Uh...no. They specifically invaded the two largest concentrations of military might on the planet (the Battle of Moscow and Pearl Harbor, respectfully) in attempt to wipe them all out at once. They obviously failed miserably.

The diner you're thinking of is just outside the gate- You'd swear it was a waffle house chain place, but it's too big for that and independent anyway.

Inside it's empty but for a few truckers and one guy in a suit taking up a table by himself with his his school books. You smile, remembering many late nights of your own.

The table is relatively clean, and Ice takes a seat across from you, picking up the menu and scrolling over it before the cook comes over and pours you both a cup of coffee.

“Sounds like the Colonel is quite a guy.” Ice says. “Goose and Rosalie spoke pretty well of him.”

You smile and nod. “Next time I'm out there, you're coming along. You might even have fun.”

She looks up at you, but, with a mouthful of waffle, can't retort. You chuckle.

“Besides, Rosalie looked at him like he was Jesus and Santa Clause when he asked her to take those strikers for a spin. There's something relaxing about prop flight, I think.”
