>What is this?

The King of Fighters Quest is a developing Choose Your Own Adventure-style quest in which you take on the role of Katja Hartkern, an Austrailian Aborgine practioner of Kyokugen Karate and guide her day-to-day towards joining a team/preparing for the upcoming martial arts extravaganza, "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match".

All decisions are made by voting, with the first option to earn up to three or more votes winning; Combat choices are made via Rolls, with the Roll or average closest to Katja's Stat in any particular Field (IE The old-school "Roll-Under System" from Dungeons & Dragons) out of the first three submissions winning, with "Natural" 1's & 100's being the exception to this (These rules also apply in the case of multiple options with Rolls).

In the event of a Tie or DEADLOCK in regards to any decision (Combat or Otherwise), a second round of voting begins with the option with the most votes AFTER the Tie getting declared winning. Those who voted for one of the options that are part of the tie can still stand by their initial choice, OR change their vote after a Tie or DEADLOCK gets declared and Rolling for the applicable stats if needed.

>Summary:

An explosive rage overcame you, almost as if something was controlling your mind & body as you traded blows with Mai Shiranui, Fiona Graves, Tsuyako Horikawa & Shermie, your body reacting similarly to when you had stopped the armed robbery at the gas station the previous day... After finally snapping out of it (And after somehow subconsciously triggering Shermie's latent Orochi Powers, if only for a little bit), you packed up your gear and started to head out, feeling uilty about ruining the mood of the photo shoot as well as having other matters to attend to.

However, Shermie & "The New Gorgeous Team" more-or-less forgave you, as they felt that same "Out-of-body" feeling and aske you to pose for a few more photos. Cowed by their honesty and compassion, you agreed and stayed for a little bit more, wondering what had happened to Bizuki Iijima ("The Creepy Goth Chick" from earlier), especially when you went to leave and found her motorcycle still parked next to yours, despite the fact that she had alegedly gone home for the day... Suspicious of her behaviour and expecting the worst, you inspected your bike out of fear of sabbotage and took down the information about Bizuki's motorcycle before heading back inside and having a fairly long chat with the girls about what could/should they do about this...

After agreeing to drop the subject and not press it until she came after any of you (As the Local Police Force weren't to be trusted), you hit the road and went down to The Pao Pao Cafe 2 to meet up with "Blue Mary" Ryan and Terry Bogard (Who had accompanied her) for a debrief about what had happened to you over the last few months, telling them about the Dojo's perilous finacial and legal state, as well your various run-ins with hitmen, assassins, ninja and other issues that had plagued you over a few rounds of drinks...

So! Let's start things off with a vote.

>A. Continue to Spend the rest of your boozy evening with Mary & Terry, checking out the fights that are happening to start up and see if you can find someone to take home with you tonight... (Male OR Female!)

>B. Time-skip to later in the evening when Katja stumbles back into her suite at The Imperial and see if you've sobered up enough to try and train a little before the day ends...

>C. Time-Skip to later that night as Katja and go on a short, alchahol-fueled "Dream Sequence". (This option might not amount to anything in the end, but it's a way to gain insight on all of the things Katja's thinking about while NOT thinking about anything)

>D. Timeskip to the Early in the Next Day as Katja Hartkern while she attempts to sober up enough to get ready for Lee Pai Long's accupuncture treatments.

>E. "Run This Southtown" (Assume Roles of Andy Draco & Kazunori Kazahaya while Katja sleeps off partying with Terry & Mary)

>F. Actually play out "Patriarchy Fighter 2014" and assume the Role of Fiona Graves & Tsuyako Horikawa while Katja sleeps off partying with Terry & Mary.

>You now assume Direct Control of Fiona Graves & Tsuyako Horikawa

Fiona cricks her neck and stretches her shoulder out of habit while Tsuyako puts on her clothes for the day (A rather revealing Red & White One-Piece Wrestling Singlet, with Black Gloves, Boots and Red Kneepads), Mai Shiranui tapping her foot out of delayed frustration at the two of you taking so long to get ready.

"Whenever your ready Tsuya-Tsuya" you tell her through the door as Mai asks "why does she still wear her old costume underneath all of her clothes?"

"Why do you?" You grin before adding "I'dunno, you never know when you've got to throw down" As she walks out, a Red Tracksuit with White Trim covering everything underneath and her wihte headband fluttering in the breeze..

"God, do you you have like anything ELSE to wear? I keep feeling like you're from an Anime or something" Mai teases, Tsuyako blushing as she explains "I have to custom-order and have all of my clothes tailored; I haven't gotten any word for when they'll be in yet to collect..."

"Yeah, I know we'll get them from Shermie's, but she sounded a little coy about it before she went to check in with the photographers over which photos to use" You add, following Mai out to the front door as you watch her get out her keys... "Hang on, does your car have a keyless starter?" You ask, worried a little at Bizuki's antics from earlier. 'What, you're not serious are you? Who could even get low enough to plant something underneath Andy's car?" Mai asks in reply.
>>

"Jeez, you two are big babies, I swear..." you overhear Mai say as she gets out the starter and fires Andy's car up, nary and explosion to be seen as you and Tsuyako get inside, overhearing her point out "My mom was fighting Yakuza when I was six years old and makes Great Teacher Onizuka look soft; You learn to be cautious growing up" before speeding off, the sounds of Megadeth's classic album "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" blasting from the speakers with the ride back into South Town proper being relatively uneventful (The sight of an oddly dressed man with pale skin and carrot-Red hair "Moshing" and doing the "Metal Horns" at you while stopped at an intersection being a notable highlight).

"God, I'm STARVING" You whine, your unique dietary concerns getting the better of you as Tsuyako agrees. "Yeah... Where should we go for lunch?"

"Shit man, anything sounds good to me right now... How about that Pizza Joint that opened up about a block and a half down?" You ask, Tsuyako replying "Well... I guess it would be alright; Afterall, it IS our "Off-Day" as far as dieting goes."

"End of the line girls; I gotta get this thing back to the interior specialist before the leather starts to stink" Mai tells you two as she pulls up to your appartment building.

"OK, see ya' around Dragon lady" You reply with a smirk as you and Tsuyako get out and start walking up the steps to the front door, waiting for her to pull away and get out of sight before asking "What the hell's up with her? She still mad about us spilling beer everywhere when she hit that pothole?"

"Maybe... But I think she's just jealous of us; She's been the self-proclaimed queen of fighters for how long now? So seeing the two of us show up and steal her spotlight wouldn't make her happy" Tsuyao replies as the two of you walk down the halls of this old, but rather charming building, heading to the rickety, old elevator.
>>
>>29854462

"Why'd you get her on our team then Instead of that Sumo chick, or That one Mexican Babe, or even that Pink Haired woman that could fling water from her fingertips?" you ask, the sounds of the antique elevator's door opening and closing as the two of you step inside it. "Honestly? ... I felt kind of sorry for her; From what I've read, she hasn't been a real threat to win since, like, the 5th or 6th KoF Tournament and recieves more press becausefor her outfits than her abilities..." Tsuyako matter-of-factly replies before adding "I guess I just wanted to give her a chance to win it for once... Besides, that one chick with te silver hair bugged the crap out of me."

"Fair enough" you answer as the elevator starts to slowly climb up, kicking yourself a little as the stairs could've been quicker, though you grin at the chance of spending a little more down-time with Tsuyako before tonight and she seems to grin back at you...

>A. Continue Chatting about tonight's plans with her; Which moves to use, how to sell them, who they need to talk to before the match, things like that...

>B. See what she thinks of the Promo you've been working on; She's been pretty spot-on as far as getting your words to "Flow" right. (Roll 1d100 for Luck) (IE her receptiveness to listen to you ramble about non-sensical bullshit whilst slipping into "Kayfabe")

>C. Switch to Tsuyako's point-of-view and ask her how her "Search" has been coming along. (Roll 1d100 for Luck in regards to Fiona opening up about her true motives for entering "The Infinite Match")

>You are now in direct control of Tsuyako Horikawa

You lean up against the side-railing of this ancient elevator, listening to it rattle and hum as it gently guides you and Fiona up to your floor... A part of you wants to just turn around and give Fiona a kiss, but you force that back down for now and ask "So... How's it going for the search for that Sword?"

"Getting there, I guess..." Is all she says, clearly not really comfortable about talking to you yet about such a personal part of her life. You respect that; It's part of what makes Fiona so mesmerizing to you, that she's as easy around others as anyone but doesn't seem to . Put it another way, you've lived and trained with this woman for almost six months now and the only concrete information is that her extended family is from Iceland, they were part of some kind European "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" for martial artists and that she arrived in United States when she was 18...

The elevator stops and the dor slowly slides open as you wordlessly follow Fiona towards your modest appartment, her mind seemingly gearing up for the night as she asks "You wanna relax for a bit, order up some food and eat-in before we grab our gear and split? We don't need to show up at the stadium 'till Six."

>A. Stay in, lay out on the couch and grab a bottle of water or something while Fiona orders up some food. (Roll 1d100 for the Speed in which that food gets to your place)

>B. Joke about trying to "Double-Up" on the Pizza delivery guy and see how she reacts while you do some stretches and warm-up punches and kicks (Roll 2d100 for Luck in Fiona's Reaction And Dexterity for the stretching)

You walk into your pad, take a bottle of water from the fridge and flop down on the couch with a big yawn, Fiona ordering a couple of "Meat-Lover's" Pizzas from that place she had wanted to head over to as you rest your eyes. "Probably just wants to check out one of the delivery boys" you chuckle to yourself as you hear Fiona hang up the phone and walk over to the living room, sitting down in a chair next to you and taking a weary breath. "Long day, huh? Especially with that shit down on the beach" she asks, letting her body get comfortable in her "Flirty" clothes (Backless Halter-top that shows of her developed back and impressively large cleavage and dark Blue Jeans). "Yeah..." you sigh out, still resting your eyes as you hear her say "Well, I think I'll take a nice, long shower" with an impish grin, clearly hinting at you possibly joining her...

For whatever reason, you really aren't in the mood for that, so you wave your hand and say "No thanks" and slowly drift off to a light sleep for about fifteen minutes, the sound of Fiona humming in the shower (Having left the door open so you could hear her, that lovable witch!) tempting you oh-so-much... Until you hear a knockon the door and smell of hot food wafting into the living room.

You lazily get up, walk over and check the peep-hole and see a ruggedly handsome black guy with dreads and a nose ring holding your food. However, as you open the door and start to get your wallet, Fiona's "Ultima" persona starts to rumble from the bathroom, screaming "In my dreams I woke up like diddy did, sucking in blood while mighty asteroids scorched the earth with no life...I could see, engaged in mortal intercourse with vomiting from my ear! While I stand, sucking up wax, from dieties WOOOOOUNDS... You will bow out the candles of TRUE INSANITY! To CTHULHU, Azathoth; Tremble before me AND DESPAAAAAIIIIIIRRRRRR!!!!"

The Delivery guy's eyes widen as you try not to crack up at Fiona practicing her "Kayfabe" in the shower (And be thankfull that the walls are made of thick materials), handing him a little extra money to have to deal with it as he quickly hands you your food and equally gets the hell out of there, listening to the echo of his footsteps as you smile, close the door behind you and see Fiona in a pink fluffy bathrobe, drying her hair off with a towel.

"What... The hell was that?!" you laugh out, nearly dropping your food as you calm yourself down and add "Seriously, I think my sides just cleared ORBIT!"

"I'dunno, to be honest..." Fiona sheepishly replies, explaining "The booking team told me to shoot from the hip more, act more menacing; They said that the earlier stuff was "Too Cutie Honey" and wanted me to act like I could fly offthe handle any minute..."

"Well, you scared the holy shit out of the delivery guy, if that's worth anything" you chuckle as you set the boxes own on the small table in the kitchenette, adding "I had to hand him the money as quick as I could before he BAILED out of here."

"Ah, you actually PAID him? I just would've took the food and watched him run" Fiona replies, grabbing a slice from one box before asking "So, be honest... Is it stupidly awesome? Or just stupid?", munching on a slice before adding "Because if it's straight-up retarded I'm going back to the guy that suggested it and shove that clause of my contract up his ass."

If you're gonna ramble, at least vaguely make sense. It's fine to have lots of imagery, especially if it matches the character of a mighty warrior seeking Valhalla, a real warrior-poet. Be smart, but be really powerful about it, y'know? Make sure people know you're serious.

You take a long look at her, eating a few slices of Pizza as you start to shake your head "No", Fiona's mood and head dropping. "Look... If my mom taught me ANYTHING about doing a character like this, is that if you're going to ramble, at least try to vaguely make sense. It's fine to have lots of imagery, especially if it matches the character of a mighty warrior seeking Valhalla, a real warrior-poet like you are fighting... But you HAVE to be smart, be really powerful about it all, y'know?"

Fiona nods, then takes a sigh as she replies "Yeah, I hear you... The thing is that they want to try and make my character less, I'dunno, wordly and more marketed towards the dumb fucks that spend all day on Forumns "Gotta be "Meme-Worthy" and "YouTube clickable", I guess."

"And who's to say that you can't be? Just make sure people know you're serious is all. Like, it's cool to be a warrior poet searching for immortality who means what she says, but don't just say weird shit and expect people to understand it..." you reply, seeing Fiona's mood darken.

"Well hell, even if I spoke as lucidly as I could, they probably still won't understand it..." Fiona mumbles, not totally hostile to your truths but not exactly eager towards them either... "True... But at least you won't look like an idiot if people actually start to listen. Plus, I'm pretty sure invoking elder ones is a BAD thing... Right?" you tell her as you follow her towards her room, patiently waiting out front as she changes.

"It's easy for you to say Tsuya-Tsuya; They just made you out to be like your mom is in real-life and you just FLY with it..." you hear her say as she starts to zip up her bags, grabbing her ring-gear and make-up kits. "Hey, doing those promos and going out there acting like my mom is the hardest thing I do, OK? And I fucking hate it as much as you hate whatever this crap they've got you doing now." you tell her, conviction swelling in your voice.
>>
>>29860119

Fiona pauses at that as you lick the grease off of your fingers, hearing her zip-up a pair of leather pants that she usually wears to try and "Glam Up" on the way to the arena... You shrug, a part of you wanting to give her space as you head back into the kitchen to wash your hands, thinking about what you'll wear afterward when you feel Fiona wrap her arms around you, her muscles holding you in a tight embrace as she whispers "I just wanted to say thanks... I know you're sensitive about how you make others feel."

You're struck by those words as you silently ponder what would be the right thing to do, or say...

>A. Turn around, hug her back and say "Thank you" in the cutest Japanese voice you can do, then switch back to English and tell her "So... What time is it? The Stadium's across town and our car's in the garage across the street..."

You don't say anything and just let Fiona's warm, muscular frame cuddle you for a moment, basking in your own turbulent mixture of emotions as she sturns you around, a warm smile

That's when you make the first move and give her a deep, knowing kiss.

"Was this what was on your mind, Tsuya?" Fiona asks, slighty surprised at your fowardness today. "Hell Yes! Since the minute I walked in you showering in that Sling Bikini at that mansion" you reply with a cheeky smile as you use your lower center of gravity to "Glomp" Fiona over, the two of landing on the couch with your hands pinning Fiona's arms back

"Frisky today, are we?" She teases as you blush, explaining "Well, yeah.. it's better to get this out now before I lose it and go off on a random stranger in front of, like, THOUSANDS of people right?" while trying to playfully wrestle with her, Fiona's halter-top comming undone as she says "You're just too cute sometimes, you know?" before giving you a kiss in return, the camera fading to black...

>Time of day: 6:15 PM

>Days until "The Infinite Match": 18

>You now assume Direct Control of Fiona Graves & Tsuyako Horikawa

>Later that Evening...

You and Tsuyako race up to the parking lot behind the old South Town Municipal Stadium, running a little late as you admit "Damn... Should've just stopped after the kissing and went straight on in; Traffic's a fucking nightmare tonight..."

Tsuyako nods, blushing a little but smiling as she replies 'Nah, it was worth it. I'm ready for anything tonight!"

"Yeah, sure you are... So when are you gonnaclue your mom into his, huh? Or does she think it's "Just a phase" and that you'll find a guy after you decide to retire?" you ask, knowing fully well of most Japanese people's "Limited" concepts of gay & lesbian relationships as you pull into a parking spot near the back entrance.

"I think she's cool with it; She admitted to me privately that back when she wrestled, most of the orginizations she worked for didn't allow drugs, alchahol OR Men backstage..." Tsuyako replies, grabbing her gear for later tonight as the two of you get out and lock up the car (An older Infiniti G35 sedan) and start walking, the click of your heels echoing through the concrete lot as you walk towards a seemingly violent-looking mob made up of women, all of them trying to block anyone from entering the service entrance as security guards attempt to hold them back in vain as their "Leader" yells over a megaphone "S-W-F Kills S-J-W's!", chanting it to the cheers as you roll your eyes, trying to ignore the baying display of "Marks"...

Which is when you get hit in the head by an egg, Tsuyako covering you from the lettuce head and tomatoes thrown at you as she tries to get you to move out of the way of a bucket of pig's blood dousing you, a righteous fury overwhelming you as you scream "WHAT THE FUCK was THAT!?", the blood all over you and dripping down your body...
>>
Appologies again for the long delay; Had totake care of a few things and type up this all up.

>>29863749

The ringleader of this mob brushes past the security and yells "See!? Yet anoher that doesn't wake up to the injustice of the system and PREFERS to be ogled and gobbled up like hamburger!", the echo of the megaphone blaring in your ears only drowned out by the sound of the 20+ people behind derisively making cow noises at you and Tsuyako, a DARK fury seething up inside of you as Tsuyako tugs at your arm, pleading with you to come over to the front entrance and trying not make too much of a scene...

Tsuyako glares at the woman holding the microphone, recognising her as the very same "Activist" that had fought Shermie Tooth-and-Nail forthe rights to open her swimwear store, as well as start up a kickstarter that's dangerously close to reaching it's goal of "Spending any amount of money it takes to Keep women like Mai Shiranui from competing in "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match: Clarrisa Bryant, the current head of South Town's planning comission and it's self-proclaimed "Cultural Attache". "So what, is looking pretty misogyny to you now?" Tsuyako asks, barely hiding the venom in her voice as your body starts to shake from pure rage...

The words that come from out of her mouth surprise the two of you, yet don't as she exclaims "YES! ANY action that supports the rape culture is misogyny and ignorant people like you two are the reason the patriarchy still oppresses so many women underneath the male gaze, the same one that drives society to a crossroads of DESTRUCTION!"

You take a long, hard breath, shutting out the hoots and hollers from the crowd behind her and try not to hyperventilate as you reply "No, It's not, because "Misogyny" is defined basically as "hatred or dislike of women"; Making a woman nothing but sexy in your eyes just means you want to fuck her, not hate her", a devilish grin forming on your face at that...

However, Clarrisa fires back by retorting "SEX is an act of hate and oppression, you ingrate!"

The two of you pause at that, not quite knowing what to say or how to even respond to such a warped viewpoint, though you start to notice that something's "Off" with Clarrisa's eyes: They seem almost "Hollow", souless even while her voice doesn't quite sound natural to your ears ow that you stop to think about it...

You take a look at this woman, freckled face hidden behind black hair... And nothing seems to be TOO off with her, on review: She just seems like she's just a "Typical" insane person, or maybe going on a reeeeally dry spell or something.

You decide to humor her a little by saying "You know what? I disagree when we're talking about the common IE rational/non-tumblr applications of the word... But this is not really the best place to the discuss that and I'm going to get told to fuck off back to whichever hole I crawled out of, so whatever; Let's get this shit off me inside Tsuyako."

"Tsuya-Tsuya" smiles at that (Hoping that this little stand-off won't eat into your already-strained prep time with "Angel", the "Silver-Haired Chica" you had talked about earlier), but Clarrisa again won't seem to let the two of you "Off the Hook" so-to-speak.

"What the fuck do you disagree with me over? The dictionary definition of the word "Misogyny", or are you saying that your stunted little mind has to do mental gymnastics to try and contort sexualization into hatred like how you're SUPPOSED to?"

You raise an eybrow at that, again a part of you not knowing what to say or even IF you should respond to such obvious "Flame-Bait" ...

You ask Clarrisa "I just want to know how one thing: How long until finding males and females attractive is sexist and misogynistic in itself? What do women really WANT, by your definition? All men to turn into homosexuals and all women to become genderless or something? All men to honestly start disliking women and dislike being around them? Because people like YOU are making that bit sound REALLY appealing right now..."

Curiously, Clarrisa doesn't have a ready-made answer for that line of theory, stammering "Y-You're supposed to find me or Men attractive, but never show it in any way, shape or form..."
>>
>>29865856

You genuinely laugh at that, your voice a low burble as you reply "That's fucking funny... OK, Deal."

"W-What?!" she asks, Tsuyako holding her tongue as you go off on a tangent:

"From this day forth, I, Fiona Graves, will now start treating my fellow woman as you think men already treat you and disregard them, and YOU, as a 'Gender'. That means No more 'Ma'am' shit, No more holding doors for people, No more trying to 'be polite' bullshit, No more 'ladies first' shit, No more pulling out a chair for ANYONE, No more getting up on the bus so they can sit down, No more helping them out by changing the oil in their car or 'bike, or lifting something heavy..." You pause, taking a breath before exclaiming "Congratulations! I will now never be sexist again!"

Clarrisa doesn't seem to know how to react to you as the even the crowd is cowed by your words...

Which is when you then suddenly get a dark look on your face, a serious tone creeping into your voice as you claim "Now leave before I call the cops on all of you for wasting my time", then storm inside, grabbing Tsuyako by the arm and dragging you with her as more security arrives to break up this "Peaceful" Protest.

>Meanwhile, Elsewhere in the parking lot...

Bizuki Iijima sits in the passenger seat of a parked car, having a grandstand seat of what had just unfolded and actually damning her bad luck for a change. "Those two are stronger-willed than I thought..." She muses, yawning as she starts to blow-dry her nail polish on her fingers. "Oh well, the sight of seeing people act like idiots will show up sooner-or-later, I suppose" before mysteriously vanishing into a thick, black cloud of smoke that envelopes her body, leaving nothing behind as Police Sirens start to blare, the night filled with flashing blue & red lights...

Your arm gets dragged as you walk past a few of the Southtown Wrestling Federation's "Regulars"; "Jimmy the Seal" Saligranno, Hulk Flair, "Dangerous" David Wessel (Fucking around with his so-called "Boxing" gimmick for the cameras) before one of the true "Good guys" of SWF, "The Griffon Mask" Tizoc asks "My goodness! What happened to you two?"

"Protesters outside tried to bar us from entering the Arena" Fiona says, wiping off her forehead as you chip in "I guess we were too sexy for them to handle, huh?"

Fiona smirks at that and Tizoc lets out a laugh, his mask almost seeming alive as he says "I'm just glad that you two are alright; You're among the stars of the Women's Division, regardless of your... Current standing" Tizoc scowls, pointing out that writing staff currently have you & Fiona booked as "Heels" that are going through a transitional phase (And also drawing attention to the fact that Tizoc treats this all as being REAL, IE "Living for Kayfabe" as you've heard it called)...

"Yeah, well, d'you know where the showers are Chicken Mask? I gotta get this stench off of me" Fiona asks, using a "Pet" name she had come up for Tizoc in fairly blunt way,

"Over to the right, in the Women's Locker room" he replies, though you quickly say "Thank you" as nicely as you can, this time dragging fiona by the arm as you ask "I know you're in abad mood, but Come On!"

"Do you know how hard this shit's gonna be to get out of my blouse? Or my pants?" Fiona asks, clearly not thrilled at her current condition as the two of you make your way through the Women's Lockerrooms and find the showers, stepping in as you help Fiona out of her sticky clothes, the blood all over her frame seemingly reminding you of norse godesses and valkyries...

You think about offerring to scrub her down in the shower, but decide not to after she shoots you a look that your minds reads "Not right now OK?".

"OK... I'm going to go look for Angel so we can go over a few things, yeah?" You ask as Fiona steps under the steaming hot water and starts to wash herself off, annoyedly saying 'Yeah..." before asking "Hey, what time is it?"

You check you phone and reply "Uh, 6:22 Fio-Chan; I'll get right on finding her!", heading out of the showers and looking around for your "Dance Partner" for the night... And not finding her. ANYWHERE. Not after you looked in the men's locker rooms, the Bathrooms, The Concession stands out near the entrance (Where you noticed a small gathering of fans with signs to cheer you on, but didn't feel like signing autographs) and basically gave up by around quarter to 7 PM, less than fifteen minutes until your supposed curtain call...

You headed back to the Dressing Room you always had used with Fiona, opening the door to find the girl you were looking for "Zipping-Up" Fiona, her rather odd clash of Black & Deep Blue leather struggling to contain her incredible body.

"Uh... Hola?" you ask, your announciation not the greatest as Angel answers "Hola. We need to talk about tonight, right?", her voice sounding almost cat-like in it's caedence.

"So... Ok, this is supposed to be the two of us on you, right?" You ask as she nods, adding "How do you work?"

"Stiff... I can't really help it" Angel replies, a whimsical smile on her face as Fiona wonders aloud "You just want to do a shoot then? It might be better than trying to come up with something on the fly with like 10 Minutes 'till go time."

No Worries Tiger; I know how hard it can be to try and regain sleep... I don't think I've had more than 6 Hours a night since this thing got started.

===

You nod, then start to explain your night as Fiona turns around and starts hasitly doing your make-up. "Maybe you could just make it LOOK really vicious? We got into a fight on a photo shoot today with a friend over..." You pause, thinking of the right words as Fiona "Draws" up your eyes, "Stuff..."

"We both got our money ran in that one, I'll tell you what" Fiona adds, adding some blush to your cheeks.

"Who was it?" Angel asks, curious at the idea of possibly seeking out a new "Target" to test her super-human fighting skills on.

"She's a friend of ours, Katja? The one girl we thought about calling up to join us in "The Infinite Match" before the writers practically begged us to go with Mai..." You explain, your eyes closed as Fiona adds the last few touches of eyeliner and lipstick to your face.

Huh... She must be pretty good to really give you two a run" Angel smirks, getting up out of her chair and stating "We'll improvise out there, yeah? All I need to really do is my Winds Fairground or the Blue Monday Parade, then hit Survivor's Banquet and call it a night, 'kay?"

"OK, sure... Just be warned that I like to do a little of everything and I'm gonna go for at least one high-flying move off the turnbuckle and that Fiona'll brawl with you" you tell her, Angel giving you a shrug before standing up, forcing the zipper of her cropped jacket to cover her chest and walks out, her hips swaying and a "Cheshire Cat' Grin on her face as you hear a knock on the door.
>>
>>29876321

"Sounds like it's show time, eh?" Fiona asks, the two of you nodding as you both get up, Tuyako taking off her Red & White tracksuit (Reveal the rather "Racy" ring gear underneath) and walk out, Angel's theme music already starting to play as the roar of the crowd throughout the Arena starts to get louder...

You zoom past the others in the lockerroom, your body going almost too fast for most people's eyes to register (Aside from seeing a Silver, Black & Blue-Colored blur of motion) while you make your way towards the entrance ramp that leads down to the arena proper.

While most world-class track athletes and sprinters would be hurting after the run you just did, you don't even break a sweat (Though you DO take a few breaths, mainly to psyche yourself up for slipping into "Kayfabe") as the roar of the Arena's crowd reaches a fever pitch, the announcer billing you from Tijuana, Mexico (For which you silently chuckle; You haven't been to Mexico in months) and introduces you as "The Angel" (Screwing up on the pronounciation as always; "It's AN-HELL damn it!"), your sour expression somewhat ruining the "Face" billing you were given as you unzip your jacket and make your way to the over-sized, sixe-sided Wrestling Ring that's unique to the SWF.

You put on a big smile when your feet hit the canvas, waving to the crowd and going up on the turnbuckle and shaking yourself around provactively before heading back down, resting your arms out on the ring ropes as the lights dim and a "Metal" music track starts to fill the sound speakers...

"AAAAAnnnd her Opponents... From Okinawa, Japan and the darkest Reaches of Parts Unknown... At a combined weight of 417 Lbs, It's The Divas of Destruction! ULTIMA AND TSUNAMI TSUYAKO!!!"

You grin like a cheshire cat as "Ultima" & Tsuyako walk down the aisle, a part of you still excited at the thought of clashing with these two as they're both known for preffering to work "Stiff" (IE Hit hard), which suits you just fine...

So Angel isn't deterred from being formerly associated with NESTS and is willing to inject herself back into society despite her potential culpability in the conspiracy? She's got balls.

You zip up your jacket again and tighten your gloves, then strut out to the center of the ring and start to circle "Ultima", eyeing her as the two of you move like opposite hands of a clock around the ring before you both run towards each other, Ultima's arm outstretched and your hands by your waist as you try to grab onto her shoulder, run up her body and try to kick her down and away from you... However, you misjudge her speed and get tackled, Ultima slamming you down onto the mat and landing a quick fist-drop to your stomach.

Though you feel it hurt you, you can tell that Ultima was holding back as you try to sweep-kick her, though she hops over it with a well-timed Dropkick, knocking you down again.

Though her boots don't exactly taste nice, you again shrugg off the pain and try to break free of Ultima's choke-grab, her eyes suggesting that you could weasel your way out of this with a sommething flashy-enough in spite of her menacing grin...

Angel's game is revolved around her mix-up and frame-trap ability, as well as being tactical with her "Teleport" (That's actually the basis for Katja's "Raijin Sprint" and works similarly to Rock Howard's "Rage Run")... I also know that she was STUPID GOOD in 2k2 and is one of the best in 2k2 UM (Which... curiously, isn't THAT big of a deal, especially when a character like Hinako Shijou has 100%.Combos and Infinites in that game...

A devilish grin forms on your face as you run up to Ultima and Jab her her in the chest, then start a "Chain Circle Combo" by landing a Foward kick, staggering her long enough to hit her with a Double-Armed Smash, into a Heel Kick (That actually misses her body, but is close enough only trained eyes would notice it) that ends the combo with an Elbow Smash, an Uppercut, an INCREDIBLE-looking backwards spring kick, ANOTHER Elbow Smash and finally ending with a kick to the ground, sweeping Ultima over to the otherside of the ring as you spring up and clap your hands, trying to pump up the crowd...

While that IS true, it's not as much of a problem in 2k2 UM as it was in "Vanilla" 2k2... Put it another way, learning how to play Angel in either of those games IS an investment of time and skill, but the pay-offs and rewards grew over time as different players discovered various new parts of Angel's "Game", much as with Hinako, Billy Kane, Vanessa and May Lee (Who are all among the mythical "Top Tier" in 2k2). Your eyes widen a little as you slowly get up off the canvass, Angel playing to the crowd with her "Prefunctory" elements of style; Even though you could tell that she was holding back, the power in her strikes left you feeling a bit dazed...

Tsuyako noted this as well and was making her hands wave, signalling you to tag out and send her in your place... You shook her off though as you wipe a small cut from your lip and got up, Angel trying to smash into again with her take on the classic "Polish Hammer" move, though you dodge it and grab her, seemlessly pushing her in an "Irish Whip" into the Ring "Ropes" and launch her into a "Spear" Tackle, Huffing out a breath and leering at her a little, your "Kayfabe" showing up a little.

However, Angel fights you every agonising step of the way as The Referee comes over to break it up just as you were about to attempt the suplex.

Being a "Heel", you ignore his first few warnings, though Angel eventually uses her super-human strength to elbow you in the ribs, breaking your hold as she unloads a barrage of punches and kicks at you, her blinding speed proving to be too muchfor you to handle as she finishes off with a Suplex and attempts to go for the pin...

You hear the ref slide over, laying his hand down for "One!", but then practically push Angel off of like doing a bench press as soon as his hand layed down for "Two!", your body shaking as you start to yell and scream in Icelandic at the top of your lungs, saying how you'll "Call upon the Ancients to TEAR DOWN MY CHAINS AND LET THE DOG LOOSE!", not caring if anyone would undertsand as Angel looks at you, obviously pissed off at your eccentric display (And mad that you had to go to such semantics so early into the match).

You grit your teeth and grasp Angel's arms, a classic "Test of Strength" pose as you quickly over-power her and give her a head butt. That knocks her off-balance long enough to grab her midsection and deliver a German Suplex, the crowd half-expecting you to go for a pin, but you're only getting started... You grasp Angel's hair and smack hee in theface with your free hand twice, the force of each blow nearly knocking her out of your grip as you then grab and lift her up, setting up for three successive throws: A Powerbomb, a Side-Slam and a High-Angle Sulex finishing the trunctuated Move (As the "Full" Version of it is one you're working on busting out in "The Infinite Match") and go for the pin, Angel legitimately dazed and confused at your outburst of energy and the Audacity of landing your very own finishing move, "The Game of Death" AKA "G.O.D"...

When Tsuyako hops over the ropes and breaks up your cover on the "Two!" Count! Genuinely surprised at this, you look up and see her slap you across the face, screaming "Why the FUCK didn't you tag me in?!" in Okinawan Dialect Japanese as The Ref tries to break the two of you up, Tsuyako legitimately pissed off at you for seemingly hogging all of the limited match time the two of you have...

However, you don't break Kayfabe (Even as a part of you feels almost compelled to) as the two of you notice Angel getting up, holding her head and yelling "You wanna play rough!? OK! Just Bring it Bitches!!!" with a deadly gleam in her eyes...

>You now assume Direct Control of "Tsunami Tsuyako" Horikawa

>New Thread Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMeJEzyVBD0

You pat "Ultima" on the back, telling her "We'll talk about it later; I got this!" in your native tongue as she quickly hops back over the ropes before the referee catches her.

Angel roars out of her half-crouch and tries to get you into a "Cross-Up", only to watch her drill the referee instead... This giving you the opening to dash towards Angel's back, letting your footsteps be heard as she turns and tries to kick you, but you duck under the strike and tackle her legs, assuming an MMA-Style "Full Mount" Position as you try to calm her down with a barrage of (Pulled) piston-like punches to her face.

Angel covers up and starts yelling "No Mas!" as you smoothly transition into a Fujiwara Armbar. However, Angel isn't too pleased at you as she wigggles her way upright, your body still locked on her arm as she tries to lift you up off the canvas with her unbelievable strength as the Referree gets up and starts to count you out of the submission...

You lock on to Angel's arm and refuse to let go, squeezing it tighter and tighter to try and get her to legitimately submit to you while she No-Sells your desparate attack, lifiting your large frame up off the ground a few times as she tries to land 'Blue Monday Parade", one of her signature finishers.

One the third attempt to hit this attack, you let go and dropkick off of her chest, springing backwards and only just managing to land on your feet as Angel charges towards you again, throwing out a wild barage of punches and CRAZY-looking kicks, though you manage to dodge and/or block ost of them, though it seemsed that she only did that to get in close enough to try and throw you around; The two of you locking up and putting your heads down, Angel trying to use her super-strength to overcome your sheer size advantage as you wonder what to do next...

You put your head down as you lock horns with "The Angel", though you start to wonder if she's mellowed down a little as you quietly ask "Are you still shooting?", not getting a response as she pushes away from you as you wait back and patiently look for an opening, a mistake, SOMETHING to keep your game up and Angel from possibly injuring you.

You spot your oportunity whenshe tries to jab you in the stomach: You grab her arm and seemingly go for an easy armbar, but instead you use your Greco-Roman Wrestling roots to quickly head towards her legs and grab one of them in an Ankle Lock, grabbing Angel's leg as she tries to scrape her way to the ring's ropes as The Referree checks if Angel's going to finally submit...

Curiously enough, you feel as though you're going through the same experience "Ultima" was going through earlier; You can't shake the fact that this is supposed to be Angel's night to shine, not yours... You decide let the hold go when the ref starts to count you out as you looked at her from across the ring, a scowl hiding your inner excitement surrounding the Paparazzi as the crowd starts to yell "Fuck'em Up An-Hell, FUCK'EM UP!", followed by two claps as the two of you start to reach your "End Games", as the time in the match is starting to tick away...

You start throwing strikes at Tsuyako, Ultima waving her hand in the corner to try and get a tag-in as you let her knee you in the stomach and Irish Whip you into the corner her partner was standing near.

You play up the impact of the your body hitting the Turnbuckle as "The Divas of Destruction" Tag-in, Tsuyako grabs your midsection and sets up for a suplex while Ultima grabs HER for a "Double Hanging Suplex", slaming all three of you into the canvas from the middle post on the 'buckle. You get the worst of the move, though it doesn't do THAT much damage to you, all things considered; In fact, it seems that Ultima & Tsuyako seemed to deal more damage to themselves than to you, but you can guess that they're giving you a signal to start wrapping this one up quickly as you slowly get up, gasping for breath while brushing off your shoulder.

OK then... LET'S GET HYPE!

===

You start holding out your hand, the crowd now starting to chant "Change-The-Channel!" (Followed by five claps to keep up the tempo) as Ultima glares at you, her body trembling slightly as you watch her get up off the canvas.

You can hear the Spanish-Language commentators yakking about how you're "Using psychology to try and defeat her wild opponents", but in truth you're actually starting to feel tired; Going off on the two of them at around Three Quarters of your full strength felt good at first, but you were warmly surprised at how much damage they dealt to you (Ultima in particular) in retaliation...

You flash a Cheshire Cat grin as you recklessly sprint towards her, ducking under a Clothesline attempt on Ultima's part to bounce off of the "Ropes" and kick her in the crotch. You hear the crowd audibly boo and hiss at you for this, but you don't care as Ultima mocks being in pain while setting up something you had talked with her earlier in the lockeroom about doing (Just in case "Ultima" got out of hand and forgot that this supposed to by a Wrestling match, NOT a warm-up for "The Infinite Match"):

You grab her up by her arms and steal Ultima's "Alternate" Finisher, A three part Suplex dubbed "The Chimera" (As it's a "Regular" German Suplex, followed by a Tiper Suplex, then ending on a Dragon Suplex Pin) as the ref heads over to give you the cover, Tsuyako hopping over the rope to try and break up the pin.

That she does so by body-splashing you doesn't seem to faze The Ref, who gives you the three count despite getting knocked on the head by Tsuyako's left leg, the score keeper and the crowd wondering if that last count actually was "Official" or not...
>>
Seriously, I think my router's turned into a damn toaster today...

>>29901724

You glare up at Tsuyako, who almost breaks character by looking at you with a face that you read as trying to say "I fucked that up, didn't I?"

You knee her in the stomach as you get up and then slam her down with "Blue Monday Parade", the crowd going nuts as The Referree looks legitmately dizzied by that "Unscripted" knock to the head. Hearing the crowd starting to yell and cheer you on, you feed off of their energy as you stand over her and slowly take off the elbow pad the writer's forced you to start wearing, throwing it into the crowd.

You start to wave your arms in front of you, doing a count to three before flashing through Tsuyako, your body almost too fast for cameras to accurately see before you stop, then drop your "One-and-Done" Finishing move: "Survivor's Banquet", a mighty-looking Elbow Drop.

The crowd goes crazy at that as you get up, extend your arm and slowly clasp your hand, clapping along for a few moments before bringing it back to your face and playfully wiping your mouth off with it as you gingerly waltz over and pin Ultima, the bell rining and your theme starting to play as the The Refferee groggily gets up and holds your arm aloft for a moment, though you move it away from him and go over to a Turnbuckle and climb it, your hand aloft in Mock- Triumph as you catch a Mexican Flag tossed to and start to wave it around before jumping back down and leaving the arena, a crew of paramedics on-hand to stretcher out Tsuyako & "Ultima"...

A part of you feels pretty bad after seeing them wheeled past you when you arrive in the Locker Rooms as you didn't mean to legitimately hurt them... Well, not for most of the match, anyway.

You hop into the ladies showers for a bit after getting the usual check-ups from the medical staff (Who assure you that Fiona & Tsuyako's injuries look worse than they are) as you go through the match in your mind, thinking about whether or not you should've acted out at them... On one hand, the booking team had told you and Fiona that your character was going to start off as a Face with Heel-like "Moments of Passion", so you don't feel TOO awkward about doing it; It's more the question of "Should I have used as much strength as I had?" that's on your mind as you finish up and dry yourself off.

You start to slip back into another set of your clothes (Grey Chaps & Gloves, Navy-Blue Jacket and replacing the "SWF-Mandated" full-bottom trunks with your own matching Navy-Blue Bikini) and check the time before you start to head out... When you hear a knock on the door.

Openimg it up, you see Fiona & Tsuyako's bandaged bodies standing in front of you, both of them clearly needing to talk... You shrug and say "Need something? I have to get going with some friends of mine."

The two of them wordlessly walk in as you close the door, locking it as you can feel that this is going to be one hell of a screaming match... Except it isn't: Fiona let's out a deep sigh and says "Dude, I'm fucking sorry that I went off like that so early; It just fucked up the whole flow of the match..."

You nod, agreeing with her as you reply "Yeah, I'dunno what you were going off about either; Me and the ref were waiting for your gal pal to break up the pin just after the two count" you pause, taking a breath as you admit "And I'm sorry for going stiff on the two of you when I did; Rage got the better of me."

"Hey, we both deserved it" Tsuyako replies, looking a little pensive as she turns to Fiona. "And I didn't mean to hit you like that OK? Your eyes were going crazy and slapping you was the best thing I" she softly says to her before getting cut off by a hug.

"Do you two need some privacy, or...?" You tease, Fiona & Tsuyako both looking at you with slight blushes on their faces...

You wave your hand in a "Blow it off" gesture as you head over and give them both hugs, saying "We should meet up and really fight, eh?"

"Dude, you scare the shit out of me..." Fiona chuckles, half-joking about your combat prowess before Tsuyako adds "I wouldn't mind; I'm always looking out to spar with others... But not for a few days."

You nod and say "OK. I'm gonna head out and meet up with some friends of mine...", pausing for a moment before asking "Wanna join?"

Fiona looks up at Tsuyako, both of them wordlessly debating whether to join you for a few awkward seconds before Fiona reples "Nah, not tonight... Some other time maybe?"

You non-comittedly shrug at her suggestion, saying "Could be fun... It would be nice to maybe practice before our next show on Wednesday; I don't want to rough the two of you up TOO badly next time."

"Hey, we don't mind working stiff; We just need to know how trained you are is'all" Fiona replies before you nod and head out of the locker rooms to give the "Love-Birds" some privacy...

You get a few cheers from some of the guys out in front of the Men's locker room ("Dangerous" David Wessel eyeing you a little, though you could never stand being around that "Purple-haired piece of trash") as you walk by, heading out to the rear service entrance and into the parking lot in the back of "Old" South Town Municipal Stadium (The "New" one being built while some company comes up with the money to sponsor this one) as you spot your Yellow Vespa scooter where you had parked it, though somebody had slapped a Round, Black sticker on it with the Letter "P!" in white... Shrugging, you hop on and fire it up, letting the 50cc Engine warm up before putting on a pair of goggles and heading out into the stream of traffic, the local time not quite 8 PM as you ride off to a bar and grill...
>>
I feel the need to point out that Haruko's Vespa was a 180SS, a classic ('64 to '68) "large frame" Vespa with (as the name implies) a 180cc engine.
>>
>>29906572

Thanks for pointing that out; I was trying to make a nod to the fact that Angel, among other things, LOVES 50cc Motorcycles and Scooters and basically bought her current mode of transportation on the assumption of it being one...

>>29906337

The traffic is relentless as you weave in and out, going around cars with curious grace as you wonder if getting back into fighting, back into the spotlight after all of this time was a good idea; You had jumped at the chance to get some "Action" back in your life when you had gone out bar-hopping one night and came across a couple of guys that were bragging about being invited to a King of Figher's tournament...

It wasn't as though you had any other skills aside from killing people, you mind warily thought for a moment as you get into the turn-signal lane; Your try-out and practice games for Mexico's National Soccer Team ended in you punching out some assistant coach out after he tried to "Stick it where the sun don't shine" while you were changing clothes... Hell, you were STILL devastated at losing K9999 and it took you a long time to get over it enough to go out and be social again (Though you ALSO admitted that he wasn't going to around forever, what with the chaotic and unstable nature of his powers) as you find the place.

It looks a little more "Urban" than you thought as you park the bike up near the curbside, shooting a glare at the Valet who immediately backs off and you walk inside, the cheery music and clientele already getting on your nerves as you look around for them, endless neon signs reminding you that you're at "The Pao Pao Cafe" while you eventually spot them up in a VIP Booth above the bar's so-called "Fighting Stage", their hands and annimated movements suggesting that their playing some kind of game of chance with cards ("Strike Two", you think to yourself) as you walk up and around to their table.

"Hey there... Don't mind us and a seat" he says, tipping his Fedora at you as you start to wonder if this was a good idea... Unfortunately, tact isn't a word in your vocabulary as you bluntly ask "OK, what's up? Who're you two and where's my invite to the new KoF?"

An awkward silence hits the table like one of your bodyslams ona SWF Mat, the Asian guy in the hat sort of shifting off to one side as the tall, imposing man on your left (With long hair and a scraggly beard, eyes hidden behind sunglasses) asks "Do you really want to know?" in a low, gravelly voice.

>Angel's connection to K9999
I figured it would come up. I had it in my head that during the NESTS saga, Angel was forced to keep an eye on the highly volatile K9999 for reasons. When NESTS fell and Angel promptly ditched, she lost track of K9999 in the chaos and went "fuck it." Eventually, though, K9999 reappeared, being creepily obsessed with Angel and stalking her, since to him, she's the only link he has left between him and NESTS, plus she's hot and she at least put up with him. Angel likened him to a dumb and rabid dog who doesn't know his face from his ass, especially with NESTS gone; understandably sick of his shit, she eventually put down K9999 for good in one last fight.

But that's just one theory.

It also went without saying that by the point K9999 appeared, his powers were even more volatile and unstable, just like his psyche. If Angel didn't put him down, he would've self-destructed anyway, to say nothing of any international investigations after the fall of NESTS.

It also helps Angel's case that she wants nothing to do with NESTS anymore because fuck them for trying to leave her out to dry, if not almost outright sabotage her when the shit hit the fan. Apart from the K' camp, K9999 would've been her last known connection to NESTS, and him trying to drag her back to his side wouldn't fly with her.

Again, this is all just me bullshiting, so take it for what you will.

Impressive. Such a story probably would've made her SNK's answer to Cammy from Street fighter, in as far as "Being a weapon that learns how to live" (As Leona's a sullen, moody Soldier that strikes me as being more pf a "Doll" than any of M. Bison's)... Besides, who's to say all of that DIDN'T happen, but Angel doesn't want to have to bring it up at the present time?

I'll change to A in order to break the tie.
I'll admit I'm very new to KoF, but the impression I've gotten from my reading is that Leona still blames herself for being too 'weak' to resist the effects of the Riot of Blood when she was a child, so she locks away everything she considers a 'weakness', including her own emotions. Not that she can't feel, but that she chooses not to, and to hold it back when she does. Of course as I said I'm new to the fandom, so I could be way off base.

You're more-or-less on point. Heidern's military discipline being instilled into Leona turned her into a stoic. The fact that she's the biological daughter of one the Eight Heavenly Kings (the only one to openly rebel against Orochi, marking him for death by Goenitz) and is thusly susceptible to the Riot of the Blood is a particularly vulnerable point of hers, as she turns outright feral and wild.

That's what Ralf and Clark are for: to let her rampage and literally beat the sanity back into her, for which she owes her life.

I imagine that if Angel is ever asked about the K' camp (K', Maxima, Whip, Kula, Foxy, Diana), she'd think on it for a while, and then she'd say "Tell 'em...tell 'em I'm sorry. For everything. I'm a piece o' shit and don't deserve any mercy from them for what I did, but for what it's worth...I'm sorry." Then she'd tear up.

You take a good look at these two shady-looking guys and inwardly wince; A part of your mind thinks back to all of those "Fly-by-Night" "Modelling" studios that you hadtried out for, only to discover that most of them were either XXX-Related (Which, while you admit you like to fuck more than most, you don't really feel comfy doing it in front of a bunch of strangers) or only interested in "Bagging" you personally...

You shake that thought out of your mind and ask again "Where's my invite?", the icy tone of your voice making sure that you aren't fucking around.

The Asian guy looks around, then sighs "Well... We don't have one for you."

"Then why the fuck am I here? To watch you two gamble your pocket change away for kicks?" You ask, venom in your words as your "Survival" Instincts kick in.

The long-haired guy in the shades quietly explains "We called you up to offer you the chance to participate in "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match" as our third team member; We cannot get you a third invitation because our original third member got arrested for drunk driving and his possessions are in custody of the South Town Police Department."

"So yeah, if you wanna break in and get for yourself, be my guest, but that IS the reason why we can't give you one" The Asian guy adds, sipping a shot of Tequila that looks pretty good to you right about now...

You shake your head, partly to get the thought of actually drinking with these yahoos out of your mind as you ask "Then why me? This is SOUTH TOWN; Why couldn't you get someone else to fill in for you?"

"We did an open tryout, but all of the applicants were either too old, too young, past their prime, never HAD a prime, or Bat-Shit INSANE" The "Long-Hair" replies, explaining that "Aside from that, you're the only one on our radar that ISN'T in the hospital, or jail, or got deported, or ended up in the morgue..."
>>
>>29910312

You soften up a little inside at that, but put up a tough front as you ask "What if I walk away right now from the two of you? What'll happen if I refuse?"

"Hey, you're free to go if you want to; There's no pressure here... We're just two guys with spots on the roster of one the biggest Martial Arts Tournaments in years, with horrifically bad luck in finding that third leg of our Tri-Pod" The Asian guy concludes, scooping up the deck of cards you had seen these guys using and shuffling them in an impressive display of skill...

"OK... Color me, I'dunno, "Interested". But I have questions" you tell them, clearly not screwing around. They both look at each other and shrug, then the long-haired guy asks "Shoot; We got nothing to hide... Just go one a time, if you wouldn't mind."

You nod at that, realizing that you aren't exactly sounding open about all of this as your first question comes to mind: "Who ARE you two? Names, I mean."

"I'm Andrew Draco. My buddy here is Kazunori Kazahaya... We're freelancers, mostly" Andrew replies before taking a sip from a glass of water.

"Who do you work for right now?"

"The Paragon Group; They're the sponsors for this tournament and are a legitimate company with holdings and businesses in just about every field imaginable" Kazunori replies, sliding the deck of cards into his sleeves with a magician's grace.

"OK... HOW did the two of you get Entries to this?" you chatter, your nerves geting the better of you as Andrew clears his throat (Readying up a convincing-sounding "White Lie").

"We participated in a secret tournament, open to all and with the top three finishers becoming "The Wild Card Team; Apparently, the sponsors of this think that they'll be back for more and want to make those tournaments a part of it..."

"OK... So, who exactly did you try out when this all came up?" You ask, seemingly bored as you stifle a yawn.

"Eh, the usual "Fringe" fighters you hear around South Town; Franco Bash, Tsugumi Sendo, Touji Sakata, Rick Strowd, Gato, Shen Woo... Plus, you know, the usual barrage of wash-out wrestlers, Kyo Kusanagi Wannnabes that can't actually shoot flame, Ryo Sakazaki Knock-offs that couldn't throw out fireballs..." Kazunori trails off, chuckling a little at one particular team of fighters that had arrived...

"Yeah, like we said, the kind of fighters that are either too old, too young or just good enough to for KoF" Draco adds, pausing before admiting "Though, I DO think that one team of cosplayers weren't half-bad."

Kazunroi starts to crack up as he adds "Man, you haven't LIVED until you see a white chick with freckles try to cosplay Kyo Kusanagi; Looked like the Space Wars kid outta boston or somethinh."

"To be fair, when I had her punch me it didn't feel like she was weak; I just think that her style is what's holding her back" Draco adds, sipping his water before saying 'Now, the two guys that thought they were Kim's cronies? Priceless, both of them."

"Oh yeah... I heard they got development deals with a wrestling company, I think" Kazunori muses as you immediately think of the two asian guys that have started to run wild in the SWF's Tag-Team division ("Smart Chang" & "Cool Choi")...

You smirk a little, then ask "So I'm the end of the line for you guys, huh?"

"Yeah... We've only got a week until we HAVE to find somebody too; Otherwise, our entries are gonna get revoked and someone else will take them instead" Draco grumbles, clearly not happy about the thought as you wonder if you should throw these guys a bone, or something...

You take a long, hard pause and look at these two, then see yourself in their shoes; Deep down, you know or can guess that they're lying to some extent, but from how animated their voices sound you can tell that they really have invitations... Speaking of which, you clear the air a little and ask "So how much would this thing pay out? Assuming there's money of course."

"Nine Million Dollars to the winning team, split equally amongst the three members; Second Place gets $1.5 Million, with the rest of the money TBA... Though, we DO have insider info that the top eight teams will all get paid SOMETHING for their troubles" Draco replies before finishing his glass of water.

"Right..." You pause, then lay down your voice and whisper "So you guys are gangsters, right?" in the cutest voice you can muster.

"Unfortunately..." Kazajaya replies with a sigh, taking a sip of his tequila shot before adding "But we aren't looking for somebody on that front; Just a third member for our team."

"Any other kind of work for me to do if i join?" You ask, not looking forward to killing others again but somewhat understandable if you do (You were practically CREATED to become a "Living Weapon"; Killing people was going to be your legacy until NESTS imploded due to politicking and internal strife).

"No... But we DO have orders to try and beat Robert Garcia and whatever Team he's on if we can; Our boss is promissing to pay out the winner's ourse to us if we do as a bonus... Which we're happy to share with you if it'll get you on our team" Draco admits, trusting you enough to let you in on that VERY "Need-Only" information...

Seemingly thinking of all the cliched things you could say about "Joining up with a couple of crooks", you shake them out of your head and hold out a hand, saying "As long as I don't have to join you on whatever the two of you REALLY do? I'm in."

Kazunori & Draco both smile at your words, Draco sinply saying "Deal" as he shakes your hand.
>>
>>29913694

You see the two of them's body language soften up as you ask "So... Tequila Shots for a celibracion?"

"I could probably take a couple more... But Draco here's our Designated Driver" Kazunori tells you, cheerfully adding "And thanks for joining us on this; You wouldn't BELIEVE the kind of pressure the last few weeks have been for us."

"Yeah, I could tell" you reply, your mind thinking about how to act around these two as the smell of Kazunori's breath gets you excited for a few rounds of your favourite "Tipple".

"You DO know that it wouldn't have been nice to reffuse our offer after what we told you, right?"

You think his words over or a second, taking in that his tone was only half-serious and reply "If that were the case, I would've took off my shoes, shine them up real nice, turn them sunbitches sideways and stick them straight up your candy asses before either of you could BLINK", a whimsical smile on your face underlying how deadly your words could've been.

Draco smirks at that, clearly acknowledging the veiled threat and pats you on the back, saying "I'm liking this chick Kazu!"

"Yeah, I think we got ourselves a real winner on our hands here" Kazunori replies, equally scared at your threat and trying to "Make Nice" before something similar happens to either of them...

You smile a cheshire cat grin at these two and start to wonder "When's the waiter getting here? I wanna start NOW!"...

>New Thread Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se2Cg3ArHJ8

You woke up at around 7 AM, the alarm going off and the satellite radio playing an old country song softly, though your head still hurt pretty badly from the night before...

You had gone out with Terry & Mary the previous day, checking in with Mary and telling her what information you had regarding her mounting investigation of "The Paragon Group" and it's connection several different events throughout the city (Water Shortages, Traffic Jams and the New Stadium being built near the city limits all among them), but then the day turned into an alchahol-fueled blur; Faces you sort-of remember, but can't see; Voices and Music you hear and can almost recognize, but the names all escape you... You roll over to the otherside of the bed (Noting that it's still warm...?) and then slowly get up, the room spinning as you steady yourself, hobbling over to the bathroom as you vomit up whatever was left in your stomach of what you had for dinner the night before.

After wiping yourself off, you just lay your head down on the toilet seat for a few moments, basking in how wonderfully cold it feels on your face... Then strip down and take a lukewarm shower, waking you up slightly but mostly helping out with regulating your body temperature.

Feeling a little bit better afterwards, you grab a towel and cover yourself up, thinking about what to do for the day as you note it's 7 AM for no real reason as you imagine smelling something being made in the kitchen...?

You slowly make your way out towards the kitchen, the light from the rising sun harsh on your eyes as it fills the room with a warm glow. You cover your eyes and smell food being cooked as you peek out and see...

"Hey rookie... You're up early, huh?" Terry Bogard says, his hair down and wearing a frilly pink apron with the words "Kiss the Cook" on the front over his ubiquitious White T-Shirt and Blue Jeans as you briefly wonder if you're still dreaming... Then pinch yourself and find that, no, you're not and that this fighting legend of South Town is making you pancakes while you're in little more than a towel...

You shrug at the whole situation; It's not the weirdest thing you've seen in your time in South Town, though a sinking feeling starts to well up in your stomach as you ask "Mournin' Mate; Where's Mary?", your voice a little tender.

"Probably checking out the gym downstairs... She's supposed to meet up with her agent buddies for the Tournament today; Gotta look like you're still in tip-top shape, y'know?" He replies, flipping the pan up as you lazily watch a pancake fly through the air, waiting to see if it'll fall on the floor. With surprising deftness, Terry catches it with the skillet he's using and asks "How're you doin' though? You were sleeping like a log when I went to check up on you earlier"

"OK, I guess... Head's a little sore though" You admit before awkwardly saying "So...?", covering yourself up a little bit more as Terry gives you a "Knowing" look.

"Yeah... Mary asked me to come over, actually; I was all for making Rock keep you company overnight, but it's a school day after all..." He replies, the thought of him being a "Mr. Mom" making you smirk as you tell him "I'll be right back; Gotta get on some clothes" before hurriedly heading back to your room, trying not to laugh as you look for something to change into...
