The five Great Priests of Ligish meet in their secret chamber, far below the eerily quiet streets. The Blood Priest holds up a small sack. "The adventurers still loyal to us have found what we've been seeking. A relic from before the Flood, powerful enough to restore order in the city and restore fear in our enemies."He pulls out a heavy crystal of red salt with a faintly glowing scorpion preserved inside. "I have determined its use. With the proper ritual, this will turn a human girl into a monster that can topple armies. The younger the girl, the more potential the monster will have for growth." The others look on with interest. Other cities have been finding this kind of powerful magic and sending monstrous envoys to boast, causing widespread panic. "I recommend that we acquire some orphan girl and prepare the ritual without delay. Tomorrow will be more than enough time."The Bronze Priest shakes his head. "Nonsense! The warrior schools will not respect a girl who is not of high birth, who lacks the favor of the gods. Expecting them to fight alongside some street filth would sow even more disunion." It escapes none of the others that the Bronze Priest has a daughter he dotes over. The Gold Priest pounds on the table. "If it can only create one monster, we can't waste it! We have to train her in the art of war before she becomes too strong to be controlled. The ritual can wait, for years if need be."The Rain Priest makes a worried noise. "Not years, perhaps... but days, at least! We should take some time to search the poorhouses, slave markets, and willing volunteers. Then we take one that's suitably healthy and loyal. The Sand Priest wrings his hands. "Are we not going about this backwards, gentlemen? Rather than make a girl into a warrior, we could devise another blood ritual to turn our best warrior into a girl. That does not seem to be beyond our grasp. Remember when we turned that embezzling tax collector into a hyrax?"(Whose plan wins out?)
>>28420531>Trusting the Sand PriestHell no, that sandnigger should get right back into his hole.

>>28420739It gets better. Apparently we are turning a dude into a girl first, and the younger they are the more powerful they are.Genderbent monsterloli quest. I think this might be a new low for /tg/
Guys, how about we combine blood and rain and just pick some poor slave baby! And kill the parents so it doesn't get influenced and we can keep pretending it's been a scorpion all long.
>>28420725Actually, make that Gold and Rain. Blood... eh. It affords more chances to what I assume will be the PC, but Gold and Rain actually have some sorta method to their madness.
>>28420758Actually, I kind of like this idea.
>>28420758Brutal, let's do it.
The Sand Priest. You would literally have to be retarded to not go with the Sand Priest on this.
>>28420758I don't even know but if Bloodrain is an option I think we should take it.
>>28420809>Wringing his hands>Sand>That much of an obvious jewDid you even read the description?
>>28420739>>28420754I dont give a shit, so long as we get to peg someone with our scorpotail. And maybe some scorpoleg footjobs, too.
>>28420531After the other four priests are done blustering and pounding on the poor table, they settle down and have to admit that the Rain Priest is making the most sense. He may be the oldest and frailest, and his school of magic the least respected by the highborn, but dammit if he doesn't have some good ideas. The next day, the Great Priests send heralds throughout the city escorted by loyal guards from the School of Adventurers and the School of Petty-Wizards. "Attention, all true sons and daughters of Ligish! Your king requires a young woman to embark on a spiritual journey." The more prudent heralds add, "And this time we're not just looking for blood sacrifices. This woman will actually survive her spiritual journey! She will return changed and restore Ligish to glory. Let those who do not fear service report to the pyramid's outer plaza at midday tomorrow."The next day, crowds swarm around the pyramid, while guards organize a line of girls who have offered themselves. Some are women grown, others are barely old enough to walk, almost all look poor. Highborn girls from most of the nine rival Warriors' Schools pepper the line, though, as does the Bronze Priest's daughter. The five Great Priests finally show themselves, their heavy hoods shielding their faces from the high sun. "So," asks the Blood Priest to his peers, "What is most important to us? Strength? Knowledge of warcraft? Loyalty to the priesthood? Something else? I don't care personally; I just want to get this farce over with a and pick one before someone gets it in their head to assassinate one of us."
Guys, seriously......What kind of "Growth" are we talking here?I mean, how much is feeding a twelve story Mini-Kaijuess going to cost us?

>>28420914Well that depends on weather we're getting a Giant Scorpion Girl or not...
>>28420929I hadn't considered that, but it would make things a lot better.
>>28420864Loyalty and Youth. We don't want someone motivated by personal reasons (ie a certain blood priest's daughter) and we DEFINITELY don't want someone who can be swayed with money (ie richfags).Idealistic middle-income would be perfect.
>>28420929Question asked by this one stands. Are we going to end up with a giant scorpion woman or a normal (like... centaur) sized one?
>>28420962Indeed, so Blood, what kind of "Growth Potential" are we talking here?
>>28420914Yeah, but knowledge of Warcraft gives a female complete power of all nearby virgins and neckbeards. Imagine how much that effect will be amplified by monstertits.
>>28420864Go for the youngest and Sharpest of wit. One who will be able to learn warcraft and loyalty as she grows.

I just hope we get a girlcock out of this. A giant one would be nice, too.
>>28420864loyalty to the priesthood is most important to the priesthood, so that is my choice.the -actual- most important thing would be generalized ability to destroy the fuck out of...What are we making this thing to do anyway? the "flood"?
>>28421005I get the feeling we're going to be the typical RPG protagonist. IE, we're going to be doing EVERYTHING.
>>28420996pls noUnless you count the stingerWhich really isn't much of a cock
>>28420977Giant would make more sense, since a regular scorpiongirl could still probably die to a regular spear and that's a whole lot of money down the drain if that happens.
>>28420864"Loyalty!" Says the Bronze Priest without hesitation."Loyalty would seem the prudent choice," the Gold Priest chimes in. "A girl who cannot be bought. We have to buy enough as it is."The Rain Priest simply nods. The Sand Priest shrugs. "Loyalty is such a strong word... Gullibility. That word I like."The priests take their time to question each girl. The ones who are too young or ignorant to even know who the priests are or what the King's name is are thrown out of the line. The children of the Warrior Schools are likewise removed from the line because they've been quarreling with each other so much - the Footmen's School has even declared a curfew of their own accord, without permission from the priests or the King. One girl is identified as the daughter of that tax collector who got turned into a hyrax, and she too is shooed away. What remains is the Bronze Priest's pampered, slightly pudgy daughter and the older of the commoners and orphan girls. One of the older commoners claims to be a farmer's daughter and makes a very sweet declaration of love for the city and the gods. Another is the only commoner whose identity can be verified, a mason who works on the great public buildings and paints the statues by the front gates. The Blood Priest knows what at least one of his peers will have to say about this choice, so he doesn't even bother to ask and makes the choice for himself.
>>28421038>Unless you count the stingerA stinger is fine, too. Then they slowly go limp as we fuck em into submission.
>>28420864Prioritize youth and intelligence. We can teach how to fight, and loyalty can be molded over time by rewarding her for good behavior and hard work. But we can't make an idiot clever.
>>28421055Mason's daughter. She can build a better future......from bones.
>>28420990>>28420993I'd go with a cross between these two; A youngling showing great potential, but of a low station where it would otherwise be wasted.Really plays up the "You were destined to be here" angle......Of course, we still haven't gotten any clarification on how big she's going to get...>>28421038Indeed, no futa if we can help it...
>>28421055Mason. The 'farmer's daughter' is obviously lying.
>>28421055well, I say not the slightly pudgy daughter of the bronze priest. that's loyalty, sure... to the bronze priest.Fuck that guy.So choose one of the other ones.
>>28421055Simple, get them together and declare to them that it was decided that none of them were worthy. The first one to leave will be chosen, as she respected the choice of the priests.
>>28421055The Masons daughter can build an empire for her people.
>>28421055Farmer's daughter.Because making the wrong choice is fun.
>>28421100I gotta agree with just about everything here.

>>28421055Get like, five or six orphans and cast the spell on all of them at once to see what happens.
>>28421055Not the pampered one. Mason's daughter sounds good, the other one seems a bit fake, screw sweet declarations of love.
>>28421161Shit, I meant do THIS>>28421134>>28421134>>28421134>>28421134
>>28421134that's not to bad of an idea
>>28421156First on the priests' agenda is restoring order to the city and teaching the Footmen's School that they're not such hot shit. Next on their shitlist is the city of Turtak, a former tributary to Ligish who recently sent an envoy to declare that they're not going to pay tribute any more. And the envoy was a centaur. They tried to kick him into a pit, but he jumped over it and ran away.>>28421158She's both. She's given the easier tasks like statue-painting whenever possible, but child labor is alive and well in Ligish. She seems like the most popular choice right now, so we'll probably go with her if nothing changes.
>>28421134Unless it's the bronze priest's daughter, in which case we pick the next one to leave. Seriously, fuck that guy.
>>28421229Tell them they're all unworthy of the honour that may be bestowed on them.First one that leaves is who we take.Fingers crossed we get the Masons daughter.
>>28421229okay, so we're not trying to fuck over some vast plague of zombies, but instead warring citystates.I personally would take one of the commoner or orphan girls myself- I don't want to take someone from a parent.
>>28421239yeah, fuck the bronze priestHe's a dick who scratched my horse
>>28421239Nah. Let's just go with the Mason's daughter.
>>28421329Works for me.
>>28421268>fuck the bronze priestWith any luck, we will~
Now the author has to invent the thing the bronze priest did to make the blood priest pissed at him.Other than just being a general chode, which is possible.
>>28421229>>28421055The Blood Priest smiles and spreads out his arms. "We asked for brave and strong servants... and we got this rabble. You are all unworthy of the gods' blessing. Please leave. We will find a girl by some other means."The Bronze Priest's daughter looks at her father with a look that says "Seriously?" The others look at each other and hesitate a moment before turning their heads in defeat. But the first girl to leave the line is a completely different girl, an unknown orphan in filthy roughspun, who leaves first, turning tail and trying to run even before the Blood Priest's voice has finished echoing. She looks relieved.
>>28421355>She looks relieved. Then we shall choose, for we shouldn't give power to someone that seek it.
>>28421355>Relieved.NOPE.You don't get off that easy, have the guards grab her and bring her back, bring her a drink and ask her why she ran so eagerly? Does she not wish to serve her mighty state?
>>28421355See guys, that told us nothing.Let's just get the Mason and be done with it. As interesting as relieved girl's story is, she isn't a good candidate.
>>28421355Wonder why she was fleeing.I'll leave this choice up to the people who came up with the ask them to leave idea, since I'm clueless.
>>28421383>Then we shall choose her *Damn typo
>>28421383This it is always those who loathe power the most that are the best at wielding it.
>>28421389Seconding because otherwise we'll be here all day.
Sooooo, giant scorpion girl when?
>>28421383I can get behind that.
>>28421355GET OVER HERE. relieved girl has been chosen
>>28421452when we choose which of the girls to become a scorpion. And then 10 years later because she will be a small scorpion girl for a while.
>>28421467I hope we get to play as a molesty priest while she is scorploli
>>28421527Oh come on it would provide great character development for later. Hell, we could even instill that as a loyalty bonus in her. Teach her that doing a good job earns her a hard dicking.
>>28421560Oh god no please
>>28421355The Blood Priest barks an order to the guards. "Stop them." The other girls stop willingly, except for the Blood Priest's daughter, who hasn't even moved yet, and the reluctant orphan, who's still kicking and weeping even while a guard holds her up by the shoulders and carries her back."Forgive me for misleading you. Even priests have a sense of humor." The Blood Priest approaches the reluctant orphan. "What's the matter, girl? Don't want to go on an adventure? Don't want to be special?"She tries to kick the Blood Priest. "Not really! They made me go. I don't wanna leave my friends. I don't even know what this dumb thing is!"The Blood Priest laughs. Trying to hit him is a capital offense, but not when it's this funny. "You stay at a poorhouse, yes? They wanted you to go because they can't feed you all. They know that when you come with us, you'll never go hungry again. You'll be able to see your friends again one day. And even better, you'll be keeping them safe while you're away. You'll be keeping bad men away from them."She pouts. "I guess that's not so bad...""Good. Bring her in." The guard slings her over his shoulder and carries her to the pyramid. The Bronze Priest raises his voice in protest. The Blood Priest rolls his eyes. "When I want your opinion, you'll know it. This is our girl. Now the only question is where we're going to get a tubful of human blood for the ritual. We could empty the king's dungeons... or we could use the other volunteers. Minus your lovely daughter, of course. Unless you have any further objections!"
what the fuck.
>>28421566>>28421568>>28421591Quit being such pussies you know its a good idea. Besides, these are priests. It would be less realistic if they didnt get their pedo on.

Instead he turns to his daughter. "Go back to your guards and run along home, sweetie. It's for the best."The Gold Priest answers instead. "We have no shortage of prisoners. And we'd be doing a service to the city by bleeding the guilty rather than the innocent. Whether the blood of young virgins is really more magical, well, you would know better than I. That's not my kind of magic."The Blood Priest shrugs. "Well... for certain applications... but we can't have the people thinking that we're thoughtless butchers. I pride myself on being an extremely thoughtful butcher."The crowds gradually disperse. The Rain Priest notes that the "farmer's daughter" walks straight into the ranks of spearmen from the Footmen's School, and they walk away together. The adventurers and petty-wizards in service to the priesthood head to the king's dungeons, where they round up every murderer, thief, and rapist, plus a few men who were just out after curfew. While they're at it, they inform the weak young King of the city of what the Great Priests plan to do. He approves as though he has a say in the matter. The priests head back into the pyramid, surrounding the guard who carries the orphan girl. They ask her questions. "What's your name, then?"Her weeping seems to have passed, and she answers before telling the guard to turn her right-side-up again.(I'll accept names that sound Sumerian, Akkadian, or Babylonian, including any of the female names on http://www.peiraeuspubliclibrary.com/names/asia/babylonia.html )

She's dead, though.""Yes, I rather figured. Now, the attendants are going to clean you up, and the acolytes are going to teach you some prayers to Aruru. When the time comes, just step in the tub we give you and say the prayers, and before you know it you'll be bigger and stronger!"The Rain Priest leans in toward the Blood Priest. "Don't you think we should tell her the whole truth right away? This one is prone to tantrums, it looks like. Better for her to react before the ritual than after."

>>28422282we should at least tell her that she's going to change shape wildly.Or, failing that, position that cocksucking (insert whichever priest we aren't here) near the bath so he gets hit during the rage.
>>28422293>you didn't bring it up at the timeI sure as fuck did.>I believe in original-sin tainting. Then youre an idiot, given that this quest most certainly does not take place in an Abrahamic region.>>28422282Dont tell her.
>>28422282yeah might as well tell her. Let her yell it out before she gets a stinger.
>>28422282Well therein lies the rub; DO we even know what's going to happen to her?
>>28422305>>28422282No, otherwise she might change her mind.Keep it a secret.
>>28422282For sure.Do your thing, Rain priest. We've good veins to drain.
>>28422324no, seriously, can you link me to where you even -mentioned- tainted VS untainted blood arguments?Because the first I saw of it was after the decision with you boasting you would tell people so, which isn't how it works.
>>28422282"Eh, fine. Let us inform her of her new destiny to be a divinely powered protector of her homeland"
>>28422282Yes. Tell her, give her a little time to come to terms with it.
>>28422350Chargen isn't over yet.Who knows if the blood priest dips in non-tainted blood at the end?
>>28422373Well, he should still use prisoner blood, because the idea of blood being tainted by crime is laughable.Just make sure the prisoners aren't SICK prisoners.
>>28422387they're in death row
>>28422398that doesn't mean they're sick. Be on the lookout for bloodbourne disease.Double-certainly don't let anyone with fucking plague into the sacrifice. Who the hell knows what plague would do to the magic.
>>28422409I do. We get a Nurgle scorpion girl
>>28422426I am almost certain we don't want that
>>28422426>Giant disease ridden scorpion girl that cares about everyone
>>28422454Untainted blooooood. Only way to be sure.
>>28422466Man, do you know how filthy children can be?No no, we need to take some noble blood. THAT would be the most untainted.
>>28422475>>28422466also, on that note, I don't think bloodpriest can be trusted if you meet him in a dark alley
>>28422331In theory. The promise is something scorpion-ish that can destroy armies, which fits in with the scorpion-men of local legend.>>28422320You're not any of the priests, technically, but if you want some of them to betray the others, now would be a good time.>>28422282The Blood Priest rolls his eyes and awaits Hunzuu's reaction to the revelation. "Fine. The tub will be filled with blood, Hunzuu. If you want to change living things, it usually takes a lot of blood. And when the ritual's done, you'll probably have some significant scorpion features. Like claws and a stinger. You know, for hurting bad men.She acts like she's heard stranger things. "Blood? Like blood soup? I had that once. There's never enough soup for everybody, though. Maybe I'll get a whole big tub of soup and bring it back to the poorhouse!"The preparations continue on schedule. When an adventurer comes to the priests' quarters to announce that the tub of blood is ready, it's just past sunset. The ritual can begin. If the priests want to do anything in secret before creating their new champion, now is the time.
>>28422475Only noble children would untainted, I am willing to bet many adult nobles have STD commonly found in whores.
>>28422475But anon. She might go sith if she had people to love.Think of the ... Wait. Bad analogy.>>28422499Blood priest betray the others and add blood from... other sources.
I think we're over-thinking this. This is chargen. I seriously doubt the QM is going to fuck us over with something like tainted blood just because we weren't hyper-paranoid.
>>28422503so we're in agreement that taking street-urchin children is not the way to go, due to being FIIIILTHY
>>28422499>the priests want to do anything in secret before creating their new champion, now is the time.Nope, nothing comes to mind. Proceed with the procesure doc.
>>28422499Let's not fuck around with the ritual.
>>28422524honestly I'm just having fun while waiting for updates anon. And updates are here!>>28422499>bringing soup back to the poorhouseAs long as this poorhouse is in our city, she is going to be the loyalest.Let's maybe put a few of her childhood friends in the military, so she has quite a lot of cause to protect soldiers during our campaigns.
>>28422499Add the blood from scorpions into the mix. Ones with powerful toxins.
>>28422543>>28422525>>28422503you guys really care about this do you
>>28422499The ritual should go along normally. We don't expect anything to go wrong or to be unusual with this.Other than scorpioning. What do scorpions eat?Let's maybe get a few of those around in case shit goes nasty. Cakes too, in case she likes human food after.
>>28422567I just said I was having fun while waiting for updates, anon.Arguing about things like blood-purity-levels is what I come to /tg/ for.
>>28422551Now that is an interesting idea
>>28422591>>28422551I, too, am interested. But don't know shit about blood magic.Would this do anything, QM? Anything at all?
>>28422588understandable, but now we won't ever know what dramas could've popped up out of this.It would have been fun, no murderhobo intended, I mean the QM is going to kill a fuckton of prisioners anyway, isn't that murderhobo as well?
>>28422614I don't want to be killing peoples just to make more drama, anon.Heck, I don't even WANT to kill the prisoners, I just know that blood priest is going to because he's a dick.
>>28422603Perhaps also add blood from each of the priests. Blood magic may be able to impart some level control over our champion and adding the blood of those who wish to control her into the mix may make it easier.
>>28422638It's better than killing her friends. If they're on death row they will die anyway, so it's not like they had long fulfilling lives ahead of them.
>>28422638you are a gigantic fucking pussy.
>>28422649A good idea for the priests as a whole (assuming that IS how things work), but I am unsure if any of them would trust any of the others with this kind of thing. Though I might be reading too much paranoia into the priests.
>>28422649remember we're not the priests, we're the girl
>>28422674well, right now we're the priests. We're GOING to be the girl. One of those perspective shift things.I think.
>>28422689Right now it's more like character creation, I think, and the main game will come when we are done..
>>28422662yeah, that's why it's preferable to the friends. Better to kill death row folks than kids.Though I don't like either.>>28422663When it comes to things like this, absolutely.
>>28422664Hence why all of them add blood. I don't trust the rest of you, but we need to ensure control. This way we each have the same amount of control.
>>28422689we still are not the priests, but some sort of hivemind on top of them that after the ritual is going to settle in the girl>>28422714I agree with the other anon on you being a gigantic pussy.
>>28422674Right now we're protects
>>28422725you don't have to agree, anon, I just said I was the pussy.
Can I just ask, OP, what on earth made you come up with the idea for this quest? I mean, even by /tg/ standards, this strikes me as a little bit outside the norm. You have my interest though. Don't mind me while I lurk. I'm hoping for some kind of quest of acting as the priests' personal attack loli... Then turning on them and fighting to break their oppressive and bloodthirsty regime of terror, etc. etc.
>>28422756Give her a reason to go attack them.If they go all goodie "we're not going to kill her friends period" and treat her properly there's still some kind of possibility for her to be blinded by the state.I mean she opted into it pretty easily didn't she.
>>28422756really, how much we turn on the priests depends on how shit the priests are being to us, combined with how terrible the things they order us to do.We could conceivably be priest4lyfe if they just treat us well and do war against just soldiers and are nice to civilians and all that shit.fat chance
>>28422756He made it just to spite the dude who ran that lamia murder quest.
>>28422499Have the sand priest sneak in some of his blood. He seems like the type to do something like that.
>>28422805I am not sure spite is the emotion to describe this.Whatever bender was expressing when he claimed he would make his own theme park. With beer. And hookers.
>>28422499The prisoners are probably dead, unless those tasked with bleeding them happened to be extremely careful and merciful, because the large basin in the heart of the pyramid's ritual camber has more than enough blood in it to bathe an adult, let alone a child. Flickering torchlight reflects on its dull surface. As he recites the story of how Tiamat created the first scorpion-people, the Blood Priest decides to add some inventive additions to the admixture of blood. He adds a small crucible of fluid he squeezed out of a desert scorpion from his workshop, usually kept around for making antidotes He also adds a small cup of his own blood. The other four Great Priests and the three dozen acolytes chant prayers and contribute what magic they know to the cause. Finally, Hunzuu is brought out, wrapped loosely in silk, holding the ancient relic. She had a very simple recitation to memorize, but she messes it up a little. She keeps calling the goddess Aruru "Abubu." That probably won't affect the outcome, everyone hopes.
>>28422828>abubuOh my god that's adorable and/or terribleDepending on how it affects the ritual
>>28422828>>Probably won't affect the outcome.>Everything is going to go straight to hell, isn't it?
>>28422852I'm hoping Adorable...FEAR OUR GIANT ADORABLE SCORPION WARMACHINE!!!
>>28422861>the QM wrote about itit means everything is going to hell, anon.
>>28422499Add in myrrh and set the blood on fire to make her a flaming scorpion goddess. She'll be bathed in blood and flame to achieve the perfection that is the guardian diety of our country. All those that would oppose Hunzuu shall be burnt to ash.I'd also like for the ... bronze priest to put some of his daughter's blood in the mix.
Look on the bright side guys:The god's REAL name could be abubu and it could be the -priests- who have been fucking it up.There's a non-0 chance of that.
>>28422781>>28422792Yeah, we aaaaall know how this is going to end, don't we, boys and girls? I mean a religion that reveres scorpions, uses baths of blood for their rituals (performed at night, of course) and is run by a cabal of the high priests of the city, who seem to be highly ambitious and ready to kill to seize and maintain power? That TOTALLY sounds like a nice group of people who are going to love and care for the people and treat their monstrous chimera of an innocent girl and a venomous, desert predator with love and respect and not use her as a tool to carve a trail of death and destruction, strewn with the corpses of their enemies, military, political and philosophical, in her wake! And honestly, if you were an orphan, offered a chance at a better life for you and your friends, in a pseudo-Mesopotamian fantasy society, ruled over by a powerless autocrat and the power-hungry priesthood and nobility, you'd volunteer lickity-split too!
>>28422886I like the poison better, myself.Though for some reason I associate poison with being able to make burning acid. It comes up a lot in RPGs.
>>28422900Yeah, these guys seem 100% legit. No way they'd turn out to be bad guys!Inconceivable!
>>28422900well>>28422922they're pretty legit
>>28422828>Aruru "Abubu."No need to know the goddess's name so long as her spirit lies within your heart. How old is those one anyway?>>28422906I'd prefer cleansing by fire. Poison doesn't equal acid. However having fire/sun element added to the mix we'd be a scorpion of light/fire/shadow, and our poison would burn in our enemies' veins.
>>28422828>She keeps calling the goddess Aruru "Abubu."Welp, maybe she will turn into something else.
>>28422828Hunzuu steps into the basin of blood, hesitant but without the need for force. Up to her knees in it, she turns to the priests. "It's cold. When do I - Ow!"She slips and falls into the deeper center of the basin, immersing herself. The ancient salt crystal breaks open, and the dull red light from the scorpion inside it turns into a blazing column of light that fills the room. The preserved scorpion disintegrates, the blood boils, and everyone is blinded and terrified for a moment. When the light fades, the chamber is in total darkness. The torches have gone out. There is only the sound of pointed legs skittering on wet stone as you find your balance. You are Hunzuu, and you are an abomination that the world has not seen since before the great flood. What do?
>>28422943well, it sounds like a cool idea, but now that I am looking into it what the hell even is myrhh and does it make blood flammable?
>>28422955Look at self.>What the fuck>I did not sign up for this
>>28422955>What do?Devour the blood priest.Demand his sacrifice for our loyalty.
>>28422955Scream like the little girl you are.
>>28422955Look at selfHoly shit this is awesome
>>28422955"I think I tripped"
>>28422955Be abominable, panic at own reflection.
>>28422986>>28422973>>28422985>Look at self>scream>Did not sign up>but this is pretty cool
>>28422805And also because he was bemoaning the fact that his fetish was under represented in most monstergirl quests.
>>28422971It's associated with the phoenix legend. Would also make some sense for the area.>>28422955"I'm.. beautiful..." test our new form, maybe kill one of the priest's as we test out our tail. Innocent play, the dance of a dangerous being.
>implying we can do any of these"C-can someone light the torches again?"
>>28422955spend time processing what happened, then, upon discovery of our new form (something which illumination should reveal) mildly panic, possibly attempt to learn how to control our new form... this of course assumes that the physical change did not also create a mental one....
>>28423014Most scorpions are nocturnal. We should be able to see.>>28423006I'd like to kill one of the priests, by accident. No preference to which one.
>>28422955We should probably attempt to find some light, if we can't see in the dark.
>>28422943Depends if the goddess is feeling merciful and/or amused. We could end up with that most badass of all monsters: One that can shift between forms. A human with the aura of the most deadly predator of the sands, reflexes like the scorpion's flashing tail and venom ever ready to fly from her fingertips; a tiny, mottled scorpion with enough venom on its stinger to slay a dragon; and the true form of the monster - a mighty chimera with the torso and arms of a young girl and the lower body, claws and tail of a dead beast.Fire, darkness, venom, blood, the razor shards of glass that comes when sand is made molten and cools... There's all kinds of things a divinely-warped demigod-being could wield... In time. At first? Zuu is still a young girl. But she will learn. Oh yes... She will learn.
>>28422955Masturbate with tail
>>28423037>>28423006Let's leave the accidental priest murder for the QM to decide when it happens.because it WILL happen. But I want it to be a surprise.
>>28422852We're gonna need more blood
Is it just me or is this quest really fucking boring?
>>28423055the QM already showed us that we wouldn't get cool things.the priests will probably live.
>>28423062We could scorpionhug some priests.
I'm going to second whatever vague motions of panic and/or shakeyness are roaming around. We should be uncertain on the new legs.Yes, I am seconding this over the other two plans I provided, so sue me, I am indecisive.
>>28423077I'm having good times.>>28423084oh pish posh, just because the younglings weren't murdered doesn't mean there won't be a violence. There was a lot of violences, in fact.
It doesn't really matter what we do, since everything will just go according to plan anyways. No suspense, no action, no drama, all the characters are walking stereotypes, this quest way too fucking dry.
>>28423107it could've been a great step to having a "don't mess with nature" theme and whatnotbut hey who cares, there's still plenty of blood ahead
>>28423132yeah, I look forward to it. Sad that some people seem to be stuck on the decision, though.Arguing is fine, but it's polite to accept when things shift another way and let it go, to make room for the next argument.
>>28423123This was chargen, we have yet to actually hit the meat of the quest. Hopefully, that should occur now.
>>28422955Though you certainly feel like you're higher up than before, you're still a little girl, and you don't feel right. Maybe you should have taken the funny old men more seriously when they said what was going to happen to you. You panic a little and scramble sideways across the chamber until you slam into a wall. You scream. An acolyte re-ignites one of the torches, and you finally see yourself. You scream louder. From the waist down you are a completely unrecognizable chitinous horror, with eight legs, two claws, and a segmented tail. Your lower half is the size of a big draft horse.Whoa, and you're stronger than you were before. You totally crushed someone against that wall without even feeling him there. But it was just an acolyte, so nobody seems to mind. Everyone falls to their knees and praises all the gods."I'm sorry..." you say, "I tripped..."They cheer for you. Some of the acolytes call you beautiful. The Sand Priest laughs joyously. The Blood Priest just smiles at you proudly. You don't understand. "I only wanted to hurt bad men..."
>>28422955[x]come to no consensus, and just sort of mill about confusedly a bit getting used to thingsThis seems to be accurat
>>28423156God, this is gonna be a moe monsterloli quest, isn't it?
>>28423156Are we naked? Ask for something to cover our shame. What next? What do they want us to do? Where will they ask us to go?We should've picked the "farmgirl"
>>28423156>did not kill priest>killed acolyte insteadI -told- you guys we didn't have dark vision.Well, at least not yet.Still, exactly what I wanted.Maybe uhGet away from that acolyteWhoops
>>28423156Demand a hug and some hot chocolate (mayan style, with hot peppers).
>>28423156Oh boy, will she hurt a lot of men.We can still roll for the "good vs good" or "evil vs evil" motifs. I hope. Or at least something beyond moe monstergirl where everything goes according to the plan.
>>28423196I say we eat the Acolyte, we need an unnatural taste for blood to drown out our innocence.
>>28423195yeah, we should probably get some clothes. Even if we're not naked, we're COVERED in blood.Wait.We're covered in blood. Can we like, wipe that off? Also,[x]continue to be confused as to why people are cheering you destroyed an acolyte[x]be hurried away by priests to do whatever they have in store
>>28423206>Oh boy, will she hurt a lot of men.Likely not.
>>28423201Yes. I would like some hot chocolate.(Bonus: also tastes like blood mayan style)A hug too, but I don't think anyone will comply with that one.
>>28423156Oh well. I'm sure alternate forms will come along later. As will basic motor skills.I wonder how much OP reads before each new instalment though..? I need to type faster, if I want any kind of response.
>>28423256We are gonna autosage before the quest even begins proper, anyways.
>>28423256good point. How are our basic motor skills?
>>28423247>HugBonus, we end up killing whoever complies with the strength of our claws.Seriously, if this is gonna be moe, I at least want grim-moe.>>28423256Hopefully more thsn he is now, this seems to be catching on.>>28423277Even autosage takes a while
>>28423277Just make the OP make a second part.
>>28423299I agree with grim-moe, but I disagree with corpse eating right off the bat.Much more in character to simply eat a lot of blood pudding. But man crushing is A-OK.
>>28423299>this seems to be catching on.Looks more like its tapering off.
>>28423328we seem to have the same three guys we've been having. If you don't count red white and britfag. We're just not arguing any more.
>>28423156The silks you were wearing over your top half are still fine. You shamble away from the dead acolyte and bend down to brush the gore off your side. The Blood Priest takes charge of the situation. You see now. He's the boss of them, even if the others don't want to admit it. "Of course you did! Don't worry, that was just an accident. When you're ready we can get to killing the real bad men, starting with those upstarts at the Footmen's School. There's some food prepared for you in the banquet hall upstairs. Don't worry about breaking anything up there. Just get used to your own strength. I've also hired the armsmaster of the Adventurers' School to give you lessons in war and combat. He's in the armory two levels up. But he'll be here until I give him leave to return home. Why, if you feel prepared, you can even go up on the terrace and start striking terror! They will know you, my dear. They will fear you." You're a little sick of having this guy tell you what to do. On the other hand, going upstairs for some real food does sound good.
>>28423299>I at least want grim-moeNope! Screw you, we are going full on dissonance here! Dark world, light character. We're going to be an adorable, awkward monster girl, kick a bit of ass and still somehow cling onto our innocence. No killing anyone who's not a 'bad person' (at least, not to our knowledge anyway). Also, does Zuu still have hands and arms, with claws lower down? Or has she forever lost the use of opposable thumbs?
>>28423348>we seem to have the same three guys we've been having. We had a lot more for a while, but then the whole thing died off once it got all moe.
>>28423354[x]get foodGetting snacks is always the highest priority.
>>28423366>implying the QM will keep the world dark after this
>>28423366>We're going to be an adorable, awkward monster girl, kick a bit of ass and still somehow cling onto our innocence. No killing anyone who's not a 'bad person' (at least, not to our knowledge anyway).Oh fuck off, you already have AoPH for that faggotry.
>>28423368I didn't notice that at all. Though, I dislike the meta talk, so I may be done with it for a bit.>>28423366I hope we still have hands. Otherwise, banquet is gonna be tough.
>>28423354Food for the Scorpion girl? I wonder what they have assembled. Still, seeing as we were poor, it's likely to be better than anything we have ever eaten before. TO FOOD!
>>28423404>>28423400I am glad we all agree food is always highest priority.
>>28423354>Food...do we need to eat more because we're so much bigger? Does that mean we get to eat more? Does that mean we get to eat more in one sitting then we've ever seen in our lives?...AWESOME
>>28423354[x] Food.We starving orphan, yo.
>>28423354Lets go kill the footmen, I guess.
>>28423366This>>28423368I want this to be goddess incarnate or horrible bloodthirsty monster with human tendencies. She can be innocent in her own way so long as she doesn't understand what's wrong with drinking the blood of humans down the line.>>28423354The Blood Priest is annoying, ask an acolyte to escort you, if they're nice enough they'll be our personal servant. The only one we don't eat.
>>28423417I like the way you think.
>>28423354Lets go figure out what we can eat. Can we feel our stomach in our "upper" or "lower" body?
>>28423366I still feel the need to manifest that this whole thing could've been better so far.I'd rather have a fragile girl than a moe oblivious girl. The first one is at least somewhat relateable.
>>28423450I don't even know what you are arguing any more, but would like to listen to your take on a fragile girl, as it sounds interesting
>>28423450>a fragile girl than a moe oblivious girl. The first one is at least somewhat relateable.Very true. A fragile girl that eventually gets strong and learns how to control the beast. We're like a werewolf except arachnids are more terrifying.
>>28423464I figure we'll accidentally crush people basically whenever we fall down the stairs.I don't know about you people, but I fall down the stairs a lot.
>>28423417We have a 1000lb body to maintain (an adult draft horse being around 2000lb), which mean we probably need the equivalent of 12500 kcal each day, 5 time what a human of 200lb should eat.
>>28423450This. The idea is neat, but the execution thus far has been pretty dull.
>>28423461Right now >>28423366is defending a rather empty character. From the initial description, we get a girl that wants to protect her friends. Wants to help people, kill the bad guys. Strong motivations since they're her family. All we got so far is a "oops i tripped" instead of a horrified "What have I done" which is what a real human being in that situation would probably do.Then her dealing with her being a monster. And maybe if the "kill her friends for blood" had been taken, personal development on how to deal with that, was protecting everyone really worth the lies of the priests? Were they really their goals to protect the people or was there an agenda? You know. Some kind of clue other than "I'm an abomination, now I'm acting cute even when I should be freaked out"
>>28423489>200lb humanWe were like, a starving orphan. Probably a fourth of that.In short, we're eating like 20 times what we normally do, and it is amazing.
>>28423392>AoPHWho what what?>>28423354Incidentally, what kind of scorpion are we talking for the lower body? Colouration, spines, or lack thereof, etc.?>>28423433I always prefer the opposite. Plus, remember that botched invocation? Yeah, that doesn't seem like the invocation that would create a bloodthirsty monster, to me.Why not innocent and inherently good... But prone to bloodlust in battle and lapsing sometimes into the cold, ruthless mind of a predator? Wouldn't it make for a delightfully jarring shock, as Zuu fights to maintain her sense of self, against the monster she has become? And whether she wins or loses that fight, well... That's up to the Quest Master and the choices the players make, isn't it?>>28423450whynotboth.jpg
>>28423508Goddamn, you have some shitty opinions.
>>28423504Your point, as I can read it, only convinces me of one thing[x]be unsettled at that whole acolyte incident
I wonder if we have an upper limit on size? As currently whilst we might be terrifying, I really don't see how we could take on armies. Irrespective of training. An enormous scorpion girl however, I can see routing armies
>>28423506And don't forget we're young, so we're still growing, so we're going to eat a king's banquet of food in a sitting and it will only get worse/more awesome. We're not even picky as long as we're being fed food.
>>28423489Or we're magic, because magic happened.>>28423499I feel like we need prompts. You always start off a quest with prompts.>>28423508>>AoPH>>28423508>Why not innocent and inherently good... But prone to bloodlust in battle and lapsing sometimes into the cold, ruthless mind of a predator? The MC is getting exactly like that, except in setting it's pretty much approved.
>>28423504I actually agree... I'm just waiting on OP to have that sink in. Right now, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that Zuu's riding the wave of the transformation and still not fully to grips with what counts as 'reality' yet.>>28423512And yours are better? >>28423571I would be ok with that.
>>28423578>>28423546can't we all just get along slightly more than we are getting along now?
>>28423571Take it to /d/, dude. You will never be a woman, faggot
>>28423571Oh great GODS I hope not. That shit rates pretty highly on my list of Things RW&Bfag Wishes He Had Never Learned About. That's a pretty exclusive list, as it only includes things where there is no lesson to be learned from them and every moment spent considering them is a moment wasted making my life measurably worse.
>>28423354You still have human arms in addition to your new claws. That's good.Without another word, you make your way past the priests and acolytes and up the sloping hallway toward the old banquet room. This used to be where the priests received the king when he came to pray, but he doesn't do much of that lately.Nobody was completely sure how you'd turn out, so they laid out everything they guessed might satiate you. There's human food, like plain flatbreads and porridges, trays of delicacies, and some cakes and raw honey, as well as a sack full of rats, some honeyed locusts, and a whole corner of the room full of sides of raw meat. There's also clothes for a highborn human girl, some armor for the top half of a human, and enormous bolts of cloth for wrapping up a monster of any shape. The temple cook, a young man who walks with a hunch, waves to you as he drags in another skinned goat. He looks like he's seen some weird shit to rival you.
wait wait wait>go up on the terrace and start striking terror>they will fear youCould you repeat that priest man? I thought the OTHER guys would fear us, our people were supposed to like us!
I feel a great disturbance in the force. As if someone likes something someone else doesn't like...and they respond by shitposting in an argumentative nature.Whilst I am aware of Freyala, magical realm that it is, I feel this quest wouldn't be served by such thematically similar ventures at this stage. Lets keep adorable until we can't.
>>28423523Everyone else is thinking on what action should she take instead of the way she acts. The girl has no personality so far than being a vessel for a moe monstergirl so far instead of sinking in the fact that this whole thing is very fishy. After being turned into a monster, it's pretty likely not only that you'd freak out, but that you'd full on lash-out on people that didn't tell you this- you were given no information other than a bath of blood a girl was oblivious of. Which is odd. Then you just carry on killing someone accidentally, and say "oops. oh hey food time"
>>28423612>...Just get out, faggot.
>>28423624UhCan we have one of those cakes? Please?
>>28423636Lets not forget that this is someone who didn't want to be part of this whole thing to begin with. Her characterization is horribly inconsistent thus far.
>>28423624>>28423642Absolutly not, we start with the meat first. Roasted, of course.
>>28423624>Eat all the sweets then go on to the raw meat.
>>28423624It the raw goat it looks delicious. The cake? Ehhh, not so much.>>28423636I agree. Everyone in the room should've died.
>>28423648>>28423636Let us try to take food back to our orphan friendsLord knows there's enough here
>>28423624Locusts and raw meat, with some cake for dessert.
>>28423624wave back and start on the food. try anything that looks appealing...also, what is our capacity to manipulate our lower body like at the moment? Do we have full dexterity with it, or are the movements clumsy and difficult?when we move our arms, do our claws attempt to emulate them?
>>28423667because, to samefag some, I feel like a main motivation has been to take care of orphanfriends
>>28423667How about we just terrorize someone into taking food back for us and start flexing our power.
>>28423637Is this a thing now? Hating ellipses? No offence, dude, but that has to be the single pettiest thing I've seen all day and I've seen the League of Legends forums!>>28423595I'm perfectly happy to remain civil. Just so long as everyone agrees that everyone's ideas and input for a collaborative, public act of story-telling, are equally valid. With the exception of pure fetish-play and Mary Sues. They can fuck RIGHT off.>>28423625>>28423636I'm going to second this, here. As much as Zuu is a vessel for the players, she has her own personality. If she doesn't automatically freak out, or notice that something's not quite right here, there should at least be a roll to suppress trauma, or something? This level of body horror is some serious sanity loss!
>>28423695well, because I think trying to walk through the streets and facing PANIC would be more interested. But as long as the motive is get food to orphans, I don't really care how we go about it.
>>28423667sounds okay, but then the "wait i'm a monster now what would they think" instinct kick inif you had been turned into an abomination that might be completely unrecognizeable would you just carry on to see your friends after killing someone?
>>28423695Or better yet, use our influence to have them raised by the priests.
>>28423667>>28423687Agreed, we're doing this for our friends, they might as well enjoy some of the perks.
>>28423624Ask him if he has any pancakes.

>>28423624Can you please keep posting pictures with your updates? I keep losing you in the seas of shitstorms. Also Brown girls and Scorpiongirls are cool.

>>28423749yeah, I'm enjoying it so far.
>>28423763OP didn't describe that.
>>28423624>Eat until we are sated. Start with the human stuff...consider the meat...
>>28423763>I think she's in shock, hasn't fully come to grips with what has happened.Maybe op should have made some sort of indication of that, then.
>>28423775yes.Start with human things.Move on when they aren't good to the more exotic ones.
>>28423729I see your point. But honestly, that's not to say ellipses can't be used effectively. They can be indicate someone's speech trailing off; or used to raise dramatic tension; or when someone is interrupted, although personally, I prefer a hyphen in such situation. The issue comes when they are over-used. It's just a personal peeve of mine when someone hates on an artefact of bad writing, or storytelling, without considering the context and how it is applied in its present state. I mean, what next? Hating colons for their over-use in terrible fanfiction titles?
>>28423798And ND always overuses ellipses, hence people hating on him.
>>28423729It took forever to read that sentence.
>>28423749For a shitstorm discussion has been fairly civil.
>>28423798Christ, get off your namefag high horse and fuck off. Or at least quit shitting up the thread.
>>28423773>>28423786OP hasn't described her much at all, denial just seemed like a plausible explanation for her lack of obvious reaction.
>>28423817yeah. Though I liked the blood shitstorm better.I forsee a bright future for this scorpionbuttquest. I'm enjoying it heartily.
>>28423830>I'm intentionally being a faggot so people will pay attention to me!Go shit up some other thread pls.
>>28423830Okay, that was actually one of the times when a single period would have sufficed. Just saying.>>28423752>>28423819You know, I never have any problems with posting with a name, until someone decides to cause a fuss about it. I realise by responding, I'm handing you the victory here, as I'm clear an "Attention whore who feels the need to defend myself," but ask yourself... Did anyone else in this thread have a problem with it, until you decided to take issue? Food for thought, I would say.>>28423763Maybe OP's wary of falling into purple prose? It's a common trap for writers: You use too little and people start questioning the story, as we are now. Meanwhile, if you use too much, the writing becomes an impenetrable fog that no-one wants to read through to find what's actually HAPPENING.
I just look forward to eating those cakes.Whether or not they are good or disgusting requiring us to get to the meat.
>>28423913Innocent anon, trying to enjoy his moe monstergirl quest. Oblivious to the discussion around him. Rather adorable.
>>28423899>this Moe Monstergirl quest...No, fuck you. It wasn't moe from the op. It wasn't moe like 5 posts in, it's not moe. I don't want it to be moe, I want it to be a monstergirl with monster problems.>>28423913I want us to eat meat. Raw meat.
So, how big, exactly, is the scorpion half compared to the human half?
>>28423903>Did anyone else in this thread have a problem with it, until you decided to take issue?I did since you always get all whiny like this, but I was trying to ignore you since you always shitpost and whine whenever people point this out to you.
>>28423932draft horses are huge. Our scorpbits stand as tall as a full grown man. Also: we forgot to give a clothes input guys.I say the noble clothes.
>>28423899>blood rituals>ritualistic murder>forced transformation>murdering a random bystanderTotally moe, mang.Or youre just a faggot trying to force his fetish on the thread.
>>28423624You go straight for the sweets. They're amazing. Better than anything you've had before in your life as a wretched filth-covered nobody. And your appetite is bigger than you thought it was.The cook sets down the raw meat and starts politely making his way out of the hall. "Will that be all, my lady?"What's that supposed to mean. "Is that all you're gonna say?" You ask.He backs away a little. "What do you mean?""You're not freaking out? You're not screaming or crying or running away?"He chooses his answer carefully. "Why would I? You are our honored guest."You get a little worked up inside. "Because I'm a monster! I'm a big creepy bug, and I just killed a guy for no reason!" As you say it, it starts to feel more real. Oh, gods, why? Maybe the one who really wants to freak out and run away is you.
>>28423962>Yes, noble clothes, let us feel pretty. Then let's rip the skinned goat in half with our claws and feast once we've finished the human food.
>>28423899Don't respond to him. It's bait. Also: Yeah, you've used your allowance of ellipses for the month. Try and see if you can go until December without using any more. You'll find it helps you be taken seriously.>>28423913>>28423927...You know what? Yeah, I'm done arguing pointless bullshit. Let's keep playing. And I don't know... (Appropriate use of ellipses, shut up), much as I don't want to see this go full grimdark, I think 'Moe Monstergirl Quest' might be a BIT strong for the setting we've been presented with. I like moe, but it has its place and this isn't exactly it. Let's not try and swing to extremes here, okay?
>>28423962That is bigger than I thought. And noble clothes, yeah. let's go with that.>>28423976>The metaphorical other shoe drops... now.
>>28423976There it goes.Though I'm not sure where we would run to even if we ran, so it would result as running in circles if anything.Anyway, I suggest considering getting food to our friends, but after we calm down.
>>28423976wait for his response, freak out, but dive into food until we are sated. Maybe all this good food will also make us feel better
>>28423929Zuu isnt a raw meat eater... yet.In the long run its probably most efficient but well... baby steps. She was a perfectly normal, if slightly dense, human girl just minutes ago.Suddenly having to consume tonnes of meat just to live? That's a monsterGIRL problem.
>>28424000>Calling others bait when youve been baiting people all alongSubtle.
>>28423976Let us talk with this chef...talking about things often helps, and we still need to accept what has happened to us....
>>28423964>>28424007Waiting it to settle in...
>>28423976See, now the characterization is just more erratic. Find an angle and stick with it already.
>>28424010Yes, drown our anxiety in food...>>28424007...Then take the leftovers to our friends back at the orphanage.
>>28423976The only reaction I can think of for this is moping.
>>28423976Continue eating like damn glutton.
>>28423976Keep eating. Ask the chef's name.
>>28424042More likely is a panic attack, which may level the dining hall if we are the kind of person who flails around when panicking.
>>28423964>>blood rituals>>ritualistic murder>>forced transformation>>murdering a random bystanderAll of that. I'm into that. No Moe. >>28423987>Then let's rip the skinned goat in half with our claws and feast once we've finished the human food.I love you.>>28423976Make the goat eating next. It'll taste better than the cakes.>>28423976Running away is a hard to write plot-end. Let's talk to the young man, get his name, number and maybe we'll ask him what the choicest cuts of meat are. Maybe hold his hand and not eat him?For now we keep eating to try to avert mental breakdown, scream at the priests later when they show up.>>28424060I like this too. We wreck everything and maybe kill him by accident, then we can start full on sobbing.>>28424000You'd like AoPH.
>>28423976Whatever we do, even if we rampage, don't run over that chef.he made us dinner.
>>28424047>>28423976Keep eating until the idea of that you're no longer a human sets in your head. They didn't tell you that. You just killed a man. Your friends will probably hate you out of fear.Just let that idea rest there for a bit while engulfing food.Yes, the proper characterization should settle in at any moment.
>>28423945>alwaysEh? It's been months since anybody took issue with it though. I think you've mistaken me for someone else.>>28423976Aaaand THERE it goes! Now lets's see how things go.By the way, OP, you might want to consider adding a greentext indicator, or something, when you expect the players to act, otherwise it could get confusing.
>>28423976This>>28424076>greentext indicator, or something,Greentext at the end of the post is something that you'll usually only see on the QM's posts. makes them distinctive, even without pictures.
>>28424076actually a good point:a symbol of some sort to denote player input time might be nice. Alternatively, a specific message for when a post is NOT accepting player inputs, like (continued) or something.>>28423976
>>28424039Well maybe we shouldn't have made such a fuss over the Quest Runners previous entry lacking properly expressed freaking out...Of course the characterization will be eratic if he flipflops every time someone whines about it.
>>28424069Seriously, what the fuck is AoPH?And speaking as someone's who has both seen and suffered a breakdown/panic attack in action, eating should be the LAST thing on Zuu's mind! When the world just over-whelms you in one titanic wave, like that, you don't want to do anything else but panic. Some people retreat into a corner, or somewhere familiar; some people flail and thrash and shout; some people become extremely nervous and high-strung, but nearly all the time, thoughts of mundane things, like eating, or continuing whatever you were doing at the time, pretty much vanish from your mind. Your brain just locks itself into a spiral of panic and fear, until either someone helps guide you out of it, or you hit rock bottom and level out on your own.
>>28424099Hey, I'm highly interested in this quest, which is why I'm trying to give it some constructive criticism, because I want it to go from "interesting" to "amazing".And any quest runner that makes something that generates this many responses, well, you get the idea.
I may not be the pest one to describe human sadness
>>28424123...You know not everyone will react to anxiety the same way, right?I figured eating would be something a starving Orphan would do to avoid thinking about the subject at hand.
Guys just filter the nameshits.
>>28424123>Namefag is also a... uh...Damn, what kind of fag should I call you?I know!>Alert, Namefag is also a Lifefag.>Dispensing assholery.>Bite me, mofo.
>>28424137>And any quest runner that makes something that generates this many responses, well, you get the idea.I disagree. Most of the responses were based on a post by anon, not the QM, and the rest were just meta shitflinging and namefag attention whoring.
>>28424123Some people eat when they're anxious.
>>28424160Let me ask, do people actively discuss something they're not interested in?
>>28424162Exactly!We've acquired our first character quirk, Compulsive Eating.
>>28424123Attack on Pokemon HunterIt's about a post-apocalypse world in which all pokedex entries are true, humans live safely in domes that are defended with technology and people known as "rangers."Rangers are the only ones that venture outside of the dome, surviving by using freaky science in which they graft monster parts into their bodies to use their abilities and metamorphosing biology. The MC is an adorable little seel girl that's innocent despite the fact that her position demands her to become a monster to fight monsters and face the deaths of her friends, people that she's trained with. It's pretty good and run by an established QM, though you'll want to avoid some of the pokesperging in the threads.
>>28424178Does /tg/ sperg out over the smallest of things and argue for the sake of arguing?
>>28424212not /tg/ specifically, but more like the entire internet.
>>28423976Anyway, you going to continue?
>Holy shit, this thread has broken 400 replies and still rising>>28424155What the crap does that even mean?>>28424151>>28424162A valid point, but there's a world of difference between anxiety eating and the realisation and admission that something utterly catastrophic as occurred in your life and nothing is ever going to be the same again, EVER. The very idea of a breakdown, is that it occurs when normal coping mechanisms, such as stress-eating, have failed and the dam has broken.>>28424144That's a damn good representation of most panic attacks I've seen.
>>28424212Yes, yes we do.Sometimes it is an endearing trait.Other times it is less fun.
>>28423976The cook wipes the blood off his hands. "Sorry to hear that. But you're no worse than them. The things that happen in here... but I shouldn't talk."You stuff your face. You don't remember your way back to the exit, and as bad as the past few minutes have been, part of you realizes that rampaging through the place would probably make you do even more things you'd be ashamed of later. "I was dumb. I shouldn't have said yes." You move on to a pile of warm bread. You hardly even taste it, though. You're just stress-eating. "Who are you anyway?""I'm Nergal-Edir, the cook. Nobody, really. I said yes when they asked me to come in here, too. But there are worse places to work, I guess. Certainly helps put my own troubles in perspective."You're not sure if he's talking about you there. Your claws get jumpy and push a table over before you realize what they're doing. Your legs are basically doing what you tell them, even if you have to awkwardly move all your left legs and then all your right legs, but the claws will take some getting used to.Nergal-Edir sighs and rights the table. "So what did they promise you? A hot meal and a roof overhead? I guess technically you got it.""They said I'd help protect my friends. They wouldn't like me like this, though..." That thought makes you feel the need to stuff more food in your gullet.>>28424076>>28424095>Sounds like a good idea. How about if I keep OOC stuff in greentext? I was trying to avoid having CYOA-style boxes, but I guess sometimes some kind of prompt is needed. I guess the options awaiting you now are finding a private place in the pyramid to sleep, meeting the rest of the staff, or just sneaking out in the middle of the night with all the food and wealth you can carry for the poorhouse.
>>28424233I hope so. Though we might help by coming to more of a consensus on what to do.somewhere between panic eating and freaking out, I wager.
>>28424267How old are we. Need to know that real quick for character things.
>>28424267Let's sneak some things to the poorhouse, then sneak back. Protect them friends.
>>28424267Meet with the priest and ask that your friends be provided with better living conditions.
>>28424267Find a nice quiet hidey hole! And pull cute boys into it!
>>28424273Well, we're all working together to tell a story, right? These meta discussions probably do add a bit onto that.>>28424267You should open up another thread. Also, communicating to the players whether they can input is a good thing. No need for CYOA style boxes as long as you make it clear that we can take actions.
>>28424252It means ur a faget and youre ruining the quest by being a smarmy douche.
>>28424312eh, let's stay in this thread a while, autosage lasts a time.though, he should ARCHIVE this thread. A QM should always archive their own first thread, so players don't have to choose tags.
>>28424267Finish eating our fill, call for acolytes. Declare our hunger sated, and that the remaining food (the raw beasts and cooked foods) be gifted to city poor houses this day, first right of refusal goes to the place we came from.Demand drink, to slake our thirst in this desert heat.
>>28424258/tg/ seems especially belligerent today, for some reason.>>28424199Doesn't sound bad. But I'm not a fan of Attack on Titan, or Poke'mon, so I think I'll give it a pass. Besides, it's not like I HAVE to see moe monstergirls, to be happy. I just like to see things done well. Sometimes that means an overload of saccharine-sweet moeblob adorableness; other times it means the bleak reality that is void of meaning; or perhaps it's all about the hero's journey to maturity; or the burning, manly spirit of determination and brotherhood that will cut though fate, etc. etc.; or maybe it's a combination of any number of things. Not sure if this quest is it though. I applaud OP's efforts and willingness to run it, but I don't think this is entirely for me.
>>28424326perhaps translate that into nervous and worried street urchin talk, but the sentiment remains the same.
>>28424267So... I just realized...at the moment we are holding off a panic attack by eating. What happens when we are DONE eating and have to go to sleep, left with only our thoughts and whatever kind of bed we will be sleeping on?

>>28424343let's just not sleep for a while maybeI mean, we can keep busy at night sneaking things to the poorhouse

The characters are consistent at least. It's ranged from adorable to sad.>>28424267Our friends will likely think that we're a monster if we walk up to them, I don't see us going back.Ask the priests about their promise, use that moment to let the anger and panic come out in the form of maybe killing one of them.

>>28424267Nergal-Edir continues cleaning up the stuff you overturned. "Afraid I can't help you there. Though maybe they were right. You look like you could protect things."Maybe he's right! You wipe your mouth with a tablecloth and turn back to the ritual chamber. The Great Priests are all gone; there are just acolytes cleaning the floors and walls, plus a couple dragging in a new basin to replace the one you broke."Hey!" You call out to them. "Your bosses said I could help my friends if I let you change me, so that's what I'm gonna do. >>28424469>> Are they really gonna do it? Should you bully them a little to make sure they get the point?Make sure they will do it. Like, right now.
After the bloody carnage that will be our feasting on the meat, lets have them give us the nobles clothes. After that horror show, we will probably want to feel pretty. We may possibly cry about wanting to feel pretty and not be a monster.
>>28424469the thread IS autosagingI had assumed we were 10, since we were described as a child and that's standard child age, but 12-15 works. I will adjust my childhood naevitae suitably. And no, don't bully them to make sure they get the point. DO watch them. If we can find some windows from a high vantage.
>>28424267Well if we're thinking our friends are going to freak out, making some new ones with the staff couldn't hurt.Maybe we could find someone to act as our messenger to let them know we're alright.

>>28424662>>28424623>>28424543this shit is being considered seriously while the other blood from girls suggestion was ruled outcome the fuck on /tg/ at least be subtle about your fetishes
>>28424543>>28424623>>28424662>harem of boys to fertilize our eggs>harem of girls to bear our children>hundreds of chilluns to bring us more of the formerFuck yes.
>>28424695I'm trying to ask them politely to stop it, since last time such a big argument happened. new tack.
>>28424695What fetish? This is no fetish, this is psychosis, plain and simple
>>28424708Quit being such a baby and bend over for the Sandmistress.
>>28424634Lets make sure we have control of our body before we go out-,don't want to kill one of our friends with an accidental claw-swipe. >>28424469Lets ask about our accommodations, get some sleep. Send word to the armsmaster mentioned in >>28423354 that we can start training in the morning.
>>28424719No, it's a fetish......And probably trolling, but mostly fetish...
>>28424469Let's make sure the food gets there, but don't actually TOUCH anybody. We smeared a guy by tripping. God knows we're not going to touch anyone.
>>28424695I would've suggested the blood from other girls or friends if I was there at the time. I was disappointed that it was shut down. Priest perspective and all, I guess.>>28424705Only the best men/boys. and we eat the weak ones.Well, going from that though, we should totally bully the acolytes or ask for a damn authority figure or assert ours by killing one of them."I SAID, NOW!" should suffice while Impaling one on our stinger.
As creepy as >>28424662 is, he brings up a good point. I have no fucking clue what the standard of living is in this setting. The QM tagged it as Mesopotamia, but things seem to be a bit too well off to be of that era.
>>28424736You have no room to be bitching about fetishes when you tried to turn this into giantess vore quest.
>>28424744>Carry food to the Poorhouse on our Scorpio-butt, leave it at the door with a knock. This sounds do-able.
>>28424770>leave food>flee>repeat nightlyThat's pretty good. Also, it opens up "monster in the night" problems later on.
>>28424752>"I SAID, NOW!" should suffice while Impaling one on our stinger.Seconding this.We should also eventually kill and eat the entire priest caste and then establish ourselves as the only religious figure who matters. Those peeps be dicks and deserve it. And then we impregnate that daughter of the Bronze priest with our ovipositor.Maybe the king too. He let them do all this, after all.
>>28424469You keep watching them for a while. There is an awkward silence.Part of you wants to loom over one of them and tell them to do it now, maybe hint that he'll end up as the next mess on the wall if he doesn't, but that would just make things worse. You do say something, though. You have to. "So who's gonna do that? How about you? Go do that."The acolyte begins to protest. "But the masters said that we have to get this place ready in case-"The other acolytes immediately cut him off. "How about you, Ilgi? Go do that." They repeat your order back to him, and he shuffles away, dejected.Singling out one of them works, even without violence! Good to know. You try it again on an acolyte who's scrubbing the floor. "You. Get me some better clothes."After a minute or two he comes back with some of the fine clothes and extra bolts of cloth. You make him show you to your room, which has little in the way of amenities because they didn't want to offend you with stuff that's too small for you."Help get this on me," you ask. "Which way is this supposed to go?" "This doesn't cover enough; wrap some more stuff around here." "My legs are cold." "No, not those!" "Please get out..."You've clumsily wrapped yourself in a small pile of mismatched robes, gowns, and bolts of cloth. However you try to cover yourself up, you still look down and see a monster. You throw a gown over your head so you don't have to see it any more. Then you roll onto one side, on top of the four or five sleeping mats they laid together for you, and have yourself a little cry.>Let's say that you're 12, might at well. And the mysteries of whether/how you can reproduce will have to wait for another thread. Should I start a new one, since this is autosaging? Or call it a night here?)
>>28424768Anon, I wasn't the one trying to make this into Vore quest, only the one citing that being a Giant Man-eating Scorpion Woman would make us fit right in at Felarya...
>>28424792It is the QM's duty to ignore people attempting to suggest out of character things.
>>28424792Does the king actually KNOW what the hell his priests are doing? And can he actually do anything to stop them?
>>28424808Blame it on Scorpion-mind or panic attack. Don't care.I want more murder. Mind you, not murderhoboing, just establishing who's in control. We're their puppet right now, but a gift of the goddess.
>>28424801let's just settle on something with a long skirt later. WE won't have to look at the scorpion bits, and that's all that's important. And don't mind continuing into autosage, the thread isn't in danger until page 10.
>>28424808Throwing a tantrum and accidentally killing a person would totally be in character, and the other stuff was more long term goals for once we took more control of the MCs personality and guided it as we see fit.The spoilertext was just a joke.
>>28424801Go for it. Thread 1 part 2.
>>28424801Call it a night, it's getting late here and this is a good story break point.
>>28424801Call it here. Maybe some of the namefags will have fucked off by Saturday.
>>28424792/tg/ monstergirls and male pregnancy.>>28424801Go for it, new thread, unless you want to stop.
>>28424801We're at page 6. Wait till page 9 or 10.
>>28424830Agreed, we need more tantrum.>>28424844aside from ND, there aren't any. And blaming it on them is poor in taste.
>>28424801>four sleeping mats>have a little cryI almost missed that part.Maybe we should make an apology letter to the family of acolyte#497
>>28424857>there aren't anyRWBfag was shitting up the thread for a while. We could do without him, too.
>>28424861He was talking about laying our egg in the king.Or maybe he want talking about killing him.Not sure. Possibly both.
>>28424830I disagree with your long term goals, and want to instead take it on a more robin hood type route.
>>28424889>He was talking about laying our egg in the king. No, I said to kill and usurp the king. And the pregnancy thing was a joke>>28424894Its hard to be Robin Hood when youre conspicuous as fuck and worshiped like a god. Instead of trying to be a mopey little cunt, lets try using the role that has been forced on us to enact some good.
>>28424926well, a much more unstoppable robin hood.Though, realistically, I intend to just run off one day after they send us into a battle.
>>28424926The kind deity of giant fucking scorpions?
>>28424894This>>28424926Robin hood worked because he was a man and capable of being inconspicuous. Being robin hood here isn't fitting. We need to establish ourself as a goddess in the long run and help people that way.>>28424942Our people would die. We're protecting them from their enemies,
>>28424954I'm not too into the whole being worshiped thing. We don't even know the name of the scorpion god.Maybe if we get a religious teaching we'll go for it though.
>>28424970Maybe the chef guy knows a bit about the religion.Don't be afraid to talk to people just because we get worshipped by them.
>>28424954>We need to establish ourself as a goddess in the long run and help people that way. This is a good long term plan, but lets milk these people for all their worth first. Lets start with getting training in the art of war and religious study. Then, we get glory in battle and slowly establish a cult around ourselves. Once our name is known and loved by the people, we strike at the system itself.
Everybody making long term plans, lets keep in mind we don't fully know what we can do yet, and there was mention of other kingdoms using similar if not more powerful magics. Let's at least get "walking" down before we start making plans about egg-laying and regicide.
>>28425017good point, let's all slow down a bit and deal with things like "why aren't my claws doing what I say"
>>28424970Oh, we'll get a religious teaching, I'm sure. It's the simplest method to control the poor & gullible. The right words, like "honor", "duty" & "will of the gods" and we'll spend the rest of our life chasing after phantom enemies and never even think to question the bastards that did this too us
>>28425027Thinking of everything down there as "yours"> NOPE.JPG
>>28424954>>28425012Yeah, not too sure how much political scheming our poor Scorpion Girl is going to be doing at this point...Maybe when she's grown a bit and learned of the Priesthoods' Corruption, but right now she's just a scared little girl hoping she's actually going to protect people.
>>28425071I agree. A time skip or two might be necessary.
>>28425061I am unsure what you mean
>>28425027"Why aren't those claws doing what I want,"
>>28425071yeah, let's just be confused and scared for now. Wait for age and wisdom to settle in.
>>28425115I think the mean that we haven't accepted that everything below the waist is a part of ourselves. That stuff is a monster. We're sitting on a monster. We're not the monster. We can't be the monster. We wish it'd just all go away
>>28425147ah, okay, gotcha.I am the slow.
>>28425147That make me wonder, how the hell can she lay down comfortably with that body? Laying down on the side would be...awkward.
>>28425178I'm sure we can sit up and down, with the scorpion parts being behind us.
>>28425178>on top of four or five sleeping matsI assume we're just using enough bedding to fit our shape. Blankets piled up where we don't meet the ground.i've done that before to maintain nearly impossible positions for medical purposes.
>>28425178I assumed we'd actually rest standing or settling down on our armored abdomen, Laying down to the side doesn't sound right.IAnd I'm getting sick of my own nitpicking.
>>28424801You cry long and hard. It doesn't feel good, but it feels needed. When you're done, you're not sure how late it is, but you've caught your breath and you feel stronger. The city is dark and quiet outside the arrowslit serving as a window. You take off the clothes you covered yourself in out of panic and replace them with a single long red dress. You call for an acolyte. An older female servant shows up instead, obviously holding back mortal terror at the first sight of you."I'm not gonna hurt you. Tell the priests I'm sorry for that guy I squished today. If he has a family, make sure they get something nice."She bows deeply and answers with audible relief in her voice. before leaving "Yes, at once!"You feel a little more in control. You have power. And you can use it, if not for good, then for somewhat less than completely unspeakable evil. You raise your left claw just a bit. It's shaky, but you can feel it, and it's doing what you say. You close the massive claw and hold it in your tiny hand. You just stand there, awkwardly holding hands with yourself for a few moments, then settle down and try to sleep.> I'm gonna break here for the night. Feel free to keep discussing plans; that's great. Might be back later to talk OOC, but the next real story thread will be on Saturday, probably around noon EST.> Twitter: https://twitter.com/ScorpGirlQuest>Archive: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Scorpion%20Girl%20Quest> I'm also going to make a pastebin with actual character stats for when we need to roll dice. It'll be pretty simple, and scaled from the point of view of superhuman monsters and whole military units, so don't freak out if they look low.
>>28425205Thanks OP. I like this premise a lot, and not just because I like monster girls. These priests are up to something.
>>28425205Okeydokey, thanks for running OP. Sorry about all the ARGUMENT, I didn't mean it, I just get flusteredHavin' fun!
>>28425215>up to somethingOf course they're up to something. Fuckers have the king in their pocket and are trying to get the only military force in this nation other than themselves, the warriors, stamped out by magibominations. And we may or may not do it. Depending on trickery. I don't think we'd straight up stomp our own folks without some.
>>28425191I don't know, I imagine going back up after laying down upside down must be ackward at best.>>28425196That make more sense, we would need to sleep like a horse.
>>28425276I don't see how. It's like bending over.Try to touch your toes. Scorpion girl can do the same thing and I'm basically saying that's her sleeping position. She sleeps on her stomach.
>>28425215I'm not gonna lie, right now the only thing keeping me in this thread is my monstergirl fetish, and ops transformation fetish is kinda not my thing, either.
>>28425288>sleeps slumped over in a position similar to touch-your-toesPoor girl. Poor, adorable girl.
>>28425205Ok, this is just fucking sadorable. Those priest fuckholes are going to backstab us the moment it looks like they can do it without us finding out it was them, won't they?
>>28424948>The kind deity of giant fucking scorpions?Yes. With emphasis on the fucking
>>28425297Yeah, I might have used a bad metaphor. She sleeps on her stomach.
>>28425293well, I'm here for monstergirl logistics and scheming politics. And to extract some cute if possible. This discussion on how she lays down, for instance, is goot in two of my three categories.
>>28425300I fully expect it. Especially since we had food shipped to our friends.
>>28425309scorpion or human?
>>28425309Well, I guess that depend how flexible she is and how her scorpion parts are positionned.I guess it should be relatively comfortable if she is close to the ground.
>>28425366if she's stuck up top of the scorpion, it might just be better to put a pillow on her (scorpion) back and lean backwards with her human half
>>28425378>>28425366You'd think there'd be no loss of flexibility.
>>28425432well, the spine isn't SUPER flexible. Even leaning directly back on the scorpion or lying down forwards would probably be uncomfortable.
I expect a full explanation and schematic for how she sleeps or she won't be well-rested the next morning. I'm not even sure whether I'm kidding.
I assumed she just laid on her side like the centaur in that one harem manga.
>>28425513And I expect a thread with more than 10 fucking updates next time.
>>28425528centaurs are much less wide than scorpions>>28425513I am almost certain we aren't going to sleep well.>>28425546eh, more is always nice, but sometimes QMs get flustered.I know I've had to call off DMing early a few times because I had fuckin' nothing.
>>28425513over 4 min in ms paint
>>28425567Scorpions can curl up, though.
>>28425546That one's on me. I know a lot of quest threads last 9 hours or so, but all I had tonight was about 6. Also trying to strike a balance between answering promptly and waiting for more replies. Hope it was enough.
>>28425632Normal scorpions don't weigth nearly ton through.
>>28425659s'enough. you'll get faster as you go on.Or you'll start writing longer posts.Either or, really.>>28425624adorable.
>>28425668Doesnt change the way their segments work.
>>28425624A+/10Now I need to find some more worksafe art to use.
>>28425768The only problem with that sleeping position is that it make her look like a clumsy girl who just fell down on her face.I am sure people here are into that.
>>28425768gluck m8>>28425797I imagined the exact same thing. that's exactly why I said it looks adorable.
I think our level of clumsiness will be mid-highI mean, people are clumsy after growth spurts. This is one hell of a growth spurt.
>>28425845>I think our level of clumsiness will be mid-highMoe-nster girl quest.
>>28425894>MoeFuck no. /tg/ pulls that shit enough as it is.
>>28425894I don't know about moe, but I do know I'm rooting for at least some clumsiness.I mean, it got a guy killed already.
>>28425457I would imagine this would have been dealt with at the Chimera design stage. In my mind, she can lower most of her human torso into her Scorpion body for sleeping purposes.
>>28426053I somehow prefer the flopping about awkwardly on pillows method, but to each their own.
>>28426072Well, shes still new to this. She may not know about it yet
I wonder when she'll notice the giant 9 inch long stinger behind her
>>28426232sh sh sh shDon't ruin the surpriseShe hasn't looked backwards yet. Heck, she's hardly looked down.
