LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Gundam%20AGE%20Quest

Check my Twitter for updates and reschedules: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Jake Crocker and you are on the Vagan Homeworld. You need to sneak into Ezelcant’s Castle to rescue Desil’s parents who are being held somewhere in the basement probably in cold sleep. Rena, Alfred and Zeal have set up a beam emitter jury rigged from a spare beam saber lying around. They can burn a hole from a maintenance tunnel to somewhere in the Castle Underground, however they have no idea where exactly it leads into.

You have just learned a hostile A.I exists somewhere beneath Ezelcant’s Castle. Its name is SIN and it controls robotic spiders that are known as Anansi which scout around the colony. You have yet to see one.

You have also come into the possession of 4 guard uniforms, 4 assault rifles, the ammo that goes with them, 8 Frag grenades, 4 radios and some personal effects from the Guards. The uniforms conceal your faces, so maybe Duke could come along if you wanted.

Carlos suggests that you go now during the day, using the guard uniforms to sneak into the rich section under the pretense of returning Fram. Once inside you can meet with man she claimed who could help you in regards to spreading the medicine and designs for radiation shielding. Then you can sneak your way into the castle.

Desil suggests they wait till night and use the hole in the wall entrance along with the Guard Uniforms, having Fram guide them to the man she spoke about and then allowing you to infiltrate the castle. However this has a risk of making infiltrating the castle harder since the security will probably be lesser in the day. Who else besides us would sneak in broad daylight?

You have 4 hours left till nightfall. What do you wish to do Jake? Go with Desil’s Plan, Carlo’s Plan or do you have your own plan?
>>
>>26153963
>Desil’s Plan
There will be more security but I can see to much going wrong during the day looking like we are returning Fram.
>>
>>26153963
Fuck yes, it's back.

Let's go with Desil's plan. We have 4 hours to prepare, let's see if we can gather some more info or just help these kids.
>>
If we go by day, there will be more people about, and if we go by night, we'll probably run into those robot spiders... Damn.

We have 4 hours till nightfall. Could we somehow hack into their systems and add ourselves as their guards? That way, even if we do get ID'd, we won't cause a ruckus because we don't exist as guards in their databases. And we could get Duke here, give him an extra uniform and tell him to bring along food and medicine while we're waiting for nightfall.
>>
>>26154049
>>26154072
>>26154291
You decide to wait till nightfall before sneaking into the rich sector, there will be less people and you won't have to worry about losing Fram.

While you wait you order Duke to come over with the supplies and designs you brought with you. He practically deafens you with his cheer of excitement, but you remind him to keep his head down on his way here.

As you wait for Duke to arrive you discuss with Ma G the possibility of re-entering yourselves into the system as guards.

"My prior modifications were made with out the knowledge of SIN's presence within the system. Now that I have his knowledge I can make more accurate danger assessments in regards to hacking. Any further modifications could alert SIN to my presence and in tern yours"

"So we can't add ourselves to the system?"

"I could but there would be a significant risk." Ma G explains "We were lucky before doing anything further would push our luck"

What do you wish to do Jake?
>>
>>26154687
We'll do it ourselves - get to a suitable area, hack into their systems, and add ourselves. No need to get MaG involved.
Let's go pick up Duke and give him the uniform so he doesn't stick out too much.
>>
>>26154737
You decide to meet Duke down in the maintenance tunnels, taking one of the Guard Uniforms with you along with your trusty laptop. After making your way back to the alleyway you enter the underground through the hatch you entered Vagan in the first place.

Entering the dark tunnels you quickly see Duke sprinting down the halls towards you, flashlight in hand.

"Finally! I thought I would never get off that ship!" He exclaims.

"But these on and wait while I do some work." Handing the clothes over you patch your laptop into the Vagan Network and get to work...

>26, 19, 26

You make some changes to the registry and cover your tracks the best you can. After you are finished you pack up your stuff and lead Duke back to the cellar where Desil and Carlos brief him on the situation.

There is still three hours till nightfall. Do you wish to wait those three hours or do you have anything you wish to do?
>>
>>26155920
Let's see if there's something the kids need, if they have any suggestions and so on.
We're on their turf, they know what's going on better than we do.
>>
>>26155920
Ha! Check them yourself, dice gods seem to have been going through mood swings as of late.

Fram's with us right? Chat with her, learn more about her and see if we can do anything for the kids.
>>
>>26155973
Yeah, she knows the noble quarters better than anyone. Let's ask her about the layout and who this guy we're supposed to go to is.
All the while commenting how much she reminds us of our daughter when she was that age.
>>
>>26155920
Let's see if the kids need something.
>>
>>26155946
>>26155973
>>26156368
>>26157201

(Alright, I'm just making sure. I trust you guys, but I had to ask. I guess it really just is the Dice Gods love of Jake and Co.)

You decide to talk to Fram and the other kids. You speak with the other kids and try to get more information on what's been going on around here.

Most of them don't have anything useful, however some talk about how a lot of people go missing.

"When they don't like people, they just kill them most of the time. They aren't shy about doing it." A little girl says nervously "Other people just disappear in the night..."

"Bad people?" You ask.

"Not always. Sometimes they are perfectly obedient, I've even heard some rich folk disappear from time to time..."

Noting the disappearances down you talk to Fram, holding back the urge to compare her to your daughter.

"So why did you run away from your parents?" You ask "Besides the obvious reasons of course"

"I don't want to be a soldier. My older brother Dole is a soldier and he's going to die, all soldiers die in this war eventually. I just wanted to do something simple, so I could have plenty of time to..."

"To do what?"

"Stuff. It's not important..."

"Come on, you can tell me. I mean it's not like I'm going to go gossiping it to anyway being a wanted criminal here..."

"...I wanted to do...burbbab..."

"Excuse me?"

"I wanted to be...an-an..."

The last part is barely audible but you definitely hear "artist"
(Cont)
>>
>>26157544
>artist
There was this one guy that wanted to become an artist after serving as a solider once but wasn't accepted into school. He was a dick so lets make sure Fram becomes a artist, at any cost.
>>
>>26157544
"Alright that's understandable" You say with a nod.

"What?" Fram asks, somewhat shocked.

"Yeah that's totally fine, I can understand wanting to pursue the arts. Here I can see why people would have an issue with that here but back on Earth that's not an issue."

You chat with her about the arts and Earth for a while before asking her about the layout of the Noble Quarters.

"The streets are pretty easy to navigate and there are lots of hiding places." Fram states, drawing a diagram into the dirt "There are a lot less people in the rich sector then the poor sector, more security but they usually stick close to the castle or the wall."

"Alright, so who exactly is this guy you know?"

"He's my neighbor. His name is Qu Anon and he has a wife named Zari. They are young, but Qu is a member of Ezelcant's Scientific advisory council. He does a lot of independent research, so if he comes up with a new medicine or designs for radiation shielding then he'll have an easier time introducing them without a whole lot of suspicion."

"Can he be trusted?"

"He's a pretty good guy, but I don't know. to be honest he's the best chance you have."

"What about the medicine and food?"

"We could spread them around to the other kids or leave them where the poor can find them, we'll try to split them up as best as we can."

What do you wish to do now Jake? 2 Hours left till nightfall
>>
>>26158038
What kind of madman gives his daughter a name that rhymes with his? I'm not sure we can trust this man. No, no, I shouldn't metagame. And hey, it might get us a healthy Lu by the time not!Kio encounters her.
>>
>>26158038
Bullshit with Carlos and Desil or take forty winks.
>>
>>26158038
"I trust you Fram, do what you think it's best. I'd split it among the poor - that way, it can't be traced back to you so all of you will stay safe if the guards decide to investigate where the stuff came from."
Let's help her divide the food and medicine.

>>26158099
It probably would, though this would explain how the Anons got from being a noble family to being poor in Gen-3.
>>
>>26158145
Yeah, Jake's been up for a while, hasn't he? We should at least get some rest, if not actual sleep. Let's rest a bit, and maybe chat with our team. Our group back on the ship, too. What did Duke get up to after we were done with the hacking? Is he just riding around on his Genorider giddy with the excitement of not being cramped up on the ship?
>>
>>26158255
Duke must've been itching for some excitement.
Between Daiki being suicidal, Zeal talking how much he loves blowing shit up, Alfred being boring and Rena and Jessica giggling like schoolgirls at something, he must've been bored out of his skull. That, and losing all his deodorants.
>>
>>26158346
The rest of the crew are probably equally happy to have him off the ship, too. Anyone who needs to carry that much deodorant with him at all times can't be pleasant to be in an enclosed space with.
>>
>>26158182
>>26158145
>>26158099
>>26158255
>>26158346

You chat with Desil and Carlos who are playing around with the kids. You check up on Duke who is hiding out topside and keeping watch, thankful that he's away from the ship.

"Seriously, things are very, very crazy over on the ship. I can't even work out or play ball without my deodorant." Duke complains, scratching his pits.

"Why not?"

"There's a reason why I carried that many oder eaters and deodorant sticks..." Duke stats.

You decide not to press the stinky manner any further. Going down below you divide up the medicine and food with Fram's help and then hit the hay.

Getting 2 hours of failure peaceful sleep you are shaken awake once nightfall sets in.

It's operation time. Do you want to do anything before you begin?
>>
>>26158514
Check in on the TS, and go over the plan again.

>>26158408
Yeah, most likely. Dude used to be a pro basketball player, he must be unbearable at times.
>>
>>26158514
Nop, Lets Roll.
>>
>>26158514
I'm good. Let's go see a scientist who we're almost certainly going to get killed. Just saying, Deen and Lu have to wind up orphans somehow.
>>
>>26158645
Him, Fram's brother, everyone is getting screwed. Though there's always the chance we save their ass.
>>
>>26158529
>>26158538
>>26158645
>>26158703

After reviewing the plan with Desil, Carlos and Duke you call the Treasure Star and tell Rena to get into position with the Beam Emitter.

"How is everyone?"

"Everyone is fine, Daiki's acting a little odd but I think he's just stressed out."

"Not too surprising. Just keep your eyes peeled and wait for ether a call for me or a signal. Probably something very loud and very destructive." You hang up and get to work.

Dressing in the guard uniforms and putting on the equipment you leave the safety of the cellar and enter into the night, Fram leading the way.

After passing through the drunk guy's house and going through the hidden hole in the wall you pass into the storage room of the bar and then into the bar itself. It's pretty nice and a lot of the alcohol behind the bar looks pretty interesting, some are even florescent.

Repressing the urge to sample alien alcohols you make your way out the back of the bar and hit the streets. Immediately you notice that the rich sector is MUCH nicer then the poor sector. Paved roads, proper sidewalks, buildings that while simple are at least painted and a little more elaborate. You can see why the poor want to get into the Rich Sector so bad.

You follow Fram through a maze of alley's and eventually come to the home of the Anons.

How do you wish to approach Mr. Qu?
>>
>>26159631
"I have a proposition you can't refuse."
>>
>>26159631
Let Fram handle it. He's far more likely to trust her than some guards in the middle of the night.
Once we're inside and safe, we'll introduce ourselves and offer him the data we have brought with us.
>>
>>26159674
Wait, I completely fucked that up. I blame Merc Command and his PST, 3 hours in the pass threads.
>"I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse"
>>
>>26159702
Yes, but that would involve a little girl waking up Anon-kun. Are we ready for that level of self-referentiality?
>>
>>26159848
Point taken.
So, we knock on the door, tell them that we have found a girl that's claiming to be theirs, and ask if we can come in?
>>
>>26159957
Yeah, that sounds good to me. Make sure they can see Fram while we're at it, so they don't get all suspicious of us until after we start trying to give them technological documentation.

You go to the door with Desil, Duke and Carlos with Fram in front of you so they don't immediately assume you are there to abduct them or something.

Rapping on the door you stand there until it's pulled ajar by a young brown haired man.

"Yes?" He asks, looking at the four of you with fear in his eyes.

"Sir we've recovered your daughter." You state in a thug-ish a voice as you can.

"But that's not my..."

"I think we should come inside and talk..."

He shuts the door and with a click you hear him unbolt it. He opens the door and lets the five of you inside.

Taking you into the living room you all sit down.

How do you want to handle things?
>>
>>26160438
"Mr Anon. It's a pleasure to meet you. Yazan Gable, at your service."
"Our little friend here tells me you might be interested in acquiring tech that could be used for shielding against the Mars Ray sickness, as well as medicine that should be able to slow down, if not cure, the effects of the sickness. Me and my companions here happen to be in possession of such data, and we're willing to share it with you, if you're interested in it."
>>
>>26160617
Actually, what's the chance of his house being bugged? Can we establish that this is a safe place to talk?
>>
>>26160438
"Thank you for allowing us, Mr. Anon. We know Fram is not your daughter, but she trusts you and thought you were the best man for what we're interested in. Don't worry, it's nothing illicit. Not even immoral, really. But we lack access to official channels, so we thought we'd contact you directly. We have acquired technology for both treating Mars Ray Syndrome and blocking the Rays themselves. We'd like to get these to where they can be used to benefit the Vagan people. Will you help us?"
>>
>>26160809
You decide to check things out a bit, looking under couch cushions, checking the walls, ceilings, all the nooks and cranny's any tapping bugs could be.

The whole time Qu just stands there and watches while you turn his living room inside out.

"I'm sorry but I believe this is a big misunderstanding..."

"Oh no misunderstanding I'm merely checking for bugs. Mr Anon. It's a pleasure to meet you. Yazan Gable, at your service" You remove your mask and extend a hand for him to shake.

He shakes your hand, not appearing to notice who you are...

You motion to Duke who removes the data devices from a bag along with some printed diagrams and a crate of medicine.

"What is this all about? How did you get this?" He looks everything over to make sure it's real and looks convinced but very, very confused and a little frightened.

How do you wish to explain things?
>>
>>26160954
"There is no need to be alarmed. It's simply an act of good will towards the people of Vagan. We have been informed that you're the person to talk to if we want to deliver this tech to the people who can make good use of it and benefit others. As for how did we get this, call it a combined effort of certain parties who want to see this war brought to a halt."
>>
>>26160954
"Have you ever thought about the sort of wealth the Earth Sphere possesses, Mr, Anon? It's more than they could possibly use. Just seems unfair, doesn't it? But it does mean they can't keep track of it all. So when captured Vagan medical personnel and engineers find themselves conscripted into Federation research laboratories, it's not really that hard for them to divert resources to more worthy goals than aiding their military. Of course, even if they could get past their handlers, they'd be executed as traitors long before they could explain what they were doing in Federation labs. If they wanted to get their research back to where it could matter, they'd have to employ some smuggler to leak it to someone in the technology council anonymously. And Fram seems to think you're the trustworthy sort. So will you fulfill the wish of those exiled sons of Vagan, Mr. Anon?"
>>
>>26161267
Is it smart mentioning how richer the Earth sphere is? And as for the exiled sons, I'm pretty sure they shed no tears for them - they probably hate their guts or consider them dead.
>>
>>26161451
Hey, we're not from the Earth Sphere. We're just a humble member of Vagan's criminal classes trying to do good. We service the needs of soldiers a lot, though, so we happened to be in the Earth Sphere at the time the captured scientists got out of their compound and the files got passed off to us. And why not commiserate over how unfair it is that the Earth Sphere can lord their wealth over us poor Vagans who have to devote all our resources just to be able to continue our quest for justice?
>>
>>26161539
Yeah, but we came here to spread some goodwill towards the Earth sphere, and calling them rich asses who don't notice something like this missing wouldn't help much on that front. Maybe we should insinuate that there are people over there who want to help the Vagans, and that we're a lowly Vagan smuggler who was hired by both Earthlings and captured Vagans to bring tech, food and medicine over here? That way, the Earthlings don't look like complete twats, and we stay in character as a smuggler.
>>
>>26160954
"Vagan is not the only nation that has been assaulted by the dogs of the Federation, Mr. Anon. Nor are you the only ones to conceal yourselves while you prepare to take action. In time we will make ourselves public and join you in open defiance. But, for now, it's best we stay in the shadows. Please trust that we have only the best on intentions in giving you these files. Akdamut thanks you for your cooperation."
>>
>>26161661
I suppose that would be preferable. I just couldn't think of a way to phrase "We are Earthlings who aren't jackasses" without sounding like we were trying to subvert him and turn him traitor. I figured playing on the existing beliefs would get him to trust us more easily. But yeah, if we can phrase it right we should explicitly state that we're from a faction of the Federation that wants to end the war peacefully.
>>
>>26161160
"Vagan is not the only nation that has been assaulted by the dogs of the Federation, Mr. Anon. Nor are you the only ones to conceal yourselves while you prepare to take action. In time we will make ourselves public and join you in open defiance. But, for now, it's best we stay in the shadows. Please trust that we have only the best on intentions in giving you these files. Akdamut thanks you for your cooperation." You say with a simple smile.

He seems to hesitate. After shaking his head from side to side he opens his mouth to speak but Fram stops him.

"Trust me Mr. Anon he's only trying to help..."

Qu looks at Fram and then at you. "Alright...I'll try to make as best of this as I can, but I can't come out with this all at once. We've been focusing so much on military tech we barely have anything for research into cheaper treatments and proper shielding..."

"I'm sure you'll make good use of it. As for Fram..."

"She can't stay here." He states. "She'd only be in constant danger, she'd be safer with you. If you've gotten all this I'm sure you know some good hiding places..."

"What about her parents?" Duke asks.

"Don't worry about them. They WANTED me to go..." Fram states firmly.

"Well I guess that settles it. We'll be going Mr. Anon, I apologize for disturbing you and your beautiful wife. Good luck and please make use of what we gave you..."

You leave the residence of Mr. Anon as soon as you entered them. He returns upstairs probably to return to his loving wife who did not see you or the others, probably for the best.

Once outside you look towards the castle.

"Akdamut? Really?" Carlos asks.

"What? It was the best thing I could come up with..." You state with a shrug.

"I assume we're taking the girl and the kids with us?" Desil asks.

"I'd happily leave this place behind. The others probably will be too. Where do you want us to wait?"

It's time to head towards the castle, but there is the matter of the children to consider. What will you do?
>>
>>26161793
Didn't Fram mention a brother (with a completely different family name, what's with that) that she was still in a good relationship with? He's probably in the military, but we should still check with her that he's not here.

Anyway, send Desil back with the kids to the ship. He's got the most emotional attachment to the children, and I'm not sure we want him getting within range of Ezelcant's mind control. He's had some exposure to it already, and even if that was 25 years ago we should still be as careful as possible.
>>
>>26161793
Tell them to go towards that maintenance shaft we came through. Desil can go with them - not that we don't trust him, but he could snap because of Ezelcant and risk everything..
Call Rena and Alfred to pick them up and bring them aboard the Treasure Star. If need be, they should pick up some environment suits that'd allow them to get aboard.

>>26161920
If he's around, we could try and reason with him, possibly get him and the 8 to join us.
>>
>>26162028
I assume you mean the canonical Magicians 8? Having them with us would be a very strange situation. I just can't imagine what sane Desil interacting with them would be like.
>>
>>26161920
>>26162088
"Fram what about Dole? Is here around and is he really your brother? He has a completely different last name..."

"We have different families but we are brother and sister and no, he's not here, he's in the Earth Sphere somewhere..."

"Desil go back and collect the kids. Take them back to the Treasure Star. I'll call ahead and get Rena and Alfred to get them environmental suits." You state, doing just that.

"But what about you guys?" Desil asks, looking concerned.

"We'll be OK besides...I don't want Ezelcant fucking with your mind. I trust you like a brother Desil, you basically ARE my little brother by now, but I don't think it's safe for anyone he's touched to be close to him again."

"...Fine, but if you need help I'll be the first one there." Desil states firmly before leaving with Fram.

It is time to infiltrate Ezelcant's castle! How do you wish to go about this Jake?
>>
>>26162088
I meant the Magician's 8 from our timeline - Desil's family. They have their own ship and suits, they could join us once they realize we saved their family. Then again, Zeheart is with them, and that's going to end badly, with him either killing everyone or fleeing to Ezelcant to become a psychic cyborg from Mars. And then he can fight the other psychic cyborg from Earth.

I don't know what happened to the original cast of the 8, maybe they're aboard the Downes as special shock troops or something. Dole may be somewhere around, maybe he's the chief guard at the moment, though as a X-Rounder, that's unlikely. But he'll probably join us if Fram manages to convince him.
>>
>>26162207
We're disguised as guards, let's try to blend in and find a way inside - preferably a gate through which the guards come and go.

Also, comment on how Akdamut is the story where Leviathan gets killed and if that's not foreshadowing, you don't know what is.
>>
>>26162327
You decide to approach the castle and enter it, since you are in the system after all. On the way there you explain how Akdamut is the story where Leviathan gets killed.

"How do you know that?" Duke asks.

"I get bored and visit a lot of REALLY weird threads on 3sama." You admit.

"Isn't that a little odd considering Leviathan back home?" Carlos points out.

"Oh come on Carlos, this isn't some anime. I pulled that name out of my ass, like it's going to serve as foreshadowing or something. Pffff." You shake your head and crack and amused smiling enjoying a few moments of happiness before entering the lions Den.

You make an effort to blend in, slipping into a group of guards returning from patrols. Once inside the castle you break off and hide yourselves in a side hallway.

You can look for a way into the basement or you can explore the castle a little. Remember you are here to get Desil's parents, not assassinate Ezelcant...even though that would be pretty cool now that you think about it. Like Inglorious Bastards in space. Man 1000 year old movies are just- NO. Stay focused Jake, you can think of cool stuff after this is done.

So what will you do Jake?
>>
>>26162602
Let's look around for a bit.
See if there's a terminal or something we could get into and find out more about the lower levels, maybe get a layout of the castle.
>>
>>26162684
You find a terminal and hack in but find there isn't a whole lot of information on the lower floors. Right when you are about to hack into them Ma G warns you not too.

"SIN is monitoring everything in this building most likely. I suggest you get in and out as fast as possible"

"But we don't know where Desil's parent's are being held."

"What about this?" Carlos points to a large chamber below the castle only labeled as "The Garden of Eden"

"I'd put good money something important is there." Duke states.

What will you do Jake? Go to the Garden or explore despite Ma G's warnings?
>>
>>26163032
Head to the Garden, if we see anything promising along the way we'll check that out. Not that I expect there to be big signs saying "Secret Plan For Killing Everyone" on any doors or anything like that, but you never know.
>>
>>26163032
The Vagan aren't too big on subtlety, are they?
Let's investigate. For all we know, Desil's parents are in there.
>>
>>26163121
>>26163172
You head to the basement. On the way down you have to board a few elevators, knock out a few guards, but getting down is pretty easy...almost too easy.

Eventually you reach a MASSIVE set of doors that make standard blast doors look like sheets of tinfoil by comparison. Before you can think of how to open it, the doors slowly begin to slow open themselves. As they are open your eyes go wide at what you see...

Before you is a tremendous garden filled with plants, trees and animals you've never seen before and probably don't exist in any natural environment. Along the walls of this garden are tubs containing thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of people in cold sleep.

In the center of the garden is a tree, only it appears to be anything but organic. Large green spheres hang from it's branches with odd looking shapes floating in the murky liquid inside of them.

Before the tree is a computer console built into a stone like pedestal, made to look old and ancient when really it appears to be a control for the cryopod arrangement on the walls.

There doesn't appear to be anyone around and you don't see a single camera...

What will you do Jake?

...okay then. That was not entirely unexpected, but still doesn't seem too good. Can we get a closer look at the genesis fruit or whatever those pods on the tree are?
>>
>>26163319
Investigate further, but be careful. This just screams bad shit will happen.
Let's take a look at that console - I guess that's SIN.
>>

>>26163444
You look at the console, it appears pretty normal. Examining it further you find it's a register of everyone being held in the 'garden'. Frankly it's pretty fucking scary since a lot of these people have been here for almost a hundred years...

Finding Desil's parents you punch in a few commands and have the pods brought down to you. As the pods are lowered from the ceiling by mechanical arms you walk over and look at the pods hanging from the trees.

At first you have no idea what the pods contain but then you see an arm then a leg then...an entire fetus.

"They are beautiful aren't they?" A voice booms from all directions, making you jump.

"Ezelcant..."you growl, raising your gun.

"I was so distracted by what was going on in the Earth Sphere that I had no idea you had arrived. I have no idea how you did so without me knowing but in the end it won't matter. I am safe inside the Yggdrasil Amplifier you see before you and my children inside it's fruit are safe from any weapons you carry."

"Children? They look more like clones to me." You state, ordering Duke and Carlos to begin hauling the cryopods out of here as you talk with Ezelcant.

"Quite perceptive for an Earthling. They are my clones, my children that will carry on my legacy when I pass away one day and shed my mortal coil like all the others that had to die..." Ezelcant sounds sad, but you aren't convinced for a moment.

"Had too? I'm sorry I don't know if that X-Rounder Amplifier you stuck yourself in has been fucking with your brain over the years but most of the death here has been from starvation and disease that YOU could have easily fucking fixed"

"It is all part of the plan I'm afraid. It is not something you could understand..." Ezelcant practically screams 'god complex' as he talks making you laugh.

"Really? That's how you are going to justify this? Let me guess, you've been lying to everyone and you are planning some bullshit 'too deep for you' plan involving forcing humanity to evolve through a horrific war where the survivors will build a superior society? That's the most cliche shit I've heard since I don't know, EVERY SCI-FI VILLAIN EVER!" You scream, wishing you had SpaceTropes to read from.

"I'm not lying at all. I have been rooting out the weak! I have been sparing millions of my own people by ending their lives. Death is only the beginning. Those who die will find peace where they cannot, those who live will remain and breed, making the superior Vagan race you see before you. Faster, stronger, smarter, with a high X-Rounder potential then any Earthling. You all believed we were aliens…and you were right. We are no longer human, we are Vagan! I am the father of a new race, a superior race! Once you Earthlings are exterminated, my children will fine peace and there will be no more need to eliminate the weak as I have painfully chosen to allow."

"Ezelcant you surprised me...for a while I was worried you might actually be a sane and understandable human being that I might have qualms about killing. I'm quite happy to say that you are Co-Co for Cocopuffs and I will be quite happy when I come back here and kick your ass."

"I will allow you to leave, but your ship will not leave this colony intact." Ezelcant booms with mocking laughter.

What will you do Jake?
>>

>"I will allow you to leave, but your ship will not leave this colony intact."
Acceptable. I'll just take one of your ships then.
>>
>>26163830
"No, you won't do that. And the reason why is really simple."

"You want to create a superior race through conflict. That's what this whole war was about - not avenging wrongs, returning people to their home or something similar. You could've easily wiped out the entire Federation some 30 years ago, but instead of that, you always left a chance for the other side to succeed. Your plans were deliberately flawed, simply so the war could drag on, creating more men and women who live simply for the sake of the conflict."

"And if you destroy the ship or let me here, you're robbing yourself of a worthy adversary, something necessary for any conflict. You're basically shooting your own philosophy in the foot by leaving us stranded here."

"Let us go, with the Galettes, and the ship, and you will have the best conflict this God-forsaken system has ever seen. It's what you always wanted, isn't it."

>>26163953
The ship is a time machine. If he gets his hand on that, we're screwed.
>>

>The ship is a time machine. If he gets his hand on that, we're screwed.
He's implying that he's going to blow up our ship for us. I believe.
>>
>>26163830
"Can you please tone down the laughter? I know you can do it, you don't act like this in your public announcements. What, have you just bottled it all up and are happy to get a chance to monologue? I can't see any other reason to let me in here like this.

"Anyway, how is this going to work? You don't know where my ship is. Are you just going to have your men follow me back to it or some such business? Because if so, you're not going to like what you find. I'm just as crazy as you are, old man. I've got a hundred voices in my head whispering ideas to me at all times. You think none of them thought of how to deal with this?"
>>
>>26164279
Even worse. We don't know what will happen if the ship gets blown up - it may as well open a black hole or summon Elder Gods to rape reality.

You can almost hear Ezelcant smiling. "You are better then I imagined Mr. Crocker. I hope you and your family survive this war, you will be a voluble asset for the genes of the new Vagan Race. Once I see that the new race is ready to claim the world we will exterminate the Earth Federation and Humanity will be reborn anew..."

"I've fucked with people's expectations so far and I'm sure as hell going to fuck with yours. Think whatever you want Ezelcant, I assure you in the end you are going to be stopped and if you think I'm foolish your wrong. I'm smart and near stark crazy and if you push me I'll show you just how crazy I can be..."

-------------

You make your way back to the ship with Duke and Carlos, along with Desil's parents in Cryostasis pods. As you arrive on the bridge Daiki spins around in the captain's chair and shouts

"We have a problem!"

"What problem? There's no one attacking u-" You look up to see a massive black machine crawling along the outside of the colony, headed right for the Treasure Star...

(This is where I will stop things. That's a good cliff hanger, but I want to wrap this up. Next will be 41.4 and there is I'm going to employ that will make a lot of you quite happy in regards to a character I fooled you all into believing I misused...)

Fun as always, man. See you next time.

Thank you all for questing! See you next time!

"Quick question: how are you going to exterminate the Earthlings if your new race is incapable of conflict? Practical considerations demand that they have just as much atavistic intent to kill and exploit as any Earthling, if they're going to get the job done. Seems like kind of a flaw in your plan. Are you sure you're not just deluding yourself about the viability of this? I mean you're what, ninety years old? And your diet at this point has to contain a fair amount of human meat. Maybe you've just got Cruetzfeld-Jakobs Disease with all the progressive brain damage that implies.

"By the way, I'm not sure how well you can monitor the minds of your agents in the Earth Sphere, but were you even watching Zeheart? That boy just isn't right. Kid was going to destroy Earth's biosphere completely, that can't be good for your plan. Seriously, consider getting him some therapy instead of just mind crushing him every time he acts up."
>>
>>26164456
Oh god. What's going to happen with Daiki? What's going to happen with Daiki, Crosswire? You said it will make us happy. So he'll be happy and fun again, right? It's not going to turn out to be somehow worse than we could ever have imagined, but still managing to affirm the old character concept, that would be silly. Right?

Unless it's not Daiki. But I can't think of any other characters we thought you misused. Zeheart, maybe, but that seems kind of spurious. Man, I don't know. All I know is that shit's about to get real. See you next time. Should be a fun ride.
>>
>>26164415
So we have a possibly insane AI piloting the most advanced suit in both systems, a quite insane dictator with a God complex and we're stuck on a time machine that can't be damaged or it will end up messing with the entire time-space continuum. We're so screwed.

>>26164721
Relax, it's time for Daiki to have something to fight for. This time, he'll do it for all the kids.
