You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

Friday the 13th, joy.

Superstitions aside, it’s time for school once again. Today is your last day actually before the match with Heinlein and before you arrive in Casablanca for Shore Leave. That oughta be swell, the latter thing that is. You’re sure that the match with Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy isn’t going to go as smoothly as a car going over ice.

Actually, that’s pretty much how you’d describe it.

As you shower, you think on it. Hopefully Octavia will be around to give you some ideas. Radio Operation aside, everything helps. With your shower finished, you get yourself dressed and get some breakfast in you.

You also got a French Quiz today now that you remember it, that’s not going to be fun at all. You’d think that in French but unfortunately you don’t know the word for “fun.”

You do know Le Mot de la Cambronne however.

Nancy knocks on the door. “President! Time for school, you ready?”

You open up the door. “Morning, girls.” Nancy, Lisa, and Ramirez all say their good mornings to you. It’s actually incredibly temperate today, same as yesterday. Hopefully it remains this way once you get into Casablanca. Can’t wait to soak up all that sun on the beach and shop and do other girly things that don’t involve tanks at all.

They probably will involve tanks though, God willing.

All of you head down onto the street. You yawn loudly.

“Tired, Boss?” asks Lisa.

You shrug. “A bit. Me and Kitten stayed up a little late last night.”

Nancy says, “Kitten takes online courses doesn’t she?”

You nod. “Yeah, she’s lazy like that. Any idiot worth their salt can do online courses.”

“How come you’re not?” asks Lisa.

“’Cuz they’re too hard,” you say.

Lisa sighs. “Typical that we get a book dumb Class President.”

“At least I’m not Fredendall.”

“Point.”

“Speaking of which,” you say. “Have you made the arrangements for our strategy meeting after school?”

Nancy nods. “Of course! Called up all the crews, even let Octavia know about it as well. We’ll be right as rain for whatever strategy you’ve got cooked up.”

Lisa looks at you skeptically. “You do have a plan, right?”

“Of course I do! Why, we’ll have a winning strategy by the time we’re done today.”

Lisa smirks. “Well, better spend class today coming up with a plan then, Boss.”

Why you-

Nancy beams, patting you on the shoulder. “Don’t worry, President! Whatever you think of, we’ll be right behind you!”

Ramirez says, “Unless the plan fucking sucks.”

You roll your eyes and say, “Thank you, Ramirez.” You snap your finger at her, realizing something. “Actually, since you two have Theatre Tech class together, would you mind asking her to come up with some ideas?”

Ramirez nods. That’s all you need.

You arrive at the front entrance of the campus. What shall you do now?

You take a walk around the campus. Now think good strategies. What did Stonewall Jackson do at Chancellorsville? Flanked the entire Union Army, caught them by surprise. He lost an arm and died of disease because his own troops shot him of course but still.

Eh, probably not a good role model. Maybe you can spend History class planning if it’s just gonna be a study hall period.

You’re end up at the statue of the Marquis de La Fayette. Meh, you need all the help you can get. You spin the spurs on his boots, and then return to your walk.

Then suddenly, you see students rushing past you, apparently excited about something. You stop one of them to ask, “Hey, what’s going on?”

“Some girls are fighting! Christ it’s been a while!” She quickly runs off to the fight.

Hm. A fight.

>>
> Go see the Fight

She’s completely right. It has been a while since you’ve seen a fight.

Hell, it’s been a while since you’ve been IN a fight.

You run over with all the rest of the students, and soon you find in the shadow of the Social Studies Department building a crowd of girls excited to see two girls beat the ever loving crap out of each other. You push and shove your way through the mob to see who’s who in this fight. You can already hear the bets being placed. You’re tempted to put one up yourself but you think better of it. You never were good at gambling.

“YOU BITCH!”

You finally get to see who’s fighting. Joanna Bolter, fighting one of the more well known delinquents of the school, Charlotte Luciano. Joanna has Luciano in a headlock, being a lot taller than her definitely.

But Luciano has a trick up her sleeve.

“AH!” Bolter lets go of Luciano. “YOU FUCKING BIT ME!”

Luciano’s response is to punch Bolter, knocking her flat on the ground. She then gets on top of Bolter and starts wailing on her.

Girls. If there’s anything you know about girls, it’s that they fight dirty.

And not erotic dirty, actual dirty.

“Hey!” You push on down behind Luciano and start pulling her back. “Get off her!” You grab at her arms and successfully pull her off of Bolter, while also knocking her flat on her ass. “We’re in school! There’s no fighting in school!”

Luciano wipes a bit of blood off of her lip. “Keep walking, Grandma! She fucking called me a bitch and I’m just supposed to sit there and take it!?”

Bolter sits up, rubbing her cheek. She says, “I’m just stating the truth.”

Luciano gets up, and howls like a banshee, gunning for her. You get in between Bolter and her, and take the brunt of her tackle. You throw Luciano to the side like a wet rag.

“Hey!” One of the students in the crowd shouts. “It’s the Hall Monitors! Scatter!”

The crowd dissipates like cockroaches to a light, and immediately you see O’Hara, O’Brian, Pinkerton, and O’Bannon running over.

Pinkerton shouts. “Stay where you are!”

O’Hara shouts. “Stop resisting!”

O’Bannon sits Bolter up and starts restraining her as well. Bolter looks a bit out of it, but you’d probably be out of it after taking a beating like that.

Pinkerton looks at you, not happy at all. “You’re not supposed to intervene, you’re supposed to call the cops.”

You shrug. “Well, I intervened. Tough luck.”

Pinkerton crosses her arms, sighing deeply. “Do you at least know who started the fight?”

Pinkerton says, “Yeah, that’d be more threatening if you didn’t say it every time we sent you to the brig.”

O’Hara says, “Speaking of which, we’re sending you and your girlfriend here to the brig for the day.”

Luciano leans back, intent on shouting into O’Hara’s ear. “GIRLFRIEND!? I’m being lectured by a fucking dyke!?”

O’Hara fumes, accidentally tightening Luciano’s zipties. “I AM NOT-“

“O’Hara,” says O’Brian, “now is not the time to deny being gay.”

O’Hara calms down immediately, shaking her head. “Fuck you all.”

With that in mind, you say goodbye and head to class. Math Class goes by relatively simply, and you have the faintest clue that you don’t have any homework following next week because it’s Shore Leave.

Shore Leave is the week long break period of a month where an Academyship docks ashore. Whether it be a port city in England or in France or China, the week is usually spent for students getting reacquainted with landmasses. You sigh, you can’t wait for Shore Leave.

English as well goes by fast. You turn in your Personal Narrative. Hopefully, Monday you get it back with a big fat A on the top of it. Aw yiss.

Chemistry’s boring as usual. Just learning the fundamentals of lab safety. However, usually lab safety classes mean that soon you’re actually going to have a lab where you mix shit together. Now that’ll be the day hell freezes over.

“What about you, Boss?”

You pick up your lunch. Fried chicken and some watermelon. Groovy. “Well, I figured me and Kitten would do some shopping. I gotta get her some sweet shampoo, plus some nice clothes, and then maybe we could hit the beach and get some sun on that skin of hers.”

Lisa nods. “Oh, I can’t wait to go to the beach. Soak up the sun while those landlubber high schoolers are sitting in school bored to death.”

You chuckle. “Now, now, Lisa. Land High Schools have their uses.” All of you find your usual table and your usual spots. “For example, they get rid of most of the undesirables. Plus, it’s free to go to High School on land.”

Nancy says, “But we go to an Academyship because we all value education at it’s finest, with the ability to be truly independent, and be able to brag that we actually take college level courses!”

Lisa nods, smiling. “Yeah, Nancy. That’s pretty much it.” She looks over at you. “Though, I have to say, Boss. You and Kitten seem pretty close, are you two like…”

Time to see which girls aren’t wearing a bra today.

Even though you stand at a paltry 5’8, you possess enough strength in your legs to pull the jumps needed to pull lay ups into the hoops. Basketball isn’t your strong suit, but hell you can play it decently.

And you do play it decently, in fact you’re forced to carry your team. You managed to tie the game with the opposing team when, at one point, the ball is forced up into the air. You’re not close enough to catch it.

Hanna is though.

“Hanna! The ball” you shout.

Hanna looks up and holds her hands out, ready to take it.

And she takes it directly in the face.

Well, at least the ball bounced into the hoop. That’s actually incredibly impressive.

“You okay, Hanna?”

Hanna looks up at you as she lies down after being knocked flat on her ass. She says, “I’m not good at sports.”

“Clearly.”

Hanna shrugs as she washes herself down. “Oh, animation definitely. I animate a short Flash series on YouTube. I actually make quite a bit of money from it!”

You nod, surprised. “Do you?”

“Yep! Enough to pay my tuition actually.” Hanna smiles. “But I was really hoping the Animation Club would help me pick out some mistakes in my style, you can only self-edit for so long before you start going mad.”

“Yeah, I’m still gonna get to that, don’t worry.”

Hanna nods. “In your own time, Gertrude.”

“Still,” you snap her finger at her. “You should definitely learn to play some sports or something. A healthy body is one that can endure. Speaking of which, I hope that basketball to the face didn’t hurt too much.”

Hanna shrugs, indifferent. “I’m used to it. Middle School sports was very unforgiving.”

“I understand.”

> Ask the History Club girls what to do

You pull up a chair next to the two of them. “Hey, girls.”

They both look at you curiously. Their most distinct feature was their bags underneath their eyes, which indicates that they probably stay up quite late. You don’t really want to know what they do though. You know these two as Jane Keegan and Jeanette Smith.

Jane adjusts her glasses and then says, “Need something?”

“Yeah!” You look down at their desk, and see their laptops. Their browsers are filled with tabs of scholarly articles on various topics. Not to mention the stack of textbooks the size of a dog. “I was kinda stuck on picking a Civil War of the 20th Century.”

Jane harrumphs. “Figures you’d think a little narrowly on the topic. How about the Korean War? Technically a Civil War between communist North Korea and democratic South Korea as well.”

You shrug. “Okay, that’ll do.”

Jeanette says, “Don’t forgot to cite your sources.”

You nod. “Yeah, we only need a minimum of five sources.”

Jane laughs. “Ha! Only scrubs do the minimum!”

You look at her skeptically. “Okay… you guys doing like 6 or 7 sources then?”

Jane says, “My bibliography consists of 72 scholarly works by well accomplished historians. Not to mention that I also cite my other papers on the topic so I don’t accidentally self-plagiaries.”

… Jesus.

Jeanette nods, smiling. “Indeed, Jane. I think we’re pretty much wrapped up with the issue of the Korean War. How many pages is your paper?”

Jane says, “32 pages, but I’m still adding on the annotated bibliography.”

You say, “But the minimum is only 6 pages.”

Jeanette and Jane laugh at your minimum. “As expected from some scrub who doesn’t learn from history. Do you even CITE YOUR SOURCES?”

“… yes?”

Jeanette scoffs. “I suppose you only have time for the minimum, considering you’re the Tankery Captain and all.”

“Actually, now that you mention Tankery. You think you girls might be interested? Tanks are extremely historical after all!”

They laugh at you.

Jane says, “Hahaha! You’re silly, we don’t have time for tanks! Especially when we could be out in the library learning about the past and what makes us tick!”

Jeanette agrees. “Yeah! Who needs tanks when you have HISTORY!”

“… but some of our tanks are actual history-“

Jane waves you off. “Pffft. That’s archaeological work. We of the History Club deal in brute force historical analysis. Sure, tanks are cool and everything, but it’s simply not our style!”

Jeanette giggles. “I bet she wouldn’t even get an A+ on her paper. Probably because she forgot to footnote her citations.”

“Or maybe because she forgot to cite her sources in the first place!”

They slap their knees and return to laughing. Okay, you’re getting a little mad. NO ONE INSULTS YOUR ADMITTEDLY SMALL INTELLIGENCE.

“Hey! I can totally get an A+ on this paper!” you point at Jane. “In fact, how about a bet? If I can get an A+ on this paper, you’ll join the Tankery Team!”

Jane nods. “Deal! It’s not like we have anything to lose anyway!”

FUCK IT, YOU STUDIED. MOVE BITCH GET OUT THE WAY BITCH.

You start on the easy stuff. Simply vocabulary, all that stuff you know thanks to your somewhat less than extensive studying last night. You blow through those vocabulary problems, either matching or scrambled words, with complete and utter ease.

Grammar however completely escapes you. BUT FUCK IT, GRAMMAR CAN KISS YOUR ASS. You breeze through correct conjugations, correct placement of words, and even proper usage of the imperative form of a word.

Soon enough, you’re completely done. In fact, you’re the first one done. You stand up and hand in your paper to the Professor.

Easy mode.

You decide on heading to the Command Tower first. You’re sure you’ll meet your staff there and then you can have all kinds of fun there too.

On the way there, you actually meet Octavia.

“Hey, Octavia. How are you doing?”

“How am I doing?” Octavia looks a bit pissed. Oh boy. This is a bag of worms you didn’t want to open. “Since we just lost half our budget, we’re now completely frozen on our ability to get lights together, get new electronics in, not to mention all the materials we need for the set, hell I can’t even find the money to patch that hole in our curtain! Other than that, my day is going fucking swimmingly! You know Ramirez has a boyfriend?”

You nod. “Yeah.”

“Yeah! Big fucking shock! Someone as quiet as her has a boyfriend, I distinctly remember her telling me she actually didn’t have one! Turns out she completely forgot she did have a boyfriend! What a fucking thing that is!”

You nod again. “Mhm.”

“And not just that, apparently Bolter got put in the brig again because she got in fight with Luciano. AGAIN. Jeez, I swear, those two should just get together and hate fuck or something, get it out of their systems! Would certainly be healthier than beating the living fuck out of each other if you ask me!”

“Yep.”

Octavia sighs. “Yep.” She looks at you, now completely calm. “How’s your day going?”

“Well, my day went well, I suppose.” You look at her, remembering something important. “Oh yeah, uh… since you lost that money, I figured I’d give back the 3,000 the Theatre Tech kids gave me.”

Octavia waves you off. “Keep it. You need it more than us.” You smile, but Octavia is all business. “No, I’m fucking serious. You need every cent you can get. You can’t even afford to buy one of those Stridsvagns on the Tankslist. I’d get one of those by the way, especially the ones based on the 38(t) chasis.”

You nod. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

Octavia nods. “Of course. You know, Bolter tells me you broke up the fight this morning.”

“Did she?”

“Yep.” Octavia pats you on the shoulder, smiling proudly. “Good on you.”

You shrug, blushing a little. “Oh, I have a little experience with breaking up fights… or fighting in general.”

“Yeah, Luciano ain’t gonna like you after that though.”

“Should I watch out?”

“Nah, she’s a lazy bitch.”

You arrive at the Command Tower. You can see Kate Knispel at the front desk, apparently with nothing to do.

“Hey, Kate.” You ring up the front desk. “You’re looking bored.”

Kate barely glances at you. “Well, well, if it ain’t Lafayette’s Tankery Commander. If you’re wondering, yeah your staff’s up in the Offices. They’re all ready for your so-called Strategizing.” She looks over at Octavia. “Octavia.”

Octavia nods at Kate. “Kate.”

You look in between them. They’re giving each other that look that says, “I know you but I’m not gonna acknowledge it.”

You chuckle nervously. “I see you two know each other.” They look at you. Okay bad choice of words. “Uh… Kate, since you’re looking so bored here, maybe you’d join us? Just to watch at least?”

Kate crosses her arms, looking at you skeptically. She glances briefly at Octavia, then back at you. “I don’t think so.”

You shrug. “Well, we’re gonna have free food. So, stop by anyway if you’re hungry.” You motion over to the stairs. “Come on, Octavia.”

Octavia and Kate continue trading looks, and then Octavia follows you up.

You arrive at the Sophomore Offices, and sure enough, your staff have arrived. Even Kitten’s lounging about playing on one of her generic portable game devices.

The Offices have been emptied out, save for enough chairs for pretty much everyone, a projector, and a screen for the projector as well. There’s also a table for snacks, which you and Octavia gravitated towards. You pick up some chips along with a few cookies as a well as a can of soda.

Octavia shrugs. “As I’ll ever be I suppose. I figure you already know Heinlein’s line up?”

You nod. “Very scary.”

Octavia waves you off. “Relax, Ace likes an even fight. Though, she has a very humorous idea of ‘even’.”

“How so?”

“Well, this one time in Middle School, we got called out by one of rival schools to an impromptu battle. Ace was one of the Team Commanders, so she decided on just bringing her Chaffee to the fight against four Panzer IVs and a Tiger.”

You raise an eyebrow. “That was even?”

>>
> Start the Meeting

“Alright, everyone take your seats and we can begin.”

You take a seat off to the side, in between Nancy and Kitten. Lisa has elected herself to the present the options in the strategy meeting. Kitten leans next to you and whispers, “So, you got a plan?”

… You actually completely forgot that you had to come up with one. Damn it.

“Yeah, sure I got a plan,” you say.

“You don’t have a plan,” says Kitten.

“Whatever, I’ll think of something.”

Ramirez dulls the lights and then Lisa turns on the projector. “Right, if I can have everyone’s attention to the projector, we can begin.” Lisa takes up a remote and clicks it. The first slide is of Robert A. Heinlein’s loadout, along with a few example images.

“These, are Robert A. Heinlein’s tanks.”

> ROBERT A. HEINLEIN MILITARY ACADEMY ROSTER
> M24 CHAFFEE (ELITE)
> M24 CHAFFEE (COMP. SPEC.) x 5
> M4A3E2 SHERMAN (COMP. SPEC.) x 5
> M4A3E8 SHERMAN (COMP. SPEC.) x 5
> M4 105mm SHERMAN (COMP. SPEC.) x 5
> M5A1 STUART (COMP. SPEC.) x 10
> M3 LEE (COMP. SPEC.) x 10

Everyone balks a little at the line up.

“Shit, how are we gonna fight that?” asks Samantha.

Octavia says, “Ace prefers even fights. So it’s not likely she’ll bring everything she has here to the table. So don’t everyone shit themselves.”

Everyone chuckles a little at that.

Lisa says, “Now, the M24 Chaffee is a definite, especially Ace’s Elite Chaffee. The rest are a complete mystery, but you can be rest assured that they will give us a tough fight.”

Cathy raises her hand. “What kind of match up are we playing?”

Lisa says, “The match up will be an ELIMINATION battle. The objective is simple, render inoperable all the opposing team’s tanks. If we’re going up against a line up like this, we’re going to need a good strategy as well.”

She clicks to the next slide, showing the map.

“This is the field of battle we’ll be having. As you can see, there’s a small town to the south and to the north east corner. To the direct north is a very thick forest, which is elevated slightly against the flat plains in the center of the map.”

Octavia says, “Now, there’s two ways I see of doing this. We can do it smart, or we can do it loud. The smart way would be to set up on that elevated position and try use the elevation to our advantage. We’re carrying a lot more firepower than you may realize, so you may be able to penetrate a Sherman from that kind of distance… from the side. If need be, you can use that northeast corner town as a fallback position, try and use chokepoints to sort of scatter them so you don’t have to fight them all at once.

“The loud approach would be to charge out into the open and use the mobility of our tanks to try and scatter them and break any formation they might try and achieve. Using guns like the SU-122 or god forbid the GMC in tandem with the fast tanks, we might be able to edge out a victory.”

Octavia looks at you. “It’s all your decision of course, Commander. You got a plan?”

We don't have full mobility with the Church and SU with us, so we'll have to make do with an ambush, then fall back to the town if the position is overrun.

The tanks with the loud paint job can do the luring for us.

Ambush team: Church, SU and maybe us and the SOMUA for having the default paintjob.

I like that plateau in the north centre.

We can make a stand there then depending on where the enemy comes from either use P3028 to get to the town or get into the forest. If we go town, we go ambushing, if we go forest, we just run like crazy because our tanks are painted and they won't have any camo at all.

So smart pretty much.

“Let’s go with the Smart approach. No reason to take any risks.”

“Righto. These blue lines here will be our positioning. We’ll have the Churchill and the SU-122 on that left flank, while everyone else is on the right facing out towards the flats.”

Anna raises her hand. “Question, what if they don’t go by there like we plan? What if they come in from a different direction?”

Octavia says, “That’s a very good question. We’re going to need a tank that’s fast and mobile enough to draw them into our line of sights. That means we need live bait.”

Everyone looks at each other nervously.

You order yourself a nice sandwich along with some onion rings and chicken tenders. Kitten just decides to share the chicken tenders with you.

You raise your hands defensively. “Just saying, you gotta put some meat on them bones. And I don’t mean that in an ignorant fat kind of way.”

“Hey, I’m gonna be honest with you Trudy. The minute you start becoming fat,” she reaches across the table and pokes you in the belly, “It’s game over for our friendship.”

“Aw,” you say, mocking pouting. “You’re hurting my feelings, Kitten. Stop it!”

Both of you giggle. Soon, the waitress brings you your food. Now that you look at the waitress, she seems kind of familiar. You point at her idly, “Do I know you?”

The waitress looks at you oddly, then she appears to recognize you. “Oh yeah, you’re Gertrude Pool.” She offers her hand, “Jeannette Rankin. We ran against each other in last year’s election.”

Oh fuck, at least she doesn't have to deal with the Tankery program. Can we get some backstory on what happened?

“Yeah, I remember you. Nice to see you again.” You shake her hand politely. “Was quite a close campaign.”

Jeannette smiles. “Indeed it was! Gotta say, you’ve got quite the force of character to get yourself elected.”

You shrug. “Oh, it was nothing,” you shyly smile. “Just a bit of public speaking and advertising as all.”

Jeannette crosses her arms, smirking. “Well all that public speaking and advertising managed to get you elected in with only a 2% lead.”

Was it really a 2% lead? Jesus fucking Christ that is close. You gesture over to Kitten. “Oh, this is my best good friend here, Carol. We all call her Kitten.”

Jeannette smiles, offering her hand. “Nice to meet you, Carol.” Kitten shakes her hand, shyly smiling. “I’m guessing both of you are in the Tankery Program?”

“Yeah, we actually have our match with Robert A. Heinlein tomorrow if you’d believe it.”

Jeannette gasps. “Heinlein? The Military Academy?” She whistles in admiration. “You guys are fucked.”

… Gee thanks.

“Anyway, I gotta wait other tables. I’ll be back later with the check.” With that, she leaves for work. Kitten looks at you.

She seems nice.

“Of course, you can’t become a Class President without being to someone in some capacity you know.”

Kitten shrugs, taking up a chicken tender. “I suppose that’s true.”

“Anyway, it’s time for some fucking dinner.” You rub your hands together, then pick up that oh so delicious sandwich. Now that you think about it, you should’ve gone to Five Guys. Oh well, maybe tomorrow after the match.

Kitten chews up a couple of chicken tenders. The chicken is warm, hot, and crispy but moist and chewy in the center. This sandwich you’re eating too is absolutely marvelous. This may be a pancake house, but goddamn it can cook other stuff just as well.

Now Kitten, just because even complete strangers to Tankery think we are fucked, just means our underdog complete victory will be all the sweeter!

You notice that Kitten seems to be eating her chicken tenders at leisurely rate. You decide that whatever is fixed needed to be fixed until it’s broken. “Hey, Kitten. Open your mouth.” Kitten looks at you, confused. “Open your mouth.”

She opens her mouth wide. You then tear off a piece of a chicken tender and then begin precisely aiming.

Kitten stops opening her mouth wide to say, “The fuck are you doing?”

“I’m gonna toss this piece of meat into your mouth, now open wide, here comes the train!”

“Very funny, Mom.” She opens her mouth.

You toss the meat directly into her forehead.

Kitten says, “I can see why you’re not the gunner.”

“Let’s try again.”

“How about no.”

You slouch, pouting. “Oh, fine. But you know, Kitten, men don’t like girls who talk back at them like that. Take Ramirez for example, she has a boyfriend.”

Kitten looks shocked at you. “She has a boyfriend!?”

“Yep.”

Kitten crosses her arms, frowning heavily. “How does she have a boyfriend and neither of us don’t?”

You recall your earlier conversation with Lisa. “I can probably figure out why.”

With that, your dinner is finished up without more incident. You decide on heading on over to Kitten’s place to sleep over. You justify it with: “You’re never going to wake up at 5 AM by yourself, dedication to the cause be damned. I’ll just wake you up myself.”

Kitten says, “Great, thanks, Mom.”

“You’ve been calling me Mom lately, Kitten, what’s up with that?”

“Because you’re treating me like your daughter.”

You hug Kitten from behind. “D’aaawww… that’s only because I care about you, Kitten! I want you to be successful in life, and be like those girls that others girls envy the shit out of.”

Kitten holds your arms as you hug her. “Oh fine.”

“You know the song, right?”

“What song?”

You inhale and begin singing.

Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life!
It’ll happen us every day, it’ll brighten all our way,
If we’ll keep on the sunny side of life!

I wonder what the turn out will be, it's Black Friday right? But it's a battle...
>>
>>28481013
Black Friday pretty much is happening on Thanksgiving this year anyway.

I just want Newegg/Amazon to have some good deals on monitors so I can finally run two displays.

Any speculations on how Ace would do it if she incorporates one other tank to the line-up that isn't a Jumbo or E8?

If they go for an extra Stuart or Chaffee, they could use their speed to harrass us while climbing up, allowing the rest of their tanks to take it faster than us.

If they bring a 105 with them, they might start bombarding us from range.

If they bring the Lee instead, I'm guessing 6 of their greenhorns need some combat experience.
>>
>>28481204
I'm honestly partially expecting her to try to 1v6 us.
>>
>>28481204
She won't bring out all the big guns maybe make it 6vs 6
>>
>>28481238
We'll come out looking like a loser whether we win or not, if that were the case.

We win? Big deal! It was 1v6!
We lose? You guys suck! Can't even take down 1 tank?

It'll all depend on how our school newspaper would spin it though.
Speaking of which, they sure are taking their time publishing their article.
>>
>>28481325
Win spectacularly or not, the newspaper club will still make us look like shit. Fredendall runs it, if I recall.

Which makes me wonder what's in it for her if we win? We should've taken her bet.
>>
>>28481434
More money for her to stea-uhh, reappropriate?
>>
>>28481434
>implying Fredendall would keep her end of the bargain.

She was probably putting up the money she just stole from the theater club for the bet.
>>
>>28481472
And you know whatever her side of the bet would've made things way harder on us.
>>
>>28481516
She would have spin the news as someone who gambles or puts us in a bad light
