Greetings /tg/. After last thread I've came to apply fixes to the materials that I've came up with (thanks to the anons and their great amount of imagination). Last thread was: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/26788660/

What was done in a nutshell:
- Allied Navis Nobilite of House Gentius was created.
- Fleshing out of the Void Plunderers and origin story of the Hex Company (still needs some work on it).
- Void Plunderers have now remnants of a Legio Cybernetica (instead of their private Skitarii force) that they got after a struggle with the Mechanicus (like in case of the Blood Angels and Baal Predator, only even more extreme).
- New Special Character: Samdi Baron, Shepherd of Souls and Master of VooDoo.
- Special Character revised: Marv The Mutilated is now a Dreadnought.
- VooDoo masks renamed to Masque Voudon.
- New unique vehicle created for the Chapter: Reaver Pattern Land Speeder (fast vehicle that can transport up to 5 marines, yet it has weak weapons and is fragile).
- Hive Fleet White Whale renamed to Hive Fleet Tanihwa.

Needing more ideas on how to flesh out the rest of the companies, so as to start after that to flesh out the hive colonies, the aforementioned Hive Fleet (as well the Lock's adversaries that live among the Calico Stars).

Have some cool weapons and wargear for the Locks. Dunno if you like it.
>>
>>26805144
So, I'll start with some of the Wargear for them:

- Morgawr Cloak – A scaly cloak made from the skin of the dreaded apex predators found around the deepest aquatic areas of the Hive Colony of Port Royalty, the scales are incredibly dense and surprisingly light.
It is said that the tougher elements of the sea serpent’s skin can even withstand the impact of especially strong rounds from the heaviest of ballistic weapons and even resist the strongest of power weapons. Only a Titan or entire fleets have the needed firepower to drive off such a monster, and to kill one is a even more difficult task. The scales are durable to the point that it protects the wearer from blows that could instantly kill a Marine in full Terminator armor.

- Calician pattern Power Cutlass and Saber – The standard weapons of every Black Lock, the Power Cutlass and Saber function like any other bladed power weapon.

However, due to the cutlass having the hand guard encased with the same field as the blade, the marine has better protection when fighting other power weapon wielding opponents (so that nobody would cut off his fingers).

The Saber on the other hand are usually wielded by Sergeants and the 1st and 2nd Mates of the company. They are ornamental weapons used not only in combat, but also during various ceremonies. Just like the cutlass, the saber also has its guard encased in a power field that increases the user’s defensive capabilities.

Cog Axe – A weapon utilized by the Techmarines and the Void Plunderer’s Cog Brothers, the Cog Axe is a simple looking slab of sharpened steel of a power axe, a opposite when compared to the ornamental axes of those of the Adeptus Mechanicus. However, the axe doesn’t exist to look fancy, but practical. Being well weighted and balanced, apart from use in combat, the axes are also utilized for cutting the adamantine wires and ropes on the ships or to cut the smaller tentacles of Void Krakens.
>>
>>26805230
- Red Talon – A giant, scary looking two handed cutlass-like power sword utilized by the veteran squad leaders of the Crimson Blades. A relic weapon of incredible power, the blade is capable of cutting through Terminator armor with incredible ease. Only the finest of the Crimson Blades can wield it in battle.

- Boltlock Sniper Musket – The Myst Grave’s weapon of choice when deep in enemy territory or when taking down key figures among the enemy ranks. The weapon really does resemble a musket (albeit with a longer barrel) with a sniper scope and a silencer attached to the end, yet in the hands of a Veteran Scout, it turns into a efficient and deadly weapon when loaded with a special kind of bolt rounds.

- Lock Rum – The sacred drink of the Black Locks and brewed by the Rum Grail’s Chaplains. The ways behind the rum are one of the most guarded secrets of the chapter. Those who consume it will have their senses further increased, yet only those with both the superhuman constitution of a Space Marine and being used to the qualities of the drink since a very young age can benefit from drinking the sacred concoction.
Those who drink it without these two qualities will get bombed and fall unconscious for five days (most will fall simply by sniffing it). A Space Marine not used to the Lock Rum on the other hand will get drunk to the point of being incapable of action (the Black Locks, being used to any kind of alcohol, have a large enough resistance to the rum’s downsides).

>6th thread
already so far?
I thought the last one was the first.

Anyway for Hex comapny Chapelans I think that instead of skull helemts they should wear wooden masks.
Maybe from a special undead wood that grows on dead moon of a long forgotten system.
as time passes tha mask slowly decays turning more and more horrible.
>>
>>26805144
here a song for them
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uf5WeZOvcI
>>
>>26805354
Nope, the previous year, there were four threads. The 5th one was a comeback thread.

Nah, Chaplains of the Hex Company would be the same as in other companies, but they would carry Mercy Blades in case they would have to cut a Acolytum member before something tragic will occur.

But with the wood part, it would be wooden elements build into a helmet. But the part with the system is nice.

>>26805396
Nice.

Continued:
Harpoon Cannons, Blast Cannons and Blaster Cannons – The two weapons that are the most characteristic among the arsenal of the Black Locks.

The Harpoon Cannons were based on the equipment of sea hunters who dared to venture into the open seas to hunt the biggest of creatures for both food and wealth. The weapons that the Locks use function in the same way as aforementioned equipment, yet modified for land combat.

The Harpoon Cannons are utilized when facing enormous monstrosities that the enemy might throw at the lads. The molecularly sharpened harpoons themselves are hooked, making pulling them incredibly difficult, not to mention that the force that shoots them gives the harpoons armor penetrative capabilities. A enough large number of Marines equipped with these potent weapons can force even the mighty Carnifex to fall to the ground.

The Auxiliary Blast Cannons and Blaster Cannons were created out of need for some decent artillery/anti-strong point weaponry (due to the Locks turning away most of their equipment for more mobility in the form of Rhinos, Razorbacks and Stormraven Gunships as means of transport, and partially because they left most of their equipment when they set off looking for the Ultimate Treasure).

These weapons are essentially Demolisher cannons, downsized and modified to fire further. The Blast Cannons are used by Terminators as Auxiliary Weapons (in a similar fashion as Cyclone Missile Launchers). The only problem with it is that the user must be immobile in order to fire it (but when it hits, then it hits really hard). The Blaster Cannons on the other hand are used by Dreadnoughts, yet thanks to the sizes and strength of these venerable machines, the Blaster Cannons can be shot on the move.
>>
>>26805440
Black Lock pattern Assault Cannons – A six barreled, solid slug weapon capable of chewing through light vehicles, hordes of weaker enemies and which is capable of taking down even more powerful ones in one precise barrage, the Assault Cannon is a devastating weapon in every Space Marine armory. Too heavy for man portable use by regular brethren, it is employed by Terminator squads whose physical strength is further enhanced by the full exoskeleton of the armor.

The Assault Cannons used by the Black Locks differ a little from the traditional design seen among other Chapters. Their pattern was originally created in order to fight especially stubborn targets and to reach enemies from a further distance. So great was the need for this weapon that the Techmarines even created a separate round of ammunition for it (as to increase the weapon’s range).

The barrels of the cannon are slightly longer, and are encased by a equally long, large tubular construct that looks very alike to a ship cannon. In fact, the tubular construct is a powerful cooling device that serves to disperse the heat generated by the weapon much faster. With this, the weapon can cool down after overheating and shoot more frequently than the standard ones. The Assault Cannon also features a modified loading mechanism and faster rolling barrels, making the barrages even more devastating. These differences from the standard design makes the Black Lock pattern deadlier than usually.
>>
>>26805510
Looted Chaos equipment – Weapons, wargear and vehicle upgrades that were taken from defeated Chaos Marine and Lost and The Damned forces. Combi Weapons, Havoc Missle Launchers and Pin-Mounted Weapons, Autocannons, Heavy Stubbers, unique baroque Power Weapons and Armors…as long as they are not corrupted to the point of not being capable of purifying (equipments that are utterly corrupting like Daemon Weapons and equipment that is utterly warped are shot out the airlock with excessive amounts of explosives strapped to them), then the Techmarines will purify them for the Chapter’s use.

These equipments are used extensively by the Black Locks alongside the standard weapons used by many Astartes and their own arsenal. The looks of Chaos Forces seeing the Locks using their own equipment against them is priceless.

That's all for now. So what's your opinion on all of this?
>>
Dang, maybe I should have done this thread later...no traffic at all.
>>
>>26805815
I'd love to check this out in a minute, but I'm a bit busy. Keep bumping and I'll be back.

Also, while I'm no drawfriend, I might do some quick sketches of weaponry

Don't forget the LeChuck Pattern single-shot Bolt Pistol.

Every initiate is given one upon taking their oaths. The bolt is coated in silver and contains a mixture of highly flammable blessed oils. The outer casing of the bolt is carved with prayers and the marks of detestation. Extremely potent against all forms of deamon.
>>
On the subject of the daemon possessed weapons maybe they sometimes don't just cast them to the void with explosives all over them but use them for ambushes

They are pirates and so sneaky and if they get say a relatively known piece of daemon equipment they set it up to be "discovered" on a world after they have left ( some time afterwards ) and whoever claims it mysteriously dies

In reality either a special force like another company stays behind and traps the everloving shit out of the area the item is being stored in and uses it to not only dispose of the evil gear but take out a heap of chaos worshippers too

And maybe as a side effect of making their rum they also create high explosive alcohol that they use as a substitute for normal explosives, so instead of regular grenades they throw rum molotovs
>>
There needs to be a servo skull named Murray in there somewhere.
>>
>>26806033
And the name of the Bolt Pistol comes from a infamous Rouge Trader that met his demise at the hands of a courageous privateer by the name of Threepwood.

After Le Chuck's demise, the pattern spread over the higher echelons of Calician military. When the pattern reached the Locks, they made their space marine sized versions of the pistol.

>>26806058
The traps would be Myst Graves specialty, while the explosives would be used by Assault Squads.

Great idea.

>>26806079
Who's Murray? For although my pirate knowledge is impressive, I don't know that part. Who was Murray?
>>
>>26805318
Idea for the Boltlock: It has a revolver barrel.

Because a breech-loaded bolt weapon, let alone a sniper, is stupid.
>>
Cat o' nine neural flails?
>>
>>26806139
Or it would be like a more traditional pistol, but after shooting, the pistol opens up to spit out the bullet shell. In order to shoot again, the marine has to close the pistol. The bullet is automatically loaded. When the bullets run out, the cartridge is removed and replaced.

The same with the Sniper Musket would be the same way.

>>26806166
Would the use neural flails? Maybe their combat servitors.

Or they could just be bolt pistols, et al, with furniture that resembles 16th-17th century firearms.

It's not like the White Scars use bolt-bows or something silly like that.

Hmmm, yer right. If they used it in actual combat, then it would've been actually one big minus due to the fact that a lot of things are rapid fire tier.

So that old image will not be useful anymore...unless the new bolt pistol would look the same, but have different qualities (aka: rapid firing).

The LeChuck pattern is for purely ceremonial use unless they see a deamon regular ammunition won't fuck up. Also the ammo is time consuming as all hell to make. Its the sort of think you fire at Deamon Princes and hope like fuck you don't miss.
>>
>>26806365
And that's why they train more than usually, so that if they were to be in this kind of situation, then they wouldn't screw it.

that undead wooden mask mentioned...
Maybe they use Necron faces ripped from defeated warriors?
Or the undead wood being some earlier experiment necrons did to create their own immortal flesh?

Maybe the LeChuck is also an oversize, custom round? Maybe even autocannon size instead of bolter size?

You could even have a couple special rounds, like shrapnel vs plasma vs incendiary.
>>
>>26806403
Wouldn't use necron salvage.

living metal has a tendency to be oddly infectious.
>>
>>26806403
That would be a nice thing. The robot zombies started to experiment with wildlife. They abandoned the project. This resulted in plants to mutate after absorbing the organic materials of dead animals (hence their dead-like look). This also resulted in the plants actually gaining the ability to have something that allows them to channel the warp (of course on a very limited level).

>>26806415
Think of it like a bolt pistol with a 1.5 times longer barrel than a bolter.
>>
>>26806513
Or to create something of a psychic aura...
>>
>>26806630
Didn't necrons had no shadwo in Warp?
So could such a mask block warp attacks?
Maybe add some pariah referencce.
>>
>>26806678
Actually the masks are the Lock's Witch Doctors' version of the psychic hood, but it may also be to better conceal the Witch Doctor's presence in the Warp.

I would also want to talk about something about the rest of their weapons and wargear. What from /tg/'s point of view on them. Are they OP or not? Are they true to the Lock's pirate theme? Are they lacking something?

I'd say their single-shot bolt pistols all use heavy bolter-shells, but compensate with longer barrels and, well, single shot and slow reload. All of their single-shot weaponry is either break-action or uses the method of >>26806310.
The cloak I find rather special-snowflakey, if that terms make any sense. Why would marines wear anything but that if it protects as well as Termie armour?

Also, what colours do we have? Black and white?

I also finished the melee weapons (sort of). For the blades, I imagine that the "panels" in the back are made blank and filled in with imagery and tales of their great deeds. This is especially true for the Red Talon, which is a sort of honour blade.

Going for ranged weaponry now...

>>
>>26807650
Yeah, now that the cloak was analyzed, then maybe change it into simply is a alternatively looking Adamantine Cloak. I only wanted it to sound in terms that you know this grants you Instant Death immunities.
>>
>>26807650
I have seen chain swordswords, chainfist and stuff.
But I never seen a chain saber or a chain cutlass.
Would you deliver it ?
>>
>>26808046
No. The Black Locks are the only Chapter that doesn't use chain weapons (except the chainfist and the Dreadnought issue chain blade). All their units (except for the Myst Graves' Veteran Scouts) are all equipped with some sort of power weapons. It's because that it's simply fitting their style and that power weapons are actually not so uncommon in the Calico regions (they either gained them via trade, got them as rewards or presents, or they got them as prizes). Yeah, that's Mary Sue-ish, but I can't imagine them, schwasbucklers with their own ways and who can even gain stuff in way other Chapters can't, to wield chain cutlasses and sabers.
>>
>>26808164
They make up for it with a general lack of rapid-fire weaponry.
>>
>>26808197
Indeed. That's why they don't have things like bolters and plasma guns (except for storm bolters and assault cannons).
>>
>>26808239
And heavy bolters.
>>
>>26808267
No, wait.

I had an idea.

The chapter has no ordinary bolter. None.
They just have the Boltlock Pistol (a single-shot Heavy Bolter pistol), the Boltlock Rifle (A revolver-rifle firing special Heavy Bolter-calibre rounds) and the Heavy Bolter.

What do you think?
>>
>>26808343
Now I'm finding trouble with my own theory. What would we have as assault weaponry instead?

...Shotguns?
>>
>>26808343
Or you could just limit them to bolt pistols.
>>
>>26808343
>>26808360
But what would their Terminators use? Let's make Storm Bolters Terminator exclusive (and only Terminator exclusive). And the Assault Cannon (for their Termies, Dreads and Stormravens/talons).

>>26808380
But that would be suicide.
>>
>>26808412
Well, you're right, I guess. I just thought it would be cool to just have that theme with high-damage single strikes in shooting, but I guess you have to make compromises, heh.

Indeed. Sometime compromises have to be done.
>>
>>26808559
Also I'd like to now show the rest of their equipment. Again, I dunno how /tg/ will react to it, so here we go:

Void Hammer – The Lock’s equivalent of the Thunder Hammer, the Void Hammer is both a weapon, as well a multi-purpose tool. The hammer can change into a powerful, extendable hydraulic arm that allows a marine to handle large or volatile objects in either normal or zero gravity conditions. These hammers are mostly issued to special squads of Terminators, but some of the chapter’s elder Techmarines use them for both to interact with objects, or as a smith’s hammer when forming the hot adamantium into slabs for later use and when forging new weapons.

Sea Star Rosarius – A Rosarius shaped in the form of a ten armed sea star and engraved with religious markings types (the very fact is that it is heavily influenced by the marine culture of the Calico Colonies). Apart of the unusual shape, it acts the same way as a normal Rosarius.

Anchor head Cronzius Arcanum – The badge of office of the Chaplains of the companies. Compared to the standard Cronzius, the ones used by the Black Lock’s Chaplains are shaped in the forms of various anchor types. One type has sickle-like blades, other are hammer-like forms, and there are those Cronzius’s that incorporate both sickle and hammer elements for greater versatility, making the already battle hardened Chaplain better prepared.

Masque Voudon – The piece of wargear used be the Witch Doctors of any of the Black Locks companies (as well by the Aspirants of the Hex Company). Appearing in various shapes and with various amounts of markings, the more ornaments added to the mask, the higher the rank of a company’s Witch Doctor, the more ornament the mask. The mask acts the same way as a psychic hood, since it’s made from special materials that help the Witch Doctor to better resist the perils of the Warp while channeling JuJu.

There's more, but are meh, so I'll limit to those in this post.
>>
>>26808833
Oh, and I almost forgot:

Witch Doctor Staff – A force weapon encrusted with bizarre glyphs and decorated with a large amount of animal (and also possibly human) bones that is also the badge of office of the Witch Doctors, these staffs allows them to channel their psychic might when striking someone in close combat, as well to intensify the effects of various psychic abilities they cast.

Digital Weapons – Bought or gained from various sources, digital weapons can have the shape of various jewelry or can be built into bionic implants and armor elements. Digital weapons are powerful, well camouflaged tools that cannot be easily detected. Although they lack the range to hit a enemy from distance, when activated up close, they can vaporize organic matter or turn the strongest materials into molten slag. Living in the Calico colonies where one can gain great fortune either with fast thinking or careful planning (or both), it is no wonder that even the least richest of nobles can afford to gain these potent devices.
>>
>>26808883
A anchor as a weapon is silly but cool.
Imagine rotating on a chain a 100kg Snchor with pointy ends and smahi enemy heads with it.(or using as a grappling hook)
>>
>>26808976
Nah, it wouldn't be that big, but it would be larger than the average Cronzius.

Plus I thought about Chain Hooks, but that was a meh idea.

Alright, finished the hand-held weaponry.

I imagine that that the Harpoon weaponry are coil-powered. The black parts are ferromagnetic parts to augment the inner coils. The coils also retract into the rifle when loaded to simplify mounting another shot. The Harpoon Cannon is powered by either a hellgun back-mounted powerpack or directly connected to the plasma reactor of the suit. The Harpoon Gun uses overcharged Munitorium standard packs.
Both also have internal cable systems which can be toggled if the user wishes.
