Chie pauses, looking at the headphone-wearing boy.

"Speaking of you..." She starts, watching as Hanamura realizes he may have just done something stupid "You said you'd return the movie you borrowed the first day of class!"


The expression on Yosuke's face says a lot.

"Uh... Yeah, I've got it here. It was really awesome" He starts, terror in his eyes as he shifts backwards a few steps, holding a DVD case out. "And... I'm sorry! I'lgetanewonepleasdon'tkillmeuntilmypaycheck!"

The bicyclist hides behind you as the girl opens her DVD case, expression changing to a murderous scowl.

"Y-yes ma'am!" You hear from behind you, as the girl turns away and the headphones wearing boy slumps down. "Oh man you just saved my ass."

You pause for a moment, and take out a second container of the food, holding it out to Yosuke.

"You too. I really made too much of this stuff." You say, giving it a shake.

"Hah. Thanks, but no thanks. Even if she finds it edible, I'm preeetttyyyy sure that doesn't loo-" He starts, waving his hands in a panic.

You pop the lid off of it and let the aroma catch his nose.

"...On second thought, sure!" Yosuke says, his expression changing to a goofy grin. "Hey, Satonaka, we should bond over Narukami's gift of lunch!"

Chie turns from where she's... Performing some odd ritual around the dish you handed her.

"Got one more of those?" She asks, looking at your bag.

You pull out the remaining two containers, and hold it at her.

"Great!" Chie says, turning to the red-sweater wearing girl. "Hey, Yukiko, come eat lunch with us! This stuff is great!"

"Oh... Okay." She- evidently named Yukiko- replies, looking up from her book.


...You decided to eat lunch with your new friends on the roof.

The four of you sit quietly on the roof, eating in near silence.

A muffled sound comes from Chie, as she's still stuffing what she can of the food into her mouth.

Yosuke, however, is being less of a pig, and he looks over to you.

"Well," He says between bites. "There's the one about the Amagi Inn being haunted. Started up last week, when that announcer lady just disappeared..."

Both Yukiko and Chie give him a glare. You feel like you're missing out on something.


"Oh, right!" The backpedalling in Yosuke's voice is obvious. "Sorry, forgot that that was a touchy subject around you, Yukiko."

Noticing your questioning look, Yukiko speaks up.
"I'm Yukiko Amagi. My family runs the inn." She says, clearing up your slight confusion. "I'm set to be the next manager, too..."


...Seems she doesn't want to dwell on that.


"Anyway!" Yosuke interrupts, catching everyone's attention. "There's the one about the Midnight Channel."


"They say if you stare at the screen of a TV that's turned off, alone, at midnight during a heavy rain..." He starts, obviously trying to be creepy. "That you can see your soul mate."

"...That's pretty close to what they say happens when you watch the midnight channel..." Yukiko says quietly, looking somewhat worried.

"When it finally cleared up a bit, I didn't see someone I'd consider likely to be my soulmate." You continue, watching their expressions carefully. "Well, unless my soulmate was a middle aged woman running from a bunch of monsters that looked like they were trying to eat her."

The three are silent as they digest the information.

"Haha! Good one!" Yosuke says, laughing in a fake manner. "Man, what a kidder you a-"

"I'm not joking." You say, cutting him off.

You describe the woman, and Yukiko's expression changes to one of shock.

"That sounds like..." She starts, her eyes widening. "Miss Yamano!"

The other two's expressions change to ones of shock.

"What was she wearing? Describe her clothes to me." Yukiko asks hurriedly, waving at the other two to hush.

You describe the woman's outfit as best you can.

"That's what she was wearing when..." Yukiko murmurs, looking thoughtful. "That's exactly what Miss Yamano was wearing the day she disappeared from the inn. She only had one blouse like that, and she didn't wear it out in public...."


The shock on the other two's faces is apparent, though this feels not completely surprising to you.

"Ha-ha! That's a good one, Yukiko!" Chie starts, before she notices the serious expression of her friend.
