Welcome back, my Prince, to the land of the waking. Please, allow me to get these first couple of statistical posts out of the way first. A couple things may have been updated, so be sure to check them out!

Growth Level: Goes 1 - 10. At Level 1, a Kaiju is barely a match for a single human tank, if that, and is largely defenseless. At around Level 6, A kaiju becomes almost totally invulnerable to all human weapons save WMDs. At Level 9, even nuclear weapons may not kill a kaiju. At the 10th level, which is high-tier Godzilla or Evangelion-tier Kaiju, you are a walking god. Every time a level up occurs, the players may 'shop' from an available list of mutations, using available mutagens.

HP: Starts off at 100, at Level 1. For every stage of growth undertaken, HP multiplies x1.3 If the Kaiju is injured, it heals at a rate of (2 + (Regenerator Rank)) x Growth Level per turn. Food Loss is increased +2 x Growth Level until full health is reached.

Food: The amount of nutrition the Kaiju has on tap, over their Hunger Limit. Typically, the rate of food loss is 5 per turn. Players start with 300/200 Food. To Grow, players must have achieved twice their Hunger Limit in food. If players fall below the hunger limit, they begin to lose 1 point of HP every turn for every 5 points below their hunger limit they are at. Their Hunger Limit increases by x1.5 every time they grow, so players will have to be keen to keep finding sources of food. Foraging in jungles and bodies of water might keep them sated at lower growth levels, but at higher levels, players will need to hunt larger or more plentiful prey.

Mutagen: This resource is gained by battling, consuming, and befriending Kaiju. This is 'experience points' in a sense. An average mutation costs about 2 mutagen, with some higher level mutations costing 20 or more. Players will start with 10 mutagen. The amount of Mutagen a Kaiju kill rewards is 2^Growth Level/Growth
Level (rounded up) + 1 x Growth Level.

You awake, with a start, finding that it is now morning. After all this while, it seems your form has stopped growing. As you reach your 24th hour of life, you are now about the size of an apartment builder-- around four stories high from talon to eye-level, and almost a hundred feet from nose-tip-to-tail. You begin to stand, and as your massive claw strikes the rocks beneath you, a few break as they struggle to support your now 50-ton weight. No longer an infant, you feel your body is not only much bigger and heavier, but stronger and durable than it was yesterday. Whatever wounds you incurred in your first day of life hadn't left so much as a scratch on your now silver-colored scales.

You look around the dome, it's still rather dark, but the sun seems to be rising up out of one of the openings. As your eyes adjust to the light, your first thought is...

Food. We've just grown a shitload, wrestled another kaiju out of the sky, and by all odds we're hungry as hell. Our mass has rapidly outstripped our nutrition level and we should try to hunt up to at least 1.33x our food level, preferably 1.5x. It's gonna take a while to go from 385 to 450 so let's hunt. If nothing else, we should hit 400 so we have some time to burn between meals if we want to do stuff.

Besides, what else around here is big enough to take our toy?

[Sorry for the slow posts, they'll speed up in about an hour]

The deer in your area seem largely... extinct. Your impressive senses net you many more kills, your newly acquired and finely tuned eyes able to pick out the brown blurs easily. You kill even more skittish, larger animals, bison perhaps. All the same, the red meat slides down your gullet, and you feel a little more full.

And as you pace the perimeter of the dome, you find nothing moving any longer.

You take the time to scout the dome about. This takes a couple hours, but during your walks, you come across very little-- other than trees, rocks, sand and running water. Just a natural little oasis out here, several minutes from human civilization, so it would seem. Overall, it seems like a nice place, and you feel secure in it. But something catches your eye... near the top of the dome, on its rocky upper surface, is a large, perhaps ten times your size, block of mud. In and out, you can see dozens of large flying creatures like the one you fought before buzzing about. Occasionaly one would zip away, down to the forest, or up and out, and another would return. Perhaps this is where the monster you fought came from? The nest is out of reach though, it would seem.

You decide to take your leave once again. The air seems... different, today. You walk out, back towards the freeway as you do so. You wade past trees, the tallest of which come up only to your shoulder blades. You could certainly hide from anything far away, at least you think so, at any rate. It's fairly thick forest, but you're capable of trampling must of the underbrush fairly easily. As the highway comes into view, you find that there's activity over there. Instinctively you crouch down into cover to get a good look, you eyes narrowing intensely.

You see a massive, broken area of Earth, where you first exited the ground. The car has long been removed, but new metal beasts sit there. Larger ones, two of them, tall and green. As your eyes focus in, you see more of those sparklebeasts there as well, and an odd looking beast as well. Unlike the other, it has a neck, but no head attached to it. It seems to sit behind the others, with a long and green one of the human's metal beasts behind it.

Your keen eyes focus even harder, as you watch the human's activity. The metal beasts seem to be moving around a lot; the long green ones and the really fat one with the neck move with different legs than the others. They seem to have been playing around with your exit tunnel, paving over parts of it for some reason. It seems they want to enter it, but it's too steep for them to put their metal beasts in.

You see many humans with metal fish hanging around the place. You can tell, whatever their intentions, that they must be expecting you for some reason. You hear, faintly, the sound of the air being whipped in the distance, just like it was last night with the hovering metal beast.

>>
>>29335672
>Go back home and hide, where it's safe

Meet back up with our old tunnel, collapse it, head in a different direction, dig a fair distance straight down, and then dig back to the dome.

That way when they send someone through the tunnel, they'll have problems following due to the sudden drop.
>>
>>29335672
Collapse old tunnel.
>>
>>29335786
I don't know, I think collapsing our old tunnel would be uncharacteristic for the way we view humans so far as not a real threat. Plus with out anything to eat other then the hive, isn't it better for the humans to find and destroy whatever we don't?
>>
>>29335838
They're looking for us, though. Don't want ants to get into your home, so you close the door.
>>
>>29335838
True, but there's a multitude of other perspectives that could justify that sort of behavior. While we appreciate the gifts of toys and fish, these humans are still beneath us, the Prince of Monsters! And as such, if they want to enter our domain, they must prove themselves worthy of standing before us in our domicile.

That is just one of the approaches we could take for this sort of situation.

You come across the tunnel you dug yesterday (one that no longer even fits you), and you thrash inside it with your claws, caving dirt down inside it and segregating it from your own. You continue to fil in the space behind you as you return home, no doubt leaving anyone who would follow you stumped.

KAIJU BATTLE: THE PRINCE vs. KAMI HIVE

Kami Roll: 86

You trade blows with the insects as they begin to swarm you, and in retaliation you swing your massive claw in their direction. Your wounds, at the very least, heal up fairly quickly.

THE PRINCE: 96 + (9.6 + 9.6 = 19.2) = 117

The Kami come in force, but they are no match for you. Their stingers stab insistently at youe hide, but you wait for your opportunity.. and you lunge forward, snapping your jaws shut on one! It squeals in pain, before it is silence as you chew and swallow most of its body.

+1 Mutagen

You're close to the hive now; its time to go on the offensive!

Alright.

Is the hive on a flat surface? We should use our claws to dig into one side (to weaken its hold on the ground) and push the hive down from there. Our tail (and maybe our teeth) will probably be the only things we can use to fight with while doing this, since our claws will be too busy digging.

KAMI HIVE: 89
vs
THE PRINCE: 73 + (7.3 + 7.3) = 88

An impeccably close fight ensues, with the remaining insects violently swarming you-- their sword-like stingers and vice-like mandibles puncturing your silver scales, sending shooting pain through your body. You wail, grabbign the wings of one in your mouth as it flies past, and with a quick jerk, ripping them clean off, letting the crippled Kami fall to Earth. You jam your claws under the hive, trying to pry it free...

KAMI HIVE: 6

THE PRINCE: 81 + (8.1 + 8.1) = 97

Their stings seem to fade into nothingness as the flustered, panicking hive fails time and time again to ward you off. Your vicious claws have none of it; and you tear into the apartment-building sized hive with absolutely no trouble whatsoever, ripping through its mud and saliva walls as though it were gas floating in the air. Chunk after chunk rips off, until soon, the whole hive is loosed-- it falls, taking several of the insects with it as it smashes into the forest below, crushing its occupants. The Remaining Kami panic now, buzzing around you in utter fury-- until you drop from the ceiling, catching one beneath your talons in the process and using it to cushion your hard landing with a hard, earth-shattering thud as you hit the ground... and then there was...

1.

One Kami remains, floating just beyond your reach, hovering back and forth, unable to make a decision for itself. What will you do?

You give the Kami a menacing growl. It shudders in mid-air, looking you over. Its whole hive decimated, and not a scratch remained on you. And then, for the first time, the monster's eyes light up. And it recognizes something unique that its sisters did not have. It recognizes, as your first subject, your rightful inheritance over the Earth; and your dominion over all monsters.

It lands on the ground infront of you, resigning itself to its fate, in the midst of the destruction you had wrought on its former home.

You take the time to inspect the insect, looking it over. It's around forty-five feet, it would seem, from the tip of its scorpion-like tail to the end of its powerful, steel-crushing mandibles. It's wings are dragonfly-like, allowing it to hover in place and move very swiftly, and its compound eyes gaze up at you dully. The tip of that tail looks the worst; it's like a six-foot long sword. You Size Up the beast, taking into account all its statistical nuances.

I don't think it's intelligent enough for it to do anything special for us at this time. Or that we're intelligent to give a meaningful order at this time. The only use I could think would be to have it serve as air harassment when we go in to town next time.

You decide to let the Kami go free. having suitably felt you trusted it enough to do so. You turn around, and the insect quickly soars off into the sky, up through the top of the dome, and you go to eat. And boy, finally, a realy fest! Eleven Kami corpses is a lot of bug meat for you to eat, and their hive? That in of itself seems to have hid a few delectable treats; namely, eggs! The adults only give you saw much mutagen (since you already utilized Kami Mutagen when evolving, you need lots of it to have the same effect). The eggs, however, give you quite a bit.

+6 Mutagen!

>Mutagen: 7

You finish off what meat there is left, licking the slightly bioluminescent green blood from your lips as you gaze around your home. The flowing of the river reverberates through the ground, calming the savage beast within you. What now?

You decide you wish to check up on your toy! You mosey on over to the spot where you left it before, growling happily to yourself, when you spot the Crown Vic sitting there. However, the sparklebeast seems... ill. The lights that were once flashing now flash more dimly, and slowly. It seems that your toy may not be sparkling much longer! Despite this, you take the time to play with it. grabbing the top delicately with your claw and pushing it allows it to drive effortlessly over terrain, while you mull over the days events.

You gain a new Skill: (Climbing Combat). You know have +20 to all combat against an enemy while you are both scaling an object, so long as they are not flying. In which case, they no longer have an advantageous position!

You make the incredibly mature decision to hold onto the toy, but also to relieve yourself of child-like sentimentality just enough to recognize that the toy has run it's lifespan. I'm rpoud of you, my Prince, and mental and emotional growth is just as important as physical growth. For growing up a little inside;

+1 Mutagen

Using your claws, you make a makeshift trench in a secluded area near the wall of the dome; lining it with rocks, and place the car down inside it. The beat up thing looks like its about ready to be retired from the force, don't you think?

You yourself are feeling a little light on your head, it looks like. You curl up, letting out a jet-turbine-loud yawn for a brief moment, before lying your head down on your leg, and letting your eyes flutter closed.
