Are you new? If so, you can get caught up at http://pastebin.com/cEFrBd9d

Well I guess we're not dead yet.

A young male who is mad at us...

We've literally ONLY pissed off Gizmo.

Maybe it's those cultist guys from the beginning.
>>

It some dudes from hell. They want us back on that throne.

They had made that S symbol from hell or whatever and were about to stab us when Robin showed up.

Obviously DeathStroke has found his apprentice, after years of searching. Surely- If the son of death is walking on the streets what else could someone find?
We're fucked.
>>
>>28150174
Depends.

Could be any number of dudes we met while pretending to be villains.

Could be those cultists.

Could even be someone the character doesn't recognize because it's from before his memory as a hobo started.

It's definitely the cultists from the beginning. They kidnapped us, bound us, and tried to stab us with some ritual knife last time and guess what our attackers have just done.

You take a moment to gather yourself.

Your knife wound isn't even starting to heal; in fact, the pain only seems to be getting worse. How strange.

The ropes around your hands and feet are tested. They feel cheap, and you aren't exactly a weakling anymore. You can probably break out of them.

Footsteps are heard around the room. You can't be certain, but it only sounds like one person is in here.

You happily discover that only your shirt is missing. Otherwise, you are fully clothed.

D: Break out of your ropes, get up, and pull the bandana away from your eyes.
E: Wait. Stay here and listen a little while longer. See what you can hear.

With a jerk and a twist, your binds are snapped apart!

You are on your feet. The wound in your stomach isn't doing you any favors, but it isn't stopping you entirely, either.

The bandana falls away.

You are in a large stone chamber. It's huge, like some kind of ancient auditorium. In front of you sits a stone table, and beyond that, a man in a red and black robe.

Beyond that man, and taking up most of the massive room, are hundreds of cultists in red and black robes. They are quietly sitting on the ground with crossed legs.

You look behind you, and notice an open door.

The leading cultist; a young man with curly red hair; brandishes a long, wicked dagger.

As if on command, hundreds of identical daggers are produced in the hands of his followers. They each look to waver in your vision, and upon their blades are written symbols you neither understand nor recognize.

Enchanted weapons.

F: That's your cue to leave!
G: Stay and fight them.

You barely stop to read the sign before jetting off in the direction of the holding chambers!

You see it. A set of huge, metal double-doors.

A giant man with an engraved hammer is standing in front of those doors. A black mask covers his face. He is nearly two feet taller than you, and much, much wider.

You're running at a full sprint. You don't have time for this guy!

The holding cells might have a potent antimagic field which might we why we've been out cold this entire time.
Prison guards could kick our ass.
Cyborg put a call out for help and it might be here by now in the form of League assets. Processing could have people in need of immediate help instead of being held in a cell.
Getting people after us gives the Titans less to deal with if they manage an escape

He's no problem!

You teleport into the room behind him, and immediately spin around to drop a swiveling iron bar over the entranceway. Too easy!

Now, on to the room itself. It's another featureless stone chamber, this time lined by six metal doors. You can only assume that each of these doors will take you to a different prison cell.

A key hangs on a hook nearby. Above it, a hastily scribbled message in white chalk:

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. SINGLE USE FOR DISENCHANT. DO NOT TOUCH.

The key is heavy and black. It hums faintly where it sits.

M: Whatever. Try to teleport into one of the prison cells.

Raven has the knowhow to either open the rest, or get us safely extracted to return for the other Titans later. With our connection with Raven, we should know this.

Whatever. You take the key.

It burns your hand with excruciating potency. You drop the key.

Damn it.

You look up to the doors nearby. Faint symbols like parallel bars are etched into each of them, reminding you of the ones seen on the daggers moments ago. Above those symbols are tiny, vertical slots.

Seconds later, your suspicions are confirmed. Within different cells, you observe the unconscious bodies of Robin, Raven, Terra, Jinx, Starfire, and Cyborg.

Are the doors enchanted like the knives? You can't be sure, but the symbols would suggest so.

You hear a sound, like a click. What was that? No matter. You have bigger concerns.

O: Enter soul form. Attempt to pass through one of the doors anyway.
P: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Robin's cell.
Q: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Raven's cell.
R: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Terra's cell.
S: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Jinx's cell.
T: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Starfire's cell.
U: Pick up the key. Endure the burns on your hand. Bring the key to Cyborg's cell.

You bear the pain, and bring the heavy magical key out in front of you.

Carefully; very carefully; you touch the tip of the key to the front of the door.

Moments pass. You can feel the magic flowing all around you!

...Or is that just the feeling of your hands being burnt? The skin on your palms is getting downright crispy at this point, and the door hasn't moved an inch.

Why did you think that would work? You're getting nowhere with this, and you're running out of time.

Loud bangs are coming from the other side of the entranceway. The guard with the hammer is getting impatient, and you can only assume that hundreds of cultists are right behind him.

What are you going to do?!

"Uh... Excuse me?" Says a young, somewhat dopey voice behind you.

You turn around while frantically juggling the enchanted key. You are shirtless, and largely covered in blood from an open, still-bleeding stomach wound.

The awkward silence is deafening.

A small room is behind this new young man, with its door standing wide open. The door is made of stone which comes flush with the wall when closed; you simply didn't notice the handle. It's very easy to miss.

This cultist looks a little... Out of it. He has greasy blonde hair and a ratty goatee. He is holding a cup of coffee.

A: Demand that he open the prison cells at once!
B: Knock him out and get back to work.
C: Ignore him! Keep trying your luck with the door.

Whoa, whoa. You tell him to cool down.

You're in a bit of a rush, that's all. You just need to get the doors open and can't remember how.

"Du-u-udeee..." He says, looking up and down with half-closed eyes and licking his oddly dry lips. "You're lying to me, man. You don't even have a robe. I can't help you, bro."

It doesn't look like he's going to cave. You should've been more direct.

It's too late now. The doors bust open. Cultists flood the room.

The heavyset guard is swinging his hammer like a madman. A wave of enchanted daggers follows close behind.

You are in serious danger, with no clear method of escape.

G: Jump into the smaller room just behind the dopey prison attendant. Take him and the key with you.
H: Attempt to fight the cultists.

All hope may very well be lost at this point.

You grab the key and jump into the smaller room, jerking the blonde attendant inside behind you.

The stone door closes flush with the wall. You slide a heavy bolt to the right, firmly locking it in place.

"What's your problem, man?!" Pouts the blonde fellow, as he leans against the wall with tightly folded arms.

This must be some kind of storeroom. Various foods and spices are packed in old-fashioned containers and cabinets.

You cannot imagine any of this being useful to you.

This is it. You're stuck in here. A flood of killers waits outside. Your team is unconscious.

You're probably underground, judging by the lack of windows. That makes teleporting to the other side of one of these walls a really terrible idea.

Time passes. Moments, then minutes. What to do?!

Wait, what was that sound? You know you heard something.

Was it... Buzzing?

Yes. I had different event planned for each pairing.

Yeah to be honest I feel like that should have been game over.

You don't get to have a city die under your watch and still be a hero, or have fun beach party shenanigans for the next year or so.

I really dread the lackluster amount of grieving that would occur if anyone dies here.
>>

>>

I agree. Trying to go back to Jump City with one or more Titans dead would make this quest really depressing and grim.

>>
>>28152434

>>
>>28152448
I have to think that that's what Humble wants at this point.
>>
>>28152452
Well we'd better find one, since this quest cannot feasibly continue if any titans die.
>>
I'd hope that in the event we fuck things up so badly that it drastically changes the narrative (and let's be honest, we're pretty much there), we could use this sequence as a kind of check point. I'm not saying we should get an immediate do-over, but I'd feel bad if everything just ended horribly.
>>
>>28152461
Sassy. Alright, so maybe they all get out, there will still be consequences, consequences that will shake us, because otherwise they aren't really consequences. Either way, someone's paying the piper.
>>
>>28152452
Why can't we take the sacrifice?
>>
>>28152485
I dunno, maybe we can? I'm not holding the reins here, what will happen will happen. I'd just say we should be prepared for disappointment and suffering, of a currently unspecified severity and amount.

I have a feeling that these "consequences" doesn't necessarily mean a guaranteed titan death. There are other things that can be done to them. Such as being "processed"

I'm hoping it'll be BB, where Terra runs back at the last moment to die with him.

Makes Donn live with the actions he's taken, leading BB to want to surrender himself like that, and the shame Terra feels making her do the same. A better result with plenty of sad imagry in the Tower later, with Cyborg looking at vegan meals in the fridge.

>>28152742
No, I agree that things have gotten too dark. But one way or another, it'll be over soon.

I guess I do disagree with the rest of your post, pretty much.

>She can even sink directly into the ground, with passengers, and transport them elsewhere. She could've done that with robin, but noooo.
Sure. She could also create a second dome, merge the two, and keep everyone safe.
Except that I established that even keeping up her barrier was difficult. Keeping up the barrier, morphing herself (along with three other people) into transparent states, and then moving them through the earth and out of danger is a little harder than just making a second dome, and she couldn't even do that under so much sudden pressure.

Plus, even if she did revert everyone into transparent black energy, it still wouldn't have worked due to the nature of her assailants, which I must keep quiet about for now.

>>28152589

>>
>>28152834
>This island is a mindfuck of Only the PC could do anything.
Not really. One of my most likely outcomes involved starfire saving the day.
But in many respects, yes, I suppose you were the only one who could do anything, being that you are the only one resistant to certain kinds of harm.
Although you DID skip one of the chances for something to try to erase your memories again. That's a laugh; you might finish this act not even knowing what caused all that to happen.

But to be frank, I don't like this island either. The best parts involved character interaction.
>>
>>28152870
You mean we didn't even protect ourselves from mind erasure?

And if you do like character interaction, then why is it treated with the same urgency as life or death situations?

Except the consequences are much much more arcane.
>>
>>28152865
>and I WHOLEY believe kicking it safe and sound in the tower with everyone aok is a load of bull.
Most recently, you could have just tortured the guy, got the key's secret, etc.
That could have all ended very well.
Though you'd still have to choose whether or not to lie to robin about torturing a guy, which may or may not play out badly for you.

>>28152880
>You mean we didn't even protect ourselves from mind erasure?
You did, and that's still relevant. I can't say too much right now.

I'm not sure I understand your second question.
>>
>>28152870
Which you're steadily bad at. You allow us only 1-2 choices of dialogue with someone, and then we immediatly get up and leave, every time, its annoying. There are whole missed conversations missing, that really makes it seem like donn gets short lip service from everyone. Not even some life experiance or past heroic tales, jokes, small talk! Make me feel like they want to talk!
>>
>>28152891
Or we could have tortured him and he'd be too incoherent to say anything.

Or the cult magically prevents him from saying anything.

And I guess by saying that, you're acknowledging that he'd probably give us wrong information had we threatened him.

With my second question, it was more that we have just as little time to decide on what to do, and the stakes are apparently just as high only much more vague.

It causes burnout and people just going with the first thing that pops into their heads.
>>

I want to have the same dialogue lengths that something like Planescape presents, and I'm sort of waiting until the end of the bonus act to start that, because I don't really like the setting of the bonus act at all.
>>
>>28152920
Well it's not gonna happen, since apparently your definition of bonus act is "death trap".
>>
>>28152891
>Most recently, you could have just tortured the guy, got the key's secret, etc.
Great, so not only did we pick the wrong choice, but we picked the wrong choice because this takes place in some kind of bizarre universe where torture works. Come on.
>>
>>28152937
You mean a comic book?

But yeah, that's not even mentioning that the dude could just legitimately not know how to use it, seeing as he seems pretty scrubby.
>>
>>28152920
I didn't even feel right in Donn trying to have a vacation! Jokers still loose, with an exotic jacket, and Donn is responcible for MILLIONS. Dead in Gotham. Anyone not dead from the cold, dead from the lsughing gas, and Donn knows this!

Since when does that merrit fun in the sun? He needs a psychiatrist not sunscreen
>>
>>28152951
Yeah this.

...Though there's one thing I don't get.

The snow was laced with Joker Gas right?

How would that affect all the people who were indoors and presumably keeping their homes as airtight as possible to retain heat?

Is the Joker Gas able to phase through walls?
>>
>>28152909
I understand what you're saying.
But no, he wouldn't get incoherent from burns, and I wouldn't pull out something like magical speech shutoff unless I'd somehow planned and integrated that into my overall setting, and even then I'd hint at it beforehand, or try to.

>>28152932
>since apparently your definition of bonus act is "death trap".
A lot of things are happening in the story right now that you don't know about. This has been coming since Act 1, and I couldn't stop it.

And is it REALLY a death trap? No. I mean, I thought you guys has pretty clearly decided against the whole "wait a sec" option in all its forms when Starfire took a beating, but I guess not.

Now you're right on the edge of Game Over, and everything is looking grim. It really didn't have to be this way, you've just done some unwise things, and I have to raise the level of peril when you do.

>>28152937
>this takes place in some kind of bizarre universe where torture works. Come on.
It does work. He's a dopey pouty teenage jerk with willpower like a wet sheet of paper.
He tells you to do something. If he lies and the door doesn't open, you torture him some more. That whole process takes but a moment.
He'll tell you the truth.
Or would have.

>>28152951
>Donn is responcible for MILLIONS. Dead in Gotham.
No he isn't.
>>
>>28152963
I mean... you'd think that that would be the WORST way to gas a city, as opposed to causing a heat wave, and then making a joker gas rainstorm as soon as the heat becomes unbearable.

Make it take like an hour or so to come into effect, and you'll have 100% infection rate.
>>
>>28152976
Then why couldn't we just fucking punch him in the face?

Straight up branding him with a magic key seems way too harsh.

In addition? I was under the impression that the key only burnt us because it was anti-magic or something, like it was our Kryptonite, not that it works that way on everyone.
>>
>>28152976
Funny how we don't get
> dopey teenager with weak willpower
Coming from a place filled with monsters, dozens of magical knife wielding cultists, and Man-Fridge from 3seconds ago. I said politly asking was retarded, but the voting scene leaves no room for debate. How is it even supposed to work, the undecernable key...

Look, I'm poking holes because I read up, got dropped into hell, and tried to help.
>>
>>28152963
Houses aren't entirely airtight, and joker venom is very potent.

Enough would seep in over time to infect pretty much everything.

Not that there aren't some areas that may have been airtight or far enough underground to survive. There may very well have been. I can't talk about that right now.
But Gotham's general populace is, essentially, dead.

>>28152994
>Then why couldn't we just fucking punch him in the face?

Straight up branding him with a magic key seems way too harsh.
You are very strong. Punching is less painful, more time consuming, and holds more potential to cause an accident. Plus, it's still torture that way, however harsh you think it to be.

Burning was quick, painful, controlled, and your only real, efficient option if you were going to do that.

>In addition? I was under the impression that the key only burnt us because it was anti-magic or something, like it was our Kryptonite, not that it works that way on everyone.
You were under the wrong impression. You can be harmed by magical items in certain ways, but they don't burn you to touch them, that wouldn't make any sense.

The sign said DO NOT TOUCH for a reason.
>>
>>28153027
>But Gotham's general populace is, essentially, dead.
And yet we're having fun around the campfire just a couple days later.
>>
>>28153027
No, the sign was very unclear. The doped out hippee was unclear, and a completely unremarkable, unmarked security system is unclear. The room seemed heavily lose:lose
>>
>>28153013
Now you're stretching. He's a young man, and if you recognize these cultists from the beginning you'd know that they're teenagers.
Taking into account every single piece of information given about this guy, I don't know how you'd conclude that he's a hardened badass who wouldn't falter at the prospect of torture.

Keep up the good work everyone
>>
>>28153045
How can you not when your foes shoot lasers!! These kids clearly arnt interns from hench co, and clearly are Dark working for this whateverthefuck hell cult
>>
>>28153063
And another thing, how is donn supposed to expect putting the screws to someone will eork. Hes a teenaged hobo, you want to see him try harder, have robin teach him! Donn isn't a crimefighter, Robin shouldve realized this, especiallly after donns many rookie mistakes
>>
>>28153045
But really humble, besides everything, and this deathtrap arc, I Have Enjoyed this.

Let me say it again, I Have Enjoyed This.
>>
>>28153039
>And yet we're having fun around the campfire just a couple days later.
Not your fault. Things happen.
Also, you'd get more info on why that is if you'd talk to Robin more. He's pressing this whole vacation thing pretty hard behind the scenes, due to all the gloom lately.

>>28153042
Sorry, I can't make everything obvious. That's part of the fun.

>>28153063
>>28153105
I don't know what to say anymore ;_;
I just hope you'll keep reading. I'd love to keep you here, and I think you'll like how things go when we finish this arc.
Possibly.
>>
>>28153045
But apparently these guys were able to capture the Teen Titans without a problem.

And yet they'd have someone as weak as this guy anywhere near sensitive material?

Shouldn't he have been culled by now?
>>
>>28153142
>Not your fault. Things happen.
>Also, you'd get more info on why that is if you'd talk to Robin more. He's pressing this whole vacation thing pretty hard behind the scenes, due to all the gloom lately.

That's not how heroes work.

Also, considering that Commissioner Gordan, Barbara Gordon, Harvey Bullock and the rest of the GCPD, Leslie Thompkins, and pretty much everyone not-Batman that Robin knew before joining the Teen Titans is dead, he is doing way too well.
>>
>>28153158
I can't keep talking here without spoilers. Sorry.
You may not have all the info you need yet to jump to so many conclusions.
>>
>>28153143
>But apparently these guys were able to capture the Teen Titans without a problem.
Hint: You do not yet know what the things in the forest were, or why they were there.

>>28153124
I'm glad! I've enjoyed having everyone here for it.
We'll be done with this arc soon enough, anon.
>>
>>28153142
And Robin is going to have his own psychological break. "Oh, I didn't believe star and we almost all died in this place I choice for us."

If we Make It

I WANT SOME SUNSHINE, you hear me humble? We all do. I want this hollow namek arc to end
>>
>>28153171
Oh wow, I'm just in time. But I have no idea what's going on (last thing I remember was Starfire... missing and not in her bed). Updated Pastebin anytime soon? ;_;
>>
>>28153171
That's all we have! Superman sounded pissed.

I repeat. SUPERMAN SOUNDED PISSED. I thought the absolute worst. I thought the bat couldve been dead
>>
>>28153182
Humble, I'm sorry, but it's just too much.
I have to quit - staying up so late and constantly worrying about the story have drained me, physically and mentally.
I can't take all the drama and the fact that we've practically ruined our chances of a happy ending all in one fucking night.
Please don't end such a great adventure like this, no matter how much we deserve it.
Again, I'm sorry, but can't handle any more. And I don't know how to word this so I don't come across as a selfish asshole, but it will have to do.

Goodbye.
>>
>>28153749
>we've practically ruined our chances of a happy ending all in one fucking night.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
>>
>>28153902
If things got pulled around, and we spectacularly saved the day against all odds, at least to the result that we save all our fellow titans and ourselves, then this whole shebang would be reignited with renewed strength and hope. It'd be our finest hour, our clarion call.
>>
>>28153920
Who knows what will happen?
>>
>>28153931
You do man! You do! Hahaha! This has been a hell of a ride so far Humble, I have to give you that.
>>
>>28153943
Hey, I only know the possibilities!

...Which are now quite limited. So yeah, I pretty much know what's happening.
>>
>>28153985
Haha, well I wanted to be here for the end, and I've gotten my wish. I just didn't think I'd help bring it about too.
>>
Boonlo mology guys done.
>>
>>28152485
Of course we can. It would probably be a good End for us given our performance. And humble seems to approve the martyr route so we know the option will probably be available at the end (whether it will succeed is another question though)...
>>
Before we start next thread I think we players should have a serious discussion of which of our teammates' deaths (or soul based enslavement I suppose) we find acceptable.
>>
YOU STUPID NIGGERS!
YOU ARE THE STUPIDEST FAGS!
YOU SHOULD BURN TO DEATH!

Before this thread dies, I want you all to know that I hate you so much.
Mai waifu can wait, god damn it.

You putrid fucking cunts.
>>

Is it possible for us to discuss the choice when given them before we vote?
