I try to figure out what got Rider so.... uneasy. Something I said? Something about the dream?

I toss and turn, failing to get comfortable for a long time before I finally manage to sleep.

Instead of the normal dream, I see something else. Two days, over and over again. The day I first woke up in the hospital, with Kiritsugu at my side. And the day he took me home.

Maybe I'm just trying to remind myself that it's over, and I have a new life to lead.

I wake up to Ilya shaking my shoulder. "Shirou?"

"Hmm?" I grunt, looking at her.

"Rider told me about last night. Told all of us, actually."

"Oh? Any thoughts?"

"Any-" She stops, giving me a weird look before sighing and pulling me into a hug. It's tighter that I thought she was capable of. "Today's going to be really weird for you, I think."

"It's not really a like or dislike thing, it's just something I'm really used to doing." I explain, putting the chopped greens in the broth. "It's like a jog in the morning to wake up or something, just part of my routine."

"You've been shaking, and pale as a ghost since I woke you up." She frowns, seemingly speaking to herself.. "The dream was that bad? No..."

Rider and Sakura sit at the table as I continue to cook, and Caster joins us with Saber as I set the table. "I'm only here to sever my connection with Saber and fulfill my end of the bargain. You needn't bother setting a place for me."

I walk around the house, grabbing my regular coat and going out to the shed to load up on 'supplies'.

Along the way, Saber joins me. "I just realized. With you, Rin has technically had three different servants since the start of the war now."

"Amen to that." I sigh, looking around. I take a trio of flashes and a smoke as well, tucking them carefully into my coat to hide the bulges.
