The hum of that monster's wingbeats draw near, and you slip around a tree, spewing more smog to hide your path, and casting out a halfhearted flamethrower top the side to give it a false lead. The sound of a tree being torn from the ground is heard some ways back, and then a frustrated, hissing roar as it smashes its new toy around. THe insolent things stupid beyond words. How is that thing supposed to be a "guardian?"This place is starting to go down, though the fires are coming back under control.More people you pass seem to be getting lazy from breathing in the powders, your burning breath the only thing defending you from its influence, yet your vicious still blurs, and your body begins to feel like lead.Your mad dash eventually takes you out of the village, and into the rest of the wood, yet with no bearing on your location.You snarl and keep going forward even as other monster draw closer to investigate the fire.Shifting, you trigger your index, and interface it to turn your repel tech on as you sleep around them, breaking sight and effectively disappearing.Your vision blurs again and you leg misses a push for a jump, unresponsive where it should have been.

The entire quest has been bad roll after bad roll. It split the party because of Golden's crit fail at editing memories. It caused Devon to insist on going inside the village in the first place and we critfailed the encounter roll when talking with the psychic.

Repel-tech's so strong out here that it's hard to even look for it properly, that is, given how large the dome is.It takes a solid effort to move forward until you touch the glass, and following from there until you find the entrance.Normally rangers take a neutralizing device with them when returning to the dome, a Silph Scope as it's called, but the Cat forgot to grab one from requisitions. Likely couldn't tell them that she was going to leave the dome.
