(Sorry for the delay guys!)

“Hehe, this is going to be fun!” The pilot of the Kyshatria exclaims as she flies away from the Garencieres, speeding across the battlefield where she joins up with the Red Unicorn.

"I'm here to help litttttttle brother~" The Kyshatria pilot says in a musical voice to which you can almost her a small embarrassed groan from the Red Unicorn's pilot.

“Mr. Crocker. I will focus on getting rid of that ship, my energetic colleague will focus on that other MP Nu Gundam with the funnels, could you please support my wingmen and dispose of that other Nu Gundam?” Banagher asks as you check your systems.

You just lost your anti-beam cowl thanks to a barrage of beam assault rifle from the MP Nu Gundam who is now hiding behind cover. The two Geara Zulu Guard types are fighting two Jagans a piece but appear to be doing a good job of defending themselves.

However the MP Nu Gundam has evaded every shot you’ve thrown at it so far. You might need to change tactics against this enemy.

What do you wish to do Jake?
>>
>>29662376
"Sure. What's that thing capable of, anyway?"

Okay, we need to fight dirty against this thing. There's debris around, we can use it to our advantage - hide, use it as cover, and set up traps with our grenades.
If it's using the INCOM system, we could use the SENTINEL against it and turn those bits to work for us.
>>
>>29662376
It's evaded two shots. That's not that impressive. Though a +15 modifier is. Seriously, what have the Titans been doing with their increased resources? Is EVERYONE a Cyber-Newtype, now? And why do they have MP Nu Gundams? Shouldn't the Nu itself have never been built, if Zeta ended with the Titans winning? I'd expect something like the Hyzenthlay-Rah, but MP Nu doesn't really fit here. Clearly, there's more to this alternate continuity than is immediately apparent.

Anyway, enough of my bitching. Let's get into closer range. Remote weapons have never been that good against close targets. And we have a ridiculous super-sword. I wonder how it'll hold up against beam sabers? I mean, it would be designed to parry them anyway, having come from our universe, but a plasma field constrained by I-fields rather than magnetic fields would probably interact differently. We might be able to cut right through it.
>>
>>29662699
We have some anti-beam chaff and goo grenades on us. We could use the anti-beam grenades to allow us to move in closer, or glue the bits together for an easy shot.

As for the Hi-Nus, no idea. We could check in with the Treasure Star if they managed to find more info about what's going on in this timeline, as well as check in how much time we have before the next jump. Also, the moment we get some materials, we're making the Chimera Wear - Jake probably upgraded that thing in the last 25 years or so.
>>
>>29662828
Why don't we have the Chimera as standard equipment? It has pretty much no downsides to it. More weapons, better thrusters, and low enough weight that it doesn't impede our maneuverability. Was it just too Vagan in appearance for him to keep on at all times?
>>
>>29662828
Gluing the incoms together? Oh, that's a neat idea. I like that. We wouldn't even need to get the main unit, just hitting the placeholder incoms deployed along the wire's path would reduce their mobility a lot.
>>
>>29662896
Probably because we didn't expect any combat. Or because the Chimera Mk II would give us too much of an edge while racing Daiki drunk.
That thing is supposed to be on par with Flit's machine, and he beat Zeheart piloting the Ghirarga at Big Ring (sure Zeheart was wounded, but still).

(Considering the INCOM system is connected to the suit via wires and doesn't really utilized Psycommu units that wouldn't work, besides the SENTINEL system can only be used on A.I controlled units)

>>29662699
"I can take this thing. You go and do what you need to do!" You say, holstering your EM Super Crossbow. The MP Nu Gundam seems to be very good at long range combat, but now it's time to see how it fairs in a good old fashioned close quarters fight!

As the Red Unicorn and the Kyshatria fly off, you throw three of your Anti-Beam chaff grenades at the chunk of debris the Nu Gundam is hiding behind. The grenades explode and release a pink cloud of chaff that shout stop any beam attacks going in our out of the cloud. Drawing your Excalibuster you fly forward to get into melee range, hurrying to prevent the MP Nu Gundam from leaving the cloud.

However as you fly forward you manage to spot what look like small black disks with wires coming off of them flying out out of the chaff cloud. They're relatively small for MS weaponry, black, and difficult to see fading into the background of space. This must be the INCOM system Banagher warned you about.

Before you can wonder the technical details of the INCOM units they blast forward, flying off in different directions and leaving only their place holder units behind. As you continue forward, two beam shots fire off at you from different directions, one from below and another from your left.

>>

Yeah, but a spray of beam shots is covered by one roll. I guess it's because multi-angle attacks effectively count as multiple attackers.
>>

This. If we fought the fun funnel one we'd have to deal with six rolls. That one can also make the fun funnel barrier.

Imagine the Kshatriya with its 24 funnels. Jesus.
>>
>>29663706
We already have them. Dirk's shield bits are just fin funnels that sacrificed the beam guns for reflectors. We could make them easily enough when we get back. No, what I want are Minovsky-Ionesco fusion reactors. MI reactors use I-fields to contain the reaction. Ours don't do that, containing it presumably through some manner of inertial confinement. So if we combined the two technologies we could get a really high-performance power plant. Then we throw in stuff like M-particle beam weapons (which, being uncharged, would be unaffected by Vagan EM Armor) and we'd get some nice new tech from a single bit of salvage. The only thing that could be better would be getting a bit of psychoframe from the Red Unicorn. Like, if it's arm gets blown off and we take that while it fits a spare back at the ship.
>>
>>29663898
Well, we're helping the Queen of Zeon at the moment, maybe she'll throw in some tech if we prove useful enough and are able to stay in this timeline for more than one fight.
Though I doubt that Haman 2.0 will uphold her part of the deal after we help her find Laplace's box.
>>
>>29663898
FF barrier is a single pyramid shaped shield that surrounds the entire suit. I believe the shield funnels were just remote beam shields. The ff barrier also allows projectiles thought so you can use vulcans, bazookas and shit through it.

(There was a lot of issues with my rules in the past and to be honest there's a lot of issues with my rules now but I'm trying to fix that. It makes sense that firing with two guns or swinging with two swords would count as two attacks. The same goes for funnels, each funnel shot counts as a different attack and must be rolled for. As for area effect weapons and burst fire weapons, I'll work those out too. So if you see any inconsistencies in the rules compared to how they used to work, just be aware I'm trying to refine the rules and how I run this Quest in terms of combat. Each Generation has kind of given me a chance to explore different methods and ideas in terms of combat rules go. Some work, some REALLY don't.)

No, our beams shields were big enough to cover the whole suit when used together. The ability to fire through our shields would be nice, though. Maybe we could refine the field shaping abilities and link it to the X-transmitter so they automatically open holes when we fire to let the shots through. It would be easier if we had more funnels per unit area. Not practical for a mobile suit, but maybe a ship could benefit from it. It would be better than those beam shield prows that the ships in Victory had.

No problems, Crosswire. Experimentation is good. And hey, we're in intermission, so you've got plenty of time to sort things out before we go back to stuff that could affect the plot.
>>
>>29664035
The FF barrier is also considerably better performance-wise, though to be honest we have just recently begun developing those things.
The FF bits run longer, are less prone to overheating, and can be used for both defensive and offensive purposes.
>>
>>29663898
> psychoframe
Actually, that got me thinking. Isn't the psychoframe tech similar to our Grail tech?
>>
>>29664409
No, Grail is more similar to the NT-D found only in Unicorn models and the EXAM System found in Blue Destiny models.
>>
>>29664409
They're similar enough that we could get some synergy between them, but they're not the same. Psychoframe magnifies psychic abilities. Grail is, itself, psychic. Combining the two? Probably would be very dangerous.
>>
>>29664450
Right, the Grail is our anti-X-Rounder tech. And so far the only thing we have available that could help MaG avoid a memory wipe.
Makes you wonder what our Gen-3 machine would look like. Something between the Unicorn and the Merlin?

(I mean to be perfectly honest I've been thinking to giving the FATE System a shot. I mean it's better suited to narrative gameplay *which I like a lot* and the stats and such are so simple that they can be adapted to anything. Besides a lot of the mobile suit modification and such I've handled without hard stats because I never found a system that handled it well. So I think using a system that relies more on the narrative and less on hard stats might be useful. Besides I like the 'aspect' system)

>29 vs 23

Swinging your massive sword down at the MP Nu Gundam, it's barely able to throw up it's beam saber to block your blow, it's arm shacking violently as you press down harder and harder, your blade getting closer to the head of the MP Nu every passing moment.

Just as it's about to break away from your blade clash, you fire the thrusters along the edge of the Excalibuster and over whelm it's arm, smashing the Exalbuster through the top of the Nu Gundam's head, the thruster pushing the blade through the torso and down into the midsection before you cut them and pull back.

The MP Nu sparks and sputters before exploding, the force of which sends you backwards but leaves the Crusader otherwise unharmed.

Meanwhile the battle appears to be going favorably for the Sleeves, with the two Geara Zulu Guard Types having destroyed one Jegan a piece, and the Red Unicorn blasting holes through the Alexandria's hull, dodging in and out of it's AA fire.

Meanwhile the Kyshatria battles the MP Nu Gundam carrying the funnels, both mobile suits flying around at high speeds, dodging shots and sending swarms of beam firing funnels at one another, some targeting each others funnels and some targeting the suits themselves.

However there are still some enemies in the area that need to be dealt with. What do you wish to do Jake?
>>
>>29664795
I think the FATE system would actually work really well for quests. It's my plan for if I ever run one. Also, just saying, there's already a FATE game for running giant robots. Apotheosis Drive X, check it out, you'd scarcely need to make any new rules at all.
>>
>>29664795
Idea: Set a coordinate system to these maps. It would make it a lot easier for us to point out who we want to attack when we have multiple identical enemies. For example, saying "Attack the Jegan at point (17,11)" is a lot easier than saying "Attack the Jegan between us and the Kyshatria, the one sort of hanging out on one of the asteroids". Just seems like it would be faster.

That's my action choice, by the way. Shoot that Jegan with an AP Plasma bolt, then if it evades rush in for swording.
>>
>>29664795
Alright, one down, one more to go.

Let's take care of that Jegan nearby, regroup with that Geara Zulu and flank the remaining Titan grunts.

>JAKE CRITICAL SUCCESS

The Jegan fires at you, but misses completely and actually leaves itself wide open for a counter attack which you immediately take. The AP Plasma bolt pierces the Jegan's torso and causes the mobile suit to detonate in a fiery explosion.

However it's explosion is muted as the Alexandria's reactor goes critical from a direct hit from the Red Unicorn's Beam Magnum. The ship is blown in two and the explosion illuminates the entire battlefield for a brief instant, distracting the remaining Jegans long enough for the Geara Zulu's to take them down.

Even the remaining MP Nu Gundam is distracted by the destruction of it's flag ship, allowing the Kyshatria's funnels to land several direct hits, slicing it to pieces with a dozen precise beam shots.

The battle ends and things are quiet until you hear gentle sipping and the soft clatter of fine china. "Thank you for dealing with those mongrels Mr. Crocker, I can see you're a warrior as much as you are an inventor. I think it might be proper if you and your crew join me for dinner I believe we have a lot to discuss."

"What about finding the charter?" You ask.

"This place has become too dangerous. Reinforcements will be arriving shortly, besides I think with your skills we can locate the Charter much faster."

What do you wish to do Jake?
>>
>>29666108
We appreciate the offer, but we need to check in with our crew first. Besides, we're not dressed properly for meeting with royalty. While we're at the Treasure Star, we need Daiki to check our head in case she left something nasty with that mind reading. And find out as much as we can about this timeline.

>>29666031
Thanks for the upload, man. Appreciate it.
>>
>>29666108
Check in with the Treasure Star first. Both to get information on the repairs and make sure the Grand Wing is properly secured. I don't want Mineva trying to seize it so she can travel through time and alter the One Year War. Not that we'd particularly care, but switching the Treasure Star to time travel mode right now could get us stranded in this universe.
>>
>>29666351
Do we even have time for meeting with her? It's bad already that we can't predict when we'll jump, it'd be even worse if we get stranded here.
>>
>>29666538
She seems to think we'll be here long enough. Which either speaks to her precognition or her intent to keep us here. Still, best to return to the Treasure Star.

>>

Also, Mineva would have been conditioned by her early life experiences to trust men wearing masks covering the top half of their faces. So, that's something to keep in mind.
>>

"I'm not really dressed to meet royalty at the moment. Besides I need to check up on my crew first. I'll have them meet up with you and by then I should be able to come on board." You say, remembering that you smell like cheap booze.

"Very well. I hope to see you soon Mr. Crocker." Mineva drops off the comm and you return to your ship. After tell Sirius to join up with the Sleeves ship you check in on Daiki and how the repairs are going.

"Not good." He states firmly. "Even with the proper parts it'll take me weeks, maybe months to fix the control system."

"Shit, well is there any good news?" You ask.

"Yeah, Ma G thinks she'll be able to work out our home coordinates through some heavy duty calculations. If I can figure out where we're going to jump next, then I might be able to figure out a way for us to get home by dropping out of the Treasure Star's Travel field." Daiki explains.

"Really? How does that work?" You ask.

"Well when traveling to a dimensions the ship has to travel through, or rather 'over' nearby dimensions that surround it, kind of like how a train has to move through an area to get to a station on the other side of it. If we can leave the travel field at just the right moment we'll end up back in our own dimension."

"That's great!" You exclaim. "So what's the problem?"

"Well the problem is that the travel field is only up for an immensely brief time, not nearly enough to escape it at all, much less at a precise moment. There's a lot of issues with it, but me and Ma G are trying to work things out. How are things going on your end?" Daiki asks.

"Well I got my mind read by the Queen and I was invited over for dinner, I was wondering if you could try screening my mind for any kind of weird shit she left behind."

Daiki puts his hands on the side of your head, stares at you for a few minutes and then lets go. "I'm not really good at this stuff, but I couldn't detect anything, I'm pretty sure you're clear."

>continued
>>
>>29666851
Wait, if we're only in warp space for a brief time then what was with that Elder God we fed deodorant to? Was it the result of time dilation, or did we just have a collective hallucination about it as we've always suspected?
>>
>>29666895
We didn't leave our dimension for that, though.

If I got this right, we were moving only on the time axis that time (or the space one), while now we're moving on both.
>>
>>29666851
"So did you find anything useful about where we are Ma G?" You ask as you hop in the shower and try to get the smell of sweat and beer out of your skin and hair.

"Only a little. Close to 100 years ago the nations of Earth joined together to form a Federation and launched a mass space colonization program, changing the calender to the 'Universal Century'. This was both due to expand mankind's reach into the universe to search for resources and to elevate the burgeoning over population issues blighting the planet." Ma G explains.

"Over the next couple of decades space colonies grew larger, more advanced, and were capable of autonomy. However due to many factors the Earth Federation began to play a larger hand in colonial politics until those who lived in the colonies, dubbed 'spacenoids' had little to no control over local polices and laws. Eventually a man by the name of Zeon Zum Deikun began spreading ideals on how the space colonies or 'sides' should be independent from the Earth Federation's control and how mankind was destined to leave the planet and travel into space. He managed to establish a Republic based out of Side 3, but died under mysterious circumstances. His close friend and adviser, Degwin Sodo Zabi took over after that."

"What happened after that?" You ask.

>(Continued)
>>
>>29667396
"My information is limited, but a conflict broke out between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon lead by Degwin Zabi and his family. The Principality supposedly sought independence for all space colonies from the Earth Federation, however their government was essentially a dictatorship in many respects and they used unlawful weapons and tactics to try and weaken the Earth Federation. However at the same time the Earth Federation was interested in keeping the colonies under their control and had no intentions of letting them go unless forced too. The 'One Year War' ended with the Principality losing, but many remnants survived and continued fighting. Apparently a task force was formed to hunt them down, they were known as the "Titans". All information I've received after that is too conflicting to propose." Ma G states.

"Well it's better then nothing, thanks." You state as you continue to clean yourself up.

It's been a while since you've been to anything formal. Thankfully there's a lot of crap on the ship, including clothes. How do you want to dress for this occasion Jake?
>>
>>29667644
Suit, dress shirt, tie.

Done.
>>
>>29667644
With clothing that allows for concealment. The Vagan outfits we used at Second Moon should work. If we have low-profile ballistics armor I'd like to wear it under our clothes. We'll probably be searched for weapons, so none of those. But in whatever spare pockets we have we should bring activated carbon and emetics in case we suspect poison or drugging. And a relay for Ma G so that, if need be, she can try to hack and take over the Garencieres.

Anyone got any other things we should take along in case of treachery?
>>
>>29667644
I guess we don't have our formal captain uniform around here? Suit, shirt, tie, something nice if we don't.

>>29667817
A bulletproof vest, a relay for MaG, maybe something that'd allow the TS to listen in on our communications. I'd take a handgun with us, but they'll most likely search us for it. Something against poison, as well as an X-Rounder limiter in case Mineva decides to mess with our head again.

As soon as we board, we'll have MaG stealthy hack into their systems. For now, Mineva has the advantage and we need some leverage. Maybe even record Mineva speak, so she can duplicate her talking and basically throw the entire Zeon Remnants into disarray with a declaration of surrender.

We should also tell Daiki and the crew to be prepared for the worst in case we're taken hostage and they need to jump. Or even worse, blow the ship up.
>>
>>29667743
>>29667964
You do have your formal captain's uniform around here somewhere. You still are a captain, or was until you lost your ship. After the death and comatose of your kids you considered yourself out of the service, you only brought your uniform along to abuse the Treasure Star's very nice laundry room.

Still, it's better then going in a dirty engineering jumpsuit or the Vagan civvies you still have lying around the ship. You put on a light ballistic vest underneath your uniform and stow some means to test your food for poison up your sleeve. You don't bring a gun or anything that would endanger your deal with Queen Mineva, but you slip a relay device into your shoe so you can contact Ma G and have her record your conversations.

Considering Mineva read your mind she most likely knows about Ma G and having her hack the Sleeves ship would probably be a very, very bad idea. Still you tell the crew to be ready for anything as you leave the ship and walk the connecting bridge to the Sleeves ship.

You're greeted by two soldiers who pat you down for any weapons and escort you through the ship. You don't get to see the hanger or anything, you're instead taken to a small room that appears to have been converted to a dining room of sorts with a few wooden tables put together with clean white sheets and china set out of them.

At the end of the table is Queen Mineva, sitting down to her right is a young brown haired boy around her own age, wearing a red uniform and a white mask which gives you an odd sense of deja vu. To the young Queen's left is a young red haired women somewhere around 18 or 19. She seems oddly energetic and child like as she plays with her food with a bored expression.

You're shown to your seat at the end of the table and a well done stake is placed in front of you with a side of peas, mash potatos, and some fresh cut pears.

Numerous soldiers are in the room with you, leaning against the walls and watching you for any suspicious or threatening movements. The Queen sits on the end with her two guests, looking rather happy.

"I'm glad you decided to join us for dinner Mr. Crocker we have a lot to discuss. However I feel you have a lot of questions and suspicions that need answering, so please, feel free to ask thing you like while we're eating, though I'd prefer it not be something that would ruin my appetite..."

So Jake, what do you want to ask Queen Mineva?
>>

>So Jake, what do you want to ask Queen Mineva?
Why did that one pilot yell "PURUPURUPURUPURUPURU!?"
>>
>>29668863
"I have a few minor questions before we start. First, what is the proper form of address for royalty that you're not subject to? Is 'Your Highness' appropriate? This is my first time speaking to a Queen, I don't know how it's supposed to work. Secondly, how much information from your mind scan of me have you shared with your Royal Guard here? It would preferable if we could discuss this without worrying over what Banagher and...I'm afraid I didn't catch your name, miss...overhear."
>>
>>29668863
Alright, we need to be as polite and charming as possible. This >>29669031 works fine.

>>29668972
Let's keep that for when we're sure we won't be gassed, taken captive or something worse. Like shaven.
>>

"Was the Big Zam mass produced, and did it put an end to the federation in no time?"
>>
>>29669114
Oh sure, remind her of how her father(one of the few decent members of the Zabi clan) died. Real nice.
>>
>>29669140
Luckily Jake has no clue about that thing. Or anything besides what MaG told us.
>>

"Your Highness will work just fine. I'm pleased to see you're as polite as you are intelligent." Queen Mineva states as she takes a small bite of her food, dabbing her lips off before speaking. "As for what I learned, I've only shared it with my two closest guards here." Mineva states, gesturing to Banagher and the red haired women.

"Oh I'm Puru 12!" She says with a friendly wave. "But everyone here calls me Marida."

You try your best to take that as normal, but that's an unusual name. Could she be some kind of clone?

What do you want to ask Jake?
>>
>>29669547
"Are you some sort of clone? Are there more of you?"
>>
>>29669547
Introduce yourself properly, for starters. Say how it's an honor to meet her, though you wish it was under different circumstances. Pleasure to meet your two guards as well.
They seem oddly calm about meeting us given from where we come from. Then ask her if it wouldn't be a bother to her to fill us in on what's going on around here - we did some research, but it was probably not enough, and we don't want to be rude or anything.

>>29669680
Insane mind rapist queen first, cute energetic clones we might get for our kid as a "get well" gift later.
Besides, it's not such a weird name - Leviathan's commander was named Alan Recto, for God's sake.

But I want Purus now. We didn't get MP Nu Gundams, so we have to get as many Puru as we can before we jump.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Marida. Would that it were under less confusing circumstances. Likewise to yourself, Your Highness. Perhaps you could start by removing some of that confusion? >>29669997
As unusual as Puru 12 sounds, it's not too crazy all things considered. As much as you want to ask about the possibility of cloning, you remain polite.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Marida. Would that it were under less confusing circumstances. Likewise to yourself, Your Highness. Perhaps you could start by removing some of that confusion? My crew engaged in some investigation while we were occupied with the battle, and together with what you said earlier I have some basic understanding of the situation in this...continuity, shall we call it? But what is the current situation?”

"At the moment I am the leader, or at the very least, the figure head of Neo Zeon, also referred to as the Sleeves. We are made up of surviving remnants from the Principality of Zeon, the AEUG, and Haman and Char's Zeon Forces. Originally Neo Zeon was known as Axis Zeon because they lived and were based out of the giant asteroid fortress known as Axis where many remnants fled after the war ended. Haman later renamed her forces Neo Zeon shortly after the end of the Gryps Conflict. At the moment we’re using whatever we can find, make, or salvage in terms of ships, weapons, and equipment with very few safe production centers left available to us thanks the Titans. Overall we’re outnumbered and outgunned by the Titans who have vaster resources and more supporters then us.” Mineva takes a sip of water and continues.

>>
>>29670833

>>
>>29670868
It's not that bad. The AGE Builder can replicate itself. Why not give one to her? We don't care what happens to this universe, Vagans can't get here.
>>
>>29670857
Or we get Dirk having to fight clones of his friends. Also Kio clones, Kio clones everywhere.
Probably also the noble families losing control over that machine Arthur's stuck in.
>>
>>29670881
Because if we do trade it, we squeeze every drop out of it. Also, it might cause this universe to implode. Only AGE and EX-A have dimensional travel abilities, dunno how outside tech will effect other ones.
>>
>>29670833
"We've managed to survive by staying low and trying to make the Titans more worried about public appearances then our operations against them, the media at the moment, despite being heavily under their control, is their biggest weakness since they've had to work hard to keep their war crimes under wraps."

"I see. So these "Titans", what have they done to the Zeon colonies they've occupied?

“The colonies aren't Zeon in nature; they never were save for the ones at Side 3. Not that that matters when it comes to the Titans. All spacenoids are the same to them, any resistance, even peaceful or nonviolent resistance, and they retaliate with extreme force and prejudice. During the Gryps conflict they gassed numerous colonies and during the course of the Neo Zeon war with Haman they gassed even more, blaming it all on Neo Zeon. The Titans are essentially in charge of the Earth Federation. They may not say it out loud, but their own ‘task force’ is larger than the regular Earth Federation military and their leaders have almost complete political control. It’s no longer the Earth Federation we’re trying to free the colonies from, it’s the Titans. Before Spacenoids were treated like second class citizens but now they’re barely treated like human beings and companies like Anaheim have been allowed to abuse them as a cheap work force.”

"And what do you believe the original colonial charter contains that will let you gain the mandate to overthrow them when years of forced and presumably unjust occupation has not?" You ask.

"From what I've discovered the Universal Charter is an official legal document that was created in 0001 UC by the Earth Federation declaring all colonies had the right to independence and autonomy. However it was lost and forgotten after a terrorist attack destroyed the ceremony and killed everyone aboard the Laplace habitat. The Titans eventually came to justify their actions by claiming this was how it was meant to be, that the colonies were created to be property of the Earth Federation and anyone who sought to leave the Federation was a terrorist and an archaist that would only kill more innocents. However there is no legal documentation directly stating that the Earth Federation has the right to control the colonies. If the Universal Charter were to be revealed to the public it would make the Titans and the Earth Federation hypocrites. They would deny it of course, but the reveal would allow us to rally the colonies into fighting back and with the release of the other atrocities we've documented and discovered the Titans causing, their support will be hurt and we'll have a chance to crush them like they did us so many times over. Once the Titans are gone the Earth Federation will have very little to fight back with, and with the Universal Charter damning all their actions back to the One Year War they won't be able to take the moral high ground and will ether accept the colonies demands for independence, or go down in history as oppressive monsters. For all the Titan's power, the Charter is the one thing they are terrified of. Why else would they work so hard to prevent us from finding it?"

You're still a little fuzzy on the nature of some of the conflicts between the One Year War and now, but things are starting to make a little sense.

What else do you wish to ask?
>>
>>29671332
Thanks for filling us in. So do you have any ideas where this charter is, what does it look like, or if it even still exists?
>>
>>29671594
And the most important part is, where do we fit in with their search for that charter?
She does know we don't really have much time left here.
>>
>>29671332
"And yet, if it still exists, that implies that they someone aside from you and the Titans have a stake in this. If the Titans had it, and feared it's revelation so much, they would have destroyed it by now. And it can't just be lying in some ruin somewhere, you can't be the first group to have searched for something that important. At a guess, I'd say someone else found it and has been using it to extort concessions and political favors from the Federation. So who's the third party in this conflict?"
>>
>>29671825
Anaheim. We did pick up their commercials, and she did mention them specifically.
>>
>>29671951
Maybe. Or it's Vist, like in canon. Whatever the case, Jake doesn't know.
>>
>>29671594
"And yet, if it still exists, that implies that they someone aside from you and the Titans have a stake in this. At a guess, I'd say someone else found it and has been using it to extort concessions and political favors from the Federation. So who's the third party in this conflict?" You ask.

"That would be the Vist Foundation who now own Anaheim Electronics" Mineva states. "Banagher is from a family who was once in charge of the Vist Foundation. I met him about a year ago when the Vist Foundation actually agreed to hand the Charter over to us. However the Titans attacked killed everyone save for my men, me, and Banagher. Now the Vist Foundation is under new management and has no intention of letting the box go. However we have something that will lead us to it's location." Mineva says with a smile.

"What?" You ask, thoroughly confused.

"The Unicorn. Originally it was white, but it was broken and stained red with the blood of battle. Inside of it's systems lies a black box system with the location of 'Charter'. The Vist Foundation believes the Unicorn destroyed so there's no reason they would have risked moving it. However the Unicorn refuses to share it's secrets to us. That's why I want you and that A.I of yours to help extract the information for us. With it we can find the Charter and defeat the Titans. So what do you say Jake? Will you help free the colonies from the Titans tyranny?"

Well Jake?
>>
>>29671951
>>29671994
So it was both. Okay, then.
>>

>I'll try, but I won't make promises I can't keep. If a failsafe gets triggered on the Unicorn and wipes everything out...
>>
>>29672000
Well, the Treasure Star was a pirate ship at once point in its life. It would be fitting for it to go search for some buried treasure. We're in. But is Ma G? Let's call her up on our G-phone and put it in speaker mode. She's been listening in anyway, but still nice to let her talk to Mineva.
>>
>>29672071
Yeah, she is our partner in crime, after all. And she probably hacked all the systems on this ship because she was worrying about us.

Though we have no guarantee she'll keep her part of the deal. And even if she does, we need those repairs and parts fast.
>>
>>29672000
Hmm. Crosswire said that we would get data for the AGE Builder from our trips, but not directly. I wonder, then, if interacting with the NT-D will lead to some insights on managing berserk psychic control systems that will aid in constructing the Grail?

"That 'A.I' is named Ma g, or if that doesn't roll off the tongue well enough you can call her Mag. I'll need to talk to her before I make any decisions regard us." You say sipping your water and realizing you haven't touched your food. "Before I do, is Puru 12 a clone? Because that's not a normal thing where I come from."

"She is. That's not a normal thing here ether. The Puru's were made by Glemy Toto, a boy who was supposedly a clone of Gihren Zabi one of my family members who was killed during the One Year War. He helped Haman and stayed fiercely loyal to her because of the freedom she gave him in regards to his R&D projects. One of those projects was the creation of Newtypes clones." Mineva explains.

"We don't really think of ourselves as clones, at least I don't..." Marida says. "We're more like...sisters. And despite looking a lot alike we're more different compared to one another then you'd think."

"After Glemy's death and later Haman's I gave the choice to leave Neo Zeon or stay and fight. The ones that left took refuge in the Jupiter Sphere and work for a wealthy merchant by the name of Judah I believe. The Puru's in Neo Zeon stay and fight of their own free will, unlike the Titans's Cyber Newtypes." Mineva states.

"I see. So how many Puru's were made?" You ask, sipping your water.

"Around 500 or so..."

And at that moment you spit your water out in surprise.

(This is where i'll end things tonight. Sorry for starting late, my sleep schedule is fucked)
>>
>>29672374
That...is a lot of Puru. Well. I hope we haven't made some sort of faux pas by asking about it. At least with that many Purus around Jupiter it should ensure that Crossbone is a very different story in this universe.

Anyway, Crosswire, don't worry too much about the lateness. It's all fine and fun anyway. See you next time.
>>
>>29672374
> 500 Purus
That's a lot of Purus. And clone thing was a bit tactless, we should at least apologize when we have the chance.

Yeah I did.Sorry if the story is a little heavy handed or hard to understand at times. I understand my writing can be a little redundant and lacks flow at times especially with how I write fight scenes.

Still I hope you guys are having fun. Be warned though that Gen 3 is gonna get pretty dark especially when you guys get back...

But things have go to to shit before they can get better, and if things went right all the time that wouldn't be much of a conflict. Regardless of what happens you guys have a Gen 3 protagonist and he will be a Crocker.

I'll try not to rush things and take things a bit slower. I also may have a new system to try out the next time it's time for this game.
>>
>>29672586
Nah, don't worry. The story's fine, if a bit awkwardly paced at points. I am still bitter about losing Scarlet, though. Rysis better have a damn good reason why "Your daughter is now a cyborg" is something she couldn't tell Jake without tipping her hand to Arthur.
>>
>>29672586
Less Dark, More Puru.
>>
>>29672586
All I ask is that you let us retain the super robot feel that the start of canon Gen 3 had all the way through. That was just fun. For all that it's the flagship real robot genre series, Gundam gets really entertaining when you throw in super robot elements like transformation sequences or robot dinosaurs. And you can still do dark stories with the super robot genre, so it shouldn't be too hard. Just skim a stack of Ken Ishikawa manga and replace all references to "Getter Rays" with "X-Waves".
>>
>>29672586
>Gen 3 is gonna get pretty dark
Ugh, I understand the whole "War is hell" thing, but the whole Super Grimdark all the time is kind of annoying.
Like Gen 2 kind of got so dark, it went straight around to silly and felt like people were getting killed off just to get killed off.
Can we have Gen 2 be the super dark one, and then have Gen 3 be the "Everything turns around, onward to victory!" one? Like the ZZ to Gen 2's Z?
>>
>>29672527
Won't hurt to apologize. Especially if we're supposed to count on her being out there to help us.
And considering how we're apparently in the bizarro-UC, we'll need all the help we can get.

>>29672586
Don't worry about it. It's great fun as always.

>>29672637
You know, I expected Arthur to do something about Rysis sooner. After all, she's apparently the only one who has any ideas how to deal with him, they have established contact and so on. He should be hounding her relentlessly, instead of allowing her to patch Scarlet up, hang around their grand-grandchildren and all that.
>>
>>29672718
We don't know Rysis and Arthur are our ancestors. Probably, but... It could be another reason why Jake is so reminiscent of Arthur and Rysis considers us family. I'm not ruling out that it's all one big red herring.
>>
>>29672701
>>29672707
>>29672718
To be fair, the dark crap is going to happen technically in Gen 2 and Gen 3 will be a bit crap-sack and shitty but it can be turned around. So yeah I'll keep the Super Robot feel of the Gen 3 character and you guys don't lose your shit when the ending to Gen 2 (because technically it's not over that's after the adventure) gets fucked up. Deal?
>>
>>29672811
Like I said, as long as I get to judo-throw robot dinosaurs I'm fine with whatever twists you pull. I am a man of simple tastes.

More seriously, though, don't worry about it. We like what this quest does and where it's going. The fact that we're this involved in bad things happening to the characters is a good thing. We gripe, but it's out of love.
>>
>>29672849
>We like what this quest does and where it's going.
That's not true, and you shouldn't use all inclusive statements like that.
I like the quest, but I feel the overwhelmingly grimdark stuff really needs to be turned down, because it's heading straight for Grimderp like there's a sale on Space Marines.
It's also hard to get attached to shit when everything falls to shit no matter what you do, and all the characters randomly die because "dark."
>>
>>29672757
We have Uther back at Big Ring. If the guy didn't escape somehow after coming back from the dead, we can do a DNA test.
And with Jake deciding to explore who set up his daughter to be the commander and where the hell is Rysis, who knows what else we'll find out.

>>29672894
Honestly, there was no need for such a large death-toll back at Big Ring. Yes, shit is dark, but Jesus Christ.
Dirk lost basically everyone he knows in less then a week. He's going to be a mess.
>>
>>29672849
>>29672894

Awesome. I only worry because sometimes I do stupid things in terms of writing and I'd hate to ruin the fun and investment you guys have ruin by making a stupid decision on my part. Still, for all my worries this Quest is bigger then I ever imagined it would be and I'm proud I've made it this far. Well, I need to sleep now I'll see you guys Saturday, or Wednesday if you follow Digger Quest.
