You are Christopher Phillips, previously just another teenage nerd living in a small English town, and a lot of things have changed in your life since you died.

This could have been a nice evening. That was the plan - a romantic dance or two, some celebrating, good food and good music, all to round off the school year and give you a nice break before you have to start revising in earnest for your exams.

Of course, someone had to go and ruin it. The bastard in question is a guy you thought you’d taken care of a long time ago, Jason Souza - an old friend of yours who turned into a major thorn in your side for a while, until you beat the crap out of him and then ripped his boss’s heart out. You’re not sure why he’s decided to ruin your evening, but you’re pretty sure how: the old cliché of spiking the punch. Everyone who’s been drinking it (and that looks to be pretty much everyone here) has been acting impulsive, angry, or just plain weird.

Jason is sitting alone at a table on the opposite side of the room, wearing a cheap suit and with a smug grin on his face as he surveys the slowly building trouble. Arguments are breaking out all over the room as people start spilling their true feelings about each other, a couple of people look ready to start actual fights in the middle of the dance floor, and you don’t have long before the place explodes. Hopefully not literally, but you don’t like the way Jill’s staring at the few couples still dancing...

[]Go straight for Jason. Grab him, beat a few answers out of him, and find out what the antidote to this stuff is.
[]Focus on calming Jill down before she sets this little powder keg off. Order Avril and Isabella to snap out of it, do as they’re told, and help you contain the situation.
[]This is your opportunity to take charge publically. The stage is empty - get up there, grab the microphone, and make use of your new abilities to calm the whole room down.

Avril's on Jill duty, Isabella's on everybody else she can manage, and we go pound Jason.
>>

Use the voice and tell everyone to either sleep or calm down

>[X]Focus on calming Jill while ordering our most reliable minions into action. Prep to deal with Jason harshly.

We take control of the situation subtly. That way, if Jason were to "disappear" the trail won't lead straight back to us.
>>
>>28637063
If we told them to "chill out" would that net us a bonus from our cold stat? Serious question actually, I'm fairly new and have no idea how Monster hearts works.
>>
>>28636971

As we discussed end of last thread, Calm Jill, point out Jason is up to something, let the three of us take him to task.
>>
>>28637107
Oh right, just to be clear my previous post was not a vote or sign of support for that option, just a question (which seems will go unanswered).
>>
Calling it now: Apollo and Zach are going to go bugfuck crazy.
>>
>>28637107
>>28637186
((Terrible puns do not give you a bonus to your cold stat, no. But it's a nice idea. Also, the ability you'd be using for that particular option doesn't really run off your Cold stat, or any of your other stats - you're tapping into something very different from standard Monsterhearts magic, which follows its own rules and has its own tricks, and doesn't require dice rolls except by QM fiat. ))
>>
>>28636971

Supporting this because there are others in the crowd that if we ignore can rip the place apart even if we get our girls under order.

Hey, Apollo's skin is the Beast, right?
>>
>>28637452
"Jill?" You run forwards, pushing past a few tables of unimportant people and going to grab her arm. She twists out of the way, turning to glare at you.

"Jill, it's not real. Your emotions are being played with."

"Damn right they're being played with. Played with by you, you asshole!" She raises a hand and slaps you hard across the cheek, and you feel your anger beginning to boil up inside you. Her other hand begins to come up on your other side, and your hand shoots out to grab her wrist.

"Shut up and listen to me. Look over there, see who it is? Jason. He's messing with our heads, making us angry, making us lash out. He put something in the punch to make everyone start fights. He's the one that's trying to ruin our evening. It's all his fault."

You beckon Avril to come over, and point out Jason to her as well. Her face hardens as she sees him, and she nods. Jill rubs her wrist as she glares across the dance floor, trying to figure out a way to get at Jason without blasting away everyone in her path.

'Isabella? Can you hear me?'

'Of course I can hear you. What happened, your skirt-chasing not work out for once?'

'Hey, she came and chased me. Now, listen. You're going to start calming everyone down. Get your followers to start separating people, stopping fights, keeping order. And don't let anyone have any more punch. It's spiked with something. Jason's here. I'm going to go take care of him.'

'That little bastard spiked my punch? Dammit. Fine, whatever, I'll see what I can do. You still want me watching out for that white-haired woman?'

'What? What woman?' You blink, dredging up fuzzy memories. Something... 'Oh, right. No, don't bother, we're not worrying about that now. This is the problem. And stop drinking that punch yourself, too.'

'Yeah, yeah. On it, boss.' There's an edge of sarcasm in Isabella's "voice" as she drops the connection, but you see her followers start to spread out through the crowd in perfect coordination.

((Cont.))
>>
>>28638351
You grab Avril and Jill and start shouldering your way through the dancing couples. A few turn to take umbrage at you, but a quick glare from you silences most of them. One guy looks like he's about to take a swing at you, and then suddenly finds his legs knocked out from under him by an invisible push. The three of you quickly reach Jason's table.

Jason is still grinning, spreading his arms wide to gesture to the crowd behind you.

"What do you think, Chris? Almost artistic, I suppose. People's true natures being exposed, their inner jealousies and hatreds being brought to the surface. All the things you hide from each other every day. A little act of purification, perhaps. My way of making amends." He gives you a blatantly fake innocent smile, then laughs. "Oh, don't look at me like that. You're all getting exactly what you deserve. Besides, what are you going to do about it? You'd all much rather tear each other to pieces than go for me, when it really comes down to it."

You reach down, grab the edge of the table, and toss the whole thing to one side with a crash. Jason jumps up, startled, as you rush forward and grab him by the throat.

"What's the matter, Jason? You didn't consider anyone hating you? You have no idea how much I'd love to just rip your throat out right now. So how about you start talking?"

You give a squeeze to emphasise your point, and Jason starts spluttering. "Okay, okay, okay. Just as long as you let me go. What do you want to know?"
>>
>>28638540
What he put into the punch, how long it'll last and if there's an antidote

So, who's for testing our mind-magic on him once we've dealt with this? The MiW said we'd need a test subject to get better
>>
>>28638540
"How can you end this mess you created?"
>>
>>28638540
"First, your new supplier. I find it hard to believe that someone like you could have acquired the necessary components to pull this off without some backing. Though I suppose it's always possible, you never seemed the type to take initiative.
"Second, what's in the punch, how long will it last, and what's the counter-agent?"

>>28638594
Yes, he's someone who we're suitably pissed off against to do it to, but remember that questions will almost always be asked.
Remember the police report that's hanging over Cassandra's head, and the questions that were raised with Anne's death.
We'd be the prime suspect when Jason goes missing.
>>
>>28638654
>We'd be the prime suspect when Jason goes missing.
Would we? All most people know is that we used to be friends. how would they connect us to his disappearance
>>
>>28638540
I want to know just how far off you are. I want to know what you thought you could ultimately accomplish here. I want to know who, if anyone, is pulling your goddamn strings because I doubt you've coordination enough with your old boss dead to pull this off let alone lace your own fucking boots. And lastly, I want to know which is your most favorite unbroken bone in your fucking body.
>>
>>28638654
>Remember the police report that's hanging over Cassandra's head, and the questions that were raised with Anne's death.
>We'd be the prime suspect when Jason goes missing.
Nope. Those are completely unrelated in police's eyes. They are actually pretty much unrelated in anyone's eyes except for those who we wouldn't mind knowing it.
>>
>>28638540
>let me go
Ahahahaha, he thinks we'll let this slide? We let him go off once because he had to do what the Corrupter ordered him to, but this time he's going to PAY for ruining this evening
>>
>>28638692
No, I'm referring to the fact that we're a known friend of Jason's, who we had a recent falling out with.
>>
>>28638788
We were friends but we had drifted apart quiet a while back. The dude is known to be dealing drugs by most of the students. Even if they ask us about him, all we need to tell them is the truth, which is he was dealing with shady people and we haven't been close for some time.

((Here we go))
>>
>>28638971
High impact violence is on the way, I wonder if we can command one of his bones to break? Not a big or important one, just one that will hurt.
>>
>>28639095
(( You could, yes. Actively supernatural commanding power on the level of the stuff the Man in White has previously demonstrated is going to be extremely expensive in terms of power - you won't be able to do it again until you work out how to recharge your new powers, which you don't know yet - but you only need to pay once for a whole scene of power.))
>>
>>28639158
I'd rather we use that once for something more useful (like commanding to solve this situation), we can just break his bone if we want anyways.
>>
>>28639158
>for a whole scene of power
Just to be clear, we can make several commands before having to recharge?
>>
>>28639199
((As many as you like, really, but there's a rough time limit of 'okay, that's definitely a new scene'. You'll still be able to use your more minor tricks - well, you can use the perception-changing hum thing that you haven't figured out what it does yet for free, and the other, less overtly supernatural blessing or curse effect will cost you what will remain of your charges.))
>>
>>28639158
Hmm interesting. So I have a feeling we need to start taking over some things and flexing our taste for dominance.

We need a white kamui
>>
>>28639268
Can we use the voice while doing other things, such as actual fighting? Or do we sacrifice our combat turn to use it?
>>
>>28639298
((There's not really a 'turn' in Monsterhearts combat, and this stuff most definitely breaks the rules of the game anyway. But yes, you can take a mundane action while using your new powers without any issue.))
>>
So can we now take the stage after we are done with Jason? I think it's important that we have more presence in the school.

Words to consider
"Sleep"
"Calm"
"Detox"
"Obey"
"Kill"
>>
>>28639387
Orgy

what? It'll help people calm down
>>
>>28639387
If we're going to use our voice to calm people down then we may just as well start using it on Jason,s ince I'm pretty sure that's only one scene
>>
>>28639397

It will turn their anger into somthing productive. It will definetly make for a memorable party.
>>
>>28639397
Haha that's like... Second hand rape.
>>
>>28639422
That's rape, anon.
>>
>>28639450
>Yo mama's so broke, she gotta get secondhand raped!
>>
>>28639450
Although... It would effectively make everyone a pawn of Isabella

This is actually something to consider.
>>
I have a question regarding game mechanics. I know we get 1Xp every time we sate our hunger, but how much is that compared to our other Xp sources? Do we get Xp for completing objectives, and if yes how much? Do we get some for every thread?
>>
>>28639387
>"Kill"
that's murder, anon
>>
>>28639469
And if Isabella has tabs on every class member, and we have control of Isabella, then we could easily become student council president and have dominion of our first little kingdom.

The man might even be a little proud. Then we can laugh at him, and say "you haven't seen anything, old man"
>>
>>28639568
Via proxy, still I assume that's why he spoilered it.
>>
>>28639461

Not really. Just word it so it's consensual.

For example "Love".
>>
>>28639615
Have fun
>>
>>28639615
Goddammit, is Avril posting in this thread? It's rape when you use your mind control powers to make people have sex.
>>
>>28639598
I get the feeling the man in white would ridicule us for thinking becoming class president was worth mentioning. Though I agree that he would encourage us to think BIGGER.
>>
>>28639642
You'd think Avril would be sensitive about that
>>
>>28639338
“All right, Jason. Let’s start nice and simple. What did you put in the punch, and how long is it going to last? And most importantly, what’s the antidote?”

“Antidote? There isn’t any fucking antidote, dude - I just chucked in everything I had left all at once, there’s gotta be twenty different drugs in that bowl. It’ll last... long enough.” He chuckles nastily, and you give his throat another squeeze.

“Don’t get funny with me, Jason. Now, tell me what your boss’s goal is. I don’t believe you’re smart enough to come up with a plan like this all on your own. Who’s your new backer? Whose idea was this, and what do they want?”

“Hey, fuck you. This was totally my idea! Bringing truth to people, free you from the lies you tell yourselves. It’s a fucking philosophy, man.”

That’s weird. You got the strangest sense of déjà vu just now. Eh, it’s nothing to worry about right now, you’ve got bigger problems to deal with.

“Fine. If there’s no antidote and no-one else to blame but you, I guess I just have one last question. What’s your favourite unbroken bone?”

“Hey, man, you said you’d let me go! You said you just wanted me to talk!”

“No, you said that I’d let you go. I never agreed to that.”

“Fuck, look, man, just... fuck!” Jason scrabbles at your arm with both hands, then suddenly whistles. You squeeze his throat harder to cut off the noise, but you’re suddenly knocked sideways by an enormous impact. Jason goes flying, slamming into another table as you’re bowled over by several hundred pounds of fur and muscle. Zack’s werewolf form crouches over you, snarling, and lifts a massive paw.

What do you want to do?
>>
>>28639701
Activate voice
Yell "Sleep"
>>
>>28639732
This!

>>
>>28639732
As loud as possible. Try and project our voice into a thuum and hit the rest of the auditorium as well.

Then we can dust off, take the mic, and let our powers do a little puppeteering.
>>
>>28639701
I don't like it, what with it's undisclosed costs and unknown ways to recharge it, but I guess it's time to use our magical Voice and command Zack to calm down and "SLEEP". Then we can make him an obedient guard dog, along with everyone else.
>>
>>28639701
Use voice:
1 - Whistle at Zack to command his attention
2 - "Obey"
3 - "Sit"
4 - "Stay"

Unless one of you have a better idea to get this entire mess under control.
>>
>>28639732
I can guarantee you that Gloria will resist and try to kill us for "finally revealing our evil" or some such nonsense.
>>
So, will Gloriana and Ajani be affected by all of this persuasion as well? Will we be able to control them?

And what about Masami? Will all of this magic trigger her inner Deep One as a defense response?
Because I'd like to see if the Man in White will be on par with Lovecraftian Great Old Ones, or if we're going to have to run to the deepest parts of the Sahara.

Because having her as an enemy would be a big problem, since she can fight us both supernaturally and mundanely.
>>
>>28639732
Wouldn't "Detox" be more efficient? Drug induced insanity doesn't mean they'll be asleep that long...
>>
>>28639900
So why are we doing what is obviously going to fuck us over in the medium and long term, and won't even guarantee us success in the short term?
>>
>>28639858
>Because I'd like to see if the Man in White will be on par with Lovecraftian Great Old Ones, or if we're going to have to run to the deepest parts of the Sahara.
She's not a Great Old One. Father Dagon and Mother Hydra might be Great Old Ones. She's just a Deep One.

>>
>>28640253
I'd rather not leave Zack that vulnerable. If he passes out and stays in werewolf form I doubt Gloria's just going to leave him be. Might as well just make him a minion and give him the means of greater self control through our hold on him.
>>
>>28640303
Well yeah but after we narrowly avoid being rended...

When he's asleep, we can "transform" and then deal with him.

As long as it's still the same scene and we can throw words of power around.
>>
>>28640350
How about this
(to zack)
"Heel"
"Stay" (my preference) or "Sleep"
(to everyone)
"Detox"
"Listen"

Then tell them that Jason spiked the punch with a but load of drugs. Also, we should probably be humming to fuck with there perception of events, maybe try to emphasize our role in helping them and playing up Jason's responsibility for this mess.
>>
>>28640449
Another thought. Does power word "Sober" exist? If so it may be useful.
>>
>>28640566
Pretty sure any word with some presence is viable.

>>28640449
I agree with making ourselves out to be a hero, and having Jason put down.
>>
>>28640177
It seems to take an age to summon your power, as you watch the enormous paw descend, but it can’t have been more than a heartbeat. Your surroundings almost seem to be moving in slow motion. You open your mouth, and power pours forth, power to change the world. When you were only testing it, it was hard to appreciate the scale, the weight, the force of this power. Now it rises within you and around you, writing a change on the world. Reality freezes for a moment, then everything snaps into place.

You roll sideways, pulling yourself up onto one elbow, looking at the wolf.

“SLEEP.” You put as much authority as you can muster behind the word, and the werewolf barely has time to blink before it slumps to the ground, eyes closed and already beginning to snore. You scramble to your feet, glancing around. Jill and Avril scattered when the wolf hit you, and now they’re standing by the overthrown table, apparently arguing about each other’s failure to do something. Jason is scrambling for the fire exit. Can’t have that.

“STOP.” He freezes in place, and you walk calmly up to the stage. The mic’s still on.

“All right, everyone, listen to me. You’re all going to detox, right now.”

The room shudders and convulses almost as one. You can feel thick, black beads of poison-filled sweat begin to drip from your skin. People are staring around in confusion. Fists lower slowly, arguments falter. There’s a pause, and you seize your chance.

“Listen up, everybody. Jason spiked the punch with a whole cocktail of drugs. Thanks to me, you should all be feeling a lot better now. Don’t worry about what you may have said, or heard, or done while you were under the influence. It was Jason’s fault, not yours. Look, there he is.”

There’s a general muttering from the crowd. You’ve given people a nice target to go for, a scapegoat. Is there anything else you want to add, or do you want to just let them go for him?
>>
>>28640449
((Also, quick note - that humming trick seems to alter *your* perception of things, to highlight some specific thing that you haven't yet been able to determine because you've only tested it out in your room.))
>>
>>28641083
Yeah

Let's add "everything seen tonight has been a drug induced hallucination. Trust in me, who knows best"
>>
>>28641083
Sure, tell them not to let this incident ruin their night and get them partying again. Have Gloria dispose of the punch, apologize to Ester for trying to force it on her, apologize to Gloria for saving her, again, if she brings anything up AND, I don't know, turn Zack back into a human and get someone to clean him up.

Not really sure what to do with Jason. Personally I'd ask Cass to drain him, but we really can't do that in front of Ajani's crew anyways...give him over to Gloria for justice maybe? Or just enslave him somehow. Got nothing,
>>
>>28641083
I would like to know how esther, gloria and ajani are looking at us right now confusion, anger or what?
>>
>>28641083
No more talking. We don't know how this affects the other supernaturally powered people that could be problematic, like Gloriana, Esther, and Masami.

Besides, we still need to properly bind Zack to us while everyone is distracted with Jason.

((You didn't intend to, so no, you didn't. Unless you're *very* careless with your words, this power will do what you want. Like I said last thread, what you've done isn't so much making your voice magical as it is making "I am obeyed" as much a part of the fabric of reality as the law of gravity, for a little while. Hell, substantially *more* a part of the fabric of reality than the law of gravity, actually.))

everyone has been looking forward to this big night, RIGHT?(enhance the "right?" to get the croud on our side) and jason tried to ruin our night so why dont we teach him a leston, after all he has been doing prety poorl in class lately so why dont we all pitch in and give him some private tutoring? tie him to a chair and let everyone have a go at him ala airplane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvPugcb7QGE

I really, really wish we weren't about to go around ordering people to do anything extra. It seems like a horrible idea doomed to backfire.

Shit, I completely forgot that the humming tuned OUR senses. It's probably too late, but can we do the hum and see if we can spot any enchantments laid on Jason? Or the woman in white?

...I'm too late aren't I...
>>
>>28641586
((No, you're not too late.

Although... what woman in white? You don't see a woman in white around here anywhere. You vaguely remember something about a white-haired woman, but she's not important right now. You don't need to worry about her.))

"Don't let this ruin your night, people. Let's get back to having a good evening. And forget about anything strange you've seen tonight - it was just a drug-induced hallucination. Trust me."

You wave to everyone, and look around for the band, but it seems they've long since fled. It seems that a few people are getting back to dancing anyway, though, just slowly circling around their partners in a silent embrace. Most of the people on the dance floor are heading back to their tables. You make your way quickly through the crowd, grabbing Gloria and Ajani as you pass.

"You two trust me, don't you?"

"Of course," Gloria replies, and Ajani gives an accompanying nod.

"Right. We just need to dispose of the rest of that punch before anyone drinks it and starts getting drugged again. Can the two of you take the punch bowl and get it out of here?"

"Of course, Chris," Ajani says with a quick bow. The pair start to slip quickly through the crowd ahead of you. You turn your attention back towards Jason, still frozen in place near the exit. You're in a much more target-rich environment now. Maybe you can see something useful?

A quiet, low hum starts to build in your throat. Most of the room starts to blur - no, not blur exactly, just... become less important. It's hard to focus on the details, especially when a few things stand out so clearly.

Yourself, for a start. You're in control of this situation, of this whole room and pretty much everyone in it. You can see Ajani clearly: both his self-control and his command of his allies are plainly apparent now. He may be naive sometimes, but he knows how to take charge in a crisis.

What about Jason? You can see just how much he's lost control of this situation. He's frozen and helpless, and he's barely in control of himself. There's something else, some sort of enchantment. You can see it, but you're not sure how to break it right now, or what it's even doing apart from affecting his control of himself.

Isabella's web of control over her various followers stands out clearly to your eyes, too. The only other person who seems to be clearly in good control of themself right now is... Avril? Huh. Avril is very, very much in control of her own situation right now. Well, that's good.

You let the world slide back into general focus, opening your connection to Isabella.

'Sorry about that. How do you feel?'

'Like I just had several hours of hangover time compressed into a few seconds. But otherwise good. Do you still need me to keep order?'

'No, I think people should be doing better now. Let everyone enjoy the party. And you go enjoy it too.'

'Of course. What about you? Still looking for that white-haired woman?'

'No, I told you, she -'

- the night sky

- the stars, falling from their places

- "I'm here to help you."

- "Forget"

'She's... uh. Sorry. What was I... no, never mind, it's gone again. She's not important. Don't worry about her. Just enjoy the party.'

Something about... no. No, you've lost it. Damn.

"Hey, kid. What are you up to?"

Just keeping control of an entire room of students. Prevented a riot breaking out, got everyone detoxed, and I think they'll do whatever I say for a while.

"Not bad. Still a little slow, but you're getting there. Glad I'm not interrupting. Listen, you might have attracted a little, uh, attention lately, okay? Not with any of this stuff, keep doing that, building up a power base in the world, being a figure of control. That's good work. The other stuff... well, don't worry too much about it. Just, you see anyone with really weird eyes, you turn and run the other way, got it?"

Weird eyes... like falling stars?

"Oh, hell. They're there already?"

I had a prophecy, a warning about the future. It scared the hell out of the oracle in question.

"Yeah, it would do. Anyone who knows about the real powers of the world really doesn't like talking about them. They think it attracts our attention."

((Cont.))
>>
>>28642696
And does it?

"It can do, sometimes. Depends on the power in question. Anyway. Anything else you need? I need to go see if I can head these guys off, so I can't stick around forever, but I've got a little time to talk."

Mention Isabelle said something about something you can't remember that might be related to this. Ask if there are any other creatures whose radar we might have just popped up on that we should be aware of NOW. That's all I can think of for now if he has to run. Maybe ask if Isabelle's Woman in White is another facet of him or something else.
>>
>>28642720
Ask him if he can appear to Isabella more often, and help her develop some ambition.
>>
>>28642720
could these powers "partner up" with someone else like you did with me, would they have the same sort of freedom from this power or could it asume direct controle. avril seem to be very in controle, which is getting my paranoia bone twitching, like how she recomended we fight the spring king when she shouldnt have been able to, just a little odd. can he identafy what the enchantment thing is with jason, prety sure its not us because we would recognise it as ours i would suspect.

There was something you were finding odd, actually. Something you're having trouble remembering, which is odd. Could that have some bearing on the Man's warning?

"It might do, at that. Still, you're only human, more or less. You're allowed to forget a few things. Keep an eye open, and if it happens again, start worrying."

About Isabella - you suspect that the Man in White has been visiting her, too. Isabella has been seeing a Woman in White. Another facet of him?

"Ahhh... well, that's sort of complicated." You receive the general impression of someone rubbing the back of their neck. "How she sees me is related to how she sees her life. Presumably the person she sees as most in charge of her life is herself, so she sees a mirror of herself."

Right. Anyway, you'd like to know if he can try appearing to her more often - she could do with some ambitions of her own.

"Of course, kid. Happy to help. I might be a little busy for a while, but I'll drop in when I can."

Is there anything else he ought to warn you about, any other beings whose attention you may have attracted?

"None you really need to worry about right now, partner - I mean, you'll start drawing a little bit of attention generally as you keep working with me, but mostly it's positive attention. These guys, they're the ones to worry about."

Right. And these powers, could they partner with someone like the Man in White has partnered with you? Would they have the same sort of freedoms you have?

"They're not powers, kid. They're most definitely not powers. I'd rather not say their name, even here. As for partnering with ordinary mortals, they're not the partnering type. They might use a mortal as a pawn, but even then they wouldn't generally bother to keep using them."

That guy over there, he's got some sort of weird enchantment on him. Could that be a pawn thing?

"That's not quite what I meant, but let's see... hell. Yeah, that's trouble from some quarter or other."

((Cont.))

Woo! It's not over yet!

Right. Great. Any way for him to break it?

“In theory, sure. But it’d take limited resources I can’t really spare for one random mortal. Is he particularly important to you?”

Not exactly. He’s caused you a lot of trouble in the past, actually.

“Well, then the best way to break it is probably to kill him. I find that tends to do the trick.”

You’ll keep that in mind. That was everything you needed to discuss, anyway.

There’s a silence in your mind, and you turn, looking at Zack still stretched out on the floor, enormous and furry and fast asleep. Avril and Jill have righted Jason’s overturned table and are sitting silently in two of the chairs, not looking at each other. And Jason is still right where you left him, of course.

[]Deal with Zack first. People won’t ignore the giant wolf forever, even if you told them to.
[]Talk to Jill and Avril. Make sure they’re okay, and there’s no hard feelings from what they were saying before.
[]Jason really can’t be allowed to just walk away. What are you going to do with him?
[]Check on Esther. See how she’s holding up.

I really wish we could do all of those things...

I suppose I vote for handling Zack. Jason is already despised by the class now, and drugging the punch is a criminal action.

“All right, Zack.” You walk slowly over to the sleeping wolf - you’re not sure quite how deep that sleep is. He doesn’t seem to stir, though, so you take a few steps closer, until you’re within arm’s reach. The deep, rumbling snoring continues.

“Turn human and wake up.” There’s a momentary inversion of fur and bone and muscle as several hundred pounds of enormous wolf collapses down into a human body, fortunately complete with clothes. Zack stumbles to his knees, looking around in a certain amount of confusion.

“How am I over here? The last I remember... oh no. Chris? I didn’t, did I?”

“Relax. Forget about it. You don’t remember anything out of the ordinary happening tonight, Zack. “

“Huh? Well, of course I don’t. Why would I remember something that hadn’t happened? Uh... sorry, what were we talking about?”

“It’s fine. Go enjoy the party and have a good night.”

Zack wanders off, slightly confused but happy, and you turn to the table where Jill and Avril are still sitting silently.

“Girls? How are you holding up? You heard what I said about everything being Jason’s fault, right?”

Jill sighs. “I know it’s his fault, I just... I can’t believe how mad he managed to get me. I was just about ready to kill someone. Again.”

“Avril? Are you okay?”

“Well, I want to rip that bastard apart for spoiling my night with Jill. And with you, of course. I’m fine, though. I’m not sad, just angry.”

“I’m pretty angry at him myself, but we have to do this the right way, okay? Isn’t that right, Jill?”

Jill nods slowly. “We lock him up, right? Like with my mother. No killing.”

“Right. But first, I think, we need to restore our nice evening. There may not be a band any more, but would you like to dance all the same, Jill?”

She smiles slowly, her face lighting up. “I’d love to.”

Is there anything else you'd like to do tonight?
>>
>>28645177
I'd like to ask Esther how she knew not to drink the punch. Was it just heightened senses or supernatural instinct telling her that the punch was dangerous? Or did she get a tip through her information network?
>>
>>28645382
She probably just isn't stupid. It's a school party, someone was going to spike the punch and she didn't want to drink it without knowing what it was spiked with.

Our girlfriends. Originally I was going to suggest the forest, but with the stars out tonight I think we should probably keep our after party indoors.

There's actually a /tg/ Elder Scrolls pen and paper that is bouncing around.

It's actually really well constructed also. I was very impressed with the quality. If I find it again, I'll post it for you.
>>
>>28645701
There are a few /tg/ made ones, I know that homebrewing RuneQuest is a popular method of making a TES tabletop.
>>
>>28645746
I'm more concerned as to the extent of that enchantment on him. Do we know whether or not we (and our magic) can be observed through it? You know what, I'll skip the paranoid rant and just say that while I'd usually agree with you, in this case I think the risks outweigh the rewards and we should just use Zack as the test dummy.
>>
>>28645781
I was under the impression that TES lore came from the development team's home tabletop campaigns.
>>
>>28645932
Some of it does, the early games certainly do, but they never publicly released the tabletop.

Slow dancing with Jill is quiet and sweet, but not particularly mentally complex, especially with no music to follow. A simple thought slides your mental channel to Isabella open, and you request Jason be taken somewhere quiet, secluded and lockable and kept restrained until you need him. Preferably with not too much roughing up along the way, but you won't really be shedding any tears for him.

As you spy Jason being stiffly hustled out of a side door by Apollo and a few of his friends, Avril slides up behind you, taking Jill's hand and giving her a twirl.

"May I take the next dance?" she asks, and you grin as you step aside to let the two of them have some romantic time.

Retreating to the refreshment table, you see Esther nibbling at one of the trays of snacks, still with her hip flask.

"Hey, Esther. How did you know the punch was spiked, anyway?"

She shrugs. "I observed others drinking it before I tried any myself. Changes in their behaviour before and after drinking were apparent, so I surmised that drinking would likely affect my own behaviour as well."

"And you just happened to have a hip flask on you?"

"Oh, I always carry this. At family dinners it is inadvisable to drink anything one has not prepared one's self."

"Well, anyway. Sorry for trying to force it on you earlier."

Esther shrugs again. "As you said previously, your actions were the fault of another. There is therefore no need for you to apologise yourself. I will extract my redress from the guilty party, once I have the opportunity."

"Okay. Uh, have a good evening."

She smiles politely. "I wish you a good evening also. You have my contact details if you wish to discuss anything else."

The evening begins to wind down slowly. You share a few more silent slow dances with each of the girls, and Miranda ferries the three of you back to her house in her car. The main bedroom has a bed large enough for all three of you to pass the rest of the evening in a very pleasant fashion.

((I've been working, which leaves me with a lot less time to write smut, and also less time to run until 4:30am. Fortunately-ish, I'm not working from now until the new year, which gives me a lot more time to write. As for how well you're doing... well, that's hard to determine just yet. There's been a slip up or two, certainly, but you've also dodged a few major mistakes. There's definitely a finale planned. Whether everything will get tied up before then depends on whether the players manage to sort everything out. I'll certainly spill the beans on all the little secrets of the quest once we're finally done, and potentially add an epilogue if I can find the time to write one that I'll actually be happy with.))
