You are Torg the bandits are having a competition to see who could cause the biggest EXPLOISON. They however were not expecting you TORG. While everyone else was causing booms and bangs with whatever they could grab you decide to show them how you don’t need ANYTHING to make the biggest BOOM. As in there you are walking to the center of the crater where everyone is laughing at you due to you having nothing with you. They shall learn.
“EXPLOSIONS”
That was the day that those there witnessed the largest explosion ever known among the bandit games occurred.

You are Ramona you have taken part in the demolition derby…which had EVERYTHING from trucks to Gigga class vehicles. You started at the bottom circuit and made your way to the top. All the while your ride consumed those you fell before you. You ended up winning with a…much bigger ride. And so many guns the bandits were cheering their heads off when they saw you ride literally EAT other vehicles. They thought it was pure awesome….ah if only there were more women among their ranks…dicks just don’t do anything for you.
Won Gigga hero ride The Devourer.
Vehicle plans Gigga class Wrathful Bandit Spider Tank

Alexis meanwhile took part in hunting da biggest baddest most badass motherfucker competition. The game was to take out the nastiest mofo there. Most failed miserably a few managed to net some badasses while the best ones brought down a Ravager. Alexis however near the very end of the games brought in a Reaver. How she got managed to find a reaver much less bring one in is something no one dared to ask. Even other reaver participants were most impressed mostly because she somehow managed to bring in a stationary reaver of all things. Not even a wonderer type.

During the death race Romona and Alexis took part. It was a tough match many hardened and heroic bandits were part of the game and it was doubtful who was going to win. That was until Torg showed up who for some reason forgot it was actually a race and not a competition over how many enemies you can make EXPLODE. The ensuing havoc made Ramona enjoy a new feast now boosting her speed. Unfortunately for them both Alexis took advantage and got across the finish line winning first place. Torg for some reason never actually finished the race but rather wondered off into the boom foo games.
When the arena games started our forces quickly climbed to top despite their lesser training or experience the hivemind saved their bacon time and time again. Then however in the final run our Forces knew they might not win looked like the others had caught on and planned to work together. What they were not expecting however was dear ol GlowyJoe who decided that they were more glowy than our forces thanks to all their hi tech. Suffice to say there were no survivors. It ended with glowyJoe charging into the sunset of a wasteland screaming about why he can never find a hoe that is actually a farm implement. So we won thanks to all that glows(note to self when using hi tech make sure to make it less glowy).

That above was only a part of the shenanigans the heroes found them in. When they finally took a break looking around discovering that this event is so big for the bandits that it’s a continental level event for them. We discovered countless bandit factions, gangs, pirates, and more. Massive amounts of trade went on using all sorts of stuff as payment. Tech was prevalent but the high tech stuff cost a premium. Military grade was widely available if expensive. Trade agreements we found a TON of groups interested in our augmentation capacities. Biofuel much less so all those new bandits groups have been pouring it out of the swamp. Though once they found out we had real high grade and even explosive stuff we found some customers quite quickly there. Apparently slop is easy to get but anything else is as costly/rare as always.

Tech wise plenty for sale just not really the blueprints. Surprise Surprise they got tons of things that kill but anything is noticeably lacking. We still managed to wrangle up some plans though mostly general bandit stock though.
Doom buggies unlocked
Bandit vehicles unlocked to Super class.
Advanced Bandit weaponry unlocked.
Bandit Armor Advanced unlocked.

Recruitment we didn’t find much though we may have impressed the lot of them but they all had their own business to to attend to not to mention recruiting there is frowned upon.

The ghouls are holding of the GIGANTIC ZOMBIE HORDE to the East we even detected a few dirty bombs going off. While to the west the fighting between rednecks and bandits are really starting to pick up. Both ghoul and bandit forces have mobilized to deal with zombie hordes. As far as I know, Marcus is still under employ of the Supermutants (his most lucrative customer) and that wouldn't be very profitable for him if they found out about it.

Though one day, under better circumstances, we should fix our industry as well as our bio.
>>
>>27456900
no, actually he left the swamp going south. we may never see him agian. at least until we conquer the damnable swamp
>>
>>27456896
Yeah, but they're just the very basic proto's. We still need to add the spider traits (Fixers for construction and resource gathering, Webbers for bigass webs, Jumpers because holy shit jumping tank sized spiders, and inevitably a mother (perhaps we can base the SST off that)). ON top of integrating the old bandit, artillery, plasma tech ect.

But that is a lot of research and we have pressing matters. We'll develop later after we deal with the Mobile Base fiasco.

Not really, Clora is too busy helping Richard with his old soldier conversions to build lovenest or biofacilities proper.
>>
Rolled 8

>>27457025

I completely agree. The Super-Psionic Railgun would just be for taking out big-stuff that gets close, we're butting up against a wall of being able to take out big stuff with our technology as we now lack the ability to manufacture SSTs and Massives. We need to find some way around that.
>>
>>27457053
it is rather unclear what exactly they are doing, but they are doing it at the new base so it is possible she is multi-tasking. plus she has plenty of help.

and i would actually like to keep half of the troops in stasis for us.

>>27457025
or we could just shoot them to death, and railguns have always been very good at armor piercing. lets just make them reliable and make a good deal of them, not relying on prototypes and not relying on a single cannon. on the other hand we could build a couple giant ones for each of our bases. it would greatly add to the defense. and those things arent exactly mobile anyway
>>
Rolled 33

>>27456698
Forces got close but the fighting was so fierce we couldn't get to close unless you wanted a dead scout. As their not careful about shooting anyone who isn't one of their own. Only thing we know is its ongoing.

Alexis as noted that there is a pack of mobile bases per each section of the swamp. Every random amount of time they rotate randomly. Apparently they strike at targets of opportunity or keep enemies away from certain areas if they snoop to much around there.

Psionic Railgun research continues with Rasa help. Finished buffing out the two models pure cyrstal and hybrid. Only problem is as usual we don't got to many crystals. On the plus side though Rasa figured out crystal ammo is capable of slicing through psionic protection such as shields with much more ability then anything else we find.

Nodes feed of this energy and convert it to something else. Usually something that feeds other crystals or changes it directly into psionic energy. That is a base crystals other variants can do the same thing with other things. As for what this energy is its entirely unknown it was a recently discovered phenomenon that research had only just began on."
>"As for what these crystals are...unknown they seem to collect what they need in strange seemingly impossible ways and grow. Even more interesting they will often actually help their new home. >There is a strange type of 'energy' that floats around undetectable by all excpet psionics and even they have to train to detect it nor can they control it
it is worded so that it could go either way. so that with lots of training they might be able to, or it is just flat out impossible. also, remember we asked BURK or EDE, neither of which are psionic researching A.I.s

it is possible that with a sentient crystal, living crystal golems, and psionic centered hivemind we may be able to do it.

the very least it is worth is a bit of attempting, and talking

Adjustement to bioborg spider tank plans mimicing the smaller variants is underway. We have upgraded 1 of said strains to larger type.

Resource teams brought back 7 resources amongst the roaming zombie hordes. They accidentally set one off but not before having their loads filled and were able to make a getaway.

Ghoul forces came by to pick up the offering of vehicles. Inexchange they gave us ghoulish conversion template.

ghoulish: Much more Hazardous as many safety features are ignored or stripped out in order to make it stronger and tougher. Warning users best beware how toxic they are not recommended for human or even some mutant usage.

Mad science roll not declared. Not to mention he is sorta on his way back home.

>>27457430
Its confirmed psionic users cannot influence the energy and have to train to even detect it.

>>27457434
Ramona is puzzled whoever designed their strategies and tactics clearly knows what their doing. Weakness wise...they have been upgraded since she last saw them in action. As usual the Super Mutants are proving to know exactly what they are doing.

Next time user you need a tactician to figure out another tactician. Ramona is NOT tactician and only pilot not even much of an engineer.

Hellhole construction stalled not enough resources.

All mutants have been dosed with base mutagens.

Spiderborg Research webbers has been completed.

News

the Hillbillies have broken through bandit lines and our pushing them out of their swamp into ours. Half the bandit populace has been removed in the Western Swamp.

There are still plenty of zombie hordes wondering around.

Bandits are expecting reinforcements.

Ghoul caravans have been detected traveling between ghoul dens. It seems they are up to something.

It is also worth noting that the odd acting zombies have all descended on Bandit bases in mass.

Redneck hillbillie forces have halted.

The GIGANTIC zombie horde is still halted.

Ghoul forces have yet to become active.

Clora'Zel when asked about Brood Kings promptly rolls over to the other side away from the questioner and murmurs don't know how they are made. Before ignoring any further requests to find out. Instead she continues to take naps in between fiddling with random pieces of tech and wondering amongst her brood.

When I asked Richard he only stated something about them being some sort of cocktail even by brood standards. Only problem is you will usually end up failing to create them and even if you did their lifespan is amazingly brief. He doesn't know the exact details other then stable Brood King is a miracle.

You are Gristle a ghoul charging out after having seen the nukes going off. Your mission is simple to retake lost ground and then some. Charging amongst the flailing zombies who slowly turned into ghouls. At least the basic ones anyway. Mutant zombies are not nearly so effected. With that you saw a leaper amongst the branches you opened fired. When you then the familiar screeches and bellows of a oncoming ghoulish horde. Looks like the wranglers are setting lose their pets to help reclaim ground. Behind and among the oncoming ghoul horde you noticed ghoulish vehicles. Thus you charged forward firing upon the mutant zombies. Your forces made mopping up the enemy but something felt wrong...that is when you realized dawned upon you.

The ground wasn't rumbling in step with the ghouls.

That was when you realized and tried to use radio to warn the bosses. By then however it was already too late. The ground erupted and unleashed a hordes of zombies everywhere. Completely breaking your formation. Before you knew despite your massive influx of ghouls your forces were being routed...and they had nowhere to run. The ground everywhere seemed to be erupting explosively in zombies. That was when you hefted your rifle and knew looks like you wouldn't be walking out of this place and charged down a tunnel..straight at the oncoming zombie horde.

That was when your radio picked up a strange message.

Mind sharing in the fun? Super mutants and their goody goodness got old.

That was when you noticed a Reaver leaping straight into the horde.

You smiled a smile that even caused zombies to take pause.

Forces got sent to the hive...it was a fucking disaster as soon as we got close it erupted. We lost suffered heavy losses. Our guys are used to dealing with ordinary zombies not mutants much less an entire hives worth...

Losses 300 Rix
400 Strong Arm
500 Memor
all basic ghouls
All STs and hover tanks were lost.
Half our SSTs were wrecked and had to be left behind.
50 Tectus
250 Viroz
200 Buggers
100 Vizen
200 Mulic
100 Ortor

We lost contact with Irewin has he stayed behind with the ferals to hold off the endless tide however long they could...
Hero Lost
Ferals Lost

Torg stayed behind when the Hive called upon nearby zombie hordes which descended upon our forces and when the ground erupted under our forces...the last thing the Hivemind felt of Torg was the rumbling of the ground as whatever he did detonated.

Status unknown.

The only seeming redeeming aspect of our operations were the Spawn who ambushed the oncoming Super Mutants forcing them to back off while our forces retreated from the Hive.

Sensors have indicated that zombies are erupting from underground throughout the swamp. Often times directly inside bandit and ghoul bases. They are both struggling to hold on now being attacked from within and without.

Both them responded by unleashing dirty bombs underground.

Sensors have detected a noticeable increase Mobile Base presence in the Northern Swamp. They have completely changed their operations and routes.

NUKE DETECTED.
Y
ou know that zombie hive that we got our asses kicked at? It sorta when BOOM. With the fallout pushed out Wrangler Irewin riding a horde of freshly turned ghouls...including some interesting new types. Have no idea what to make of them though. Or what happened to Torg for that matter.
In any case gonna end the thread here but I will stick around a little while for questions.

still, running this quest with one person hasnt done well in the past, i did it before and shit did not go well at all.

>>27462583
well this is good news. i really like this Irwin guy. and im sure that Torg will be fine, he is literally made of explosions after all.

so how many ghouls did we get?
is there anyway to properly put those 1500 vizen to use? cause they arent really combat orientated any numbers isnt what their job requires
>>
Rolled 61

>>27462583
What will we have to do to get automatic resource collection? Also, how effective will our BorgSTs be at offense when we needed them.
>>
Rolled 4

>>27462583
did that 100 get put to use?
>>
Rolled 11

>>27462610

Yeah, I know that feel. See the above attack on the zombie horde.

I'm stumped as to uses for the Vizen. They're fairly good at stealth, and good diplomats. I think they can more than hold their own in combat...but they don't really fit a niche.

>>27462650
so nothing without some serious mutating. curious what EDE has to say
>>
Rolled 74

>>27462610
25000 ghouls acquired
5000 specials
2500 unknowns

>>27462616
Unknown you'll have to figure that one out.

>>27462629
Affirmative had to come up with a good idea is all.

>>27462650
Vizen are actually fucking AMAZING at disappearing when they want to or becoming obvious if they don't. Tectus actually lose against them hands down stealth wise. Everywhere else however they trump them. That is at least what I have detected anyway.

>detected
>stealth
lol

so vizen huh? well spies is obvious, that'll only take maybe a mutation to contain there beauty or tone it down so that they dont kill the guard as they pass a deceive check.

but what else?
>>
Rolled 73

>>27462698
Do we have to feed the ghouls?
>>
Rolled 85

>>27462698
but 25000 ghouls? that is quite nice. set them up in our ghoul camp/ruin under Irwins care. we now have quite the force of ghouls. i dont think we will have to worry about them to much because whatever is controlling the zombies (SWH or BOB) is avoiding us.

is the addition of a ghoul intot he hivemind possible?
>>
Rolled 5

>>27462724
Maybe mutate out their tendency to kill people when they look at them while we're at it.
>>
Rolled 68

>>27462732
not the ferals if we keep them caged properly. i think. but we dont have to feed them as much as they would like. we just have to make sure to keep the sane ones well fed.

and im curious about the ghoul dude we got a monolouge with in the zombie eruption
>>
Rolled 63

>>27462698
would it be possible to program BorgSTs to bring resources back to our base?

Would it be possible to research upgraded weapons for their variants, and apply those upgrades by have them build all subsequent generations with the improved weapons?
>>
Rolled 57

>>27462742
or some kind of mind control, really depends on how that "killing" works
>>
Rolled 19

>>27462724
I can't actually detect them unless they don't mind being found...

>>27462732
They have a high upkeep cost Irewin can do what he can.

>>27462741
Not likely ghouls have a hard time with augmentation and mutation due to their massively enhanced base stats. Only other penalties for them include fertility(even worse then mutants and only certain types have even the remote possibility) and the hunger issue to stave off degeneration.

>>27462742
They can choose to deactivate that if they so chose. Its just they usually don't especially if you look them in the eye.

>>27462773
Possible but your gonna need a new variant plus they wont be able to reproduce as easily.

>>27462766
I do not know of what you speak with the ghoul user. As for the above ferals still have to be fed cause eventually degeneration will start to attack what remains of their body and even mind. Not enough to kill granted just its not good. Also none of them are actually feral...yet.

Rolled 14

>>27462827
i was talking about this>>27461411
or was that sarcasm? cheeky devil

will Richard throw another hissyfit if we ask him see about including ghouls into the hivemind? i just want the heros to keep them a bit more loyal and trade information easier
>>
Rolled 79

>>27462827
so theyre perfect for spy missions once we fix theyre appearence

protip: we need to give these guys the ability to shift between many different looks. ie: human, mutant, ghoul, and change the features of how they look aswell

and i wont ask about how that killing through looking works, not gonna put you in a bad spot for using rule of cool
>>
Rolled 93

>>27462894
They can already do all that.
>>
Rolled 99

>>27462859
i think richards getting pissed because we keep asking him questions about things outside his field of expertiece(fuck spelling)
>>
Rolled 63

>>27462920
but doesnt he specialize in things that are impossible?

>>27462913
you really should tell us these things. we need to send out a wave of spies pronto
>>
Rolled 31

>>27462963
You just never thought about how their mutations interacted with each other. Things can stack and even interact.

>>27462963
Richard needs a knowledge base first you are requesting him to do things he has no clue about. That is what gets to him.
>>
Rolled 1

>>27462997
hmm, i probably have a bunch more questions somewhere but im tired as fuck. cya tommorow EDE. goodnight and great quest
