Your name is Dirk Crocker and you are currently in the apartment of a dead man. He claimed his name was Professor Uther King and his son was Arthur King. He talked to you for a good 2 hours, eventually breaking down into some kind of violent seizure before passing you a strange picture and telling you to find a man named Edol Inertia.

Some of his information was useful; other information however was odd and almost delusional, Arthur controlling everything? How could he possibly do something like that, you’d know if you were being controlled, or at the very least someone would.
Something isn’t right here. What do you wish to do Dirk?

>A) Investigate Uther’s apartment for clues

>B) Call a car from the Diva to pick up Uther, he may seem dead but for all you know he needs medical attention.

>C) Other
>>
Call the Diva for a car. We need to report this stuff.
While we're waiting, investigate the apartment.

Also, see how MID's doing - he just saw his grandpa die.
>>
>>27487584
Have MID detach, splitting up will make this faster and we really only need one arm for searching the apartment. MID will deal with Uther's body, being a nanotech robot himself means that he'd be less at threat from whatever nanotechnology is in Uther's system. He can get Uther's body into a sealed bag, improvised from multiple layers of garbage bags with the openings melted shut by MID's inbuilt tools. While we're searching the apartment for documents or more pictures, look for any chests or trunks large enough to fit Uther in that we can sneak him out with. Then we pack him up, and take the whole mess back to the Diva for investigation. We need to move fast, though. I'm willing to be that someone's going to show up soon if we don't hurry.
>>
>>27487725
Isn't that a bit too much... out of the blue? I mean, we need to get a look at that tech eventually and someone is probably going to arrive here soon enough, but I doubt that Dirk's first thought in this situation would be "time to bag me some dead guy". That, and dragging a dead body that hasn't been reported is only going to attract the wrong kind of attention.

How's this: We call the Diva, and see if we can get Emily to help us with this. The doctors at the Diva will probably take a look at him for us, and we don't have to worry about getting thrown into jail.
>>
>>27487843
When someone tells you they're full of nanotech and then immediately dies in agony, you assume they're a biohazard. Bagging the corpse is a completely rational response. And I don't trust Emily. Uther might not be right about Arthur, but clearly someone's been pulling the strings to keep him isolated. Do we really want to go to the spy of uncertain allegiance with him? Seems kind of unsafe. We've got enough conspiracies that we're just barely staying below the radar on. We don't need to add another.
>>
>>27487965
Fair enough. Bag him in case he is a biohazard, and then we'll call Woolf and Asemu over to help us out.

As for conspiracies, I guess this is only going to get worse. We'll probably have to deal with whoever was keeping Uther down here in isolation (Leviathan? Some jerkass nobles who remember him from the war?), the Olfenoa kid, the traitor aboard the Diva, and who knows what else we'll stumble upon.
>>
>>27488086
Currently, Dirk has the following conspiracies to deal with:

>Why did Emily Dyson fake her death?

>Who is the traitor within the Woolf Pack?

>What's the deal with the rogue elements in Leviathan acting against Grodek Ainoa/Alan Recto?

>Just what the hell is wrong with Zeheart, anyway?

>Who benefits from keeping Uther King alive but isolated?

>>27487843

The first thing you do is console MID on his Grandfather's death. The young A.I is practically whimpering saying "Grandpa..." over and over again. Eventually MID calms down enough to help you.

Assuming that Uther wasn't crazy and that he does have Nano-machines in his body, he could be a potential hazard. You go into the kitchen and get some garbage bags, detaching MID so he can seal up his grandpa using his multiple tools.

All the while you decide to check the apartment for any clues...

*Edit* before you check the apartment you try to call up Asemu and Woolf, only to find their phones are off. Instead you call Rena, who agrees to borrow a car and get you.
>>
>>27488208
Let's not forget the:
> What's Leviathan after, who's funding them, and where did they get their tech from?
> Who's this Inertia guy, and what does he have to do with Arthur?
> Is Arthur really alive, or did someone screw with Uther's head?
And I probably forgot something.

My guess would be that the nobility scrounged whatever power they had and formed Leviathan to either protect their interests or gain more power now that the world is collapsing. It'd explain where they get their funding from, how are they capable of getting away with bending the law to their will, and how they got access to the old tech - if the Zarths were capable of hiding nanotech blueprints, there probably are other families hiding various relics of the past.

Maybe the Olfenoas are behind Leviathan - if someone has the power and the knowledge to manipulate the Federation, it's them. And they are the family that's been altering the history records and keeping track of all the secret deals and who knows what else. If someone's sitting on a pile of old tech and data, it's them. And they could use Leviathan to get back at the Vagans who are blackmailing them.

You search the apartment and at first you don't find anything. The cupboards have only canned food and outside of a few drinks and some bad milk in the fridge, the kitchen is pretty sparse. You go into the living room/bed room and do a search there as well. Outside of some clothes and lots of old, practically antique books you don't find much. Looking at the titles of the book you notice that most of them are old books on "The Possibility of Space Travel" however one book in particular is labeled "The Tales of King Arthur".

Taking the book out you flip through it, finding that over the standard print are odd characters written in some kind of ink. The characters are unfamiliar to you, but you can tell that they were written in the dark, possibly written by someone with their eyes closed. You know this because you took a bet with Scarlet that you could write all your book reports with your eyes closed.

You failed pretty miserably, but whoever wrote in this book did a lot better as the characters are properly spaced. If Uther wrote in this book he took a lot of time and effort...

The apartment doesn't yield much else. You check the many pill bottles Uther had sampled from and find they are all unlabeled and empty, save for a single pill you find that had probably fallen on the floor while Uther was opening the pill bottle.

Putting the single blue pill in one of the pill bottles, you bag it along with the book.

You look outside and see Rena parked out front...

*Cont*
>>
>>27488850
You and Rena get Uther's body to the car without anyone spotting you. Once the body is in the back Rena begins driving you back to the Diva as you catch her up on what happened.

"That's pretty damn bizarre Dirk. What do you want to do? I don't doubt something weird is going on but we need to handle this properly." Rena states.

What do you wish to do Dirk? You have two pieces of evidence that need to be analyzed and a body that needs to be looked over as well.

You know there is a spy in your team and that you're probably being watched over by Emily and whoever she works for. Uther said a lot of crazy stuff back there and the idea some else is involved in all this is pretty creepy...

But you have to try and figure out what happened to Uther. So what do you plan to do?
>>
>>27488941
We go see Flit, fill him in on what happened, and see if he can help us out with this.
He can probably get us some doctors he trusts, as well as keep Leviathan or whoever shows up off our back.
>>
>>27488941
MID scans and photocopies the entire damn book. The evidence needs to go to Jake, Flit and Grodek in that order. If only we had a pill cutter...

Uther needs multiple doctors to examine him before all traces of chemicals lost. And by multiple, I mean different doctors, multiple sessions.
>>
>>27489018
What if Uther's actually faking his own death? He probably could do it, if he is a nanotech cyborg who admitted that he researched all the various ways to expand his life.
>>
>>27488941
Okay, first thing is we stash Uther's corpse. We want to put him in cryostasis to make sure he doesn't degrade any further. Whether from natural causes or the nanites eating him. Nanotechnology should shut down from low temperatures just like biological systems at that scale, so we shouldn't have the same problem Ezelcant's security implants caused. Just in case, we should scan his body before we do so to look for any macroscale cybernetics in him that could fry him while he's in storage. We can probably reconfigure something from mobile suit sensors, millimeter-wave radar would do the trick and is almost certainly in our optical systems. Let's take a blood sample, too, to see if there are any technocytes floating around in his bloodstream. Then we freeze him and stash him and a self-contained power source somewhere out of the way where no one would find it. Wherever we've been locking down the results of our own nanite experiments, perhaps?

Then once that's safely stored, we scan the margin notes with the highest resolution we can and send it on a secure communications channel to Ma G and Jake. We want backup copies, and maybe an AI created by him, even if she doesn't remember it, would have some insight into Uther's thought processes. Then we set some data miners to the task of seeing if the characters match any known language or are a complete cipher. Maybe he's just writing in some obscure dialect of Japanese, he told us he was a weeaboo.

Then while that's running we should check out the pill. What doctors around here do we trust? I don't think there are any of them. That part might take a while to deal with.
>>
>>27489127
He probably can come back from the dead, actually. It's not that inconceivable if you're a mad scientist with access to cybernetics, nanotechnology and mind-machine interfaces. Storing his digitized mind state in some heavily-armored and redundant nanocomputers in his bone marrow wouldn't be that hard. Then the repair nanites just put him back together, even if the brain is mushed. Even if he's right about the Arthur thing, and not lying, that could still be the case. Make your hated father immortal so that he can't even end his suffering through suicide, it fits with what Uther said about Arthur.
>>
>>27489175
I don't know if the nanotech in him is advanced enough to pull him back together from something like that. But some genetic enhancements, nanites and such things would allow him to regenerate a lot of damage, maybe even allow him to repair brain damage.

And speaking of which, there's always the possibility of Uther having some considerable brain damage - the nanites fix the brain, but the memory is gone. Kinda like what would happen to Desil's parents if we got the nanotech to them. So he tried to fill in the gaps in his memory, only for someone to find him, convince him that Arthur did all that shit to him, and get him isolated until they can do something about him.

First thing you do is have MID Photocopy the book just in case. It's pretty easy with all the tools he has build into him. You then think of a way to freeze Uther. You can't think of any doctors or anyone you trust that has any medical knowledge to do a proper look over of Uther. So the best thing to do is just to freeze his ass. There are Cyropods aboard the Diva, reserved for special situations where they need to preserve someone for surgery they can't immediately get. The Cryo Units are stored in a special room at the center of the ship. It's normally not accessed and isn't exactly heavily guarded. You could store Uther in there and maybe use some of the medical equipment to scan him for anymore surprises.

You call Flit and ask for some help getting something aboard the Diva without anyone noticing. He arranged for you two to park at the space port and load the body into a sealed trolley crate. You bring the crate aboard with no one paying any mind and get into the cyro-stasis room, which Flit obtained the passcode for.

Entering the room you get Uther out of the Trolly and set him into the Cryostasis pod. Thanks to Rena's help you manage to give him a quick scan for anything unusual in his brain and thankfully you don't pick up anything that could blow his head up.

Sealing him in you freeze him and sit down to think.

You need to get the pill you found analyzed, figuring out what he took might help you figure out what happened to him.

You need to get cracking on figuring out what the hell is written in the book and what it means

You also need to get someone with some medical expertise to look over Uther and run tests. If he does have nano-machines in him and he claims that Arthur won't allow him to die, it's possible this death is only temporary. If he's just dead then you need to figure out how he died and weather or not it was suicide or some kind of triggered death.

So Dirk, what do you plan to do?
>>
>>27489508
Fill Flit in on what happened, see if he has any ideas about this. He probably wants to know what the fuck are we doing with a dead old guy and why did we bring him aboard.
>>
>>27489508
Aunt Rysis. Snap photo of Uther's face, send to her.
Jake. We don't know nanomachines, do we?
Grodek. He's Grodek.
>>
>>27489508
Okay, for the writing, we set up a data miner to work on determining the grammatical and syntactic order of the symbols, see if they correspond to any language. Have MID work on that too, he's a computer intelligence, he can work on a wireless connection to the mainframe. And now that he knows Grandpa is safe (in the eventuality that he does revive, at least), figuring out what he was writing about with such secrecy would probably be the next thing on his mind.
>>
>>27489630
Speaking of Jake, did Flit send over the data on the nanomachines? We could probably find a way to save Desil's parents if he did.
>>
>>27489649
You put MID on seeing of the if he can find any meaning to the symbols by doing some research online. He goes into 'idle' mode to focus all his processing power on the task. Hopefully he finds something.

>>27489561
You decide to go to Flit and explain the situation, and why you asked his help to get a body on board. You tell him everything and he seems to understand.

"That's pretty disturbing. I've always thought your Father's fact seeking into Arthur was merely his interest in the past, however if there's any weight because what the old man said, even if Arthur isn't involved, it may prove useful. Still, I'm afraid there aren't any doctors or medical personal here that I know of that would be trust worthy in looking over Uther. Back at Big Ring I have some trusted medical personnel l I could lend you, but you'll have to wait until this mission is over. If you like I can have the book and the pill put somewhere safe until we arrive at Big Ring, if you wish to hide it yourself be careful where you hide it. " Flit says.

You have 6 hours of shore leave yet and you don't have anyone to look over Uther. You might have to put your investigation on hold unless you can think of something...

What do you wish to do Dirk?
>>
>>27489903
Well, if we were willing to decrease the already small amount of the pill we have, we could take a sample and give it to the nanomachines. They could give us a molecular model of the active ingredients in it, even if we didn't know what they actually did. It would at least speed things up when we get back to Big Ring.
>>
>>27489903
Let Flit keep the book and the pill. We could send them over to Zarth, but with all the crap going on over there, it'd probably take a while for this stuff to be properly analyzed. As for examining Uther, no idea. The only doctor aboard the Diva that we know is Emily, and she has a tendency to disappear and appear whenever we're shot, and we can't be sure whether she's a spy or not.

I guess Uther will have to wait, then. We'll examine his vitals from time to time, maybe something changes while he's in cryostatis. Unlikely, but possible.

We should call Zarth, see what's going on over there. We could call Jake, see if he has some ideas. There's also Rysis, though I doubt that she and MID would buy into this "Arthur is evil" thing.
>>
>>27490208
That's a good idea. We could take a small sample, and have MID control the nanomachines to analyze that stuff. We probably would need to program them or make them capable of analyzing materials, though. I don't think we refined them enough for them to be capable of analyzing materials.

But MID could. MID was capable of latching onto us and evolving, maybe he's able to analyze the chemical structure of the pill and then search online for whatever it is.
>>
>>27490224
No, I'm pretty sure Rysis would entirely accept the idea that Arthur is evil. Remember how she was going on about how he was just as much a killer as she was, back when we first met her? Also, consider what's been going on with Travis. He disappears for a while, then comes back roaring drunk and raving about how the Federation are all bastards for what happened with Arthur. And then he tells us Arthur instructed him to give Rysis a CD when next he saw her. Travis has been unfrozen for the past twenty-five years. And he told Scarlet that knowing too much about it would be bad for her. There are plenty of explanations for all that which don't involve Arthur still being alive. But Rysis would, I think, at least consider the possibility.

Also, we really need to investigate why Arthur looks so much like Jake. It's going to turn out that Arthur is our great-grandfather, or Jake is his clone or something like that, isn't it? We need to put DNA testing on the list of things to check about Uther's corpse when we get down to all this. Though that could lead to very horrifying things is it turns out Rysis and Arthur had a kid at some point. Nothing like learning you've been hitting on your grandson and great-grandson, isn't it, Grandma?
>>
>>27490412
Wanna know the easiest way to find out.
We have a Time Machine, let's go and take a look for ourselves. If we use the IUS, we should be able to stay mostly out of sight.
>>
>>27490465
I know, right? Daiki is too paranoid about causal violation. Sure, he did some butterfly effect shenanigans, but look at how many things weren't changed. Really, the only things to change were the people without plot armor. I think we've built up enough of that now that we time travel safely despite being non-canon.
>>
>>27490465

Well, Rysis was insane during that time because she didn't unfreeze properly from her cryostatis, so we should take what she said back then with a grain of salt.

As for Travis, he could've found that CD recently instead of Arthur just dropping in out of nowhere and giving it to him. Arthur probably gave him the CD in case he doesn't come back from whatever mission he was on (probably taking out Uther) and told him to give it to Rysis - probably while they were aboard that ship that transported SID, shortly before the Gundam disappeared. Travis could've also stumbled upon some other thing dealing with Arthur - something the Feds did to him.

My guess? Travis found out that the Feds removed Arthur from history, and are blaming him for hiding the EXA-DB from them and who knows what else. So Arthur - if he is awake - is considered a traitor and who knows what else by the Feds, despite everything he has done and sacrificed for them. And everyone dealing with Arthur is to be considered a traitor as well and is to be fucked with mercilessly - like Uther was.
>>
>>27490664
I still think it's just ridiculous that a man named Uther and a woman named Igraine even met, let alone had a child together. How does that even happen? I'm willing to blame time travel hijinks for the implausibility of that. Or Uther was just using a false name for her because he either has brain damage and can't remember her real one, or still can't think of her directly without pain. That's more probable, I guess.
>>
>>27490722
Very good points. Like I said, there are plenty of other explanations that fit the data we have. But who knows how much Rysis knows? She'd at least wonder if our crazy idea was right. Much more bizarre things have happened in her life, especially since she was unfrozen.
>>
>>27490224
>>27490281
You decide to leave the book with Flit along with the pill. Sadly MID doesn't have the equipment to break down an analyze substances and the nano-machines you cooked up are only good for breaking down and building materials.

You'll make sure to check up on Uther now and then, but your investigation will have to wait till you get back to Big Ring.

You decide to give Zarth a call and see how things are going. You try calling Dad but you don't get a reply. When you call Mom she tells you what happened.

Dad was nearly kidnapped and ended up getting shot to shit. He's stable, but he has a lot of internal damage. He won't be able to move around or work on anything but recovering for at least nine months. He's asleep at the moment so you can't even say hi to him.

Thankfully you hear from Scarlet that things are going pretty well and that you don't have to worry about anything like that happening again.

Hanging up you realize Dad won't be able to help you now and that you're on your own in terms of the Nanotech project and solving this weird and crazy bullshit.

You have 5 hours left of your shore leave. How do you want to spend it Dirk?
>>
>>27490796
Honestly, the Feds hating the living shit out of Uther and Arthur and everyone who's in some way related to them would explain why Travis didn't want to talk about him with Scarlet. These are the guys who refused to use the AGE builder when Flit offered it to them because they were petty dicks and couldn't stand someone doing their job properly and making them look bad.

Imagine how much they'd hate a guy who worked both for them and their enemy, and then his son decides to stop their war, lock away all their data, and make them sign a treaty that forces them to treat the colonies better and humiliates them. And just to fuck with them even more, his suit is considered the Legendary Savior.

Seriously, Arthur is probably the most hated guy in the upper echelons of Federation society.
>>
>>27490984
Makes you wonder just how much of the shit Jake has had to deal with is because of lingering resentment reignited by him discovering the Gundam. I mean, they did take a 15 year-old kid and throw him into what should have been a suicide mission. The Armstrong was pretty much tailor-made to kill off a bunch of people they didn't like. Unfortunately for them, we all turned out to actually be totally awesome.
>>
>>27490933
Check on what Yurika and Akito are up to. They were still on the ship, last they were mentioned. How have they been enjoying their leave? Gotten to spend some time with their dad?
>>
>>27490933
Grab a drink and see how Desil's holding up.

>>27491040
Probably a ton. Grodek and his entire crew made the Feds look like incompetent twats (which they are) by destroying Ambat, and instead of being hailed as heroes, Grodek gets thrown into jail, and Flit and Jake get enlisted in the army, with their charges (for saving their homes) dropped, but not forgotten.

And don't forget the Olfenoas, who decided to collaborate with the Vagans simply so their family's reputation doesn't get tarnished. They removed all traces of the colonization of Mars from history so their reputation remains untarnished - they'd probably do something similar to anybody who's in any way related to Arthur or Uther.
>>
>>27491214
Yeah, let's do this. We can bug Desil later.
>>
>>27491214
You decide to check up on Yurika and Akito. If you have time later you'll bug Desil.

You ask Flit where his kids are and he tells you they're probably hanging out in the Rec room. You're surprised at this since the Diva's Rec room sucks. All it has is a crappy pinball machine, a few beat up couches, magazines so old Arthur could have read some of them, and a Television with a multi-media player that didn't work half the time.

I guess when they were building the Next Generation Carrier they had to make budget cuts somewhere.

Going down to the Rec room you find Yurika and Akito both sprawled out on the couch, watching shitty movies and riffing on them while they enjoy some popcorn. You' haven't seen Akito this relaxed since you where kids.

What do you wish to do Dirk? Chat with them? Join them in their Riffing?
>>
>>27491641
Yeah, let's Riff. We just did some spy shit, now we need to mock terrible movies.
>>
>>27491641
Sure, let's join them. It's been a while since we hang out.
>>
>>27490933
> recovering for at least nine months
Welp, the Gundam Crusader isn't going to be of much use to us in the next battle.

Unless we find Arthur in that forgotten shelter and get him to pilot it for us.
>>
>>27491699
>>27491722
"Hey guys, mind if I join you two?" You ask.

Akito immediately looks uncomfortable but Yurika taps him on the shoulder and shakes her head, as if telling him not to worry about it.

"Sure, but you'll have to be our popcorn bitch." Akito says with an amused smile, holding up the now empty popcorn bowl.

You refill the popcorn bowl with a visit to the microwave in the lounge and you return and sit down to poke fun at a very, very, very old movie. Something called "Batman and Robin" and for something made nearly 1000 years ago it's pretty terrible. If wines get better with age, movies do not.

You spend a good hour and a half making fun of the movie and laughing at the others quips.

Do you want to ask the two anything while they're looking for another movie to bash or do you just want to have fun with them?
>>
>>27491933
Ask them what's been going on with them., how's everything, that stuff.

How's Akito's arm holding up?
>>
>>27491933
No need for us to ruin this ice moment. We don't want Akito to give us the cold shoulder. That would put a real freeze on our festivities. Let's just stay cool and chill with them.

Seriously, I fucking love Batman and Robin. It is completely and unapologetically silly. The other nineties Batman movies made the mistake of trying to have silly Batman and serious Batman at the same time. B&R has no such pretenses.
>>
(Oh just a note, I have nothing against Batman and Robin, it's just a very easy to make fun of and it's the first thing that came to mind)
>>27492015
>>27492023
You decide not to ruin the moment, but you ask about Akito's arm and how it's holding up.

"It's a lot better. Still pretty sore and it hurts if I jerk it around to much, but I'll be able to fight at Big Ring without any problems." Akito says, holding up and flexing his hand. "How's your arm doing?"

"Well when I find it I'll let you know." You say, flipping Akito the bird with your MID arm, causing Yurika to burst out laughing.

You sit down and enjoy making fun of some old Cartoons for another hour and a half, just enjoying the company of Akito and Yurika. For a little while you feel just like a kid again. However a voice over the intercom destroys the magical moment.

"2 Hours of shore leave left. Repeat, 2 hours of shore leave left ."

"Ah crap. I need to tune up the AGE-2. I got that new wear I need to test out..." Akito says with a sigh.

"Yeah, I should probably work on the Phoenix wear a little bit..." Yurika says, getting up to leave.

What do you want to do Dirk? You still haven't talked to Desil yet.

"Hey, I'll go see Desil, see how he's doing. If you guys need any help with your suits, tell me, okay?"
"And Yurika, before I forget - those funnels we made are awesome. Thanks for the help."

Then lets go see how Desil's holding up. Do we know where the Magnificent 7 are stationed? Are they going with us on this mission or not?
And where is Hunter going to be stationed?
>>
>>27492149
First, ask Akito about his new wear. I wonder which it will be. Judgia? Amateras? Jiarc? I know it can't be the Wolff, if that ones goes to anyone but Asemu something very wrong will have happened.

After that, let's go search for Desil. See if he's feeling better now, and fill him in on the "your brother keeps fucking shooting me" situation. His reaction to the robot arm should be interesting.

The Amaterasu would be interesting, but I guess it'd require us to first invent the reflective plating needed for it.
It's probably going to be the Jiarc.
>>
>>27492368
Yurika mentioned that Flit had sent over some data on reflective coating. It was the initial plan for the shield funnels before we switched to beam shields. Amaterasu could be viable. Or it could just be the Artimes or something like that.

"So what's this new wear you have?" You ask eagerly, always excited by new tech, wears, and suits.

"It's called the Amateras. I'll tell you about it when shore leave ends. Say hi to your Uncle for me." Akito says before turning and walking away.

You leave to find Desil, who is stationed aboard the Amadeus along with the rest of the Magnificent 7. You see Hunter's Zeydra passing by the hanger, so you assume he's been stationed there as well. You find him taking a nap in his room, the others are still probably out partying.

How do you want to approach him Dirk? What do you want to say?
>>
>>27492412
He's asleep? Oh, well, that makes talking to him not really an option. Waking a guy just to ask him how he feels about having to kill his siblings is pretty bad form.
>>
>>27492412
Isn't Desil their uncle as well? I mean, he is Yurin's adopted brother.

Anyway, knock on the door, and if he's asleep, just write him a note telling him to call you if he wants to shoot some shit.
>>
>>27492481
>Isn't Desil their uncle as well?
(Crap, slipped my mine)
You knock on the door to see if he's just napping or is actually a asleep. It turns out he's just resting his eyes.

He gets out of bed, stretches and yawns.

"Hey Dirk, how's it going?" He asks, scratching his red bedhead hair.

"I'm OK. I just wanted to have a chat with you. We really haven't done anything in a while, so I was wondering if you want to shoot the shit with our last two hours of shore leave." You say, trying not to come forward with the fact you want to talk about with happened with his siblings.

"There's only two hours left? Crap, I'm sorry. I guess time flies after a few drinks. Sure, I'm game. What do you want to do?"

Well Dirk? What do you want to do with Uncle Desil?
>>
>>27492541
"You up for a drink? I could use one after all the stuff that's been going on."
>>
>>27492668
He just got back from drinking, and was sleeping it off. And we had plenty of time to relax with Akito and Yurika, we shouldn't go drinking now.
>>
>>27492723
Okay, how about something to eat? Or whatever he's up for.
>>
>>27492541
"Eh, don't worry about it. It's shore leave, losing track of time is the whole point...So, um, I'm a cyborg now. There's...there's really no way to work that into a conversation naturally. Sorry. But yeah, MID has fused himself to my nervous system. I kind of got pretty banged up during Zeheart's escape, MID did too, apparently joining us together was his repair systems' way of killing two birds with one stone. Please don't tell Mom. I'm trying to ease into it with telling the people I care about."
>>
>>27492848
"I'm dreading what will happen when Aunt Rysis finds out. Please keep me safe from her."

Side note, we should be wary of the Olfenoa kid.
Who knows what the guy's capable of doing. Sure, he might seem nice and goofy, but it could all be an act.

He eats mapo tofu.

That's all you need to know before running away.
>>
>>27492985
He's going to turn out worse than Zeheart, isn't he.
>>
>>27493113
See, this is why I feel we need to kill Zeheart, soon. There's just not enough room for antagonists. At the very least we can't let him survive to Gen 3. Between him, Ezelcant, Gera Zins, Leviathan, SID and maybe Arthur, Gen 3 will just be too busy. We have to prune the branches of the major villain tree.

You decide to grab a quick bite to eat. You're kind of broke so you stick with going to the mess hall and getting some grub. After sitting down to some Tomato soup you decide to break the ice with a confess.

"Listen, Uncle Desil I'm kind of a Cyborg now." You say, holding up your MID hand. "Please don't tell Mom, I'm kind of easing into it by telling you. It wasn't intentional and it was to save my life and MIDS." You say suddenly.

Desil sits there in silence for a moment.

"Is it hard to wipe?" He asks.

"A little, gotta be careful I don't cut my butt with these fingers. I'm pretty sure MID's glad he can't smell." You state, kind of glad MID still in idle mode so he doesn't have to remember the sight of your backside.

You try to ease into things by talking about other stuff, funny things that happened with Dad, Christmas at Flit's house that one year, and that time your sister ran a 72 hour Tabletop gaming session that ended up burning down the garage your family used to have. To this day she's still not allowed to make Smores anywhere near the house.

Eventually you ask Desil about his siblings.

He sighs and finishes off his third bowl of soup. "I always knew I may have to fight them. Ezelcant...warps people. He fucks with their minds, enters every part of their lives and twists them until they can only see what he's told them. Zeheart's like that. He's ether blind to the truth or he's terrified that he's been wrong this whole time. I may still love my siblings, but I have another family to take care of. I'd rather kill my siblings then let them murder in the name of some insane maniac. I do feel sad about it, but at the same time I'm glad that I've stopped one of them from killing anyone else..."

Your thoughts on this Dirk?

If we manage to save Desil's parents, maybe we can get Zeheart to join us. And once it's revealed that the guy wanted to pull a colony drop (something the Vagans would never allow considering how Earth is Eden to them), he'll have no choice but to either die or join our side.

SID is going to be protecting the EXA-DB, and we might have a run in with him sooner than we expect, considering how one of our new objectives is finding out who the Inertia dude is.

Apparently, SID went insane because he couldn't accomplish his objectives - protecting the EXA-DB and taking down anyone who got his hands on its content. And when Ezelcant managed to hack into it, he couldn't leave the EXA-DB behind to hunt down Ezelcant, and he couldn't hunt down Ezelcant because he had to protect the EXA-DB. Maybe if we convince the thing to let us kill Ezelcant for him, he'll not be a threat - though I guess we'd need both MID and the SENTINEL system for that to work.

That leaves the Vagans under the Ezelcant / SIN hybrid, and Leviathan. Arthur is probably going to end up on our side once he and Rysis have their long awaited reunion.

"I don't know what to say, man. I'm sorry for your loss, I really am. If you need anything, just let me know, alright? I'll try to help somehow. We're going to make that evil cunt pay for all the shit he's done."

"As for Zeheart... I think he realizes that he's been wrong, but he doesn't care anymore. When I met him on during the raid on the Luna base - you know, the second time he shot me - we talked, and I think that he doesn't want to do his crap, but that he doesn't know what else to do. He's lost, and pissed off, and that only makes him more dangerous. But I'll try to do whatever I can to get that asshole to calm down. I promise."
>>
>>27493813
"I understand man. Listen if there's anything you need, you know where to come." You say. Before you can go on and say anything else, the ship shakes and seconds later alarms begin to screech.

"All hands to battle stations, Vagans are inside of the Colony, repeat, Vagans are inside of the colony!"

(This where I'll end things tonight. Sorry it was so slow on my end. http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/27487584/

Night guys!)
>>
>>27493980
Fun as always, man. See you next time.
>>
>>27493980
Aren't they always? I don't even know why our colonies have walls, anymore. Well, at least they were polite enough to let us have our break first.

Anyways, good thread, Crosswire. See you next time for the Case of the Skeleton Shelter.

Damn it, now I want to introduce Fram to Nancy Drew novels. Put it on the list of things to do when adapting her to life with the Crockers.

I wonder why they attacked now. Did Asemu and Woolf accidentally run into their secret operation over here? Or did they come for Uther?
