You are Vasto Lorde Arrancar Risa Schrödinger, also probably a doctor of something, and you just fell right into a trap! Well, fall into isn't exactly the best turn of phrase, more like you sort of willingly entered it as it would allow you to enter soul society proper. You are currently standing just inside a check in station within the shinigami portion of the city. Around you are two shinigami guards going purple in the face as they press their swords into your flesh, yet fail to cut you as your Hierro makes you a touch too strong. You clear your throat before looking at the two guards and the sitting down Kuchiki who lured you in here, his dark eyes wide in shock. "Now, I am certain you are all wondering why I called you here." You start off.

"Wh-what?" The young Kuchiki whose name you can no longer remember because of scrub status asks guiltily.

You brush the swordsmen aside, their hands bleeding from the force they were using on their own swords and you step out of the wreckage of their cart thingies. Damn human powered cart thingies, least they could do is get a proper carriage, with like, soul horses or something. "It has come to my attention that some one in this esteemed group has done something bad." No doubt. "They have used work computers for illegal operations, ones our company does not support in the least." Moose tipping. "I called this meeting because I want the accused to step forward on their own without having to drag this out." Be a man, come on. "Now I know this is shocking, but if you comply there will be pie." Wolf flavored pie.

The trio stare at you before one of them shouts something about lightning and a small bolt of electricity slams into your body. Soul body. What ever. You ignore it and frown as the lightning harmlessly slams against you and scatters. "I am well aware of how terrifying moose's are, and how much fun tipping them can be." Since we were the ones who tipped them and this meeting is just to pass blame.

A shinigami tries to slice into you again, but a swift slip and kick to the head drops him. The second lets out a yell before charging at you to slice downwards as well, but you easilly catch the sword before punching him in the face and knocking him out too. Now how do you-" You start, but the sound of a wooden tablet being hit over and over again draws your attention. "Bit loud, innit?" You comment. Actually, I think that is an alarm. Okay, look, I guess the kid tipped them off we were on our way, right? So just-

"I'll... I'll pay you! The Kuchiki clan can give you anything you want, so just let me go!" Daiki? Yeah, that sounds close whimpers as you consider solid alarm based construction.

"Sorry, what?" You ask, and- lo! There in the distance! Do you hear that my son? "I'm a girl." There, to the east! "Don't think Soul society has a geomagnetic north so saying east is a bit..." The sound of baying wolves! "No, I really don't Sort of have an animal theme today, huh?" Draw forth your sabre and ready yourself, for the great wolves are used by the orcs as mounts! Their teeth can rip muscle from bone and- "Wait, I hear people coming, is that what you mean?" You ask, finally getting it.

"What?" Daiki asks, fear forcing him to tremble as he starts trying to crawl away from you.

You have trained your whole life for this by being British maybe. A swift blow to the back of the head for Daiki, coupled with a quick change of clothes and the hiding of a near naked shinigami allow you to disguise yourself as one of the annoying soul reapers. You put your sheathed khopesh around your waste, a helpful leather strap in your inventory making it easier, and finish putting out a soul signature of a nofunigami as well when a group of them approach you finish your disguise by looking worried at the down Daiki.

"What happened here?" One of the dozen or so shinigami asks as they approach, and you shake your head. "I don't know. The Kuchiki clan member here said he had captured some outsiders and sent word to be ready. When I got here my partner and the young kuchiki were badly injured!" You explain and the guards spread out, fanning the area. Luckily you managed to hide the knocked down prisoner well, and see the lead swear a little before firing a bolt of energy into the air, a streaming bright blue which makes the wooden alarm return in more intensity

"Look we need you to get out of here and go report to base, we will handle the guard operations during the course of our investigation" The large flat topped man commands but you shake your head, your long dark violet hair swishing behind you.

"It's totally my job to take care of guarding! You can't just take my job away like this." You point out, totally selling the idea you want to be there.

"I can and I will, you authority ended when you failed to stop the trespassers from entering soul society! Now we have a giant fubar situation on our hands because you couldn't do your one job so your authority ends where I say it does!" He commands puffing out his chest.

"Right, um, huh." You stare at her strangely for a few moments and she finally laughs.

"You aren't seated right? Once you become seated you can customize your uniform quite a bit. The stockings and glasses are the major charm point!" She points out adjusting her rims.

"I, uh, I see." You explain before letting kuchiki go, trying to taint him with a small drop of insanity go juice as you leave.

"Be careful on your way back!" She waves, and you see the symbol on her armband is... oh you are expecting me to know? Fine, uh, two I guess? Yeah, two seems right. You walk down the street towards the large white towers int he center of the soul society, assuming likely with some accuracy, that the giant phallic buildings are where the important people are going to hang out in. You pause after rounding a corner and extend your senses. You feel Ryouichi and ran are in combat with shinigami, while Akira and Ryoko seem to be sneaking around carefully, his intuition likely being useful in these matters. The twincies are also sneaking, but much faster, and seemingly with purpose. They do not seem to be in any real danger, but they also have not fought anyone with the go juice the girl your monologue still thinks it is best to kill, so that's a thing.

You close your senses off, and look around, the Japanese styled buildings and walks sort of irritating you for reasons you can't explain. You casually walk down the confusing streets and find that, for some reason, more than half of them just sort of end in dead ends, like it is a labyrinth. Actually that is a bit too accurate to keep me comfortable, keep your eyes open for the minotaur.

You finally manage to get your bearings.

Since then you have heard an alarm go off, and have started sneaking around the twisting corridors of Soul society with Akira leading the two of you. You take a deep drag of your cigarette and frown.

"This sucks. This really sucks. Here we are having to hide in store rooms and sneak around because why? 'Oh, it's the right thing to do!' I swear to god I liked Ryouichi better when he was just annoying as opposed to actively trying to get us all killed for stupid shit." You grumble as you sit on your suitcase.

'Well, you could have always said no." Akira points out as he relaxes in a corner, using his shirt to try and block the smell of cigarettes.

"We can't stay here." You point out and start looking for a way out of the building. Eventually you find a small piece of the back wall is broken off and slip through. It takes some work but your suitcase manages to slip in behind you as well and you make a run for it before they can open your warehouse. You run through the twisting streets, trusting Akira's sense of direction more than anything else, and eventually find yourself at a form in the road. You can go forward, left, or right. You consider what to do when you finally hear a voice. "Seems my fortune was right after all." A collected male voice calls from above. You look up at the high walls and see sitting on the roof is a shinigami with long hair and messy bangs.

In an instant he vanishes and is now standing in the front most path. His speed is similar to the jerk ass twincies who Risa always calls creepy and you take a step back. "Your fortune?" You ask, clearing your throat.

"This morning's paper said if I took what life gave me I would have some pretty good luck. So, you have three options!" He declares proudly holding up his hand with his first three fingers extended. "You can run away, then I catch you and kill you, you can fight me, then I beat you and kill you, or you can surrender, and then I capture you and eventually kill you, what's it going to be?" He asks and you see Akira look nervous. If sensei were here she would probably make a comment on soul reapers having a news paper.

"He's pretty strong. We should probably run different directions, that way at least one of us can get away." He explains.

He gives a casual slash of his sword and the contents of the care spill out onto the street below, but you were expecting that. You have already charged behind the case and throw out a punch which seems to shock the man. He manages to side step your attack and slash at you. You roll away, but are forced to grunt as white hot pain opens up on your side and a dark red splotches on your shirt.

Akira throws one of his knives at the man and it almost seems to catch him, but he uses that quick step to avoid it once more before appearing behind Akira and kicking him in the small of his back and into the wall.

He lets out a sigh as you cough, the pain from the wound making you breathe in labored gasps. "Ah, the husky sound of a woman panting in pain. There is nothing quite like it in the whole of the universe. I got to say, I am so happy you chose to attack. The feeling of cutting and slicing is just, ahhhh, to die for."{ He lets out a breath as he walks over to you.

He tries to stab down, but you kick in in the ankle and roll away, standing on your feet as you eye him from a meter or so away.

You aim for the legs. You rush him at your maximum speed in order to try and catch him off guard, but before you can plant a kick firmly in his knee the wound screams out in pain making you flinch. He uses that opening to slash downwards and give you a new wound on your chest. It would have bisected you, but luckily your training with sensei also covered the most important aspect of all, dodging, so you ended with only a deep cut. You feel the warm sticky life force pool out of you as you stagger back. You pick up a hair brush which was with all the items you had strewn about the floor but he just deflects the brush.

He slowly closes in and you hear Akira shout something and cough, but nothing comes of it as the man with poor dental hygiene delivers a strong kick to your open wound and sends you sprawling back, a scream on your lips that you don't let free as to not give him the satisfaction.

You break open the top of one of the bottles of mead laying on the floor, no time to pull the cork and drink the mushroom down, small bits of glass cutting open the inside of your mouth like the edgy mcedgerson you are. You feel the drink burning as it goes down with the mushroom, then a haze as your body tries to reject it, yet can't and then a surge of fury as the world goes a bright white.

"What the hell?" You hear the poor hygined nofunigami ask, and then you puch out, your wounds no longer aching.

Three nearby spiritually strong things are making their way over to the surging Ryoko and one nearby large spiritual power seems to have no interest in her. The rest are scattered about as they were before.

Hey there, AE. I've been reading your threads over on sup/tg/ and noticed this one already archived on there. I still have a couple left to read before I am fully caught up, but I just wanted to say that they have been an entertaining read. I am still chuckling from the "Magical Girl Schrödinger-chan" opening posts.

By the way, I noticed that you stated that Quincies were in Europe along with the Vikings back in thread 17. I also noticed that nobody reacted to that.
Granted, I am no expert in either quincies (or Bleach in general) or history, but I do not see how the presence of orientals -especially Japanese- would have been significant enough to have quincies be a thing for Vikings to seek and destroy so actively.
Is quincy heritage being European a confirmed thing in Bleach, or is it something you have made as part of your quest's canon (what with the twincies being "Friedhelm" and "Kouta")?

The vikings just went after them because they had powers. They were originally a European clan of spiritualists who split into two separate halves after getting badly destroyed and there had been some reunification in later years.

They were european until then, but the Norse wanted a fantastic war, they didn't care who was destroyed, but they had to fight them. They thought it was the only way to continue to be blessed with berserkers. After the Berserkers smashed, they split into two groups, European quincies, and oriental quincies and spent years developing individually, then were reunited around 100 years ago. That is the story at least.

You rush through the streets, swearing when you find a dead end, or have to slow down to the passing by shinigami, but you eventually make it over to Ryoko. Akira's soul signature is missing, further into soul society, but you watch with amusement as a white eyed Ryoko uses a nofunigami as an improvised weapon. She lets out an inhuman roar as three white robe wearing... haori? Yeah, that sounds right, a white jacket they wear over their robes. One is a man with five o'clock shadow, black hair, tan skin, and soulful eyes and while you can't read Japanese you are pretty sure he is in charge of the fourth. The the other is wearing a thick, black hooded robe which says twelfth, and you can not make out any features other than tall and thin. The last is a serious looking teenager with a large scar over her right eye. Her uniform says she is in charge of the sixth. The fourth captain lets out a low whistle as more shinigami crowd around her. "That's pretty impressive, pretty damn cute too. Hey, Kazu, what is she?" He asks turning towards the thin hooded man.

"We do not know." It explains, his voice harsh and female. "And we asked you call us Captain Fukyu. Or Captain Kazuki Fukyu. Nothing else is acceptable" It continues, this time the voice deep and male.

"Ah, come on now, that is way too depressing, don't you think Nana?" He asks, the scarred woman who glares at him, her short black hair bobbing slightly. "Don't call me that Captain Hiroshi. That thing is human right?? She asks tapping her chin.

"Yes, captain Nasuko. Just with unique traits. I would like it in my lab." The cloaked man woman thing asks making Hiroshi sigh.

"No way, we should lock it up for now in the medical building. It looks hurt, and it can't be good for her to be running around like that. Speaking of hurt. McDreamy, McSteamy!" He commands and a pair of shinigami appear behind him.

After a few moments the two shinigami return to their captain and nod to him. "Nana, don't make me fight you on this, okay? You got to bring her back alive to the fourth squad barracks." He asks and she frowns before sighing and drawing her sword.

"Fine." She accepts and you think you hear the hooded man growl.

You decide to let the chips fall where they may. You stand around with the scruby nofunigami, Ryoko's power pretty easy to sense and drawing a large crowd. The scarred teenager paces around Ryoko, drawing her sword and holding it in a standard two handed grip. She seems to gauge the distance to Ryoko, who lets out a roar and charges, batting the sword aside before slamming her fist into Nasuko's gut. Nasuko's eyes go wide, but she quickly jumps and lets the force play itself out. She frowns, standing in mid air and then resumes her stance. "Rise in the west, Byakko." She commands, and the sword glows for a moment before shrinking and forming spiked knuckles around her hand. She steps forward quickly, planting her feet in front of ryoko. Ryoko slams down on the woman with both fists, and you see her take the blow and her weapon seems to glow.

"Mansion 15 Return it, Kui." Nasuko says calmly and then punches Ryoko, a large blast of energy shooting from her knuckles into her. Ryoko flies back into a wall, and coughs before standing again, but the woman is already over her with her first raised. "Mansion 20, Rip, Zi." She commands and you see the spikes seem to pulse with energy. She punches into Ryoko and you see her body convulse as unseen blades shred into her body, covering the destroyed ground with sticky blood. You see steam rise from the shredded body of Ryoko, and the rage finishes playing itself out, leaving her wounded, but not overly so, the last of her energy used to heal her to at least acceptable levels.

"Ah, did you have to be so rough, Nana?" Hiroshi asks landing next to her.

"Yes." She answers leaving as McDreamy and McSteamy walk over to Ryoko and start to collect her carefully.

Seems the medics have her now. The shinigami start to disperse. What do you want to do now?

You sneak around patrols and finally manage to make it to a warehouse when you hear the fourth division barracks alarms go off.

She is unconscious and bleeding on a box in a warehouse near the fourth division. You hear commotion outside as some of the fourth squad members explain a fairly injured intruder has been taken from the medical prison, and a rough description of Ryoko, then they groups disperse, the fourth squad back to their barracks and the others out to search the city. Seems they passed you up.
