Last thread we saw Isaac short out an Ardat-Yakshi's brain, literally butt heads with Jack, and instill fear into the hearts of chaos adherents everywhere as the unstoppable artificer, Brother Clarke.Old thread >>29567205

Brother Clarke, Creed and Cain were once on the same planetno xeno or demon has been there since
I wounder if the Person who started painting this finished.
I'm just imagining that everywhere Brother Clarke goes he's followed by a group of Inquisitors trying to find heresy and a cadre of groupie techpriests revering the dirt he walks on.
>>29589586>group of InquistorsNah, sometimes there's one that latches on to him but most learn that there's no reason to do so within a couple of months because there's nary a shred to be found.>groupie techpriestsThat mental image is beyond description... I love it.
I heard that Brother Clarke once cut his way out of a Void Kraken using a plasma cutter made from a pipe, a couple screws, a bit of wiring and a mostly depleted battery

scouting has revealed that Orks often worship Brother Clarke
>>29590379It's been hypothesized that Brother Clarke employs the same inexplicable method of weapons assembly that Orkz do, in that even though the weapon should not work, it does. This is not the case, however. Every one of his inventions technically makes perfect sense to any tech-priest who gives them proper examination.Orkz on the other hand have not figured this out, and believe him to be some kind of "Humie Ork" with how he creates amazing things from scrap.
>>29590138>Highschool of the Dead SpaceI am surprisingly okay with this.
>>29590503To clarify, DNA analysis has concluded that Brother Clarke is not, in fact, a "half-ork" (as that is impossible for numerous reasons) or anything other than a human.

>>29590773The higher echelons of the Adeptus Mechanicus privately theorizes, given his apparent comprehension of the inner-workings of human technology outstripping even their own, that Brother Issac may even be the reincarnation of a human engineer from before the Horus Heresy; from the Golden Age of Humanity. He may have retained some spark of brilliance from the original creators of most of the forgotten lore of human achievement. This he possibly is, whether through some freak cosmological accident or simply a jackpot in the genetic lottery they cannot know.It is the best explanation they have currently.
>>29590737We Are talking about Carver, the guy your coop partner played in DS3.I suppose he could be some kind of Guardsmen, probably someone from an elite unit from the regiments Isaac served in as a Engineseer before his promotion to Magos Explorator and he met him again later during some kind of warp disaster.
>>29590751>>29590755Carver hasn't displayed significant knowledge of tech in DS3. He's a soldier.What did you think I meant?
>>29591150thought you were talking about Isaac. Then I realized we're talking bout Carver. Now I feel stupid
>>29591101I would think that if Guardsman Carver and Brother Clarke could be compared at all, it would be in their unnatural luck. Both have survived numerous situations when they really, REALLY should not have. They became friends at one point and keep in contact frequently.

>>29588472>continued from above.Unfamiliarity; that's what the whole of the Citadel reeked of. It was on the edge of his vision, the utter alien-ness of it, even excepting the various strange xenomporhic creatures loping, sauntering and otherwise locomoting themselves all over the station. It hadn't been hard to slip out after the ruckus. If he had gotten good at one thing during his life, it was staying in the shadows. He needed time to think, even if he had no money for booze, and no clothes, save those handed off to him from the ship's crew. Anywhere was preferable to there. He kept his head low, the promenade, as the Commander had called it, was too open for his tastes. Years of cramped space vessels and mines; he was used to the closed, stale smell air gets when it's being ventilated just enough to avoid killing people. It didn't take him long to find his way to the lower reaches. He had spent some of his time looking at how the Citadel was manufactured. His RIG was still horribly damaged; he needed parts, but his NavMax and stasis modules were at least salvageable. Shepard either didn't notice him take them, or didn't mind. Either way, he was at least moderately on his own, a feeling he didn't particularly mind. As organized blocks of the Citadels direct underbelly gradually gave way to the disorganized mess that marks the desire of function over form, he felt himself breathe a bit easier. Sterility may be safer, but here he could think, breathe and do some kind of formulation as to his next move. Or he would be able to if not for the sinking suspicion that someone, something was lurking the shadows behind him.
>>29592959He knew this feeling, the prickling skin, the huffing breath as paranoia set in and the shadows shifted around him. It wasn't the pulse in his head, lying to him. It was something, someone there. Whoever, whatever it was; it was about to be in for a very, very bad day."What do you mean he left?""W-well, he said...he was going to make," the Asari doctor glanced away. She wasn't used to clients being attacked, not here, anyway. "He said he was going to make sure you two didn't hurt eachother."Jack was caught between a chuckle and a sigh, she wasn't particularly in the mood to see the bastard's face again, especially with the heavy, coppery smell of blood still in her nose."Jack, get Thane. Meet me at the Presidium Commons in fifteen minutes.""We're looking for that psychopath?""That 'psychopath' completely rewired the docking mechanism for the Normandy in less than 2 hours. If he gets into the wrong hands, he could divulge entire chunks of the ships design. Get. Thane."Cursing under her breath, Jack ran off."Tali, Jack's headed back to the ship to grab Thane. Who else do we have already on the Citadel?""Garrus is at the Purgatory Bar, I believe. He mentioned something about some old friends of his.""Great. can you patch me through?""No; he shut off his comms, except for the emergency paging system.""Of course." Shepard was already out the door, mind racing, "Page him, send him my location; keep it updated. I'm gonna an extra hand, in case our friend Mr. Clarke gets himself into trouble."
>>29592959>>29592988
>>29592988The thing about space stations is, you can never really make one completely livable; not without a lot of work or expense. It's always a bit off. Access tunnels and hatches are always very blatant, to keep people from missing them. By the time whatever it was that was following him got the guts up to round the corner into the blind alley, he had already jimmied the access panel, and slipped inside. His muscles burned from the exertion; he was still weak from spending so much time away from this sort of life. Still, he waited. The rough silhouette was human, but glistening highlights made it look wet-skinned, almost oily. A heavy stench of burnt, unwashed flesh kicked his nostrils, even from here. Somehow, some way, he knew this smell. In his head he saw visions of screaming monsters, of chattering teeth and gnashing claws. He waited. It has spotted the glinting light of his NavMax. It was useless without calibration, the projection merely flickering uselessly. A perfect distraction. The creature neared where he had placed it, head cocked.
>>29593097He waited until it bent down to swing his full weight into flinging himself at it. It stumbled over, on all fours, trying to skitter back. He wasn't in the mood to give in a chance. A brilliant flash of light filled the alleyway, accompanied with a loud crack, an instant before he brought the sharp corner of the access hatch cover into the creature's head. It toppled over, black ichor pattering in wild patterns, as something it held clattered to the ground. He brought one leg up, hard, pushing it headfirst into the wall. It let out a low, pained moan, and uttered something in a deep, guttural language, before leaping to it's feet with inhuman agility. It drove a handful of sharp claws into Isaac's chest, gouging out chunks of flesh and sending him toppling over. It stood over him, again chattering in it's incomprehensibly, red, starburst eyes seemingly glowing in the low light. Pain blossomed in his chest and leg. Something had hit him there, the same something that was now painfully digging it's hard metal and plastic body into his ribcage. His mind reeled, raced, as the pain was pushed aside. He had been in worse. Hadn't he?At least now he had a chance. The creature crouched to lift the access hatch, again chattering as it regarded the edge of the metal. It didn't notice Isaac reach around his chest, and desperately feel for the handle of whatever was digging into him.His fingers found the warm muzzle of a barrel, then a slide, then finally a handle. Before him, the creature raised the hatch cover, intent on returning the injury it had, tenfold.Isaac wasn't in the mood to humor it.

"I'll pull my contacts from C-SEC; see if they saw him anywhere." Garrus sounded concerned, but confident, as usual, "There's nowhere in the Citadel for him to go where we can't find him.""Until he hijacks another ship, anyway. Faster we get this done the better.""Yes, Commander.""I will access my own contacts aboard the Citadel, as well, Commander." "Excellent, Thane; between the two of you, I'm sure he won't be getting far.""I shall meet you in short order; your location is close to my nearest contact in the city.""Great, scrap meeting on the Promenade, then. Send over his location and I'll be there waiting.""That would be ill-advised, Shepard.""This whole entire wild goose chase is 'ill-advised,' croaker. Commander, I'm heading back out. this guy's dangerous, I don't care what you thin, and the more backup you have the better."Shepard paused. she didn't want Jack there, in case she went berserk again, but for all of her piss and vinegar attitude, the biotic was right."Fine. No killing. You immobilize him long enough for me to talk him down, nothing else. Got it?""Fine by me, don't go complaining if he goes apeshit and tries stabbing you in the eye or something.""You'll be the last to hear it."
>>29593941The creature wasn't anywhere as terrifying now. A handful of puncture holes in it's chest oozed black slime, and it's eyes were wide, crossed in an almost comical manner. It didn't have much, being nearly stark naked save for a small belt and what appeared to be a wrist computer. And the pistol it had died from. He was bleeding, not severely, but enough that it, combined with the pain were letting the edges of panic set into his mind again. He strapped the computer on, vainly testing the buttons and functions. He knew small devices like this always had a way to reset to a configuration mode, his only hope is that he's be able to understand the default language. Eventually he found it; a small pinhole on the near side. thankfully, the creature had been carrying some kind of syringe set with it, and it barealy, witha bit of wiggling, fit into the hole. The slow, assuring hum of the device suggesting it was, at least, doing something, before it engulfed his hands in an orange hologram.
All of the writefags in all of these threads, you guys are fucking great, and just keep making my day better.
>>29594024An array of glyphs appeared projected before him, some looked almost readable, and others made his head swim, until a small hunk of text finally scrolled into visibility; "English." He pawed at the text carefully, and the device again sprung into life, casting it's amber glow across the alley."Welcome, and thank you for your purchase of the Sirta Foundation Bluewure Level 1 Omni Tool. If you are familiar with the operation of this device, please select 'Start Working' now. If you are a new user, or are unsure as to how to operate this device, please press 'Set Up'." The cheerful, obviously fake voice took him aback. At least it was helpful; but he had no clue how to close the damn screen now that he opened it. His hand passed carefully through the "Set Up" text, and the device again sprung to life. "Please input your query."Isaac though for a moment, the pain clouding his head. His eye felt like it was host to a bundle of burning hot needles now, and the pain was mixing and undulating with the dull ache of his leg and the sharp pain of his chest."Medical Assistance.""The Bluewire Level 1 Omni Tool is designed with ease of use in mind..."

>>29594233Ah, yes, 'Good Batarians'. The morally-upright individuals allegedly not being assholes. We have dismissed that claim.
>>29594421You can do that in ME3, yes, but I don't think a Level 1 Omni-Tool that's probably meant for civilians would have that kind of feature.
>>29594336Nah.>Red starburst eyes>Nearly stark naked save for a small belt>Claws>Rough silhouette was human>Deep, guttural languageGotta be Vorcha.>>29594421In 3, yeah. I'm not sure if that was possible with pre-3 omnitools or if the appearance of Husks just made the function popular.
>>29594460This is isaac were talking about here
>>29594421You can, it was introduced in 3 as a thing the omni tool could always do but was never used before because most enemies tended to not get any closer than pistol range. The reapers and their heavy use of husk zerg rushes made omni tool users get reacquainted with the feature real fucking quick.
>>29594305The only thing that ever gave him trouble in the game was a lack of ammo. Now he has an omnitool. Which can, among other things, shoot explosive jamming EMP mines and turn into a sword. He can fix his navigator thing, and probably just power the stasis module with the tool as well.
>>29594497Imagine what's gonna happen when he figures out how omni-tools work.Oh man dis gunna be guuuuuuud.
someone needs to edit that comic strip where ultron loses his shit and claims that pym is a god in his lab
>>29594490True, but there's a difference between jury-rigging a piece of sharp metal to be supercharged with electricity by the omni-tool as some sort of slasher version of a stun baton and just using a feature built into the aforementioned omni-tool.
Come to think of it, isn't there a Krogan shotgun that's supposed to shoot spikes?
>>29594563Yeah, the Graal Spikethrower. I was a Vanguard, I really liked it
>>29594558Im sure he can program settings to change the omni tools shape like it does normally to more "useful" things
>>29594607*Translator's note: Useful means "whatever this batshit insane engineer thinks will best paste his enemies"
>>29589572
Guys, you do know the Omni tool is a 3d-printer on steroids, right? The most common melee design is the "omni-blade," a disposable silicon-carbide weapon flash-forged by the tool's mini-fabricator. The transparent, nearly diamond-hard blade is created and suspended in a mass effect field safely away from the user's skin. Warning lights illuminate the field so the searing-hot blade only burns what it is intended to: the opponent.

the only laws Isaac Clarke breaks are the laws of physics
>>29595069No, it's just that new laws of physics aren't being written fast enough to keep up with him.
>>29594049Shepard stared down at the dessicated corpse before them. It had been 10 hours since they had last seen Isaac, and now there was a dead body at their feet, and his blood on the ground."Wanted by C-SEC for robbery, assault, and manslaughter charges, it seems.""At the very least he's done the Citadel a favor." She had been on the wrong side of two many Vorcha packs to have much sympathy for them, especially with a rap sheet as long as this one's.Thane was crouched next to the creature; he was surprisingly expert at medical feilds of study, given his line of work. Shepard corrected that thought; given his line of study, ti would be more surprising if he -wasn't.-"Several wounds to the chest, as well as a fractured skull. It appears Mr Clarke is more competent than he first made clear.""He wasn't armed. Where'd he get a gun with no credits?""Crazyboy probably stole it from someone, I'm guessing.""Or," Garrus interrupted, squatting down next to Thane, "He took it from the victim.""He stole a gun from an armed Vorcha, then killed him with it? Yeah, right." Jack nodded at the body, "I'll believe that when I see a Volus skinny-dipping."
>>29595466"Empty holster, as well as several unused thermal clips." Thane gingerly touched the holster in question."And two used ones" Garrus noted, grimly, "Judging by the wounds, the thermal clip's size, and by the size of the holster, it wasn't a small gun.""Well, he's bleeding, now. With this much blood, he isn't going far. Let's just follow the trail and-oh shit." Jack kicked a small container, it bounced agaist the alley's wall and rested next to the corpse's head, "Never fuckin' mind.""He still doesn't have any ID, so he's not getting off the Citadel on official channels. Garrus, have C-SEC put a silent alert out for him, same with your contacts, Thane. We'll have to follow the lead with this Vorcha as far as we can take it. Maybe someone else out there has a price on his head.""If he has the balls to pull this kinda shit, maybe you were right about keeping him around.""What's that supposed to mean?""Well, I mean, shit, if he can take out a Vorcha unarmed, no biotics, no equipment; the guys probably pretty good in a fight.""Or he's lucky." Shepard muttered, nodding to the C-SEC officer waiting for them, "If he keeps this up, it's bound to run out.""Luck doesn't make you better at handling recoil."
>>29595489>oops. fixed a thing.Whatever this tech was, it was ingenious. Lightweight, portable, and full of enough features that he could probably spend the next month learning it's ins and outs. He knew enough for now, though. He had managed to link into whatever served as a Internet service after a bit of trial and error, and he was scanning through anything to give him a hint as to what the hell was going on. None of the technology around him made any sense, and for someone like him, that stuck him worse than the creature that shot him. It seemed to have some kind of translation software, he ended up having to ask someone else how to get it to work, their broken English managed to help him get it at least somewhat configured. In the remaining hours, he had also taken the time to look up and the ship, Normandy, as he sat in the bowels of the Citadel. Midway through an article on the Normandy, the device in his hand suddenly moved about, lights blinking in some kind of warning. He tried clearing the screen, but it instead brought a voice booming from it."You idiot! I told you to be back on the job site in 3 hours! Where the hell are you?!"He frantically tried clearing the screen again; this time it worked. The noise might have attracted attention, he furtively glanced about before getting up and breaking into an even stride.Whatever the case was, he needed answers; and staying here was worthless. Somewhere down here, someone would have a need for a engineer that wouldn't ask too many questions, he'd start there.

>>29600042How about something about a rather green guardsmen being disturbed by Brother Clarke's insistence on stomping all his kills into a greasy paste?
>>29600094It was just so incredibly awesome. The word went out before him on a breeze carrying our salvation. Here at last is a man with the mind of a general, the heart of a poet but also with the hands of a builder. He will lift us from the earth. They were Cadians. Born and bred on the most militarized world outside Holy Terra, trained since birth to stand firm against the forces of Chaos spewing out from the Eye of Terror. Any who did not develop a mind sharp as a power sword and a soul of adamantium did not survive their 10'th birthday. So why did they feel so queasy when this enormous man, venerated up, down, sideways and diagonally across the Imperium as the greatest of men utterly destroyed his enemies? They had heard of the Angry Marines of course. Even those who only thought of the Adeptus Astartes as the mythical Angels of Death sent by the Emperor himself knew about The Yellow Men.Sightings were inevitable and the legends that sprung between the regiments in transit equally so. They spoke of giants that fought with ordinary objects wrapped in power fields, wielding the Emperor's fury as their own as they tore their enemies into bloody chunks.Yet even all those tales, all those legends of limitless hate did nothing to prepare the men of the 437'th Cadian for Brother Clarke. He had come alone, not in drop pod but in a single Thunderhawk of a pattern that even the stationed Tech Priests did not recognize. But his form was unmistakable, for only Brother Clarke glowed akin to having an inner fire. All Astartes had glowing eye slits of course, they however tended to be either red or green depending on the preference of that particular chapter.Brother Clarke however glowed teal and not simply from his eyes. There were additional lights upon his back that glowed like a beacon of hope, but it was the additional lines on his faceplate that when seen just so appeared to be a grinning face.
>>29600367It was this glowing smile that made Guardsman Herts break out in a cold sweat that no followers of the Great Enemy had ever caused."Lord Clarke" He called out, hesitantly with a lump in his throat that seemed to grow as that glowing smile turned to regard him. "Are you certain that this is necessary?"Guardsman Herts did not have a habit of questioning any that were above him, as a proper Guardsman should. But he could not hold his tongue when he saw the works of Brother Clarke. Indeed he could not question him tearing the Enemy apart limb to limb, but it was how he ground each and every one under his ceramite boots with heavy steps that could not have been anything but deliberate that worried him."It is necessary, Guardsman." Came the measured tones of Brother Clarke. His voice was slightly tinny as all voices sent through a sealed helmet system was, but Herts thought he had never heard one come so clearly as this one. "We must be certain that they will never return to destroy the lives of Man."Herts swallowed the lump in his throat with some difficulty and could only nod as he and the rest of his men tried not to look behind them. For there was a field of countless dead trailing Brother Clarke. It did not matter if they were felled by his unique arms or their own, for he methodically stomped them all until the ground was awash with vile fluids and bone. No, Herts thought. These would never harm anybody again, but perhaps he should try to stay on the other side of the field of battle from Brother Clarke if he ever joined them again.
>>29600479>>29600367I love you

>>29600588I could your brain some more to work on, would you like that big boy?
>>29600600I just can't get enough of imagining Isaac as some kind of unstoppable juggernaut. He's already canonically a genius guided by providence as Tiedemann put it, but I enjoy ramping things up a little
>>29600676How about pitting him against some nameless orc warboss, followed by the recently deceased warboss being stomped real good in front of his remaining troops? If you don't mind writing combat
>>29600725Oh and the POV should be some random orc who is watching the fight instead of shooting guardsman or something
"Your actions are useless Clarke, you will never reach the chamber in time!" The Chaos Lord Hadnes called through the intercom in the smoothest, most seductive voice he could. At first he had laughed at a single man, Astartes or not, assaulting his impenetrable fortress filled with the blessings of the Dark Gods. Two days later and more than three quarters of his entire force dead, he was forced to reconsider. "What do you mean he's unstoppable?!" He roared at his attendant snivelling at the base of his throne. "He is but a single man! You have weapons blessed by the Dark Gods! Access to the denizens of the Warp!" Veins bugled sickly on his pale face in ways that was more suited for someone in the service of Khorne than Slaanesh. "YOU OUTNUMBER HIM A THOUSAND TO ONE!" He screamed, unable to comprehend how this could ever happen."My lord!" The man squealed. "His weapons make a mockery of cover and armor alike! Anything we throw at him glances off like he was the False Emperor himse-"The cultist got no further before the barbed whip of the Chaos Lord tore his head from his body. As the body slumped over and small warpspawn eagerly rushed forward to lap up the blood, Hadnes stood up from his throne. It appeared he would have to deal with this one himself.
So there I am looking at the alien gizmo that's been creating all these zombies, and I got two questions running through my head.First off, how am I gonna tell Pyro that he missed the chance to fight off an army of flesh eating zombies?More important, when I take this thing apart for schematics, how can I integrate the zombie functionality into my dispenser?
>>29600741I'll try and give it some thought, things don't always come the way I want them to
>>29600881I'm kinda doubtful that Engie would be able move along fast enough to deal with the dead space style zombies.Plus I'm doubtful he'd get separated from Pyro. >>29600888No pressure, just giving ideas. Also chrome's spell check is being especially shit right now
>>29600911I think I have some ideas. It's just considerably easier to write it from Isaac's perspective since I was never really into orks that much
>>29600911If he can get a dispenser up Pyro can defend them more than long enough for him to set up a proper engi nest. Hell give him his meet the team abilities and Engineer could survive comfortably until Isaac and the Kellion show up.
>>29600957I get your concern, you think orks are pretty simple but that shit is deceptive.Plus the accent is hell to type.>>29600980Not sure what pyro's setup should be though for max efficiency. Maybe that space flamethrower so he can get easier crits.
Have all the threads been archived? I want to catch up and read them? Linkk anyone?
>>29600911He makes up for that with sheer durability. We're talking about a guy who can shrug off a shotgun blast to the chest.Mentally he would be affected by the marker, but in entirely unintended ways.>Isaac wants to destroy the marker>Engi wants to see if he can rebuild it into a shotgun that uses dead bodies as ammunition
>>29601335>not rebuilding it into a dispenser that dispenses necromorphs.
>>29601007It was that time again. No not that time, it was THAT time again. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" He shouted, echoed by hundreds of thousands of other boyz as they charged forward to meet the 'umies in glorious fightin'. With his shoota in one hand and his choppa in the other he and the others surged forward like a wave of glorious green to meet the 'umies. They also wore green, Lockjaw reflected as he chopped one and dakkad another enough to blow him apart like a fountain of red, but they weren't orky enough! However that was when HE joined.Huge he was! Massive like a Nob and almost orky even though he wasn't green! His plate was shiny and very glowy with all kinds of shiny bits! Lockjaw and many other orks couldn't help but stop and admire this 'umie's dakka even though it wasn't really that loud. Many orks couldn't resist and some even brained each other in their haste to fight this 'uge 'un even as he decapitated boyz with that weird gun of his.Eventually though, might as always made right as the Warboss Headbasha made his way forward to roar a challenge against the other Warboss. The challenge was answered in less than a dakka as the other one pulled out a huge, flashy choppa and charged Warboss Headbasha! Many an ork fell to the flashy pews of the 'umies as their eyes were glued to the battle of the two warbosses, but it was just so beyootiful!Eventually though and to Lockjaw's wonder the flashy warboss used his dakka and his choppa to chop the legs off of Warboss Headbasha! Headbasha roared and tried to kill the flashy Warboss with his dakka, but then he got stomped. Lockjaw had never in his entire life seen anyone get stomped as bad as Headbasha was at this very moment. Neither had the 'umies apparently since they couldn't either resist to stop and watch Warboss Flasha stomp Headbasha until he was nothing but an orky smear on the ground. This, Lockjaw decided as the glowy face of Warboss Flasha turned to look right at him, was the orky way to go
>>29601371>The orky way to gooh you fucker. you made me laugh.
>>29601342That's on his to-do list, but for now he's using it as a gun while he figures out how the darn thing works. He don't know much about zombies, but he knows gun.
>>29601397The constant changing of names was deliberate as I tried to reflect how orks really don't think the way humans do. This is the first time I've ever written something like this, so I hope it's alright
>>29601371>clarke is an honorary ork nowthis is god damn hilarious.
>>29601435He's the biggest and the baddest, so obviously he must be Warboss. Right?
>>29601435His first thought on seeing dakka is 'how can I make it choppy?'His first thought on seeing not-dakka is 'how can I make it dakka?'This thought process isn't unusual for an ork, but even the biggest of meks can't compete with Isaac in execution.
>>29601482Considering Isaac's regular armaments, I'm pretty sure he's a master of both the choppy and the dakka. That aside, I have some idea of another one but from the perspective of Isaac during a two-way battle
Has anyone created a 1d4chan entry yet for Brother Clarke?
>>29601696Probably should just create a page for Isaac Clarke Is Awesome and then include the various content that people've writefagged (Dead Space x Mass Effect and WH40k Brother Clarke) along with links to the archived threads. Maybe include the different character sheets that've been made up so far as well.
>>29601482He's pretty Krumpy to.
>>29601769That sound so legit, the Emperor woke up just to sanction it>>29601828He is the krumpiest!

I still call that he's a Techmarine, not a Magos. Because we keep calling him Brother Clarke instead of Magos Clarke.

>>29602790Does the Gray Knights have techmarines? Don't care, he's one now.All hail Brother Clarke, Savior of Man.
>>29601007If pyro knows that the gravity is out in parts of the ship he'll take one with an airblast, efficiency be damned. He'll probably then pester the engineer to disable the grav plating in the rest of the ship
>>29602790It doesn't matter what we choose to call him the simple truth is that Clarke is unable to be classified some say he is a space marine, a grey knight even to explain his combat prowess and unnatural immunity to the corrupting forces of chaos others say that only a Magos of the highest rank would be able to perform the technological miracles he frequently displaysin the end nobody is sure and none of the organizations he gets associated with dares to deny this for the off chance of him actually being a long lost member of them.
Have we appealed to the drawthread yet?
Hey guys, IsaacvShepard coloring guy, ill be finishing up shepards side of the pic in just a sec but first I'd like some opinions.I was thinking of running a Dark Heresy deadspace kind of game, because the aiming/specific limb damage mechanic seemed to gell nicely. I've only ever seen the Roll Play Dark Heresy play-through of it.So would it work for a Dead Space mechanic wise?
>>29603958From what I know (and i dont know anything from any specific thing that i can quote I just collect tibits of knowledge) limbs taking like 1/4 the bodies total health usually severs them. So probably. Also if you do this you better record this for all of the elegan/tg/entalmen to listen to later.
>>29603958I suppose it would be possible to implement a system for possible limb removal and penalties associated with that, given that you can already aim at specific body parts.
>>29603958Seriously though. Do you want to go heavy on the dead space or do you want it to be a semi even blend? Like do you want to use the dark heresy to run dead space or a dead space in dark heresy kind of game?
Also posting w something from my favorite lets playhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usr7yeCJM08&feature=youtu.be
>>29604176Heavy on the Dead Space
>>29604196You are also going to want something that will allow you to salvage ships and jury rig things. Might have to dip into ork rules to get things like that or pull them from another system. I have a few ideas for a game set in dead space if you would like them as well, i kinda thought of running something similar myself one day once i actually get my life settled and finally man up enough to GM something.
>>29604225I'll show you mine if you show me yours
>>29604241Nah dont worry bout showing me your I will give you my ideas for no cost. Just make sure that you start up a thread and tell everyone about it if it pans out.
>>29604271Basically i had an idea for a large salvage/escape module. Basically all the players start on a prison ship that shockpointed into a massive battlefield on its way to a military base to stock up and drop off some prisoners, only to find a massive ship graveyard in which your ship collides and inevitably stalls in. Gimme a minute so i can type more.
>>29604271For sure, I'll try recording it too, my webcam is ok quality too. But my one friend is super paranoid about any sort of recording of him, hes rarely caught on camera because he'll raise alot of shit about it.
>>29600843>>29601371Brother Clarke once heard of a Skiitari Warrior by the name of Weller. The warrior went down in a blaze of glory taking with him hundred of Tyranids. Now Clarke has a new disciple. It's Weller's son. A aspiring Techpriest.
>>29604324Alright well i just noticed my error they didnt mean to shockpoint to a battlefield but thats pretty much what happens. Once the ship is pretty much totaled its up to the players to figure out whats going on. You dont have to tell them about the dead space part of this. All they know is that if the want to survive in this ship graveyard then they need to repair the ship or find a new way to get out of there. The players can be a mix of prisoners and military if they can find a way to make it work. The battlefield is about a week old with survivng members of the previous crews trying to either call for backup/ destroy the 'enemy faction' or just plain escape. They could do anything from this setting its pretty much a sandbox from there.
>>29604377And well obviously there is a marker mixed up in all this. :D
>>29604365Paging Magos Clarke. Warp anomalies detected in engine room.
>>29604414Brother Magos Clarke here. I'm on my way.
>>29604393I created this to be very bare bones so that a person could fill in the blanks very easily. the military obviously wants to get ahold of the marker along with the unitologists. Your group can screw them over or even hand the artifact over to either of the groups for parts and such. military is obviously trying to call for reinfocements and they have the better gear. unitologists will be more numerous and will have a lot of spare ship parts since they were fighting a losing battle against the military till the necros showed up.
>>29604477Feel free to ask for anything you want me to expound upon.
>>29604447Once Brother Clarke took part in a space battle against a Tyranid Hive Fleet. The Fleet was destroyed because Clarke shot himself out at one of the main synapse ships and blew it up.Using the opening, the Imperial Navy flew in and made short work of the Tyranids.
>>29602790>I still call that he's a Techmarine, not a Magos. The way I think it works is since Clarke has so many stories of his amazing feats that people often get their information muddled. Most everyone knows his aptitude for forbidden tech lore, and so people often mistake him for a Tech Marine given his impressive resume. But I like to think he isn't a Space Marine. Just a very, very competent, genuinely tech-savvy, lucky, and paranoid tech-priest. It's honestly hard to picture someone like that if you live in the Imperium. Normally you'd think of tech-priests as those stuffy guys in the red robes who let the guardsman do all the dying while they sit in their massive Titans (or another kind of forgotten tech) and wreak havoc in relative safety. Not Clarke. He's something different, since he has done so much in the way of personal combat that it's understandable to think of him as a huge guy in power armor. Otherwise he'd most likely be very dead by now.But nope. Just a tech-priest. And is it really so uncommon for people to refer to priests as "brother"? Monks are often referred to in such a way.
>>29605174It entirely depends on the picture you're basing it on. That picture up there? That's Aegis armor, which is given to the Gray Knights and the Gray Knights alone
>>29605174Some say he's a Magos. Some say he's a Master of the Forge from some Marine Chapter...>>29605251...and some even thing that he's a Grey Knight. The truth however, is that Brother Clarke is a Magos with little cybernetics. And that scenario alone is Terrifying for the Priests of Mars.
>>29605281But all know that the Orks believe in him equal to that of a certain Commissar Yarrick.Reason: He's the stompiest
>>29605281Exactly. As stated here >>29591085, they really don't have any explanation other than him being some Golden Age human reincarnated into the Dark Age. It is the only way they can justify what he does and how he can so easily comprehend lost and forbidden technology without being corrupted by Chaos. Numerous attempts to identify Chaos corruption by the Inquisition have shown up negative for Brother Clarke. The only reason they haven't killed him for insubordination to the Omnissiah is because the Machine Spirit seems infinitely pleased with him, as it has never once, to their knowledge, disobeyed Clarke.
>>29605338He's the stompiest because of his paranoia. Even though there is no danger of it happening, he consistently stomps his dead enemies into bloody chunks for fear of them getting up again.
>>29605338>>29605339>>29605407Once Brother Clarke met face to face with a Warpsmith and his daemonic creations. The madman set them loose on the Magos, but Clarke used his stasis field and froze the abominations in space and time.He then lift a enormous steel rod and hurled it under such a position, that it screwed through all of them. When the Warpsmith saw what Brother Clarke did, he used his Kai Gun to slay him.Clarke was faster and fired from his servo-mounted Force Gun, knocking the heretek to the ground. Before the corrupt Astartes could react, Clarke stomped him with the boot of his R.I.G. armor so hard, that the Warpsmiths power armor cracked and crunched. And that's how Brother Clarke proved that Chaos and technology is a bad combination.
>>29605445Once Brother Clarke fought side by side with the Angry Marines against a Iron Warrior's Warband. When they got to the fortress of the Chaos Marines, the Angry Marines did what Angry Marines were best at. And none was better at blowing up enemies than the Angry Marines did.The fortress was impenetrable however, and the defenders simply mocked, laughed and made silly faces to the eternally angry Astartes.Clarke seeing their rage found a solution. He manufactured hundreds of cables and took all the marines' helmets. He attached cables to them and in turn attached the other ends to his Force Gun.He gave the helmets back and told the Angry Marines to get angrier. So ANGRY, that they would feel like exploding any minute. The heretics looked at this and laughed at the Imperials. And Angry Marines did what they did. With all the anger generated, Brother Clarke shot his Force Gun.The fortress was no more.
>>29605445Does anything like the stasis field exist in WH40k?I suppose it wouldn't even matter if it did, because the Adeptus Mechanicus gets to decide what technology get mass-produced for use by the Imperium. They might be wary of incorporating anything Brother Clarke had invented himself as it would no-doubt set the precedent towards incorporating aLL his inventions, making Clarke the most powerful and influential tech-priest in recorded history.
>>29605652There is the stasis grenade. And then there is the stasis lock that holds Rowboat Guilliman from dying.
>>29605652Once Brother Clarke fought the Tau on a Imperial World. He met face to face with a Riptide.Said Riptide was frozen and then had its joints cut.
>>29605652They definitely have SOME kind of stasis technology, but it's not nearly as common and widespread as it is in Dead Space
>>29605741Many men, creatures and things dismember their opponents, often horribly and viciously. Many even occasionally stomp them.In the case of Brother Clarke? His capacity to do both is so apparent that his swath of destruction can be identified almost immediately. The most you will ever identify as a "head" will be the miscellaneous teeth strewn about. A chunk of brain matter here and there, or even the occasional cornea if you squint. And when one sees Brother Clarke's handiwork, one typically stands, aghast, and morbidly fascinated by the sheer cleanliness of the bloodied edges of each bisected ligament. For when a Space Marine uses their chainsaw weapon, it dismembers, but it is a very rough and imprecise cut. It leaves the hems of the vivisected flesh looking almost ripped and torn from their previous host.In the case of Brother Clarke's enemies, no armor, flesh, bone or muscle of any kind could dull the clean (in a manner of speaking) cut that his inventions create. As if each limb were put to an adamantine garrote, they appear almost as if they could be reattached with none worse for wear if Brother Clarke allowed it to happen before total blood loss occurred. The stomping, however, makes this improbable.
>>29605924Once Brother Clarke fought Tyranids in a zero gravity room. The entire fight was bloody and hilarious.
>>29605924Some have speculated that Brother Clarke once found the STC for creating power weapons and uses it to great effect. There have been many attempts by the Mechanicus to prove this, including interrogations and searches but to date, no evidence has been found. There is a steadily increasing belief that Brother clarke is just that good that he figured it out on his own. Nobody knows for sure except for the fact that his weapons strike with the force of the Emperor's Wrath yet with the precision of a laser scalpel.
>>29605924I hope he wipes his feet
>>29606036Of course he does. Brother Clarke is no barbarian.
>>29606036That's why he's got them power boots, self-sterilizing
>>29605632Did he just weaponized the Angry Marines' anger?
>>29606236He can weaponize anything. Anger? You got it.A microwave? Oh yeah!
>>29606294Now I really fear what would happen if he ever weaponized the Mary Sue status of Captain Sicarius...horrifying.
>>29606326An exterminatus-grade weapon without equal. Attached to a ship, it would be so lethal that entire Tyranid Hive Fleets would avoid it by entire sectors.
>>29606356Some in the Imperium would be either pleased or clearly afraid.
>>29606326What if he found a way to reverse-engineer Captain Titus' plot armour?
>>29606450Astartes Partinax level of stubbornness and durability. The Obstinate Marines would be three times this.
>>29606450A SHITSTORM WITHOUT EQUAL! He would be invincible! To go up against him would be like facing down a pony in your undies! This doesn't sound dangerous except for the fact that the pony is 300 feet tall and covered in chainsaws! And to get up there you'd have to take an elevator with fifteen live cougars!AND THEN the Angry Marines battle barge Litany of Litany's Litany would crash into it because someone told them that you were Heresy!
>>29606519At this point he can weaponize/reverse-engineer everything. Even non-technological stuff.
>>29606519Brother Clarke could do it.Your fatal mistake was leaving his undies on.
>>29606630You misunderstand, you are the one with only your undies. And it is Brother Clarke that you face with this power.CR 25
>>29606698Well, I guess I'm 100$ fucked.
>>29606710Damn.Why you charging Clarke so much.
>>29606740Don't worry. His savings are enough to buy the whole Calixis Sector, The Jericho Reach, and the claimed parts of The Koronus Expanse.
>>29606740We must all learn from the lessons of Tiedemann The Agressor. To face down the likes of Brother Clarke is insanity itself. It matters not how many that stand with you or the amount of solid cover between you. Be it a Titan or an entire asteroid. He will find you and he will kill you.
>>29606777>To face down the likes of Brother Clarke is to face insanity itself.ftfy
>>29606845Ah, yeah. Thank you.My enthusiasm overcame my sense of grammar there for a moment
>>29606920When Brother Clarke is on the warpath, enemies of the Imperium weep and hide in horror.
>>29606777In short Clarke is Commissar Yarrick as a tech-priest
>>29607011Clarke joins Yarrick and Hellbrecht...AWESOME ENSUE.
>>29606996The moment you even THINK you can take him you have already lost. It happens that sometimes there are those that speculate that perhaps Brother Clarke is the fifth God of Chaos; Chaos that wages war on Chaos.Any who mention such things are executed on the spot. This is because all know if Brother Clarke ever became aware that such speculations existed, not even the Emperor on Terra could save them.
>>29607039They all play poker together.
>>29607087Or he teaches them the art of stomping.
Known in some circles as simply 'The Factor', besides his immense strength in battle, Brother Clarke is infamous for his peerless ability to build. Few have ever visited his personal inner sanctum, but those who have has returned with eyes wide and filled with wonder.Tech-priests invited to this most hallowed of places have been dumbstruck for days before finally being capable of communication. They have spoken of endless rows of foundries, presses and micro-manufactoriums. A symphony of metal directed by the masterful will of Brother Clarke, capable of producing even the most advanced weapons and armor on a whim.To date, no tech-priest no matter the rank has ever expressed any wish to have this wonderous factory to themselves. Instead they have cited that every single square millimeter is in itself a praise to the Omnissiah and all vow to defend it to the death and beyond.
>>29607491Now I imagine how awesome that must be. It must be a personal Forge World.
>>29607741Like an Army of One, he alone directs his Steel Symphony upon his Adamantium Orchesta. No one knows how he does this. Countless speculations exist of hyper-advanced neural interfaces while others counter this with that the neural backlash would be far too much for one man to handle. Thus came the theory of the Eternal Circuit of countless Machine Spirits that are as one with Brother Clarke and sing him the Metal Melody of Creation.
>>29607920There must be a Titan there. Or a entire Legion, awaiting their pilots.
>>29608024Titans of all classes, arranged into perfect rows. Baneblades, each part master crafted sit on adamanium treads waiting the war to guide them. Thousands of suits of Tactical Dreadnought Armor, carefully arranged to be fitted within a moments notice and much, much more exist within the hallowed storage halls of Brother Clarke.Lesser minds scoff at this. How could this one man have access to wonderous techno-magic to which the STCs have long since been lost? But those who can see the greater picture know the truth. They know that Brother Clarke is favored by the Omnissiah like no other, and has given him a glimpse of the Master Plan.
>>29608127He must have a armory of every single weapon in the Imperium.Even Legio Cybernetica and Ordo Reductor tech.
>>29608282Necrons sometimes stop by and ask him for advice on how to fix things.
>>29608345Unless he is interested in seeing how they work...
>>29608398Oh, he already knows. Brother Clarke is the only person in the known galaxy capable of stopping Necrons from phasing out, making him the singlemost dangerous foe in the eyes of all Necron Lords. This however also means that he has already studied them to his heart's content and those who do stop by do so knowing that if they try anything, they will never leave.
>>29608514They must've gifted him some artifacts of theirs to him...and if helped them, then he knows how to make Tesserac Vaults more powerful in keeping C'Tan.
>>29608803Imagine if they let him have access to the Golden Throne...Repairing it could either be extremely good, or extremely bad for the Imperium, depending on what you believe will happen if the Emperor dies.
>>29609000That's one hell of a question that needs to be asked.
>>29608803They fear him almost as much as they fear the C'Tan, yet at the same time they respect him. For he does not abuse his power, and he is an enemy of Chaos unlike any other. For this many wish to call him heretic, but no one does because they fear what he might do to them.
>>29609076Don't forget that he defeated someone of equal capabilities to him. It was the Heretek Mercer, who pledged himself to Chaos.
>>29609213>Heretek Mercer
>>29609213Ahh, of course! What a fool I am!The heretek Mercer, former Magos Biologus who sold his soul to Nurgle in return for heretical power and knowledge. He almost had Brother Clarke pegged with his undying minion, but in the end the Omnissiah was on Clarke's side.
>>29609361Yet that battle was grueling and forced Brother Clarke to use all of his skill and knowledge to defeat the Heretek Mercer.Even when Mercer fused with his creations into one horrid abomination with him at the core, it didn't stop Clarke to unleash the fury of a thousand Forge Worlds upon him.He ended with his servos ripped out, his armor heavily damaged and with serious wounds, but Clarke slew the monster that the former Magos Biologus became.
All done.If you look very closely at the microwave you can see the words fuck you hacked into the microwave timer

>>29610365It would be interesting to see what has happened to them.
>>29610365If they actually made a DS4 we'd know how they plan to stop the moons... but nope. EA just cannot comprehend why people didn't like DS3. It never crossed their minds that adding co-op would make the game less scary.Fucking idiots.

>>29610611What hurts the most is I saw this coming. Immediately after I beat DS2, I realized the only other course of action, both within the game universe and for Visceral to go, was open war with Unitology. I foresaw third person shooter elements, I foresaw cover mechanics. I didn't predict universal ammo or fucking cash-shop mechanics at the workbench, that was a punch in the gut.Anyway, as for DS4, it only goes downhill. Now that there is a proper war between EarthGov and Unitology (don't forget Unitology has its own fleets of indeterminate strength), the shooter mechanics are going to become worse or stay the same. I don't see the series returning to its roots at all.In terms of story, the only place they have left to go is discovering the TRUE source of the markers, of the brother moons, of the necromorphs. Either we find the Brother Moons are intelligent devourers, or we find they are manufactured bio-weapons of an even greater race of aliens.and the only way to defeat them is the control them, destroy them, or merge with them.
>>29610871Fuck heresy
>>29610871>Any choice but destroy. It's like you want extinction.
>>29611313>GET OUT OF HERE STALKER
>>29611313>Get out of here STALKER!Requesting draw/writefaggotry of Isaac in THE ZONE
>>29611369>Get out of here, Stalker>FUCK YOU, AND FUCK YOUR MARKER
>>29611421>FUCK YOU, AND FUCK YOUR MONOLITHFixed that for ya.
>>29609541Original artist here, that looks awesome, thank you.
>>29611494Dude, he would totally snap if he heard about a bunch of military dudes worshipping a monolith. His brain would go into full marker apocalypse mode and the free stalkers would probably have to dogpile him to keep him from going on a rampage
>>29610611i dont think we wil get DS4IMO the whole ´´first letters thing`` of the DLC literaly killed the ftanchise
>>29611369>>29611541Isaac and Cardan would be the best of bros. Or rivals.>"Okay, rookie, I can make your shooter go flatter or straighter. Your choice.">"I can't do both?">"Sorry, buddy, I ain't a miracle worker, no matter how much sauce I'm on"From the back of Skadovsk>"Let me take a look..."
>>29611541Hold the phone, how would he feel about the Prothean Beacons in Mass Effect?>Be Isaac Clarke, get recruited by Shepard>Find out that Shepard had a bunch of scrambled info dumped into her brain by a tall glowing rock>Citadel government has a hard-on for these tall glowing rocks>Asari have a tall glowing rock on their homeworld that they don't tell anybody about, concealed within a statue of the goddess that most of the race worships
>>29611629As genius as Isaac is, I don't think he knows a lot about ancient 21'th century guns so probably he'd be totally clueless. At first. If Cardan ever made the mistake of giving him access to his workbench he might eclipse him by 67 trillion miles
>>29611727Probably less since even if they're glowing rocks, people don't exactly worship them. People consider them to be the coolest thing since sliced bread, but no Beaconology exists
>>29611727Well considering that they're proven to NOT create horrible undead abominations, and that they're created by a society that we actually found and know a fair amount about, I'd say it's different enough to still set him on edge but he wouldn't freak out.
>>29611727its the fucking moons all over again WORSE
>>29611739>"Oh, hey, you're an engineer too? Nice to meet a kindred spirit out here in the Zone. Hey, tell ya what! Get me some vodka, and I'll tell ya about what I do here."One month later...>"I'm sorry, it fires HOW MANY rounds per minute? From HOW MANY magazines?"
>>29611797And Isaac goes full Engie on Cardan.>"Use more gun"
I wonder what Earth is like in the DS 'verse.
>>29612045If I remember correctly, all oil is gone, it was overpopulated, there were Resource Wars, and on the Sprawl on Titan (Saturn's moon) it had a "Real" wooden chair.
>>29612045extra-shitty, contaminated and no resourses left
>>29612113>>29612098In that case, I wonder what Isaac would think of the Mass Effect 'verse's Earth. According to the codex, it's entering a golden age.
>>29612218I think he might actually not believe it's real for quite a while at first. He'd probably believe that the marker signal bouncing around in his head was fucking with him again
>>29612218mass effect earth got good parts and bad partsmeanwhile dead space earth only got the bad ones but yeahcompared its fucking crystal spires and gold plated houses
>>29612286If only he was Brother Clarke instead of just Isaac Clarke, Dead Space would have been so much... brighter.
>>29610760IIRC carver sees a birthday party that then turns in to a wall of dead babies
>>29612286The Dead Space universe is just a shitty place in general, to be honest. I'd say it's even more grim and dark than 40k because humanity is circling the drain. The Brother Moons are just pushing things along a bit faster.
Time for a new thread?
>>29613817Have we hit the bump limit already?
>>29613872were on page 8, its time for a new thread
>>29613872Dunno, but it seems like it.
>>29613919>>29613925Yeah, I just noticed that 4chanX has a post counter down in the corner of the screen.
>>29613515Nothing is grimmer or darker than 40k. Dead Space is also grimdark, but at least Issac know the Brethren Moons CAN be destroyed, as he's destroyed one already and there are only about 11 left. The full force of the Tyranid, however...
>>29614216You mean those scrubs who get beaten by the tau without a single loss?Besides plenty of series are more grimdark than 40k.
>>29614279I mean the FULL force of the Tyranid. The one that's slowly approaching the galaxy and has essentially eaten all other galaxies around it.
>>29614306The ones who will never reach the galaxy because of plot? The necrons are worse anyway, seeing as they can destroy any star they feel like from the safety of their home.
>>29614397They haven't destroyed Sol because...?
>>29614552necessary equilibrium and political dickwaving?
>>29614602Bullshit. They obviously cannot destroy any star they want.
>>29614552Like everything else, plot. Really dumb plot.
>>29614623No man, they straight up have a big machine/map that lets them fuck with stars. The only reason they dont use it is because they are nuts.
>>29614687That's fucking stupid. Like, holy shit. They have an "I WIN" button and they don't even use it to its greatest effect? Who writes this shit?
