Last time in Hivemind forces Richard deleted all the PORN and Torg detonated an EXPLOSIVE that cured the Hivemind's mental cloud...only problem is however the majority of our forces found itself crippled. The one two punch was just way to much for our forces to handle. Luckily us however the Arch Brood King who was gonna be our end instead has promised to protect us while we recover.

Meanwhile Rasa has been trying to figure out crystals...by staring at them intently despite not having any eyes. While Richard while everyone was in a stupor made a get way when or even if he should ever return is unknown.

Prophet unfortunately was the hardest hit one of them all. The rest of our heroes have however recovered.

Clora'Zel is offering therapy for our forces. He influence is expanding.

Torg has been seen talking with the Arch Brood King about EXPLOSIONS and AWESOMENESS. Also for some reason they are debating whether Swords or axes are better. Torg is insisting SWORDS THAT SHOOT SWORDS is the most AWESOME of all. That was when Arch Brood King brought up axe bladed maces...the debate continues.

Alexis is on her trip...when the disaster struck her status is unknown user.

The new ghoul necrotic ghoul hero former Reaver and current Ravager Voss meanwhile has been using the bandits to step up patrols. So far his reports indicate that that monster activity is beginning to pick up big time. In a while it will be equivalent to All day every day monster mayhem...without actually being Monster Mayhem.

We'll need to escalate our anti monster tactics. And for that, we have the spiders. Webby's should start constructing more and more webs and actively work ensare monsters, jumpers begin to set up trapdoors, feelers craw about to lay mines and detect monsters. In every dead monster killed by a bandit, a Mother should enter and lay her eggs.

It won't fix all but that should help bring their numbers down and our spider numbers up.

Basic 1
>Voss and his bandtis assist spiders in monster cleansing and spider breeding where they can.

spiders are only good for lower tier monsters user. True deep marsh tier will destroy them.

Maybe they can use their chameleon skin and just blend in for a while until they're all better.

>>27369150
I don't think until the Strongarms wake up melee weapons will be of any use to the bandits.
For production we should just make more SST's.

Maybe we can construct a Super Spider Tank/Spider tank variety that launches shells filled with spider eggs directly inside a monster that slowly eats them from inside out. Or has giant versions of those web organs. A tank eats a monster, and then sprays a huge web.
>>
Rolled 66

Even in masses? Damn.
Well, at least we still have bandits and spider tnaks to deal with them. The spiders are just the cleanup crew and low tier control. Not a huge military force.

Production
> Automated defenses, build mounted plasma spewers on the perimeter of our base. build them in the factories, connect them to the defense system (EDE) and prepare them to be mounted on the walls once the big guy leaves (mounting them shouldnt take a turn)
it should help a lot with base defense

And shit if we found someone that can absorb radiation, we're in for a whole world of pain if we find a monster that can absorb and use plasma. And knowing the Deep Marsh, that's entirely possible.

But plasma has always been tried and true so far.

Farm production picked up again. We managed to figure out a way to mass produce fertilizer(not even bio-engineered) and got some basic aquatic farms set up as well. Plenty of water might as well start using it.

Tabula has set up the sensors this time and is staring at them intently. They seem to feed of something and that it does something to make it easier for non-node crystals to use...

Defenses have mass produced turrets especially plasma spewers. Problem is we are not a technical bandit faction yet so it will take another action to actually place them.

The Prophet is still out of it...big time. As it at least the other Memor are at least showing signs of improvement.

You are Alexis your forces were making go time in Zombielands when out of nowhere he could feel the shriek. Your forces were dazed at the worst time as a zombie horde was trudging through your position. The zombies seemed to look your way but for some reason paused. That was when you felt a strange psionic brushing of the minds which stated "Bob says hi". After that the zombies stopped staring at them and continued on with their journey. With a very confused Alexis staring. Now however she had to figure out something to do with her forces...they were sitting ducks out here. She did her best to entrench them and stay on the move. Worked out well you were headed to a ghoul base to recover when a shriek came out of nowhere...then the ground erupted from all around you spewed forth strange Spawn...which was crazy because they always seemed to avoid zombie turf. Even worse however at the head of which was titantic monstrousity...a Brood King. Yet for some reason despite being surrounded and the King clearly noticed the creatures seem to pause sniff...as if regonizing them before heading off. But not before the Brood King grabbing her hunters pad and placing them in a Spawn Hive. Where for some reason they were treated well and her forces recovered amazingly quickly. It wasn't long before her forces picked up and set out again.

Report.

East Marsh
Zombie Lands are crawling with zombies. Found out what zombies hives actually were. Turns out why there are so damn many of them is because the cloning faclities got infected. As for mutative qualities even a few labs got taken out and converted who are responsible for the strange zombie strains. We also discovered a number of Brood Spawn Hives. Most of them however disgorged their forces for some reason. Ghoul forces are slowly making head way but its slow going. Nuke dirty bombs are in limited supply.

Jungles and Mountains.

Beyond the Zombielands is jungle. Basically a survival of the fittest place gone wrong. Everything in that jungle is changing rapidly constantly. I have a feeling that unlike the swamp this place doesn't have anything holding it back for some reason.

Mountains to the East are covered in forest besides them hills which turn into plains that end at the ocean. Not a bad place largly empty except for tribals and a few bandit groups. Mountains on the other hand seemed to have been popular for military installations not any more it seemed largely empty and even outright abandoned. The coast is the only place with anything interesting there being a few city ruins up and down it. Up to the southern edge of the swamp anyway.

Southern swamp is where I found the Super Mutants and Cortana's forces. Apparently their trying to dig out Clora's sister or even find her at this point. What I found here was that a lot of the actual facilities for some reason were either underwater to begin to be with their fell into the ocean. Its all still there too...if you can get to it. A lot of tunnels are outright flooded and even more got wrecked with the whole thing with Warlord Duel Fists. Otherwise you have to go through the water...which is something that the Mobile Fortress is poorly equipped to handle. They are REALLY not happy about that.

This is also where I encountered that damn noble hunter again stating how lovely it was to see me again. Tried losing him...it didn't work. Apparently he got a lot better since I last seen him.
Note to self get more practice as being the hunted and not the hunter.

In any case while in the southern swamps I made contact with the other sister. She seemed caught off guard I managed to get so deep into her private sanctum..I regret doing that so very very much. All she wanted to talk about was about her sister. Amazingly her forces didn't really react to us thanks to receiving the Arch Brood kings blessing, Clora'Zel influence, and finally my own ability...I need to improve being forced to rely on so much is not good for me in the long run. Anyway thanks to that we were able to get close and make direct contact with her sister.

After that with her sisters guidance I made my way up into the deep swamp to try to shake off that blowhard of a gentleman hunter. It still didn't work. Goddamn. Next time he tries anything I am gonna pull the maidenly virtue card I swear. In any case deep swamp was insanely hostile as always. Must say we got real familiar the tunnel network down here. Which are terrible places only marginally better then the deep swamp. Unlike every where else its advised you stay underground. Monster wise I saw things that spew forth plasma, entire swarms of creatures, and fuckers as big as goddamn mountains I swear. In any case discovered that underground is an entire interlacing network of tunnels that can take you anywhere in the swamp into any facility. Problem is what lurks down there. They make monsters look like chumps. Considering you have to deal with still active security measures, rogue experiments, and worse. We did get a map of the military installations though. They were built in a network meant to separate and quarantine each of the research facilities from each other. Problem is they all got overwhelmed or abandoned if they were really fucking lucky when the last of their forces withdrew to the Mobile Fortress oh so long ago. wouldn't want to go there as considering if you thought the labs were bad...the military bases were the first targets/gathering points for multiple labs among worst.
>>

After that we headed to hill billy lands. We had a great deal of fun. We met gentlemen rednecks, amazing races, BOOM fishing, and HUNTING competitions directly into Deep Marsh. goddamn if I swear they're after my own heart. Their just so much FUN. In any case we managed to make some good headway. Even figured out that all the water in from the swamps come free. Gigantic water treatment installations are underground here. They were meant to supply the cities, production, and labs here. Problem is they sorta broke and water started leaking everywhere. Which is why the Marsh...is well so marshy. Otherwise we would of turned out like that Jungle though possibly a bit more stable and unchanging. In any case once we left(when the gentlemen hunter made the fatal mistake of drinking some of their moonshine thus couldn't keep up). We checked out the peninsula.

Peninsula is all marshy jungle with the occasional village/town. With pockets of old industry here and there. expect for the coastline. That place is covered in the wrecks of old cities. That is until you reach the tip of the peninsula itself...which is a giant half moonish figure. They literally dug out to create a FUCKING GIGANTIC military base and fleet construction center. The size of some of those wrecks...sheer insanity. I can say without a doubt in my mind that place could even churn out mobile bases easily. Fuck its big enough to even do Mobile Fortresses. In any case native whiles mostly tribals and a few mutant groups. Ruins wise we got a the usual. Only odd thing is that monstrosity of a base. No fucking idea what lurks in there. Only know its a haven for just about everything that can hold its ground there.

After that we took a off to the Northern City. Discovered there were several corporate holdouts. Even some old paramilitary groups to boot. Even got a hold of the 'Guard'. Apparently they are some sort of law enforcer group for some post apoc style law. They don't care for ruling just enforcing though..despite that they are in any case they're a monsterous powerhouse. All I got to say is I hope they don't find us as we would most certainly be on their shit list. Even more strangely their made up of a bunch of paramilitary style mutants. Recruitment wise anyone can join if you are willing to turn your back on humanity. Most of their forces tend to come from those they liberate from bandits. Otherwise its whoever else is willing to put aside their hatred enough for the sake of the Law. Otherwise when we were exploring the city beyond the usual tribal enclaves, corporate assholes, and bandit gangs. We discovered a new type of zombie...these ones didn't need anything to mutate. Truth be told we should of been in trouble if it wasn't for a strange guide who saved all our asses. Crazy fuck lives among the mutative zombies. All I got to say is these ones are MUCH more advanced then the ones in the swamp. Its almost as if somehow someway someone kept working on them. In any case beyond that there are two major cities. Who hate each other. One his Light Cin City. That is where we encountered GlowyJoe in a city that always glows. Apparently it is the primary base of operations for his forces it is quite new based in a section of the cleansed manufacturing/power district. It produces the Power and some manufacturing despite the excess waste. The other is commanded by another warlord in another city built in a dome of interlacing fallen Sky Scrapers in the business district. Its one hell of a fortress and so much more. Every else is the usual townships and bandit gang bases. Those are just the two main powerhouses.

After that we checked out the Wasteland.
>>
Rolled 10

>>27371647
That in and of it's own is also long term.
Our first major economy will be the reconquest of the mines and building roads to the base, perhaps purchasing rails if the caravans ever show up.
>>
Rolled 81

>>27371661
Wasteland is just that almost entirely all waste. We got literal lakes and rivers of god knows what. Old ruins surprisingly often well intact infested with mutants. Hellish environment that only mutants could survive. Humans who come here are all high tech and NEVER stay for long. Shit is just that hostile. Oceans of land entirely covered in craters. Literally flattened mountains otherwise you can see clear cut gigantic wounds in them. We even saw oceans of molted corrupted metal and plains full of biting monstrous insects. Boneyards entire filled to the brim with bone entire mountains of it really. Glassed zones as far as the eye could see... This is also where we encountered Richard. Way out in the crater ocean and busted mountains. He found him visiting with another scientific monstrosity apparently an old colleague of his who made the notes we got from that caravan. This one surprisingly enough was quite kind yet just as Richard is a Scientist this one is a Doctor. Suffice to say they REALLY don't get along all that well. So it was quite confusing that they were talking. Apparently they were swapping notes and discoveries despite their loathing of each other. They were willing to put that aside as they were both well aware of how good each of them was. Unfortunately Richard isn't planning to come back soon unless we can figure out how to ensure his ability to continue his work not including the usual problems. Apparently I managed to get him to admit that he was seeking out EVE. He is tired of biotech and considering what happened he supposes a nice break is in order. Problem is a lot has changed so he is uncertain of where EVE's facility is exactly now.

After that we returned.

Slaves got bought already. Even the fodder ones. Learned something valuable ghouls are not picky at all. Great to know that we have somewhere to unload the shitty ones now with still make decent profit! Very lucky must say you guys are GREAT for business. Making so much more then before. Sorry about taking so long to get here though. So many new challenges takes a while to adjust.

As for Strange crystals? Those be rare as fuck and worth a whole lot. If you found some you got quite the fortune.

Vehicle wise we got ourselves

Hover(expensive. Slow but steady. Tough. terrain doesn't matter at ALL. highest tech standard)

Tread vehicles(reliable. decent terrain capabilities. sturdy. bit slow. Low Tech standard)

Wheeled vehicles(cheap. easy to fix. good speed. Not so good terrain capabilities. lowest tech standard)

Would have some insect and even some spider stock but they sorta got bought out already.

Mini reactors
Wrist computers
nanites(limited)
and other such fun stuff.

Special Weapons Platform- So many weapons bit lacking in armor though.

The APC I can imagine as being vastly useful in aiding Alexis in her scouting missions/rescue ops.
Books and info are always usefull. Knowledge is power.
A different nanite strain samples will be of immense opportunity once Richard returns.
>Fuel cost of these?

As for the other hovercrafts, we should get one of everything depending on the fuel needed to purchase them.
By priority or I suggest
-Special Weapons Platform (could mount a railgun on it)
-Artillery
-Cargo Hauler
=The Tanks

Data uploaded into network downloading now for user perusal.

Psionic: always quite rare and potentially powerful. Seems to draw power from oneself personally which is why anything that effects it amazingly valuable. For the most part everyone has at least heard of a psy user and quite possibly seen a weak one. Stronger ones however are truly something else. There are reports of there being ways to forcefully unlock abilities and even enhance abilities. They tend to be rare and have some nasty side effects though. Actual abilities wise it can vary depending on the user. Some are born with abilities and can never improve while others can improve but are not born with abilities.Other similar things are also known to occur.

Psionic crystals are strange. The first seemed to feed of something...that nothing could ever seem to detect. We still don't know what it is. In any case however after that first change they soon began to develop in ways that could offer all manner of effects and grew to feed of many things. Problem is their all extraordinarily rare especially ones that deviate from the norm.

Nanite beds are used by corporate and high tech research facilities to construct needed components on an otherwise unattainable level. Unfortunately their very limited in what they can do in order to avoid a grey goo scenario. And even harder to fix. Especially now they were always a rare, expensive, and hard to fix even before things went to hell. Its even worse if their experimental as they may very well be one of a kind and can't be jump started.

swamp complexes was once covered in all manner of labs and bases. Officially it was to produce chemicals and other sensitive materials...that was the official story. The truth that site was situated perfectly for all manner research and having the resources in hilariously easy reach. It was just too good to ignore so it wasn't. After that military bases were built to protect said interests.

I thought the mini-reactors were only necessary in powering the factory equipment to run behemoths, not be a part of them. We always had like 4 mini reactors but we built more than 4 Behemoths. I could be mistaken though.

I wouldn't say that bombadiers are oto easily destroyed. Only that we produced more of them because we could keep the away from danger and fire at longer distance, but danger always had a nasty habit of catching up to us. Both of them were easily chumped when the fighting reached them.

Bombadiers were incredibly usefull in quelling the feral ghoul horde. Torg knew it. I'm 100% sure he make Bombadiers even better.

For some reason I always imagined once Richard and Clora started to work on projects together, it was akin to being. . .parents. Like some kind of Mother Nature and Father Science deal. She'd nurther them and give them life and help them grow, while he'd design them and control them and keep them in check.

If Richard is the father of the mutantborgs, she is undoubtedly their mother. (I bet that's actually literal in her case, but not at all in Richards).

I can imagine they'd come up on disagreements quite often though.

>Hey, it's not that simple. I don't just sit on my ass, I actually have to guide these poor fools. Do you know how hard it is when there are half a million different little mutations, plenty of them quite bothersome some downright ridiculous. I have to intervene with even the simplest tasks. Why I once had to-
>I don't even even hear about it!
>Fine then. I wouldn't expect you to understand, Richard. It's not something you've engaged in quite the many centuries. Or have you the misfortune of never knowing a woman at all Mr. Scientist?

Rolled 71

We only built a total of 1 bandit and 2 bombadiers

And that is true. But we have to be able to defend them because the high tech bandit showed how well they do in close combat
>>
Rolled 31

>>27382763
And that is why clora is sad right now

We need to get Richard back. We can always allow him to start dissecting the blacklisted program the is limiting EDE
>>
Rolled 1

>>27383295
I was thinking a 2-1 Bandit-Bombadier ratio should be resonable.
Two Bandits on either flank of the Bombadier to keep it safe from harm and protect it while it fallsback in case the enemy gets close.

Still, while giant tanks are an excellent weapon we must lean on our right, that is, work on our strong points. We are not an industrial nation. Mutation and Psionics will have to guide us. Which is why we must find Richard and more node crystals as soon as possible
>>
Rolled 89

>>27383382
Definitelyy, i vote we go psionic like those bandits we fought. They were POWERFUL. Like crazy powerful.

I'm kind of hesitant to start producing fleshbeast army's as it will destroy our rep. Maybe only use they against other monsters? We can use them in the east swamp to clear out either the ghouls or zombies. Maybe we could send the ghouls into the city and control the zombies by way of psionics and who ever this guy is. We are gonna need to investigate that zombie research faction to.

But for now let's focus on self improvement
>>
Rolled 96

>>27383494
Sending those ghouls, into the city should help out GlowyJoe and give both the guard and the other faction up there some trouble without making us the badguy
>>
Rolled 75

>>27383494
There's nothing wrong with having a terrifying military and monsters under leash. Other armies have had far greater things at their disposal and wouldn't think twice.
The issue is whether or not you care to initiate communication first before you let loose the dogs of war.

As for the Zombie-Ghoul war, this is a most precarious point we find ourselves on. We can tip the scales one way or the other, but I'd recommend against it. We don't want to create an unstoppable force. Both the Ghouls and the Zombies are slaves to a hunger for flesh, and both have some sentient members and ferals. We've just had the fortune of attracting the most intelligent Ghouls first, but Alexis has also confirmed intelligent and advanced zombies as well.

We shouldn't just up and let one side win. If anything, I'd like to wittle them both down and have some kind of leverage against each and strike when the iron is hot.

Keep our enemies close, and our friends closer, especially if they can easily be one or the other.
>>
Rolled 100

>>27383571
Yeah, we annihilate the zombies and ghouls flood the swamp to the brim. Then who's to say they won't be knocking at our door?

>Wasted 100
Fuck, not again I hate when I do that
>>
Rolled 64

>>27383571
Let's just let them stay as they are for now. They are both to busy dealing with the monsters to fight eachother. And the ghouls are very good at feasting on these monsters. We think.

And we think that the ghouls would win against the zombies as they had pretty much dominated them up till the broodmothers attack.
>>
Rolled 14

>>27383661
Right now we can't really do either thanks to the monsters. We don't even know if the zombies can survive the new monster influx. We are pretty sure the ghouls can.
>>
>>27383683
>And we think that the ghouls would win against the zombies as they had pretty much dominated them up till the broodmothers attack.
And we should consider whether that's an end we want or not.

In any case the tides of war can shift at any moment. Ghouls win today, zombies start invading their land tommorow. Or an even greater foe and up and eat them both. I'd rather like that to be us, somehow.
>>
>>27383710
No I mean all the precious info we have on secret tunnels that run under both their camps that Alexis discovered. That could fall into the wrong hands if we don't keep a tight lip.

Zombies have been here long before the ghouls, and they've held their own so far. We shall see where this goes.
>>
Rolled 75

>>27383727
Either way enslavement/controlling is best for enemies who are slaves to hunger, as they don't care as long as they are fed.

But both is also a possibility

And the monsters are a problem right now to
>>
Rolled 51

>>27383758
Hmmm, I wonder if we can't find a profit selling war secrets to both sides. Weaken them both in the process, gain goods, and none the wiser. One side gets too strong, we whisper the location of a tunnel to the other.

That's incredibly risky though unless we can figure out a way to hide secret channels to talk to both of them.
>>
Rolled 75

>>27383821
Let's not do that, that's really tempting the devil. Plus even if the ghouls or zombies win emwe are to small "flesh" wise to be worth the military might we can muster. And we have ways in with both of them.
>>
Rolled 71

>>27383912
I suggest either setting up some sort of psionic "discouraging" around our base to keep the monsters away. That and using psionics to both guide them away from us are towards our enemies. That way it causes problems for them without us being together blame

At the moment user the swamp is already being flooded with ghouls especially as zombie conversions happen and more move in from outside. This swamp is quickly turning into a ghoulish bastion. At the moment ghoul forces have populated half of the swamp. And their already making headway into Redneck swamp. If the zombielands are overwhelmed they would then begin to make advances into the final untouched part of the swamp they have yet to make landfall in.

I was thinking after Clora get's over her issue, of a side project solution to the food problem and a way to discourage low-mid tier monsters.

Cow fleshbeasts. With highly caustic blood. They will consume all biomaterial, helping cut down on swamp foilage. Any monster or bandit who is foolish enough to eat them will get naught but a mouth full of acid with no nutritional value. Thus we will not have to actually watch them or take care of them, just let them loose.

When they grow fat enough, they are hearded back home by a psionic/chemical message from Clora gives them a special mutagen entirely unique to her alone that detoxifies their blood rendering them into perfectly harmless food. Not only will we have a bountiful food supply, we may also have enough meat to start trading the Ghouls with.

Possible EDE?

i think establishing a proper bandit faction can wait until we are strong enough to keep them from turning on us.

i vote we halt the crystal research for a bit, but lets still set up that field. we should do a bit of psionic development to keep Tabula Rasa occupied but lets not delve in to far.

There is just so much out there but we don't have the necessary force projection to let alone quell our swamp to even make us of it all. Not to mention the north is blocked off by united bandits and the city, the east is the great Zombie Wars, so it seems the least difficult option is finding a way to peacefully enter the Hillbilly's and see what we can profit there.

However, we should also get to exploring the ruins and secondary tunnels we discovered. Hopefully they aren't as monster thick as (not)She Who Hunger's tunnels.

Technically we do have thousands of spiders to make easy work of them.
We'll ask EDE if we can get a free scrap bonus using them because that's what their made to do.

As for swaying the mutants, we could always lead by example. Strongarms tell tales of the great fights they have seen and the glorious last stand of Duelfist. "Dey gave us da best foighting any Strongarhm could evah ask"

>Mutations: +Tank. -Withered Limb. +Monstrous Strength.
Got those

>Buggers Small and Smart like Kreepy Runt Pack but very good at avoiding trouble unlike runts.
>Mutations: +Keen Eye. +Sonic Radar. -Sensitive.
We already have Tectus and Spiders for hidden ears and eyes, but we could always use more scouts and aparently really really hurt apparently. Maybe their suckers strong enough to attach onto anything permanently. Like a barnacle on the underbelly of an enemy vech connected to the hivemind.

>Rix: Nasty buggers every last one of them. Very hard to kill and wee bit crazy.
>Muations: +X Claws. +Carapace Plating. +Monstrous Armor. -Juiced.
Dunno

>Viroz: Nasty bastards walking plagues each of them but for some reason bastards never get sick and can survive in nightmarish conditions even by Mutant standards.
>Mutations: +Spewer. +Infested Symbiont. +Immunity.- Plague Cauldron
Very deadly, very dangerous. Remember to bring hazmat suits or something. Could be useful for Richard to make better virus weps.

>Vizen: Sneaky charismatic fuckers the lot of them. Oh and by the way when they say looks can kill its literal among them. Too bad they can't stand each other though otherwise we all would of been screwed.
mutations: +unnatural grace. +Killer eyes. +Pheromones. +Camouflaged Structure.
Also the Vashari. Kinda like them, but not as loathing of each other. Really we only have Miss Mox example. They like privacy, which the Mulic and Prophet can provide from the mind

EAST SWAMP:
Factions: zombies, ghouls, spawn, monsters
The same old thing is going one here. the Ghoul/Zombie war, we want to keep them as it is until we are strong enough to either force them to join us or annihilate one group.

JUNGLES:
Factions: Monsters, ???
Nope nope nope nope nope nope. lets just no even go there.

Mountians and Beyond:
Seems like a pretty nice place, no giant ass war and shit like that. to far away to be any real threat or benefit. we would have to cross the Jungle of the Waste to get there.

SOUTH SWAMP:
Factions: Supermutant/Cortana, Clora's sister, Noble Hunter?
The military faction and Clora's sisters' forces are battling it out here, which mainly constitutes them trying to find her. Most of the ruins down there are under water. this is where we have encountered that hunter that is better than Alexis every time, next time we see him we need Alexis to approach him and ask him to give her some tips/offer him a base of operations, he is very skilled and even able to engage pursuit in the Deep Swamp. Apparently Cloras' sister is interested in her sister, whether this is good or bad we do not know but either way it doesnt matter because she is pinned down until the Arch brood king arrives or the military faction backs off.

DEEP SWAMP:
Factions: Monsters, Monsters, Monstrositys, Scientific Experiments Gone Wrong,
That place is still a No-Go because it is still filled with monsters that we could not handle, it is advised to stay underground in the tunnels which are a bit better than above ground, the tunnels can connect any place in the deep swamp if you are willing to fight through whatever is down there.

Don't forget the Peninsula Industrial bay and the ancient superfactories/mountain sized wrecks of the old world civ.
I think there's another giant city to the far east past the zombie hive marsh where Glowy people live near industrial generators and another faction amongst a makeshift fortress of fallen skyscrapers.

Also this Gentleman hunter seems like an interesting fellow with a superior taste in women.
>>
Rolled 95

>>27371371
WEST SWAMP:
Factions: HillyBillys, GentelMan RedNecks,
Apparently they have adapted quite well to their swamp and have the monsters under control as they have hunting trips INTO THE DEEP SWAMP. they have great weaponry which we are going to buy some of. there are under ground water purification plants that have been purifying water since the apoc and it has helped keep the swamps from turning into the jungle which is a very very good thing. they have Moonshine, we should get some. it is very ill advised to become a significant presence there because the HillyBillys are very xenophobic and would attack us. lets stick to trade.

PENINSULA:
Factions: Scattered Villages/tribals, FUCKING GIGANTIC military base and fleet construction center.
The people inhabiting that Production Center could probably squish us like a bug so lets not go there. they also probably produced the military factions Mobile Fortresses. they may have a sea fleet. for some reason they havent used there massive production power to bring the entire peninsula under their control, lets not ask why.

CITY:
Factions: The Guard, Light Cin City (GlowyJoe), Sky Scrapers, Scattered Corporate Remnants.
The Guard are the "Law Enforcers" up there and are a major power house, they wouldnt like us very well so lets avoid them for now. Light Cin City and Sky Scrapers seem to be either opposing each other or at war (we know who we would aid in that) it is unknown if "the guard" have an interest in that war. there are scattered corporate holdouts and bandit gangs. Light Cin City is a (glowing) cleaned up district of power and manufacturing. Sky Scrapers are in a dome of collapsed skyscrapers. there is a unique type of zombie in the city that can mutate on its own, there is also a cool dude who helped guide us through them.

>>27386973
i know, and the city that they scouted is the city directly to or north
>>
>>27387163

WASTELAND:
Factions: Richard, The Doctor, mutants
This place is almost completely destroyed. it is hellish even by mutant standards, rivers of ooze, oceans of craters, gigantic boneyards. the works. mutants are the only thing that can survive for long there, human scavenging teams are hightech and rare. the ruins are mostly intact, would be good for scavenging once we have some bases set up on its edge. The Doctor is a very benevolent man who doesnt get along well with Richard and believes in helping people (recruitment is unlikely due to our reputation). Richard says that he will not come back until we can assure his ability to work (protection from our people). he says he is seeking out EVE and thinks that it would be a nice break from bio-tech. but he does not know where it is right now.
>>
Rolled 92

>>
>>27387247
>Richard says that he will not come back until we can assure his ability to work (protection from our people)
But we can communicate with him. . .somehow I hope.
As soon as the Prophet wakes up we'll see about getting him hivemind lab assistants. Just have a memor be there with him, and he tells them the oders direct through a secret Hivemind channel.
>>
>>27387247
And the issue with the edge of the wasteland to the swamp is the Odd Bandits have forts there.

We'd have to break our semi-formal non agression treaty if we wanted those forts and lose any and all little reputation we have.

so this all basically confirms what we know, lets focus on improveing our selves and bringing the North Swamp under our control before becoming a presence in any other area. by way of uniting the mutants first. from there we can build a bandit faction and delve into psionics and improve our rep.

but first we need to bring our swamp under our own control

These guys united are waging a bigass war against the Zombies. We're like fleas to them.
Unless we find three broodmothers, there's no way we'll be able to outbreed them at this rate.

But if we can get the one tribe to join we'll at least have a pathway into the city.
>>
Rolled 23

>>27386459
we only got 1 tribe of the strongarms

buggers seem semi-usefull

rix seem like they wold be good in combat to fight alongside the Strongarms

Viroz: lets save them for last as they could really fuck us over

Vizen: convincing them is gonna be hard, as they hate the idea of the hivemind. psionics could help with that, so could the broodmother but we dont want to destabilize the hivemind.

Who are Kreepy Runt Pack?
>>
>>27387616
I think we'd have better luck looking for the Vashari than the Vizen.
>>
>>27387546

>>
Rolled 29

>>27387546
no, the ghouls are united, there are no "tribes" of ghouls, they only have a few major bases. this has been stated before they consider us "small but beyond vicious" they all like us alot as we have fed them a ton over the years. and we are the entire reason they are here. they were nice enough to send an envoy to us (the NIGHTMARE INCARNATE), i know they arent to popular either but still, just to tell us that there is gonna be a monster influx. they obviously like us. and we could probably get them avoid a certain section of the swamp if we plan to any serious exploring/scavenging by simply asking them.

not only that but the one time they attacked us we fucking destroyed the entire horde in moments (Torg). needless to say we have shown them how strong we are. and we dont need to outbreed them, they are a hunger based infantry force, strong vechs and high tech work wonders on them. but we arent going to fight them anyway

>>
>>27387882
Well I just hope the sentients don't mind letting us pass through their front lines.
As for the ferals they would serve better serving us than dead. I was hoping that before we get some good wranglers as side project Richard could invent a way to cyborg them and cutout their insane brains for cyborg computer control. We'd just have to have spiders and Tectus capture them by droves and cyborgify them.

Not gonna work now without Richard and we have other things to deal with.
>>

>>27387942
we'll just wait for awhile while we build our forces. we dont have an immenent threat so we are gonna turtle up for a bit. while we recruit mutannts and bandits and then delve into psionics. the ghouls will also protect us from whatever "attention" that the psionics draw.

we should also tell Richard to keep an eye out for more crystals
>>
Rolled 57

and one of those big yellow splotches is held by the Bandits. (the bottom left one) it is the high tech facility that they retook after ramona destroyed them.

and we're going to be setting up new bases to. lets set them up in some of the facilities that we are going to explore, the ones that are nearer to us.
>>
>>27387989
Once monster mayhem ends and Clora and Prophet feels better we could try that cow idea on the side and start selling meat to the Ghouls for trade. Just inform the sentient ghouls how they work and to keep the ferals under their control away.
>>
>>27388034
We need to secure our own base first, and then get the necessary pop to run those new bases. On top of that they're only ruins, we'd have to build actual buildings from scratch so we'd need to aquire a lot more construction material. Luckily we have workers and spiders and Cargo haulers to construct buildings, but we may have to research irrigation and swamp construction as we'll likey have to drain the ruins for dry ground before we can build.

We'ev never actually built anything on the swamp outside of simple wooden towers.
>>
Rolled 1

>>27388048
nah, EDE already said that they wont survive the new monster levels. he said that the new monster levels are going to be comparable to regular monster mayhem. though i do like the idea of farming meat its just very hard to do.

>>27388091
actually many over thses ruins are intact, they are just locked down. like that old military base that the bandits set up in. so they are likely to have buildings and everything, they'll just need to either be cleared or we can hook up EDE into their base to take control of it.

if EDE cant control both bases then we could have him construct a VI to take over the place, then have him make a VI to run our defense systems

>>
>>27388201
we should probably produce some doom buggies for them to use. or maybe try to find a way to make them silent.
>>
>>27388400
We have 5 silent APC hovercrafts for Alexis spec ops teams on special missions (which I presume we sent with them to the nearby camps). Faster and quieter than any wheeled vehicle.

doom buggies could still be useful for normal Tectus missions, if we make them as quite as they are. I'm not so sure if that's possible on a conventional wheeled vehicle with a diesel/biofuel engine. If we can reverese engineer hovercraft tech, that would be useful, but such info is "highly guarded and valuable" and we don't have Marcus vehicular ingenuity anymore.
>>
Okay, look.

>Developing psionics

The Arch Brood King That is to say, the QM advised against this, also we solved the "first problem" with our hivemind by blowing the taint out of it but whatever the second problem Protip: It has something to do with the hiveminded creatures that Alexis saw in the tunnels before she was kidnapped long ago is yet to be solved.

I'd say it's safe to figure out how to grow these crystals, and establish a crystal farm, but overt psionic research (i.e. A GODDAMN PSIONIC DETERRENCE FIELD, GAHH COME RAEP US B4 WE R 2 POWRFUL PLZZZ) should not be done.

>Recruiting

Going on and on about recruiting mutants is fine and all, but if they are still around than they probably blame us for their lives being so hard, as we called in swarms of zombies and ghouls which brought along fuckhuge deep swamp monsters.

Also, did you catch OPs quip about "there's a reason the ghouls are avoiding mutants"? The mutants aren't likely to be as harmless as they were in that list everyone's bandying about that came from Dualfists in the 2nd or 3rd thread.

We do have with us though, a BAD-ASS Bandit-Raider ghoul, a good number of non-mutant bandits, and some excellent tech/weapons for them to equip themselves with. The Arch Brood King Otherwise known as: the QM advises we establish a bandit faction, I suggest we follow his advice. Send Voss the ghoul out with our bandit forces, some of our Spider Tanks, and most of our hovercraft (as well as the best arms and armor we can muster) to recruit some goddamn bandits.

We'll tell him to be gone for 4-6 months, and tell him that if he does well we'll give him something. Gotta be careful though, he's an evil fuck.

Concerns with that though, are possible reductions in Rep in having this infamous individual as our recruiter, and what he might do on his own for 6 months with 1000 very well equipped bandits.
>>

>>
>>27388543
with how those traders reacted to us bringing up those crystals i imagine that they are a lot more atention drawing than doing a bit of psionic research or setting up a small field.

not only that but this place is flooded with Ghouls and Deep Monsters. if we just keep it to 1 small field than they shouldnt attack us. besides we need that field bad because we got some crazy monsters all around us. and while our defenses have been improved i dont think we can quite hold them all off
>>
>>27388543
>>27388631
but besides that i agree with everything else. we should just tell that ghoul dude to "cool it on some of that evil shit" even if he wont listen it may help a bit.

and the mutants will be paramount to increasing our pop

and exploring those tunnels is also a ery good idea.
>>
>>27388586
Wait a second, read that as "ultimate stealth" instead of "ultimate stability".
Yeah, stealth can probably be added by our normal engineers for what it's worth.

However the added bonus is they are the fastest vehicles in our arsenal and being hovercrafts one of the most all terrain. There's little they can't go and few dangers they can't escape.
>>
>>27388543

>Trading

We've expressed interest in trading our weapons/tech with the Hilly Billy family of the incestuous peoples to the west, and they responded with:

"No."

So we're going to have to find something else to trade to them. We haven't offered biofuel yet, to my knowledge. We might consider asking them if they'd like some nasty swamp monsters for hunting.

We might consider talking with the high-tech bandits now that we've cleared our hivemind, and setting up trade with them. They took over biofuel manufacture after the Skull Fuckers were wiped out and we didn't take their place, so they have access to a wide range of goods. If we can find something they want, it'd likely be good money for us so to say.

We'd need to be very careful with dealing with them though, they have potent Psionics in their numbers and if we attract Psionic attention then we're fucked. At least, according to QM/Arch Brood King
>>
>>27388543
>>27388631
not only that but that said that those crystals were worth a fortune. we may get attacked purely for monetary reasons if we set up a farm right now. i support setting up a field around our base but nothing more, it will give something for our Crystal hero to focus on so he doesnt get bored and run off.
>>
>>27388631
We're still only delaying, not solving the problem though.

When they run out of zombies and humans to convert (a great feat), they might turn to us.
Then we'll see who assimilates who.

Also unless they have really short lifespans or a terrible disaster strikes their numbers won't go down for many many years.

Boom sticks- a sonic/artillary personal cannon

Gatling railguns-railguns in gatling form

coilshots- monstrous shotguns on crack

cannon rifles- rifle turned cannon or vice versa. Keeps adaptability and sturdiness despite firepower and not going hi tech.

Eater plate- partially consumes projectiles to repair itself.

Butcher armor- excellent heavily protected CQC armor with plenty of built weapons. Without being hi tech power armor.

Aquan Powah armor designed for underwater and other hazardous locales without giving up on protection no matter the kind or toughness in fact it further enhances it.

BOOM force shields release a detonation when something enters range. For projectiles this can weaken and even fuck with their accuracy. For melee this means get a BOOM to the face and having your weapon get blown up on.

Puncha shields enhance the user's melee fighting capability.

The Bandits, the Enforcers, Enclave, and a Bandit city under the skyscrapers. As well as the possibility a human military and governmental factions may still be around beyond our sight.

StrongArm
Mutations: +Tank. -Withered Limb. +Monstrous Strength.

Buggers: Small and Smart like Kreepy Runt Pack but very good at avoiding trouble unlike runts.
Mutations: +Keen Eye. +Sonic Radar. -Sensitive. Suckers+.

Rix: Nasty buggers every last one of them. Very hard to kill and wee bit crazy.
Muations: +X Claws. +Carapace Plating. +Monstrous Carapace. -Juiced. Mega Maw+

Viroz: Nasty bastards walking plagues each of them but for some reason bastards never get sick and can survive in nightmarish conditions even by Mutant standards.
Mutations: +pathogenic cloud. +Infested Symbiont. +Immunity.- Plague Cauldron. Sickness-. Bile+

Vizen: Sneaky charismatic fuckers the lot of them. Oh and by the way when they say looks can kill its literal among them. Too bad they can't stand each other though otherwise we all would of been screwed.
mutations: +unnatural grace. +hypnotic eyes. +Pheromones. +Camouflaged Structure. Killer Looks-.

User I have detected a new hero unit. Underground for some reason.

In any case Alexis ran into Miss Mox when she was out tracking down mutant camps. Torg meanwhile using old Strong Arm routes/camp locations found some StrongArms to recruit...who were all more then happy to comply apparently they all heard about the Legendary Warlord Duel Fists.

Miss Mox told Alexis an interesting tid bit about a strange new hero who somehow has bee getting Vizen to stop hating each other of all people and has even united other mutants. Meanwhile she gave her the location of a number of mutant camps to check out even the lair of this strange hero...so she stopped at the camps. And Tried recruiting only to discover that they each had very specific requirements. None of which she did particularly well...expect for that one hero who they were all familiar with. So she went to this heroes lair...only to find the noble hunter.

Oh you have GOT to be FUCKING kidding ME.

Why hello their my favorite lady huntress it is such a pleasure to see you again.

Why but WHY.

Well obviously you weren't going to see me so easily. honestly if I had known I would of set up some nice tea ahead of time. You caught me off guard, but anyway I was tired of the whole monster hunting got bored. Yet there were such amazing natives and I wanted to understand them to do that however I had to prove myself so I did.

...but HOW I mean they each had such high standards that only one of their own but yet...

Why my beautiful lady and shining light in my cursed heart of darkness it was because that I am Wilfred Didrikson the Fifth.

...bullshit back then you were a human you NEVER would people to do the requirements of that so you arn't human...so just what ARE you?

That was with the creature that went by the alias of Wilfred Didrikson the Fifth grimaced.

How can you doubt one such as I?

Yeah I am SO not falling for that one.

What you don't trust me?

I just know that something is off.

Well in any case how about dinner huh?

no-

but you can try to figure me out as much as you want!

Mulic and Ortor were not from the northern swamp.

Vizen- so painfully beautiful that it can literally kill yet amazingly stealthy if they desire it. Notorious for their loathing of each others company and even more so of others. Free tip NEVER look them in the eye. Ever. At least if you don't want to die or worse anyway.

Buggers- painfully clever and igneous other mutants loathe them as their encounters will them always made them look like both idiot and a sucker. That is if you can find them anyway which when you do its always to late. As they only want to stay hidden long enough for them to pull of their stunts.

Rix- Monstrous creatures with claws that can slice through a tank and a maw that could bite power armor in half. Lets not go into just how good their armor is. Suffice to say plain old bullets to just fall right off. At least with strong arms it might leave a bruise if your lucky or just a scratch if not. Only problem is the hellish mixture of drugs and chemicals naturally produced by their body makes them extremely unpredictable and seemingly impossible to take down no matter how much damage you inflic

Viroz- A toxic pathogenic clouds continually shrouds these strange mutants from sight. They prefer nesting in the most hostile conditions they can find. What is they strange however is no one has seen what really looked like even in death. Their corpses just turn into a pile of such toxic sludge that Richard would be impressed. They also cannot get sick, poisoned, or anything really. Their bodies completely reject it or should I see what lurks within their bodies don't like to share.

Hero acquired Wilfred Didrikson the Fifth who for some reason Alexis doubts is even human especially now. Anyway he likes to go by Wil.

Brood Mother Clora'Zel

Bonus mutation
Bonus production(specialized fertility)

the Joining- non mutant creature becomes mutated as well as part of brood.

Aura of Benevolence- Creatures near broodmother benefit from increased EVERYTHING.

Infestation- A broodmother may establish a new Lair where ever she so chooses. Said lair also benefits from a spawning pool increasing population growth. Not to mention attracts all manner of monstrosities.

All is Mother- Broodmother may change her form readily.

Power OVERWHELMING- Broodmother is VERY powerful psionicly AND physically. able to mimic/copy any other abilities in the brood including psionic.

6 resources consumed for said 'reasons'.
He has also looted a number of the hilly billy goods. I am not sure what he is doing with them other then a strange number of interesting new turrets, fortifications...and is that shields? It is also worth noting that their recieving aid from both the Buggers and Viroz.
