The swarm is hatching, A young hive queen by the name of Wal'thrax has made her nest in the eastern pockets of a large volcano, her first eggs have hatched, but they need food desperatly.

Knowing the urgency for food, Wal'thrax commands her 9 young workers out into the Lavalands, their young exoskeletons sizzle momentarily before hardening into the thick steal like chitin that gives them their heat resistance.

Few species survive in these lands, but the workers immediately sniff out a small colony of fiery reptiles.

They are like iguanas, a 1/4 the size of your worker insects, but their frills looks almost on fire, as if hot to this touch, not that this bothers your fire eating swarm.

The young workers instinctively charge at the reptiles, though just hatched, they easily pin down the reptile with their weight and slice their vice like mandibles into the reptiles throat.

They all begin to carry the kill home, but one young worker, spotting eggs picks them up also, perhaps thinking they are insect eggs.
(Will arrive at the nest next post)

Back at the hive the Queen regurgitates some fluids for her young warriors and nurses to give them a good start, trusting in her workers quick return. (Expelling of these vital fluids will reduce egg production for 2 turns)

Work on learning the centaur language or noise or whatever. How far can our telepathy work? If we can catch the thoughts of patrolling centaurs, it might aid in learning their tricks.

If we can mutate again, let's extend the telepathy abilities to the processors, and hopefully produce some more.
>>
>>29557224
Bloody glorious. Fucking love Terrorguard lol.
And great to know you want to keep it going!

>B Tech- Decipher chant
>C Breed more Guards. (if second actions that are not related to the previous are allowed)

Opt to forgo a mutation role for duel action.

Coming up I suggest we attempt to open up their cave and rush in with our new guards plus the 15 we can normally spare as well as our terrorguards and two processors. Attempt to capture as many centaurs is reasonable. At least 2-3 and take them back to the hive and queen.

^battle plan. Not meant to be executed immediately.

You already know it, but can't reproduce the sound, so I'll take it as a mutation.

As for telepathy, lets say the Processors currently covers the ring of volcanoes around the nest, the Queens stretches to the fringes of the needle mountains, You can of course move your Queen and/or processors to get them in range, closer the better, they will default be at the main nest in the main volcano though.

Ah, in light of that no need for the Tech. So here is my mutation roll for creating a Flutist who can replicate a wide variety of (especially mammalian )sounds we normally cannot make.

Through the hive link your processors manage to gift the chords and pipes needed to replicate the centaurs chant. It seems only the Terrorguard are able to successfully use this mutation so far though.
+Terrorguard mutation: Vocal Reproduction Chords; can replicate many sounds heard but itself and other hive insects

The Queen senses the coming swarm and her eggsac pulses with excitement as 10 more guard eggs spew forth into her egg chambers, the nurses rapidly tend to them ensuring a strong batch.

OK, send 20 guards, plus all the terrorguard, all the firespitters, and one processor along the tunnels to the place where the gap opens. Keep the proessor protected and use it to detect any surprises before making the noise and swarming into the hole.

total 25 guards, 5 terrorguards, 2 processors to provide esp support, such as 'nonviolently' capturing prisoners for transport. In the raid, kill indiscriminately as long as minimum 2 prisoners are secured. Do not linger.

After contemplation the Hive Queen has decided to act on the centaurs, her food stocks are low and swarm must keep growing, every child adding to the power of the hive mind.

She mobolizes 25 Guards, all the Terrorguard and Firespitters and against their judgement, 2 Processors.

They use their tunnels to quickly get to the mountain location, the Terrorguard are quick to enact their reproduction of the chant and sure enough a hole opens up in the mountain, the Terrorguard lead the march while the guards create a sort of shell around the Processors, covering the walls and area around them.

The Processors can see the labyrinth before them and sense life on the other side of the mountains, it's centaurs, tens of them, all ages and sizes, the exit won't take long to reach thanks to the processors abilitys.

Let's move onwards with our army. Like Mathrian said, we want to attack fast, killing all but 2. A breeding pair is what we want. We can then bring them back to enthrall them. Let's try to use our processros' senses to take them by surprise. Once the battle is met, use the processors' psy beams on any apparent leaders. Keep a few guards back to protect the processors, and charge with the rest. Sounds good?

Nice 99 hiveminder

The Processors minds are overloading with new senses and sensations due to being out of the nest for the first time. Their brains begin to bulge and glow as their advance again in conciouness and share this gift with their swarm brothers and sisters via the hive link.
+Processor Mutation; ESP Mastery: Processors have an almost 3D holographic view in their mind of areas spanning miles around them, they can bestow the site upon nearby insects, long distance renders insects with the previous level of ESP.
+Tech Mind War: The Processor see need for military discipline in the swarm, they along with the Hive Queen shall direct all the lesser insects movements in battle with superior intellect.

Euphoric from knowing she will soon again feed like a Queen, Wal'thrak urges the swarm forward.

20 guards come shooting out of the tunnel exit like bullets, causing panic and havoc among the centaur.

As your guards fly circles around the centaur the Terrorguard come trampling forward, dimembering and crushing anything in it's path.

The remaining five guards stay with the Processors who begin to assault the Centaurs with their Psy beams, causing the centaurs to scream in a terrifying, gurgling pain that pleases the Queen.

What were 50 centaur are now 30 after your ambush.

They form up to make a defensive line, but only 13 are armed and armoured men, the rest are women and children.

eye them up and as the centaurs charge, let loose their stores of lava, melting the charging line to pools of goop and melted metal.

Your Firespitters and Guards begin to loot the battlefeild, picking up parts of bodies, melted flesh and bones for food, while the women and children are rounded up alive to take to the nest for assimilation.

The terrorguards are standing in a circle around the two processors, they look deep in thought then a flash of indigo light emits from their brains, all our insects now know the layout of this island. There is a centaur camp at the jungle tip this side of the mountains, plus wandering orc tribes and a troll clan.

The Processors knew what had to be done.
+Eggsplitters evolution- Hivesplitter
Hivesplitters lay 1 egg per hivesplitter per day of your choice, it will automatically go into incubation until you choose to hatch it.
