>As requested by /tg/. Come take a walk through October Country with me.

The real problem with looking fourteen – well, if you're being generous, it's fourteen – is that when you're really much older than that, no one believes you have a valid driver's license. Which is not too serious a problem if you can find someone to help you move, provided the hulking brutes can get their heads out of their asses long enough to realize that you know what you are talking about and that they should actually listen to the person who hired them. Your mother's been in her grave for a long time, and it's a sore point that every person you hire immediately asks 'where is your mother' two minutes after you open the door.

You really have to consider hiring a governess, butler, or maid who can keep their mouth shut.

But for now, you let the events of the past few days fade. At least the moving is all done and the storage is paid for, and you have a roomy townhouse apartment; three bedrooms, two and a half bath, full kitchen. It is expensive, and one of the bedrooms needs a lot of work, but you are paid up for three months, and you won't have to worry about any utilities save water and electricity. Unpacking might be a little tedious, but it's nothing in comparison to the renovations you'll probably have to do in the third bedroom. It somewhat depends on how you plan on dealing with the other issues. Such as the results of having a job, or going back to school, or some sort of social activity.

Not that you need the money or the learning; no, you have plenty of both, because you're much older than you look. There is one school I.D. that insists you are exactly the age you look, and the other that says you are in your mid forties and an accredited teacher. The third one, the one closest to being real documentation, is accurate enough for one of the only functional Benjamin Button Babies in the world, even if it isn't your real name, age, location of birth, etcetera.
>>
>>27584308
No, the reason you need a life outside the house is so you can take care of yourself. You have....an issue. It might be a problem. It might be a curse. It could just be unfortunate coincidence. But it is definitely unavoidable, and worse, needs to be taken care of in the next few days. For the hunger has been growing stronger, day by day, and always will, especially since you've been forced to skip a few while moving. As you look into the mirror at the back of the walk in closet, wearing simple white panties and the hateful training bra you will never grow into, you consider what brought you to this point in your unnatural life.

(Most votes in 10-15 minutes will determine the answers to the pertinent questions; details can be provided to a certain extent. Choosing the {Bonus} items, which can sometimes be combined with write ins, has the effect of giving you better skills and abilities, but at the cost of making your work and your identity that much more detectable in the cities you are or have been in by the hunters, the hunted, and other potential problems; for instance, choosing the Scalpel as the tool of your trade gives you unparalleled skill in using it, but there is little chance of a coroner mistaking your handiwork for anyone else's work.)

What kind of hunger drives you to such distraction that you must hunt the most dangerous game? [Your reasoning may change over time.]

Wendigo is the most boring option if you ask me, but most people seem to think it is fun so i guess nothing that can be done.

The hunger has been growing steadily. Even after you gorged yourself - and you take deliberate pains to forget the details of that fiasco - the hunger is already coming back.

Running your hands over your face, and taking a deep breath, you feel it inside you, that unnerving, oily movement inside you that reminds you that you are never alone, even when you are alone in a crowd. You lift your head, looking at your soft, unblemished face, your bright, youthful eyes, and your perfect teeth.

Ageless.

You have the appearance of a girl of fourteen or so, give or take a year or two. It seems to depend on how you present yourself more than anything else. How old you really are? A very good question, one you try not to think about much. What causes it? A better and unpleasant question. [Answers are usually true.]
[] You are over 80. Your peculiar diet has something to do with it, you're sure.
[] You are over 120 years old. Because of....that part of you, seem to be immune to non-injury caused death - poisons, drowning, or other environmental problems hurt you or make you sick, but do not kill you. You eventually recover from any injury you have suffered at the normal healing rate, but with minimal or no scarring or side effects. You don't know if anything would regrow. Yet.
[] You have no idea how old you are. You don't think you are human at all anymore: you're alive, but you aren't normal by any stretch of the imagination.
[] Who cares? You've avoided knowing this long, you can continue to avoid knowing.

We are between someting 1000 to 1100 years old. We were born in a viking tribe. A wendigo spirit, it has many other names in many different cultures, chose us as its host, but failed to completely take control. We have been living in a symbiotic relationship for centuries. I give us power, immortality almost, and in return we feed it along with ourselves.

There was nothing we can do to banish it out of our system. It failed to completely take over. So we just kept on living as it is. It sounds quite probable to me, but its my idea so i might not be completely unbiased.
>>
>>27584782

I would have been doing everything I can to get it out or kill myself if I had to constantly fight to stay in control of myself not enter a symbiotic relationship
>>
You know how old you are, in a very vague sort of way. Vague partly because your restless sleep has a habit of stealing memories of the past and painting them into pictures of some lifetime spent drowning in flesh and blood, with periods of lucidity where the world changed, the woods became towns, and the people spread, everywhere. But you remember the wiseman's face. How he cursed you, cursed you for not being the boy he thought you were when you'd apprenticed to him, after he woke you roughly that night. It's not like there was a big difference between boys and girls at that point anyways, and you had less body fat to make you pretty, but that didn't matter much to him.

And Gods, did he curse you. Your finger traces the faint line along your belly, where he cut you open and shoved that....the....whatever he put inside you, in you. The pain was indescribable. You ran from the tent and then you stumbled into someone. And all you could think of was flesh, and blood and sating that empty pit in your body. And you couldn't ever get enough of it. That first, how sweet flesh of ---- [Determines your preferred food. Other kinds will suffice in a pinch.]

Well, it'd make the cannibalism more "classical music with a glass of chianti" and less "tribal feeding frenzy on all fours while covered in blood and guts".

Of course, the ghoulish frenzy thing could be something we just outgrew. We've come to embrace civilization and refinement in the last 250 years or so.

/tg/ you should realize with that bonus, you'll not be able to attach any other characters much since you'll be compelled to eat them more and more. i am sure tg will just get attached to the first nice npc they see, and i hope we wont be able to decide we dont want to eat him/her after we chose the damn "eat the one you" option.

You shove the thought out of your mind immediately. That's not how you want to remember her. She didn't deserve that. She bore you for nine months, raised you, brought you to life. And when he tried to intervene....he was just....more food.

Sadly, you can never forget. What lives inside you, having had that first taste of flesh – sacred flesh by the teaching of your people, the MOST sacred flesh – can never, ever get enough of it. Even now, if there's not some spark, some touch of affection, it won't sate the appetites you have. Suppress them, make them livable, but never sate them. That's part of why you're in trouble now. Because it took....

….you don't want to remember how many. They were strangers,. An entire family. It took an entire family to get you through the two weeks of moving. Now it is three days later and you are already feeling that oily, hot sickness in your belly that will become a pressure that you start drowning in. You reach out and grasp something off the closet shelf, grip it like a talisman, a charm to ward off the evil. That's not what it is of course. It's going to help you, because despite everything, you're still a child in body. Just gripping the smooth metal handle of the straight razor soothes the turmoil inside your body. The physical turmoil at least; it knows it will be getting fed soon now, so the....thing in you slowly relaxes it's concertina wire thrashing in your body. Your heart rate is still up, and you have to make some other decisions.

Standing up straight, you open the straight razor, studying it. You've honed this one recently, and it is sharp enough to slice down to the bone. Unlike the movies, there is no wicked gleam of light, no mystical shimmer. You can't see anything more of your reflection aside form a pale golden blur from the yellowish bulb hanging above you. In your culture, weapons were sacred, a thing to be revered and cared for. You don't keep most of these – they dull quickly especially with as much extensive use as you are force to put them through. Your eyes slide to the case in the corner where you grabbed this one from, and there is an actual gleam of light off of the other one.

But that one is for special....times. Special times. Special people. This will do, for now, because you haven't the time to woo anyone just now. Unless you can manage to find just the right person.

Setting the razor aside, you move to the rack of clothing, containing the vital few outfits a young girl of your persuasion should have. And a few she probably shouldn't. But in this case, feeling slightly calmer, you might be able to manage a miracle, if you're lucky.

Time to get dressed.

A lesbian wendigo? Not sure if want...

At first you reach for the long sleeved faux turtleneck you usually wear out. Those and tight jeans get some attention without a lot of stares, and you can usually manage to seem a little older or younger depending on how you act.

A slow, thick revolution inside your gut, accompanied by a very painful tightening of the coils and loops of your digestive tract, reminds you that you are in trouble already. You might not have time for a slow stalk. And you're too new in this city to risk a simple stand by meal. That's why you bought the other clothing before you moved. Nearby is a place that will see exactly what you want them to see, and the people there will not be as wary as they should. If you are lucky, very lucky, you might find someone willing to give you a phone number.

To call you. Ask you on a date.

Even thinking the words makes your heart ache. Not a physical pain, no, but it hurts, almost as deep as the chasms in your mind. To the back of the closet, next to the mirror. The outfit is elaborate, and tailored. You try only to think of how it will get you fed, how it will help you achieve your goal, but you can't help letting a little honesty slip through. It really is a pretty dress. Not quite Victorian, not quite modern, and certainly the cutting edge of the cos-play scene. Black velvet, white lace, actual bone buttons, and silk, lots and lots of fine silk.

It is both costume and mask, and far more importantly, it will help you fit right into the club you will be showing up at. The Luminagerie has the most eclectic soirées in downtown, and more importantly, it didn't serve alcohol, while catering to a wide variety of ages. As you dress, with greater care than you want to take – you're so HUNGRY! - you hope, pray to Gods most people have long forgotten, that someone will take the risk and seek you out. Or let you speak to them. And maybe, just maybe, you'll manage to placate the thing inside you for one more day.

Because if you can just find the right person, one of the ones who isn't just interested in a quicky in an alley or a fumble in the car after driving you home....your stomach clenches, your mouth watering as you recall that one. He had been so close, so very close to being someone you could like. He just didn't want to wait a day or two more. And when he grabbed you, held you....you couldn't stop yourself. You took what you had to have even if it wasn't what you needed from him. That MESS.

[Finally, we learn how you eat your food; may influence how easy it is to identify your presence in an area.]
[] You just feed until you can feed no more. Voraciously, viciously. Like an animal.

We are well off - back in the olden days, money was easy to come by when you made people dissapear all the time, and had little to spend it on. It is safe to say you have $12,000.00 in liquid assets; you do have to renovate the third bedroom and bath, and in three months you will need another $2,500.00 in rent and around $500.00 in utilities for another three months. Unless you do something spectacular. In non-liquid assets you have $25,000.00 but that is exceedingly difficult to access on the fly as it is in a Swiss bank account. You have to be in a very safe place in your mind and soul to manage to access it.

Interpol still remembers the boat, even if you don't.

Sybilline's Qualities:

[X] You are possessed by - or possessed of - the spirit of the Wendigo; you have fugue states when you are awake, and your nightmares are indescribable.
[X] A Shaman in your village whom took you as apprentice cursed you because you unintentionally tricked him into thinking you were something you were not, namely, a boy.
[+] As a result. you have no idea how old you are. You don't think you are human at all anymore: you're alive, but you aren't normal by any stretch of the imagination.
[X] A man or woman (an adult) who is affectionate towards you is your preferred prey, but
[+] A boy (near our apparent age) is acceptable BUT
[X] Affection Required – without it, you do not gain the satiation you would otherwise.
[X] A straight razor is your weapon, and you have a case of five, plus one special one.
[x] Jeans and a long sleeved shirt is your casual dress, but when hunting....
[X] You assume a Gothic Lolita persona to hunt at one of the three clubs that cater to special interests in the area.
[X] It takes time, and effort, but when you are done, there is nothing left. It takes almost a week to finish what you start feeding upon....however:
[x] The skin is important, and you WILL consume it from the people you hold affections towards as quickly as possible.
>>
You know what would be a very efficient way to get choice targets that are "close" to us?

Disappear people into a dungeon prison complex thing. We go in and pretend to be a prisoner and become close to the group, united against the oppressors.

But it's all just seasoning, and they're just food.

You are old enough to "take care of business when ma and pa were away" back in the 1800's. The gold rush was incredibly lucrative for a pretty girl who was kind and could stand the smell of unwashed drunken minor. Despite your occasional lapses, you did keep up with technology - you're certainly no luddite, and enough money will buy whatever you need.

This is yet another desperate effort to give yourself a safe place to feed for a while; you've tried this many times before, and you did manage to stash enough gold and silver that when you sold it you were able to create a perpetuity account in a Swiss Bank that asks you no questions (partly due to the fact that you helped a certain Family with problems in the past - Mar....Mar something....).

>>27586943
You don't remember. You remember a tribe, and sailing, and salt spray....sometimes, you think you might be much, much older. And at other times, you have this terrible suspicion you're wrong about everything....and then something happens.

You stare at yourself in the mirror. You look....shockingly elegant. And terribly, terribly young. The tight underbust corset, even though merely buttoned, doesn't give you any help up top, and you are not too well endowed to begin with. But you are doll like. Your long blonde hair, clipped back now, looks tight and severe from the front and spills across your back. The stockings are strange, and tight; you need a garter belt and actual stockings rather than these. Victorian buckled ankle boots, polished and decorous, with several silver buckles. The silk sections of the dress, sleeves and bustier are decorated with more white silk and lace. You can't stand crinoline, it makes....that thing uncomfortable. A black velvet choker with an ivory and rosin cameo rests about your throat. And a single silver ring decorates your little finger, the very real pearl glistening in the closet's light.

You smile, remembering the first time a student tried to prove you were a werewolf. You still have the silver cross, which you wear only on special occasions. He was sweet, a nerdy little geek, caught up in comic books and horror movies. He was one of many who tried to discover your secrets. There is a faint tug at your heartstrings; you did like him, and he was so nice to you. Too nice.

Your guts twist in upon themselves and your expression becomes an ugly grimace. If you aged, you'd have frown-marks galore. You can't ignore it any longer – you take the razor you pulled from the box, and the matching handbag, and walk out into the living room, tucking the heavy little blade into the purse, along with two sets of identification. You ignore the boxes, the few knick-knacks already placed, and take your keys and prepaid cell phone from the hall way key rack as you pass. The service elevator is the only one that comes this high, but you've made arrangements to use it as you need it.

>Can we please agree to try and change that?
Of course we can agree on that, now how should we do it? I dont support to make people disappear for mafia or the like, because it puts us under the spotlight of both the police and the underworld. The targets will not even be count for a special someone we need. So it does not sit well with me. There may be (a) special case(s) where we would do this for the underworld but i dont think this should be our main money source normally.

The ride down is agonizingly slow, and it stops on the third floor, to admit a jumpy looking young man in the snappy brown uniform of a postal service worker, whose eyes bug out alarmingly when he sees you in the elevator. You smile sweetly, curtsy, and he laughs shaking his head as he rolls the empty dolly in. The pun brings to mind other emptiness, but what lies within you is quiet, satisfied that you are at least trying to do something about your problem.

The service elevator finally stops on the bottom floor, opening into the lobby of the apartment building. This is a quiet – and monitored – place of mailboxes, two benches, and barred windows and reinforced doors. The Camera is a simple recording infrared and visible light camera, easily disabled if you need to do so. You could have settled for a smaller place, nearer to people, but you have learned that neighbors are people, often with children, and while you have no desires for children, their parents tend to dote on the parent-less waif they perceive you as. A quick glance at the normal elevators lights indicate they aren't in motion, which you are thankful for. It's late afternoon, and you're going to have to decide how you are getting to the nearby Club Luminagerie

You follow the deliveryman, and to your surprise he holds the door open for you. You give him a quick half curtsy, and smile, seeing his name [MAX] embroidered on his uniform. Max chuckles again and turns the opposite direction that you are meant to go, and for a brief, heart-wrenching moment you want to follow him, make him smile again.

But it's not you that wants that.

You have noticed one thing about big cities, at least, big cities here. People don't look at things. They glance, and sometimes they'll stare, but more often than not they'll try not to look too much, try to push you to their peripheral vision. Especially young girls in strange getups. Paranoia and fear, or just jaded....it's hard for you to tell. A part of you, that liquid, stirring, hungry part of you prefers it. It is good to be unnoticed, even walking after business has ended for the day and with pleasantly crowded sidewalks.

You're not certain that the lightness you feel is relief at the lack of hunger pangs or violent movement in your belly, or because it's a nice day and you'll be going somewhere truly new, truly interesting. Even with the nagging sense of need at the back of your head – and deep inside – you are feeling better than you have in a while. Hopeful, even. Sadly, that hope turns into a quagmire of fear, hunger, and longing as you finally set eyes on the building.

You thought it was further than that.

The club sits nestled between a large glass building housing a bistro at the bottom floor and who-knows-what above, and a terribly ugly brick building, the alley between the club and the brick building filled with dumpsters and undoubtedly the human detritus that always accumulates in such places. There are a great number of people moving into Club Luminagerie, and none leaving. A good sign, a busy sign. The people walking in are clad as or even more outrageously than you are; the weird and to you, largely pointless Steampunk genre is well represented, but there are other Gothic Lolitas as well, as well as a number of what you can only guess are Magical Girls. There are no fur-suits, however, an equally good sign.

The Luminagerie was advertised as a 'costumrey', an avant guard kind of club for wealthy youth with cash to spare and a flair for the overly-dramatic. Not just youth, though – young adults as well, and people who sought unusual couture to see and exploit. As you approach the building, you are given the once over by an elegant dark skinned girl in violet and gold Gothique, a sidestep from Gothic Lolita towards a more fantasy look, and her entourage of equally baroque friends. It is very obvious who is in charge. Her look is appraising, but not challenging.

There is also a tall man dressed in a very traditional Tuxedo Mask outfit, and he holds the door open for the young lady in violet, and winks at you as well, maintaining his place as you approach.

Cooking is agood option i believe. We had hundreds of years to practice, and we lived alone so we should be a great cook even without our special ingredients.
And a good chef earns well. I think we should be a chef.

>>27587386
>history
Teaching history is another good option but we wouldn't earn as much as we could as a chef, and i like cooking better.
How about after we sate our hunger today, tomorrow we go looking for a job as a cook in a restaurant. It's also easier to prove oneself in this line of job, just cook them a delicious meal.

You walk sedately to him, and it is a lot harder than you had thought it would be. Even the slight acknowledgement of a wink is enough to make your stomach twist into knots now, and only as you respond to him does the pain fade. As you incline your head he gives you a sweeping bow, appropriate to your station perhaps; that gains him a smile from you, which he takes note of, and then you are in. He follows, apparently just one of the crowd here, and not an actual doorman.

There are three sets of velvet ropes, corralling the decorous crowd – your mind briefly flashes to illustrations of faeries in oil paintings not so old – into the larger antechambers of the Club. To your surprise, there are several men and women in very official looking security uniforms asking for identification. The reason glows bright blue-violet under a black-light.

16 And Older. ID Required!
No weapons, glass bottles, or outside food and drink.

Naturally your heart leaps into your chest. You surreptitiously open your handbag, to look for the razor you slipped into it....

It's not there. You do have two forms of identification though, both in innocuous slips that look like credit card holders. You can present yourself at your apparent age, or as your “true” age of forty-four. A quick, glance around shows you either one could be of use here. They are checking the identification under another blacklight, and you have seen proof that both look absolutely authentic.

Which is your choice?

[] 16.
[] 44.
[]Other plan.

{And here we end our first session.}

We can become a cosplaying chef and the main attraction of our workplace.
>>
>>27587772
Could be. Though we should be really, really good at cooking for reasons previously explained so i dont think we'd need that.
Still, it sounds fun, so why the hell not...

Hah, no. It'd be more lucrative though, especially if we serve the dishes ourselves with perfect elegance and style~

Yes, I archived it. I will post a pastebin next thread, which is tomorrow at 8:30 am PST.

>You thought it was further than that.
> You are possessed by - or possessed of - the spirit of the Wendigo; you have fugue states when you are awake, and your nightmares are indescribable.
>>
>>27587919
Aaaah. Shit I think that means the spirit wants us to kill with our bare hands.
>>
>>27587885
>That's one. you missed the other.
Hmm, now i wonder what it is. Was it in the same post?
Only other thing i find weird is
>he gives you a sweeping bow, appropriate to your station perhaps
because he shouldn't have any idea about our status.
>>
>>27587767
16, I think 44 would raise some questions

>>27587772
We seem to have not considered the effect our little condition could have while we are working though.
While being a chef seems like a good idea it could cause trouble if we kill coworkers or suddenly go feeding crazy mid shift
>>
>>27587984
That's gonna be the issue with any occupation that isn't working as a night guard...
>>
>>27587984
>While being a chef seems like a good idea it could cause trouble if we kill coworkers or suddenly go feeding crazy mid shift
this doesnt have anything to do with what job we choose though. same thing could happen in any other job, or in any place and time and we would be in deep shit. but i dont think it is likely as long as we keep ourselves sated, because us getting found out is not to the benefit of the wendigo spirit.
>>
>>27588004
>that isn't working as a night guard...
actually, any place that has a night guard will most likely have security cameras and in all likelihood more night guards. besides, how the does an adult loli would find a job as a night guard?
>>
>>27588004
That is true but a chef is a lot more public a profession than some and it can cause us trouble if we suddenly get an urge to fillet our sous chef mid shift and happen to have our knives on hand

Just playing devils advocate really since it seemed everyone was focusing on the upsides of the job without considering any possible downsides
>>
>>27588020
>how the does an adult loli would find a job as a night guard?
Exactly, that's why it's out of the question.

>>27588036
That would be... inelegant, yes. It all comes down to how randomly our little symbiotic spirit mucks up in that case.
>>
>>27588036
So is being a schoolteacher, or more dangerous yet, a tutor. Parent-teacher conferences, kids giving you apples, catching the principal's eye.....
>>
>>27587767
meh might as well go 16
>>
>>27588097
As a school teacher we have more options to get out quickly, there are the teachers office, supply rooms even the toilets we can duck into randomly with little or not explanation needed if we need to quell the wendigo momentarily
As a chef you sort of have to keep going unless you have a serious need for a break or are going on your scheduled break

Long term any job will cause problems with us getting familiar with people but I am just listening the issues I can see with the chefs job which may lead to problems for us in the short term

16 it is. I am off to bed. Thread continues tomorrow at 8:30 am PST. I hope that you will enjoy it, as there will be meetings with men, women, boys, girls, and a dog.

As long as you keep the spirit sated, you can do fine. You've held jobs before; but when the heat gets too high, you simply have to leave...and you are fairly certain you may have done something bad enough that leaving early was a good idea.

Oh, right, that family of people.

Don't go hikkimori on me though. You wouldn't like what happens if you try and pull a Tomoko.
