When I call for a roll, I'll select the highest of the first three rolls made in response to the post calling for it. Natural 1's and natural 20's within the first five rolls count as critical failures or successes, and override the first three roll rule. Natural 1's and 20's negate each other. Only rolls linked to the post asking for them count, unless they are acting as corrections to misrolls that are linked to the proper post.

Spend the General XP in Magic. I want to get the buff and debuff spells available as soon as possible. Those are essential to an SMT game. Assuming magic works like in the games, I suppose. It could be that Personas are more like Stands, and have their own specific power sets to unlock instead of learning from the spell list. Like, Yosuke could never get any of Jiraiya's skills from the game and instead unlock abilities along a ninja theme. Or Yukiko getting petal-themed abilities to go with Konohana Sakuya. That sort of thing. Still worth leveling it up though, either way.

It's pretty much a prerequisite that every SMT main character die at some point. Just isn't the same without it. My personal favorite is Digital Devil Saga 2, because every party member dies and is resurrected in that. Well, you can argue that Serph and Sera aren't resurrected, but they're there in spirit, at least.

Pulling yourself back up, you duck under another kick from this same one you just dodged before dashing over and slashing the Shadow attacking Teddie, causing it to evaporate into smoke like so many others.

We need to get them Personas as soon as possible. It seems having one just makes you stronger even without spellcasting. Maybe it's because having awakened your Persona you're not affected by the fog's weakening effect. Whatever it is, they need a power boost. Damn. Broken ribs suck because you can't splint them. Barring Yosuke unlocking Dia, the best we can do is give Kanji whatever pain medication remains from the first aid kit we found and have him take it easy for the rest of this. He's gone above the call of duty so far, just by joining us in this adventure. Nothing wrong with him taking a break now that he's hurt. Besides, it's totally manly to be injured in battle rescuing a comrade. Emphasize that and it should quash any of his objections.

True. We haven't really helped it with our tendency to charge into enemy formations. Kind of our fault, really. Okay, how about Yu and Yosuke to the front as our first strikers, Kanji and Yukiko in the middle as support, Teddie taking the rear because his senses will let him deal with anyone sneaking up on us? That work for everyone? We should work up more detailed formations once we have more Personas in the party, that would change things a lot. Like, we'd want Yukiko protected because of her healing skills, but we also want her to have a clear line of sight for her more broken fire spells.

"Alright," You say after a moment's thought. "We need a marching order."

Kanji nods at this, wincing as he does.

"No kiddin'." He says, shaking his head and looking at the damage around the area. "We need to not keep runnin' into these guys recklessly, too."

"Uh, guys? Think we need to do somethin' for her?" Kanji asks, being ignored along with Yukiko's laughter.

"Hm..." You pause, looking to Teddie. "Think if we broke the script, we could catch them off guard? 'cause frankly, the non-dopplegangers aren't that smart."

"Probably!" Teddie replies after a moment. "They can bearly think without something strong controlling them, so it should be a cinch if we catch 'em off guard!"

...Yukiko's laughter continues.

...This place has been wrecked. Bullet holes fill the walls, scorch marks mar the floors, and masks lay around, some shattered and chipped while others seem barely damaged.
