Dark Knight Azure. Knight clad in dark blue armor, has supernatural control over the night. What makes it a threat is that it's a fairy tale -- a living one, formed from the power of the Fae. Thus it OBEYS the rules of fairy tales, including supernatural immunity to things that don't obey the laws of the story it's living. What story? The PCs will have to find out, otherwise, the mute beast will rampage endlessly.

It can talk, actually, but it does so in the form of story prose and text, and will only talk to someone who speaks in the same manner. Danger of being caught in its narrative if you follow its story too deep.

Gunslayer Grant. Frivolous older man with too much money and too much time on his hands -- what makes him a danger is that he's produced and created an insane and propriety technology that does in fact render bullets useless, allowing him to parry them with his sword (he's obsessed with swords being better). He wants to test this technology at first in safe and simple 'duels' with gangs and the like, and he may even seem like an ally.

But he wants to make this technology worldwide and rampant, to help spur a new era of swordsmanship and anti-gun sentiment. His power comes from several parts of his suit, and his sword.

Ironically, the secret to beating him is to just challenge him to a sword duel -- he's not actually a great swordslinger, just the best in a world where there isn't many.

The Unknowable is incredibly technologically advanced, and every application of his science (matter-altering staff, hyperfield armor, telepathic neural implants) is considered by the denizens of the plane to be magic. He is contemptuous, vociferous, cares nothing for the lives of any "surrounding specks," and incredibly arrogant (think BBC Sherlock combined with Galactus). Although he is now human sized, he is incredibly long-lived and views time from a different perspective--although he considers this to be a typical setback in experiments, he's been native to our home plane long enough for religions and myths to spring up around him. The trick to defeating him may lie in finding his old laboratories scattered around the plane, and using his own discarded technology against him (which means learning how they work, and possibly ascending to cosmic godhood). Of course, that still leaves the problem of an exponentially expanding plane consuming the universe...

Gamut, an ex-mercenary and killer who began life as a dozen orphaned children in the slums of a massive secto-metropolis. Gamut swaps the controlling intelligence on a regular basis; sometimes it's a boy who just wants a popsicle, sometimes it's a lost teenager searching for her (long-dead) little siblings, sometimes it's a raging murderous psychopath lashing out at the world. The presence of all that military tech and power tends to...complicate things. It's when the prodigy intelligence is in charge that Gamut really becomes self-aware--and dangerous to the point of sociopathy. Destroying Gamut lies in finding it when the brain-dead intelligence is in charge, and the body's shut down. Whether the dozen children making up Gamut can ever be saved remains to be seen.

That much is known about the Prism : it is a plasma-based lifeform that distorts everything around itself. It is featureless, can expand to up to about forty miles of diameter and the temperature inside it is about 32°C, regardless of outside climate. Those exposed to the Prism are forever changed, physically twisted by the unknown radiation it oozes. Their mind is affected as well, tho not only by the pain they felt : they will tell tales of impossible things, claim their heard songs and chimes inside the prism, and those that got caught in the most intense part of the area - the center - will swear they have seen a young girl of all the colors of the rainbow look at them, and tell them everything will be allright when the entire world will have accepter her love.

While common sense dictates that were probably delirious, a distressing coincidence remain : they all know her the same name.

The infant would die if left there but if it lived then it would live in a filthy world surrounded by hate and cruelty. She wondered she would be doing it a kindness by leaving it there. It was then that a bright light consumed the child and she heard a voice in her head. "I have seen into your heart. I know of your despair. There is no need for that despair. I have been sent by my lord to save man from his grim fate. However, I have been given a vulnerable mortal form. My life as well as the fate of man is currently in your hands. Will you protect me until I am able to fulfill my destiny?"

The nun picked the infant up and held him in her arms. She looked upon his face and shed a single tear of joy. There was still hope for the world.

The infant was actually a demon tricking her into protecting him so he could summon his lord unto the physical plane when he was strong enough. Sorry about the religion shit

The file calls him "Zed". That's it, no other name or designation. Half of the lab's files on him were shredded or torched, so it's hard to say just what he- or she- is. Now, whether or not Zed's prosthetics were meant to be platforms for heavy weaponry, I don't know, but Zed was able to get a hold of them during his breakout, and, well, you've all seen the security footage. I don't know where he got the mantle or the hat from, but he has declared himself the "gene pope" and sworn to destroy all enemies of the righteous. As of an hour ago, his crusade had brought him within one hundred miles of the city of Tacoma. Needless to say, if he reaches the city, we'll have the bloodbath of the century on our hands.

Cyber Hotaru

Hotaru was a Japanese samurai who, unlike most of his peers, sympathised with the causes of foreign nations as Japan was slowly dragged, kicking and screaming, into the modern age. Hotaru believed that technology was the way forward, and that it could be mixed with ancient tradition: both could co-exist, and other samurai were over-reacting when they said that technology threatened their way of life.

Hotaru's views were considered so extreme that his daimyo declared him dishonoured. Faced with the choice of becoming a hated, hunted ronin or death, Hotaru rather unwillingly committed scrabble. However, his spirit lived on.

Hotaru's spirit lingered in Japan, and watched it progress. The samurai's soul became filled with hatred and anger as he observed Japan becoming more and more technological, whilst he had died because other members of his culture had decided that technology was bad: he had died for for nothing.

It was during a military technology and robotics convention that, in a fit of ethereal rage, Hotaru seized control of several machines and combined them into a new body.

With a hoard of robotic minions and an array of spiritual and technological powers, Cyber Hotaru plans to destroy Japan and remake it as he sees fit, as the country itself clearly has no idea what it's doing. From there, he plans to take over the entire world.

The final battle is an endless onslaught of death magic, negative energy and music, where all the players must utilize their skills to dismantle the creature before the creature finishes it's song.

As we see it play we see projections of entire galaxys slowly dying as the death knell is played, and the longer this goes on, the more this affects future campaigns.

The final boss is an incarnation of the Creator this dreaded black construct projected by the monolith itself.
