You are the Vasto Lorde Arrancar Risa Schrödinger. You have gone under cover in soul society in order to kill the soul king and slaughter order itself because of a plant. You just finished killing an afro shinigami, slaughtering the group of cadets he was with in a slow mind game in revenge for a plant hollow. You also sang while doing it, so that's a thing. You are currently standing over the blackish stain on the ground which was once a man who stole everything from you during a time which we all forgot. It is night, and the gentle cry of cicadas is the only sound through the area, the nearby wooded area likely full of the creatures. You feel the remains of your mask shift and slip away, then run your tongue over your sharp teeth. There is a distinct metallic taste on your tongue and a sickly sweet irony smell filling your nose.

You lift a finger and wipe your nose, rubbing your index and thumb together after and noting the sticky crimson binding between them. Blood. You are uncertain if the nose bleed is a side effect of your momentary total lapse in sanity or if your body has begun breaking down for reasons you can't explains. You think on it for a moment and remember the times your monologue has gotten out of hand and your nose started bleeding.

Your already pale skin goes a shade whiter as you glance up at the star filled sky. "Monologue?" You ask aloud, yet a deafening silence is all you get in reply.

Panic crosses your features as you look at the destroyed street, the slowly elongating shadows making you break out in a cold sweat at your isolation. "Inventory?" You ask, believing that perhaps you are not as totally alone as you thought. Hopeful that the voices which are usually within reach will be there still.

Once more, silence is your only answer. Something is wrong, something must be very wrong indeed for both to have gone silent after your little fit. You reach into your inventory intent on getting a Swedish fish to snack on. You put the red gummy in your mouth and bite down, quickly spitting out the spicy sweet snack. You look at the gored gummy where you spat it on the ground and then reach for another Swedish fish. You look at your open hand and instead of a sweet Swedish snack there is a little red bear in your hand. A cinnamon bear. You pause as the implications of this fact sink in.

"I see. I have no idea what this means." You note to the dead silence of night.

You clear your throat and put on your ornate tricorn hat before looking around the area. People will eventually find them, you decide, you should just probably be somewhere else before they do. You finish using the bodies to create a decoratively macabre modern art piece before leaping onto the roof of a nearby warehouse and extending your senses. Ryoko is still in recovery, Akira is being a ninja, while Ryouichi and Ran are sneaking under the city. You widen your mental search parameters and find there is a large spirit pressure in the woods nearby, the fourth division captain is at the medical barracks, and the rest of the captain level energies are further into the city proper.

You decide to explore. You wander the labyrinth section of the soul society, wondering who the hell would create a city like this. It's like they want to make people get lost, which would of course be useful for a city which was constantly under attack or something, but they really aren't Hollows can't even get in there so what sort of war are the getting ready for? "Your thoughts?" You ask no one in particular.

Receiving no reply you let out a sigh and wipe your nose again, another faint trickle of blood flowing. You swear as you wipe your face, leaving a sticky crimson trail around your mouth and on your cheek. The hell is going on? You manage to land near the forest without alerting the large spiritual force in there and feel yourself gasping for breath. You feel your body tremble in pain for a moment before your arm starts to crack and pulse like a thousand eels were swimming just below the surface of your skin. You clench your fist and feel your body start to calm down, your internal organs giving small twists at the end as if in protest of being held together.

You cough for a few seconds before looking up and seeing...

You decide you need a nap, because god damn a nap sounds good right about now. You make your way along the streets and eventually find yourself in one of the warehouses you saw before. Your body aches, and a dull red haze is clouding your vision. Probably the cinnamon bear. Cinnamon bear is awful tier. You fall into a sack containing what looks like cloth of some sort and feel your body heave and reject the contents of your stomach.

You throw up and fall asleep.

You dream...

A white hot spike of pain is thrust into your spine when all you really wanted to do was be tall. You cero it, and nothing happens, so you be taller. It hurts worse than anything you can imagine, but at once you feel a massive surge of power flow into you, if only the bastard wasn't so damn bright when they did it. You feel tumblers on a lock in your mind you never knew existed, the gateway to something called a vasto lorde becoming a possibility, a potential for humanity. Honestly all you want to do is cero and be tall and kick not so tall things. The scene shifts. You are laying with half your face torn off in the forest of menos, strong but not as strong as you could be when a second point of light is stabbed into the first. Your smile continues to widen as your body surges and snaps in the strain of the added power. Something has changed, the power surges freely in you. Hidden and molding you to be the best you can be.

You awaken covered in a cold sweat. You look over at where you vomited and- ew, seriously?

"Monologue!" You shout happily, the joy in your heart, or hollow thingy similar to a child who has lost their way. Been a while since you've woken up in a pool of your own vomit, huh?

You are about to continue with your swearing when you hear a distant explosion from within Soul Society. You kick open the warehouse door and see a massive column of smoke from the center area of the Soul Society. You dash through the streets and skip over buildings and find yourself staring at a group of people wearing wooden shoulder badges. You one of them, the woman from the second division who you think might actually be a stripper of some sort, is holding her sword out and glaring at a man with a cool expression on his face.

"-Say that again Katsura, I'll shove this up your ass!" The second division LT growls while being held back by a gentle looking LT from the eight division.

"I shall say it as many times as necessary. The fault rests with the second division. If they had taken better care of the intruders there would not have been an incident like this. Due to negligence, I can only assume the captain wished for the incident to occur. Espionage and terrorist activities fall under your jurisdiction, thus it is only reasonable that anti terror activities are also under your jurisdiction" Katsura explains and you notice something off about his voice.

"You creepy cock sucker, get over here and I'll show you who's at fault!" The second LT growls swinging her sword wildly. You look over the damaged area where the explosion came from and see it lead to some sort of vault, though you can't get close enough to see so you hide behind a corner and just keep your ear open.

"Now, now, we shouldn't get so worked up, right? What happened, happened. We should think about how to fix the problem rather than assigning blame. Right Manami?" The woman asks, letting the second division LT go.

"Ahhh, fine Natsuki! Only because you are so lovely. Hey, hey, be my wife." Manami smiles grabbing onto the gentle looking woman's arm.

You leap back from the wall and away from where the LTs would see you and see a teenaged man standing there with black hair, green eyes, a small sword in his belt and a white jacket. He blinks as you stare at each other and then gives and easy smile and a wave. "Yo!" He grins.

You stand lost for a few seconds before raising your hand. "Yo." You reply and he continues grinning as he lowers his hand and puts his arms in his sleeves, probably crossing his arms. You stare at each other as the LTs continue arguing and you use that moment to get a better look at him.

He is just a bit shorter than you with long hair tied back in a pony tail and long hair on the side of his face he keeps wrapped tight. He doesn't seem ready to attack, but you note you can't really pick up his spirit signature. You get a bit nervous and then glance over at the LTs and back to him. "I'm just, um, rumor hunting you could say." You explain and he tilts his head in curiosity. "I was messed with by the intruders, so I wanted to find out what was gong on and, eh..." You blink when he shows no signs of caring.

"Why are you telling me?" He asks still grinning.

Tell him you feel guilty. "I feel guilty very easily and then make excuses till I cry." You offer and he just grins wider.

"Don't mind!" He tells you before peeking around the corner again and you see on his back he is in charge of the second division. "Man, so scary~ I really don't want to get in the middle of that. Ah, but Katsura shouldn't make Manami mad. Though with Natsuki there things should work themselves out, maybe I won't have to do anything." He mutters.

Deciding to peek with him you almost jump as you hear someone call from behind you two.

"Captain Fuma!" The masculine voice calls out.

"Hm?" He turns and walking over to him is a middle aged looking man. His hair is a dark grey, likely from age, and he has a certain softness you don't really expect with the shinigami so far. He wears a white jacket with the symbol for the Tenth division on his back. He has his sword held clumsily on his waist and he seems to be a bit like a too jovial uncle.

He walks off content and the LTs have split into groups and wandered off to do their jobs. You start walking around the interior, sensing the location of your scrubs. They are not close, though interestingly Ran and Ryouichi are walking right in the direction of a Lieutenant, the gentle looking woman from earlier. You find a kitchen and a bottle of vinegar and store it in your inventory for later pranking.

You sniff around the area and smell a strong, odd strength near the center of the buildings, near a giant white tower which is noticeably vacant of any smell.

The scrubs need to learn how to fight on their own, you rationalize, also you are pretty sure that meeting a monster is way more fun than having to deal with Ryouichi. Besides, if you see him now you will just remember how much he sucks, and that would put a damper on your day. You dash through the giant white phallic buildings, making snide remarks at each one because we need a hobby god damn it and find yourself before a massive set of stairs. Fuck. You start up them at a good pace, but half way through you get winded. Half way of that half you begin coughing. Half of that you nearly vomit from your exhaustion. At half of that you get sick of their bullshit and just jump the rest of the way because some how that is easier for us. You run along the pristine ruined buildings and wonder how they keep it so clean, before you finally stop in front of the largest tower there, connected to the outlying buildings by a narrow bridge. You see a figure sitting down in front of the massive stone door and-

He glances up at you as you stand across the bridge from him and you feel a strong wave of energy wash over you. "Who are you?" He calls out, and you get the feeling something is off. He has a large butcher's cleaver over his shoulder and has a certain intensity about him.

You decide that is probably cool enough for now and fighting this guy would sort of be a pain in the ass, so you let it go with a shrug. Deciding you have nothing else better to do you chase after Akira, even though you could totally have found a library. Or looked for clues about Jager's problem. I am so telling on you. "No your not." You state as you extend your senses and shift through the area. You feel where akira's trail goes cold within the inner city and up the stairs to... well, that's not good. You run through the streets and buildings, finally jumping up onto the roof around where he is and see him leaning against a wall, a twisted and wrong eye on his forehead wide and glancing around, taking in all knowledge around him as food and broadcasting a deadening field, however the woman in front of him doesn't seem to care. "I'm sorry. Anything my sword cuts is remembered and able to be tracked, no matter who they are or where they are. Please, surrender." She asks and you see Akira give a smile.

"Well, I would really like to, but if I did that eggnog would get a price hike, so I am afraid I can't yet." He explains.

"You are being very brave young man using humor to mask your fear is brave. But if you don't give up I will have to kill you. I really don't want to." She explains.

"I could go for some eggnog." You note. Me too.

"Surrender huh. Hold on, time is in flux." He scratches his head as a second pupil opens on his eye, making the original one shift to the side so it looks like two half lidded eyes.
