>Rolls and Persona Quest
When I call for a roll, I'll select the highest of the first three rolls made in response to the post calling for it. Natural 1's and natural 20's within the first five rolls count as critical failures or successes, and override the first three roll rule. Natural 1's and 20's negate each other. Only rolls linked to the post asking for them count, unless they are acting as corrections to misrolls that are linked to the proper post.

>Routine

The next week goes by relatively quickly... Each day, you wake up early, prepare lunch for Nanako, yourself, and your friends, then head to school. Eating lunch on the roof, you keep passing the same upperclassman on the way up, exchanging nods.

In the afternoons, you split your time between training in the TV world and spending time with your friends.
In the evenings, you relax at home, sewing until it's time to cook dinner. Dojima seems to be working late every day this week, for some reason.

Tuesday, sports clubs open up for registration, and it seems that only a couple are actively seeking new members, namely basketball and soccer. Cultural clubs are accepting members on the coming Monday, so that's something to consider.

...Wednesday comes around, and you show up at your new job in uniform, working alone since the other attendant scheduled for that day had to take time off due to an illness in the family. Pity you didn't get to meet your new coworker yet, but you did get the goodwill of the boss for putting up with working solo.

On Sunday, you get a message with shifts you can work in the coming weeks....Any two weekday afternoons. You just need to let the boss know today when you want to work... Seems taking that shift last week is giving you options...

>What days did you choose to work this week?

Monday rolls around again, and you find yourself at your school's gate a bit early again...

What are the "Cultural Clubs"? Can we actually get a list of clubs? I know there was talk about a club for practicing swordsmanship, and another for home economics (to boost sewing and cooking).

>Tuesday and Thursday
>>
Rolled 5, 17, 15, 6, 20 = 63

>>27940404
Tuesday and Wednesday. The sports clubs meet T/Th, so we don't want to lock ourselves out of those.
>>
EXP, OP? Has Cooking & Sewing been updated?
>>
>>27940518
We'd still have Monday for culture clubs and Saturday for sports clubs. So we wouldn't be completely locked out. But your point has merit. I change my vote from Tuesday/Thursday to Monday/Wednesday. We can spend Tuesdays at culture club and Thursday at sports, then take Friday and Saturday for S-Linking and Shadow punching.
>>
>>27940590
Also, when you get down to it, we probably don't NEED a real job. Once we get the gas-station S.Link to 10, we can drop it: there's bound to be someone in town who needs a job and, unlike us, can't go fight Shadows for petty cash.

Monday/Wednesday should work, though. (I'd thought culture clubs met M/W/Th instead of M/T/Th.)

Damn. They're separate clubs, not part of a Home Economics club?
>>

>>
>>27940765
>>27940783
Yeah cooking and sewing are grouped together as Home ec
>>
>>27940798
Sucks. It means we can't join or make a Home Economics club then. It'd be redundant.

No Kendo?

Hmm.

Well, there's the two existing ones.

But if we made our own club? Something that covers fighting, maybe.

Maybe a LARP club. Or "General Martial Arts & Sparring" club. We could probably find a teacher or a local who knows *any* of it that'd be willing to sponsor it. I know some schools bring in part-timers/volunteers for specific clubs or programs. Just someone with some kind of background in it.
>>
>>27940739
We can't do that. Shadows aren't dropping money in this quest. Instead they drop crafting materials Teddie can use. That's why we're looking for a job. Though we might be able to make some money selling his creations as jewelry. He's a pretty artistic little guy. We'll compensate him for his labor with delicious treats. Of course, once he gets a human form he can start selling them himself, and we'll no longer be needed. But hey, Teddie having his own source of income will be good, so I won't begrudge him it.
>>
>>27940803
>Ah, then correction.

>Not actively recruiting but really couldn't stop you from joining cultural club: Home Economics

>>27940872

>Kendo club closed last year, when the people actually interested in it left.

>Starting your own is a possibility...
>>
>>27940872
What would be really awesome would be if we could get Master Daidara to sponsor a club. Not sure if he'd go for it, but introducing the young folk to the beauty of traditional weapons craft should be right up his alley. I think he's have fun with it. And then we'd have a legitimate excuse for our collection of sharp metal objects, just in case someone asks why we've got a nagamaki under our coat.
>>
>>27940901
Home Economics and starting a "General Martial Arts" club sound good?

If we need an adult, we can probably find someone, like a teacher or volunteer with a knowledge/background in any martial-arts related thing (Ex-Mil, Hobbyist, Daidara). Volunteers too, because small towns will know if that person is trustworthy.

>>27940930
Sniped. Yes. Daidara would be pretty good since he likely has a broad range of knowledge in martial arts.
>>
>So, brute force your way into Home Ec, and try to form a Martial Arts club is your plan?

>If you're sure....
>>
>>27941117
Im for basketball to be honest
>>
>>27941117
Man, when you say it like that we sound like assholes. We're not going to brute force our way in, we're just going to politely approach the club and ask if we could join in their activities, we know they're not recruiting right now but we think this is a really interesting hobby and would like to participate.
>>
>>27941117
Hold on. Please hold on votes because things must be clarified.

You're saying we have a low chance of Arcana from Home Ec, yes? But it's guaranteed with any of the other Culture or Sports clubs?

>>
>>27941249
Well, he said low chance of the Sun Arcana, specifi-- yeah, >>27941344.

Come to that, though, I'm not sure where we would go for Sun Arcana outside a performance club. (Under other cultural circumstances I'd suggest a street musician, but you're not likely to see one of those here.)
>>
>>27941344
I know this is a bit powergamey, but you are warning us. So no Home Ec. We can still improve our Sewing/Cooking at home anyway. I didn't want to risk our PC ending up a Jack of All Trades, which is why I wanted Home Ec, but Drama. Drama can impart social skills, like lying anyway.

The other will be our new Martial Arts club.
>>
>>27941409
This works. Besides, music probably takes a lot more investment of time unless we use something like a harmonica.
>>

I have to contest this if this is the reason why we can't have the big talk with Dojima. Can't we just stay up particularly late? Or go to bed and wake up early so we catch him?
>>
>>27941527
Will we still get Kou and Daisuke for our sports club? They're already in a state of superposition between soccer and basketball, collapsing the waveform to kendo wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I can't remember, what was it that was so urgent? Was it just follow up on the Dark Half-Minute, or what? Either way, I figure Minako's going to be pretty spooked.

Well, maybe not quite with that phrasing. But yeah, let him know we really should talk.

Wait, what exactly did we need to talk with him about?
>>
>>27942468
Other than the fact it probably isn't good for Nanako's mental health to stay home alone until one of us comes home, there's the fact that she'd be home alone.

Home alone after the JOKER summoner got a look at both of us. He can find our house by recognizing us if a schoolmate, or by looking up Dojima's address.

We'd acknowledge that we both have important duties or even time for ourselves but we should work something out to make sure she isn't vulnerable.

Perhaps we could take her to our clubs at the least. I can't imagine the school having a problem with it when we bring up the fact there's a serial killer running around. Besides, Nanako is pretty mature and well-behaved.
>>
>Head to class

You trudge on into the school, heading to your classroom earlier than normal.

Taking a moment after you sit down, you send your uncle an email saying that you want to have a talk with him, preferably tonight...

Shaking your head, you take a look around.

Chie and Yukiko are talking with each other. Yosuke is sulking for some reason. The two girls who sit by the window are talking about the thing rumored to be seen slinking around the old coal mines...

...Wait, what?

"-heard that it's some sort of demon, called up from the underworld by the spirits of the miners who lost their lives there years ago." The ponytailed girl says, leaning back and whispering to her friend.

"Oh, please. You know it'll turn out to just be some streetpunks using it as a hiding place." The darker haired girl with a shorter hair cut sighs. "It explains all those break ins at stores over there."

...Her friend looks to be about to continue, but stops as Morooka walks in.

...You brace yourself for a ranting lecture...

>Pay attention to the class, including the rant?

>Pay attention

'....Dear god, when is he going to stop complaining?' you think as you pay attention to this rant.

...

...The morning's lecture is awful. You feel like you've gained nothing in terms of knowledge as the bell rings and your teacher leaves the classroom.

Heading up to the roof with the lunch you prepared for your friends, you give a nod to the same upperclassman as usual on your way by him. Seems he's sorting some flash cards today.

Stepping out, it looks like you're the first one here. A short minute passes before Yosuke drags himself out the door, looking like he's in a slump.

"Hanamura, what's got you down?" You ask a she sits down on the roof near you.

"I don't wanna talk about it..."

...

>Give him some space- you can talk about it tomorrow
>Bug him. You've probably got a few minutes before everyone else gets here.
>>
>>27943569
Bug, but not be insistent. Enough to show concern, because he may want to actually talk and need encouragement.

Something like:

"You sure? Talking about it can help. It's not good to keep things bottled up."
>>
>>27943569
>Bug him. You've probably got a few minutes before everyone else gets here.
"Bottling feelings up is bad, you know."
>>
>>27943569
"Should you anyway?"

(Which is to say, bug him a little, but don't really pressure him.)
>>
>>27943569
Insist just once
"You sure man? Maybe talking helps you to fell better"
>>
>Bug him

"You know... It's not good to keep things bottled up." You say, getting a sigh from Yosuke.

"Alright, alright. I got rejected again." He says, shaking his head. "Saki just completely blew off my offer of a date."

...Well then.

"Saki... Konishi, yes?" You say after a brief pause. "The daughter of the people who run the liquor store?"

This gets a nod.

"Yeah, she's working at Junes, and I've been trying to get her to go on a date with me for ages." Yosuke says with a sigh. "Yesterday, she told me that she doesn't see me like that..."

Looks like Yosuke's dealing with some broken-heart problems. Probably best to let him be for a bit

...The two of you sit in silence until everyone else shows up.

....You eat lunch in peace, and return to the second part of the school day.

...

Finally stepping out of the gates, you head to take Nanako home in a bit of a hurry, so you can make it to work on time.

...

Getting ready to leave the house to go to work, you notice you have about twenty minutes to spare...

Junes is too far away to make it there and back for sure, though...

You shake your head, and walk on over to the metalworks.

...Daidara seems to still be there, though closing down the forge at the moment.

"Uh... Hi." You say, knocking on the door and stepping in. "I don't suppose you remember who all looked at that spot outside of your shop?"

He gives you a look, then sighs.

"Alright, kid. I'll bite." He says, shaking his head. "Why'd that detective come and ask who else looked there, though?"

....Seems Adachi has already been here. But 'else'?

"I don't really know. Curiosity, I guess?" You shrug.

Daidara sighs again.

"Alright. It was you, that girl who works at the hobby store, the detective I mentioned, and some weird kid in a different school's uniform than yours." He says, looking at you. "Well, for that time... Over the last couple of days, the Tatsumi boy and that Amagi girl have been looking at it too."

There's a pause.

If he doubts us, we can offer to demonstrate in a few ways. One, by touching a TV. Two, by going by the alley but mention that it may not be open, but if it is, we"ll disappear for a few minutes (we can ask igor a question or two). Thirdly, by using some magic tricks (Rakujaja or Elec)
>>
>>27952310
Pull out Izanagi's card and show it to him: "So you've never seen anything like this before, then?"

Let's see if he's just covering or if he genuinely doesn't know about the weirdness. Provided he can see the card, that is. The way Dojima responded when we showed Minako our card implies that as spiritual constructs you can't see them unless you're in another dimension or have one for yourself. He responded to the actual Personas just fine though, so I might be wrong and he was just confused by the weird magic card we had.
>>
>>27952454
If he cant see it, he'd just be weirded out. So, it'd be better to pull it out and let him think we made a weird gesture than talking crazy

Also GoldenOP, remember us questers are a spergy bunch and not fantastic with dialogue. Nor can we easily read the mood like IRL.

Ryotaro sent Adachi, not the other way around, man.

It would make sense if that was the case. A Persona is a manifestation of inner truth, so you should only be able to see it if you've faced your own truth or are in a dimension where the subconscious is manifested. >Mention the rumor, see if he reacts to you summoning the card

"Man, that's not good." You say, shaking your head. "I heard a rumor that there was some sort of demon out by the old mines. Think that gas is out again?"

For a brief moment, Daidara's expression is one of surprise, but soon goes back to his normal stony one.

"I suppose a new well of it could have popped up," He says, shaking his head. "But that's not likely, since the area got pretty well cleared after that incident. Any pockets of it would have been disposed of."

"Probably just some punks messing around, using the old rumors to keep people from finding their hideout."

"Well, that's something." You say.

"So, kid." Daidara says after a minute. "How's that short sword treating you?"

... Ah, crap.

"I, uh.. Actually broke it by accident a couple of days ago." You say.

This gets a flat look from the metalsmith.

"Hey, it was an accident!" You give a 'what do I know' gesture, summoning Izanagi's card as you do so.

You look Daidara in the eyes.

"So, what did your generation fight?" You ask, letting the card vanish. "Demons, or something?"

He sighs.

"Kid, look. That was a weird year, and nobody quite remembers what happened." He says, sighing. "All I know is, weird stuff happened, I got this scar, and I've been able to see some odd things since."

"Now, how did you really break the sword? Because I know my steel, and it wouldn't get broken by accident."

...What is there to lose, eh?

"...Alright." You say, shaking your head. "I was fighting a creature that could make blades of wind. Sheared right through it. Got any recommendations to deal with that?"

He turns around, looking at his forge, then at the weapons nearby.

"Maybe." He says after a minute."That'd be an interesting challenge, actually."

"Tell you what." Daidara continues, turning back around to face you. "You're meddling with supernatural stuff, aren't you?"

You nod.

>Detective, Student, Dojos

"Sure." You reply. "Not a problem."

"Uh, what did the detective say? I'm pretty sure he's my uncle's assistant, but..." You start after a second. "Well, neither of us knew he's potentially involved in the mess going on around town."

Daidara scratches his chin, seemingly trying to remember something...

"He came in and asked if anyone had been looking at that spot outside the door, actually." He says, shrugging now. "I told him about you and the other two, and he left."

...Not much to go on.

"Alright, what about the student? What did he look like?" You ask.

"A bit shorter than you. Messy black hair. Black uniform, green tie. Can't remember anything else very clearly, though." Daidara pauses for a second. "Oh, and he looked like he was talking to himself when he was looking at that spot."

....Okaayyyy....

"Well, thanks for the information," You say, getting a curt nod from Daidara. "I should be heading home around now."

"Not a problem. Just remember to bring me interesting materials, and we're square for that."

As you reach the door, you remember something.

"Oh, and, uh... Do you know any people who teach martial arts around here?" You ask, turning around.

A shake of Daidara's head shows that he doesn't.

"Oh well. Worth checking."

You shrug and leave the metalworks.

...

...Finally arriving home, you find Nanako and Dojima sitting at the table, dinner waiting.

"Ah, good, you made it." Dojima says, hearing you walk in. "I had been worried."

We'll enlist her help in holding the fabric while we sew it. That way SHE gets the cloth sewn to her fingers, and not us. Hahahaha. Seriously though, it will be fun, Nanako.

And then we tell Uncle Dojima about what Daidara told us about the kid and about Adachi maybe having the same mystic awareness we do. Might be nothing, he could just not be saying anything because he doesn't want his boss to think he's crazy, but it's worth knowing.

Oh, and apologize for being late. We don't mean to worry our uncle. Reassure him that we weren't doing anything potentially dangerous, we'll always prepare and give him warning ahead of time when we do that.

Actually, Dojima sent Adachi to look at that spot (after we mentioned putting some surveillance on that spot). Therefore, I think that we should ask Dojima what Adachi reported to him, and then mention what we found.
>>
>>27958092
I am:
>>27958224
I think we should talk about Adachi and the student. Adachi, we can say there's several possibilities:
1. He's latent and a potential Wild Card. He is completely unaware of all of this though.
2. He's a good guy, but has been acting alone. Not likely or Igor would have told us.
3. He's a baddie.
4. He's part of a third party, and may be a baddie.

Mention that Adachi now knows Tatsumi, Amagi, Minako and himself. Frequented there.

We should also ask about the card. If he wants info, we can explain the Card-Arcana thing.

Oh, and most importantly. Talk about the issue with Nanako being home alone, and how we may have to split days keeping her company. Since the student certainly could find out where we live, and then they can kidnap her or worse.
>>
>>27958343
The implication I got is that this was before that.

>>"Alright. It was you, that girl who works at the hobby store, the detective I mentioned, and some weird kid in a different school's uniform than yours." He says, looking at you. "Well, for that time... Over the last couple of days, the Tatsumi boy and that Amagi girl have been looking at it too."

Right. However, I think that directly concluding (even with hedging) that Adachi is able to perceive the Velvet Room is too hasty. Indubitably, it is a possibility, but I think we should pursue all the information that we can get before we come to a conclusion (even one that is hedged in 'maybe').

Just asking Dojima what Adachi reported to him about the spot, and then mentioning that Daidara said that Adachi went over and questioned him about that spot would achieve a similar goal -- if Dojima didn't order Adachi to investigate yet, then we would be aware that Adachi could have some mystical awareness; if Dojima did order Adachi to investigate, and Adachi hasn't reported back to him yet, then Dojima would probably remember to bug Adachi about it, and any information from there would eventually go back to us. (If Dojima already ordered Adachi, who then said that there wasn't much to report back, then we would be aware of more possibilities, like that Adachi doesn't have any mystical awareness or that Daidara didn't tell Adachi anything etc.. You get the idea, right?)

OP, I got an idea that can be horrible, hilarious or both.

Triple Date to help prepare Yosuke for the dating scene.

The girls are Yukiko, Chie and Minako.

We can even be to him like: "Dude, your Persona is a Superhero Frog. Frog Prince waiting for his Princess? Saki? Don't wait for the Princess that will never come. Be a superhero and get a girl with your heroic charm."

During the date, other than awkwardness we can try to go deep into symbolism about what we think our personae/shadows & Arcana mean, 90% of it being bullshit.

"Amagi is a fiery phoenix who won't let herself be restrained by society's norms. She's a phoenix and a free spirit."

"Kanji's Persona will probably be a skeleton-themed motorcycle that he rides on top and drive-bys shadows with his hammer"

etc

Putting away your project, you walk over to the kitchen table where Dojima is sitting.

"So, dropped by Daidara's this evening." You say, getting a raised eyebrow from him. "Asked about the people he saw looking around in front of the shop."

"Ah, that's right." Dojima says, seemingly remembering. "Adachi gave me a report about that a couple of days ago... Something about a few teenagers, and that's it..."

"He didn't mention being there, as well as a description of the other high-school student, huh?"

That gets a reaction out of Dojima.

"Oh, did he?" He asks, looking at you carefully. "Wonder why he'd leave that off..."

You shrug.

"Well, it seems like there's a student, a bit shorter than me, who was talking to himself outside of the store, looking at a spot that's got spiritual significance." You continue, recalling the earlier conversation. "Black uniform with a green tie. Messy black hair."

...He seems to be thinking about that...

"Hm... Think that..." He asks, before shaking his head. "No, probably not..."

"So, Daidara saw Adachi looking around there, too?"

You nod.

"I'd say he probably doesn't want to be seen as 'crazy' for sensing a door no one else can." You say, shrugging. "I mean, I know I felt like I'd get that reputation without something to back me up..."

Dojima seems to consider it...

"Well, I suppose you're right. Now, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

>>27968657
Hahahaha. That is like the worst pairing ever. Chie would scare the poor boy to death.
>>
>>27968737
Minako or Yukiko with Kanji, then? It's only a date to help Yosuke build up confidence anyway.
>>
>>27968803

And Yukiko also won't know how to behave on a date. Shes abit odd that way.

>>27968803
Can't wait for the spaghetti when Saki runs into him and Minako on the mock-date.
>>
>>27968846
So...
Yu-Chie
Yosuke-Minako
Kanji-Yukiko
?
If Minako is better for a date, then it should go to Yosuke.
>>
>>27968872

Likely. Despite my inner wish for Minako with Yu shes actually good on this mock date since her behaviour will be closest to a normal girl.
>>
>>27968872
That's pushing us toward The Chie Route, which is not something I'm fond of.

Of course, the whole triple-date thing is ridiculous on the face of it. Why are we even still discussing this?
>>
>>27968977
It is ridiculous, but it could be fun.
>>
>>27969066

Hamuko's teasing will make everything perfect
>>
>>27969144

Speaking of which, she needs to try Yu's cooking too.
>>
>Gah, sorry. Fell asleep in my chair again.

>>27965562
>You utterly can. But why would he try to get Yosuke and Chie killed, then try to murder you...?
>>
>>27969921
Forgot your trip, too.
>>
>>27969924
Knew I forgot SOMETHING.
>>
>Looks like the Nanako talk, then suspicions

>k.
>>
>>27970046
Dont forget Adachi suspicions. OOC and IC, he can be literally anything. But the fact is, he was there and conveniently left out that bit, which is even more slightly suspicious.
>>
>>27970185

It occurs to me though, that in order to deal with meta-knowledge, Adachi and Mitsuo might not be antagonists in this story. Hell, they might even be potential allies!

I know. I'm not trying to be metagamey. The fact is that we don't /know/ anyway because TRM. So it's good to be on-guard. Be a bit suspicious. Don't metagame and assume the worst (because it can be wrong anyway), don't anti-metagame and be oblivious.
>>
>>27968548
I'm leaning towards Yu/Naoto or Yu/Minako
>>
>>27970674
There isn't a Naoto.
>>
>>27970341
>>27970405
Adachi and Mitsuo are suspects, it's as clear as that
>>
>>27971728
Suspected, yes.
>>
>Nanako, then suspicions

"Nanako, actually." You reply without missing a beat. "It's not good for her to be home alone so much."

Dojima sighs.

"I know, I know. But I have work, and you have your own things to be doing..."He says, shaking his head. "I don't see how-"

"What's really got me worried, though, is that there's a wanna-be murderer who's seen both our faces." You continue, cutting Dojima off. "And you're probably just a search away from having an address."

...He gets a pained expression as he thinks about this...

"I was thinking we could alternate, but..." You shrug. "It's up to you, since it is your daughter."

...There's an awkward pause for a few minutes.

"I'll... Figure something out." He says finally, shaking his head. "Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?"
...You pause for a moment.

...Pushing the issue seems like it'd be a bad idea, so...

"Yeah. I remember actually meeting someone who matches the description of the student." You say, getting an expression of surprise from Dojima. "Didn't get his name, but he was harassing Yukiko Amagi on the way out of school two days in a row, when I first got here. Haven't seen him since."

"...I don't suppose you tried to stop him, did you?" He asks after a moment of thought, rubbing his chin.

"...The second day, when Satonaka and Hanamura were missing, I did. They stopped him the first day." You say, a piece clicking into place. He could be deranged enough to...

"...We might have found our culprit." Dojima says after another moment. "I'll see what high schools have that sort of uniform around here, and see if anyone matching that description is attending them."

...That's good. But you can't shake a feeling something else might be up...

(2/2)

"A quick question about Adachi, though." You say. "After thinking about it, it's kind of suspicious he completely left himself off the report. Are we sure he's not up to something?"

Dojima shakes his head.

"Like you said, he probably thought he'd come off as crazy if he included himself." He says. "Besides, he's been working with me since he transferred. I'd know if he was up to something."

>Write in
>>
>>27972113
Would you now?
Just keep him in mind, for me
>>
>>27972113
"Best to be careful, just in case. I'm not saying you should stop trusting him. But everything is going to hell and you know how neighbors always say they never suspected that guy would be a serial killer on the news. You probably are right, but, it's just best to be careful."

Something like that. Make it clear we don't /think/ he is a bad guy, since we have nothing to really go off of but a hunch he /might/ be suspicious.
>>
>>27972113
"Well, okay. But if there's one thing I learned since I came here, it's that people aren't always what they seem to be. Even to themselves. I would've never guess what my friends were into until I went inside their dungeon and talked to their Shadow."

That's actually pretty fucking bad, don't use this. I hope you get the general idea of what I'm going for, though.
>>
> If you're sure...

"Well, it's your call. I found out some stuff about my friends I wouldn't have expected until I saw and spoke to their own Shadows..." You shrug. "I mean, you know how neighbors always say they never suspected that quiet guy would be a serial killer on the news..."

Dojima looks to be thinking about that...

"You're probably right, though, but it still doesn't hurt to be careful." You shrug, getting a nod from him. "Anyway, I think that was about all I wanted to talk to you about, so..."

"Alright. I'll ask him about it in the morning." He says, standing up. "I should be getting to sleep. Got an early morning again. Good night, Yu."

You give him a short wave goodnight, then look at the clock.

...Almost midnight.

>Bed?
>Midnight channel?
>Other
>>
>>27972968
Midnight channel, of course.

>Midnight channel

Heading to your room, you grab a textbook and take a seat, reading through it until the clock strikes midnight.

The TV flickers on, showing a sta-

That's the same place that you saw the first night. It's empty, but it's the same road.

...Something is going on there, you realize, as you see- yes, that's water, not blood- running down the side of that road, shards of a white mask being pulled along in it.

The screen goes blank as someone's leg enters the picture.

Jeans and brown shoes are all you could make out before it clicked off... But it looks like whoever it was is male.

...Your phone's ringing.

It's Yosuke again.

Well, shit. Hope Shadow!Yu's okay.

([x] Answer the phone, of course.)
>>
>>27940404
The next week goes by relatively quickly... Each day, you wake up early, prepare food for Nanako, yourself, and your friends, then head to school. Eating lunch on the roof, you keep passing the same upperclassman on the way up, exchanging nods.

Who is this upper classman? I want to know more about him. I suspect shenanigans.
>>
>>27974854
Betcha he's Funky. And a rumor guy.
>>
>>27974854
He's the funky riddle master. You can challenge him to a contest of obtuse word puzzles and get prizes in return. Most of them aren't worth the effort, but riddling with him doesn't take up a time unit, so you might as well.
>>
So...
anyone know who the fellow in the jeans could be?

Also, loving this Quest - Chie's always been my favorite, so what's been done with her in this Quest appeals to me
>>
>>27977951
What did he do that appealed to you?
>>
>>27978057
Dominatrix, mostly.
>>
>>27978416
Pretty sure that was already implied in her canon Shadow. Abusive control, after all..
>>
>>27979469
Yep.

>>27978416
I agree. It's why I want to go with Chie
>>
>>27977951
>>27978416
>>27979469
>>27979588
I'm a fan of Yukiko for more or less the opposite reason. as in I'm not a fan of dominatrixes.

Chances of harem end, to satisfy everyone...?
>>
>>27979691
...We'd need to get at least one more on board to be a harem, not a threesome.

Minako, then?
>>
>>27979691
QMs hate them, and it's pretty passe to go for harems like every other quest. But maybe she's a bit of a switch.
>>
>>27979691
>>satisfy everyone
But it's never that in practice. It's yourself and everyone else is bitter. It's not like Yu is Mormon or Muslim, anyway.
>>
>>27979715
Oh, maybe.

>>27979743
I-I won't want to cause any infighting like the bleach quest clusterfuck. I just want everyone to have something they can be happy about.

>>27979807
It's not like open relationships or multiamory are things- oh....wait....
>>
>>27979880
Not many people do it though. At best people are indifferent towards it
>>
Just a thought, but what would happen if we tried to go through the TV while the Midnight Channel was playing? Could we use that to jump the Shadow?

Also, what about just sticking our head into TVs to get an idea of where they go, see if we can't find another one with a return route.

Finally, what about scrounging together enough money to buy a small TV that we can bring INTO the TV World as a portable exit.
>>
>>27980661
GoldenOP made it very clear it'd be a BAD idea to do that
>>
>>27980661
>>27980755
Heheheh...

Hahahah....
AHHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh, you kill me.

Bad shit, for the first.

Possible, for the second.

Wouldn't work for the third.
>>
Eh, either way I think we can all agree this shouldnt mutate into yet another waifu quest? This quest is pretty damn good on its own. I only suggested the triple date as a way to cheer Yosuke up and get some funny moments.
>>
>>27980930
Terrible idea but possibly funny as an omake: Don't GO into the TV when the Midnight Channel is playing, just keep throwing rocks through it (by releasing as our fingers touch the screen) and pegging the Shadow in the head.

So, let's take a small TV and a big TV, put one foot into the big TV, one hand into the small TV, and then use the remaining hand to push the one into the other because (insert tired old joke here)
>>
>>27981531
I don't know, going super-meta on P4's ass could be pretty hilarious
>>
>>27981575
"waifu quest", not "Waifu Quest".

>>27980661
So what does happen if we touch a TV while we're in the TV world?

>>27981532
Depending on the answer to the previous question, that second bit sounds like it could be a good way to lose a hand.
>>
>>27981575
Except this ISN'T P4.

This is True Reincarnation Mode.
>>
>>27981575
Waifu Quest turned out pretty bad with 90% of the players being retards
>>
>>27979691
We never go with a dominatrix in these type of storie, though...
>>
>>27985371

I'd rather Hamuko, myself.

The P4 girls pale in comparison to her.
>>
>>27985371
Thats why we should go with her!
>>
>>27985692
Exactly.
>>
>>27985493
But.... What about the Reincarnation Route Romance mentioned in thread 1?
>>
>>27985371
Because most people don't share your fetish.

At this point, I'm hoping for an OC, or for Yu to reveal he has a girlfriend he's been writing to back home, just to shut down the arguments.
>>
>>27989144
>Because most people don't share your fetish.

Well, no shit. 100% of the quests are vanilla anyway though if it bothers you enough.
>>
...Guys?

I looked at the last thread.

Our parent's first names are the same as the SMT Hero and Heroine's. Well, from one of the adaptations.

I'm worried

>>
>>27989541

>>
>>27989623
Everything is fucked. And Tokyo is where we SHOULD NOT go.
>>
>>27989727
Is there a tl;dr of what happened? Because it could just happen in Inaba.

Or it wont. P3/4verse could just be what was made after P1verse. It's not like our PC has any weird dreams
>>
>>27989770
Human cultists started summoning demons into Tokyo
Christians started fighting them
Then american christians bombed Tokyo
Then christians built a Cathedral and summoned a great flood
Then Hero killed all christians and remaining cultists, his friends included, their governing demons and led remaining humanity to a Neutral future
