Last thread, someone brought up the question of our current costume (the one from Last Stand, far left) and mobility. Our current costume gives us full range of motion, multiple disguise options, and plenty of extra space for carrying capacity and upgrades.

So, we get better at chemistry, develop high-tensile webbing like what was used in the MK1 SPider Armor. Instead of plates and gauntlets, we compress it down into thin inserts into the jacket and pants. Each one is hollow, filled with a mix of corn starch and water and sealed air-tight. Impact and bullet resistant on a low budget (relatively).

Then we work on electronics. Radio, cell phone, and police scanner. Air filter. MAybe a small rebreather (3-minutes tops). We build a collapsible helmet that can fold up from mask to I-Pad case. Make it look like the MK2 spider armor helm.

Then we crib an idea off of the Ricochet design and look into some non-lethal weapons. Web grenades, or just really strong bouncy-balls we can lob off of people's skulls. Some simple pockets woven into the arms can mean easy access to them. Probably wouldn't hurt to keep a water bottle and granola bar on hand too.

I like The End Spidey costume, but I always felt it needed a little something extra. Adding webs to the design itself would ruin it in my opinion, but without any webs it doesn't QUITE feel Spider-Man-ish enough.

People have done tests, Oobleck isn't bullet resistant enough to provide that kind of protection. It won't slow most bullets. But it should provide significant bludgeoning protection, which if we do do the superhero thing is going to be the most likely form of damage we'll be taking. So all in all, good idea.

She’s sitting on a bench near the front doors of the school. She’s got a book that she seems to be periodically reading, but she’s looking around- when she spots you you see her put the book away.

You keep your voice calm as she catches her breath, her voice becomes teasing. “Ah, you know me too well Spider, and you were waiting until we could do it -together.~” She pauses and gets more serious, her voice almost sounding angry.

“This wasn’t me, and I‘m actually upset people think that it is. The news isn’t reporting it but there was a guard injured, badly, and that goes against my code of conduct. Furthermore, I like to have a challenge and there’s no reason for me to steal something that can fly- this Cat likes to stay grounded.”

“I want you help Spider-man. Help me catch and reveal the person responsible for this, please.”

Her voice is serious and pleading.

This is what I was talking about (only better drawn). A tapered disk with holes at the widest points to release the webbing. Swing it after some runners at knee/ankle height with some spin to stabilize the throw and provide torque for the webbing and you have a pretty safe takedown toy that prevents people from running without necessarily risking asphyxiation from your targets.

Actually that's kind of good business sense. Actually curing cancer eliminates one of the largest crash cows that the pharmaceutical industry has, chronic life saving treatments are expensive and recurring. Once a generic cure is on the market the real money will be gone.

You might also like "Venom" (though that's ending soon), "Scarlet Spider" (though you should read ASM #666-673 first), and "The Superior Foes of Spider-Man" (Only three issues so far).
