Popo remains absolutely silent as he leads you through the halls of the lookout. You decide it's probably best not to say anything to him. Conversations with him are not often pleasant, anyway. As he walks down the hall, he stops, and taps a certain spot on the floor five times. He steps back as a section of the floor slides open, revealing another staircase. Remaining silent, Popo descends down the stairs, you following closely behind. At the bottom of the stairs is another hallway, though it is different from the others due to there being no doors lining the walls. The only door is at the end of the hall, and Popo approaches it, knocking three times and saying something you can't hear. It swings open, and he steps inside.

Following him, you find yourself in a massive room, filled with strange circular doorways on the walls. Strangely enough, they don't seem to lead to somewhere else in the lookout, they seem to lead to different planets.

Preparing yourself, you step through the portal, ending up in a dark, dense forest. The night is alive with the sounds of various creatures, the sort of almost musical sound that can be heard in forests on most worlds.

You dodge the snapping jaws, and another head shoots out from under the trees, trying to devour you as the last one did. You dodge this one as well, and yet another head comes up. More and more appear the more you dodge, all snapping at you and one another. They let out cries of frustration as you evade them, and withdraw back under the trees. You continue flying towards the shape in the distance.

As you get closer, and see it more clearly, you see it as a large, ruined building of some kind. Perhaps a palace, or a fortress or something. While it would have once been difficult to get inside, there are now several holes in the structure that will allow for easy entrance. You notice one in the roof, one on the ground floor, and one halfway between the top and bottom.

You sense nothing inside, but then again, you never sensed the predators that attacked you just moments ago. Climbing through the hole, you find yourself in a large room that has clearly seen better days. Sections of ceiling has crumbled to the ground, leaving piles of rubble in the room. Various pots and vases lie shattered, and braziers have been knocked over. You see a humanoid corpse lying against one of the walls, clutching a dagger that is piercing its chest. On the far side of the room, you see a doorway with the doors missing.

You decide to inspect the corpse, little more than a skeleton at this point. Approaching it, you examine it for injuries beyond the dagger in its chest. There is a dent in the front of its, skull, implying it was beaten over the head during the attack that killed it. Removing the dagger from its hand and chest, you see that it is covered in a dried up substance. Perhaps poison, perhaps simply blood. Maybe even a mixture of both, but you can't tell for sure. The man stabbed to death and the poor condition of the building would imply that there was some sort of conflict here at some point. It also implies that the place has been abandoned for some time, though you can't be sure how long.

It is slightly shorter than you, and stands on two legs. It is covered in black hair, with clawed hands that are covering its eyes, and clawed feet to match. You cannot see its face, as it is covering it as it screams in pain, the light apparently very painful.

After several seconds, it cautiously removes its hands from its face, and you get a good look at it. It's face is humanoid, but gray, and its mouth full of razor sharp teeth. The creature snarls and charges directly at you, raising its claws to strike.

There is a blinding flash of light, and the creature screams so loudly, you feel as though other creatures miles away heard it. It falls onto its back and rolls around on the floor, shrieking in agony. You can barely see it, the room becoming pitch black once again.

You clutch the dagger in your left hand. As the creature approaches, you step forward and slash across its throat. The dagger emits an odd glow as it connects with the creature, which immediately stops its attack and falls to the ground, clutching at its throat. It tries to scream, but no sounds come out, and as you watch, it dies in front of you.

You take a moment and examine the dagger, now partially coated in the blood of the slain creature. It no longer glows, looking like a plain, ordinary dagger once again.

You take a few moments to examine the room. It is mostly empty, other than you and the corpse of whatever it was you encountered. All you really see is a pile of what look to be leaves in one of the corners, possibly what the creature slept on. Not far from where you are standing, you see a large set of doors.

You decide to go and examine the pile of leaves in the corner. Rifling through them, you come cross a skull and some bones. They look identical to those of humans or saiyans. This raises some more questions about what happened in this building. The scene downstairs would indicate a battle between intelligent humanoids is what brought the base to abandonment and ruin. On the other hand, this creature that was still inhabiting the place when you showed up was in possession of bones that would very much fit with the corpse you found downstairs. You have to wonder if it simply collected remains from the battle, or if some sort of civilization still exists around here and are preyed upon by this type of creature.

Popo told us this is hard mode and exploring a deep dark dungeon immediately after the death scream that SOM made a point of saying echoed through the forest seems like a stupid idea.

You decide to take the skull with you. Not wanting both of your hands full, you hook the dagger at your waist. Climbing down through the hole, you exit the building the same way you came in.

As you step outside, you hear a crashing and feel tremors in the ground. You sense nothing, but you know something is coming. You take to the sky, keeping your power level suppressed, and look down.

A massive creature crashes through the trees, coming to the small clearing leading to the building. It is absolutely massive. It walks on four legs that end in clawed feet. It has a long, narrow snout lined with razor sharp, hook shaped teeth. Anything it sinks its teeth into will not escape easily. It has a long tail that ends in a massive club covered in spikes.

Unfortunately, the dagger bounces harmlessly off the thick skin of the beast, and before you have a chance to do anything else, its tail comes around and strikes you from behind. Your armor protects you from the spike, but the impact is still painful. You are thrown to the ground in front of the creature, who opens its mouth, preparing to devour you.

You swiftly move to its underbelly, avoiding its jaws, which slam shut where you had been seconds before. You fly quickly under it, holding up the dagger and stabbing into its underbelly. Once the dagger is inside, you fly, cutting it open as you move. Looking back, you see blood and organs fall from the open stomach of the creature, which lets out one last cry before collapsing dead to the ground. The dagger, which began glowing when it made contact with the creature, returns to normal.

While you examine both the dagger and the dead best you hear movement nearby, coming from just inside the forest.
