You hear a scream as she throws the quincy into the others and charges the sprawling group. Her fists swing at nearly supersonic speed, quickly becoming coated with gore and bone as the bodies of her enemies crunch under her fists."Let go of my onii-chan!" "The fuck're you doing?" You ask causing Akira to wave at you as if to placate you.It takes a few moments but they finish and then pull the rug back and you see a large trap door waiting for you. "The fuck does that go?" You demand while wondering why you have been so uncreative in your dialogue today. "No I haven't I had a bet with monologue that I couldn't- Oh damn it." You frown. And it seems I have won."Shall we go sensei?" Akira asks as Ryouichi leans against the wall, his eyes shifting occasionally to take in the room."Ryoko is still outside but-" You start but stop as the thin wall collapses by the door frame and Ryoko falls in. She rolls a few feet with a quincy and slams her fist into his face a couple times causing the spiritualist to twitch and spasm for a second or two before going limp. You wait for the scrubs to come find you and give a sniff in the air. The stench of quincy and the strange lack of scent you have come to associate with bounts is here, but there is also something very different, something you can't quite place. Your scrubs catch up, Ryouichi holding up the line for an extra minute by commenting on how his life is suffering, before you move on. You walk for who knows how long. "Average walking speed is 1.4 m/s, we walked for about half an hour. How far in are we?" You glare at your mind while Ryoko continues to drink.Just trying to keep a good narrative. "Do better. Which reminds me, supersonic speeds are an actual speed in which-"Fine. You feel the heat of the tunnel go up as you walk through until it's like you are standing in a sauna. The sounds of activity can be heard from the room in front of you and you peek in. Within are several quincies and bounts in what looks like a feat hall of some sort. They are all talking to each other and seem to be having an enjoyable time, totally ignorant of the carnage Ryoko wroght above. The rest all do something with energy and / or spirit particals. Ryoko& Akira say nothing abouthow they pull off walking in the air. Does that mean they don't actually expend juice to airwalk?

You punch the first one in the jaw before leaning back and away from a fine wire which lashes over you and catch the quincy you just hit in the jaw. You continue leaning until you are standing on your hands and then kick down directly into the other quincie's head. He buckles and you leap from your crouching position to tackle the one who got slashed by the wire to the ground.You rain fists don upon his as he struggles to regain his bearing, and roll out of the way as the second quincies wire slashes him a few more times. You fire a few balas off to the wire using quincy as the first draws a large axe of some sort. You throw out a mass of gravity as the axe swings and the blade gets stuck in the ground, too deep to be easily pulled. You deliver a satisfying punch to the axe quincies midsection and hold him there with your other hand while you fire electrical balas at his insides. You throw the quincy to the ground as the wire one throws up s small net of his small cutting weapons, but does not throw it up fast enough.You slip into the gap before he finished it and slam your foot into his knee, a sickening crack filling the room as it bends the wrong way and blood pools on his white pants. You lift him up and slam him into the ground a few times, shaking him at the end like a baby that has done something wrong. Of course the fact his head hits the floor with each shake is something that- "Dead baby jokes? Really? I am pretty sure we are above that level of humor." You not as the wire quincy stops moving. I know people are saying that speed is the upgrade to get, but I think durability might be a good option.It would unlock more defensive abilities and at this point, what we need is staying power. We have some pretty good firepower now, but we can't sustain presence long enough to use it all.This wasn't a problem before because we'd blow all our juice in one shot by dumping everything on top of one or two pandoras, but now we're going for steady DoT with Weapons grade. And we need to take less damage per round in order to stay on the field long enough to lay down heavy damage.Sure, Dur UP alone might not put us into stellar defenses, but think about what comes next.
