>Year - roughly 25,000 BC

Since ice came, tribe has travelled around lands, looking for food and somewhere to call home.

Old wall-tribe is long gone, covered in snow and ice. You are Aaki, fire-carrier for wandering tribe. Aaki's job is very important, if there no fire, tribe will die.

Tribe has leather and wood to make shelters in the night and supplies from last hunt. Aaki has a pouch with plants in that keep fire alive.

>An ice age has hit
>You've been reduced to a nomadic tribe, about 50 members.
>You have food, portable shelter and a selection of tools available.
>You are pretty much surrounded by snow, but your group is travelling south, where lots of other tribes are apparently going.
>What is your first action?
>>
>>29000038
Look at state of fire. If fire weak, make ember strong!
>>
>>29000072
Aaki opens pouch on hip and looks in.

Sees ball of plants and green stuff, Aaki opens up and checks that ember is still alive. Little black fire still smoking and bits of red dance on it.

Fire is still alive. Aaki do good job.
>>
>>29000083
Fire is good. Keep traveling.
>>
>>29000083
Who is leader? Report to leader, fire good.
>>
>>29000096
>>29000098
Tribe keep walking across snow. Fur on feet keep them warm and make walking on ice easier.

Aaki go up to tribe leader, Mawg. Mawg is oldest in tribe but is very strong, Aaki tell Mawg fire still OK.

"Good, Aaki good fire-carrier" Mawg say to Aaki, his voice very crumbly.

Aaki feel pleased and continue walk with tribe. Tribe man point and shout, him point at mountain peak in distance. Tribe see small light near peak.
>>
>>29000118
Where is the sun? If not about to set keep walking. Dont climb the mountain, no time to loose and it'll be even colder up there.
>>
>>29000134
>Sun disappearing behind mountain

Aaki shout to tribe. "No mountain, tribe must stay south. Otherwise tribe die!"

Mawg nods his head and agrees with Aaki. Tribe man quickly put his arm down and tribe continue to head south.

Sun now peeking over horizon. Tribe set up camp for the night. Men and women sometimes share tent, tribe leader has big tent and more important people stay in there. Aaki in big tent with leader, leaders woman, and few other tribes people.
>>
>>29000165
Time to deploy fire; We have firewood, right?
>>
>>29000192
>That you do.

Aaki ask other tribe member for wood and sets up small fire in middle of tent. Hole at top lets smoke out, but keeps heat in. Very useful.

Soon Aaki have good fire crackling away, tribe leader and other members gather around, warming their hands.

Aaki look around, see Mawg and Mawg's woman. Aaki also see Krak and Kruk, them brothers and best warriors of tribe, Mamot, tribe biggest member, him carry lots of wood and things. There also Loka, tribe healer and few other women around.

>Go to sleep?
>Talk to tribe?
>Other?
>>
>>29000210
>Talk to tribe?
Ask when they think we reach warm land.
>>
>>29000228
"When tribe reach warm land?" Aaki ask group.

Group mutter between themselves. "Tribe have been travelling for many month" Mawg say in his crumbly voice. "Tribe will get there some time."

"What if there no warm land?" Mamot say, his voice very slow and deep.

"Then tribe will live in cold." Mawg say back, he stares at Mamot.

"There still animal around" Krak say.
"We can kill and tribe will live" Kruk say.
>>
>>29000267
We lived these months and we will keep on living for sure. Lets go to sleep. Gotta move at first light.
>>
>>29000274
Tribe talk for little bit before sleep. Talk about many things, Krak and Kruk argue over who is best hunter. Mamot grunt occasionally and continue to carve statue of bone.

Tribe eventually go to sleep, Aaki is awoken by sun coming through top of tent. Aaki go over to fire and keeps embers in fire pouch for safe keeping.

Aaki walk over furs and hide on floor and slowly wake tribe up. Soon tribe is all packed up and heading off on walk.

Tribe walk for few hours when Krak suddently see big footprint in snow. "Big woolly was here. Heading in same direction we are" he says to Kruk.

Kruk agree. "Wind going other way, big woolly not smell us. We keep walking and kill big woolly."
>>
>>29000313
Everybody stopped talking like good ol' Og? Sad, it had a certain charm to it.

Well let's go do what he says anyway. If we can actually take it with our small group it should provide us with some food and more fur and tusks.
>>
>>29000313
where did we first steal fire from?
>>
>>29000345
>As you can see, the language is changing as we advance through the ages.

>>29000313
Tribe keep walking when Kruk suddenly hit ground belly first.

"Shh" He say to rest of tribe, and point to big woolly in distance. Tribe quickly lay on ground so big woolly don't see them.

Krak and Kruk take spear thrower and spears out, and slowly stand up. Krak judge distance while Kruk gets spear ready.

"AHAHAH, Kruk am terrible hunter!" Krak bellow across snow. Big woolly hear and quickly run away into distance, Krak not stop laughing.

Mamot run up and hits Krak over head. "Stupid Krak, am scary big woolly away!"

Mawg walks past Mamot, Krak and Kruk without a word. Rest of tribe follow.
>>
>>29000402
>Small timeskip

Tribe walk for many months over snow and ice, past mountains, valleys and cliffs.

Krak and Kruk prove they good hunters when they take down two big woollies in a competition. Tribe have much food and Mamot carry most of it. Mamot told off when he eat some of it.

Mawg look up at edge of world and see small dots. Mawg eyes very good though his is old man. Mawg make big smile and pick up pace.

Aaki wonder what Mawg so happy about, and look into distance. Aaki see black dots too and hurry behind Mawg.

Black dots move quicker and quicker and get bigger and bigger. Soon black dots standing in front of Aaki and Mawg, black dots are other tribe!

Mawg listens and coughs slightly before making gestures to the other tribe leader.

Rest of dark skin tribe come round and know Aaki tell truth and just want peace. Dark skin and light skin tribe slowly walk towards each other and try to talk. They look at each others cloths and pretty things, most like what they see.

Aaki talk to Krak and Kruk, "Mawg and Mamot need big fire to send spirits to sky." Both nod at same time and talk to tribe to get wood.

Aaki stand in front of pile of wood with Mawg and Mamot on, Aaki say a few words before looking in pouch and getting ember out. Aaki kneel down and place ember at edge of wood. Soon whole wood pile is on fire and Mawg and Mamot's spirits travel with smoke up into the sky.

Most of tribe is staying together as man and woman in small tents. Both tribes have put big tents together to make huge tent for important people.

Aaki, Krak and Kruk step in and see dark and light skin members sitting around big fire, eating berries and drinking.

Aaki look around fire, Krak and Kruk sit down. Aaki see Loka, with few other dark skins around her, seeing her healing plants and berries.

Loka stand up and say "Aaki, dark tribe know much about healing. They have very good plants." Aaki sit down by fire and gather everyone around.

Aaki point to dark skin member. "Aaki saw this man carry fire for his tribe. Now man carry fire for all of tribe." Aaki take fire pouch and give to dark man. Dark man understand what need to be done and puts pouch over shoulder.

Many months pass, the tribe continues their journeys through the land of ice. The mixture of tribes into various hunting and gathering groups has worked incredibly well, everyone now pretty much understand everyone else, with children picking it up very quickly.

The tribe finds a small forest, with a river running right through it, and that river joining the sea a short distance away (roughly 2 days travel).

Trees are chopped down, animals are hunted and the tribe soon flourishes within this small area. There are large deers and small pockets of various woolly animals still kicking around, and plenty of herbs, berries and plants to eat as well.

Aaki proves to be a pretty good leader, keeping tensions low and everything fair between the two tribes. Krak and Kruk have improved their skills and are by far the best hunters in the tribe.
