To clarify my rationale, we have three ways to boost our strength. Kaioken is more dangerous to the user the more energy it draws. This means that a kaioken x5 or higher would likely kill us, so if we were to use it we'd have to set it up so that the one shot we had would kill 20 for sure. SSJ2 requires a mastery of SSJ1 that I don't think we have yet thanks to a blind timeskip where we didn't specify that we were training to maintain the transformation.

We tuckered out even before 19 did. The endurance race against 20 isn't one that we can win.

We really have two options that I can see: first is cornering him and having Vegeta use the Power Ball, which likely goes to golden oozaru. Upside is that's a x10 multiplier on top of our x50 from super saiyan. Downside is we'd be unfocused, and SOM might use it as a chance to have Gero/20 escape again despite us being far faster and stronger than him.

Other option is that we could initiate a beam duel with Gero/20's hand beams, and pop a x10 kaioken to overwhelm him. Upside is it kills him dead. Downsides are that it kills us dead too (for now), and that we can only use it if we figure out he can't absorb it and we can get him above us so we don't blow up the Earth.

Any other plans I can think of either take too long, or don't address the gap in our powers.
