After another 6 months, TEEGEE DRAGON QUEST IS BACK! Once again, I apologize for my absence, as University obligations have somewhat clouded my calender, but it is now time for the holidays.

As a result, I will be running this quest pretty much daily for the next week or so, then if you guys are still interested, I'll continue on every few days until we either die, or the story comes to a natural end.

I hope you guys can forgive me for abandoning you.

So without further adieu...

Greetings Fatguys and Catgirls, and welcome BACK to /tg/'s Dragon Quest!

This is Halmorra, a continent home to all manner of creatures great and small, smart and dumb, peaceful and violent. And none are greater, smarter and capable of more violence than Dragons.

Capable of living for thousands of years, there are no more than a hundred or so of these creatures in existence. Titans of Nature, Primordial forces, Living Storms, Winged Death, Benevolent Healer, a Dragon can be all of these things.

During the most recent thread, you accidentally discovered your ability to create metal golems...by getting hungover and throwing up. You practiced giving orders to your humanoid creation, and discovered to everyone's chagrin, that golems are fucking stupid. It's order to collect water resulted in it attempting to collect water from a nearby lake, which it tried to reach by walking straight off a cliff face.

And landed on the local Inn, despite your attempts to stop it. You then decided to try to flee the scene.

So less than 12 hours after swearing an oath to your only friend to protect mankind, you have killed four people.

Lets resume.

You observe the scene from above as you begin to leave, your powerful wings carrying you above the wreckage. The Inn lies shattered, pieces of wood, brick and mortar lay strewn across the ground, some of it slipping slowly into the lake.

You watch in horror as the barmaid you healed runs in fear below, screaming bloody murder at the top of her lungs, her clothes ragged and torn from the destruction. The drunk stumbles after her has fast as he can, shouting something unintelligible about lizards. They are both clearly going to alert the town guard. The Bartender remains motionless, staring blankly at what was once his livelihood, now lying in ruins. You put it down to shock.

And finally, you turn to the face you don't want to see, the Hermit's, expecting great rage and anger, expecting him to roar and bellow at you...

But he does not.

From the cliff-side overlooking the destruction, he simply stares at you, rooted to the spot, his face an emotionless mask as he watches you attempt to flee. It is all you can do to look back.

And for the first time since he regained his youth, you see the eyes of the old man in the cave staring back. The same eyes that were full of fear the night you hatched.

"...what have we done?" he says, observing the scene below, his voice trembling.

What do you do /tg/?

i'm not sure op, you said that last time...what if you leave again?
>>
>>28720442

Wait wait wait, they build the inn on the cliff face? And they never have the problem of rock falling at great speed on top of them? Bullshit, they could very well see this happening.

>>28720598
It's built in a sort of valley, between Mt Caenor and Kano lake. Called the Bear Arms Inn (or was). You'll find it on the map here.

Holy fuck this is back? Fucking yes.

What >>28720870 said, but also offer to rebuild the Inn with our glorious forging powers.
Build the bartender an Inn so glorious that he forgets everything that's happened.
>>
>>28720870

"I'm...I'm sorry." you say, descending slightly to land on the cliff-face beside Bromit, careful not to dislodge any rocks that may tumble down. "I didn't mean...I never meant...."

"...I know." he says reluctantly, his gaze still focused on the wreckage. "I know this was an accident. You would never do this deliberately." He turns to face you, his features softening slightly. "Or at least, I hope you wouldn't."

You nod profusely.

"But...I'm not the one you need to convince." Bromit continues, turning and pointing down to where the Orc bartender stood, still rooted to the ground.

>>28720975

Heeding Bromit's words, you leap down the cliff, landing as softly as a one hundred ton lizard made of living steel can, and approach the Orc slowly, careful not to alarm him any more than you already have. Your presence seems to snap him out of his reverie, and surprisingly, he turns to face you, his face ignited with barely suppressed anger.

"I'm sorry." You blurt out, unsure of what to say. The only person you've ever spoken too properly is Bromit. "I didn't mean for this to happen. It was an accident."

The Orc glares at you, his eyes filled with fire. "As despicable as those bandits were, and as much as I hated her husband." He growls, staring you in the eye. "I don't appreciate you killing them on my property and scaring away my employees."

He takes a step closer to you.

"AND I CERTAINLY DON'T APPRECIATE YOU DESTROYING MY DAMN TAVERN." He roars, raising his fist and striking repeatedly you in a blind rage, causing 2 damage.

Your HP is now 548/550

>an unarmed orc blindly attacking a 50ft dragon
dis nigga hardcore, I say we recruit him, he clearly doesn't give a fuck about the people we just killed.
>>
>>28721959
Build him a newer, better tavern.
Because that's our answer to everything.
>>
>>28722134
I don't think he'd be all that willing right now. Just let him hit us for a bit, not like he's going to actually do any damage.

Do this, >>28722236, but make sure to remove all the bodies first so we can honor them properly afterwards.
>>
>>28722134
You notice that this Orc is one of the few who has not been frightened by you since you awoke, and perhaps he would make an excellent subje-friend, he would make an excellent friend. You decide however, that now would probably not be the best time to ask him. Instead, you simply allow him to strike you until he eventually tires, which deals 3 damage to you.

Your health is now 545/550.

>>28722573
>>28722236
Leaving the exhausted Orc to care for his bleeding arms, you make your way over to the wreckage, and begin removing the corpses.

As you move them, you are able to examine them in more detail. You notice that all but one of the corpses all have the same insignia adorned somewhere on their clothing. A rough circle with a what looks like a red blade drawn across it.

Satisfied that you have found every victi-corpse, every corpse, you place their bodies carefully at a distance, and then turn back to the wreckage.

You begin collecting the debris leftover from the crash, and pile it into a rough square. You feel the heat rise from within as molten metal begins to spew from your mouth, covering the debris as you create a base for the building.

You then begin moving round the edge of the square, leaving a thin layer of metal as you go, rising higher as you complete each circuit until the wall is nearly 15ft high. You then continue this, but at an angle, bringing each side closer and closer together until it forms a full roof.

You repeat this with a second storey, making sure each layer has cooled before adding another.

Finally, you lay a thin layer of metal down towards the lake, before widening it when you reach the water, creating a walkway and platform that overhangs the water, all made entirely of shining steel.

You step back to admire your handiwork, a large, gleaming building now stands where the wooden inn once stood, complete with it's own docks and viewing area, all forged by your hand.

The Orc now stares in shock, once again dumbstruck by what he sees.

You turn to face him, and lower you head towards him. "This is my penance. I apologize for the distress and loss I have caused you." You look over to the corpses that now lay in a line at the edge of the lake. "If there is anything I can do..." you ask, looking back at the Orc, "Please let me know."
>>
>>28723906

The Orc does not reply immediate, instead admiring his new home, until finally he replies. "Get rid of the bodies." He says, his voice still riddled with anger. "Dump them all in the lake." He says simply, hesitating before adding. "Except the one in cloth, leave him here. The barmaid is going to want to bury her husbands body."

You look at him inquisitively. "You do not seem particularly upset that I have caused his death." You say, glancing at the corpse. "From what I know of people...this is not normal?"

The Orc simply shrugs in reply. "He was a bastard, and the others over there were worse. You did me a favor."

You are about to reply, before the Orc interrupts you.

"Now hurry up and get rid of those bodies, and get the hell out of here before you scare away any more customers." He says, before strolling away into his new Inn.

You make your way over to the bodies, where you realize you haven't eaten for quite a while, and are terribly hungry.

What do you do /tg/?
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Just reminding you guys since it's been a while, flesh does give you sustenance, but not as much as even the most common of metals such as tin and copper. Rarer metals give you more and can even give you new abilities. Gold is like crack to you.
>>
>>28723970
Take them out to the lake, then eat so Bromit and Tavern-orc won't see you.
>>
>>28723906
>>28723970

Would throwing the bodies in the lake actually be enough to get rid of them? I mean I know they're just bandits an all, but even so somebody is going to ask some questions about five dead bodies floating in the lake.
>>
>>28724124
>>28724271

You decide that simply dumping the bodies would not be sufficient, and instead opt to devour them, so as to remove all trace of their presence.

Knowing Bromit would probably not approve of your actions, you decide to take each one out to the lake before devouring it. You gag slightly as you eat each one. These men taste awful! Bitter and flavorless. Nevertheless, you are still hungry.

Finishing you meal, and making sure there are no traces of blood on your jaws, you make your way back to the shore, where the bairmaid's husband lays. A pang of guilt twinges inside you as you imagine how the barmaid must be feeling...

The barmaid! She was running to alert the guards, she must have reached them by now, it had been several hours since she ran into the distance after all. You are about to leave, before your guilt gets the better of you. You gently pick up the husband's body, and dunk it in the water, in an attempt to wash the blood off, and walk to the back of the tavern.

You create a small slab of metal, as long and as wide as a man, and as tall as his waist, before placing the body down gently. There, now he could as well be sleeping.

Confident that you have begun to atone, you rejoin Bromit on the cliff face, where he has visibly relaxed. "I heard what the Orc said, you're lucky the only people that died were bandits and a wife beater." He says, turning to you. "But I seriously doubt you're going to get that lucky twice."

You turn to Bromit, his face no longer a mask of cold anger.

What do you say/do /tg/?
>>
>>28725125

Well it's been about an hour with no replies, so I guess either I've started this at the wrong time, or I've left it too long and nobody cares.

Probably the latter.

In any case, we'll wrap this up for now, and I'll return tomorrow at a similar time to resume.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________
Right, lets see how you did /tg/.

>apologised and atoned
>built an inn
>ate some guys
>built a funeral pyre
>forgot about the barmaid who ran to get the guards

You have earned 1xp, which brings your total xp to 44! You will reach the third of your evolution at 50xp.

Until tomorrow /tg/!

I mostly missed this the first time around, but I liked what little I saw, so I'm now reading all of the old threads. I'll participate once I'm caught up.

Thanks for creating some good content.
