Right, you've had enough of being glared at. The morning's barely even started and already it's looking like a very long day, with only dinner with Midori at the very end of it to look forward to. As much as you'd like to fast forward to that, you still need to wade through an entire ocean of bullshit to get through it.It's after lighting a cigarette - and burning it down halfway through its filter with one deep pull - that you break the silence between you and the last remaining Culexus of the Ninth. Using your own innate talent for diplomacy. So, this Girl A, you speak, after blowing a veritable cloud of smoke towards the skull-helmed Culexus. The girl who betrayed her own Officio to the Ninth. The girl who pretty much gave her comrades over to be purged. The girls whose friends you killed in front of her.Just how fucked in the head is she?
>>28050468You saw the punch coming - and had dodged it neatly by simply leaning to the side - but you didn't see the padded, studded knee hurtling towards your gut.It hurt. It wasn't the sort of searing, burning pain that lanced right through your core when Lucius managed that lucky stab, but it tasted all the same, and knocked the wind right out of you. You stagger back here, coughing, trying your best not to spew your breakfast down the front of your costume - when the other punch clocks you clean in your jaw, knocking your Warmaster Cap clean off your head and your cigarette flying. You taste your own blood in your mouth - twice in as many days - as you watch your cigarette land on the tiled elevator floor with a scattering of embers, dying pathetically there."Take it back." Yuma snarls at you, her helmet vox turning the threat into a rough-edged snarl. The Culexus advancing towards you with both gloved hands held up and curled into fists. Reminding you of a blue-haired Eversor that seemed to go into automatic Bitch Mode whenever she sensed you being in the same fucking building. "Take it back, you bitch."Heh. This is almost nostalgic. How do you react?
i love you Decu
>>28050475[x] "Take what back?"I'm guessing it's something to do with the "betraying her comrades" remark, but I'm not sure.
>>28050475>[x] Treading on a thin line there, girl. One more punch and I'm retaliating. What the fuck is this insubordination.
>>28050475[x]Headbutt her.No, fuck this shit. We are tired, exhaused and Coobie dropped this bombshell out of nowhere, no way we just letting someone punch the cheese out of us. SHITISFUCKINGON
>>yfw when you read the forgotten story and really like it >>yfw when you realize Hatchan is best artist and writer and sounds like a really nice person Muh self worth
>>28050468>How do you react?[x] moderate extreme violenceLets get this shit out in the open.
>>28050513He does sound like a pretty cool guy, yeah.
>>28050504I'm assuming, "Just how fucked in the head is she?" I get the feeling Yuma is quite taken by her at this point.Anyhoo. One punch we can let pass, getting kneed is just us being lazy, but the second punch is too far. She killed our cig and knocked off the cap.As much as I want to be on good terms with her, we are the Warmaster. This shit does not fly.Once(if) we get her onto the ground. We can present an ultimatum. Either she works with us here and she helps us talk to Girl A with as little friction as possible. Or she gets to stand at the door while we walk in, eldritch abomination that haunts her dreams in tow.
>>28050475[x] Hit her. Hit her like she's a green-haired idol.
>>28050522>>28050509You people are retarded. Yes, let's get in an all-out brawl with our only remaining culexus because she threw a little bitchfit. We're the Warmaster for fucks sake, holy shit people.[x] "I won't tolerate insubordination. Do it again and there will be consequences. In the mean time, please try to develop a sense of humor."We don't just murder people for tiny-ass shit. Not anymore. We're better than that.
>>28050475[x] Smack her in the head with the DEagle. Then, smack her in the head with the DEagle. Finally, smack her in the head with the DEagle.[x] "Which part, dipshit?"
>>28050554We're not going to murder her, only subdue her.Though, I get the feeling that's going to be quite the task.
>>28050475[X] Pretend she's Ruri, work out your frustrations. After either one of us is on the floor, ask her. "You done?"
Damn bad Yuu is still asleep. A blistering straight with the murdergauntlets might show her how to throw punches.
>>28050562It's a pity we can't shoot her, because she really fucking deserves it right now. Damn suit, breaking it would only give her an advantage.
>>28050475Jab, leg sweep, pin her to the floor.I'm here for information, and instead of information you give me violence. You want to help the girl in there? You best stop fucking up while you are still in a position to help ANYONE.Information, bitch. What is going on?
>>28050554This.She gets this one punch. No more.
>>28050475Pick it up...please.Firm but polite, tough shit, she's the one who betrayed her officio. We're her boss and you're not supposed to punch your boss, Sallaka included. We're not going to go down and murder this other Girl A, just have a polite conversation. So lighten up a little maybe loosen your suit a bit, it's clearly chafing.
>>28050567I said MODERATE extreme violence. No items, Fox only, Final destination. If I wanted her dead I'd have said "Give her the full Murderface Experience".
>>28050475[X] "Take what back, you crazy bitch?" If she insists on fighting, though, oblige her. Think of a green-haired idol with every punch.
>>28050583It wasn't one punch, it was two and a knee to the gut.
>>28050468>[X] shoot her kneecaps offthis shit is intolerable and we have had a shit week and she has the gall to pull this shit anyways, if she can read thoughts she would know that.fuck that and fuck her, yes its unbecoming but she doesn't get special rights to do that crap on a whim.
>>28050577I don't think her Culexus powers are going to be much of an advantage over Chiaki. We're inflicted worse hangovers on ourselves.
>>28050583She got two punches and a kick. So I guess it's time to discipline a subordinate for the first time.A missed punch is still a punch.
>>28050475[x] Sweep the legs, grab her by the ankles, give her a piledriver. Then tell her we're sorry for whatever we've said to offend her, but we really need to know what's up with Girl A and don't have time for this.
>>28050468>>28050475The best time of the day <3
>>28050475[x] "Well, that just doesn't answer anything at all. Still, a decent ice-breaker I suppose.Well, you going to talk, or am I blundering in there on my own? If so, I can't promise I'll hit her every sore spot in my first sentence, but the prognosis is looking quite good on that front."
>>28050591You're quibbling over minor details.Thr point remains that on a 1 to 1 basis she is still more valuable by dint of her rank and we want to have at least a decent working relationship.and the best way wirhout sinking it further is by letting this drop.
>>28050475[x] "Watch it, Omegon. It's true that she betrayed her former comrades, and her having been driven crazy is a logical conclusion."Goddamnit, she's the only Culexus we have left, and we had to go and antagonize her at every opportunity.
Since this fight seems to be going down, remember one thing. This is a leader calmly and appropriately disciplining a subordinate that went to far. Not a tired alcoholic who has a bruised ego lashing out.
>>28050621wat?thats a new one.
>>28050554>You people are retarded.>We don't just murder people for tiny-ass shitYou assumed that we want to murder someone, not just hurt her back, so I think the Retard-Hat goes to you. Try yourself at reading comprehension before you call othr people retarded.
>>28050613>the best way wirhout sinking it further is by letting this drop.actually I think the best way is letting her get this shit out of her system.ROUND ONE... FIGHT
>>28050616I assumed we were just going to have her tell us her objections in full and see what we can work with. Not offhandedly insult Girl A.
>>28050620Remember, you can't spell "Therapist" without three quarters of the word "first".
>>28050585Put a damn [X] when you have a good idea, for that matter Decu dis has my vote.Chill, but dangerous.
>>28050627With Chiaki, it's pretty much all or nothing.
At this point, I'm not convinced that she isn't involved with the prophet, and we need to let her know that this shit isn't going to fly. Killing is out of the question, but she still needs to be taken down and reminded of who we are.
>>28050475[x] Take her down with nonlethal force. As dirtily as we can, hopefully without blowing parts of her body away. I hear stab wounds can be healed fairly easily by Sayaka?[x] Ask again and make a note that we have no worries about working with mentally deranged people and you were asking that question out of goddamn concern for her mental wellbeing, you overreacting bitch!
>>28050637Again, what you meant with your words and how those words are taken by another party do not necessarily have to be the same. We went over this when we completely fucked up our first meeting with Yuma.
>>28050585[X]this>she needs to rest seems like she has a bad case of armor chafe
[x] Unleash a corrective bitchslap. We can't stand for this insubordination!
>>28050613That will only result in further insubordination and potential disobedience. Acting like a child is not acceptable behaviour for any member of the Officio.
Oy, chimps. Voting is over and done for good 5 minutes now.
>>28050658What? Man, I missed out being able to order shooting subordinates in the legs. Low calibers can be healed, so it's fine.
>>28050658no that was neco being neco, theres a difference yo.
>>28050667With anyone else that'd be the instant reaction to this shit. But Omegon's a Culexus. No damaging the duds.
>>28050657This, seriously. She has been coddled for too long for being the only Culexus. And understandably so. But that officially ended the moment she threw the second punch.
>>28050667Notifying about the end of voting periods was the reason these pics were made, man.>>28050621>>28050669It was posted 20 minutes in. It was legit. But, of course, "fucking cat" applies.
>>28050669No, I figured pattern recognition would kick in and people would just accept it as the 'voting over' bannya.Voting was over ten minutes ago. Sorry for the lack of clarity, I was just so excited about that edit!
>>28050676>but of course fucking cat applies>fucking cat>catI like the way you think anon, a NECO is fine too.
>>28050685> I figured pattern recognition would kick inIt did, some people are just retarded
>>28050667You know that doing so will damage the special anti-anti-magic suit which keeps a Culexus null field in check, and it can't be fixed with magic.
NECO confirmed for babe
>>28050675>She has been coddled for too long for being the only CulexusYou mean the less than a year it's been?
>>28050671>no damaging the suitCan we get a taser? Or some kind of weapon that causes ridiculous amounts of pain without physical damage?...Can we fit one of those microwave crowd control cannons in our shield and fire microwaves at people we don't like?
>>28050710That's a lot of time to be coddled. I would never let a subbe get that much special attention.
>>28050712Just fucking punch her you stupid tards. If we didn't blow the Yak's kneecaps out, I'm pretty sure we can keep this non-lethal.
>>28050712We should get a sick stick like that one girl has.now that I think about it, doesn't Wendy have one?
>>28050719What makes you think she's been coddled at all? There's zero evidence for it and goes against QB's management policies we've seen so far.
>>28050725NECO end pls decu
>>28050723I'm just thinking of a way that Chiaki would fight dirty without resorting to firearms and I'm coming out with a blank (no pun intended) considering she just gutpunched us.
>>28050667The deagle isn't a fucking .22. Normal deagles are already pretty high caliber. Ours blows legs off. Granted we CAN have that healed, but it will mean we can't talk to Girl A since we kind of need Yuma to be there. No shooting.>>28050710Time isn't really a factor here. Every time we talk to QB about her he goes on and on about how special and important she is, especially since she is the last Culexus we have. Fuck him, she's out of control.
>>28050725Sweater puppies on my cat...boner what do we do I'm pleasantly confused
>>28050719I dont think shes being coddled. With the demands placed on being the only culexus left, I expect she must have been heavily overworked and gone into the line of fire many times.
>>28050710Yuma sounds like a case that has been allowed to steam in her own misery for too long. It has gotten to the point where her prevalent emotion is blatant distaste or outright hatred towards anyone even remotely involved with Malal's death, us and Kharn at the forefront. Looks like she doesn't even give a shit what happens to her as long as she gets to prove a point, hence the point. She's fucking dangerous. A loose cannon. If the Prophet were to offer her a chance to get back at us, Pinky and Kharn, I bet she'd jump at it. We shoul be prepared to put a bullet through her skull at the first signs of betrayal, only Culexus or not.
>>28050750This is why we pull out a .22 long rifle, then beat her about the head with it. Lower calibers is fine, right?
Oi, Hatguy. Suggest slight changes to Wendy from the height chart; her eyes are too far apart, so move her left one in a bit and maybe rotate it slightly counterclockwise.Example pic related, obviously you'll need to muck with the hair and eyebrow too.
>>28050750a single moment of rash insubordination is 'out of control'?It's not like she acting like some god damn diva, shes angry for someone else.
>>28050749Bashing her with the shield seems like a good idea. But I'm not 100% on that.We really need that eversor training,
>>28050750a major contributor to the value of something is it's rarity. She is the only one we have left, special treatment is understandable, yes there is a limit, but don't make the mistake of not needing her.
>>28050770>hence the point.>pointI meant "punch". Fuck.
>>28050770And we're making her eventual betrayal all the more likely by antagonizing her at every single opportunity. Of course that means we probably won't get the servo skull that Malal left for us.
This isn't a fight we need to win. This is just one we both need to come out of standing up.
>>28050755Do you feel sexually attracted to cats, anon? How is your relationship with your mother?
>>28050797We're not doing it on purpose. She's just a neurotic cunt that needs to be brought back in line.
>>28050802It's fine...>fine>fine too>a car is fine tooJust fine Mr.Freud
>>28050779If anyone else tried suckerpunching us for asking a question, we'd probably kneecap them for insubordination. -Or probably punch them into a wall. The people who we wouldn't blow the kneecaps off are our trusted circle who wouldn't suckerpunch us, and Sayaka. And we won't kneecap Sayaka because we've got an agreement with her that she's supposed to slap us upside the head if we're really doing something stupid.Suckerpunching your boss just once is "out of control". Try it in your job and see how fast you get fired, or "retired".
>>28050786I think it bears pointing out that in the time between the last Walpurgisnacht and now, QB hasn't been able to get a single other Culexus. I don't know how often he Contracts a new girl, but this is problematic.
>>28050786>but don't make the mistake of not needing her.Exactly the reason we aren't going to kill her, just react in kind.>>28050779You don't seem to understand how military organizations work when it comes to individual conduct and rank. All personal are expected to act appropriately at ALL TIMES. Their superiors act on that assumption so they can make appropriate decisions.Yuma has FAILED to maintain her composure on the Second highest ranking official in this Officio. Worse still she struck that official. That Shit Does Not Fly
>>28050825Yeah well right now he doesn't have a Culexus, he has an over-emotional bitch in a biker suit.
>>28050831I mean, we could pull rank. But lets face it, that's not Murderface's style.
>>28050816>A car is fine, tooYou sexual deviancy seems to escalate by the minute.
>>28050805So pleading ignorance after having already been told relevant bits makes it her fault? No, we've been given the information in-character to not antagonize Yuma and yet we keep doing it.
>>28050839Pulling rank would be to tell her to clench her teeth first. I know that won't work on Yuma right now and as you said, not Murderfaces style.
>>28050797>And we're making her eventual betrayal all the more likely by antagonizing her at every single opportunity. What's important isn't kicking the shit out of her, though getting a kick in would be appropriate. What IS important is telling her that we're asking about her friend's mental health because WE CARE about not making her freak out. We don't give a shit if she's mentally unstable, considering we, Kharn, Sayaka, and goddamn 3/4 of the officio is fucked in the head - anyone who's a magical girl's mentally unstable. What we need to impress on her is that we're not out to terrorise her friend, even if we're not letting her get off easy for assaulting us. -And we really shouldn't let her get off for doing that.
>>28050858There's also the fact that she's wearing a helmet, too.
>>28050831We're not a military, we're a corporation run by an alien cat that does things his way and not yours.
>>28050869And that's why we kick the shit out of her instead of writing her up on a court martial. And meanwhile tell her why she shouldn't overreact to simple questions.
>>28050869The reasoning is still the same, regardless. Someone who flies off the handle and assaults a superior over an offhand comment is a liability and should be punished for it. If she were to pull this shit on a mission she could endanger everyone involved.
>>28050819What line of service does the Officio provide? It's combat related services.Tempers can flare and when it comes down to it, training and instincts can kick in and fights DO happen, especially in the military.>>28050831Yes, you are expected to act appropriately at all times. SO IS THE COMMANDING OFFICER. Getting pulling into the fight is NOT appropriate conduct for an officer. There is brig time, or court martial, or in the case of the officio, likely docked pay. However, it is not always necessary to invoke these sanctions. Especially if both parties serve in combat together. The informal approaches work to help smooth things out and not leave bad blood between them which might come back to bite at a very bad time.
>>28050725>>28050820..Does this mean that if we persude Coobie to make a contract with Neco we acquire a Phantasmoon?
>>28050869No, this offico has order. We're not the rabbits. We have rules that need to be followed. It might not be a military in the literal terms. But there is a specific kind of conduct that is to be followed. Even Sayaka got reprimanded for kicking murderface when she was Girl A.>>28050883Even in the military, special exceptions are made for outstanding individuals. Hence why we're not killing her.
For when she asks us to take back calling her fucked in the head:"What, are you implying that any of us AREN'T fucked in the head? Its part of the fucking job! You're fucked in the head! Enishi's fucked in the head! Malal had to be fucked in the head to put up with Kharn's shit for so long, and even Mami's fucked in the head, though she manages to hide it damned well! And evidently I'm fucked in the head more than I thought, because here I was thinking that I could have a civil fucking conversation with you!"
>>28050908>Even Sayaka got reprimanded for kicking murderface when she was Girl A.That was under Kharn, and she got a reprimand for beating up a prisoner.
>>2805092010/10 would marble phantasm with.
>>28050904Sometimes people need to be whipped into shape. That is within our power as the Warmaster.Hence why the way we do this is hugely important. It is a leader reprimanding a subordinate. Not a catfight.
>>28050904>not leave bad blood between them which might come back to bite at a very bad time.Yeah, that's true. But of two conversations we've had with Yuma, we've been a cunt to her in both. Not because we meant to be a cunt to her, but because we didn't take into consideration what we've been told about her.Like asking a blind man to go watch the fireworks, or a diabetic who's also lactose intolerant if they'd like to have some ice scream with everyone else.
>>28050920NECO is best girl
>>28050930Same thing. She got reprimanded for poor conduct. But kicking a prisoner is a bit less severe than punching your commanding officer.
>>28050947We'll sort it out after we have some punch therapy.
>>28050912Eh. I can get behind it.>>28050947>Chiaki>TactDoes not compute.
>>28050961That can work if we do apologise at the end but i'm having trouble thinking of things to apologise for.The initial contact with Yuma in chiaki's office showed she didn't exactly hate murderface.
>>28050906Ask Deculture and I'm sure he'll say "Hahaha!"Let's try it anyway
>>28050954>kicking a prisoner is a bit less severe than punching your commanding officerI suspect that Kharn would disagree. There's no glory in taking the skull of someone who can't fight back, after all.
>>28050869And she swung at us three times, two of which connected. We may not be officially military, but even in the civilian world, three swings and its no longer a corprate issue, its legal self-defence, to get police involved with. And we certainly aren't getting them involved. You do not swing at your Commanding Officer.Doesn't matter if you hate them, or think they deserve it.Likewise, as a CO you cannot let this shit go un-dealt with. Finally, in an Officio of Magical Girls known for their propensity for violence and outright murder, we are NOT going to be the Warmaster that got beat up by her subordinates and then hit them with paperwork after the fact, we deal with this NOW.
>>28050967>she didn't exactly hate murderface. She didn't hate Murderface before. She dislikes us now because of our actions. >>28050962It may be in character to be a cunt to everyone, intentionally or not. But if people are going to go with that explanation, then they shouldn't try to defend their actions with pleas of ignorance.
>>28050883>>28050904>>28050941All right, then. We hold an informal grievance meeting. Its clear she's got something of a grievance and it should be aired, as well as her emotional state. (her punching us)So we reassure her in regards to our previous comment ie the head-fuckingness.Then we ensure she keeps in line by giving an unofficial reprimand; IE kicking her shit in just a little, and remind her to try and keep things in check.
>>28050975of course, Kharn would also take yuma's actions as an invitation to fight, so the point is moot.
>>28050522 >>28050549 >>28050562 >>28050590It's times like these that you surprise yourself. After how you reduced Lucius and her two goons to paste back at the stadium, you thought you'd be at least tapped out temporarily with the whole 'murderous aggression' thing. Turns out you're not.Yes, you knew you were going to smash your cranium into what should be bulletproof plexiglass and whatever kind of material they made the helmet part of the Anima Speculum nowadays. But even as it felt like a thousand blinding migraines happening all at once in a split second as your forehead connected with the uppermost curve of her helmet, the squawk of hurt surprise issuing from Yuma's vox sounded like it was worth it. The gasp that she wheezed out when you returned her gut-check with one of your own pure music to your ears.As she herself staggers back - leaning against the wall of the elevator - it's here that you draw the Golden Desert Eagle from your inventory, the cold metal of the oversized firearm immediately growing warm in your grasp. But instead of undoing the safety and blasting out her kneecaps - as instinct and something else entirely tugged at your every cell in your body to do so - you toss the gun up into the air to catch it by its barrel instead. Moving towards the stunned Culexus all the while. A small, thin smile curling your lips.Your first hit crashes against her visor, snapping her head to the side. The second, delivered on the backswing, slaps against the side of her helmet with a solid crack, and it's here that bits of polished, curved plexiglass clatter to the floor like broken teeth spilling from a freshly kicked-in mouth. The third and final one crunches down from above, sending her sprawling on her hands and knees in front of you. Almost as if you'd sent her into that position by design, to look as if she's begging for forgiveness.[1/2]
>>28050975>There's no glory in taking the skull of someone who can't fight back, after all.So... poor conduct. We're not Kharn anyway. Kharn would accept a sucker punch as a challenge.
>>28050998....mayby it's foreplay?
>>28051000The fallen Culexus is still coughing, trying to gasp for breath from earlier. Sucking in shallow, painful breaths. Cursing you in between wheezing gasps."It's not...it's not fair," You finally make out, after she manages to breathe properly again. "She's suffered...she's suffered enough already. She doesn't deserve to suffer you again."How do you respond?Help her up. Ask her what she means.Step on her helmet, press her visor against the floor, and tell her that you're not in the mood. You're her Warmaster, and she does what's asked of her. You will not tolerate insubordination. Other.
>>28051000fuck...Trying to recover the relationship from this is going to be hard.
>>28051009[X] "Which is why I was about to ask you to mediate for me, dumbfuck."
>>28051009[X] I asked you a fucking question, Yuma.Answer it.
>>28051009[x]Wonder why we're not throwing up after breaking her helmet.
>>28051010I think that some of our voters may not have that concern in mind, unfortunately.
>>28051009[x] Help her up. Ask her what she means. "I can't know what objections you have if you don't say them with words, Omegon. I'm not like Kharn- I can't speak with my fists. At least, I don't understand it, anyway."
>>28051009"We are Magical Girls. It is in our design to suffer. She'll manage."
>>28051009[X]Help her up. Ask her what she means."I can't even remember. Tell me."
>>28051009[x] Other."That's why I was asking you about her current mental health. And why I was going to have you go in and talk to her while I stayed outside and watched. What, you thought I was going to go in and rough her up?"I expected better from HER protege."We don't need to say Malal's name, and probably shouldn't, but bring her up to get Omegon to get herself together.
>>28051009She's talking. This is good.[x]Leave her on the floor. "Keep Talking."
>>28051009[x]"I'm not here to make her suffer. I was TRYING to get a better understanding of her status. And I was going to ask if you thought acting as a go-between would make it easier on her. And then that happened.""So. Your thoughts, Omegon?"
>>28051009>[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.Sigh, holster the gun."Lets try that again. We're magical girls, everyone in this line is fucked in the head, you, me, Kyoko or even Mami. We're all got a screw or two loose and I needed to now if she had lost it.Now explain further, Yuma. What do you mean."
>>28051009[x] OtherThe choice is hers.>>28050544>Either she works with us here and she helps us talk to Girl A with as little friction as possible. Or she gets to stand at the door while we walk in, eldritch abomination that haunts her dreams in tow.If she accepts the former, remind her that all of us have suffered.
>>28051009[x] Tell her we won't tolerate any further subordination, then help her up. "Well, maybe if you were to be a good Culexus and actually informed me some when I ask, we could do some preparing and minimize her suffering. Right?"
>>28051009[X]"Pick up my hat.""Now, as I was going to say before you obviously had a muscle twitch. I am going to meet Girl A, I am going to talk with her. I am going to be civil because I need her. I am going to be civil because she is a member of MY officio. Now please pick up my hat, I won't ask politely again."
>>28051009[x] Leave her where she is. Inform her that, depending on the answer to your previous question, you were considering sending Yuma herself in as a gobetween, at least initially. If she still wants that, she should probably start acting like a member of the Ninth Officio, not some spoilt, hormonal bitch.
>>28051000Offer a hand to help her up. "Ok, Yuma, let's try this again. It was implied she was mentally unstable. I asked you how much. You sucker punched me. I beat the fuck out of you. Give me my answer and I will try not to impose on her more than is necessary."
>>28051009>Help her up. Ask her what she means.
>>28051009[X] Whatever we do, don't help her up, but don't force her down either. Just stare coldly down at her.
>>28051009>[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.
>>28051024I'd like to point out that not hugging it out is not always a relationship loss. She hit us. We hit her better. Now we're going to reason with her, like we were trying to do before she hit us.We're just...you know. Not good at that part.
>>28051009[x]OtherSay that life is not fair. We threw away any hope of being treated with fairness since we made the contract. Repeat the question and then add "Don't attack me again"
>>28051009>[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.also tell her to grow a sense of humor and THINK before acting
>>28051009[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.
[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.
>>28051070>Ask her what she means.Ha, as if we need to ask her what she means by "She doesn't deserve to suffer you again."
>>28051009[x] Help her up. Ask her what she means.[x] Other. If it helps, we can conduct the interview via you, and voice communication from outside the room. Hell, if that doesn't work, you can put on a cheery mask if you want so as not to scare her. Scaring her is not what you want to do. She's no use terrified, and you aren't a damn sadist.
>>28051075>>28051074>>28051070>>28051067>>28051066Do we really need to ask what she means by that? I'd say its pretty fucking obvious what she means.
>>28051050[X] this then ask her why she means
>>28051053>>28051044I like these two.
>>28051062Yes but a number appeared to be of the mind to continue beating or exert dominance by force which is the totally wrong approach to this relationship.
Chiaki can wear a culexus mask! That should work, right?
>>28051050>[X]"Pick up my hat.">"Now, as I was going to say before you obviously had a muscle twitch. I am going to meet Girl A, I am going to talk with her. I am going to be civil because I need her. I am going to be civil because she is a member of MY officio. Now please pick up my hat, I won't ask politely again."
To those of you answering to help her up, its a bad idea. She just attacked us, we just responded with physical violence. She may very well respond poorly to the helping hand: ie grabbing us and pulling us down for more violence.Leave her where she is, its her own fault she's on the ground like that. We don't need her to be on her feet to talk.
>>28051050Fucking seriously? Asking her to pick up our hat? What are you, twelve?
>>28051009[x]"I expected better behaviour from someone who learned under Kanade, Yuma Chitose. I am throughly disappointed with you. Starting off with the glaring, Insubordination and even violence against your superior, even if you could have come to me with your issues all this time instead of this."[x]HairflickIts time for a mumbled sermon!
>>28051087this is the part where we talk and act like human beings, do please try to act like one yourself
>>28051087This. We know about pinky, we know about her forced betrayal upon her friends, we know she is kept in a silent room for 99% of her stay here.
>>28051110Asking someone the blindingly obvious is being human?>>28050468>The girls whose friends you killed in front of her.^ In case it wasn't obvious, you can guess quite easily what we did.
>>28051009[x]"Let me guess. I did something before I had amnesia. Whatever it was, it was probably terrible. But, I'm not the same person I was then. I just want information, the normal asking way. I'm not asking you to like me, but I'm asking you to at least do your job and help me."
>>28051104>ie grabbing us and pulling us down for more violence.Yeah, good luck with that. We DO have a pistol-whipping had free if she does try that shit.
>>28051104I think we got the violence out of the way. Since she's now essentially pleading for Girl A instead of resuming her assault.
>>28051098Dominance works on Midori, but you're right it's not a good idea if we get it into our heads that we can punch our way through every social situation.
>>28051009[X] Hit her again
>>28051000>[x]Help her up. Ask her what she means.
>>28051050>[X] "Pick up my hat."I like it, and she did knock it off our head, but we can help her up afterwards. Ask her why she's feels this way. Omegon need a to open up a bit.Seriously is every MG fucked in the head or is it jus our officio?
>>28051087Most people are probably picking this option less because they don't know what she means, but more because it's less of a cunt option than the second choice and they're too lazy to do a write-in.
>>28051132>>28051137I've seen it happen more times than you would think. She is emotionaly charged, and acting on anger, we don't know that she's stopped her bullshit. She's a big girl now, and can stand up on her own time, and can respond on her own time. We aren't going to make an aggressive act, and aren't going to give her an opening for her own aggressive act.Hell, lying on the floor and crying might be good for her, for all we know.
>>28051148>Seriously is every MG fucked in the head?Yes.
>>28051157... do please reread Decu's post, we are well past the violence phase of this conversation
>>28051168She's swearing at us. She's still emotionally charged.
>>28051009Someone post a vote banana.
>>28051157Let her get it out of her system, then. "Informal grievance procedure" and all that. Then after all the beating is done, we can sit her down and talk her through it.
>>28051183Swearing =/= Emotionally charged.Or Have you never met an Australian?
>>28051053Nthing this.>>28051050Fuck no.
>>28051168I read it before, and I just read it again. When it comes to emotional instability and violence, never make assumptions. At most, we could ask if she's over it and then verbally offer to help her up; while making no overt physical action. It may sound roundabout, but in this situation it matters.
>>28051194She's swearing at us, after attacking us, and is probably still pretty angry.Have you ever into context? And I'm a fucking Aussie, mate. Don't kid yourself, there's a difference between cursing at someone out of hatred and casual fucking swearing.
>>28051009Fuck get into work, see this, post window closing>>28051050 this[x]>>28051009
If only there were someone sexier here. Surely they could resolve this.Counting so many writeins is hard.
>girl she's taken a liking to has suffered extremely, watched her comrades die, SENT her comrades to die and people are surprised she reacts with violence to the question "how fucked up in the head is she?">respond to that violence with more violence, and offer even more unless she does what we wantRemember that bit when we said we aren't Kharn, and we would never be Kharn? MISSION FAILED.
>>28051218Kharn would have just killed her.
>>28051218I hope decu doesnt use the "Pick up my hat".
>>28051224I really do too. I'm pretty bloody sure its being samefagged. At least two of them have the same fucked up formatting.
>>28051218We're not Kharn. 1: Yuma isn't head-first through a wall2: Yuma isn't lacking limbs or organs3: Yuma isn't having the tongue thing done to her in the middle of a corridor and still has all her clothes on.
>>28051223Kharn wouldn't have killed her, but she probably would have beaten the shit out of her.
>>28051217Yeh, I kind of wish Kyoko was here. But at the same time, I think had she punched us my vote would have been preceded by "Kyoko, I'm ordering you to stand still." Then violence.
>>28051104She looks to be pretty well humbled to me. I think we can safely say this fight is over.
>>28051236That is an excellent way to loose every kyoko point, ever. And get spitted by her spear.
>>28051235>Kharn wouldn't have killed her,You and I have interpreted Kharn's reputation and side-quests very differently.
>>28051224>>28051230It's copypasted from one anon to another, and there's only three votes for it, relax. Compared to 16 or something "help her up" votes.
>>28051217Truly the sexiest girlfriend.
>>28051240And my point is that looks can be decieving, I've seen similar situations turn to shit FAR too many times because of that assumption being made. This is the time to use words, and Yuma uses her words to indicate that the fight is indeed over and we can help her up? Then we do so. But not before.
>>28051248And what we just did was an excellent way to lose every Yuma point forever. But I wonder how is this going to pan out. We merely acted in self-defense and declared the matter settled on the spot when we could have done worse, WORSE things.
>>28051255This, I think it's a fair write in with legit votes but help her up was overwhelmingly voted for, not sure what they're concerned about, I myself figured home could do with commanding some respect an waving her duck in some faces.
>>28051269>uses her wordsTumblrfaggot
>>28051248I doubt it would have even gotten to blows has Kyoko been there. But even if she was there, we cannot allow insubordination.
>>28051277Now that is just uncalled for.
>>28051248Kyoko would have tackled Yuma after she took the first swing, thus cutting the whole thing short.
>>28051270I know but I was unable to stop the initial attack.I just hope it doesnt end too badly and some way of working things out shows itself
>>28051281Perhaps.If this is ultimately settled civilly, we should indicate that her getting the shit beaten out of her in fisticuffs by a waifish vindicare is probably punishment enough.
>>28051252Kharn may have her reputation but we've never seen her wantonly slaughter her own subordinates(or even those from other Officios) without really good reason.
>>28051289You're probably right. She's pretty good at reading situations. And she knows murderface. From now on I think we need an aid with us at all times.
>>28051269Dude, lrn2context. This isn't an enemy on the battlefield or some random hothead at a bar, it's our subordinate. She isn't out to pick a fight with us or actually cause us harm, she lashed out in a fit of anger because we badmouthed someone she cared about and she doesn't exactly think highly of us to begin with. You're assuming far more malice here than there reasonably should be.This is a brief scuffle over an emotional flareup, not an out-and-out fight.
>>28051325>She isn't out to pick a fight with us or actually cause us harmI dunno, her advancing with fists raised in a combat stance seemed like she was pretty intent on causing us harm.
>>28051320Agree. That's what there she is for, just like Malal was to Kharn. Unless Kharn was fucking some blonde.
>>28051302>I just hope it doesnt end too badly and some way of working things out shows itselfYou DO know this is MGNQ, right? Things don't work themselves out, angry eldritch abominations work them out in exchange for sexual favors.
>>28051320Kharn did drag Malal with her a lot of the time even though both of them were capable combatants and would have been more efficient apart in terms of doing missions. We could probably spare Kyoko for a fair bit more of the time, on base, if nothing else.
>>28051320We have one, it's blue and it sexes red.
>>28051318Generally because she had Malal on hand keeping her in check. It's pretty clear that she would have been murdering like daisies if she wasn't held in check.
>>28051346Yeah, I think this is one situation where emulating Kharn is actually the right decision.Though thinking about it, its more like emulating Malal.
so, should we keep our Equerry or our Aide with us at all times except when we're elbow deep in Midori
>>28051347Sayaka is our Equerry. She's there to tell us when we're being a fucking moron.Kyouko is our aide. She's there to handle people for us.Midori is our secretary. She gets shit done.
>>28051340>implying Malal didn't use a convenient table corner while watching.
>>28051347I think if Sayaka was there she would have hit Yume before we could have, and harder. Then pin her to the ground.
>>28051363We'll have both of them on the next mission. This will be a holiday romp.Maybe drag along Kumatora as an understudy. It'll be like a vacation.
>>28051363Midori's our secretary. She counts as the "minimum one supervising adult".
>>28051333Dude, once again, lrn2context. She was advancing with fists raised...and telling us to "take it back". If she simply wanted to cause us harm, she wouldn't have just advanced in a menacing posture, she would've followed up straight away with more blows. She is not out to hurt us. Period. She wants us to recant the statement that pissed her off, and she was pissed enough to resort to blows to get that point across. That's it.Seriously, there are different kinds of aggression. This is "you pissed me off" aggression, not "I want to see your guts smeared across the wall" aggression. She's just an emotional girl, quit treating her like a fucking enemy combatant.
>>28051365>Midori is our Midorifixed
>>28051381Unless they are otherwise busy. We can probably just take Midori and it'll be fine.
Anyone else. Anyone else had pulled this and executing them on the spot would be a non-issue. Anyone else and dusting their soul gem with the supersonic lead special would be less hassle than letting them live. Anyone else and we wouldn't have Kyuubey doing his freaky sighs. It just had to be the only Culexus in the officio.
>>28051381I thought we were going to take all 3 and have some destructive fun.
>>28051369>Implying Malal didn't need to be in the room at all times in case Kharn got a little too...frisky"Oh! OOOH!""Yes, yes!""Sexing noises!""Lets spice this up a bit!"VRRRRRRRRRRRRRM"KHARN, PUT THE CHAINSWORD DOWN.""Bu-""DON'T MAKE ME GET THE SPRAY OUT."this is probably unfunny as fuck
>>28051365I thought kyoko handled Sayaka for us. I'm pretty sure Sayaka would get upset if she found out Kyoto was handling other people for us on the side.
>>28051398I dunno, the idea of Malal having some kind of specialty Kharn spray (in clearly-labeled bottle) is kind of hilarious.Do you think she'd shake it at her and the noise would spook Kharn up the wall?
>>28051397Including Midori?Because I though we were going to have her piece together our file.Besides she did say she didnt want to be a killer.
>>28051398What, you mean you don't keep a chainsaw dildo in the bedroom?
>>28051325This isn't a battlefield, so she is still alive. This isn't some hothead at a bar, so we aren't going to leave the scene with her face down in the gutter. She is a child who just came out swinging in a fit of rage, who needs our attention. Thing about children and violent rage? Getting punched in the face and knocked to the ground doesn't put the rage out. They fester in it. We care about our subordinates, her included, which is why we are sticking around to talk with her, rather than have her thrown in the brig, or brig equivalent. She's an emotional kid, which is exactly why I don't want us giving her a chance to prolong her tantrum.
>>28051403Nope. we specifically brought Kyouko on staff because we recognised we suck at people, and she's good at it. Also it was a condition of her not complaining about having Sayaka as equerry.
>>28051422I thought it was because she is our bro and we wanted an excuse to bro around
>>28051377If both of them were there we'd be racing omegon to post it on Facebook
We need to help her up, apologize and then talk things out, but you know, not like a cunt.
>>28051410Well, techncially with her there we can make the mission a zero-kill run, since the client gives no fucks about whether there are casualties; it's a smash-and-grab, not a killing spree.Granted that's not as theraputic, but it's a thought.>>28051433Nope. She is a bro, but that wasn't the reason.
>>28051395Sorry dude I know you like the grimdark but I don't think even Kharn would have done this. She probably would have laughed a lot and slammed their head against the wall until it's cracked and bloodied and then left us for someone else to deal with, but the Officios haven't exactly been 40k hitlerland military fantasy as much as some might like it to be.
>>28051347Sayaka's our equerry. She cuts difficult situations down to size where we need a difficult situation pared down and we can't make it. Kyouko's our aide, she gets straight to the point of matters while ensuring things don't get too entangled up. Mami's the adjutant, she ensures operations are well rounded and services us all deeply. Midori's our sexcretary, she keeps our desk heated and is there to seduce our work away as a comfort person when back andwhat was I saying, I think I got distracted at the end there
We should totally show Omegon the picture we took of the Red and Blue in this lift.
>>28051398I would figure something more like."Oh! OOOH!""Yes, yes!""Sexing noises!""Ohh Warmaster, add my skull to your throne!""Ok!"VRRRRRRRRRRRRRM"KHARN, PUT THE CHAINSWORD DOWN.""Bu-""DON'T MAKE ME GET THE SPRAY OUT."
>>28051433A bit of both I think We need a nice relaxing witch hunt with the skittles just to unwind.
>>28051447>Midori's our sexcretary>sexcretaryClever.
>>28051447>she keeps our desk heateddont you mean chair.Chair-warmer MidoriSexcretary MidoriMidori Midori
>>28051454So is this why Kharn started collecting panties? Because Malal wouldn't let her take their skulls?
>>28051447>services us all deeply.hmmmm
>>28051489"You are such a buzzkill.""Your sex life is dildos.""...Yes, I know my sex life i--""Not like that.""NO FUN, MALAL. NO FUN AT ALL."
>>28051452Clearly omegon is immune to the effects o the hat...wait, holy shit her helmet is broken, we should totally put the hat on, see if elevator shafts amplify the effects or some shit.
Regardless of what happens, let's make a quick detour and let her clean herself up before we go visit our guest. It wouldn't do to have our guest see her only friend around here beaten to a pulp.
>>28051500You know, why AREN'T we feeling sick, since her helmet's smashed?Did she stop being a Culexus?
>>28051452Might work?I honestly dunno. Mood whiplash and all but has potential?
>>28051506I don't think it works that way. We smacked on a helmet, not her face.
>>28051510She was never a culexus at all
>>28051510These ARE combat suits, and Malal designed them. They're built to withstand getting thrown around without containment failing, I suspect.
>>28051516Still, it's got a fucking piece of it knocked out. Girl A might be distressed at that.
>>28051516The helmet is broken.Odds are she's got a shard or two of something in her face, or at least bruising.
>>28051516She was spitting teeth on the floor. Her helmet is clearly broken.
>>28051510I thought Murderface was said to be almost immune to this shit or something
>>28051533The plastic skull teeth that are part of the helmet got knocked off.
>>28051516Yes, but a smashed up helmet is still fairly noticeable.
>>28051510Either that or we're immune to the Culexus sickening effect?
>>28051533>She was spitting teeth on the floor....the visor turn to shards that metaphorically looked like spitting teeth
>>28051533>bits of polished, curved plexiglass clatter to the floor like broken teeth spilling from a freshly kicked-in mouth.>like broken teeth>likenot actual teeth.
>>28051495NO FUN MALAL was her official nickname.
>>28051537>curved plexiglass clatter to the floor like broken teeth spillingThe teeth are below the glass.
>>28051542She's not immune, she's just drunk herself into hangovers that have been worse.
>>28051553That's a metaphor, yo. She didn't actually lose any teeth.
>>28051552Now I want to see a version of this with Malal saying it.
>>28051573Read the post I was responding to.
>>28051575Kharn pouting while Malal adds another chaindildo to the confiscated items box. She puts a rock on the lid like she's keeping raccoons out of a garbage can.
>>28051581The one saying the 'teeth' are part of the visor?
>>28051550I think I misread that, so is the helmet broken or not. I'm thinking now that it was just cosmetic damage now. That's probably why we aren't sick, darn an here I thought we were in for another HaHaHa.
>>28051582Naw it was a bunch of marbles. Imagine the shame as all those marbles clatter to the floor. Imagine the look on Kharns face when Malal comes around and just folds her arms.
>>28051575The thing is, Kaname Kaneda has had plenty of time having fun as a biker girl with Sayaka and being a total delinquent.Malal is just very effective at making sure Kharn wasn't fucking up while ensuring her fun was routed in the right way. Instead of saying "you're not allowed to chainswordfuck her" she'd be saying "notes look like she'd enjoy the tongue thing on her bellybutton most" and dutifully noting things down without cracking a smile or a blush.
>>28051585Yes. The helmets have a skill decal on them, with teeth right below the visor.
>>28051587>it's here that bits of polished, curved plexiglass clatter to the floor like broken teeth spilling from a freshly kicked-in mouth. We cracked a few shards of it off, but we didn't actually break her literal teeth. It's vague if we even made a hole in the helmet, since glass can break and just drop some shards from the outer layer of the mask. Like when someone 'dents' a window slightly, know what I mean?
>>28051575that was easy
>>28051613How the fuck can Kharn be so moe?
>>28051670You forgot quotation marks around "Innocence".
>>28051670>>28051677"Childishness" is probably a better term.
>>28051677>>28051678No I didn't
>>2805164911/10, its perfect
>>28051649For a moment there, I read it as "..and it was dildos."
>>28051725Well, she *is* a healthy young girl...
>>28051725It really should be.
>>28051725That would be better, we need a new edit.
"Kha-oh for fucks sake Kharn, you can't molest the newbies!" "But one of them, she is blonde!""Don't make me spray you.""... You would not dare."*slosh*"YOU ARE NO FUN!"
20 seconds too long in mspaint
>>28051758I can see this. We need a version of this with Kharn being watered by Malal with the caption "Just spraying the Kharn"
>>28051795"No fun allowed."
>>28051758The spray is literally just tap water. Kharn hates anything not vodka. Water especially.
>>28051795Just spraying the Warmaster.
>>28051758I can imagine one of the times Kharn gets Enshie or whoever the Callidus Rank Leader at the time was to switch it out beforehand. Then laughing like a cartoon villain with the poor blond girl slung over her shoulder after the spray fails. And since Mala isn't a total buzzkill she would probably give her that one. But Kharn wouldn't able to pull that same stunt again.
>>28051823Actually, what would be better for this, "Warmaster" or "Betrayer?"
>>28051795I think it needs to be drawfriended.Malal spraying Kharn who has that same look.
>>2805178020 more seconds.
>>28051824>implying Kharn could outwit Malal.Malal was there to tell Kharn when Kharn was doing something stupid that wasn't blonde. Therefore Malal was more cunninglingus than Kharn.
>>28051851>absolutelydisgusting.rmpdildos are always fun.
>>28051862Exactly why she would abuse her powers as warmaster and get someone who might at least be on par with Malal to do it.
>>28051862>Therefore Malal was more cunnilingus than Kharn.>More Cunnilingus than Kharn>cunnilingusClever, but I don't buy it.
>>28051874>someone who might at least be on par with MalalThere is no such person.Malal is dead and she's STILL so far ahead of us we can't see her for dust. Seriously. She got to Kharn, she redacted our records and she's dripfeeding us stuff via our phone and soon the Servo Skull. Oh, and she HACKED OUR FUCKING INVENTORY.About the only character who's even close to playing on the same field as Malal is Kyubey, and honestly I'm not even sure about that.
>>28051911>and she's dripfeeding us stuff via our phone Honestly, after that pastebin with all the theories about the entries, I don't even know whats going on with that thing anymore.By the way, its been a while since we last checked it...
>>28051911Actually a lot of girls in the first can trump Malal.I can see Kharn somehow convincing one of them to do it. Then QB finds out about a massive sink in resources because Kharn wanted to molest one of the newbies.
>>28051862thanks now i can only imagine malal getting frisky and forgetting to take the helmet off so she just awkwardly headbutts her partner in the vagina by accident
>>28051938Well Culexus only make normal people slightly uncomfortable. So if she hooked up with a non-MG, she'd have no need for the suit.
>>28051911There are such people. Warmaster of the first, her equerry, probably all the rank leaders of the first. Probably a good number of the veterans of the first are on Malal's level.Or rather, Malal is on their level. Which is still above the 9th, 10th, 3rd, 7th, what have you.Have any of the profiles of the 1st ever been posted?I'd like to see how homu ranks against the vindi rank leader of the first.
>>28051926We've been wanting to try it for awhile now, but Decu hasn't given us a chance.
>>28051955Malal was like the Stig, the suit never comes off.Ever.
>>28051957I think the only thing we know about the girls of the First is their Warmaster's name. Which I forgot. We should really take the time to surf the web for hers and the profiles of other Warmasters.
>>28051968What would we use as a passphrase even if Decu gave us a shot? HaHaH?Isn't it 5 letters or is it 4?
>>28051976Her name was given in an after thread faq a while back, right? I can't remember what it was though
>>28051938Culexus exist on a much higher plane of suffering than most MGs.>>28051955I think it was during the SayakAmerica flashback when Malal said that unsuited Culexus make normal people dislike them, a lot. And that Yakuza would do very unpleasant things to them if they met one.
So we blowing off those legs?
>>28051986It was. Quite a while ago. I regret n ot saving it, ow I can't even remember what that thread was about.
C U L E X?
>>28051955While true, taking off the suit meant PINK HAIR EATS YOUR FACE KANEDA As per >>28051975The suit stayed on.
>>28051986If it was, then Decu should give it to us. The Tree promised to assist us in remembering things that have already been expressed. also have we tried KHARN?WENDY?MELON?QUOOB?GIRLA?NECO!?PENIS?

>>28051025 >>28051039 >>28051053 >>28051056You let out a sigh and shove the Golden Desert Eagle back into your inventory. The moment you let go of the grip is the moment that you suddenly feel cold, the aches and pains of last night suddenly coming to the fore. Above all else, you suddenly feel tired; tired of talking to people, tired of trying to be reasonable, and tired of hurting people when all you want to do is to curl up in your chair and eat pancakes until you die.The elevator grinds to a halt as you slap the 'Elevator Stop' button with the heel of your hand. Freezing your ride down below between the 8th and 9th floor of the building.Another sigh escapes your lips, before you look down at the Culexus you've just beaten up. Watching your own broken reflection from her cracked visor. It's here that you tell her, in the calmest and most level voice that you can muster at the moment - that you're going to start over with her. Try things again. You're both Magical Girls - everyone you know that's working this same gig is fucked in the head. Sayaka, Kyoko, and even Mami. Everyone's broken to some extent, one way or another. You needed to know if Girl A - Amane Haruka - was just as crazy as you, or worse. That was all you meant. The rest, she could write off as you being crazy too, but in the way that makes you an asshole.Yuma snorts at this, but ignore it as you continue. You were actually going to have her as a mediator, to try and work around Girl A's mental instability by having the Culexus be the one to ask her the questions, rather than you barging in and hitting every nerve to set her off by being said asshole. But of course, Yuma had to go and be stupid. You'll forgive her for that mistake - maybe - if she at least gives you a fucking chance to do this properly, and not keep jumping on your ass at the smallest goddamn thing.[1/2]
>>28052079anon is a cockslut.
>>28052087What about GIRLA
>>28052089If Yuma thinks she can get herself to do that, you tell her, then the both of you can work together to make sure Girl A doesn't go over the deep end. If not, well, you'll handle Girl A like you handle everything - with a short temper and a gun in your hand. You hold out your hand towards her, offering it."You don't remember." The Culexus shakes her head again as she chuckles hollowly, apropos of nothing. "Yeah, I know. Mami-san told me. Kyuubey told me. Even Kyoko-san made sure to remind me. Honestly, I really tried, Warmaster." She looks up at you, at your hand, and you swear you could see her eye peeking through one of the cracks in her visor. "But to hear you talk like you didn't do SHIT to her - I'm sorry. I lost control. I wanted to kill you."She takes your hand with a strong, sure grip, and you pull her up to her feet. ...She's not as light as she looks, what with her being just a few inches shorter than you, the same height as Kumatora. Must be the Culexus suit. You hear her grumble thanks, before she leans down and snatches your Warmaster Cap off of the floor, patting bits of visor away from it. She holds it out to you a moment later, and you take it with thanks of your own."You've broken Haruka, Warmaster. That's all I can tell you." Yuma shakes her head. "We spent the better half of her stay here diving into her mind and piecing her back together. After she came to our side and helped us identify who needed to be purged from our Officio, after she told us where her friends were hiding, something in her snapped. She just stopped living, like she died and forgot to lie down."You let the Culexus continue - it seems that the brief altercation, along with your frank assurance of her - that got her to talk, and it doesn't look like she's stopping until she's done. When we got her to return, she was more sad than happy, like we've fucked up somehow. And do you know why, Warmaster?" She gestures towards you. "She saw you in her future. The only prediction that came to her when she broke down. About you coming back into her life and finishing the job you started."You frown at this. If that's the case, then you definitely need Yuma as your mediator, then. She doesn't need to see you or talk to you, you just need some questions relayed so they can be answered."...That's what I've been trying to tell her, Warmaster." The Culexus shakes her head. "Haruka knows that one way or another, it'll happen. She wants you to be the one to go into the Silent Room, look her in the eye, and ask her your questions. She knows that the moment she sees you is when her nightmares become reality."What, like Pinky sneaking up behind her and snacking on her soul?"That's just one of them." Yuma nods. "Some of them involve you tearing out her heart and eating it. Others involve you standing in the middle of a ring of twenty golden swords, and you laughing as the world ends around you."Well, that's a hell of a thing, then."...Warmaster." Yuma says again. "I--"Chiaki, you correct her. Warmaster's if she pisses you off again. Yuma shakes her head."No, Warmaster, we're not that familiar with each other. Still, I...wish to ask you to please, try not to hurt Amane Haruka. She's been through a lot." She pauses, here, clearly uncomfortable with the formal, stiff way of speaking, but tries valiantly to continue nonetheless. "I apologize for my infraction earlier, and will be sure to report to the Equerry for the proper disciplinary action as befits insubordination. Just grant me this last request, and you won't get any trouble from me."How do you respond?

>>28052283>>28052289Okay, fuck the Incubator. We know that the girls of the First are fiercely proud of their Warmaster, holding her up as the pinnacle of everything a meguca is supposed to be. We also know that the First has a lot of agents up on the Moon and the rest are scattered round the world, probably as sleeper agents. You think said agents somehow missed one officio being absorbed and failed to inform their Warmaster?
>>28052285Could go either way.And we really can't compare us to any Warmaster, especially not the first. I said it in the last thread, we don't even know how this officio is run. We don't know shit that every other magical girl in this officio should know.
JUST FOR CLARITY'S SAKE VOTING IS OVER OKAY
>>28052308Got char sheets on other Warmasters, NECO?
>>28052307>We don't know shit that every other magical girl in this officio should know.I keep saying that we need to pick up the standard-issue Puella Magi's Uplifting Primer that we've been told exists and is handed out to every new Magical Girl, but it keeps getting passed over.
>>28052308Happy to oblige.
>>28052308Someone tried that with me and I almost broke their nose. On accident, of course.I'm awfully ticklish.
>>28052318>Puella Magi's Uplifting Primeryes. This surely exists. if it doesnt we make one
>>28052316As policy, sheets only go out when characters appear (unless the big guy says otherwise)!...Yuma and Haruka probably coming next thread.
>>28052295"You didn't ask." still applies, and that doesn't mean the incubators don't lie to their employees either.Look at it from their perspective. You have your warmaster who needs to run her officio, handle world-ending level events, keep in peak form, escort space idols, and other 1st level shit. You learn that her sister has been kidnapped and taken basically prisoner by your brother's contractees. This could damage your warmaster's ability to operate or at least distract her from what her goals should be.So you just don't tell her. Problem solved. Don't let her find out, no reason for her to have to deal with the problems of lesser officio's she's WM of the first.
>>28052308where is the next profile Dood!?
>>28052318Question is, does Decu have one written up? Because that's the only way we can actually have that information.
>>28052327Following a similar line of thought, we need to get a large three ring binder and fill it with information about ourselves for when the inevitable explosive amnesia hits again.
>>28052336Should go lighter with the breast pads.
>>28052302>>28052337If the warmaster wanted to find out, she could. She hasn't, so she never bothered asking.
>>28052348Just watch us come back and find out Malal still managed to fuck with it beyond the grave.
>>28052348make sure it is always in our whiskey and cigarette stash
>>28052337>You learn that her sister has been kidnapped and taken basically prisoner by your brother's contractees. This could damage your warmaster's ability to operate or at least distract her from what her goals should be.You know she could just ask for her sister to be returned, right? Would Coobz really dare to piss off the Warmaster of the First by refusing? After all, if she gives a fuck about her sister enough to ask, after refusal she might as well come down and take her by force.
>>28052351So she probably doesn't give a fuck about her sister and we have nothing to panic about. On that front, anyway.
>>28052359It could also be that she knows, and isn't doing anything about it. Considering her sister is required for this officio to work properly and there may be other shadowruns related to it.
>>28052351Maybe she knows? Haruka was Third, contracted to Ninth, betrayed the Ninth, got captured, then sold out her former friends on Malal's prodding... You know, sticking her in a silent room is letting her off easy.
>>28052359I'm saying that from the perspective of the incubator of the first. The incubator knows about the merger and probably about Haruka being taken in by the 9th. But he might not tell his warmaster to prevent it from ever becoming an issue. Of course this is just the directions my shadowruns are propelling me, I'm firmly in the party that believes the Incubators are still manipulating the officios to their own ends.
>>28052342The way that it could help is that Decu could weave warning and information from the Primer into Chiaki's inner monologue, such as "you remember reading about this in the Primer" or "according to the Primer, standard procedure is".
>>28052387Right, that's the other option. Either she doesn't know and doesn't care, or she knows and doesn't care.Or she doesn't know and does care, but just never bothered asking, in which case she's dumb and hopefully doesn't start.
>>28052353Just watch us come back and find out Faust still managed to fuck with it beyond time.
>>28052402>Simply replaces all the page with pictures of her suggestively posing with a Chiaki hugpillow while naked
>>28052401How about knows, cares and is alright with it because little sister fucked up bad?
>>28052401Or she doesn't know and does care, but the Incubator of the first is all, sorry, comm black out. Try again next time. Or just making it up. Or has his WM and the rest of the officio blindfolded gagged and hog-tied to be used by wealthy intergalactic aliens in exchange for large sticky deposits of heat
>>28052388But that's inefficient and Incubators are nothing but efficient. If she finds out through the sleeper agents that her Incubator has been withholding info, that destroys trust. That's an issue. On the other hand you can just tell her and if she cares, she can request the extraction of her sister. Or leave her to rot. Which seems to have happened. Now I wonder if powers run in the family. This sister is a prophet, the Warmaster of the First could have some similar ability.
>>28052415Knows, cares, and is alright with it because little sister is a sleeper agent
>>28052336Oh yeah, then why are we still missing a Kharn and Midori Charsheet?
>>28052419The stronger the magical girl, the more energy you can harvest from her absolute despair, right?
we could try AMANE in our app.
>>28052421Unless I'm mistaken powers are based off the contracts and contractee's family is of no consequence there, if it is a factor then, maybe the WM of the first can see forever?
>>28052423So even failures have their uses. Now that's proper and efficient allocation of resources, anon.

>>28052143 >>28052148 >>28052159 >>28052161After a moment's consideration, you nod. Request granted. You'll do your best to make sure even a single hair on Girl A's head isn't harmed but you can't promise that things won't turn out weird. Yuma nods here, just as you reach over to get the elevator moving again. "That's the best I can hope for, Warmaster, so I'll settle with that. Thank you. I'll report to Miss Sayaka after we're done."Huh? what for?"For..." The Culexus seems to hesitate, here. "For my disciplinary action, Warmaster. I did attack you."You shake your head. She beat you up, and you beat her up in return. That's punishment enough as far as you're concerned. But if she's looking for more, her punishment can be to stop giving Kyoko the cold shoulder. It's...how do you even get to that? You're an insufferable bitch, and you like Kyoko. Hell, Sayaka's the biggest bitch around and she loves Kyoko. What did Kyoko do, piss chocolate milk into her cornflakes?"What? I..." Yuma seems stunned at this. "No, nothing like that...i-it's personal, Warmaster, but nothing that needs to be talked about. I'll...see what I can do." It's here that you also notice the damage you've done to Yuma's helmet. ...Wait, if you damaged her suit, then why aren't you painting the walls with your sick five minutes ago? "Oh, this? This is just superficial damage, Miss Matsuda." The Culexus taps her visor. "We have a secondary seal beneath that's sort of a failsafe. Our suit also automatically compensates for any loss of performance from damage, but that's more of a temporary thing. Anyway, this isn't as major as it looks." A chuckle. "That, and I'm not the Culexus Miss Malal is."Really? Well. That's something. It's only here that you realize that Yuma used 'is', not 'was', like you usually would use for dead people. You don't bring attention to it. Could have just been a mistake.Even so, she's certainly done a lot to make sure people remember her.[1/2]
>>28052948A few moments later and a bit of walking, and you finally arrive at Amane Hazuki's Silent Room. The entire floor, it looks like, has been cleared away - you can spot places where they'd uprooted upholstery and fixtures in an attempt to turn the place clean, stringent, featureless. The Silent Room at the very center the only other feature in it - besides, of course, the automated gun turrets bristling from every corner of the floor, all of them aimed towards the small apartment-sized cube Amane Hazuki was imprisoned in."For security," Yuma says as you frown at the hundred or so loaded barrels tracking your every move. "They're keyed not to fire at anyone from the Ninth, don't worry."You weren't worried about that. You were worried about how much firepower Kyuubey thinks he needs to have one broken girl guarded."Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it." Yuma replies as she steps up in front of the large, steel door leading to the Silent Room, tapping out a five-digit number on the glowing keypad on its side. "Alright. Wait here, Warmaster. I'll go in first, announce you're here, and when I call, you step in." She looks at you. "And please, keep your Hat in your inventory. It'll remind her of the Betrayer."Ah. Right. You stuff the symbol of office into your inventory. That's fixed."Alright..." There's a large creak as the Culexus tugs on the large door handle welded into thick steel, and she slips through the gap between the door and jamb as soon as enough room presented itself. You immediately catch the whiff of...something. Tea, it smells like. Freshly brewed. ...Wait, she's brewing tea inside a Silent Room? You hear a muffled conversation from behind the door. The steel's too thick for anything to clearly carry across, but from the vox-static from Yuma's helmet, you know they're having a very intimate conversation. [2/3]
>>28052957You hear a giggle, then, and the sound of delicate crockery shifting around - and it's here that Yuma pokes her head from behind the door. "Come in, Warmaster. She's ready."You do so, excusing yourself from the intrusion - and you blink as you see that the Silent Room is...well, it's certainly furnished. A really comfortable looking four-poster bed was at one side, along with a small but elegantly-wrought closet carved from mahogany. The floor is carpeted, and there's a small kitchen at the far corner, where a tea kettle cooled on a single stove, alongside a rice cooker. The scent of freshly-baked cupcakes teasing your nostrils. And then, suddenly, it happens. A sudden change in the air. A gasp of breath, followed by the sound of a tray of delicate crockery shattering into a million pieces on ceramic-tiled floor. You turn towards the source of the noise, and see a pale Amane Haruka, skin almost as pale as her hair, her eyes wide and staring. Her now-empty hands grabbing, twisting at her simple white dress, as she tried to say something but couldn't choke it out."Haruka-chan? Haruka-chan, no, it's...it's not Murderface. Haruka-chan!" Yuma steps forward, both gloved hands held out to placate. "Please, don't--"She starts screaming. Loud, long, keening and fearful. Blood-churning screams usually reserved to those slowly being hacked into pieces, or someone whose soul is being eaten by a pink-haired eldritchian nightmare.Screaming as though she would never stop. And surprisingly - disturbingly - at the same time that your Shield started clicking. How do you react?

Mitakihara City. It’d been almost six months since I’d been here – hadn’t gotten to sit still for more than a couple of days at most since everything went to hell. Hadn’t gotten a lot of time before Nico…happened, either. …She probably had another girlfriend by now. She probably didn’t really need me anyway. Not with Miss Tomoe there. A billion useless, depressing thoughts raced through my head as I stepped into of the exit terminal at the airport. …But…one thought outweighed all the rest of them. After months of running and hiding, I was going to see her again. I was going to see Murderface for the first time in forever. …Kinda made the bullshit worth it. We could figure out what to do about the rest. Maybe I could get the Ninth to take Lily and Sab in for now, and Nakajima’d probably come too if we had a plan for bailing Annie’s dumb ass-“Wendy-san!” I nearly leapt out of my skin at the sound of Miss Tomoe’s voice. …It felt a little like returning home, already, as she crossed the terminal with long, purposeful strides. I offered half a wave before my blood ran cold.(1/16) (I am sincerely sorry for this)
>>28053235Malal's cool status is fluctuating for me. What was Pinky's name as Sayaka's mentor?
>>28053198>not being scared of that fucking monsterno anon
>>28053244How did she know I was going to be here? We were supposed to be KIA, and I was damn sure the Ninth didn’t have a bead on our location even if they didn’t buy it; if they did, I probably would have had to gut Mickey by now. If Mami saw my face fall, if she saw my fingers clench around a knife that wasn’t there – one I had to force not to appear – she hid it well as she approached me and squeezed my hand.“I’m sorry about this, but I need to see you before you do anything else.” She tugged hard on my hand, but I didn’t move right away. Our eyes met for a moment, and the warm honey-gold in hers seemed to ice over. This wasn’t a request, she was telling me. So I…let her do it. I let her lead me off, out of the airport. She had a cab waiting and everything.…She knew exactly when I’d be here, and it set my teeth on edge. Somebody was a stupid asshole that was going to get us all purged, and when I got back – if I got back – I was going to start skinning people until I found out who.---(2/16)
>>28053227The girl just wanted to have a snack. You don't stand between a girl and her chosen snack.

>>28053244Waaaai, Wendy-san's ba->1/16you motherfucker
>>28053257“Viola called me in advance.” Well. That narrowed down the skinning step. “She thought it might be best to…make sure we were aware that we’d misunderstood the situation.” So she wanted to make sure nobody shot me in the head while I was here. …I didn’t believe that; V wasn’t that kind or that stupid. Miss Tomoe was sugarcoating it. I just nodded, hands fidgeting in my lap.We were sitting together in a deluxe suite in some upper-end hotel that I didn’t catch the name of, supposedly some of the stiffer competition for the king shit of Japanese hotels here, The Hotel. Couldn’t exactly argue with that reputation, though – the room nicer than the Equerry chambers back in Santa Destroy. Might have been nicer than the twins’ room, too. You couldn’t even see the semen stains on the ceiling from whatever freaky bullshit the upper-class in Mitakihara did with the prostitutes here - it was almost like they weren’t even there. The tea Miss Tomoe had prepared was hot and sweet, with a little milk and honey she’d poured for me herself. It felt strange in my mouth. …Guess I hadn’t had anything but water, whiskey, and the occasional can of Hassy since we’d left the city. Maybe it was just…warmer than I was used to. Or kinder. Or maybe I just missed Miss Tomoe, too.The two of us sat in silence for a long time – most of a cup of tea, downed with thought and trepidation. She looked like she had a lot she wanted to say, and her half-lidded smile was fixated on her teapot. …It looked a little bitter. This was going to be a long meeting, and not in any kind of good way.“She doesn’t remember you, Wendy.” When she finally spoke, she dropped it all at once. A huge, ugly bombshell that made me choke on my tea. I managed to gasp out a ‘What?’, and she repeated it, quieter now.(3/16)
>>28053233So is our prisoner related to the Warmaster of the First? Does her sister not give a fuck that we have broken her relative?
>>28053268Best Girl, do you have a pastebin for that so I don't have to read through them all post by post?
>>28053268“Murderface doesn’t remember you. She isn’t the same person anymore.” She poured a cup of tea with a nonchalance that sort of disturbed me, and leaned over to refill mine as well. “She’s…better now.”…Better? I barely managed to creak out a noise. My heart had stopped. My voice didn’t want to cooperate.“She’s going by a new name now, and she’s…working off some bad habits. Some of the things I tried to teach her that didn’t quite work out before are sticking now. You know, she managed to navigate her way through a very messy situation involving an idol company recently… …It wasn’t perfect, but I’m awfully proud of her.”She took a sip, apparently musing on what she wanted to say next. Or watching for my response. My eyes stayed locked onto hers, and my hand twitched. Why was this supposed to be okay? Was I supposed to just…be happy about this?“I’ve recommended her as the Ninth’s next Warmaster, in fact. It isn’t a position I’m…especially interested in, myself, and I really think Chiaki-san has real potential.” There was an odd emphasis on the new name. She wanted to make sure I remembered it.…Warmaster? ‘I bet I can kill the pitcher from here’ Murderface as the Warmaster?“She’s a different person now, Wendy-san. She’s finally getting rid of some of the awful habits she’d picked up from Kharn and…” Miss Tomoe nibbled her lip a little, then sighed softly. “And from you, Wendy.” She stared into her tea, giving the implications a moment to sink in. …Not that they needed to. It hit me almost as hard as the amnesia.(4/16)
>>28053264Your a bit late
>>28053244>Wendy Cooldown>Mami>1/16T-there's no reason t-to panic, r-right?Hahaha!
>>28053283Oh. Oh fuck no. She was trying to tell me I wasn’t good enough for her little girl anymore.“Wendy, please. That isn’t the only reason. If it were just that…we could have a few words, you could promise me a few things, and maybe if you let me chaperone you two for a while…well, we could come to an agreement. But that isn’t the worst of it.” She breathed deep, her eyes catching mine again and freezing ice-cold.“…I’m sorry, but to be completely and brutally honest, we have no concrete way of even verifying that you are who you claim to be. Do you understand? Disappearing for nearly half a year and reappearing just in time to take advantage of a fledgling Warmaster – and one compromised by memory loss, as well - the timing is a little odd, wouldn’t you agree?” I felt like my soul was being drilled through as she fixed those piercing eyes on mine. …My knife had come home of its own accord again, and my hand squeezed around the handle in my lap.No. No, I don’t fucking agree. …My voice cracked. She had no idea. She had no idea all how much shit I’d been through in the past few months, with Nico, and Annie, and whatever the hell Mary’d turned herself into, and…and the fucking church, and the First-“Shhh. Shhh. …I’d like to do what I can for you, Wendy. But it would be much easier for the both of us if you would just…read between the lines for me.” Her finger traced the edge of her teacup as our staredown broke. “I know subtlety isn’t necessarily something the Rabbits do well, but-“But fuck off. Run away and never return. And you don’t even have the balls to just say it.“Wendy, that isn’t what I meant. But showing up out of nowhere isn’t helping-“ I slammed my hands on the table, nearly upending it, and pushed myself to my feet.I was going to see her. I needed to see her.(5/16)>>28053279It'll be up on my twitter at the end. Might link it here if people want, too.
>>28053283Whoah, so the first time we met Wendy in that dream (I think that was the first) was also the first time they'd interacted since Wendy found out about the forgetting thing? That puts it in a new light.
>>28053295“She isn’t even in the country right now, Wendy-san. And I’m rather glad, in the state you’re in.” She saw it. The knife in my hand. Her tone turned to frigid steel, and she quietly set her cup down. I could see it. I could practically hear it. The muscles in her body were tense. She was ready for things to go south any moment now.It hurt. It really hurt. I didn’t want Miss Tomoe to think of me that way. …But I wanted to put my knife right through her smiling fucking face, too. Still…her body relaxed as she felt my resolve waver.…It didn’t, not for long. Maybe she thought I was better than this. Maybe she thought she deserved it. Nobody could tell what Mami Tomoe was thinking most of the time. …My arm snapped. I didn’t even mean to do it, exactly, it was like…I don’t know. I wasn’t thinking anymore. I couldn’t see her even if I wanted to. She didn’t remember me. She was better off without me. That’s what Mami was saying. Even if she believed me, it didn’t matter.Fuck her. Silver flashed through the air, and everything seemed to move in slow motion. I could swear I saw perfect blonde curls reflect off of the steel of my knife as it flew, and then, nothing. …She was expecting it, naturally. Miss Tomoe was First material, I heard people say. An excellent negotiator. A peerless magical girl. A marksman without equal, and a fighter that could hold her own against the Betrayer if she needed to. A paragon, a shining, golden goddess.(6/16)
>>28053307My body reacted before my brain. Instinct, I guess. Maybe I heard the click of rifle’s hammer. She’d pulled one from nothing, as she dove, and more rained from the ceiling, the muzzles digging unnaturally into the carpet. The shot shaved a few brown hairs away from one of my braids as I dove and rolled myself; it would have been dead center if I’d reacted a millisecond later, and the hole in the wall behind me argued that it would have taken most of my upper body with it.What the flying fuck did she put in those things? She was up in a flash, and yellow ribbons spread out from her like a spiderweb as she effortlessly drew the next musket and fired. Another near miss, but that was all I was going to get if I didn’t get the hell out of this crowded space. She’d have me pinned in no time with those fucking ribbons. I tore through the hole she’d made into the neighboring room. Soft clicking noises surrounded me as more and more muskets fell out of pentagrams in the air, and a hail of percussion sounded from behind me.Shot after shot, barely avoided. My scarf was in tatters already from near-misses as it flailed behind me. She wasn’t aiming at my head, or even center-mass now. She was herding me away from the windows, I think. Keeping me from bailing outside, where it’d be harder to follow me.I risked a glance over my shoulder after the third room we passed through. She was keeping pace like it was nothing- bounding through walls and over debris, scooping up and firing rifles with an effortless grace, ribbons spiraling out in torrents. Looked like she was feeding them out into the hallway, too. …Worse, though, was her expression.(7/16)

>>28053307>she attacked MamiUNFORGIVABLE
>>28053319It wasn’t a glare. It wasn’t even a frown. It was…nothing. A serene, empty expression, the kind of face I figured she made while she trimmed bonsai trees or something. Every shot threatened to blow my body into a fine mist, including the reconstructed pile of hate and debris that passed for my soul gem, and she didn’t seem to feel any particular way about it.Guess that’s why they’re the Murderers. The Ninth is just as bad as us. Maybe worse; least we have the dignity to show we’re monsters. We’re not just…liquid cool office ladies chasing down other magical girls like it’s nothing. Like it’s another appointment, wrecking up some building that’ll probably cost tens of thousands to fix. Not to mention the lawsuits, it wasn’t like the QB Heavy hard carte blanche in Mitakihara. Mami Tomoe did not give a single fuck about any of that.Just getting to watch her like this made it almost worth it.I kicked hard to the side once I crossed into the next room. Changing directions like that killed my momentum and I might even feel it in my ankle later, but as yellow ribbon raced past my body where my throat had been moments prior, I knew I’d made the right choice. Two steps, then the wall - I leapt, kicked off, and – perfect! Miss Tomoe’s graceful expression twisted lightly as I tackled her into her own ribbons. I could see just a hint of a shine, tiny strands that crossed the room on top of the few I’d already seen, and I realized she’d been sending razor-thin strips, near-invisible wires along behind me in case her shots didn’t discourage me enough.Well, didn’t help her any. She was the one that had to deal with them as they cut through her nice suit and into her skin. After just a moment, they all slackened at once, sending us to the ground together.(8/16)
>>28053307>Attacking MumiwelpWhy are you making your own character worst girl, Cooldown?
>>28053330I did it in one smooth motion, one I’d already started as I rode Mami Tomoe to the ground – an overhand stab with both hands, with all the force I could put into it. It’d be enough to sink the knife into an ordinary human to its handle, to pin them to the ground entirely. I’d almost done the same to Miss Tomoe as I plunged it into her torso, right under her ribs. I pushed off right away, then, and made a break for the window. It wouldn’t stop her for long. I knew that much as I busted through the window. It might be enough. It’d probably be enough. My arm groaned a little in protest as I caught my broom about ten feet down, yanking myself up and onto it as I hurtled off into the night. That was close. Way too close. I’d have to stay out of here for a while, probably. …Kinda defeated the purpose of picking a fight in the first place. Shit.…(9/16)
>>28053331I'm sure there's a perfectly logical and totally sane reason and that Best Girl will remain Best Girl and this is all a ruse, Wendy for RuseMG of the century.
>>28053328Eh, she deserved it.
>>28053345The whole thing jerked a second after I got settled and I nearly fell off the back. The rear end of the broom tilted, dragged down by something soft and sweet and a little too persistent. I knew what it was the moment I felt it, and a quick glance confirmed – yellow ribbons wrapped around the base of my broom, with a still-bleeding office lady clinging to the other end. Hell of a reaction time. Good shot, too, not that I was surprised exactly. She didn’t give me time to think about it, either – she was hurtling up toward me already, reeling her ribbon in like a grappling hook from a video game. I hacked at the stupid ribbon with my knife but it was a no-go – reinforced a couple of times over, seemed like. Guess when you only have two tricks you get really, really good at them. She dodged easily as I hurled the knife down at her (not a surprise there, either, it was half-assed at best; I was busy steering) and I could only hope squeezing a few shots off from my service pistol would slow her down a little more.It didn’t, but it didn’t really matter. I had an idea. I pulled down hard, toward another feature of the skyline, an office building. She only had fifteen feet of ribbon left. Even less. This’d be close. I kicked the speed up as hard as I could make my little imaginary broom go, then I made a hard turn.CRASH. Eat shit, Mami Tomoe. I eased off the throttle back to a more controllable speed as I felt the weight leave my broom. …It was over, I wanted to say. But I was sure I’d heard a shot from inside.…No, there was another. And another. Shit. Shit shit shit.(10/16)

>>28053352As the walls gave way to clear, pristine glass, I saw her there, tearing through the rooms, blowing away the walls. We locked eyes for a moment, and I could swear she smiled. My cheeks burned and my heart skipped a beat as she leveled yet another rifle at me. The shot whistled just past my ear, wrecked one of my braids entirely. …Kinda funny what you remember in situations like that. Her aim was off while she ran like this, as near as I could guess The glass threw her off, or the unsteady movement of my broom, or the effort of having to keep up while shooting more or less perpendicular. That was about the only break I was going to catch, and I was grateful for it.…I’m a little embarrassed that it didn’t occur to me to just drop down, to just run away. I don’t know. Felt like it would have…ruined it, somehow. Like this was something we needed to do. …Maybe I was just having fun, for the first time in months. Maybe I wanted to die.She burst through the other side of the building in a shower of stars, a cascade of sparkles that would have made any high-budget bullshit mahou shoujo anime look like a crappy B-movie. With a graceful twist the sky became a ballet of yellow ribbons – a cannon blast of yellow confetti to the roof down below, and a graceful hydra that dove for my broom, and for every part of my body. I dove, then, my common sense finally returning to me. It was a little bit too late. There was a pressure on my wrist, squeezing it tight. A single ribbon. A single goddamn ribbon out of a massive cloud. It tore me away from my mount as Miss Tomoe landed gracefully on the roof. Moments later, I swung into a building that felt like it was made of steel. No glass for Wendy, fuck me. Pretty sure that building still has a dent shaped like my body somewhere between the thirtieth and fortieth floors.(11/16)
>>28053361I had a few seconds to pull myself together as she reeled me up the side of the building. She met me with an impassive stare. …She hadn’t taken the time to set this up as an arena or anything, aside from the ribbon on my wrist, now tied to a huge bundle of them that were anchored to various things on the roof.…Kind of surprised she didn’t just shoot me after she dragged me up.Whatever the reason, I didn’t waste any time. I wasn’t going to kill her. I didn’t even want to hurt her. But when I had my footing, I leapt, twisted in the air to catch her throat with my knife as I flew over her. The ribbon on my arm was obnoxious, made me adjust my angle and my stance too much, to keep it from coiling around me. My knife bit into her, but it was shallow, dug into her shoulder instead. Didn’t matter. I was on the other side. I had a plan. The moment my feet hit the roof again, I lunged toward her keeping my body low. It wasn’t my best approach, the angle I’d landed at threw me off a little, but I’d adjusted enough, I thought. Enough for my knife to find her stomach and dig in hard.…She moved off to the side at the last moment, and I moved with her, kicking as the butt of a rifle grazed my shoulder, where my neck had been. I couldn’t twist my knife into her, not quickly enough, but my elbow found her stomach instead, and it sent her stumbling away. …The stab from earlier was mostly healed already. Something I’d expect from Mickey, not Miss Tomoe, but she’d probably had to put effort into it.She was burning a lot of magic for this. I was flattered.(12/16)
>>28053366I tried to follow up as she staggered back, but the ribbon on my wrist was too tight, yanking my arm away as I closed in and throwing me off-balance. I caught a fraction of a second of Miss Tomoe’s windup before her rifle collided with the side of my head in a perfect homerun swing, sending me spiraling across the roof.“…Is that all the rage of your misbegotten kind is worth, Cooldown?” Her words were jagged spears through my gut. This wasn’t the Mami Tomoe I’d spent evenings with before, the one Murderface adored, the one that’d taught me how to make pancakes that made panties drop. She was…something more. Something different. She crossed the roof soundlessly as I pulled myself back to my feet, fighting back the urge to vomit courtesy of the brand new concussion. There were no rifles now. …I could have finished this already. I should have been able to. Tomoe had kept me off-balance the entire time, and even now, the only time I should have been able to fight, I was tied down. …I had my footing down now. She wouldn’t avoid it this time. Just a few steps closer…closer…Two steps. No, a step and a half. Faster than a human could have reacted, faster than a human would have even seen, I was on her. I saw it in my head already glancing blow to her stomach, a distraction, then I could sink my knife into her spine. Easy throat shot from there, just in case. …I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to hurt her like that.…Yeah I did. I could already taste her blood in the back of my throat. Sorry, Mami. I let you shoot at me for way longer than I should have. Twenty-one feet for a human. Maybe a third of that for a magical girl. Closer than that, and you’re already dead. That’s the misbegotten rage of the Wonderland Corps. It was shit like this that made it worth it.(13/16)
>>28053382The wind whistled by my ears as I moved, as my knife slipped past her stomach in a quick, tight movement. A shallow cut, half-dodged, just like I expected. I kicked to a halt in a flash and extended my arm, bringing it back to sink my knife into her spine, and-CRACK.She’d grabbed it. Grabbed onto my wrist in that split second, and jammed her palm into my elbow, bending my arm back unnaturally until it snapped. The pain was excruciating as I kicked away – she hadn’t even let go, and it extended my broken elbow on top of everything else. My knife appeared in my other hand, the ribbon hand, and in a fit of desperation, one last shot, I rocketed toward her, to bring it down onto her face instead. She whispered something as I hurtled toward her, and I felt her fist impact my midsection…hard. Harder than I’d ever been hit before. Harder than Annie’d ever snuck in on me, harder than I’d gotten from Miss Marigold, even. I could hear my ribs crack, feel my organs rupture as a gout of blood spewed from my mouth and onto Miss Tomoe’s face, as my knife fell from my hand and bounced onto her shoulder.‘Tiro Finale’, that was what she’d said. Sounded a hell of a lot better than ‘Lolita Crusher’. I’d have to pass it on to Annie.(14/16)
>>28053388My vision faded in and out, and I felt the building below me hit my knees, then my hands, then one elbow as my right arm gracefully reminded me it was completely fucked. A few seconds passed before my failing eyesight made out something new – pantyhose-clad knees under a short skirt, settling in in front of me as I was helped back onto my heels.…She’d wiped the gross vomit-blood off of her face with a handkerchief, and gazed down at me with cool, golden eyes as she did the same for me, for the blood lingering around my mouth. The scent was sweet and overwhelming as she pulled me into her arms, and I could feel my eyes burning as I buried my face in her neck.…I’m sorry, Mami.“I know.”I didn’t mean to.“I know. You’re a good girl, Wendy. You were just upset.”I nodded a little as…as it started to rain. Rain that wet the skin of her neck. Made me sniffle as she ran her fingers through my hair, as she urged me to relax. She gingerly removed my tattered scarf and eased my other braid out of its tight tie, and I could feel tight, yellow ribbons wrapping around my body.Makeshift bandages. Around my broken arm, and around my stomach and my chest, winding in under my dress. My shoulder, the one that had collided with the building, and around my aching neck, with a bow in the back and everything. Heh.As my body relaxed, as the adrenaline started to fade, I blacked out to a gentle caress and a heavenly scent.---(15/16)
