That'll tell you more than you wanted to know.

Basic rules still apply (Grey Box): Roll d20: Highest dice roll out of the first three rolls is used for the Dice Check (DC), while all three rolls are averaged to determine other internal factors, if applicable. Natural 20’s and Critical Failures (1) supersede all other rolls made.

Roll d100: d100’s are used for different factors, the most applicable of which will be listed at the call for the roll. High is always better.

Rolling for Time: When asked to roll for time, the first roll response will be used, with additional rolls used as necessary. This is the only time low rolls are desired.

NewType powers, since they are plot breaking, will be based on a point system.
For every natural 20 you roll, you'll get .5 NTP. If you roll an 11 on a d20, it will be worth .25 of a NTP. Double rolls on a D100 will also garner .25 NTP.

You can exchange 1 NTP for an automatic critical success / plot breaking idea. You can also exchange 1 NTP to reduce an opposing main character's plot armor by 1/4 or 1/2 on any actions you take against them - the amount reduced will be situational, and depend on what you're planning on doing.

He quickly pulled the items he’d need from his kit bag and set to work.

Upon entering the cargo bay, he was greeted by the sight of a treaded... excavator? It had similar lines to a Magella Attack Tank, but the skirt armor had been removed, and square tubing lined the barrel, hiding it from view. A long boom arm was tucked under the barrel, hiding the machine gun pintle mount from view. Needless to say, the wings and top compartment amour had been removed to further the disguise, and the Pezun techs were still busy with finalizing the disguise.

Had he not known what it had been, it would be difficult to tell this piece of machinery was still ready for war.

We have one Squads worth of Zudahs, correct?

If memory serves, Squad One (Jean's squad) would use the Zakus, while Squad Two (Lourie's squad) Would use the Zudahs (Lourie in the Triple Z, Pamila and Marylin in the ZuZaks and Wyatt in the Solar Job)
So, Louries Squad should run tests with the Zudahs to get used to operating with them...
Then we can Drop in on the Squad Leaders to inform them of the new schedule.

Do we know that Char's been reassigned to Riah by now? Bright isn't the sort to make a plan hinging on having backup from the Falmel, so we can probably get away with planning around it not being there, but it would be convenient for our planning to know for sure.

Speaking of Char and "Bright", is Char in on our secret like it's implied Zena and maybe(?) Dozle are? If we're going by the Origin manga where Char is an actual person who Casval stole the identity of, that would also mean that Char was friends with him back on Texas Colony. It hasn't been that long since he last saw Edward Mass. Then again, Casval is a master of disguise, so maybe he really doesn't know.

Bright decided to exit the cargo bay before the techs tried to capture him, as he was still wearing the appropriated EFF uniform. Stopping by his room, he quickly changed back into his Zeonic Major's uniform before taking the ring elevator down to the CIC, which was Jane's usual haunt.

Sure enough, he found her there, going over some of the more important parts of espionage with Mohai, whose hair was now tinted a nice shade of coal black. "How's the brief going?" Bright asked as he came to rest by Mohai, grabbing the table to keep him floating there.

The larger man shrugged, looking a bit miserable. "I think I'm a bit too honest for this kind of work, sir. But, I'll manage. Most of it's going to be wither this Sharp fellow had friends on Side Seven or not. Jane tells me the first five minutes upon meeting a 'assumed identities acquaintance' is the most dangerous time."

Jane nodded, speaking before looking up at Bright. "Statistically speaking, that's about as long as it takes for a poor disguise or a bad actor to be detected, Cap-" She stopped, her eyes going wide at the sight of his appearance.

And here I thought he was just acting suspicious about the issue of Dr. Minovsky's "death". Retrospection does make that seem much more meaningful. It also explains why he was poking fun at Bright, if he was pretty sure this guy was his old friend Edward. Nice foreshadowing.

"For the time being, I should get Lourie, Pamila, Marylin, and Wyatt in the remaining Zudah's while we still have time in Loum," Bright said as he turned to head toward the comm on the far wall. Jane's arm snaked out, lighting fast, and grabbed his hand, stopping him. Bright turned to look at her, noticing Mohai doing his best to read the dossier and pretend nothing out of the ordinary was happening.

"I mean it this time," Jane said sternly.

"Relax," Bright said, with a small smile. "She's a big ship, but I can't up and disappear on you."

Jane let him go, and he resumed his heading to the comm. panel. Once there, he contacted the pilot's ready room and ordered the pilots he had mentioned, along with Jean and Chance to sortie in their Zaku's.

"Wait. You're LETTING me play 'Hide And Seek With Guns'? Really?" Jean asked.

"Yes...?" Bright hazarded.

He pulled the phone away from his ear as a resounding whoop blasted out of the speaker, followed by Jean shouting to Chance to 'get his gear, its rabbit season!'

"Yes sir!" Ezra said, a slight amount of cheer creeping into her tone. "I'll be there."

"Yo, Ez! Suited up?" Chance asked as he donned his helmet. "Why for?"

"Cap'n said I could kick all your asses," Ezra said confidently as she ducked into the MS-05.

"Oh, it is ON, kiddo," Jean snarled half heartedly as his Zaku II was grabbed by the docking arm and tossed into space. "See you on the field!"

Ezra booted up the Airborne's systems, and paused to tack a small photo to the dashboard as she did so. "C'mon, Elsa. Let's show them what you can do."

Bright hung the phone up and gestured to Jane. "There. I'm all yours."

She nodded, excused herself from Mohai. Linking her arm around Bright's, they carefully made their way to his quarters. Once inside, Jane pushed him against the door, holding him at arms length as she said simply, "Where were you on May Fifteenth, UC Double Oh Sixty Eight?"

"At my father's funeral," Bright said, his face flinching with recalled emotional pain, "In Leeds, England. My family was on a business trip from Hong Kong, and he was hit by a lorry, or whatever they call those large trucks that carry fuel in England, while trying to cross a road. Foolish way to go, my mother said," Bright told her.

At his first remark she moved as if to restrain him, but as he continued she seemed to be holding herself in check. "Wait. Then the hair?"

"It's dyed," Bright said confidently. "I picked up more than battlefield tactics and fleet movements from old Jimba Ral, you know. That man was my favorite instructor at ESCDATA, treated me as well as his own son."

"Then your long breaks from ESCDATA were...?"

Bright raised an eyebrow at her. "Guerilla tactics training with Ramba and miss Hamon. What? You think I'd skip my lessons for anything other than expert training?"
Jane took her hand off of Bright's chest, and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Then you're wearing color corrective contacts? Show me," she said as he nodded.

Bright held up his hands. "May I wash first? Contacts, dirty hands, eye infections?"
She sat down on his bed and waved towards his restroom. "Fine."

Bright quickly entered, washing his hands, and removing from under the soapdish the waterproof container with the emergency pair of blue and brown contacts. With the speed and ease of a long master, he surreptitiously opened the case and slid the brown contacts back in, pantomiming placing them into the holder for the blue ones. He turned to see her staring at him, but he knew the angle in which she sat, let alone stood, would not have allowed her to see his actions in the mirror.

Not with how he had held himself to block her view, that is. He had spent enough time checking over this room to know that as a certainty.

He offered her the fake blue set, and she took them while confirming the change in his eye color. She breathed out a sigh of relief. "Thank god. For a minute there I was certain you were Casval Rem Daikun."

"I usually get mixed up as 'That guy who looks like Char Aznable'. 'You're the missing Zeon heir' is a new one on me," Bright said as cheerfully as he could. "And if I wasn't able to convince you I wasn’t a Daikun? What then?"

"I can't talk about that," she said softly.

"Not even after nearly..?" The look she gave him was a cross between an order for him to stop, and a plea that he not tread down that path. Bright blew out a sigh as he sat next to her, the thin mattress sinking, forcing them to touch shoulders in silence. After a long moment, he finally said, "Guess not. And now?"

"And now I could use a drink," she said, eying the bottle of Luna single malt Jimba had given him upon graduating from ESCDATA.

"Hey, that was a gift from Jimba Ral," he said, attempting to lighten the mood.

"I know," she said. "I read the card."

Bright paused at that. When had she..?

Bright slowly got up off the bed and headed for the bottle of single malt, breaking its exile by placing two glasses on the table beside it. The sharp clink of ice, and the soft scrape of the metal cap as the threads worked loose was all the sound in the room, save a soft rustling, which ended as Jane pressed herself to him from behind, her arms wrapping about his waist.

He made to say something, but Jane silenced him by making a soft shushing sound, pressing her face close against his back. "Just let me stay like this a while?"

Bright allowed it, pouring his own drink in silence.

At some point, she pulled away from him, holding her hand out and shaking her head when he gestured towards the bottle. "I think I should pass. I probably wouldn't leave tonight, if I indulged myself."

"This afternoon's been a bit... rough on us, hasn't it?" Bright asked softly.

She nodded, holding herself. "Though I intend to go to sleep early, and pretend none of this happened today."

"None of it?"

Blushing, she made towards the door, "Good night, Bright."

But he caught her hand, and slipped it under the crook of his arm. "I am both an Officer, and a Gentleman. I shall not allow a lady to walk unescorted after a difficult time."

"Even if you were the cause of it?"

"Perhaps especially after," Bright said with a wry smile.

They parted company at her quarters, and Bright returned to his own. He closed the door and locked it, finally allowing himself to relax a little.

She had known, but then believed his lie. Or at least seemed to be offset by it enough to not suspect him outright. "Careful, Noah!" Bright chided himself. "Don't slip up now."

We nearly had a fatal accident with the Zudah Bunker, can the techs Afro Engineer up a safety measure encase we need to swiftly eject another 135mm?

We could use two bungie tethers to attach the rifle to the bunker wall, like a sling. To eject the rifle, the mobile suit using it just lets go, so it can fly out the window.

As an added bonus, this should mitigate recoil, allowing for greater accuracy. Because this is Gundam, and the Bungie Gun is too silly not to work extremely well.

Twenty minutes later, bright had himself calmed down and collected enough to resume his duties. He unlocked his door and began sorting through the various duty reports on his computer.

An hour into this, his door chime rang. Distracted he called out, "Enter."

Felix Ceff slammed the door open with his foot, causing Bright to snap his attention to the scientist. What he saw was a pile of papers, rolled blueprints, and legs. "I've had the most wonderful idea!" the pile quipped.

Bright groaned.

The old man sorted his gear on Bright's desk, and began cheerfully telling him about his plans on improving the Siegfried.

Bright raised a hand to stop Ceff's constant rambling before pointing to the blueprint containing plans to upgrade the power distribution system using capacitors taken from the sunken Salamis cruiser 'Nero'. "So, this will reduce the power draw, and enable the Mega-Particle Cannons to continue fire while deploying the Zudah's?"

"Well, you might not want to fire directly over the top of the bay while you've got Zudah's popping out, but yes - you'll still be able to fire on targets from the side and if you want to wait, you can resume firing as soon as the Zudah's are clear and the bay doors are shut. Not a lot of EM shielding in there."

"Alright, do it," Bright ordered.

Ceff grinned. "Excellent. I just need you to sign here, here and here, and borrow the Balls for a few hours."

"We're leaving Loum tomorrow," Bright said as he signed off on the paperwork. "This upgrade isn't going to take the MPCs offline, is it?"

"The Zudah bay will be offline for twenty three hours, and it'll be another two while we test the capacitors for load limits with the electrical draw," Ceff said as he gathered the rest of the papers and plans up and grabbed them into a precarious pile. "But, you'll still have your cannons throughout. And when I'm done with this, I'll come back with more science!"

"Is that a threat?" Bright asked as he pushed the other man gently out the door.

Ceff paused and said, "Maybe?"

Bright shut the door on him and went back to work. Another hour passed, before Mohai called him up to report the Mobile Suits had returned from their training exercises. "Both Jean and Lourie report no issues with the machines, and that the group training went well. Ezra surprised Lourie a few times, and managed to paint the Triple twice. Jean requested further training tomorrow, before we pull out of Loum. Which brings up the issue of who's being left in charge while we're on the fake 'Nero'," Mohai said, evidence of some trepidation in his tone.

"I've given some thought on that," Bright informed him.

"And? Who do I break the good news too?" Mohai asked.
