The rest of the tribe watches on as the mammoth stamps it's feet and trumpets loudly in the air. Og places his Og-rock by his feet and smiles at it, Og-rock simply smiles back.

Big horn lies bloodied and broken in a pile nearby, it'll die soon and the rest of the tribe won't let it go to waste.

Og grips his club firmly and stands his ground against the charging beast. The mammoth sprints at Og, Og runs at the mammoth screaming like a wild man and flailing his club around. The mammoth swipes his trunk at Og and hits him in the midsection.

Og is thrown a fair distance against a rock that juts out of the ground. Og hits his head fairly hard and spits blood. Through double vision and failing organs he manages to open his eyes one last time.

Og-rock is at Og's side. Og doesn't know if it's the double vision or something else, but it looks like Og-rock isn't smiling anymore. Og-rock is upset.

I'm gonna have to think on what stages of civilisation we play through. I'm going to make them all dangerous, so each part may only last 1 thread, like this one, but I'll have to come up with a list first.

I'm toying around with doing 2 more set in the Stone Age. This one's obviously early Stone Age, what with no tools and all. The next will be middle Stone age, you'll have access to flints and sharpened stuff and the like.

And I don't care how much retconning or handwaving I have to do, this quest will be Og's legacy.

And Og-rock will be a recurring character.
