If you play the little girl, the DM sounds like he's going to do one of two things, both equally horrifying. He's either going to be completely down with it, and the next thing you know you're playing magical warhammer-breaking doujin girl, and the rest of the players will murder you, or he will be secretly waiting for this and preparing to drink your delicious tears when he gets to kill the shit out of your character for being so heretical. There may be rape involved, depends on the neckbeard level of the DM.

However, if you play this character PERFECTLY STRAIGHT - Big dude, in a robe, creepy as fuck, quiet but scary as hell when he decides to speak - then you might get something very interesting.

See, either way, the slowly smiling DM is going to try and pick up on your character's fetish sometime. He'll describe moonlit nights, gentle other-mutants, some weaboo bullshit like that. You just stay calm and be a complete monster, like the Grimdark Future says you should be, and you won't have a game about the fetish-y tentacle little girl rolled up in DH.

You'll have the story of Grogthar the Plot-Breaker, the only Saint who came from the hives. And it could be glorious.

If you get extra dosh, throw a red dot sight on two shotguns. +10 to hit if you use single shot. Also see if he'll let you get fun ammo, like incendiary rounds and see if he'll let you take slug rounds. Pale Throng is detailed in the Disciples of the Dark Gods. (or you can just look on a 40k wiki)

Basically, it's a mutant uprising on a hive world that is so bloody and entrenched that it's been going on for decades. I actually don't think it's a good idea for a PC background because all the Tranch mutants hate the Imperium with a burning passion.

ok, as I said 5'9" with a compact, muscular build. Given she can toss small cars, we're looking at a serious six pack or something close. I rolled her appearance, and we've got fair skin, Black hair, and gray eyes. The eyes, of course, are oversized.

The front of her body is fine, but at mid-back her body curves out to accound for the sheer mass of muscles necessary to keeping tentacles rigid and strong this means while she has a mostly normal profile, she has a hunchback made out of pure muscle. She doesn't necessarily hunch though; that's up to you on whether it looks good. The Tentacles take the place of her arms, as in the OP image. Tentacles should either be skin colored, a dull gray, or a putrid looking purple.

Body proportions are up to the artist; just choose something that looks good and we'll roll with it, I don't mind.

preferred clothing is basically a set of guard flak she scrounged from the bottom of the hive she's from - some armor, baggy pants, strong boots, and possibly a small piece of jewelery or two - she wants companionship and knows that jewelery is supposed to look pretty, or at least draw attention away from... other things.

She uses a lasgun and a laspistol at the same time for now, but that's not likely to last long. Feel free to play with what she's wielding, if you choose to include weapons at all; the tentacles count as up to four arms, so technically she can dual-wield autocannons for all we care.

She also has the inquisitorial =][= tattooed on her chin, where it can be covered up by a scarf or something. You know, stop people from killing her on sight

So, about names. You're asking about Underhivers and what they're called.

Likely, she has a nickname that most people around her have called her for her entire existence. Something short and brutal, like Squid or Hoist.

However, if you're going to play her as desiring affection and a real sweetheart, then she probably detests her nickname but is too embarrassed by her appearance to tell anyone different. In that case, I feel it should be something dainty, almost frail. Perhaps Elise or Myra.

Look up an Imperial Guardsman and make it look shitty and scavenged. Presto!

A more verbal explanation is that it is made of a few hard plates cushioned by impact-resistant material. It's great at lessening the impact of explosions and solid shot, less at stopping a plasma bolt.

The GM is big on players getting in over their heads - a recent campaign of his had Rank 3 DH characters running into necrons. He's talented, an amazing storyteller, and does his best to throw twists at you when you least expect it. He's one of the best GMs I've ever seen

Short answer: I have no goddamn clue, but it's going to be awesome.

As for other characters, the only other finished character is Bones, an older hiver in his mid-forties who sees Squid/Roveta as his protege. He saw her grow up, so he's definitely more of a father figure to her than the inquisitor is. None of the other players have a character yet.
