You are Christopher Phillips, previously just another teenage nerd living in a small English town, and your life has turned itself around quite dramatically ever since you died.

You're in control now. That's the important thing, you're sure of it. That's the thing which has practically bound Avril to your will, and made one of your oldest friends spill one of her deepest secrets. It's all about who has the power.

There's a slow, gnawing hunger in the bottom of your stomach. It was pretty well fed just before lessons started, but it's starting to come back. You try to put it out of your mind. You've got Mathematics to focus on, a subject you've always enjoyed. And Jill will be there, too.

((Archive is at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Monsterhearts%20Quest ))
>>
oh, cool.
lets get this started.

Sit next to Jill
>>
>>25854859
As you walk to the classroom you think back to yesterday. The original reasons for your suicide attempt seem so unimportant right now. (Can it really be called an attempt, if you seem to have actually died? You may be up, and walking around. But your skin is cold to the touch, and that hunger... you try not to think about it too much).

Isabella Donaldson, the most popular girl in your year, queen bee of the more fashionable and socially well-adjusted members of the school, burst into your room to work on your joint Biology project, and found you hanging from a noose. She cut you down, found that you seemed perfectly fine, and was uncharacteristically polite when you told her to sit down and not to worry about it any more. When you moved on to flirting with her, however, she panicked and fled, leaving you to do all the work again. You've only spoken to her briefly since, in this morning's Biology class, but you apologised and arranged to meet at your house tonight to finish off the project.

Heading out to the cinema to find something else to do, you encountered the new Irish transfer student, Avril Dunway. She insisted that you take her to see a film, and tried to extract a promise of commitment from you. You shut her down hard, but spent most of the film teasing her ear and driving her into an absolute frenzy, only to be interrupted before she could get down on her knees.
>>
>>25855000
You hit the library to get the books you needed for your project, only to encounter an old friend of yours, Jill, a shy, nerdy girl with an extremely strict and religious mother. You chatted briefly with her and the two of you got a bite to eat, before you persuaded her to talk about her mother. She's convinced that the beatings her mother gives her are for the good of her soul, however, and doesn't want to discuss it too much.

This morning before school, you met up with Avril and had another session of you playing with her and turning her on, only to be interrupted before the finish. She did show you that she's not wearing any underwear beneath her skirt, and she's meeting you again at lunchtime.

First, however, you need to get through classes. Mrs Shelby isn't nearly as strict as Mr Coombs, and will let the pupils generally sit where they like. As you come into the classroom you see Jill has left a spot open beside her. So has Avril. (Isabella's not in this class - she's in a less advanced Maths group).

Where do you want to sit?
>>
>>25855074
((Also, there is generally a 10 minute timer on discussion before I gather a consensus and start writing. As this is the first post, however, I'll give people an extra five minutes to get into the thread and catch up.))
>>
>>25855074
Can either of them see the other from where they are sitting?
>>
>>25855110
((Almost certainly, if they glance around a little - the classroom is reasonably large, so there's enough space between people that you can see most of the class. They're on opposite sides of the room, both about the same distance from the blackboard.))
>>
I say we sit next to Avril.

If we sit next to jill then avril will be crushed, but if we sit next to avril then we can pass it off to Jill as not wanting to make her feel awkward after last night.
>>
>>25855074

Sit next to Jill for maximum Avril jelly. Ask if everything went alright on her way home. Pay attention if she tries disguising any bruises.
>>
>>25855074
sit beside jill. we have things to discuss.
avril will get our attention when the time comes. we let her wanting on purpose, lets stick with it.
>>
>>25855144
Or this. Either/or. We should be careful Avril doesn't try and jerk us off under the table or something. that would end poorly.
>>
>>25855148
Seconded
>>
>>25855074
We're teasing Avril anyway, might as well look harder to get.
>>
Great zombie quest continues!
I choose Jill.
>>
>>25855204
That begs the question what exactly are we? Not a vampire, there's no bloodthirst. Not an incubus since we crave more than just sex. I really don't know what we became when we died.
>>
>>25855223
no need to rush, we are bound find it out along the way.
also there is no need for us to be any of those things. we can be something with some of their traits.
>>
This isn't relevant now but I won't be around later so hopefully I can put this down now and hopefully people will heed this advice later.

two things;
1. We gotta try and keep these girls away from each other as it could all explode in our face if they find out we are multi-dating them. Things are tender with isabella at the moment, jill will think we are an absolute bastard and Avril seems like she might turn out to be grade A stalker material.

2. We came on pretty strong to Isabella yesterday, possibly too strong, but we opened up to her the possibility that there could be an us probably after us being pretty much friend-zoned. She could be thinking about this alot and will be sizing us up later during the project meetup. For this i suggest playing it cool but giving her a bit of our newfound sexual charisma, really get her heated. That way she can think she is the one making the next move. She may ask us about making a pass at to feel us out, I suggest that we play it cool but strong. Tell her casually that we were a bit shook up and that made us a little more foreward than we would normally be, *but make sure to assuage her that our feelings are genuine* (whether they are or not). This will put us forward as strong whilst letting her think that she is the one in control.

Hopefully all things go well, will be looking forward to reading up later.
Well done GM on doing a superb job.
>>
>>25855247

This gentleman understands. I still think we should help Jill, though. We could actually do some good with our power if we wanted to. Convince her mom to stop hurting her.
>>
>>25855105
Ok, that's 15 minutes from last post. Consensus looks to be: sit next to Jill. Writing now.
>>
>>25855247
1) Do you even harem? We must swag openly.
2) Or even let her approach us again, and genuinely let her give the pace? We don't really need to get involved with her.
>>
>>25855306
>We don't really need to get involved with her.
>1) Do you even harem?

uhh wat

also
>and genuinely let her give the pace?
We took 'control' as our main thingy last thread, so I imagine thigns go well we we be 'controlling'
>>
>>25855292
You wave to Jill and walk over to sit next to her, getting out your Maths books and pencilcase.

"Hey Chris. Did your project go okay?"

"He said 'may prove adequate'. So, better than expected."

Mrs Shelby calls the class to order. "All right, people, settle down. Today we're covering Statistics." Half the class groans. "I know, I know, but it's on the curriculum, so if you don't learn it you won't pass your GCSE, alright? I'll try to make it a little bit more interesting for you." She turns on the overhead projector and slides the first transparency on. "Now, this is a study an advertising agency conducted to give themselves one of those '9 out of 10 approve' labels. We're going to go through it step by step and pick out all the problems..."

Mrs Shelby encourages a fair bit of discussion and questioning in her class, so you can probably chat fairly openly with Jill as long as you're not too loud. Is there anything you'd particularly like to talk to her about? You know that her birthday is next Monday. (She's not having a party, as parties are both inherently sinful wastes of time and opportunities for boys and girls to sin together, according to her mother.) Or you could ask her further questions about her mother, or about the Escher book she was reading yesterday.
>>
>>25855424

Ask if she got home alright. Check if she tries concealing any bruises.
>>
>>25855362
We already are having things to do with April, and things to do for Jill. No real need to press Isabella as we start getting into two relationships.
>>
>>25855424

You give Jill a quick look over. She doesn't have any obvious bruises or patches of thick makeup on her face, and she's not moving gingerly in any obvious way. If she has bruises, you can't spot them. And you've never known her to come to school with any visible marks. Although she is off school ill a lot. You maybe should have wondered about that more.

"So Jill, did you get home okay last night? Your mother wasn't... upset, about you hanging around with a boy for the evening?"

"No, it was fine - I got home before curfew, and. uh, I sort of didn't mention that I was with you. I mean, no offence, Chris, I do like spending time with you, it's just... my mother wouldn't understand. Not about any boy, really." She sighs a little. "I'm sorry, Chris. I should be focusing on work, not on my mother. She just... I don't know, sometimes. I doubt. And I know doubt is supposed to be sinful, but I just can't stop doing it. Does that make me a bad person?"
>>
>>25855682

"Of course not."

Punctuate that with a bit of Will.

"If she's hurting you, you can tell me. You shouldn't have to deal with that. You're a beautiful girl. Tell you what. I'll come by Monday, if you want, or we can just leave from here. You deserve to do something nice for your birthday."
>>
>>25855682
Ask her to explicit "doubt". We teenage therapist now.

Then say, "it's okay. You should enjoy opening your mind and questionning yourself. This is what makes humanity intelligent beings, the doing and thinking about what you're doing. "
>>
>>25855682
"you are NOT a bad person jill. doubting is a part human nature.
jill i may be stepping my boundries here, but im doing it because i'm concerned for you. you should, we should, find a way to convince your mother to give you the freedom you deserve. i will help you, dont worry."

"You're not a bad person, Jill. It's just part of human nature to doubt. Thinking about what you're doing is just as important as doing it, right?

I may be overstepping my boundaries here, but... I worry about you, okay? If your mother's hurting you, you can tell me. I'll help you, don't worry." You take her hand again. "You're a beautiful girl, and you deserve a bit of freedom. Tell you what. I'll come by next Monday, if you want, or we can leave from school. You deserve to do something nice for your birthday."

Jill blushes again, and looks down at your hand. She doesn't pull her hand away, though. "For my birthday? Um... that'd be nice, yeah. Not a party or anything, just two friends spending a bit of time together. She couldn't... well... I'll tell her I'm going to the library, okay?"

Mrs Shelby coughs slightly pointedly in your direction and you both turn and focus on the lesson.

Your last class before lunch time is German. It goes by quite smoothly, although you're starting to feel very hungry indeed.

You grab a snack from the vending machine instead of going to the lunch hall, and head round to the bike sheds. When you get there, you see Avril in front of them, looking nervous and fidgeting slightly. "There's a whole bunch of guys back there smoking", she says. "I could maybe... persuade them to leave. But I thought you might be mad with me if I did."

"Persuade them? Persuade them how?"

"Well, I mean, just... bargain with them. Offer them something to go smoke somewhere else. Except that I sort of... only have one thing to bargain with." She gestures to her skirt.

You stroll round the side of the bike shed. There are three guys leaning against the wall, smoking. You don't know all of them personally, but two are in your year and one is in the year above, and they're all bigger than you. One of the guys in your year is Zack, who's on the rugby team. He's generally alright, but he's still a sports guy and you're a nerd. The other is... Apollo? You don't know much about him. You think he's on the school football team. You don't know the guy in the year above.

Zack steps forward. "You want something, Chris? Didn't know you smoked." He takes out a lighter. "You can join us if you like, but we don't have any cigarettes to spare, okay?"
>>
>>25856307
((What do you want to say to them? There are a few other places either you or they could go, but none of them are as private, and if the teachers catch them smoking they'll be in trouble, even if they're on the sports teams.))

im againt this. we dont want a commitment with avril. if we tell her this she'll glue herself (she is already a sticky bitch) and become a stalker.
let her know there is no commitment and our fun together should stay as a secret(so we dont fuck it up with other girls)
tell her she can have her fun, as long as she let us know first. this can actually lead to some fun situations.

Nah, let's keep that option open just in case. It's not a good first choice, but it's still better to have as a choice than not.

Statistics is the only part of Mathematics that I would happily just take and replace with a computer program. I'm a theorist, not a calculator. There's absolutely no need to have modern mathematicians calculate their own Bernoulli distributions or use paper probability tables.

I don't want to break OP's mystery too much, but the MH game offers several options for all the various "monster" types, so what exactly everyone is changes from player to player. The Ghoul can have have one of several Hungers. Quite frankly flesh is the most obvious and therefore most boring option.

We're a mind control rape zombie. Normal D/s policies don't apply. In fact, they don't need to in any fiction, but in this case they especially don't.

This isn't a vote in favor of that, in fact I'd like to vote against it because there's no reason to just be straightforward and tell her she can beg to get it tomorrow.

>>25857861
No, we'll command her not to and she won't, even though she wants to. Locking someone up is nothing compared to that.

Your mouth and hands feel warmer than the rest of you, and so does the front of your torso, right down to the middle of your thighs. You feel much less hungry than you did before lunch. But there's a second, smaller hunger coiling around the first now. You want more of her, too.

>>25857659
"I'll think about it. If you want more you're going to have to beg for it." You stand up and lean over her to kiss her again. "I'll meet you after school, and we'll see if you can come up with something good, okay?" She pouts a little, but nods, doing her blouse back up.

Avril gets up, handing you your tie back. "I, uh... I'm going to run over to the lunch hall and see if there's any food left. I can grab you something and bring it to you if you like."

You have maybe twenty minutes or so to grab some food. (You got yourself a chocolate bar from the vending machines earlier, but it was in your pocket, so it's probably melted and crushed now.) Pupils are allowed to eat on a few tables outside if they like, but most will sit in the lunch hall at whatever table their friends are on. You usually ate alone, or sitting next to Jill, both of you with your heads in a book.

Your deeper hungers are sated, but you do still need to eat. What do you want to do for lunch?
>>
>>25858067
I will note that unless we plan to be gone from the area soon that we will be around these people for some time. Well, barring death.
Some attention to having the relationship be at least somewhat sustainable may be advised. Going full comitted to each other and/or waifu isn't appropriate unless we want to use her as a redeption factor or something. We can use her as monster-mitigation by not going too douchebag though.
That said, Avril at least may well take outright abuse and come back for more, it will just (likely) make it more difficult for us later is all.
>>
>>25858201
Have her bring food to you.
>>
>>25858201

"Go ahead. Make it quick."

Take a seat and wait for her to come back. Enjoy the fresh air. Contemplate our new power.

>>25858225
If we want to be redeemable and not a complete monster, Jill is the one we should focus on. Helping her might be the one good thing we could do with our power. But I'm fully expecting a hunter to shank us or something at this rate.

>>
>>25858288
This is Monsterhearts, not WoD. If a hunter comes we'll probably end up fucking.
>>
>>25858288
I'd have to agree that Jill would likely be the better redeption factor. More just pointing out about the waifu stuff than that Avril was best at such.
Then again, getting the both of them over the worst of their hungers may well work on a strong enough level for Avril. After all, now we share a mutual hunger for each other.

Also, with the mention of strings, now I place reading through some of the things for this before. I'm kind of curious how this will play out.
>>
>>25858350

To be fair, I know nothing about Monsterhearts. I don't even know if there are hunters in this setting.
>>
>>25858288

We all make our own enemies.
>>
>>25858379

Not by default, but one of the Skins players can choose can be "The Chosen" and fulfill the Buffy archetype. If hunters exist as NPC threats is up to the GM. If they exist in the quest or not, we wouldn't know. I don't think we've done a lot of research into what the supernatural is nominally like yet.

"Go ahead, and make it quick. I'll be at one of the tables outside. Bring me some pizza if there's any left."

"Yes s - uh, yes, sure thing Chris." Avril hurries off as you sort out your tie again, and try to brush down your trousers to conceal the wet patches.

You find a table easily enough, in the slight shade of an old tree. You lean back, look at the sky and contemplate your newfound power. Two days ago you wouldn't have dreamed of a girl like Avril looking your way, and now you've had her wrapped around your fingers. You can't shake that feeling of hunger, though.

Your reverie is interrupted by Avril's return with a small tray, bearing some pizza for you and a large salad for her. She sits down beside you and hands you a plate, and bites her lip again. "You know, if, um, if you want me to beg I can beg right now for you. Please. I... I promise you can have me any way you like, if you'll just fuck me again, after school. I'll do anything for you. Didn't I make you feel good? I'm all yours, Chris." She passes you something in her hand, a thick, scrunched up ball of white fabric, then leans in, pressing her chest against yours. You can feel two small bits of cold metal against your skin, through both your shirts.

You can feel your hunger rising, especially once you look at your hand and realise she's given your her bra. You want her. You're able to keep control, but you can feel that hunger under the surface, and you're sure that if you let it out it can help you, make everything easier for you... but you're not quite sure what would happen then.

"I'll meet you after school at my place, Avril. We'll see what happens then. Don't touch yourself before then."

She pouts at you again, but nods. "Yes s - Chris. I'll be waiting. Where's your place?"

You give her brief directions, and she heads off to get to class. She's got PE next and needs to get changed before anyone else gets to the changing rooms. You tuck her bra into your bag and finish your pizza slowly, musing again. You can feel a deep, burning hunger for power, for control and dominance. You've sated that one well with Avril, both just now and before. But there's a second hunger that wasn't there before lunch - you *want* Avril, desperately. The feeling of her skin against yours, the taste of her lips, the warmth of her tight... embrace. You want to feel that again, to take her over and over. When she handed you her bra you had to hold yourself back from just taking her over the table, right out in the open. The taste of the pizza seems dull and boring when your mind is full of images of Avril's body, and by the time you're done eating you don't feel all that much more full.

Your last class of the day is Geography, which you share with Jill again, as well as with your old but not particularly current friend Jason, and Zack. Zack gives you a nod as you walk in, and you can see that Jill has saved you a space. Jason sits alone at the back of the class, but there's room to sit by him if you want.

You take a seat near Jill, who waves at you again. "Hey Chris - I didn't see you at lunch. You didn't get so caught up in a book that you forgot again, did you?" She's teasing you a little, but that's happened - rarely - to each of you before.

Mr Stokes bangs his hand on the desk a few times to get everyone to be quiet, and explains that as part of your study of the geography of towns, there's going to be a short trip out today. In groups of three, you will be given a set of worksheets, the class will walk down to the town centre, and your group will pick a street and make a list of all the shops and other buildings on both sides of that street. He warns you all that he will expect to see a diverse list of buildings on each worksheet and anyone who comes back with a list of "House. House. House. House", or who picks a street with less than ten buildings total, will receive a poor mark. You will have an hour and a half to collect the information, but everyone needs to come back to the classroom before the end of school.

Jill obviously wants to be in your group, but she can't think of anyone else to work with. Zack seems to have a group lined up, but he might be willing to work with two nerds if it's less work. You could pick someone you don't know all that well and get to know them a little, of course, and you don't think Mr Stokes would object all that much if you asked to do the task as a two-person team instead of a three-person one.

What do you want to do?

You glance around, looking for someone else who's not with a group.

There's an Asian guy standing on his own. He looks fairly confident, about your height but a bit more athletic. His skin is a fairly pale brown and his hair is black and cut short and very neat. You don't remember his name. You think he might be on one of the athletics teams, but you don't pay enough attention to the sports side of school life to know which one.

There's also a girl you vaguely recognise as one of Isabella's occasional hangers-on - Cassandra. She's trying to talk a group of three guys into letting her be their fourth member, but she's not having much luck. Cassandra is tall, pale and fairly aloof, a red-head, and definitely beautiful.

Over in the corner you can see a second girl, who seems a bit too shy to approach any of the forming groups. Her name is... Masami, that was it. You don't remember much about her, except that she showed up at the start of the year as a transfer student from Japan. She doesn't talk to anyone much, preferring to keep her head down and work.

Asian guy and Cassandra are more dull: we could have sat next to Zack if we wanted a sports guy and Cassandra's just a second Isabella.

We could still explore things with the Asian guy later, but for now let's go with super-suspicious/interesting Masami. She can become another good deed, like how we're helping Jill out of her shell.

>>

We can socialise with her later if needs be. It'll be a shame if we use use to get Isabella while being able to get her without help. She's a challenge and getting help now would be like giving up.

Also, Avril could be ginger under her green hair.
>>
>>25860605
Gonna be honest, being able to have the insurance of turning a hypnotized friend against Isabella gets me hot.

You head over to where Masami is standing. "Hey, would you like to come work with us? We need another person in our group."

She blinks a little "Um... yes, alright. I hope I can be of assistance." She brings her hands together and leans forward a little, then hurries off and gets three worksheets from Mr Stokes.

The class walks into town as a group, most people chattering as they walk. Once you get to the centre of town, Mr Stokes claps his hands together and announces "You all have one hour and seventeen minutes to finish that worksheet and bring it back to the classroom. That should be more than enough time, but don't slack off. Remember that when you wear your uniform you represent the public image of the school. If I hear any complaints about your behaviour they will be passed directly to the headteacher, understand? Now, get to work."

It shouldn't be too hard to find a street to work on, especially as multiple groups are allowed to share a street. If you're looking for anything specific now's the time to say so. Both Jill and Masami are quiet and shy enough that you could probably have a long conversation with either of them without the other interrupting or particularly listening in.

We can be quick- Avril might be a special case, but it would lay some good groundwork if we corner her alone, plant the seed, and then we can go back to Jill and Masami.

>[x]Try to get them both talking to each other

Let's go for a street with both houses and shops.

>[x]Talk to Masami
Then try to get Jill involved with the conversation once we've hit it off with Masami.
>>
>>25860840
I'm down for this. Just as a foot in the door kind of thing, nothing rapey. Yet.
>>
>>25860920

I dunno, offending or dismissing Jill sounds like the classic teen horror pitfall.

We freak her out, she wonders why we "changed" or act different, mysterious 3rd party swoops in, tells her we're a dominating Revenant, or she figures it out on her own, next thing we know she ambushes us after school with a cross and some holy water, and shit gets real.
>>
why would we suddenly stalk cassandra? if we want to get close to her, we can just talk to her any day of school.

Talk to masami.

I say we should stay with the group

Jill and Masami are both quite shy, but you chat to Masami a bit first, asking if she has any favourite classes or teachers, whether she reads a lot. She confesses that her main hobby is watching cartoons that "remind me of home", but doesn't talk much about why she left - except that she absentmindedly plays with a small, ivory pendant when talking about it. She mentions that she has Mrs Shelby as her class teacher (the one who takes the register at the beginning of the day) and once Jill mentions how much she enjoys Mrs Shelby's Maths lessons, the two of them are chatting quite happily about teachers, lessons and favourite subjects. Masami is a little behind in English, and Jill recommends a few good books for her from the school library. Masami in turn is surprisingly knowledgeable about Chemistry and Biology. You're able to sort out the worksheet quite easily while they talk, although they're both still paying enough attention to be helpful with that. After about forty-five minutes the worksheet is done and Jill and Masami are getting on brilliantly.

Is there anything else you'd like to do before you go to hand the worksheet in? It'll take you about fifteen minutes to get back to school from here, so you have about a quarter of an hour to do as you wish, either in town or back at school.

When are there going to be owlbears involved in this story? I want some owlbears.
>>

How are our hungers?
>>
>>25861343
find a nice place to sit down for a nice talk before heading off.
a park, a cafe, some quite place at a nice street... whatever closest.
>>
>>25861387
You're still fairly well-sated on your hunger for control, although when you think about it you realise it's still there, gnawing away at you. As for Avril... you *want* her, definitely. If you want to keep from just jumping her bones when you see her after school, it'll take quite a bit of keeping your cool.
>>
>>25861443
We need to see about separating Avril from everyone, and chain her some place isolated so we can indulge ourselves without having to worry about complications.
>>
>>25861443

On a scale of say, between -3 and +3, how cool are we?
>>
>>25861343
((Also, as a note, it's getting quite late for me, so I'll be breaking for the night in a few posts. The quest was apparently archived a little while back at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Monsterhearts%20Quest , so go vote. Next thread tomorrow evening.))
>>
>>25861497
That would be difficult and might attract both mundane and supernatural attention.

>>25861517
From what I've seen we are either +1 or +2, more likely the former.
>>
>>25861536
Not if she agrees to it on her own.

We have control, remember?

What are the cops going to do, arrest us because a girl decided to sneak off of her own volition? Worst that'll happen is she'll declare her undying love for us, which just removes her and adds to the narrative of us being the victim of a crazed stalker.
>>
>>25861536

Actually, It was silly of me to ask. In Apocalypse World (and it's hacks), 1-6 result is a miss, 7-9 is a partial hit, 10+ is a full hit.

So if we succeed on a 6 or better on the dice, and do very well if we roll 9 or higher, we're at +1. Which just massages the averages a little. And means we're probably going to end up having sex with Avril next time we're in close proximity with her.
>>
>>25861572
im sure thats not worst that could happen.
>>
>>25861343
Ok, we only seem to have one suggested action, and it's been substantially more than 10 minutes, so I'm going with it.
>>25861401
Who particularly were you planning to talk to?
>>
>>25861617
jill?
>>
>>25861617
both of them, chat with each other as a group.
>>
>>25861594
Its less than a third chance that we blow our 'hold steady' roll (which comes off cold) on a single die, let alone that we are generally rolling x3 picking highest. So if we really gun it we might be able to hold off, but I don't think in the coming instance that that will be a problem.
>>
>>25861649
did you just invoke probability at /tg/ dice?
>>
>>25861649
by which I mean, why bother? as long as we aren't tearing her clothes off then and there.
>>
>>25861634

You find a small cafe on the high street and get Jill and Masami a coffee each.

"Did you have any thoughts about what you want to do for your birthday, Jill?"

"For my? - Oh, right, you said. Um, there's a bookstore in town, maybe we could go there and pick out a few nice books? I don't know... I've never really done anything for my birthday before."

Do you have any other suggestions for her? Or would you like to turn the conversation to other topics? Or try and get Masami involved in this? Right now she's mostly just staring at her coffee waiting for it to cool down a bit.
>>
>>25861768
different conversation topic, this is probably awkward for masami
>>
>>25861768
"thats something to do for any other day. your birthday should be a bit more special, leave it to me. i promise i wont disappoint you."
ask masami her birthday and from there try to get her to talk about japan, her family, her life back there...
>>
>>25861768
why don't we hang out at my house for a party? Not a big one, just you and me, maybe Masami and another friend or two if they're alright with it. I'll take care of everything. That sound nice?
>>
>>25861828
We should definitely learn more about this girl
>>
We can suggest the Library and ask if she would like anyone else to come as well. Maybe invite Masami to commemorate math friends.and begin the corruption of both girls.
>>
>>25861845
second, after this, start small talk with her and Masami
let the hareming begin
>>
We need to get her something nicer than a book but we should try and rope some other people in too to celebrate with us; Masami is a good start.

Can we stare into our coffee, and perhaps gaze into the abyss? If you're saving that for something more dramatic, ignore me, but a lot of people here aren't familiar with the basic moves of Monsterhearts, and gazing into the abyss could be very useful and handy for us to start creepily knowing things about people.
>>
>>25861951
"That's something for any other day, Jill. How about we hang out at my house for a party? Not a big one, just you and me. Maybe Masami would like to come?" Masami looks up, with a startled rabbit-in-headlights look on her face, and nods a little.

"When's your birthday, Masami? Friends ought to know a bit more about each other, after all. Mine was on Saturday, and Jill's is next Monday."

"It's, uh, it's August 20th. Sorry. I haven't really had much in the way of friends before."

"Not even back in Japan?"

"My family, we didn't really... talk to other people much, people outside the family." She's playing with her pendant again, a small white thing on a string necklace. It looks like three crescent shapes intersecting, with the points of each crescent on the outside.

Masami looks down at her coffee again. "It's... nice to have friends. Thank you both." She looks up again with a small smile, and Jill is smiling too. "I'd love to come to your party, Jill."

"Uh..." Jill is smiling a little less now. "It won't be a proper party, right Chris? No drinking or boys or... I mean, not that you're not a boy, but... no sinfulness or anything. Just hanging out." Masami also looks a touch worried at the mention of "sinfulness", and fingers her pendant again.

"Don't worry, Jill. Let me handle it, everything will be fine. I promise I won't disappoint you."

You all head back to the classroom and hand in your worksheets, and you wave goodbye to Jill and Masami as you head home.
>>
>>25862148

GAZE INTO THE PENDANT.

GAAAAZE
>>
>>25862117((You need a little bit more introspection than "I gaze into my coffee", I think. But it'll happen sooner or later. Possibly when the players least expect it.))

((Also, the next post will be the last one for the night, as it's now 2:30am for me. Next thread tomorrow afternoon, same time as this one.))

pretty much confirmed for supernatural if you ask me.
>>
>>25862175

Coffee would be a silly idea. Every character is supposed to have their own unique way of using the gazing move, so if we establish ours as being "meditate into the coffee", we'd probably feel like we had to do something like it every time. I'll trust you or the other players to find a particular moment of introspection as an appropriate moment and status quo.
>>
>>25862148
That was odd - you glance back again. Out of the corner of your eye Masami's hair looked... plastic-y, somehow. Like a wig. Trick of the light, obviously, it's fine now that you look properly.

You hurry home, nearly running into your mother in the hallway. She's wearing a nice dress and has her handbag with her. "Christopher, you're back a little late. Go and get changed - oh, you haven't forgotten, have you? You have." She sighs. "It's your little sister's school play tonight, remember? We need to get going if we're going to be there on time. Your father will be meeting us there. Well, what are you looking at me like that for? Go get changed."

((And that's it for tonight's thread, everyone. I'll stick around for a little bit if anyone has any questions, but I really should get some sleep at some point soon.))

>we are fucked, we are supposed to meet bpth avril and isabella tonight and we are going to our sister's play.
We invite both of them to the play. That shows we have values, we care about family, enjoy the arts, etc.

Probably best to have them sitting apart. We can have Isabella sit with out family, or get away them them to sit with her if we can make that fly.

Avril can wait and stew by herself, or show up for the interval/after the play.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. Remember, next thread same time tomorrow, and the archives are at http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Monsterhearts%20Quest so go vote. The promised pastebin will be up next thread as well.

Or she has lost all hair, because she has cancer or some shit, and wears a wig.
