TIME FOR SCHOOL!

Couple of things.

1. I’ve lived near D.C. my entire life. I just realized NOW that D.C. doesn’t have the capacity to take on cargo ships, let alone a fucking Academy ship.

2. I’m being intentionally vague about Pool’s sexuality.

3. I’m also being intentionally vague about everyone else’s sexuality.

SITUATION: http://pastebin.com/mN2QcAtr
MECHANICS: http://pastebin.com/Se82xDLe

Previous thread:

You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

AND IT’S FUCKING TIME FOR SCHOOL!

6:30 AM waking up in the morning, gotta get fresh, gotta get downstairs gotta get the cereal put it in a bowl and a theasd fuck this Friday shit.

Anyway, you wake up early on at 6:30. Classes officially start at 8:00 but the first day of school involves an assembly at 7:30 sharp where the class presidents address the incoming freshmen. Regardless of your personal feelings towards the freshmen, you do have to participate in that.

Of course, after school, there’s also the Club Fair where hopefully Nancy has everything set up and ready.

But, past that, there are also a couple of things to remember.

1. You should probably buy a tank.

> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Girls go shopping, right?
> Buy a Tank (0/1)

2. You need to hire an instructor. Lisa said she’d get in contact with the Army, probably the recruiters over at the RSS.

> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Tutorials usually come first.
> Hire an Instructor

3. You need to work out the details of your first match with Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy. Might be worth calling “Ace” Levy, their Tankery Team Commander.

> SUBQUEST UNLOCKED
> Operation Torch
> Fight the first match with Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy.

Right, enough of that. Time to get ready for school.

The uniform of Lafayette Girls Academy was simple. Red skirt, white button down shirt, navy blue blazer, and a red necktie. Naval Academy students had a similar set up, save for a matching navy blue skirt, and a navy blue jacket with the sailor collar, essentially looking very much like that one US Navy recruiting poster.

You look yourself in the mirror after a nice cool refreshing shower. You’ve never been one to question your hairstyles, because you generally just wear your shoulder length hair loose and free.

Not today.

Today, you have to make an impression on freshmen, let them know you mean some business. The only way to do that, is with a hairstyle that says, “I mean some business.” Unfortunately, you only really know two or three hairstyles, and you’re wearing one of them right now.

Now for the ultimate choice.

WHICH HAIRSTYLE DO YOU GO WITH TODAY?

> Ponytail. Sporty, makes as if you don’t have time for anything proper.
> Bun. Upper class proper shit that makes you look educated.

> Ponytail. Sporty, makes as if you don’t have time for anything proper.

Meh, you’re feeling sporty. Time for a ponytail.

You take one of your unused scrunchies and knot your hair into a ponytail. You check yourself out, and you find that it’s actually not too bad. Simple, easy look.

Of course, the alternative was a bun, and you’re not entirely sure how or why you know it.

Anyway, you dry yourself off then get yourself into your school uniform. It’s actually the one you used last year, and thankfully you haven’t done too much growing. That means there’s no more worry if a shirt is too small or too big at the clothes stores anymore.

Of course that also means you’ve stopped growing. You sigh as you press your hand to your chest. That’s the worst feeling.

But hey, you’re dressed, you’ve got a ponytail. You’ve got the look of a Student Government worker, no- a Student Government President.

A knock comes at your door. “Hey, President!” It’s Nancy. “Ready to go?”

Ready to go?

You grab your backpack. Thankfully, Ramirez had the state of mind to get school supplies for you. Punctual as always.

“Yeah, I’m coming!” you say. You quickly adjust your tie then make for the door. As you open the door, you find your staff, Nancy, Lisa, and Ramirez waiting for you outside. Everyone is pretty much prepared for school.

Lisa says, “Ready for school?”

You nod. “Of course.” Nancy hands you a ziplock bag full of apple slices. “Oh, thanks, Nancy!”

Nancy smiles. “Oh, I knew you’d miss out on breakfast!” she says as you begin stuffing your face. “After all, you do have to give that speech to all the freshmen first thing in the morning!”

“Of course not!” you say. You summon the bravado required to make such a statement true. “They’re just freshmen! They probably won’t be paying attention anyway! Do any of you guys remember when the class presidents talked to us last year?”

Everyone says no to some degree. You snap your finger. “Exactly. This speech will be easier than a nun in a gay bar.”

“Of course, Boss,” says Lisa. “Anyway, let’s hurry and get to school.”

Nancy stops, her smile replaced with shock. “Wait!” All of you turn to look at her. “We forgot Kitten!”

You shrug. “She takes online classes, she doesn’t need to go to school today.”

Nancy pouts. “But she’s part of our crew! She should be with us at the Club Fair!”

“Well, the Club Fair’s after school, Nancy. She can just come by later.”

Alas, Nancy still pouts, not having that. “I still say we wake her up and bring her with us.”

“… I should go to school.” There’s a definite pause as you wait for Kitten to deliberate. Finally, she says, “… fine. I’ll go. Give me a minute.” She hangs up.

You look over at your staff. “She’ll be with us in a bit.”

Nancy nods, regaining her energy. “Excellent! It’ll be wonderful having the whole crew together!”

Lisa nods, a bit more skeptical. “Why does Kitten not go to school anyway? I thought only the destitute and Naval Studies Kids took Online Classes.”

“Yeah,” says, now a bit curious herself. “I’ve been wondering why Kitten seems so shy. You know her right?”

“You’ve all gone through Middle School right?” They all nod. “Then that should explain everything.”

Nancy nods, understanding. “I see.”

The door opens a minute later, with Kitten walking out garbed up in her school uniform and looking positively pissed. “Right, let’s get this over with,” she says.

You shrug and lead the group on to school.

As you walk, you can see many freshmen on their way to school, packing their bags with all the recommended school supplies and all the recommended textbooks. You can’t help but snicker a bit. Your staff converses amongst themselves, with Kitten purposely trailing behind.

Finally, you reach the front entrance to the campus. Unlike most land-based high schools, Academyship schools were designed like college campuses with multiple buildings to allow for the higher student population.

And of course, at the front entrance were Hall Monitors checking everyone in.

“Oi, you lot, get over here!” says one of them to you. Great, another Irish hall monitor.

You walk up to the bespectacled and actually surprisingly short as Kitten Hall Monitor. She does not look amused.

“You having a gas?” she ask you.

What?

“Pardon, you say?”

“Oi, I’m asking the fecking questions here you gobshite! Look at yourself!” You all look at each other. Doesn’t seem like anything’s wrong. “It’s all wrong!” The hall monitor walks up to Ramirez and then snaps open a tape measure. She quickly measures the gap between Ramirez’s skirt and her knees. “Three inches above the knee! Regulations state that skirts may only go one inch!”

Lisa looks over at Ramirez. “Oh, Ramirez, I see you like to live dangerously!” Ramirez is non-plussed.

“Shaddup!” the hall monitor shouts. “I’m in control here! Pull down your skirt!” Ramirez quickly pulls her skirt down to the mandatory one inch. The hall monitor looks over at Lisa, “And as for you! Your tie is all out of alignment! I oughta ticket the lot of you for all this-”

O’Hara is having a fucking conniption at this. “I’M NOT LITTLE! I’m a Law Enforcement Studies Student and I deserve to be treated as such goddamn it you cunt!”

O’Bannon looks down at her, unamused. “Oh, sod off you little cunt. If brains were dynamite you wouldn’t have enough to blow your fecking nose.”

“Says the obviously corrupt blackguard who thinks taking greenbacks on the fecking side like some Norner brasser is a good idea you cunt!”

O’Bannon looks at you. “See what I have to deal with?” You shrug in response. O’Bannon looks back down at O’Hara. “Now, run along, go patrol the halls or some shite like that you fecking cunt, you’ll be more useful that way.”

O’Hara puffs her cheeks and begins walking off. Before she goes however, she says to O’Bannon. “You know, you’re a real fecking cunt! I bet if you ever chopped off those soulless locks of yours, you wouldn’t have to resort to blackmail to shag with a guy!” She begins walking off, then turns around and continues, “Oh! Better yet! Maybe Pinkerton will find her way out of the fecking closet if you two ever stop denying your fecking feelings for each other like little chinky schoolgirls in the yard! CUNT.”

THEN, she walks off.

“Welp, we gotta go to the Auditorium then, O’Bannon.”

O’Bannon nods. “Right, I was just gonna tell you that you’re needed there. It’s about 7:15.” You nod and motion for your staff to follow you.

The Auditorium was built to seat as many as 5,000 people. Thus, it looks less like a high school theatre and more like a grand opera house. You push yourself through all the freshmen piling in and make your way to the stage where a bored looking hall monitor lets you through without incident.

Several chairs have been laid out for the staffs, such as Fredendall’s and Betty’s. Speaking of Fredendall, her staff of three has actually arrived, but Fredendall herself is not here.

Oh right, she’s suspended. Hehe.

Regardless, in Fredendall’s absence, it seems that Betty’s gonna have to speak for both the Senior and Junior classes, that gives you some time to practice a speech. Of course, you could also get to know the other class staffs while you’re here.

Nancy asks, “So, President. What kind of speech do you have rolled out for them? Something inspiring?”

You shrug. “Eh… I suppose I can just make it up as I go along.” Your staff stares at you in silent disbelief. Then they all nod. “Oh, don’t look at me like, it’s easy to give a speech to like 10 or 20 people you already know. Giving a speech to thousands is an entirely different thing, altogether!”

They all say, “It’s an entirely different thing.”

… what?

Anyway. You’ve got time to do one more thing.

You quickly excuse yourself behind the curtains of the stage, and in the darkness of the backstage, you quickly go over some standard speech thingies that generally make a speech.

“Hello, my name is Gertrude Pool, welcome to Lafayette Academy.”

Hm, maybe a bit more enthusiastic.

“Hi, my name is Gertrude Pool! I’d like to welcome you all to Lafayette Academy!”

Eh…

“Lafayette Girls Academy is one of the best Academyships sailing the ocean, and it will remain so for years to come!”

That hits way too close to home.

“So, allow me to say, Welcome, and please enjoy your stay!”

Goddamn it, you’re not a hotel curator.

The curtains crack open, it’s Nancy. “President, they’re starting.”

You walk out and sit down in a seat besides your staff on stage right with Nancy being directly next to you. The Juniors and Seniors are to your left. Principal Tennyson has arrived and has taken the podium. The Hall Monitors are about telling the freshmen to quiet down, and soon, the scene is quiet and ready for Tennyson.

“Good morning, Freshmen. I’d like to be the first to welcome you all to Lafayette Girls Academy. I know I myself am clearly not a girl,” the freshmen laugh quietly, “but that doesn’t mean I will not try to make your stay here comfortable. You are here because you’ve all gone through the entrance exams, through MEPS, and are considered some of this country’s best and brightest. It is here you will learn how to do things in an educated and concise manner. Forget everything they’ve taught you in Middle School. This is where the learning starts. Forget SOL tests, forget cramming, just forget all of that. Here, you will learn to become a functioning member of society, through experience. I expect no less than the best from every single one of you, and looking at you all, I am assured I will get the best. Thank you.” The freshmen applaud and cheer on Principal Tennyson as he respectfully walks downstage to his chair, and out of the way for Junior Class President, Betty Grable.

“Welcome, my name is Betty Grable, I am the Junior Class President for the Class of 2015. Normally, our Senior President Lilah Fredendall would be speaking, but she’s currently indisposed.”

Don’t laugh don’t laugh

“Looking at you all, I can see the anticipation and the excitement in your eyes. You all want to get out there, show our Professors what you can bring from where you come from. Whether you are from NOVA, or as far down as Georgia, you all represent some of the United States smartest youth, and here at Lafayette Girls Academy you will become some of the best the United States has to offer, in the field of business or science or wherever you go in the future. I will tell you, what probably all of your teachers up to now have told you: please do your best. Don’t slack off. An Academyship is an institute of learning, not a vacation getaway. You do your very best, and you keep yourself steady and focused, I assure you, you will succeed. Thank you.” Betty bows to the applause of the freshmen. She takes her seat.

Your turn.

Ah shit.

You stand at the podium, clearing your throat. Man, they made that shit look easy.

“Here at Lafayette Girls Academy, we begin to grow. Not grow as in, ‘learn this and that’ or ‘make smart decisions’ and all that mumbo jumbo. We grow as people. Only on an Academyship like Lafayette can you get the practical experience to be a better worker in any career you pick, whether you be a scientist, a CEO, or even something as simple as restaurant owner. You’re not gonna get that anywhere else. And they say that it takes a village to raise a child. Lafayette Girls Academy is the community to raise yourself up high, and become the person you want to be, not the person other people want you to be. So, with that, thank you for listening.” You bow, and the freshmen applaud you. You even hear the shouts of your freshmen crew somewhere in the background.

You make it through the Academyship, it’s an instant ticket into the college of your choice, or a job in your chosen field. With that, welcome to Lafayette Girls Academy, the class presidents and I will do everything in our power to make your stay comfortable. Thank you.”

The freshmen applaud, and with that, they are being led out by the Hall Monitors.

The girls all take a peak at the Senior Council, who are looking at them curiously. They all look back at you say, “Nope.”

Betty whispers into your ear. “I’ll try to do what I can, but right now, things are a bit complicated, okay?” You nod, cautious. “Now, we have to get to our classes. Seriously, good luck with the Tankery program.”

“Yeah, thanks, for what it’s worth,” you say as they walk away. The Senior council take a look at you, skeptical, then walk away as well.

D’aaaawwww but anyway time to wake her up.

“Kitten,” you say as you shake her awake. She slowly stirs, yawning. “Time to go to class.”

She sleepily says, “but I don’t need to go to class, you fuck.”

“Well, too late now. Come on.” You stand her up, and she rubs the sleep out of her eyes. You look over at your staff and say, “I’ll take her with me. We’ll meet up at lunch alright?” Your staff nods.

Right then, off to your first class of the day!

Goddamn it, your first class of the day is MATH.

You quickly explain to the Professor that Kitten will only be here for the day, which he agrees to. Kitten finds a nice seat waaaaaay in the back.

> First Row. Maintain that Presidential reputation and maybe learn something.

Welp, might as well go for the first row. You look back at Kitten, who’s already fast asleep.

Yeah, she’s gonna make lots of new friends.

Math goes by relatively uneventfully. The Professor introduced himself, the syllabus was given out, the sleeping kid in the back was explained, and finally some math was taught. You’re not entirely sure what math it was, you’re pretty sure it was something to do with algebra though. You were never good with math, there was a reason you always sat next to Kitten in Middle School, she knew how to do math besides the fact that you two were friends.

English goes by relatively the same as well, except this time, pretty much everyone had fallen asleep, and even you began nodding off towards the end. You kinda wish English was the first class of the day, it might be good to have a good nap before all the other classes.

Of course, now comes FUKKEN Chemistry. Chemistry has to be exciting, right?

Right?

You’re shaken awake by Kitten. “What? What happen?”

“You fell asleep, chemistry is over.”

On the shopping pastebin the Panther is listed as an Ausf D, but there's an option to take it to an Ausf A. Is there something I'm missing about the A being better than the D or what?
>>
>>28056230
The D. Variant Panthers were the first production Panthers.

Essentially, it's mostly engine work and other minor details, but that's really important considering the Ausf. D was practically the tank that defeated the Germans at Kursk.

“So, Kitten, make any friends yet?”

Kitten shakes her head. “No. The only friends I’ve made are a sexual predator and your staff by proxy.”

You nod, that figures. “Well, Kitten, I’m sure you’ll figure something out. Hell, by the end of this year, we’ll turn you into one of the most popular students in this school.”

“Please no. I think I’d rather stick to tanks.” You snicker at that. “Anyway,” she says, “it occurred to me that we haven’t actually assigned our crews to our tanks, well beyond us of course. When are you gonna get to that?”

You shrug. “I’ll get to it later.”

“Ah, the procrastination spirit.”

“Oh come on, procrastination’s good for you. In moderation.”

You reach the Cafeteria. Lunch period was generally split between the four classes to cut down on congestion, and right now it was the Sophomore period. Thankfully, you’ve arrived before most of the crowd, that of course means the freshest food.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but what's the economic breakdown of the ship. You've mentioned tuition before, and that Naval Studies Students are on an all expense paid scholarship (also, online classes being cheaper. But why would you go on an academyship to take online classes?).
>>
>>28056408
Generally speaking, those who go on Lafayette are from the upper middle class of people below the Mason-Dixon line down to Georgia at the lowest.

Online classes are generally an alternative if you want an actual job aboard the Academyship, like Naval Studies. In cases where you aren't Naval studies, then you still have to pay regular tuition and you're at least expected (but not required) to take a job.

You and Kitten make it into the relatively short line, and soon, you’re walking out with plastic trays with chicken sandwiches, apples, and milk. It ain’t Nancy’s cooking but it’ll do.

You stand on your tiptoes and scan the now forming crowds for your staff. If there was any period of time in school where chaos reigned, it was lunch.

Fortunately, you find your crew already seated at a table having their meals. That was easy.

“That’s boring. I want to make things blow up!”

Ramirez says, “Well we are taking Tankery, I’m sure something will come up.”

Lisa snaps her finger. “That’s right! I’ve been meaning to tell you. I got into contact with the recruiters over at the RSS, they told me we can hire an instructor from the Army. It will cost us though.”

You snicker. “I bet you’d do alright in the Army, Lisa. Maybe you’ll get yourself a real cushy desk job or something.”

Kitten collapsed of exhaustion around lap 30 or so, not bad, but she’s literally too tired to get up. Being the good friend you are you’ve carried Kitten on your back for the past 30 or so laps, getting up to 65 before deciding to retire.

You set Kitten down on the bleachers. Thankfully, you made a purchase of a new set of gym clothes, a white shirt and navy blue shorts, for your friend Kitten, who’s now splayed out all over the bleachers sweating more bullets than a Machine Gun.

“How you feeling Kitten?” you ask.

Who are you kidding, it’s Theatre class.

Your final class for the day is another elective, French 2. Your French is still rusty, but at least it’s better than Kitten who knows nothing about it at all.

With the final alarm, school’s over.

>Walk and talk with Kitten

You decide on carrying Kitten the rest of the way to the Club Fair, might as well, considering you made her sit through Theatre class. Somehow it’s much worse than PE but you’re not entirely sure why.

“You enjoy School, Kitten?”

“No, fuck you.”

“Is this because I made you go through PE?”

“Yes.”

You sigh. “Kitten, a growing woman needs to exercise, you know that.”

“I don’t need to exercise. I drink milk.”

“… that don’t make any sense but I suppose that’ll do for an explanation.”

Soon, you’re out into the Sports field, where Lafayette’s many clubs have set up booths to advertise for members. Some are giving out free pastries and food, others have videos set up to demonstrate what their club does.

But your club has tanks. Three of them to be precise.

The Sherman, the SOMUA S35, and the KV-1S have been enlisted as props to advertise in your large booth, where your staff are currently asking for donations or for people to join as they pass on by. Your crews, the Freshmen, the Aviators, and the Poles, are also about asking for donations. You decide to set Kitten down in the shade of the Sherman.

Where do you go from here?

> Help your staff advertise.

Nancy hands you a loudspeaker. Time to advertise.

You stand up on top of the Sherman and turn the loudspeaker on. “Lafayette’s Tankery Program is returning! Want to know how to drive a tank? Want to participate in a cultured martial art experience? Want to become a real woman? Join Tankery! If you don’t have the time to do it, you can at least donate so that we’ll be able to purchase quality tanks and lead our team to victory! Tankery World Tournament’s coming up, so please show us your support!”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lyl4UwXxTWc

You stand next to Lisa as she presents the informational video to a group of prospective students. They appear interested, but if your keen eye for interested people ever told you anything, these don’t look like a dedicated crew.

You quietly whisper to Lisa, “How come it’s in Japanese?”

Lisa whispers back, “I couldn’t find one in English.”

Well, that’s the way the cookie crumbles you suppose.

A sophomore in the crowd raises her hand. “Do the tanks actually work?”

You nod. “Of course they do! We wouldn’t be using them if they didn’t.”

“Can you show us?”

… uh.

Lisa, taking the initiative, nods violently. “Of course we can show you! We can even fire off a shell for you if you’d like!” She looks over at you, “Right Boss?”

After a second of hesitation, you nod as violently as she did. “Yeah yeah!”

Which tank do you demonstrate?

You tell Lisa to get into KV-1S and drive it to the far end of the Sportsfield where there aren’t as many innocent bystanders to run over. The group of interested students are led by you to a safe distance. The KV-1S raises its gun to the air.

“Lisa, you know how to fire that thing?” you say over the cellphone.

“Yeah, Mr. Mishka gave us manuals on the tanks. Should be easy. Ready to fire when you are.”

You yell over the loudspeakers. “Cover your ears!” The students all plug their ears. “Alright, ready to fire on your go!”

“Firing in three… two… one…”

BOOM

The students, and you, all jump in surprise. As the initial shock wears off, the students all cheer and applause. The hatch on the KV-1S opens up and Lisa waves, to which you wave back happily. You look over at the students and, through the loudspeaker, ask them, “So, you girls ready to join the Tankery Team!?”

The girls all look at each, indecisive.

Damn it.

“Are you at least going to donate!?”

The girls all nod and say the affirmatives. Well, that’s something at least.

You return on the KV-1S and continue shouting over the bullhorn.

“Come on, we need money if we’re gonna get better tanks! We also need people to join up if we want to win the Tournament! What say you!? Come on!”

Students are pouring money into the donation box, such that a new one had to be built on the spot. Lisa continues showing the Japanese informational video, along with other videos of Tanks doing tank things like drift, shoot, and run over cars.

Nancy meanwhile is speaking to a group of three interested looking sophomores.

“… and the tanks are fairly easy to drive, but we will have an instructor come by and teach us more about the advanced stuff.”

Hm, looks like potential.

You jump down and walk over to Nancy. “Hey, Nancy. Who are these?”

The leader of the sophomores, a lovely looking brunette, introduces herself. “Samantha Whitworth. Me and my friends here are from the Lafayette’s Rifle Team, we’re actually looking into your Tankery Club here.”

The Rifle Team left to manage their own booth, leaving you to continue advertising.

“Join the Tankery Team! If you can’t join, at least drop a dollar or two to support us in this year’s upcoming World Tournament! We need you!” you say over the bullhorn. Goddamn your throat was getting hoarse. You quickly drink some water.

You only really have about an hour before the Club Fair ends, but so far the donations aren’t letting up. That’s gotta be at least 10,000 Dollars in those boxes you think.

Now that you think about it, high schools girls handling that kind of money is a little ridiculous, but then you remember you’re on a ship the size of a small island.

You continue shouting for donations like a good little herald. Then you see them coming by.

She quickly looks over at Lisa and shouts, “Did I say something to you, Miss Hillbilly?!” She looks back at you, narrowly missing Lisa giving her the finger. “Now as for you, we have to give you a ticket of 500 dollars!”

You sigh. “Oh come on, O’Hara. You’re just a trainee! You don’t have the authority to write tickets!”

“I-“ O’Hara pauses, in thought, “Okay, yearra, you’re right, I don’t. But O’Bannon and Pinkerton do.”

“Uh, Cathy, girls, get over here!”

Cathy and her crew respond to your call. “What’s up?”

“These Hall Monitors say that because we fired a blank shell on a sportsfield that we have free reign over, we should get ticketed. Is that fair?”

O’Hara says, “I fail to see how this is relevant to you getting ticketed.”

“Now hold on, O’Hara, I’m getting there.” You look back at Cathy. “Now, do you think that’s unfair?”

Cathy nods, a bit frustrated. “It is unfair. We own this sportsfield, we can do what we want with it. We can drive our tanks here, we can exercise here, hell we can hold a hoedown here if we wanted to…” Cathy scratches her chin.

“Now look here you eejits,” O’Hara interrupts. “We can be on our way and out if you’d just pay us our 500 if you-” O’Hara looks over, “Is that a fecking fiddle?”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dCSdfZFTHE

You’re not entirely sure what happened next, but it somehow involved Ashleigh pulling out fiddle and playing O’Bannon and O’Hara out of the area.

Irish people, never able to resist a good flatfooting to a good fiddle tune.

That just left Pinkerton, who’s Scottish.

“So… you gonna ticket us?” you ask.

Pinkerton shrugs. “Eh, Lisa’s right. You do have free reign, and I honestly don’t feel like going through the process of writing you a ticket.” She walks off. “See ya.”

Well, that resolved itself in a somewhat unsatisfying but conclusive way.

You thank the freshmen for their unorthodox and somewhat racist ways of warding away Irish people.

The donations start becoming a little more sparse as more and more students leave the club fair. Despite that, you keep on heralding the Tankery Program to your dying breath.

Literally, your fucking throat is dying. You hand the bullhorn over to Ramirez.

“Join the Tankery Program. If you can’t join, donate! We’ll be participating in the World Tournament coming up, and we need your support!”

You rest on top of the Sherman, Kitten climbs up next to you.

“Saw what happened. That could’ve gone bad.”

You shrug. “Well, be glad it ended like it did.”

“KITTEN!”

The color drains from Kitten’s face. “Oh shit.” You look over at the source of the shout. Is it Anna Eleanor and the Sewing Club?

Oh, yeah, it is.

Anna runs up to the Sherman, positively delighted. “Kitten! Gertrude! Good to see you!”

You greet them, “Hey, Anna, Mamie, Bess. What’s going on?”

“Oh it’s wonderful! We’re getting all kinds of sales for our outfits! People are finally aware that Lafayette does indeed have a Sewing Club!”

Mamie says, “We made about 10,000 Dollars in sales alone.”

Eleanor nods. “Yep, we wanted to share half of that with you, in thanks!”

> + 5,000 Dollars

You nod. “Thanks, Anna! I don’t know what to say!”

Deserving. A more deserving club.
>>
>>28058775

The KV-1S has a good gun as well, and reliability is going to be much more of a critical issue than whatever accuracy (that we don't even know translates to tanks) they can offer. We have training for a reason.

Still haven't counted the earnings yet. If we boast about it, it'd be embarrassing if it turns out to be meagre compared to the Sewing Club's earnings.
>>
>>28058816
Comp-spec means there shouldn't be any reliability issues though.
>>

No, comp spec means the reliability issues aren't as prevalent as they were in vintage.

>>

And when paired with the Ausf A mods it'll be just as reliable as any other tank.

Let's just make every team do a few trial runs in every tank and we'll grade on aptitude.

“Oh, we did a lot! Made a lot of money, outsmarted the cops, and even recruited the Rifle Team! It’s been a productive day!”

Anna nods, “Awesome!” She looks over at Kitten. “She looks exhausted.”

“Pacer.”

“Ah, understandable.”

Kitten says, “I take online classes anyway, it’s not like I go to school regularly.”

Anna gasps. “What!? Then what do you do all day!?”

Kitten shrugs. “Play video games, watch movies, porn, that kind of stuff.”

Anna nods, looking positively shocked. “I can’t imagine being stuck at home doing the same thing over and over again.”

“… Well it’s not the same thing, I mostly-“

“Nothing for it then,” Anna starts. “I’ll visit you during my lunch period.”

Kitten’s look of indifference turns into one of fear. “Oh god no, I-I mean, you- what about- you can’t be serious.” She looks over at you. “She can’t be serious right?”

Conditional terms. Only under Gertrude's supervision.
So she can prevent Kitten from escaping and shenanigans that happen are within her sight.

Even with Ausf A mods, there's no way it's going to be even remotely as reliable as something like a Sherman. Crappy steel and overengineering ensured that.

“You said you wanted friends, right Kitten?”

Anna gasps, “Oh god that’s so cute!” She hugs Kitten, mashing her cheek into Kitten’s. Kitten looks unamused. “Don’t worry, I’ll bring Mamie and Bess so it won’t just be us! We can do all kinds of things together like sewing or jogging or even sketching!”

Kitten sighs. “Yeah, fine. Okay. Just don’t get my dorm dirty.”

Lisa calls for you, “Hey, Boss! Come down here!”

You hop down from the Sherman and walk over to Lisa. She’s surrounded on all sides by filled up donation boxes, using one of them as an improvised desk for her notes and her many calculators. That’s your treasurer for you.

“Okay, Boss, so I’ve tallied up all the donations. Everything, plus the 5,000 from the Sewing Club…” she hits a few more buttons on a calculator. “Mhm… we’re definitely in the black.”

You cross your arms, peeking over her shoulder. “How much?”

“Well, in total, all the donations minus the Sewing Club donation…30,000 dollars.”

> CLUB FAIR TOTAL
> 35,000 DOLLARS

… you’re speechless.

“You okay?”

You nod. “Yep.”

Also, a question GermanSchteel.
Does Mr. Mishka also offer conversions for the Bergepanzer we have once all tanks are recovered?
I forgot what tank it can be upgraded into, but it might be a good platform for the Rifle Club if it can be converted to a TD (if I remember correctly).

“SWEET MOTHER OF GOD, 35,000 DOLLARS!” You glomp a very surprised Lisa. “Oh thank god! That’s so much! We have money now!”

“Okay, yeah, great!” Lisa says. “Can you let go of me now?”

Nancy walks in, “Are we having a group hug!?” She quickly runs over and takes both of you in a hug. “Ramirez! Come over and hug us!” Ramirez does so.

You call over the Sewing Club, “We made 35,000! Come hug us!” Kitten and the Sewing Club all enthusiastically join in.

“I’m rapidly losing the ability to breathe!” says Lisa.

“VICTORY!” shouts Janek as she and the Poles join in.

“Whoo! Get some!” The freshmen all cheer as they join in the hug.

The Aviators also come in their own. “We have no idea what’s going on but fuck it let’s join in too!”

Awesome!

With the Club Fair over, everyone goes their separate ways. Before you leave your staff to secure the funding, you talk to Lisa.

“Have Mr. Mishka upgrade the Panther to Comp. Spec. I know that’s pretty much 2/3rds of our money gone, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.”

Lisa nods. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it done.”

With that, you decide to take Kitten home, and what better way to take your friend home than on your back as she very slowly dozes off.

“Trudy?” says Kitten quietly.

“Yeah, Kitten?”

“Why’d you say Anna could come by my place?”

“Because you need friends?”

Kitten sighs. “I suppose.”

“Hey, I’m sure you two will get along nicely.”

“A pair of shut-ins who haven’t interacted normally with other people for ages?”

“Well, that’s the optimistic theory.”

The both of you snicker. As you walk down the street, you can just feel Kitten’s heart beating, her soft breathing, yep she’s almost fallen asleep.

“Hey, want me to sing you a song?” says you.

After a minute, Kitten says “Sure.”

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
You make me happy, when skies are grey,
You’ll never know dear, how much I love you,
Please don’t take my sunshine away…
