You are Reinhold, master swordsman and victor of the Royal Swordsmanship Tournament. The King was so impressed with your skill, he personally requested that you be transferred out of the army and into the Royal Guard! Not bad for an orphan who was raised in a brothel in a poor fishing village.

The only issue at this point is your assignment... you've been charged to be the personal guard of the King's only daughter Marianne. While she is the vision of loveliness that you'd expect from a Princess, her personality is... well... she seems to have some issues.

After a bit more crying on Elena's part, Agnes practically dragged everyone into the mansion.

While she goes to hae some tea made and gets Andreas a change of clothing, you, Luciana, Marianne, Elena and Takamaru go to sit in the waiting room.

>Congratulations, you are now an unruly WOLF!
>Wolves are cool and powerful... and also rather dangerous.
>The Princess now considers you to be her friend!
>But while wolves are really cool, they still don't count as people.

Luciana takes the lead, with the rest of you following her into the waiting room. The second she makes it inside, Marianne quickly scurries off to a chair in the corner and pulling out the book she brought with her while Luciana takes a seat next to her. Takamaru simply stands by the window, and Elena... she plops down on a chair on the opposite side of the room from everyone else, looking exceptionally miserable.

Seeing as how you were kind of the impetus for said miserable mood, you take a seat next to her and droop down.

"Princess Elena... sorry about all of this," you say.
"No, it's my fault 'cuz I'm stupid..." Elena mumbles.
"No, I shouldn't have brought you all the way here just to say that you couldn't come along at the last minute," you sigh. "I didn't really think that through, I'm really sorry for getting your hopes up like that."
"I'm the stupid one for using Meteo Wing and flying off and almost getting Andreas hurt real bad... and now you're mad at Marianne 'cuz of me..."

After breathing a LONG sigh, Luciana pats Marianne on the arm before walking across the room and taking a seat on Elena's other side.

"You're gonna hit me again, right?" Elena mumbles as she turns towards her big sister. "'Cuz I'm a bad girl like Benedetta thinks I am..."
"Benedetta can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned," Luciana growls. "I don't know what she said to you, but there's no reason to EVER take her words to heart."

>[1/?]
>>
Oh come on, you already had a thread tonight.
>>
>>29598733

Realizing that the mention of their elder sister's set her off a bit, Luciana places a hand over her face and closes her eyes... after taking a few moments to calm down again, she turns back to Elena.

"I was actually wondering how in the world you were able to learn that spell," Luciana asks. "Andreas didn't teach it to you, did he?"
"No..." Elena replies, looking particularly guilty that she's been called out on yet ANOTHER thing that she's not supposed to have done. "I followed him after he went to visit his house one night... and then I saw him use that spell to get back to the castle."
"Y- you were sneaking out alone!?" Luciana shouts. "There's a limit to how many of Father's rules that you should break, Elena!"

"I know..." Elena sighs, her eyes starting to well up again. "He showed me some of his moves once but I was reading some records from that time he beat some bandits on the border of Ancellotta before he became my bodyguard and it mentioned some stuff that he -didn't- show me..."
"What, so you stalked him until you finally saw him use them?" Luciana asks. "And how did you even GET into the records room, much less figure out which ones pertained to him?"

"Papa says that you gotta know about the people around you," Elena says. "And Andreas is cool so I wanted to know what kind of stuff he could do..."

"Ugh..." Luciana sighs, placing a hand on her temples. "I let a lot of the things you do slide, but don't think that I'll hesitate to tell on you if I find out that you've been sneaking out unattended again."
"I know..." Elena says, drooping her head so far down that her red hair ends up touching the floor.

"I MEAN IT," Luciana growls. "You know about what happened to me in town that one day, right?"
"When those guys tried to get you?" Elena asks. "Yeah..."
"There's no telling what could have happened to me had Takamaru not been there. And I'd just die if I heard that you'd been kidnapped or worse because you decided that you wanted to play explorer..." Luciana says, wrapping an arm around her little sister.
"'Kay, I won't do it again," she sighs. "It was REALLY scary getting back home by myself, anyways."

"So you followed him and watched him use the spell... then what, you went to the library and looked it up?" Luciana asks.
"No, I remembered the words and then wrote them down," Elena replies. "It took me a while to get it right, too..."
"But your incantation wasn't the same as Andreas's."
"Yeah, that's 'cuz I changed it to make it red," Elena smiles weakly.

>[4/4]

"...uh, isn't that supposed to be like really hard?" you ask.
"Seriously..." Luciana says, turning to you. "Making a fireball spell blue or something is easy enough, but Elena changed the incantation itself."
"What, it's not too hard to change the words to fit the image in your head of what you want it to do," Elena says to you. "I made Meteo Wing red because my hair is red and it's my favorite color and I wanna be the red meteor..."
"I suggest you keep this from Father," Luciana says as she pulls Elena in for a tighter hug. "The sword thing is bad enough, but he'd probably have a bit if he knew about your casual alteration of magic spells."
"Huh? Why?"
"Because it's incredibly DANGEROUS, you dummy!"

As Luciana repeatedly flicks her little sister's forehead, you look over at Marianne... she's intently reading her book.

Though you're pretty sure you caught her glancing over at the three of you while you were talking...

Two very different circumstances and settings. Between being reasonable with more reasonable people and the problems in remembering, this is probably a decent time. You either do it when it's fresh, like now, or wait a LONG time.

Do we have any experience with children though? Especially children used to getting anything they want?
>>
-cont

>"You SAID that I could come along!" Elena shouts, her eyes welling up with tears.
>"Shut up Andreas HE SAID I COULD COME TOO, YOU HEARD HIM!" Elena shouts
Kids tend to think in terms of absolutes and it never occurs to her that she could make a compromise and still get what she wants. So when Elena doesn't get her way RIGHT NOW, she tramples right over Rein's compromise and goes for plan B: Guilt and Volume. When faced with denial kids will often throw a tantrum because a weak willed opponent might give in and let the kid have their way. If Reinhold had caved in at this point, those tears would have disappeared and Elena would be laughing internally.

Now we don't do this as adults because we know it doesn't work. And children STOP doing this when it stops working. So someone in Elena's life must be giving into her demands even when they know they should not. Oh look, Andreas way to be a pushover.

>"SHUT UP!" she screams. "I'm going back home to play with Inaba, at last she's nice to me and doesn't lie to me!"
When the screaming fit doesn't work kids will fall back on the one remaining tactic that gives them some semblance of victory: Spite. Commence angry yelling about how it's all everyone else's fault, everyone treats them like shit and they hate everyone. Then they stomp off to their room to be alone etc. We've all done this at some point in our childhoods. Now granted most kids don't sprout magic wings but the concept still applies.

The whole point of Elena running off is to make everyone feel like shit and blame each other for "leading her on" and denying her at the last minute. Even though it was her own selective memory and twisted logic that got her disappointed in the first place. And it worked! Any experienced parent (like say, Gregory) would just smirk and let this tantrum slide off of him like water. But would REINHOLD have seen this coming? Of course not, and that's what happened.
>>
>>29599005
Yeah me too, she'll probably be so impressed she'll forgive us immediately.
>>
>>29598986
It was still leading her on to tell Elena "for the ride" and then say no at the end. Sure, we never technically said she could stay, but her hopes were as high as they could be.

>>
>>29599010
Now archelon's writing seems to have slipped up a bit at the very end as Marianne suddenly gives us flak over the whole debacle. But actually, if Marianne didn't hear our specific words when we were talking to Elena (because she was in her bedroom at the time remember!), then it all makes perfect sense.

Marianne would assume that Elena being happy/being in the cart would mean we approve of her coming with us. And she wouldn't question any of this because she specifically delegated it onto us. So from her perspective it would seems a little cruel to cockblock Elena at the very end. And since Marianne has always been a bit of a bitch at times to basically everyone since the beginning of the quest, snapping at Reinhold is nothing out of character.

What was out of character was how we responded to the barb, given that we play Reasonable Reinhold 99% of the time. Not the fact that we DID respond, but the wording and tone definitely didn't match the persona we have been using. But I'll chalk that one up to a sleep deprived QM (and players).

Anyhow props to archelon for making all of this. Realistic characters are hard to do, and sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction.

wow, I have never had the displease of seeing such a disgusting pile of horse manure masquerading as an attempt to communicate in my life.

I have made my personal displeasure with the way the situation was handled quite clear, and I added the 'out of character' part because it WAS out of character.
Reinhold has been built up thus far as a 'nice guy' character with a sense of honor, at least when dealing with women. Stringing along Elena when her replies to his waffling were essentially 'yay I get to go' instead of correcting her and THEN after allowing her all the way to house telling her she can proceed no further did not fit Reinhold's way of dealing with things.

If you are trying to say that "Different people play at different times and as such Reinhold's personality will vary based on it", I understand and accept that. However, acting like that just showed a general lack of care from those who voted, both in their knowledge of the main character of a quest they participated in and to read up in the damn thread they were voting in to see that that option conflicted with the earlier vote.

Excommunicate anons? I don't believe this drivel.

Basically I think he's saying that people who voted a certain way don't understand the character.

>>29599158
This depends entirely on how you interpret the character. You see "nice guy with a sense of honor towards women," but you could also see "overprotective guy who tends to be passive." When he isn't defending his friends, Reinhold tends to just go with the flow, so in that interpretation Rein could've totally let the loli tag along.
>>
>>29599217
It could be used to explain his attitude, and this latest episode would make us that much more reluctant to say no to anyone.

That and Gregory would have killed us for turning down his daughter.
>>
>>29599164

She's obviously the MC of a teenage magical girl book. The asian kid will be her best friend/sidekick.

Also, anybody bother explaining to me how autosage works?

>>29599192
I think it's less the punishment itself than the fact that he is treading unknown waters and genuinely can't say no.

He's not cynical enough to change how he acts based on social status. He knows he should but has no idea what that entails, while at the same time being aware that too much formality would put a distance with what are currently his only friends.
>>
>>29599238
Ah. I skimmed (lightly...) and it just seemed like he was the kind of atypical /tg/ fedora men's rights poster who thinks women are meat to be sold on the market because he's an incel.

I still disagree and maintain he's using buzzwords to divert from his (rather base) language and poor analysis.
>>
>>29599243
Hit 300 posts (on /tg/) and the thread is no longer bumped to the top of the stack as thread #1 on page #1(#0).

>Dont understand the character

Nigger we MAKE the character. People can change too, people can get pissy even if they are saints most of the time goddamit you treat them like the characters are stagnant forever "I DID THIS THEREFORE I SHALL DO THE SAME FOR ALL THE SITUATIONS" fuck no, that's the stupidest way to play a character. Besides I enjoyed the drama, the whole "everything's perfect" doesnt add anything valuable to a story, conflict is the engine of every story and Reinhold doesnt have enough conflict, he's just there being pleasant and smiling, that gets boring so from time to time having this little implosions at Marianne or whoever acts like a bitch to him sounds great in my books.
>>
>>29599243
Autosage/Bump limit is a set number of replies a thread can get before it stops being pushed to the front page of a board and begins its unstoppable slide to the edge of the board and then falls off into the abyss.

If I remember right posts with images used to bump the thread anyway but I don't know about now.

>>
>>29599288

You seem agitated. Please calm down more.

To provide a counterpoint to your argument, it sounds like you were just getting bored with the slow pace of the story lately. I feel that there was plenty of stuff happening to worry about without throwing the character we've developed for a loop in behavior and attitude, and seeing a gradual change always strikes me as more realistic than a sudden snap.

If you're bored, don't make the character change, find something in character that is interesting.

Doing the cake thing has precedent, perfectly in character, fits in if we think of it as a reaction to emotional stress, fun for the whole family, brings people together, tastes delicious, allows for fun reactions, and we haven't had cake in the longest time and no one's mentioned cake before last thread in like over fifty threads.

Might as well go over and apologize before things get really bad.

With a sigh, you get up from your seat and walk across the room, sitting down where Luciana just was.

"...and what do -you- want?" Marianne asks, not even bothering to look up from her book.
"Ugh..." you mumble, "...I'm sorry I let things get out of control like that," you say. "I said that she could only come along for the ride, but I probably should've known better to get her hopes up like that."
"Yes, you really should have," she replies with a side glance. "I don't know -why- you didn't realize that your actions would result in a tantrum... but I suppose you're not familiar with dealing with small children," she says as she pulls out a bookmark to save her page. "As long as you don't do the same thing again..."

Just then, Agnes hobbles into the room with Andreas behind her holding a kettle and several cups on a plate.

"I actually skipped breakfast," Luciana says. "Andreas, if you could pour me a cup?"

"You're always so helpful, Andreas..." Agnes says, smiling.
"You went and lent me these clothes, so this is the least I could do," Andreas replies with an embarrassed smile.
"He's helped you before?" Marianne asks, having walked over to where Andreas is pouring the tea.

Namely that a wolf is more independent, not a pet, and will snap at you if you throw pebbles at them.

Do wolves work different in this setting or something?

It's because some people wanted something, they had their hopes built up that this would involve an actual talk with Marianne about how she treats us sometimes, instead we mumble out an apology, never bring it up, and she doesn't admit any wrong doing and just says not to do it again.

There's a big difference between these two things.

"Uh, would you mind telling me about when you were younger?" you ask.
"Ooh, yeah!" Elena exclaims. "More stories!"
"Er- I didn't mean to imply that you're-"
"That I'm old?" Agnes asks. "That's as plain as day, as much as I hate it..."

"You're not -that- old," Elena says, puffing out her cheeks. "Papa's like twice as old as you, isn't he?"
"Elena, you really need to stop talking about that..." Luciana grumbles.

Once Andreas is done handing everyone their cups of tea (Takamaru refuses, naturally), Agnes takes a seat and smiles nostalgically.

"So you want to hear about my glory days, eh?" Agnes says. "Well... when I was a little girl, our family used to have a sword school, and I'd sneak off and watch my father as he'd teach the students even though he really didn't want me to."
"Sounds a lot like a certain -someone-..." Luciana says, glaring at Elena.
"He wanted me to take up magic since that's more acceptable for girls, but I am absolutely HORRIBLE at it," she sighs. "I can Conceptualize just fine, but the slightest distraction would mess me up entirely... after a while, my father just kind of gave up and so I was allowed to practice formally."

"So even though it's seen as improper for a lady such as myself to do such things, I threw myself into a life of swordsmanship... won all kinds of tournaments, and even embarrassed pretty much everyone who thought that it would be funny to call me out just because I'm a woman," Agnes says, reminiscing about the past.

"I think I was maybe twenty years old when I started getting loveletters," Agnes laughs. "My father was sure that I'd never attract a man, but the fellow who kept sending them eventually built up the courage to meet me in person, and then we hit it off and got married maybe a year later," she smiles. "Those were the days..."

"My husband wanted lots of kids, but I stopped after having just one because I pregnancy interfered with my dueling..." she sighs. "Really should have listened to him looking back on it. Maybe then I wouldn't be so alone right now- oh, but I suppose that's not something that I have to worry about anymore!" Agnes laughs.
"Being apart from one's family is... difficult," Takamaru nods. "I am happy that you were able to find Reinhold and his sister."

"So am I," Agnes sighs. "It was hard having to bury nearly everyone who I've ever cared about... I suppose that folks like Celestino have the right idea having as many kids as they can."
"A large family has its drawbacks," Luciana says. "The more children you have, the higher the chances that some of them will turn out to be terrible people..."
"Problems with the children from your father's first wife?"
"Something like that... sorry for bringing it up though, I didn't mean to sour the mood," Luciana says as she takes a sip of tea.
"Eh, we all need to vent sometimes," Agnes laughs. "I used to do so in the arena, taking out life's frustrations on my opponents..."

Yeah, you know how that is...

"I also duelled Guillaume Arnaud at one point," Agnes says with a nostalgic smile. "He was long retired even then, but old Celestino wanted to test the skill of his kingdom's best duelists against his best friend."
"How'd that turn out?" you ask, eager to know how she held up against that monster.
"You fought Uncle Guillaume!?" Elena gasps. "ohmygodthatsamazing!"

"How did it turn out?" Agnes repeats. "I was -destroyed-," she laughs.
"...oh," you reply.

"And then Gregory went on to be one of the most feared men in Granache..." Agnes laughs. "Life really is funny, I remember when he was just a snot-nosed brat pretending to be adventurers with Volker, and just look at him now. And Lisette's actually the Queen... if their parents were still around to see them now, I have no idea how they'd react!"

Agnes then goes on for a fair while longer about her various tournament wins, the death of her children, her difficulties raising Volker... and also the time when Arnaud destroyed the fighting spirit of Monique's father.

Elena REALLY liked that story.

Even Marianne enjoys the old widow's various tales of her life, but eventually the time comes for you to head back.

"Would you like to take our carriage back?" Luciana asks. "There's plenty of room..."
"I have my own, you know," Agnes replies. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you, after all."
"Oh, you mean the return trip?" Luciana asks. "Don't worry about that, I don't mind getting you back here at all!"

"Yes, is that an issue?" Luciana asks. "It's 10:30 right now, but I thought it a good idea for us to get there as early as possible in order to avoid the crowd... Uncle Gregory also said that he'd be waiting for us."
"Yeah, we need to head back to the castle first," he says, turning to Elena. "You still haven't given your mother her morning greeting, right?"

And then Elena's face goes pale.

"ohcrapohrapohcrap..." Elena mumbles. "Mama's gonna kill me..."

"Luciana, could you maybe stop by the castle first?" Elena pleads.
"I don't know, we're on a bit of a tight schedule here..." Luciana replies.

Mumbling something under his breath, Andreas unceremoniously picks Elena up.

After making sure that they've safely flown off, the rest of you make your way back to the waiting carriage (and of course you walk Agnes down the path like a good grandson). She insists that the others get in first, but you make a point to be last in so that you can help her into the carriage yourself.

"Hm..." you say as you take her hand, "...you haven't happened to have heard anything from Adrien, have you?" you ask.
"Not since the funeral," Agnes says, sighing. "I'm sure he's off doing his thing, though... and with any luck, he's taken care of the bastards who killed Volker."
"That would be nice," you say as you hep her up and then enter the carriage yourself.

It looks like Luciana decided not to try and press against you during the return trip, as she, Marianne and Takamaru are all sitting on one side of the carriage, leaving a space for you and Agnes to sit together on the opposite side.

"Don't worry, Reinhold!" Luciana says, smiling at you. "I'm sure you'll win!"

"Well... he was using a rapier when we fought at the tournament, but I kind of broke that," you sigh. "I think he's using a saber now, so I'm not sure if his style's changed along with his sword."
"I see," Agnes says, nodding. "That is something of concern."

"Hyouka Zanmai," Takamaru nods. "I believe that is what I saw, yes."

"Hmm..." Agnes mumbles. "...according to standard dueling rules, Script Conceptualization and Invocation aren't allowed so I don't think you'll have to worry about that one at least," she nods.
"You are familiar with that attack?" Takamaru asks.
"I think I remember hearing about it a long time ago, something to do with snow flowers?" she shrugs. "But it requires a magic spell to use, and you can't actually cast anything in a duel so that's out of the question."

"What -are- the rules for those, anyways?" Marianne asks. "Sword duels, I mean."
"I'm surprised that you're actually taking interest," Luciana giggles. "What, you're getting excited too?"
"No, I just don't want to erroneously think that Monique Gilbeault is cheating if he does something strange."
"The rules..." Agnes begins, "...no Script anything, like I already said... sword-type weapons only, no knives or polearms or anything of that nature... enchanted weapons are allowed as long as they're only used for attacks like say, a Flamberge, with the exception of Lightning-element spells which are banned outright..."

"Wow, you still have all that stuff memorized?" you ask, turning to your grandmother.
"What can I say, I'm still a duelist at heart!" Agnes laughs.

After landing a few blocks away from the castle, Andreas escorts Elena back home so that she can greet her mother before the duel... he's honestly kind of annoyed that she didn't bother to do that, but it's not up to him to remind her of every little thing that SHE KNOWS SHE'S SUPPOSED TO DO EACH MORNING OR RISK CORPORAL PUNISHMENT.

Besides, it would do her some good to actually get in trouble every once in a while for all the crap she pulls.

"'kay, I got Inaba!" Elena says, scurrying out of her room with her pet bunny in tow. "C'mon, let's hurry!"
"You seriously should have done this first thing in the morning," Andreas says, sighing. "But whatever, the Queen should be in the dining hall at this hour... and why exactly did you decide to bring your rabbit with you?"
"Inaba's gotta say hi to Mama too!" Elena replies curtly.

Taking care not to run out of fear of tripping and hurting her bunny, Elena hurries through the hallways of the castle and down a flight of stairs, Andreas in close pursuit.

"Gottahurryyyyy..." Elena mumbles to herself as she goes as fast as she can... and then skids to a halt.
"Princess!" Andreas says as he pulls her back JUST before she runs into the person in front of her.

Why did the apology to Marianne go over so easily? At this point we are going to remain in a static relationship with her- She'll never see us as a person if we can't get upset no matter what happens. That's too bad, I was hoping the former shitstorm would turn into actual character development (for example, some further insight as to why Marianne just WATCHES SHIT HAPPEN without doing anything, even for a friend).

Friends get into fights. They may or may not make up right after, but it generally has some kind of consequence. This was ultimately inconsequential besides giving Marianne more ammo to jab at Reinhold with useless and pretty demeaning comments like:

>"You can say that again," Marianne mutters under her breath.

Seriously are you guys masochists?

>>29601387
Oh man are we going to see more of the asshole siblings?

"Whoa, are you okay?" an unfamiliar guy with blue hair says, nearly backing into the people behind him. "...didn't see you there..."
"I'm fine, thanks," Elena replies, doing an odd bow with her bunny still in her arms.
"Sorry for not paying attention, I'm in kind of a rush..." he mumbles.
"Yes, we're on the way to the arena right now, since we'd like to beat the traffic," a tall man with short black hair and clothing similar to Takamaru's says as he emerges from behind the blue-haired guy, motioning for the woman and little girl behind him to wait.

"Ah, so you guys are fans?" Andreas asks.
"This guy's brother's actually the one who initiated the duel," the Eastern man says with a deep chuckle.
"C- c'mon, I don't want to advertise that..." the blue-haired guy mumbles.
"Wait, so you're Monique's-"
"Matthias Gilbeault, nice to meet you," he mumbles.

"And judging from the red hair, I take it that you're one of Celestino's kids?" the man asks.
"Yeah, I'm Elena Camellia di Marconetti," Elena replies. "And this is Inaba," she says, holding up her bunny.
"Inaba... ah, Celestino's interest extends to our animals as well!" he laughs. "I'm Sadaharu, the king of the tiiiiiiiny kingdom of Kinsen!"

"P- pleased to meet you!" Andreas stammers as he does stiff bow. "My name is Andreas Sternennacht, knight of the Kingdom of Marconetti!"
"Eh, no need to be so formal," Sadaharu laughs. "And these two hiding back here are..."
"I'm Akemi," the REALLY pretty lady says, leaning on her husband's shoulder. "Nice to meet you, little princess."
"I'm Masaharu," a pretty girl with long silver hair says with a deep bow.

"So yeah, we're on our way to cheer Monique on," Sadaharu says. "If you wanted, you can hitch a ride to the arena in our carriage..."
"Umm..." Masaharu says, "...My mother says that Mr. Monique is really strong so we wanted to get good seats to watch him win..."
"That won't be necessary," Andreas replies. "We were actually on our way to go and say hello to the Queen."
"Yeah, and REINHOLD'S the one who's gonna win," Elena says her voice filled with confidence. "He even beat Mr. Takamaru, and he's like the second-best swordie in the whole kingdom!"

"Uh-uh, It's gonna be Reinhold!" Elena shouts, shaking her head violently. "HE'S strong and cool, not that weirdo!"
"Who're you calling a weirdo!?"

"C'mon, Princess..." Andreas says, sighing.
"Heh, it looks like we have a fight on our hands!" Sadaharu laughs.
"It's been a while since I've seen him get so worked up..."
"Uh, shouldn't we stop this?" Matthias asks.
"Nah, let 'em shout it out!" Sadaharu replies, slapping Matthias on the back.

"Monique's the weirdo!" Elena shouts. "He even interrupted Papa's announcement to be crazy!"

"Don't act like you're better than me just because you're prettier than I am! I know lotsa stuff 'cuz I'm Papa's daughter and he's really smart too!"

"And I'm gonna laugh at YOU when Reinhold's the one who wins!" Elena shouts, sticking her tongue out at Masaharu.

As they finally make it inside, Elena breathes a sigh of relief when she sees that her mother is in fact still there, holding Chiara while she talks with a maid.

SAFE!

"Hi, Mama!" Elena chirps as she scurries over to her mother, a beaming smile on her face.
"Good morning, Your Majesty," Andreas says, bowing to his Queen.
"Oh, Elena. Andreas," Lisette turns to her daughter. "Good morning."
"Inaba says hi too!" she says, holding up the bunny.
"...and good morning to you too," Lisette says with a chuckle.
"EREUAAAAAAA!!!!" Chiara shouts, trying to squirm from her mother's grip.

Elena knows what this means. Quickly handing Inaba to Andreas to hold, she spins back to face her mother just in time for her to place Chiara in the ground...

...and then the baby races towards her big sister, both hands curled up into fists.

"EREAAAAAA!!!!" Chiara shouts, raising her hands in the air in an atempt to do a double punch...
"Foolish baby, you cannot defeat me!" Elena laughs as she catches both of the baby's hands before she can swing them down, holding her in place. "And now..."

Elena then tosses the baby in the air, catching her by the waist and immediately commencing TICKLE ATTACK!

It's perfect, right? They argue all throughout their encounters as kids, then some time passes before the next meeting and they know they have to meet each other as teens.

Both of them dreading it because they each remember the other as being bratty, or annoying, or mean, etc. Then that first meeting is all "Wait, that's them..? But they're so.."

Followed by them arguing yet again, this time to hide the obvious attraction.
>>
>>29602008
I doubt Rein would freak over it. He'd be understandably upset, but unless Monique ripped it out of his hands and deliberately broke it over his knee he wouldn't take it personally. Swords break sometimes, even if this one happens to be freakishly durable for some reason.
>>
>>29602011
