>Summarizing is a near maddening activity..

Aside, The dark tale of our Dear Faefnir will continue. Now then... where were we..
Ah, yes, the last archive.. And the state of our family?
Indeed, indeed, that is so. What of the hero?

Well?
Ah, there it is. We can begin in earnest then.

Let's see, we last saw our Faefnir within the church of a mad priest within the town of Florin, basking in the glorious presence of the good doctor, and Morgan alike...

What of another however?

Oh yes, and I almost forgot!

In the year 1400 the beginnings of a holy war between our goodly demons of destruction and murder, and the wretched dogs of God...

In the midst of this, we follow the story of one demon among the many, known as Faefnir by his peers. His human-skin the shape of a once-farmboy known as Jacob, and his power source, a once-baker known as Claire, he has come to his senses as a LV mechanical demon. Otherwise known as an Akuma.

And as before, the tale continues!
>>
He lays a board over the doors to keep it shut much to the suspicion of you and Morgan.

Your own eyes go wide,m fearing for what this man must be planning. He heads to the back of the church, past the pews and straight to the altar, throwing the bible away as though it was rubbish, and kneeling down at the end of the walk, showing reverence to the two of you," My Friend, and my lady... A good Doctor came to me some nights ago... And of a more recent visit within my dreams, he foretold your coming here... It... is my most esteemed honor to meet you Lady Noah, this humble, scumbag of a human is not worthy to be in the sight of such grace." He speaks with passion, resolve, and what you'd normally think of madness for a human.. wait... he did indeed say that he was a human, yes?

Morgan slowly pulls away from you and draws down the aisle with her nearly regal grace, you soon follow her in escort, and she stops before the grovelling man, putting his face into her hands and lifting him up, staring deeply into his eyes.
"No wonder your words did not incur my hatred so.. They were spoken with an empty heart.. You have seen the doctor?"

The man draws his head back down, and slowly stands, brushing himself off and motioning just to his left where a familiar shadow rises from the pews, unseen before.

That familiar cane, the mask, the tall and slender body with a walk just as regal and enchanted as Morgan's, you too bow before him.
The Good Doctor...
"Good evening, my dear Maitora, and the dear Faefnir that brought her to me... You have only exceeded my expectations... Excellent, excellent work!" The man claps with Cane in hand, and it warms your heart.

It has been so long since you've seen him!

>Anything that you'd like to ask or say?

There seems to be someone else here as well.. You catch curly blonde hair poking out from behind a support for the church...
>>
>>25840249
offer some of our new bread, and ..."what can we do for you now sir?"
>>
>>25840249
"it was my Honor to save the Noah Morgan from the clutches of the Exorcists. I will not lie, We were unable to kill the Exorcist Asher, and we did lose a dear comrade in the escape, but they were acceptable losses since we were able to bring her to you, my dear Doctor."
>>
>>25840249
Hm.

Ask him how he convinced the good pastor here to convert. Also how he is able to travel so easily.
>>
>>25840421
I can probably answer the Pastor part. He is probably a broker, selling his mourning parishioners to the doctor to be made into demons.
>>
>>25840455
Nah, I mean. Was he always willing to sell out the human race, like you say? Or did the good Doctor use some weird mind magic on him?
>>
>>25840474
oh come on now, using mind magic to make people do what you want. let there own weaknesses make them do it willingly.

now, we only need to figure out what he gets from this... or if he is just crazy
>>
>>25840249
Good doctor, I believe we have a guest. Do you want us to take care of him?
>>
>>25840249
>>25840419
I wouldn't call it acceptable losses. Say we will get our revenge on the scum that kill our comrade and family member. Family is family.
>>
>>25840536
don't do say that, we don't want to accidentally insult a Noah.

>>25840542
just because the losses are acceptable, does not mean that we will let the losses go.
>>
>>25840249
Ask him if he knows where Akuma go when they die.
>>
>>25840570
good question.
>>
>>25840594
Potentially traumatic.

Also, guys. How do you all feel about naming Mr. Tucker, the gravekeeper, Garmr? Found the name while searching for "black dog" myths. He was the guardian of the dead and apparently Hel's dog. It just fits so well if we're planning to make him Morgan's personal assistant.

Plus, if he's going to specialize in anything, I hope it's the Sonic Roar from before, since what I read about Black Dogs seems to indicate that their barking was considered as a premonition of death.
>>
>>25840249
Ask him if any of his family come in a pair, tell him of the dream we had with the pair of Noahish figures singing.

Also ask about what Morgan said about him changing his design.

Tell him about the Gravekeeper outside and how he ought to be pliable at the moment.
>>
>>25840636
I'm cool with this. can we also get him to have a sword and durability? I'm kinda stuck on making a Soul Eater reference
>>
>>25840636
I'm okay with the name, but I don't think we can actually chose what powers NPCs get.
>>
>>25840706
With our power of leadership we can probably order level akuma to take specific power, or at least suggest a certain route.
>>
You reach into your coat feeling for bread only to find your internal oven empty. With a frown, you look up at the man.
"Whatever is the matter my dear demon?" The man inclines his head to the side, despite his perfect posture.
With sadness in your voice," I had thought it proper to offer you bread as I had done in the past.. however I have none to offer you this day without preparing more.. I am quite sorry."
The Doctor waves off your disappointment," Do not worry my dear demon, you have pleased me quite well thus far, I am certain you will have bread for me next-"
The curly golden locks whip out from behind the pillar, for you to see their owner..

A girl possibly a couple years older than Kralle, so no more than 16 or so, walking up to the doctor in a black dress with white fringes and many laces laces, likely incredibly expensive. She approaches the doctor with a haughty stride, and you are on edge right up until her hair takes on a blue-black hue and skin darkens with stigmata forming a ring upon her head... Another one of the family.
She pokes the doctor with a finger, and an irate expression," Hey there now.. We need something for tea... is this the one that gave you the bread for tea before? I want more of that bread, you had better have him make you more bread, it'll be an awful tea-time without it Adam, why would you want to ruin my life..." The girl rambles on without even looking at you as you can almost make out sweat forming upon the mask.

Morgan is the one to break this mad-poking spree with a clear of her throat,"Ahem, I do not believe we are acquainted, who are you, girl?"
>>
>>25840706
>>25840765
Yeah, I was actually about to ask this question in the Recap thread (and if you're going to post there, do so while saging your post, just to let it sink).
>>
>>25840798
Road? She's the only one I can imagine who'd be this haughty with the good Doctor.
>>
>>25840798
I want to call her rude, but she did like our bread. This is very confusing.
>>
>>25840848
Definetly Road.
Lets just hope that this Road doesn't start fancying a pesky exorcist, like the Asher.
>>
>>25840876
she's a child acting childish. We must give in to our maternal instincts and procure more bread for the girl
>>
>>25840880
If Noah aren't immortal and just reincarnate into a new body after their old one expires, then this Road would have a different personality from the one we know (though retaining some aspects of it).

Plus, the Asher is hardly anything like Allen.
>>
>>25840798
That seems like Road. Well she may be a bit rude, and not even talking to us directly, but she did love our bread.

Well, we can whip up a baguette, or our standard Black Bread, we don't have any in our oven right now, but our Ash count is full right now as of the last count. So, we may need to turn into our Akuma form and start baking. Tell her that it'll be but a moment and with a bit of patience a loaf shall be available.

Note, do not give the Priest the Baguette, it'll hurt him a lot.
>>
Just had a thought for an alternative name for "Body of Mouths".

Ravenous Form.

(Just a thought.)
>>
>>25840920
Yes. That IS preferable.
>>
The Young Noah turns her head to stare at Morgan for a moment, raising an eyebrow," I heard, Maitora yes? You are the ability..." The young Noah's head turns to regard the priest that's been caught in the middle of this.
"Begone stranger, this is a family matter." She waves her hand and the James falls to the floor of the church, unconscious, yet obviously breathing.. not that you particularly care.

Morgan chuckles a bit," I see, Road yes? You are the dream?"

The Noah nods, still poking the doctor with all of his glorious patience,"I am Road, indeed, yes I am. Though I prefer my other name, Alice. It's a fantastic one, don't you think? All the monsters in the wonderland think so too.." Her face instantly breaks into an insane smile, one that sends an intense shiver through your spinal chain, right up from your toes.

This Noah gives you.. a foreboding feeling..

The Doctor clears his throat and whisks away the chill you feel," Mind not our dear Alice, she is a touch..."
"Dear dictor, I certainly hope you would not say mad, I'd be tickled purple and violent if you simply called me mad. I'd probably even leave you in my dreamland for some time if you did. I'm not mad, it's all of you after all." The girl spins about on her heel and starts giggling like a crazed little thing...

Morgan smiles nervously,"Why... it is good to meet you dear.. I certainly hope we can get along in these new li-"

The girl's cackling ends suddenly and she stares at Morgan intently," Do you like tea? Seems you don't quite like hats, do you?"

The Doctor's mask shifts into an unfailingly angered expression as he slams his cane down," Alice! Not now."

The girl ceases her bothering and struts over to the priest without another word, doing the devil knows what to his mind...

With the flow of things restored, you bow before the Doctor nervously...
>>
"It was my Honor to save the Noah Morgan from the clutches of the Exorcists. I will not lie, We were unable to kill the Exorcist Asher, and we did lose a dear comrade in the escape, yet we will have our satisfaction in time.."

The expression upon his mask turns to a slight frown and a single tear drips from an eye that he gently wipes away with a gloved hand," I am quite sorry to hear of your loss.. Your family is such a delightful parallel to behold.. I do hope that you find the man outside a potential replacement for his position...

Of course the doctor already knows of Edward Tucker, you smile to yourself," He would do, though Ivan will never be replaced in our hearts..."

The Doctor goes silent at that for a moment, as if he did not believe what he just heard.

"Did.. you say.. hearts? You won't forget him?" He lifts one of his hands from his cane and positions it under his doctor's mask in thought," It is... quite odd that you... would say that.. "

"Is it so? I mean not to offend, Good Doctor..."

"Faefnir, you... are indeed the strangest of my creations..."

>...Anything you would still like to ask or say?
>>
Dear me, I cannot believe I can't find a single good picture of a blonde haired gothic lolita with curls...

What madness...
>>
>>25841057
indeed, this is truly madness.

>>25841047
"Dear Doctor... Where do Akuma go when they die?"
>>
>>25841047
Tell him about our dream. Its contents. What (or who) we saw. Ask him WHY we dreamt at all.
>>
>>25841057
Strange days indeed good Duke
>>
>>25841047
Ask about what he intends for the lady Noah to. Should she remain with the family, or head off to do whatever needs to be done with the Duke.
>>
>>25841047
"In my time as Akuma I have not known myself to be anything other than what I am, I have grown, but I have always been myself, strange as I may be. Though it can be difficult to see your own strangeness and oddity, I have never thought of myself as strange. Is it strange to wonder where Akuma go when we die?

Good Doctor, I had a dream not long ago. Is it odd that I dream? It was of two Noah, faint human shapes with the crown of Noah upon their heads, sitting by a pond singing a song as the stars spun in the sky. I could hear little, but there was mention of cradles and one becoming two. Are there any in your family who come as a matched set?

Milady Morgan, will you be returning with the Doctor, or shall you be staying within Florin with myself and my family for your experiments?

Alice, while I do not have any bread on me right now I could bake a loaf if you so desired. It would not take much time, would you care for a baguette? It is a new recipe I learned in Ruinebriar, it is both crunchy on the outside and delicate and soft on the inside."
>>
>>25841047
While we are talking, shouldn't we start baking some bread for our dearest Road? We don't want her to be upset.

actually, in character, we don't know a lot about what the song said. we solved it out of character. at most, we heard grave-something and one something two

also, JasDevi's song: http://youtu.be/Tj664-o2jxI

>>25841197
Well she prefers the name Alice, but I wouldn't mind joining her for tea, we provide the bread, she provides tea, hopefully she doesn't pull us into Wonderland.

I was figuring that we remembered enough of it to make some educated guesses about its contents. Working out "Cradle" and "One Became Two" wouldn't be unreasonable.

Yes, that'll do. That's Alice's human form right there, we'll go with that. That's exactly what I meant to find and described.

let's burn the bible and use the ash to make a baguette.
>>
>>25841354
I wonder if such ashes will spice up the bread a bit.
>>
>>25841403
The irony should be delicious.
>>
>>25841354
Well make sure there's a spare before we do that, we don't want the Priest to not have a bible when he's sermonizing the foolish masses, not good for his cover.

Hell, movable type and mass production of books might not be around yet making books extremely rare and difficult to replace which would make acquiring a spare bible difficult for him.
>>
You mull this occurrence over in your mind. considering the doctor's "In my time as Akuma I have not known myself to be anything other than what I am, I have grown, but I have always been myself, strange as I may be. " You outstretch your arms for a bow as though you had just performed a play.
"I have only ever sought to please my good doctor after all, no cause for concern, yes?"

Nostradamus nods his head and chuckles with the mask changing into a jagged smile," Indeed, indeed this is true. Let us keep it that way as always. I would hate to lose such a capable Akuma before its peak.. Especially with the state that we are in.." He begins to walk across to the altar.

"My master?"
He pauses and looks back at you," Yes?"
"I have one other thing to add... A dream a couple nights ago.. I am sure that is odd, yes?"
"Indeed, it is.." The Doctor's tone carries... a curious attention," And what did you dream?"
"Well..." You begin," It was of two Noah, faint human shapes with the crown of crosses upon their heads, sitting by a pond of black water and singing a song as the stars spun in the sky.. I could hear a little.. mention of a grave and one becoming two?... Are there any Noah in the family that come as a pair?"

The doctor nods his head and paces slowly back and forth, as Morgan moves close to you to whisper," You had not told me of this dream.. Is there more?"
"I had not thought that it was.. important.."

"There is indeed a member of the family that comes as two... they.. have not yet awakened from what I can sense.. It is extremely odd that you would have such a dream... Especially without my knowledge..." The Doctor looks at Morgan intently," Maitora."
She regards him intently in turn," Yes, Doctor?"
The man motions with his hand, regarding you," I would have you watch over this one personally for some time. You had interest in performing experiments here, yes?"

Morgan seems taken aback," Why yes, Doctor I had but.."
>>
>>25841476
like we would give a shit.
>>
>>25841354
We're at full Ash count.
>>
>>25841509
Well if the Priest's cover becomes compromised people may investigate, if people investigate than they may find Morgan's experimentation room that is going to be in this area, possibly under the church, if that happens then Exorcists come in an everything goes to hell, in a bad way.

For want of a nail and all that.
>>
With finality in his voice, the doctor raises up his right hand," Then it is settled! Take care of Faefnir for us, yes?"

With resignation, Morgan bows," Yes, certainly doctor." She doesn't seem a bit upset.

With that settled, you feel bad about leaving Alice out of the mold, and you partially transform, preparing to back your binding Broquette Baguette," Dear Alice, I will make you a fresh loaf quickly, it will not take too long at all, and I am certain if you appreciated the last, you'll love this..."

She ignores you as she pokes and prods the face of Pastor James, his face contorting into odd expressions as she messes with his dreams.

The Doctor tips his hat,"Well, if there is nothing else, I will be off when Faefnir's bread is finished...

>Any last thing you'd like to say?
>>
>>25841476
Well, many bibles at that time were written in untranslated Latin text, and pastor would read said Latin text during the service. Nobody but the priest understood Latin in most cases, so they probably won't see any difference if he fakes it.
>>
>>25841568
"Ah, before you go, we do have to tend to the gravekeeper outside. if it's not too much trouble."
>>
>>25841592

>>
>>25841568
"Good Doctor. Where do Akuma go when they die?

Have you tasked other parties of Akuma like me and my Family with seeking out the awakening Noah? Are there any notable Akuma within this general area that we ought be aware of?

How is the war between us and the Crimson Cross and the Exorcists faring of late?"
>>
>>25841568
What happened to your family dearest Doctor?
>>
>>25841592
All the posh people would be thought to speak Latin as well wouldn't they? I the red cross chaps can speak a bit as well. Or would know what a bible would look like at least
>>
>>25841706
let's not do this right now. we're already treading on thin ice by being as individual and downright odd as we are.
>>
We might want to consider handing the bread to the Doctor. Alice seems a bit unresponsive.
>>
>>25841758
reffering to the "where do akuma go when they die" bit.
>>
"Good Doctor, Have you tasked other parties of Akuma like me and my Family with seeking out the awakening Noah? Are there any notable Akuma within this general area that we ought be aware of?" You ponder aloud as you bake the bread within your oven.

The doctor regards you and Morgan, considering his response for a moment, you had thought better of it to ask him where Akuma go when they die, at least for now.
"I have tasked a few others, though many of your kind aren't quite as..." He rolls his hand in the air, thinking of the proper word," Capable. They have tended to live in the wilderness like beasts, and few have survived to the time of reason, what-with this blasted Crimson order filling in the voids of the Exorcists.. I do have others seeking out my family, however few are fit to the task.. You being a shining example of how they ought to be, peculiarities aside.."

"What has happened to the Family if I may ask? This has to do with the Crimson and Black Orders, yes?"

The Doctor sighs, as though he has many years upon his shoulders," Indeed, it is because of them that we've been pushed so far back in our war... Our last generation had been successful in the beginning... however as the age dragged on, we saw that the humans were gaining ground with their Crimson order increasing in number and successfully killing and quarantining our numbers. Even the plague of ten years ago faced difficulties with the keen rise of doctors bearing this mask of mine and the Crimson purging those that could not be cured or suspect of being demons.
They are in fact damned close to being demons themselves.

I do hope that this generation can bring a turn to this tide... we must gather the whole family together and create footholds to turn the tides.. I hope I can count on you for this."

You bow again with great respect," It must be hard for you to recount this tale, my master... As always, you have my body for this war. I will do all that I can..."
>>
The doctor nods," Indeed you will."

A short time further passes asnd you pull out an exceptional long baguette from your oven, baked to a dark perfection before handing it over to the Doctor, Alice only perking up as she senses it will soon be time to leave.

"You have my thanks dear Faefnir. And you take good care now, dear Maitora." The Doctor's voice is gentle, once more, and polite, as it should be.

"Is it time to go now? It's almost time for our tea! Oh, and is Maitora coming? I wasn't paying much attention, sorry, say is that bread? Smells amazing, we should slice it up into croutons for a salad-"

"Indeed. We are leaving, though I'll need to be back here for the dear gravekeeper later tonight, if that would please you, Alice."

"I don't mind, so long as we're not late for tea, Maitora, are you coming? I'd simply love to show you to the others in my world." Alice's smile splits her face and her eyes cross into the realms of a very identifiable madness once more.

Morgan looks to the doctor, whom nods, and then to you," Faefnir, I will be back this evening at The Lady's Rest, secure a place for my workings and find me a test subject to begin on right away." The Raven-haired woman smiles to you, and you incline your head respectfully.
"As you command, My Lady Morgan."

She leaves your side for the first time in days, walking forward to the doctor and Alice.

The girl hops up and down, clapping her hands madly," Oh joy, oh good! Excellent!"
Calming a moment, she pulls a tiny hat out of nowhere and throws it on top of Morgan's head," Everyone wears a tine hat to tea. A bare head insults Mr. Hatter and we can't have that, we simply can't." She then waves her hand before Morgan has a chance to say anything and she falls, presumably into a hole. The girl giggles and hops down after her.

The Doctor tips his hat to you," In time Faefnir, take care!" He walks over to the hole and slowly drifts down.
>>
You approach with a bit of curiosity and find a pulsing echo of shifting colors down this slide. It hurts to look at, and you feel like... your brain is itching?

Your eyes lock upon it as a mad smile slowly works itself onto your face, only for it to finally close up and you find yourself embracing the colors of reality again.

What in the devil was all of that about?

[X] Slap the priest awake(Or a gentler method.)

No need to be harsh to a loyal servant of the Good Doctor. Gently shake him, prod him a few times, no need to really hurt him.

Once he's awake we ask about a nice, preferably soundproof, place to put Morgan's workshop. Ask if the Church has a usable basement or if we'll have to move to the mausoleum.

Also, he's a Priest. Ask him about the local Crimson Cross presence, if there's an Exorcist in the area and what sort of Innocence they wield if there is one. Ask more about the town politics and so on.

Alone and with the itch in your brain slowly fading away, you realize that you have things to do, specifically in the now.

You walk over to priest James, finding that he's smiling uncontrollably and he has... pitched a tent.. from whatever Alice has done to him.
With a roll of your eyes, you grab the man by his shoulders and stand him up with your inhuman strength, looking the sod over on either side of his face.
You give him a gentle shake, however he does not wake.
With a malicious smile, you let the sleeping man fall back to the floor with a thud.

"Ow! Oh, that hurt." He rolls back and forth holding his head for a few minutes as you look around.

The church is pretty fancy. The pews are carved by what must be no less than expert artisans. The church is set out of layered stone, giving testament that it will stand the test of time, and it even bears stained glass windows and paintings portraying angels doing malicious deeds.. There is one in particular that shows an angel stepping on a man in just about ever painting.

Light shines through the stained glass in this early afternoon, and the artist in you can appreciate the beauty to some extent. Doesn't make you not want to spit and set it on fire, however it does give you some calm.

The pastor finally recovers and stands before you, holding his head with a bit of pain still," D-did the family leave? It was so nice to be in their presence once more.. I.. Ow.. Oh... I hope he was indeed pleased..."

Your patience for this groveling human is beginning to wear thin," He was indeed pleased, and they left for a bit of a family reunion... Say, why do you work for the good doctor, what's your angle?"
>>
The priest regards you with a smile not short of demonic, and that's saying something,' I only seek to please the Good Doctor in his efforts.. The dear Alice has shown me the truth within my dreams.. There will come a day when god burns, and mankind may decide their own fate!"
He raises his arms up into the air, praising the Doctor like a fanatic," One may say, I seek to join the winning side, nay, I seek to support the side that is truly righteous!" He waves one of his arms down dramatically," Sacrifices must be made for the greatest good of Mankind.. and I ... I have been chosen as such by the one that would lead us all.." He brings an arm before his diaphragm and bows while expelling a breath through his teeth, before returning to a perfect, priestly posture. You can see the madness in this man's eyes now as he's cast off his facade before you... You.. almost feel a kinship with the man's sense of justice.. he... he understands what is truly right...

He offers you a hand, with another bow," If I may aid the favored tool of the master in any way, you need only ask, and I will be there."

This human...
"I seek a place for the Lady Noah's experiments... We will be using live humans. What would you suggest as an ideal place? We can't have it getting out after all.."

James stands straight and tall once again, considering the question deeply," Indeed, that is an uncommon request... Well.. I'm certain you've considered the use of a Mausoleum just outside.. Unfortunately we are not a church of the south, near london.. I've heard tell of their basements being more kin to catacombs.. No.. the best thing I'd have to offer in my very own church would be a modest basement. Only I and the church's helpers go down there as it is.. And the helpers are dear tools, much like yourself.."
>>
>>25842864
"Why not both. For the time being we'll use the basement as Lady Noah's workshop and if we need more space, we will expand to the mausoleum."
>>
>>25842922
>>25842864
This sounds good to me.
>>
>>25842864
You know Duke, using our power and our family we could probably dig a deeper basement. We would need some akumas with a working knowledge of masonry and carpentry however.
>>
>>25842864
"If there is noise down in the basement how much would be heard up above?

I do not know of the experiments that will be taking place there, but I hazard a guess that it will be loud at times."
>>
You raise an eyebrow," Oh?" You can't help but begin to wonder already at the power and personality of those he refers.. Further... There is the possibility of one of your own family joining here..

"And what of the Crimson order's presence? I've only recently arrived, what of them?"

James smiles and sits down into one of the pews, clapping his hands, and yielding the presence of two Sisters appearing from a back-room. You can sense their power... Both of them are level twos..
James speaks, as the two walk before you, sadistic smiles as they seem to understand what you are as well." These two have been given to me at the esteemed Doctor's command... Sisters Josephine and Elizabeth.. It is my honor to have them with me, and also the reason why the Crimson order's presence here has grown so strong. They investigate disappearances, deaths, and console families that have had loss. Most troublesome for our good work.. Say, do I smell bread in here? Smells lovely.." He pauses to sniff at the air, and you smile with great pleasure... Though a human like himself does not have the correct... 'palette.'
He waves off that distraction," If you have others with you, I'd advise that they be very careful. The order cannot cover everyone, however they can be thorough should they catch evidence for investigation. Ah, and to my knowledge there are ten Crossed Knights here at the moment, if you are unfamiliar with them, they are the naughty ones that are skilled at magic to subdue those that do the good work, like yourself.. I would be wary of that. They are trained to kill."

"I am familiar with them already.. Thank you for the concern. Though, if we were to set up shop here, how much noise would be heard from below?"

James smiles slyly," Well, very little if my memory serves correctly.. and during mass, you'll find that I give... VERY loud sermons... Can't hear much else over my voice. I doubt you'll have any trouble, with them. In fact, you have my word."
>>
>>25843001
this.
make sure it is sound proof. then make improvements to the place if any necessary.
>>
Next time we see the Duke we should ask about that man in the tavern we met.
>>
>>25843066

>>
>>25843066
>>25843070
well since we already asked the question about sound.
go and check the basement yourself.see if you can make any improvements to the place.
>>
>>25843075
Who cares, after getting attention from the order he's good as bread. The order are doesn't play nice.
>>
>>25843066
So no Exorcists that he knows of? That's a relief.

Well we ought to properly introduce ourself to the Sisters. Give them a warm smile and a light bow, they ought to return with a curtsy.

"Good tidings to the both of you, Josephine, Elizabeth. It is a pleasure to meet you.

I am Faefnir the Baker, though in public Jacob would be more appropriate. I'm here with my dear Family and often act as escort for the Lady Noah Morgan."
>>
He lean in upon the man as he reclines upon the pews, letting a growl carry through your voice, and your jagged chainsaw teeth show" I had better. Should Morgan find herself in danger, I'll be sure to flay the skin from your bones..." Your eyes transform into black pits amidst your anger," This is no laughing matter either.."
You smell the fear from the priest as it shows upon his black robes, as he's visibly shaken. You notice that the two other "Sisters" have taken a very pleased smile. "I-I, will certainly do my best, and the sisters will turn away anyone attempting to investigate a-any strange sounds.. Yes.. I would not want to displease the Doctor... No, not at all..."

Your face turns back into a very human smile, one that you'd even give to your family as you clap a hand upon his shoulder," Very good! I'm glad we have an understanding Comrade! Very glad!"
The priest laughs nervously...

You turn to the two Demon-sisters with a proper and polite bow,"Good tidings to the both of you, Josephine, Elizabeth. It is a pleasure to meet you.

I am Faefnir the Baker, though in public Jacob would be more appropriate. I'm here with my dear Family and often act as escort for the Lady Noah, Morgan."

The one to the left, with a slight crook in her nose, and a fair face despite that, smiles and gives a bow," I am Josephine, dear Faefnir. and from what we heard of the Doctor's praise, you may indeed be one of the best of us. It is an honor to be in the... presence of one so.. Favored.." Her voice is steady.. though you get the feeling that she might not like you yet beyond your terrifying of James..

The other one, with a lock of Black hair escaping her habit, brings a hand up to her mouth as she speaks, concealing her mouth," And I... Elizabeth. How many does your family number? What of their.. levels? I sense you at least are level 2? The way you carry yourself would be.. a testament to that no less."
>>
"My Family numbers... seven at the moment.. three level 2's... I'm presuming you are the same as well?"

"Indeed, we are both second level," Josephine replies.
"We have been together for some time as well, we... work well together, to say the least.." Elizabeth smiles at Josephine, yet their expressions take on a bit of ice when they look to you...

You make note that they may be too powerful for you to forcibly command right now..

Aside, you have business to get to.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

After checking up upon the arrangements, you find them satisfactory, if anything, the Mausoleum can be an extension of the lab or a disposal unit, whatever Morgan wishes to do with it. You and the family may be able to create some rapid expansion at the cost of integrity, however it could potentially bring the floor of the church in if done poorly..

Well, the "lab" is secured, and the Doctor will be back for Edward...

[X] Get to know Elizabeth and Josephine?(Or take them with you?)

Spend some time with them, make them a loaf of Black Bread to share, they ought to like it, we'll replenish our Ash later.

Tell them of the gravekeeper and how he will be visited by the Good Doctor later in this evening and be taken under our wing. Ask them a favor, to keep an eye on him while we are not available and to ensure he does not bring unnecessary attention upon us.

Ask them of themselves, their stories that they are willing to share, in exchange tell them of our own stories and deeds and tell them more of our family.

Ask if they would care to join us in finding someone of quality and health for Morgan and if afterwards they would care to meet the Family. Suggest to them changing to something other than a nun's habit for this excursion.

We're going to be working with these two a fair bit in the near future, we may as well get along with them.
>>
I vote we upgrade Leadership the first chance we get. It would be unfortunate if we suddenly found ourselves betrayed by jealous others.
>>
>>25843430
let's get to know Elizabeth and Josephine, as in what their powers are. and maybe have them help us get a test subject for Morgan.
>>
>>25843430
>[] Get to know Elizabeth and Josephine first
We can pair this up with gathering information about the town. Ask them where their usual haunts are; they must kill now and again, what are their techniques for obfuscating their kills away from the eyes of the Crimson Order?
>>
>>25843554
Or a tax collector.
>>
>>25843430
[X] Get to know Elizabeth and Josephine?(Or take them with you?)

I'm sure they'll warm up to us, we're a baker after all and what better than a furnace to melt an icy heart.

We should ask them their powers and tell them ours so we can work well together in the future.

Also, they can tell us more about this town, hiding kills from the Crimson Order, and join us for an excursion if they so choose.
>>
>>25843634
but tax collectors are demons. we need humans
>>
>>25843644
>>25843570
let's not go revealing our power immidiately. and asking for theirs could sound like we're probing for weakness. ask them about hiding kills from the crimson order; it's practical, and it'll come in handy when we procure a specimen for Morgan.
>>
For procuring a test-subject, where would you like to look? And who would you like to look for?

>[] Crimson Cross Patrols...
>[] A Tavern
>[] Market-street
>[] Inns
>[] Lake-side
>[] Lord's Manor

>>25843700
If they are indeed jealous, what would be the best way to remove Faefnir?
>>
>>25843719
a tavern. we can look for a suitable loner and learn about town at the same time.
>>
>>25843719
market street, pass out baguettes and have the sisters take targets to church to "treat them" when their wounds open up
>>
So hey, in preparation for our battle with the Asher, what do you guys think we should upgrade?

It might be prudent to fully upgrade our Chainsaw Maw, since that's our only method of counteracting his ribbons.

Devil Saw and Backup Chains will let us cut his ribbons, and if we can manage to up our Maw to unlock the "Body of Mouths" upgrade, we'd have the ability to cut his ribbons in any position.
>>25843719
No Crimson Cross patrols. Lake-side seems best; we'd likely find vagrants and the like there. No one anyone would miss. Inns could work just as well; we could find someone leaving town and persuade them to take on an "extended stay".
>>
>>25843719
[X] Crimson Cross Patrols

If we're doing this we're making it a grand occasion.
As to how to remove Faefnir they would have to somehow sway one of the family to betray him. It's always the knife you don't expect that ends you.
>>
>>25843719
let's head for a tavern. look for someone new in town who won't be missed terribly. might even get in some gambling

Our family is probably our biggest weakness. Specifically the lower level members thereof.
>>
>>25843719
We could always lure a single guard to a secluded place, knock him out and bring him to the church under the guise of healing him.
>>
>>25843775
The Lady asked for a high class specimen. A vagrant is not high class.
>>
>>25843778
They probably keep a guard roster. How would you explain the inexplicable disappearance of one of their members?

Duke doesn't only list the good options. He lists down the horribad ones as well.
>>
>>25843719
[X] Market-street

There's likely to be a number of people going back and forth on this street. We identify a promising person, tail him until he's somewhere private, and then spirit him away.

>>25843757
I'm worried about that, if someone sees nuns taking someone away and them never coming back it may come back to bite us.
>>
>>25843719
>[] Market-street
A day trader or wandering merchant won't be missed for a while.
>>
>>25843807
Their order knows the risks that they run while on patrol, and we can take their form if it comes to it.
>>
Definitely no patrols/guards i think, getting so much attention on our first day at this place is not logical.
An inn or a tavern is a godd option to find someone alone, and will not be missed for a while.
>>
>>25843719
I request to know if there are any gypsies here.
>>
>>25843719
Wherever we go I think having the Josephine and Elizabeth with us would be good.

Hit either an Inn or a Tavern, preferably a Tavern, look for someone solitary, but in good shape, and he'll be our target. Don't hit anywhere near the Lady's Rest.

Afterwards we can introduce Josephine and Elizabeth to the rest of our Family.

>>25843887
Only if they are healthy gypsies, which will be a rarity.
>>
>>25843801
Did she? She only asked for a specimen.

Nonetheless, in our eyes, there's no difference between a vagrant and a normal towns-person aside from the level of their wealth. The way I see it, magical potential is more important. And those with magical potential are probably already with the Crimson Cross or outcasts hiding their abilities. So the Lake seems like a likely bet.

>>25843861
You don't understand. If we took one, we'd arouse unneeded suspicion. They know the risks. The risk is that they're killed by....an uncouth bandit? Or more likely, a demon. And if we assumed their identity, we'd be stuck in a position we could not maintain. It's the same reason why we decided not to impersonate the Lord; because we lack the knowledge to keep up the charade.
>>
>>25843898
come on, gypsies are very healthy. they make other people sick with their witchcraft and all, but they are healthy
>>
>>25843906
I was actually thinking about physical health. We must ensure that they survive whatever they are intended for.
>>
>>25843979
did she say we have to bring in healthy subjects? because if not, lets just bring someone in and see if they work out.
>>
>>25844012
Who says we even need to bring one? Let's bring at least 2 different kinds of subjects for her to experiment upon.
>>
>>25844057
eh.... I feel like that'd be a bit risky, but it would be nice, if we could pull it off.
>>
>>25844082
but we should start out small, with people nobody will miss.

so gypsies
>>
>>25844126
Maybe magic-using gypsies.

That would be best.
>>
>>25844143
But what if they try their gypsy magic?
>>
>>25844169
I don't wanna get cursed either, but sacrifices are needed for the Lady Morgan's research!
>>
>>25844126
so you say but gypsies are usually very tight among themselves even if they are outcat from the rest.
one person disappearing out of a town, depending on the person may go completely unnoticed.
one gypsy disappears and their whole band will try and look for them
>>
You instruct James to clean up the Church's basement to be more fitting for a surgeon, based on what you feel that Morgan has in mind for live subjects. As he gets to work, you see Elizabeth and Josephine head down to help him.
"No, you two. I don't suppose you would like to aid me in Lady Noah's request to procure a nice, live human specimen? Of course, with me being so favored as you've heard, I have no meed of sole credit, I'll give you two the glory you seek in the eyes of Miss Morgan if that is your wish..."

The two sisters stare at you with a tinge of interest, a smile upon Josephine's lips, even as Elizabeth covers her mouth.
Josephine shrugs her soldiers rather haughtily with an almost coy smile upon her lips," Why, however could we turn down such a.. noble offer, certainly.. We could help you indeed, Faefnir.."

Elizabeth blinks and you can almost see the edges of a smile beyond her hand," What sort of specimen does she seek?"

You scratch your head at that," Well, I'm not certain exactly what she has in mind.. however I had thought to bring her a healthy individual.. Perhaps one with magical potential? Though they'd likely be affiliated with the Crimson.."

Josephine laughs, a shrill ringing one," Well, it would indeed be a danger to get one of them.. however... I'm sure we could find some traveler among the market street, or a vagrant sleeping beside the lake... Apostates are indeed difficult to find though.. I am unsure if there are any in Florin as of now.."

Elizabeth speaks up now," We need to change into different clothes. We'll be a moment. Decide where you'll be going..

Fishermen tend to be healthy as they work hard and have their choice of a catch, plenty of protein. And Gypsies are one of the few places we could find those with magical potential that are unlikely to be with the Crimson. We can get more than one of course if we see good possibilities.

A vagrant, fisher, or on the off-chance that gypsies have stopped by in Florin.. Yes, why not.. the lakeside is as good a place as any.

Elizabeth and Josephine return from their little little session of changing, wearing far more normal clothes for their little.. excursion.. However, you do notice, that Josephine dresses like more of a tart than even Madeleine might find tasteful, the cut of her collar going into a low V, her hair done up and some powdered makeup making her look quite unlike the sister of the church.
"Please, call me Jacqueline whilr we're out and about.. It's an... alias I use..."
Elizabeth is dressed plainly, extremely conservative, in fact, buttoned up and very respectable, she brings her hand up to cover her mouth as usual,"Likewise, call me Lisa in town.. It'd be no good if we were closely connected as the sisters of this place."

The three of you set off with your grim intent in tow.

It takes some time, monitoring those along the lakeside, finding that with the lake frozen over at the edges, there aren't quite active fishermen unless they break up the ice around their boats with picks.. a very dangerous act...

This does however give you the fortune of finding gypsies that have been stranded along the shore, their boat locked in the ice of the lakeside... Aside from them, there are vagrants that have taken to doing some ice-fishing, and others that seem to be crashing in the boats.

Elizabeth.. err Lisa, and Jacqueline seem to be awaiting your choice for a guaranteed target..

The gypsies give you glares as strangers.. the vagrants upon the ice and among some little used buildings the same.. The would-be fishers are nowhere to be found however..

>[] Vagrants upon the ice..
>[] Warehouses.
>[] Gypsy camp...

Jacqueline chuckles about how she enjoys breaking the ice and pulling the vagrants under..

You notice that there are a few crimson knights walking the docks, one bearing the cross of a mage.

>>25845078
hm... we shouldn't go with going after the vagrants with Jacqueline, because we need them alive... and the gypsies are all in a group (as usual) and we can't haul off large groups...

we could lure a vagrant with Jacqueline, looking like the tart she is. this would not work on gypsies
>>
Well, if we have to hit the Crimson Cross, how about this. We destroy the fishing village a day away with Schwere, Kama, Wendel and Kralle and leave a few survivors to run to Florin. We will kill whoever we find slow, to lure the Crimsons to rush out to hit the assault. After they leave to try to stop the fishing village group, the rest of us will move out and trail the Crimson, turning their assault into an ambush. So what do you guys think?

It would be easy for her to cause a boat to upset in the ice in a manner that looked purely pedestrian and normal, take one or two people who are thought drowned, and take them out of the water a distance away no one the wiser.

As for us, I say go for
[X] Gypsy camp...
and ingratiate ourselves with them. We might not get anyone tonight, but if any split off we can give a signal to Lisa and keep them distracted while she takes them away.
>>
>>25845078
How many gypsies are there? Are they all sticking in one group or are they spread out? Do any ever wander off?
>>
>>25845334
2 things:
1. it's cold, the vagrants she grabs will more than likely get hypothermia or drown.
2. Gypsies are NOT going to let some random stranger get close to them. they are a very tight-knit group
>>
>>25845564
It depends on how long they're under water. If she can get them under, move locations, and get them out reasonably quickly they will neither freeze to death nor drown, they might be unconscious, be they'll be fine.
>>
>>25845615
also, it's the middle of the day, and she will likely have to transform. best save that idea for night.
>>
Pulling away from direct view of the humans, you speak with Jacqeline and Lisa, formulating a plan.
"So, Jacqueline, you're comfortable in the water?" You say with a raised eyebrow from what she had alluded to earlier.
With a roll of her eyes she turns her back to yours, nearly wiggling out of her clothes," Why... yes... My true form works quite well in the water... part of why I had been stationed here. losing a man or two to the lake every week or two is considered an unfortunate accident, rather than cause for a demon. The Order cares little for vagrants anyway, few of them have true friends..."
"Well then, I'd like you to-"
"Drag one of the men to the shore? Surprised you're smart enough to realize that I should do that." Her tone is icy and quite frankly, bitchy. "Of course, this is for a lady Noah after all.. I can do that task alone.. do what you will aside then, I'm off.."
"What of dragging a cold man-"
"Through town? Hmm.. I'll have to switch my clothes back to my habit.. a Sister's kindness to a nameless vagrant would draw little attention.. Good point..."

>Jacqueline leaves to change once more and procure a vagrant..

With the other gone, Lisa looks to you, the coldness in her eyes leaving somewhat, as she brings her hand up to speak," Well thenm there should still be things for us to do, what say we check out those gypsies? They've been here for the better part of winter, squatting.. It may be a bit hard to though.. Outsiders are often only welcome if they have money..."
You give her a shrug,"If they have magic that the Order's overlooked then we need to get close to them.. especially to find out when they might wander off for pickings...

Lisa seems to ponder that for a moment," Well, if you'd really like to see how they are, then be my guest... I'll watch the movements of the Crimson while you play with the vagabonds.

You begin to approach the gypsies, suddenly wishing you had a more appropriate disguise...
>>

[X] Try to entice the gypsies into gambling.

Gypsies love gambling, and we haven't indulged this vice of ours for a while. Don't win too much, start by letting them win a bit, and then we can start winning. Keep an eye out for them cheating, be willing to cheat subtly as well. Between our Agility 5 and natural Luck we ought to do just fine.
>>
>>25845729
give a baguette to the children. they shouldn't have any old wounds to worry about, then try to entice the adults into gambling.

also:
>>25845754
yes. they'll cheat. we'll just cheat better.
>>
>>25845729
[X] Gambling

For wagers offer them a baguette. We can do as was suggested above and take them to the church for treatment.
Make sure to switch to the secondary disguise so as to ensure that they can't trace it back to us.
>>
>>25845802
>>25845786
I'm worried that using a baguette will be extremely unsubtle. If their wounds start opening immediately after eating our bread than it'll be suspicious as hell.
>>
>>25845818
agreed, we should test it in a more controlled environment... Perhaps Lady Morgan will allow us to do so?
>>
>>25845818
I wonder, did the duke mention that the baguette effect applied only to physical wound?

It would be funny as hell to see a human eating a baguette and remembering a bad breakup.
>>
>>25845818
that's why I said children. they shouldn't have any old wounds. people bawling their eyes out would be rather un-subtle as well. Rule of the majority though.

Damn near unanimous Gambling...

Would you like to stay as Jacob, or use the disguise of Rickton Asher? (Taking off crimson armor before-hand however...)
>>
>>25845883
why not
>>
>>25845883
Rickton sounds like it'd be fun assuming we can find somewhere private to change. It's an easily disposable identity if things go south.
>>
>>25845883
Use the rickety disguise. We can't have them describing us to the guard.
>>
>>25845865
that's a good point... the discription from the pastebin says "When consumed by humans, old wounds open."

>>25845883
Rickton without armor.
>>
>>25845866
we don't know that the children don't have old wounds. besides, the gypsies won't take food from us, they'll suspect it's poisoned

You pause in your approach some distance away and duck between buildings, seeking out an empty warehouse to change. You find a chest of sorts in one and promptly shift into your Rickton disguise and change out of the armor, leaving a luxurious red tunic with golden embroiderie and a golden belt holding up rich brown wool pants.. You almost grimace at the fact that he had such wealthy attire... You actually rather appreciate it.. though it wouldn't fit Jacob, this man's too large...

With a look in the reflection of the polished armor, you see that Rickton Asher was more handsome than you as well... You grimace at that as well.. that piece of shit human was literally better than your first form in every way save for the fact that he worked for the wrong side and wronged the wrong woman.

It is with a sigh that you figure that you may want to approach as Jacob, or consider approaching in these flashy, wealthy clothes..

>>25846195
Either [X] Revert to Jacob. or stay as Asher but try to either change clothes or dirty ours.

If we change to Jacob, take off our clothes, change to Asher, and change to Jacob's clothes that could work.

We don't want to seem too rich.
>>
>>25846274
why not, Duke said once something is "stored" we can duplicate it when we change, like how we took the armor off and can make Halberds now
>>
>>25846293
nope, lost the Halberd
>>
>>25846256

Now, you do have an accomplice... and if Rickton Asher isn't an isolated event of how corrupt the Crimson Order is.. it's doubtful they'll care about that.

>>25846293
That armor is made out of dark matter sustained by you. It can be taken off and such yes, however it'll fade away once you've gone too far or cancel the disguise. Only your Default disguise stores "Real" clothes.

The halberd was an Akuma weapon and recorded to your own core, allowing you to manifest it along with the rest of your body.

>Evil Parascience!
>>
>>25846339
oh, we kept it? sweet.

also, now that I think about it, let's do that. grab a woman, and take her through the back alleyways.

>>
>>25846339

>>
>>25846339
Hmm, armored Asher is tempting. However I say we start as unarmored, gamble with them, get to know them, and see if we can't identify any of them who are good candidates for the taking. If any seem weird, magical, special, interesting we take note of them.

Then we come back as armored Asher and force them to come with us with Lisa and/or Jacqueline as our accomplice.

It'll pit the gypsies against the Crimsons more, them never being seen again won't be odd, and who would believe them or stand up for them?
>>
>>25846339
Does this mean we could pass the halberd around when we meet up with our family again? It would be nice if they had secret backup weapons in case of emergency.
>>
>>25846432

>Anti-piracy laws have been in effect since the year 1400.

>Huehuehue.
>>
actually, I say we just go unarmored Asher, and don't try to drag people away as armored Asher. If we run into a Crimson Cross as Armored Asher, it will cause HUGE problems.

let's just gamble with them, distract them when one goes off alone so Lisa can get him.
>>
>>25846483
Well for the running into Crimson Cross while we're AA that's what Lisa is for, right now she's keeping tabs on the ones in the area so before we do anything like that we can check with her and make sure the coast is clear.
>>
>>25846630
um, hello? we can't expect them to have our backs 100% she might lie to get us in trouble. don't trust non-family akuma so easily
>>
An evil thought dawns upon you as you pop open the chest once more to look at the armor... it might be worth it to dress up nice more, wouldn't it? You smile at that and throw the lid shut.

You push that idea to the back of your mind for now, you need to see if there are potential subjects first... and being seen as a member of the crimson could raise problems... at the very least, it's not your primary form..

It takes a silver tongue and flashes of coin to get in among the gypsies for a bit of gambling... They are wary of you at first, however you get the feeling that your rich clothes and willingness to gamble away coin makes them push away their suspicions.

You act a bit rough, but savory as a man, much unlike the real Asher did in life...

You swear that they're cheating however you relax in the gambling and break even at the end much to their surprise.

The gypsy troupe at least seems to warm up to you, however you feel all of their eyes upon this stranger the entire time. From the women, the children, and the men alike.

From what you can see, there are around twenty to thirty within this traveling group, likely their smaller number being why the crimson have left them alone, or perhaps they've taken pity? You'll need to learn what the deal is between the two...

You notice that Lisa has been chatting with men upon the docks and even gone out of her way to speak directly to some members of the Crimson, keeping much of their attention away from the rich man that's gambling with gypsies.

By the end, you learn none of their names, you see a couple of attractive women, the though none of them seemed to want to show the slightest hint of magecraft for fear of being taken for apostates..

They may be a tough egg to crack, though it may be worth to gamble with them more in the future. They let you in at least.

Further into the evening, you hear a man yell as he falls into the ice... Likely the handiwork of Jacqueline...
>>
>>25846670
She might dislike us personally, but I don't think she's going to do anything to fuck up this operation or go against Morgan.

If we were the only ones with our asses on the line then yeah, don't trust her. But if her ass, her Sister's ass, Morgan's fine and noble ass, and all of that is on the line, I think we can trust her not to fuck it up intentionally.
>>

You put a hand up and excuse yourself from the gambling, having gained at least some kind of trust, or at least roused the curiosity of this gypsy troupe.. perhaps filthy gypsies... aren't all that bad... They've been rather amicable for you being outside of your family...

You draw away and discreetly change back into Jacob, drawing out a deep sigh with your breath hanging upon the air... You watch it for a moment, marveling at it... A moistness that hangs upon the air... Likely, you just never noticed it before, you shrug and whistle for Lisa to come over.
After a time, she manages to pull away from the people she's been cavorting with... You notice that the entire time, she's had her hand over her mouth, as usual... How odd...

"Well, how did it go? Any of interest?"
You give the woman a shrug and a second sigh, less dragged out than the other," Their guard was up the entire time, none of them spoke of anything of that sort, and none did anything. Cards and dice, we gambled, I came out even despite all their bloody cheating."
Lisa blinks at you and gets a bit closer to stare at you intently," Say... I didn't see you over there.. when did you..."
You smile at her," I've got a second skin, perhaps you should upgrade?"
She tilts her head to the side," Ah, that sort of thing isn't for killing though, it's a waste of energy to evolve that way... Though as the Doctor's favored... there may be something in being.. nonconventional, hm? Say, what's dreaming like anyway?"
You recall the dream you had and shake your head," It's really nothing special, kind of annoying really... freaked me out at the time, thought I was going to die."
Lisa goes silent.
Seems the talking's over," Let's go... We'll visit your sister at the church, you two can meet my family and bask in the glory of Morgan with us, how's that sound?"
Lisa says nothing more... really time to go then...

At the church, Lisa had her victim effectively resuscitated, though a bit chilled and still unconscious.. She had been gloating about her specialized venom that puts people in a near death state, making it far easier to transport them and keeping them alive for extended periods of time even through the water...

An oddly convenient ability... you begin to wonder what her demon-form is exactly.

The two's power remains an enigma, however you brush it off. No need to worry about it right now.

Jacqueline and Lida remain in their non-church clothes for the meeting at The Lady's Rest.

The floor of the inn has come to life this night, with many patrons, those that are bunking here, or simply have come for the drink.

It stings your memory as you almost expect to find Ivan singing with a bunch of drunken men or otherwise raising up some kind of drunken merrymaking...

Another sigh is drawn, yet you do find that Madeleine is serving drinks in a lowcut barmaid's dress, and dancing, flirting, and otherwise enchanting the male patrons as she would have it...

Schwere is at a gambling table, staring at cards eagerly as you see very few coins on her side... you'll really have to get around to helping her with poker...

Armbrust is drinking with other men, one with crimson marks on his armor, the rest, plain guards-garb. None of them wear helmets, and despite his usual stoic demeanor you think you can actually see a smile upon his face, especially when he catches sight of you. He doesn't wave however.

Kama and the children are nowhere in sight upon the floor of the inn... You find it likely that they've already retired to their rooms...
>>
>>25847739
We really should teach Schwere to gamble. She can't be losing money all the time.
>>
>>25847778
>>25847739
Let's show 'em how it's done. our luck will prevail!
>>
You DO however find Morgan's tall and lithe figure dressed in slightly more elegant clothes than before... still rather plain, as one would expect from those she travels with, however cleaner, newer, not so drab... They actually hold the color of green and a nice dyed black with her leathers. The combination actually looks rather nice against her fair skin, brown eyes, and raven hair.. THat is, you can't help but notice.

She drinks lightly of the wine, a slight knowing smile upon her face as she must figure that it's from Ruinebriar.. A new rarity as one may call it.

Lisa and Jacqueline immediately light up when they see the Lady Noah, if not with joy, they show their intrigue.

Morgan waves you over to her table, one that's been left noticeably empty, three seats to be exact.
>[] Sit beside her, playing up the facade that you had earlier.

We did say they would get to claim credit, and I assume that they will be quick to tell her of their deed. After which we can tell her of the area we procured, and head off to prevent more of the family's money from being lost.

What cover are we keeping? Did we tell the patrons of our supposed elopement?
>>
>>25847890

You take a seat close to Morgan and she looks over at you with a bit of pleasure by your presence.

And then Lisa and Jacqueline sit...
"Why hello my dear Jacob," looks to you," Who might these... lovely ladies be?" she gestures to the to the two, that have already begun to stare at her intently, or rather, Lisa is, Jacqueline has taken to staring at you with no small degree of resentment.
You let out a bit of a nervous laugh, and open an arm to introduce the two," These ladies here are..."
Jacqueline cuts you off, reaching across the table to shake Morgan's hand, only to receive a raised eyebrow and a stare," I, I am Jacqueline, and this is Lisa. We're..."
Lisa rolls her eyes, a hand already up to her mouth to cover it," We're related to Jacob. Share the same blood. Good to meet you. Morgan, yes?"

With a sheer lack of amusement to Jacqueline cutting you off, Morgan smiles to Lisa," Why thank you, it is good to meet you.."pleasure is in her voice, she turns to Jacqueline," and you.." It's gone.. You can see the dismay on Jackie's face written all over, and the gleaming scorn as she looks to you..

You clear your throat and lean a bit closer to Morgan, "Say, while I was on the look-out for that special task of yours, they helped me look, and even found us something, isn't that quite nice of them? I think they deserve some congratulations, especially Jacqueline. She did much of the work in acquiring that something.
>>
>>25848349
just as planned
>Jacqueline makes an ass of herself
>We come to her rescue by saying what a good job she did earlier.
>>
Jacqueline brightens up noticeably at your passing of credit. Morgan gently sips her wine, as she stares at the demon, slowly putting the glass down she interlaces her fingers and smiles splendidly," That, is quite the thing to hear. Jacqueline was it? Could I expect that you help me with that task in the future as well? I am aware that Jacob may have some difficulties with such a task.. simply not his forte, as capable as he is." Morgan's passing need for you hurts a little, however you see that's just the thing that Jacqueline needed to hear, her face beaming," Oh, oh yes, I will do indeed, it would be my pleasure!"
Lisa just chuckles at that..

"Ah, so two more ladies, dear Jacob! Whatever will you do to get the four of us drunk while Schwere loses at the table?" A familiar voice from behind you teases, as she sets a mug of ale before you, something soft pressing against the back of your neck as you see the arm reach over you. Your face grows warm, and it's not your oven.
"M-made-"
"No, it's Teresa!"
You turn your head and get your face smothered by her pillows, along with the sight of familiar golden brown hair.. indeed... it is Madeleine...

I've been thinking. We need to avoid such a repeat of the embarrassing event that we had with the Duke this day.
We must have bread on us at all times, and to that end I suggest we somehow develop temporal powers that would allow us to produce bread faster. Essentially speeding up our own personal time.

When we escort Morgan back to the Church, we can leave her be with the two nuns while we go check up on Mr. Tucker; I'd rather he not go wild in the city, so it's imperative that we establish our command over him immediately.

Yeah, but we don't want it getting stale. Unless our goods are magically preserved.

With her arms wrapped around you, she wiggles back and forth," Oh dearest Jacob, with woman falling all over you, whatever will you do in such a hopeless scenario? Alas, I too am not fit for one lover.. All the delicious men in this room have their eyes upon me.." He feel the vibration of her body as she speaks, and suddenly you've got the distinct feeling that the eyes of most of the men in the drinking floor are upon you now.
You hear Morgan laughing, and even an unfamiliar laugh ring from Lisa's covered mouth.
"What's a woman to do when she's the prettiest in the room after all?"

"Excuse me?" That was Jacqueline.
You feel the movement stop. and Jackie's chair pushed out,"You think you're the prettiest woman in the room? I'll have to disagree, you're obviously more than a few pence short of a pound."
The challenge has been issued, it is only now that Madeleine lets you out of her twin's valleys finally, and only then.
You take a few exaggerated breaths as you see the two woman push their breasts into the other's, and begin bickering about who's outfit is cuter, demanding men choose which one is more attractive..And them it truly begins, the two of them have tables cleared, stand atop them and begin teasing men, seeing which of their honeys draws more flies. your mouth is agape for a moment as you realize what you've done by bringing two tart-factors together..

Morgan however, simply sips her wine and whispers into your ear with a smile," It is good to see you Faefnir, I'll be leaving for the "lab" shortly to ensure that I get to my subject soon.. Such things don't exactly keep well... would be a shame if I had to feed it after all.." She touches your cheek and gives you a light peck before leaving for the church.

So hey. What should we call Elizabeth/Lisa and Josephine/Jacqueline? For consistency's sake.

El and J.J.? For general purposes, we go with Jacob (Jacob Firebrand for when we need to give a fullname), but we can change it on a whim when we don't want to be recognized with an event we may have been involved with. So how about those two? Are there church names their 'standard' names? Or is it their names when they go about in town?

>>
You consider the unfolding situation around you, and immediately consider the fact that you may indeed be responsible for this.. then again, you just brought Jacqueline and Lisa here... You haven't done ANYTHING besides make these two meet each other. Couldn't that be enough after all?
You turn to call Morgan, causing her to stop not too far from the table, she looks to you and you turn to Lisa,"Dearest Lisa, would you be so kind as to escort Morgan home, I'll see to it that Jackie doesn't get into to much trouble."

The demon looks over to the Noah for a moment and nods her head, hand to mouth as usual," Why certainly. I'd be honored." She rises, walking over to Morgan's side,"My lady, is this well?"
Morgan gives her a slightly amused smile, looking at you one last time before leaving," Yes, you will do nicely."
The two leave into the night...

And now it's time for you to take control of this situation...

You rise up from your lone table, grabbing a chair and placing it inbetween the two teasing tarts, standing up upon it, you hold an empty mug," Alriiiight gentleman! The gauntlet has been dropped! Which of these lovely ladies will win the title and our hearts!? No, how far will they go!? Taking all bets, taking all bets! Coin makes them wild! You want to see them take it off, or do you want to see them take it ALL off?!" The drunk men are already throwing their coin in your cup as the two ladies start dancing, getting even randier and going so-far as to showing their thighs... So risky!

The proprietor kind of gives you an eye, though of course, you're staying here, so you'll likely be giving him this coin as payment later...

You had resolved to help Schwere with her gambling issue after this... spectacle. However you see that her gambling partners have since left, and the money that they gambled away... is now in your second mug..

It certainly is raining coin... and it only gets more fervent as the two "woman" finally get their overskirts off, revealing the riskier underwear.

You chuckle, you've already made a small fortune from this mess as you egg on the two demons into taking off their clothes once enough coin has been deposited.

You chuckle to yourself as both of your coin-mugs are about spilling," Alright! all bets are in! Ladies! Which one of you is the winner tonight?!"

You look back and forth as the men have gathered damned near equally around both tables. You shove the coin mugs in your oven, through your coat.
Raising your arms up," Hey, well what do you know!? You're both fucking beautiful! For this, for this -I- will make the final call as to WHO is the PRETTIEST in this room!"

Having come from the city of London to find love with a strapping young man, salt of the earth, she seeks to pay their way along the road and build the house that the two of them have always dreamed of!"
You motion then to Madeleine, "And if it's tails? We have our sing, dancing, Maid of Lin!" Coming from the North, to see what being in the southern parts are about, she was born and raised as a milkmaid, yet no more! She's her in our very own Florin to make something of herself!" You just about stagger on the stool, and with a severely drunken smile, imitated of all the other men, you raise the coin up," And if it's on the side! It's ME Jacob Firebrand! The stallion that's trotted into this town for a drink and beautiful women!" That last part elicits the laughs and sympathies of the drunken patrons...
"Here we go! Clear the floor!"
The men create a circle around you and you send the coin into the air, all eyes on it. Coming down with a thud... the result is clear.

"Heads! Jackie-lope will have her house! with her hubby! Tough luck Maid of Lin, you'll have your chance soon!"

Jacqueline cheers and gives the men a little encore as they gather around for the last shoe.

Madelrine pouts but you throw her a bit of a wink and she smiles as she gets down from the table,"Well, the coin didn't say that I won, but you did."

fear not, young lad, for there is no shame. WE ARE HORRIBLE MONSTERS
>>
A roll of your eyes tells little, though you wonder about this whole thing,"Say, I should probably bow out, I still have all of their coin..."
Madeleine puts a hand to her mouth as she suppresses a laugh," Oh, oh, oh wow, yeah, hey, I'll cover your escape, go to the rooms and have Kama hide the money." We'll take care of things here."
You give Maddie a quick hug," It's good to see that we're all doing well..
She's surprised at first, but giggles off her embarrassment."Oh, Faefnir... no need for that you know.. Now get going."

You head upstairs from the floor, stopping by the proprietor," Hey, in the morning I'll give you a cut, a good one. I won't show my face the next few night either, deal?"
The man stares at you for a few moments, before a sly smile breaks out across his face," It was a good show, wouldn't mind others like it. Think they'd appreciate pay as 'working girls?'"
You fake a scoff at the very idea," Why, I think they'd do it for free if you could. You put two tarts against each other and it just, it just increases in intensity! We saw their breeches man, they showed us their breeches!"
The keep just smiles and nods," Aye, that they did..."
You leave the man as he looks caught in a daydream and flee upstairs before the drunk mob catches wind of you. Knocking on both of the rooms you rented out, you hear reply at the second, and find Kama within, the two children tucked into bed while she fiddles with her fingers, seeming to not know what to do with herself. "Ah, so it's you, Fae- I mean, Jacob, we're going by human names, yes?" she whispers.
>>
>>25849678
So I suppose we'll be spending our time back in the Church/Mausoleum?
>>
>>25849678
"Either is fine if you prefer, but in public Jacob is just fine Kama. How are you and the children?"
>>
>>25849678
We should get get her something to knit.
>>
"For now, yes, what is yours?"
Kama seems surprised for a moment and mulls it over to no avail," I... I don't know.. I don't know what to do with myself besides take care of these children... Faefnir... I.. I mean.. Jacob..." You come closer to the nervous demon, she looks at you, her eyes confused... and hungry.
She shakes her head, whispering," Before, it was just about killing, killing, cutting people off at their knees.. Then these kids came along... they came along and I stopped just thinking about murder and slaughter and all the excitement.. It was just about seeing them grow, taking care of them... And now..." She holds her hands to her head, her facilitated breath a panic," I, I just don't know who I am anymore, I don't know what to do.. I want to help these children but I just can't shake the feeling that.. that... I'm losing myself in the process..."
She looks up to you, nearly pleading,"What should I do? How do you do it? Part of me wants to farm, part of me wants to kill, part of me wants to be a mother, and I don't know what else there is... And.. I... Don't know how.. to be a mother..." She relaxes and looks down, trembling.

You can only guess at what spurred this on. The "children" remain "asleep" in bed, not stirring at her panicked words...

>[] Have you anything to say to her?
> Stay in the room
>Take her to the other
>[] Order her to suck it up and do her job.
>[] (Other)
>>
>>25849710
She's been knitting all day, I think.

Knitting may have become a quirk for her, like how baking is for us. And stripping for Madeleine and Jacqueline.
>>
>>25849748
[X] Stay in the room

Reassure her that we'll make sure she doesn't lose herself in her desire to be a mother, and that she will learn things as she goes along.
If we have any bread we should give it to her.
>>
>>25849748
Take her to the other....what? Other room?

>I'm losing myself in the process

I suppose this is the danger of having a quirk advance too far?

Anyway.

"Kama, these are your desires. There is no reason for you to deny yourself one to follow another. Embrace them all as aspects of your self.

But for now, perhaps you would be better off pursuing your other interests. The children have grown enough to take care of themselves; leave them with Armbrust for now and pursue your other wishes. Give yourself time away from them."

And I hope it's implicit that if she wishes to go kill on her own for a while, she should do it away from town.
>>
>>25849748
"Kama, relax. you're doing a wonderful job as it is. I don't know much about being a mother, but I do know about being a leader, and I imagine that they are very similar. you have to look out for your kids, do what you think is best for them, help them grow to there potential."
>>
>>25849748
"I don't think there is any sure way to do it Kama, I may certainly make it look easy but I had to try and fail several times. We kill, that is our purpose in service to the Doctor, but in order to kill we must first live. If you have no direction in life, find what makes you happy and do it. Whether its baking, reading, enjoying time with family, or simply helping them grow. That's what I think anyway"

"Kama, all of those parts are you. Taking care of young Akuma so they grow up into strong capable killers, that is you. Cutting human legs and knees like stalks of wheat with your sickles, that is you. The point I am trying to make here Kama is that what you want don't have to be seperate from each other. You just have to fit it together, and I and our family will help you do so. I wish Ivan was here. He would have been better at this."

Ah, I see.

Maybe we should offer to take her around town ourselves later on to help her get a job? How much older than us does she seem? We could pass her off as our own mother or as a sister/cousin who we're trying to help get a job in the town.

We radiate some kind of bizzare humanizing aura by treating them like Murder-People.
>>
>>25849947
Morgan seemed to imply in one of our discussions that the good Doctor changed up his design with us.

So Jacqueline and Lisa, who both seem like they're focusing purely on offensive power, are probably the older models. The rest of our family too, possibly. I mean. Devil's Luck is supposed to be the one talent we have that no other Akuma has, so it may be that whatever power grants us Devil's Luck may be responsible for our 'humanizing' effect on the Akuma we've surrounded ourselves with.
>>
>>25849987
Wait...wait we have plot armor. We have a FATE. Machines don't have fates. What if...what if...

What if we're humanity 2.0, inadvertently created by the good doctor in his quest to free humanity from the shackles of the hateful God?
>>
>>25850048
We don't have plot armor. No one does.
>>
>>25850068
We do. It's just made of leather instead of force-fields.
>>
>>25850068
Is that not exactly what Devil's Luck does? We don't have plot armor in the sense that we always win for bullshit reasons like an anime protagonist, I mean like plot armor in that there is SOMETHING protecting us from bad stuff.
>>
>>25850090
We have plot armor in the sense that we're special, yes.

Though Devil's Luck is apparently powered by a very real and, possibly, sentient force.
>>
>>25850090
We came VERY close to not winning with the Asher. Had we fucked that up, we'd be just as dead as Ivan is.
>>
Rolled 10

My personal theory is that certain akuma are starting to evolve, in a similar manner to the way that the innocince evolved in the cannon; independent of it's origin's controll. The fact that it's starting to happen to other akuma is farther evidence supporting this: we were the first (like lenalee, or allen, it's kinda debatable who's innocince really evolved first) but now there's others such as mama kama (kanda would be the cannonical example. {I suspect he was also the inspiration for the asher})
>>
You put a hand upon her shoulder and keel next to her, looking up and into her eyes as she begins to calm down, at the very least she's not crying the black tears that you all did in mourning for Ivan... you wish he were here right now.. Your heart heats up with your desire for revenge.. It's only with a deep breath that you calm that feeling and focus on the here, and the now, on Kama...
"Kama.." You begin, and she looks at you, biting her lip to hold back her confused tears.
"I don't think there is any sure way to do it Kama.. Sure, I can make it look easy now and then.. But I've had to try and fail a lot.. I'd say.. that being a leader is a lot like being a mother.. right?" She nods to you, titling her head a bit in the consideration of it.
"Y-yes, that sounds like it w-would be true."
You nod, decisively to her," Yes, indeed, it is true then. You've said it now. Do you think I made a good leader when we first met? When we had first gotten together?" She shakes her head slowly at that, and you continues," Of course not, I barely had a clue what I was doing and suddenly I was the leader, I don't even know why. But here we are, and I've gotten better at it every day along with making sure we're all happy, for better or worse, and even working out my own identity... It's not easy, just like losing Ivan wasn't easy... I still miss him.. I still wish he was here... I couldn't have become what... Who I am now without him watching my back. Hell, I'd be dead if it weren't for him..." And now your oil tears flow.. "We'd all be.. Kama..." hers have started as well, her chest heaving as the oil drains from her eyes slowly.. the most poisonous tears..
She nods her head, acknowledging her name.

"All of these parts of you, all of these desires. There is no reason to choose just one. Look at them all and we'll be here for you to help you. Embrace all these parts of yourself... Remember that you're not just a mother, like I'm not just the leader. I'm also the baker, the friend.
Pursue your other interests, and remember us... you'll be just fine.. The children? The children can take care of themselves. I've seen the way they look at you. They love you, but just the same they're not helpless."

Kama stops her sobbing and looks at you with her eyes wide open.
"L-love?" She touches your cheeks with her hands and stares into your eyes," They... Love?"

You freeze yourself... Uncertain of why you chose that word.. Why.. that word... You rise from your kneeling before her, and she looks up at you, a faint smile appearing on her face," I think.. I know what I want to be called..

"Well then Kama, what is your name?" Your voice is almost flat, stoic. To hide the confusion running through your processors.

With that faint smile,
" Claire. I'd like to be called Claire."

Saturday? Excellent. I'll get to participate from beginning to end.

Anyway, it's touching (in the sense that, while Claire meant nothing for us, we understand what she represents to us anyway) that she would name herself after our....soul. Which means, I guess, she's named herself after us?

Did we just get a little sister?
>>
>>25850263
The unseen knife is usually the deadliest.
And if you die from mere cuteness, they don't even need the knife.
>>
>>25850221
Claire, interesting name choice. Also, that girl needs a hug.

Did Kama know that our Soul's name was Claire?

I wonder how confused the Duke is by our merry band. I mean we've been dreaming, we're a lot closer knit than most Akuma, we talk about love, choose our own names, and are paralleling the Noah Family in an odd way. Was his intention to make an odd Akuma?

What can you tell us about the figure behind Devil's Luck?

We haven't had much screen time with Kralle and Wendel lately, how have they been doing?
>>
>>25850300
Since we're apparently going to be incognito in this town for quite a while, I think this will be a peaceful period in which we can settle ourselves in to get to know everyone better.

Gotta stock up on all these good memories....
>>
>>25850327
for when one of them eventually dies.
>>
>>25850261

Everyone shared what they remembered after Ivan's death. and Faefnir knows both Claire and Jacob's names due to dealing with Jacob's family, so it would've been said there.

>>25850275
A little sister, that'd be the best way to compare your relationship

>>25850300

Quite confused. Obvious initial interest when he first witnessed the band, however that in itself is normal.. If anything, what surprises him is that he didn't know that you were dreaming, there's a reason that he knows when to show up around you.

The being that is behind Devil'd luck is unrelated to God, and the Doctor. But it is something that should have been very familiar to you had your "life" gone another way.

As for Wendel and Kralle, they've been doing rather well, though I'm sure you'd rather see how they demon-forms are coming along, yes?
The nice thing is that out of the family, it's only Kama that's having an real existential crisis.
>>25850327
I plan for a time-skip in the near future, at least, to move past Morgan's experiments. She's going to be extremely important to turning this war around.
>>
>>25850400
I do hope the confusion doesn't inevitably lead to us on a lab table under the loving and marginally homicidal care of the Doctor and Morgan with our guts everywhere.
>>
>>25850400
>The nice thing is that out of the family, it's only Kama that's having an real existential crisis.
Yeah, understandable. She was so murder-happy at first. And kind of...flirty (like Maddie). Also combative (again, like Maddie). Having the kids around really made her settle down.
>>
>>25850243
Also, didn't forget this. The stats alter my DC like a tug of war with the standard 50 DC

Whichever side is in the positive for total stats based on plan of attack(both parties) and stat totals affecting, it gains a lower or higher DC with Faefnir in the positive or the Enemy in the positive, respectively.

In terms of strength as a level 2? Madeleine lacks the speed of the centaur. However her raw power and defense clearly surpass it.

She's your Tank. Also, despite Faefnir's melee weapon, his evolution has actually been much more of an agile magician than anything else. Durability and strength have remained low, with speed naturally high along with willpower and personality.

Oh, and personality affects your ability to bluff and otherwise BS people when I don't think your dialogue alone could necessarily pull it off... though you guys generally give very good dialogue. Color me humbled to have people give such detailed responses.

>>25850481
She still enjoys killing more than anyone in the family. She has a specific type of quirk that I'm surprised no one's called her out on... It's far less of a sociable one...
>>
For the family sheet's quirks.. let's say that if you guys get close, I'll write it down with ??? If it's on the spot or otherwise confirmed, they'll be removed.
>>
>>25850537
does she not outright kill people? but more just cuts them up and lets them bleed out?
>>
>>25850537
Cool.

We should totally devote some time to guessing stuff now.

Kama is Motherly??...but that's not right....Love/affection for children?

And I guess Morgan has a general affinity for magic AND science in general, being the Noah of Ability. Speaking of which.....was Alice using the Ark when she ported everyone out? Weird.
>>
>>25850570
actually, Road has the ability to make... well, roads between places
>>
>>25850511
We totally need to up our strength and max out our Maw upgrades for when we go up against the Asher again. It'll let us take care of his ribbons better, so that we can stop anyone from getting dragged away and killed....like Ivan....
>>
>>25850400
I wonder if Road can answer more about why we're dreaming. It does seem to fit into her domain.

>>25850472
Unlikely. Morgan seems to adore us, she told us we won her heart twice, and we may have gotten a third time in during the interim.

>>25850511
I think that's because we don't spend as much time with Kama, or Armbrust for that matter, as we should.

She is reasonably sadistic, that's not really odd for Akuma but she seems to take it to a higher level. But then again when told to go murder at the fishing village she smiled the most and has always been the most enthusiastic about it. So something along those lines.

>>25850570
I think she was using Dream, Road is the one of the family who can teleport around without the Ark, she can bring them into her little Wonderland as it is called now and then leave somewhere else from there. She's called Road for a reason.
>>
>>25850587
Oh, I forgot that she had two methods of travel.

Also, it's not completely unlikely that Morgan ends up operating us. We could get hideously damaged in a battle....and Morgan would work to fix us...make us better....she has the Ability.....

She likes making people shorter. So that they would be as short as children.

She likes harvesting them, like wheat on a field.

She likes cutting stuff because it reminds her of the hard work she used to put in the field. She loved working hard.
>>
>>25850640
I think Morgan would be rather annoyed if Road put her personal monster in Wonderland.

For Kama's quirk. It has to do with sadism, chopping off legs, and it has a great resemblance to cutting wheat for a harvest.

It also makes them shorter. Does she like short cute things like children and people missing their legs?

Or are you too tired to go on now? Gotta catch up on your beauty sleep now, Duke, if you're going to do another thread tomorrow.
>>
>>25850793
So I'm guessing Kama's Motherly trait was suppressed by her new form as an Akuma until she was able to express it against a couple of children who she wouldn't want to kill (because they were Akuma).
>>
>>25850793
Insufficient exposure is the serial killer's friend, after all.
>>
>>25850793
Hmm, Armbrust. He's an interesting one. Once again, we don't talk enough with him.

He doesn't talk much or show emotion, but it's a very different type of stoic than Schwere. He's more solid and dependable. He's a follower rather than a leader, first he followed Ivan, and in a lot of ways he lost the most when we lost Ivan, and now he's following us. He seems to hold more of a torch for Ivan than the rest of us.

So something to do with loyalty perhaps.

Oh, and Schwere. We haven't really thought about exactly how to quantify her quirks.

She likes Reading, but it seems more of a desire for Knowledge or something like that.

She's seemed stoic, but when playing cards she showed emotion, and she's become more emotional of late. It's less that she's unemotional, and more that she tries to avoid showing emotion, though she is much freer with them in front of us. I'd say Reserved rather than Stoic.

Also on at least two occasions that I can think of she's showed a decent bit of Guilt and Remorse, she's blamed herself when bad things have happened to us and the rest of the Family.

Just food for thought.
>>
>>25851027
She seems to enjoy gambling a little....perhaps she likes games in general? She's got the body of an apprentice and the soul of her master, so it could be the master's wish to have had a happier childhood. Or she likes games of Chance in general? A bit of Unpredictability in life is nice sometimes, especially when you've lived a monotonous life of a scholar.
