You are Mirror Blade, a clone of Cure Blade. You taken the name Masako Ishikuno for now and you are currently being dragged by your younger sister, which looks like a kid right about to enter an arcade or a candy store, towards the school. Of course it had to be the school, a western castle in Japan was weird enough.

Its dark out and there isn't anyone out on the streets as your sister skips ahead of you urging you forward, "Come on sister, we have to hurry before anyone notices what we're about to do!" She says before grabbing your hand and dragging you to the castle. "Why are you dragging your feet? You should feel absolutely ecstatic, after we're done here we can live in comfort for the rest of our lives after dad takes over this planet." She really does sound confused, maybe Father did something to Misa's crystal, the doctor couldn't have done it, you were watching him the whole time.

Both of you arrive at the school gates, they're closed but they really can't stop either of you from going in if you really wanted to. She looks at the old stone wall with a huge grin on her face. "It isn't much longer now, we just need to to get past a barrier somewhere in a large room in the basement."

As she gets ready to jump you:
[]Stop her, tell her now isn't the time.
[]Attack her.
[]Use logic to try to make her change her mind.

>"Why are you dragging your feet? You should feel absolutely ecstatic, after we're done here we can live in comfort for the rest of our lives after dad takes over this planet."

Spoken like a naive fool hopped up on evil brainwashing energy

[x]Give her the pendant, tell her it's a gift, let her wear it for a bit to burn off that evil angry brainwashing energy.

And even if she refuses:

[x]Use logic to try to make her change her mind.

"Hey Sis, do you think your loving father would fill us with evil energy, put us in a world we know nothing about, and pit us against two hardened warriors, who have killed before, you know? Does this sound like a loving father or a dictator who is commanding pawns to take over worlds for his ruling?"

We never really discussed the obvious part of it with her: If he was truly a loving father who was going to let us sit around and live our lazy lives, he wouldn't be trying to take over a world he has nothing to do with. And our futures lay in taking over world after world with no end in sight.

We need to nudge her, put the seeds of doubt in her head that maybe ending the war isn't in her best interest and our lives are better now with a stalemate.

[x]Follow her

She jumps over the stone wall with some effort on her part and you follow closely behind, changing into your battle clothes mid-air. For one, you'd love to see the place the cures and Lubu have been hiding from you and this is the perfect chance to do it...though you'd rather do it by yourself without having to sneak around at night, last time you screwed up bigtime.

The armor parts on your clothes and on Mirror Axe's heavy boots make a lot of noise when you land on a patch of grass, thankfully the guards are too far away to hear it and you follow your sister towards the main building and you find the main doors to be unlocked. You recall from your inherited memories that they don't usually worry about thieves around this parts and the areas for the the archaeologists work are underground, right where Cure Axe seems to be heading. She is quiet for the time it takes you to reach...wherever she is going. She stops on the inside of a large, circular room with a diminutive pedestal in the middle doors that were seemingly made really small people leading outside. "Alright, we're here, we just need to close the door, breach the barrier and destroy the seal to end all this. After we go though we go through a long hallway and get to a really big room that kind of looks like this one. Oh and mascot bear lives on the other side, any questions?"

[]"On second thought, should we really be doing this?"
[]"So, no defenses?"
[]"Lets do this."
>>

[]"So, no defenses?"

I like it. It takes advantage of our inherent paranoia, which little sister has only seen us apply to Dad, and applies it equally to the people she sees as enemies. Which we could stand to do a little more often, perhaps. But more importantly, it gives her a reason to think that we might just be right.
>>
>>27371625
Yeah I'm thinking I should vote for

>[x] "On second thought, should we really be doing this?"

Because it seems like we're not just questioning dad's motives for bringing us here, but the Cure's motives for knowing about a secret place that could ruin all of their plans.

I think even Lubu knows that he's dealing with easily manipulated children.
>>
>>27371625
Also mention our "plan" to backstab the cures after they have gotten us an alternative power source so we can just double it up with dad's magic and out power them... just don't mention that the backstabbing is going to be on dad.

At least that's the best excuse I can come up with if anyone ever asks.

[x] Lubu isn't an idiot, he's not like the cures, Let's get the hell out of here!
>>
[]"So no defenses?"
[]"On second thought, should we really be doing this?"

"So no defenses at all?" You ask, "It just seems suspicious that Lubu, who is so careful, would just let anyone inside that place if it had no defenses. Maybe he hid things from Misa." You're being careful because you also don't want to get killed by whatever things are on the other side, or if twill suck you dry of magic which you need to live and all sorts of nasty things. "Doesn't seem a bit too easy?" You finish and she puts her hand to her chin, much in the same way Misa does when she thinks. "She is smart enough to figure out a lot of things, she would have noticed something important, this takes us directly to a really big room with a crystal on the pedestal in the middle. She could even go up and touch it." She finally states, sounding arrogant for a moment..

"On second thought, should we be really doing this?" You ask her, your doubt seems to irritate her but you continue regardless, "Don't you think its weird that our Father would send both of us to fight girls that can be considered as warriors just as we were born? Besides, this goes against me getting an alternate source of magic for my body so I can get the cures with both dad's and that extra one."

She narrows her eyes a bit and thinks some more, "While I appreciate your dedication towards long term goals, you seem to have changed some after you first met Her. So I'm going to put it this way. Their defenses are weakened, the cures are off somewhere else and don't know we're coming. The time to strike is now dear sister, even if they have defenses both of us will strike them down." She reaches her hand out to you and finishes off with, "Regardless if there's a trap or not, I'm going because it the best tactic. So I might die alone if you don't follow."

[x]Take her hand, if you two are together you might not die.
You take her hand and she pulls you closer so you're standing side by side facing a wall, "I'm just letting you know that this might be the stupidest thing you have done and will probably stay that way a long time from now. Heading into an obvious trap." You mumble out but she just smiles and says in the most sing-song voice you've her or Misa use, "You're adorably easy to manipulate~" She pats your shoulder and puts her hand flat against one wall as she recites from memory, "With a heart filled with love and justice I wish to pass." The wall glimmers as if it was made from water and steps through it dragging you with her. When you pass you are greeted by the quickly approaching very white marble plated ground.

"Geez this isn't supposed to work this way!" You hear your little sister complain...you need to give her a name sometime, "Huh, where are we? This isn't the seal room." You can see that it isn't when you look up you see intricate walls made out...marble? Either that or a very white material. Every single surface is with either runes of some kind or drawings. A small doorway that might lead to the seal room, She looks around and gulps, "The carvings are all wrong and...These statues aren't supposed to be here." Indeed there are two statues, about five times as tall as you are. They seem to represent a pair of knights, their weapons long gone and clad in full plate armor, one glowing green, the other orange. They stand on a pedestal and their heads are fixed on you two, they don't move.

[x]Calmly stroll through the room.
Your sister is on edge, waiting for any excuse to take her weapon out, the statues aren't moving right now, they don't seem aggressive, they are staring at you. You put your hand on your sister's shoulder and tell her, "Told you so, follow my lead I've got a hunch on how to get past this.". With that you begin walking as calmly as you can, ready to dodge out of any attack they may initiate. When you get closer to the statues you see that they are standing on a pedestal each. There are two other pedestals, the first one has a stone sword stuck halfway into the ground, the other has a stone axe slammed into it, both sculptures look sharp enough to kill someone. Their gaze follows both of you as you walk in between them and their shimmers and disappears, a faint trail of light goes to where you came from, erecting a stone wall between the two of you and where you came in.

The statues aren't moving anymore and walk into the (surprisingly) trap-free hallway. However, you feel the air getting heavier the further you go. Mirror Axe seems to be doing much worse than you. You can feel it isn't the air itself but something else, magic maybe? You keep walking and come across an ornate door with carvings of knights fighting dragons and open it.

When you open the door and peek beyond...the room...well, when your sister described the size of the seal room she didn't really make it justice. Its at least 100 times the size of the room you were in and filled with the same ornate walls and ceiling of the rest of the place. There is a gigantic magic circle made out of what seems to be pure light drawn throughout the chamber, and at the center of it is a small pedestal with a crystal that looks familiar from somewhere.

The pressure you felt, its definitely this, magic and a whole lot of it.

>Okay why the hell are people actually helping her? Dad's going to kill us all as soon as he's out.

Because we don't think she's actually going to succeed. That's why we're here.

If we didn't go, like what we mentioned earlier, she would have walked into this blind and would probably be dead by now. Now we need to focus on getting out alive, seal be damned.

>Well, there was also that dream we had where the Cures sided with Dad

I'm reasonably sure, thinking back on it, that was MOMOKO'S nightmare that we 'inherited' from her. not ours. That may have been a nightmare she had been having for a long time where four seemingly mirror cures tear her to bits.

I wish I had thought about the fact that we were having her nightmares when we first had it, or we wouldn't have had to punch Misa in the face.
>>
>>27373937
This entire situation is really dark when you think about it fortunately Momoko hasn't taken enough time to think about anything
>>
>>27373875
>Brainwashed because of the evil energy

I'm thinking more along the lines that the brainwashing is hard-wired rather than because of the energy. It would be a dick move in that we get the sister we want... only to find out she may as well be a robot. In other words just like something dad would do.

Evil energy method is possible though. Just... he already knows we have a way to suppress evil energy if he's been keeping an eye on us through our link to him so... it seems unlikely he's go with anything we could suppress like that so easily.

[x] Check up on sis.

You're having a hard time breathing, all this pure magic, something completely against your father's powers. You have his energy, your sister has much more of it. Your way out is shut off by a large stone wall and this might. You look back at your sister who is leaning against the door frame. Its so much harder for her to deal with this? Is the seal pushing her back harder because she's stronger than you? Whateve it it you go by her side, "This thing is pushing us away. Are you okay? " You ask trying to help her get up, "Lets go back to the room with the statues. "We're so close..." She wheezes out and tries to push you away, "I just need...push back somehow." She closes her eyes and you feel a pulse of dark energy come out of her, followed by a breath, then another until she is working normally.

"Impressive." You hear someone say from above you, sitting on the door frame is that cute secret-hiding bear. "But you won't last long even with that." He doesn't sound pressured at all, angry maybe slightly amused, "You won't make it to the seal's power core."

He then turns at you, "I didn't expect you to not stop that girl from being made, Masako." You feel a weak pulse of energy go through your body, it doesn't affect your breathing or anything else, "With all that talk of getting rid of your connection with your father." He glares at you and your sisters turns back looking shocked.

Oh god, what an asshole.

Lubu is undeniably an asshole, but at the end of the day, Misa lost her shard because she wasn't strong enough to protect it.

It's not Lubu's job to protect the things that Misa cares about. It's Misa's.

And right now that seal is killing our sister. *Our* duty seems clear.

It's why I think our response should make it clear that we care more about our sister than we do about this stupid war.

[x]Defuse the situation with your sister.

That cute little bastard is messing with you, trying to get your sister against you. Mirror Axe is looking through the memories she has of you as seen from Misa's perspective if the look of utter disgust on her face is any indication. She brandishes her weapon and turns towards you, "You were born on the same day you met the precures and have lived in this world ever since. You have lived, eaten, and laughed in this world. You lived most of your life with Cure Blade and Her. If you wanted to take get rid of either of them you could have."

Lubu chimes in from above, "By the way girls, this place is the best place if you want to leave your father's control for good."

You don't give the bear any indication you've heard him because you're focusing on that really sharp axe pointed towards you. In moment of distraction, you look towards the center of the room. Its far away, but it definitely he crystal from the nightmare where you got chopped to pieces.
"Your plan might be long term, sister, but you had plenty of chances where She let her guard down around you." her hand shakes a bit but she fixes it by tightening her grip on the axe. "Even though...I wouldn't exist if you..." She wavers a bit but her weapon is still pointed at you.

You:
[]Tell her you want to keep living in this world
[]Tell her your father doesn't appreciate you for what you are.
[]Tell her you wish father to succeed but his methods are stupid.
[]Tell her the truth about your intentions.
[]Isn't there another way out of this?

[x] Mix of sappy 'we do our own stuff' speech

You take a deep breath, even though both of you are bound to die you feel calm, Lubu didn't need the precure to finish you two off and you sure as hell you don't feel afraid of that axe.

"Listen sister. Ever since I was born I was treated as a tool. Mostly from fathers side but that bear up there, I was sent to take Misa's memory crystal so I tried taking it in the middle of the night and got badmouthed for doing it that way even if I got asked to do it. All I ever wanted almost since the first day I came to this world was to have someone to relate to, a kindred spirit of sorts since almost everyone else seemed to benefit with us dead or discarded. Father wouldn't care for us once he go what he wanted, he would have a whole new world to conquer and once he had that what would we do? In the end I thought I had only had myself. Then you were born and I knew I had to take you away from father as soon as possible, I would never betray somebody I wanted to exist, so in the end all we have is each other."

You finish saying this, your words unwavering and close your eyes to wait for the inevitable blow from your sister. What you just said was betrayal to Father so she might cut your head off if you're lucky. Instead you feel yourself get tackled and knocked to the floor. Above you is your sister straddling your stomach crying her eyes out. "I'm sorry...I really want to kill you but I don't want to at the same time. I also want to destroy that thing even if it means I won't have fun again that way with you again...you'd hate me wouldn't you?" Are her last words before she turns into a sobbing mess crying on your shoulder.

You see Lubu up there on the doorframe looking guilty as hell. You're not sure how bears look when they feel guilty but this must be it.

"You two aren't making it easy." He says right before the pressure eases up some, its still hard to breathe but not as much as before.
>>
>>27375723

"Like I said, I might have a way...but it will change you." and he jumps down, "What the seal is doing is automatic and I won't be able to hold it back for long. The reserve precures are on their way too, they won't be good to you at all."

There's a reasonable chance that accepting the cleanse will alter our personality, set us on a new resource system that we know nothing about with an empty mana pool, and give us a severe case of the dry heaves.

At which point Cure Fist and Cure Dragon Dildo will show up and attack us anyway.

I'm still leaning towards doing it for largely emotional reasons.

So you want us to rely on the bear who was just about to sit there and watch us die in place of the father we have refused to interact with whatsoever? I'm not saying that we should stay dependent, but I'm fine with our inherent goal of killing Cure Blade, particularly if the alternative is brainwashing, honestly.
>>
>>27376181
It's likely still better than the current resource system which has us constantly stuck with a tiny mana pool and also alters our personality.
>>
>>27376237
Let me propose a question

It's clear that Cure Blade and Axe are just bystanders, mere pieces in Lubu's big game. Hence his need for more soldiers.

So why are we directing ire at any of them? Our goal should be freeing ourselves, not fighting the other poor suckers who happen to be caught in the middle of all this.

things right now are horrible, but I'm pretty sure we can get by with anger as our power source.

Unfortunately we've been manipulated right into the middle of someone else's war in a position to strike a very dangeous blow with no knowledge or understanding.

[] yes, we are His Dark Sword
[] no, we live for ourselves

(apologies to Kintolesky, obviously this is NOT a canon quest choice ;) )
>>
>>27376767
But I agree with you, we just made a big speech about how we want to live in harmony with our Sister. Are we his sword?

I think our speech should be a resounding "No", especially if it means our sister is in danger. And she most certainly is if we go for the seal and it doesn't go the way we expected.

>>
>>27376491
No, he is defending the seal, he has some control over its defense systems but everything else is automatic.

>>27376497
Here's the deal with the deal. You will be changed into seal guardians which basically means you will get teleported to the seal room and [REDACTED] when either comes into attack. Your powers are pretty much unchanged and you will still stop receiving energy once you leave town. Same range as our dad's influence. Mental changes are partly emotional but be mostly compelled to defend the seal no matter what you are doing, you also will tend to be a better person, with regards to Momoko you will have to find out.. You get to keep your rad black and pink costume.

>>27376506
You know how end of season precure fights are? Similar to smile's but with a more threatening [REDACTED].

>>27376531
Lubu is giving you a chance to do whatever, he doesn't really like you leaving but won't stop you the problem is...
>>27376547
Cure Spear (orange) and Cure Shield (Green). With the energy signature you're giving out they will attack you on sight. They got shown what happened to Lubu's world and what could happen to earth and unlike him, they havent had a Loooong time to deal with it. Lubu was around when the castle was built, remember?

Good questions, right here

Does taking the deal preclude us from following up on any other power sources we find later on that would let us leave the whole debacle behind, or would we basically be stuck with it.

What happens to us after this whole good vs evil war finishes if we take the deal? Are we free to go or still shackled to the town to defend the crystal?

I think we're going to need a few days, maybe a whole new THREAD just to think about this

>>
I don't think anyone's considered what our sister wants

This is as much her decision as it is ours. We can't make it for her.
>>
>>27376951
Well, your father's influence has about the same range as the seal's energy feeding. So it depends on what you want, playing middleman won't be easy from now on on either path
>>
the two choices we're all split by are run or join.

I'm cool with voting right here and now or waiting for another thread to give Kintol time to prepare.

I'm cool with either choice too
>>
>>27377038
Now are you forcing us to choose because of a writing decision or because otherwise, nothing would happen and we would just be neutral forever?
>>
There's no final victory condition in defending something. If we deal with our father, we'll probably just sit around for all eternity, tethered to this thing.

We have plenty of freedom now, and if we get out of this building we can run back to our dimension, be completely safe, and learn more about what's actually going on. Hell, if our father's range of power expands, we can probably expand our range that way, and we might eventually find something else. This deal will keep us in the same place, forever. With our father, anything can happen.

I'm against this.
>>
>>27377029
Yeah I'm worried if we accept, our sis will decide she doesn't want to

And then what? We can't force her to. And if we abandon her the other cures will eat her alive.

We have to stick with Sis. It's as much her decision as it is ours.
>>
>>27377044
I think a new thread is required to discuss the pros/cons of this in an organized manner. Because if we vote now there's going to be that proportion that wasn't involved or didn't like how we merely discussed it after one simple discussion period.
>>
>>27377075
This is a time sensitive issue: As soon as the reserves show up, it's over.
>>
>>27377075
It's a bit unreasonable for people to get angry that we only had one lengthy discussion about it.
>>
>>27377029
This, get points with sis. A tactical retreat to the door back would be ideal. Perhaps we can engage shield and spear with a quick way to escape. Hopefully by then little sister will be in better shape.
>>
>>27377060
I think that's the entire trap Kinto is planning

Sis has no reason to say "yes" right now. as far as she's concerned this bear bastard just tried to kill both of us. While daddy still is shining platinum gold in her eyes.

What reason does she have to say "yes"?

furthermore, what reason does running now mean that we can't accept later?
>>
>>27377087
that's why I'm saying maybe a few days to plan and talk about it in a new thread is required.

Absolutely, which is why I'm against it.

Neutral party means no betrayal. It means we're against the entire concept of the war. Becoming Lubu's chamber guardian seems like a permanent job. Permanent in a "Have fun being immortally chained to this rock" kind of way.

I think this decision is one Kinto will have to break for us. Because I don't think that becoming a seal guardian is in our best interest. However I do know that this was exactly what we wanted from thread 1, an easy way out that resulted in us becoming our own person.

Our entire motivations contradict this decision, though, so I am really hard pressed to see why people want to accept it. We want to be free, and we want to be out of the war, and we want to hurt the original. So we're going to get tied down to one spot, and then forced to defend it, by her side.
>>
>>27377835
Actually im OK with flipping a coin.

Fate and destiny and all that.

You're right, I'm not disagreeing, I'm with you here, I think this is a last-minute deal Lubu is giving us because he's

A) Scared of us at the moment

and

B) He wants us out of sight, out of mind. He wants to think about things that are not us

Because really, if he could have done this all along he would have offered it to us way back when we first met him. But he didn't. He's only doing it now because we're really close to ruining everything he has.

Kinto, answers on this since we're working with OOC knowledge?
>>
>>27377873
Less than if we break the seal.
>>
>>27377910
Exactly, which is why he's offering it to us, he didn't think we were worth it before we stormed his little hide-out

Does THAT sound like the actions of someone who will put our best interest in mind? Or does it sound like a cartoon villain offering riches and fortune if you spare his evil fortress?
>>
>>27377918
Neither of them are black and white cartoon villains.

Actually, yes they are, but OP doesn't have to play them like that.

They obviously want to look out for their own sides. That's fair and perfectly reasonable, to the point where even black and white cartoon villains do that, exclusively do that in fact. We're out for our side, and it is rather unfair to expect Lubu to cater to all our wants when he has his own needs and we stand to ruin everything for him.

Comes back to strength.

We can take what we desire.

The problem is that this isnt what we want. We dont particuarly want to destroy the seal. And while Lubus deal is so _almost_ what we want its tempting.., but the strings attached...

If it was just just us, maybe. But it seems incredibly cruel to make Mirror Axe accept that within hours of being born.
>>
Okay it's 5 am EST and I think Kinto has long gone to bed by now. As I'm about to.

And the thread is going to autosage soon.

I don't think we're making a decision this thread.

Okay, I don't think we'll solve this in-character, so let's talk Meta

It's clear Kinto wants to write us into the story. Mostly we've been evading the story by standing neutral. We can't evade it forever and still have interesting stuff to do. There's a war going on and we're as far removed for it as any person can get at the moment even though we should be front and center.

Guys, do you really want to be neutral observers forever? You know, fighting in a war might be kind of fun and we've pretty much always been helping the cures anyway, would anything really change? We're practically good guys already, we just keep telling ourselves that we're biding our time.

But why are we biding our time if the battle that matters is going to just fly on by while we watch it and do nothing? Do we have a plan for what our goals are after this whole war ends and the threads have to draw to a close? Do the credits just roll and at the end we see

"And thanks for doing nothing: Masako Ishikuno"

Because that's where we're going. We're on the fast track to just being as detached from the story as any character can get while still being relevant. Fucking around is fun but we have to have closure somewhere.

Has anyone considered that? Where the thread is even headed if we just intend to fuck around forever?
>>
>>27378260
I don't think there's enough in character justification for taking the deal at this point. We can take a more active role even if we pass it up.
>>
>>27378260

.....fuck you're right. Kinto's been pretty chill. We should throw the good good dog a bone

sorry I'm incapable of being evil Kinto, I just can't bring myself to.

Never could do Darkside runs of KOTOR
>>
I'm a new person to this fucking thread. Let me add my vote, like I did in the general.

>Join the good guys. Kick evil's ass with its own tools. Mack on whatever passes for Tuxedo Kamen in your thread. Done.
>>
>>27378260
I want this in the archive because this is the best response the thread has had so far.
>>
>>27378275
Was there any character justification for not taking the deal and just bolting? We're practically diet precures now.

>>27378280
>We should throw the good good dog a bone

This is really what I say, it'll sting and we'll lose our wonderful bitch Masako, but if we just wander around we'll never get a good conflict or story.
>>
>>27378260
>We can't evade it forever and still have interesting stuff to do.
on the contrary, it's not hard at all. Staying neutral effectively doubles the number of possibilities for story angles.

Being neutral doesn't prevent both sides from trying to find ways to use us as a missile at the other side.
>>
>>27378293
Plenty. We want to be free, and if we take the deal we'll be stuck to the seal. We want to avoid the war, and if we take the deal we'll be forced to fight. We want to hurt the original - even crippled as we are, we want nothing more than to see her suffer, and we even said such to her face in relatively polite conversation, and if we take the deal we have to fight with her. Our imouto was just born, and it isn't fair to force her into the deal before she can adjust to actually being alive. On the contrary, what in character justification do we have for taking the deal other than our paranoia regarding daddy, which should apply to Lubu in equal measure.
>>
>>27378293
>if we just wander around we'll never get a good conflict or story.
I can't believe you idiots are ignoring the fact that we've basically just given ourselves a giant glowing weak spot in the form of Mirror Axe.

That alone should be more than enough for Kintolesky to work with.
>>
>>27378314
Speaking of, she could really use an actual, y'know, name.
>>
>>27378304
Fuck that. I'm a bystander in my own life. I don't need it here.
>>
>>27378306
Because this may be our only chance to escape him with something long-term and we already know that we don't *truly* hate Momoko. The hate is mostly our evil energy talking for us because we clearly shopped with her and was just fine.

We don't *have* a good justification to go with it or anything else, but this is one of the few hooks we may ever get to pick a side and stick with it.

>>27378314
That's great if you want a conflict that never ends, but think about Kinto, he probably wrote a huge campaign revolving around this war. If we're not front and center then what's the point of having it if the worst we have to fear is it tangling our little sister up in it? That's like light-skirmish territory.
>>
>>27378281
So, generic JUSTICE faggotry. I would take a thousand butt trolls over one of you faggots.
>>
>>27378324
We're not a bystander. We've got a goal.

It just isn't the same as the one for which Team Bad made us, or the one that Team Cure would like to use us for.
>>
Kinto is away sleeping/plotting what to do.

we should do the same.

also, Kinto is awesome. we totally ignored the hook ages ago and he still ran with it. respect + just for that alone
>>
>>27378339
Sounds dull.
>>
>>27378345
I agree, Kinto has been a real great QM the whole way through

He could have railroaded us, he could have forced our hand. But he didn't, and doesn't even now. I really hope after this he runs more quests in the future because more QMs could learn quite a bit from him.

I'm off to bed everyone, I suggest you do the same because Kinto will probably have a lot to talk about with us next thread.
>>
>>27378333

>>27378335
Deal with it, you buzzword spouting faggot.
>>
>>27378333
Nothing he has done - at all - shows us that we really need to escape him. Like I said, any paranoia is just as applicable to Lubu at this point. We're taking more of a risk by taking the deal than we are by sticking with dad. Be more pro-active, that's fine, but give a solid reason to take the deal if you're going to vote for it. The only one we actually have out of character is that /tg/ has been reluctant to play the "bad guy" team.

We have two choices if we don't make it here, Bad guys or neutral outer-haven plan. We'll essentially sever the social links we've made.

Are we really ready to become Punished cure?
>>
>>27378388
Yes, I am just fine skipping the Good Guy route, or at least putting it on hold. Are you really going to compromise the character's integrity to play Kamen Rider again?
>>
>>27378379
Probably stuck in a hospital room.
>>
>>27378386
Except we're still potentially very useful. All they have to do is find a way to appropriately motivate us and we're quite possibly a very useful and eminently disposable distraction
>>
>>27378395
Why not? At least there was a lead up this time.
>>
>>27378362

>>
okay, I'm off to bed, best of luck everyone
>>
>>27378403
Sounds like more trouble than it is worth. Why would I waste time maybe courting a frenemy when I could focus my attention on someone who will actually get shit done?
>>
>>27378408
He won this encounter, completely, so he's giving us a choice to quit working for his enemy and work for him instead. He's not killing us now because we've turned into a potential resource, due to having lost utterly.
>>
>>27378362
How can we be paranoid? Aren't we already not paste?
>>
>>27378421
There's no ulterior motives here. It's pretty honest. Join up or else. It's not like he's promising one thing but secretly doing something else.
>>
>>27378418
>Sounds like more trouble than it is worth.
Welcome to villiany 101, /tg/
>>
>>27378456
I wouldn't hedge my bets on everyone wanting to cater to us.
>>
>>27378440
Neither is dad. All of his minions and allies seem to be impressing that he actually has a lot of faith in us, in fact, and we haven't spoken to him to actually have reason to doubt him. And "join up or else" is a lot worse than "i bet there's an or else".
>>
>>27378463
Geez, you're hopeless /tg/

All they need to do is threaten Mirror Axe and we're fucked
>>
>>27378464
Well, we DID lose. I don't see anything wrong with pitching in with the guys who have shown that they have our number.

Besides, joining a gang of delinquents is normal for rebellious youth.
>>
>>27378482
We knew we were going to lose. It was an obvious trap and we're crippled. I mean I know a lot of /tg/ loves to play Justice Man, but there has got to be a better Quest for that, especially when you've acknowledged that it is against this one's character. Besides, it would even ruin the name.
>>
>>27378362
I don't think we're taking any risk here. We pretty much know exactly what we're getting into at this point. What is the absolute worst that could possibly happen?
>>
>>27378496
So what are we gonna do? Pull off a miraculous escape and hope that we don't get our asses kicked again? Please. We're just looking out for ourselves here.
>>
>>27378511
Our asses have already been kicked, and signing up goes against everything we are. We still have the ability to run away, don't say that we have to take the quest in a completely different direction than it's developing because the option seems less likely to succeed.
>>
What if we join up begrudingly?

like we're justice slaves? and the "good behavior" is like some psychic shock collar or mental v chip that forces us to be nice?
>>
>>27378536
Man, I almost thought you were serious there.
>>
>>27378527
I really don't think we'll get far, and if we do get away, I think this experience will have some seriously threatening long term consequences.

So, yeah, I'm gonna do the Evil thing and take the easy way out.
>>
>>27378552
You're going to let yourself be chained down, brainwashed, and forced to fight for a cause you don't believe in, because it's a bit easier? I think I just might kill myself here; you certainly seem to be in favor of the notion.
>>
>>27378564
Evil is kinda like that. The Dark Side is quicker, easier. This sounds pretty quick and easy.
>>
>>27378598
No, this sounds emphatically like suicide. And murder for that matter, because you're dragging Mirror Axe into it. This isn't quick or easy; this is you trying to completely derail the quest.
>>
>>27378609
>Join this guy
>Save my ass with no further effort
Sounds pretty easy.

>Refuse
>Must pull off a daring escape while having the wind knocked out of me with somebody else in tow
Sounds pretty hard.

I'm supposed to be evil. I think I'll do what's fast, easy, and in my own best interest. Generally with little regard to the overarching moral implications.
>>
>>27378598
>implying that being made into a Seal Guardian is going to be either quick or easy.
Hell, Lubu basically warned us it's going to be neither.
>>
>>27378627
Easier than the alternative.
>>
>>27378621
Actually, if you want to do the evil thing, that would be to destroy the Seal.
>>
>>27378621
We have been, more than anything, about freedom. Doing what we want, when we want, because we want to. Literally the first thing we did is rob a liquor store and find some munchies. You're trying to pervert the entire situation because you've run out of actual arguments, and expecting that parroting it enough times will browbeat everyone else in line.
>>
>>27378634
No, that would be the stalwart thing to do.
>>
>>27378645
I'd go with "spiteful" rather than stalwart. We don't particuarly want Dad freed, but it would fucking ruin Lubu's day
>>
>>27378636
Despite claims to the contrary, I lack the capability to force anons to do anything. I, however, can post about what I think. I think that it's in our best interest to take the deal.
>>
>>27378670
it's in our interest. But it's not in our BEST interest. And it's certainly not in Mirror Blades.
>>
>>27378670
Can you give me a single reason that doesn't involve playing Kamen Rider or your half-assed argument about it being the "evil" thing to do. And for that matter, even if it was, this isn't really an Evil quest, because /tg/ falls flat on its face at every single mention of it and can't roleplay that for shit. Our alignment is straight fucking Chaotic Chaotic Bald Eagle as a result, so no, taking a deal is in our worst interests.
>>
>>27378664
Beyond it being a tremendous effort for little payoff, I also don't think it would actually work.
>>
>>27378694
Oh no, you've issued me an ultimatum and declared terms favorable to you in your argument. I shall surely play by your rules.

Oh wait. I won't. You need to calm the fuck down. It sounds like you're upset about more than this quest.
>>
>>27378705
I'm upset about you. You're pissing me the fuck off by being stupid.
>>
>>27378687
I think one's best interests are also the most feasible interests.
>>
>>27378695
It's not my preferred course of action, but I'm pretty sure that if we pull out Pantsu-Flamberge, and hit it with everything we've got, not in the name of selfish anger but with the intent of saving Mirror Axe we could break it. It's designed to seal away evil - not ward off blows from someone with a pure motive.

And that's why Lubu's afraid.

Whether we'd survive the attempt is a lot more touch and go.
>>
>>27378714
You need to calm down, son. Take a deep breath. Watch some of those mind-numbing programs about small animals.

Feelin' better?

Alright, good. We should take the offer.
>>
>>27378739
You still haven't presented a single decent argument in favor of it.
>>
>>27378738
I think you're giving is a fuckload more credit than is due. I mean, shit, look where we ended up in the first place.

>>27378741
Oh yeah, I forgot I was in debate club. Here, let me go fish out my index cards and reexplain my thesis.

I think we should take the offer because it's going to save our ass for sure. Also something about Obamacare and the economy.
>>
>>27378754
Running away could save our ass. Taking the deal is going to fuck us and is completely out of line with the character.
>>
>>27378754
>look where we ended up in the first place.
You mean right in front of the Seal used to keep Dad locked away with enough strength to break it with no Precures close enough to stop us?
>>
>>27378773
And we did come here explicitly so that we could pull her out if she started dying on us, and OP confirmed we can push our way out of here, so there's that even if we didn't want to.
>>
>>27378757
The operative word there being "could". We could metagame this shit and say "Of course we won't get our shit kicked in, we're the main character", but that's just being arrogant.

Maybe we doin' some character growth? Gotta give up a little freedom to live? Or maybe we're just looking out for ourselves? It's a good deal, since we're in checkmate three different ways right now.

>>27378773
It was a trap, yo, and we walked right into it.
>>
>>27378796
>Gotta give up a little freedom to live?
We've made several options so far that could have screwed us in the name of freedom. Why would we go the other way now?

>Or maybe we're just looking out for ourselves?
We're looking out for us AND Mirror Axe. We just said as much.
>>
>>27378793
Yeah, we're gonna push our way out into a fight we'll probably lose. Sounds great.

I'm sticking with taking the deal. Looks like the most reliable choice.
>>
>>27378812
The fight's coming at us. It's gonna take some finagling not to get our ass beat even if we do take the deal.
>>
>>27378811
We take the deal because someone we give a fuck about is also in the same situation. Gotta take charge and make some sacrifices to make sure we both see tomorrow in one piece.

>>27378821
I have no doubt that surrendering here will shield us from that.
>>
>>27378796
>It was a trap, yo, and we walked right into it.
We're here in this place now because Dad sent us here.
>>
>>27378834
Still a trap.
>>
>>27378833
That's not at all what the character would think. Please stop talking, you're going to give me an aneurism.

And we're on a tight time frame. They'd have to be informed that we had been switched, and they'll be more than able to get in some good blows before words can get across.

>>27378834
We're here now because we voluntarily choose to follow Mirror Axe, who went, again voluntarily. We went in knowing it was a trap, because we wanted to pull her out alive and free when it all went south.
>>
>>27378838
but is it Lubu's or Dads.
>>
>>27378845
We will be fine if we take the deal. Even if they take a swing or two, it'll get resolved very quickly and it'll be alright.

>>27378846
Obviously both. But taking the deal will remove at least one trapmaster from our lives.
>>
>>27378845
Wait, are you trying to say we'll be at more risk for taking sanctuary and switching sides? Are you high?
>>
>>27378873
So it's okay to take a few hits when we're sacrificing our important things, but not when we're running away with them?

And yes, it might cut one out. By enslaving us to the designs of the other.

You know what, fuck you, I'm going to bed.
>>
>>27378845
You're really acting like more is at stake here than the outcome of this decision. You really need to calm down.
>>
>>27378886
Don't treat it like slavery. Treat it like a responsibility. We're already pretty cool with that.
>>
>>27378886

You're assuming we're going to actually make a getaway at all and not just get torn to shreds en route. Big difference.

Honestly I think what we need to do is not take this deal find a way to keep getting evil juice but independent of dad

Just caught up to this thread after missing half of it and honestly I vote no for the offer ( bit late ) and we find our own power so we can beat both the cures and our dad and then live our life the way we want with however many sisters that fool makes for us
Our big issue hasn't been in wanting to be free but how we went about it, if we become proactive and start pushing more for our freedom instead of just sort of bumming evil juice from dad and occasionally helping the cures out so they don't purge us. Use the mad doc and find out if we can get our own power "so we aren't constantly a drain" use the little fuzzy bastard bear for knowledge and maybe the actual ability to switch our power source over but not to his good generator
>>
>>27379029

I bet doing butt things to our sister would get us plenty of evil juice

We've still got the ring. It's still a bit of mystery, but if we or Mirror Axe can figure out how to tap it, we have a lifeline battery.
