"It's not worth the risk to have you scout now. We should defend our current position first, and solidify our defenses." You told Tomoko.

"So, we're going to booby trap the school?" Tomoko asked curiously.

"Something akin to that, yes. Now, if you don't mind, I ought to get working on that. I'd tell you to be careful, but I'm certain Assassin will keep you out of trouble." You tell her.

"I shall." Assassin says softly.

"Have fun with the booby traps!" Tomoko adds as you leave. You toil away most of the day with Caster and Ayase, laying down a network to tap into the leyline and your generators to power your defenses. This time, you've decided to...

As night falls, your two Caster's are putting the final touches on the arrays. You quickly lie down and switch bodies to the boy that you'd acquired earlier. With that, you head up to the library, Sayaka following along in her spiritual form. As you're leaving, you practically run into Tomoko.

"Oh, there you are! I was wondering if you were just going to hide in your hole all night." Tomoko teased, a cheeky grin on her face. "So, let's go out and about and see what the town has to offer!" She exclaims, grabbing your hand and dragging you after her. You spend some time moving up and down the more populous streets, occasionally stopping in small shops and looking around, acting like any other young couple. When you're waiting as Tomoko tries some kind of dress on, Assassin appears in a shadowy corner next to you.

"It's strange...there's been no sign of anything strange while we've walked through town." She muttered.

"So, might that be because no one is here?" You suggested to Assassin. She shook her head.

"I'm having trouble telling where your Saber is. Something is suppressing the presence of Servants here. Muffling it." Assassin whispered.

"What? How big is the area?" You ask her.

"A block radius, at least. We haven't been been in it enough for me to tell where its edges are, and it seems slightly mobile." Assassin explains.

"Damn...Have you gotten any other strange feelings inside that area?" You ask her. She shook her head.

"Not really. Everything just seems muffled, and it makes it hard for me to sense other servants." Assassin clarified. As she says this, Tomoko comes out and tosses the dress aside.

"Is something wrong?" She asks.

"Not certain. Something is muffling the presence of Servant's in the area, and it might be another Servant." You tell her.

"Well, maybe we ought to bring the fight to them for once." Tomoko grumbled.

"We need more information before we do that. It's best if we try and locate and observe them first." You point out.

"True...Assassin?" Tomoko said, turning to her Servant. Her Servant gave a sharp nod and disappeared.

"We should get moving again. Don't want to be caught off guard, or anything." You tell Tomoko. The two of you leave the store and begin to walk down the street, Sayaka's comforting presence nearby you and on full alert now. As you pass an alleyway, Assassin steps out to greet you two.

"From some quick scouting, it seems like they're in the Courtyard Hotel, or a nearby building." She informed you two, "Beyond that, I cannot really pinpoint it down very well without entering the buildings and searching them room by room."

"Still, that's helpful." You reassure her, "We'll just mosey on over and see if anything jumps out at us." You add. Assassin nods, and disappears, and you and Tomoko turn to make your way to the hotel. Tomoko begins humming a song you don't know as you walk, and soon you find yourselves in front of the hotel itself. Tomoko suddenly stops humming and freezes.

"There's something big, here. Sleeping." She warns.

"What? How can you tell?" You ask her quietly.

"I can feel the immense shadow it casts." She whispers back.

Ask Tomoko to clarify? Can she tell anything about it other than size?

The status sheet still lists the Commando familiar. Didn't John kill it?
>>
Which of the three remaining Servants do we like for the one with a muted presence with the kid from earlier today? Does Musashi have anything in his legend that would aid in nondetection?

"Can you clarify that for me?" You asked her.

"I...I don't know how to describe it. It just feels like its a deep, dark shadow, bigger than anything I've ever felt before. It feels like it might be several times bigger than even Assassin's. It feels gaping and huge, like it's reaching out to devour everything." She said softly, shuddering slightly, "And...I think it stares back."

"It's watching us?" You asked, the hairs on the back of your neck raising in paranoia.

"No, not actively. More like it touches everything that enters its perception, then quickly loses interest? We're more like the Waldo in a Where's Waldo book. We're technically visible and being seen, but not necessarily noticed." Tomoko clarified.

"Yeah, I think we should leave, then." You mumble. Tomoko worldlessly nods and you both turn and leave as casually as you can. Occasionally, Tomoko shuddered slightly, but she seemed to relax once you were back on campus.

Have Saber and Monster get close enough to take a quick peek then come back. We need to figure out if it is in any way related to an enemy servant. Stress to Saber that her and Monsters safety is far more important than whatever;s there. Have them RV with Assassin on the way back so she can make sure they aren't tailed.

We need to figure out how to handle Sayaka. We've been steadily losing points with her since Mami's witchificaton.
>>
>>25824701
Also, make sure to check in with Ayase (we left her at a leyline, right?). I still think we should pick up a bunch of prepaid cells to give to everyone in the group.

Tomorrow morning, we should have Tomoko and Assassin get on that, and we can make a new scout golem. After that, I think we should check out where we lost saw John. Perhaps try to neutralize that particular loose end, and we just might be able to retrieve and repair our original body or get a DNA sample for Tomoko to grow us a new one.

Make sure that Tomoko disguises herself whenever in public from now on.
>>
"Actually, I'd like it if we spent the night together." You tell her. She blushes slightly, and you hastily correct yourself. "For safety reasons, of course!"

"Uh-huh, I'm certain." Tomoko says deviously, with a grin.

"We just need to stop by the leyline so I can have Sayaka and Monster scout the hotel." You add. Tomoko nods and the two of you are off. You notice that even though you're back on campus, she has yet to let go of your hand. After a quick chat with your two Psuedo-servants you head to Tomoko's room. Once inside, Assassin materializes and begins to cook a small meal up for you. "By the way, Tomoko, from now on you probably ought to disguise yourself whenever you head out." You tell her.

"What? Why, are you ashamed of me?" Tomoko asks with a smirk. You just give her a sharp look, and her smirk gets somewhat smaller. "Okay. I need the practice anyways." Tomoko concedes.

"Thank you. Also, do you think you and Assassin can make a run into town for some prepaid cell phones for our group to use?" You ask.

"I can deal with that tonight whilst you two sleep." Assassin says, setting a plate down in front of you with a lightly grilled hamburger.

"Thank you, it's much appreciated." You tell her. With that, you pass the meal with casual conversation before finally retiring to bed, girl and servant on either side of you. That night, you dream of...

Let's go with residual memories from the body that we're currently in before those get replaced with dreams of all of us living happily after the war, including the pseudo-servants.

We should clarify with Caster if it's possible to let the bodies loose again. I'm not 100% with Nick turning into an evil body-snatcher out of the blue, and it would be nice if we could erase any memories and let people go once we've found a new body solution (potentially based around Tomoko's increasingly useful powers).

That night, you dreamt of a lone girl, fighting and fighting as the people around her ignored her plight. Every morning, every day she would awake and put on her a smile for those around her, and every night she returned home to an empty apartment. And then, then she came upon people who would help her, stand by her. And for it, she was condemned to a brutal death.

And so it began anew, watching her suffer. Every time, a horrible death, each one as gruesome or painful as the last. Until one day, she snaps. Pushed the wrong way, told of the horrors haunting her every corner and she snapped. But now, without her humanity, there was nothing holding her back from collecting her friends.

And so, she set out to collect her new friends, when those she once considered closest again arrived, and again she was slaughtered, this time at the hands of her own compatriots. And still, you observe. It is a pitiable existence, and one that even you cannot help but feel a pang of regret over.

~After all, Mami was a most successful magical girl, and even better as a Witch. Tis wasteful to have her defeated at this point in time.~ You muse to yourself.

You awake with a gasp, and Assassin is peering over you curiously. "Are you okay? It seemed like you were having a nightmare." She remarked as Tomoko slept peacefully in the crook of your arm. On the table behind her is a plastic bag full of phones and phone cards.

"Have you and Tomoko been dreaming?" You ask her, carefully pulling yourself out of Tomoko's grasp.

"Yes. Since about the second or third night of my summoning, we have been sharing our dreams." Assassin answered softly.

"Well, I'm receiving some of Caster's memories. And it's...rough, seeing things through his mindset, sometimes. Knowing what he's done to the girls, sometimes. I understand it, I even agree with it on some levels...and it frightens me." You say softly.

"You are not your Servant, just as Tomoko is not me. It is your closeness that allowed you to summon him, but you are not him. . But...I will admit, I was afraid Tomoko would shun me when the dreams started. She seemed so different from me, cheery and happy. Instead, she accepted me for all that I am and I saw that she was not without her own flaws. She understands me on a level no one else can, and for that I am eternally thankful. I believe it is the same with you and Caster, though he does seem to be quite stoic, I feel he values you immensely." Assassin assured you.

"I see..." You mumble softly. Assassin lets out a soft sigh, and pats you on the head.

"Even if you are like Caster in many ways, you're still a good person in my eyes and in Tomoko's. You treat us with respect, you care for us, and you've shown that you're willing to stick with us through thick and thin. That is all that matters to us." She said softly, her eyes steely and resolute. Behind you, Tomoko yawns and stretches, parts of her bones and musculature shifting as she unconsciously ripples her body slightly.

"Mornin." She greets sleepily.

"Good morning." You return. Assassin steps away and begins to prepare a small meal for you and Tomoko. As you're sitting down for you meal, Assassin places a fourth plate and Sayaka materializes in its seat.

"We couldn't find a sign of any Servant in the hotel, and nobody seemed out of place." She said before you could even ask.

"Really? Damn..." You mumble. Over breakfast, she fills you in on her and Monster's explorations. They could definitely feel signs of a Servant and magic in the area, but were unable to pin it down due to its strength making it permeate everything. As you finish your meal, you decide to...

After breakfast, Tomoko leaves for class and you head to the library basement to have a conversation with Caster. Your cat like Servant greeted you as you descended the stairs.

~Greetings, Master. Everything is going well, I presume?~ He asked.

"As well as can be expected. I'm still alive, after all." You reply as you hand Monster and Ayase a phone each. "By the way, Caster...have you been having the dreams as well?" You ask him. He seems hesitant for a moment before nodding.

~Yes. It has been rather education to observe things through sensations and mind of someone of keen intellect who feels emotions as well. It has helped me to come to a better understanding of the complaints and messages of several of my Puella.~ He answers, ~Am I correct in assuming that you have seen several of my memories as well?~

"Yes. I have. Last night, it was your observations of Tomoe Mami." You said softly, "And I felt as you did on the situation."

~Yes. I imagine, from my understanding of your own psyche, that you feel pity for her. But, I too, do regret her loss. Every action I took that you saw took place in a different timeline. I made decisions with the information I had at hand at the time, and even then I....mourned the loss of such a valuable resource. I understand, and even expect that you wish to distance yourself from me. Humans, as a whole, cannot come to terms with my logic. But know that I do what I can for the betterment of everything in the universe.~ Caster explained softly. ~Best of luck, then. I am going to work a bit on the defensive lines.~ He tells you. You settle down for the night at the table, several tools and pieces of metal to begin crafting smaller, sleeker versions of your familiar. Through the day you manage to get a good six of them made, each the size of about a sparrow. They don't have all the capabilities of your original, but they're hard to notice and mobile. You carefully send them through a few motions, testing their abilities and scurrying them about the room. They all freeze when you hear the door to the library open and you see someone who you could have sworn was dead. "Monster!" You growl at the tall women descending the stairs, tensing up as you prepare fro the worse. Caster looks up from where he was working curiously.

"Huh? What? Oh, damnit." 'Monster' mutters as her form ripples and compacts down into Tomoko. "Sorry, I went out in town for a bit and you said to wear a disguise..." She said, trailing off slightly.

Wait a second... Is it at all possible we can create a metallic body to use as our own? There would be no better way to synchronize our element than with an elemental body. Then again, It has to be a LIVING thing we swap bodies with, doesn't it?

>>
>>25840559
What do our Familiars run on? We would probably require a large generator, which could be recharged at a leyline.
>>
>>25840607
I was thinking that we infuse a part of our magical energy into them. Like putting a finite battery in a charger while we lose some of that energy temporarily. If we somehow attach a Magic energy generator internally to our familiar, they should run indefinitely as long as they have the resources to keep the engine running.
>>
"Tonight, we're going to set up some guards." You tell her, gesturing to the familiars as they come scurrying over. Tomoko picks one up curiously.

"Neat...you'll have to teach me how to do this some day." Tomoko said.

"I'll do my best, but I doubt you'll be able to make metal familiars like these. Yours will be more in line with your affinity. Or you'll have to make them out of critters or people." You tell her.

"So, made of blood and shadow, then? Hm..." She mumbles, as you pull a bag out and have the familiars crawl inside.

"By the way, do you think you and Monster could make an artificial body with that goop? With it, we might have the perfect lure for John." You muse.

"Maybe? Its hard to make a self functioning anything that I don't already have, I just kind of...expand it. Sometimes, when I mimic someone I can get a feel for how to mimic anything I need to add, which is why Monster was relatively easy, I still had her imprint stored in my city." Tomoko replied.

"Well, it's something to look into. As well, try not to change into easily recognizable people when you go out." You warn her.

"So no becoming celebrities?" Tomoko asks. You shake your head and she sighs. "Oh well." She sighs. With a deep breath she quickly changes forms into a tall red head, refilling out the dress she was wearing. "Shall we?" She says, holding her hand out. You take her hand and the two of you make your way along the streets like a young couple.

"Just a minute." You tell her, and the two of you stop at a small alley and you open the mail bag you're carrying. The small familiar inside jumps out and scurries away. You repeat this a few more times, scattering familiars around the hotel and setting them up to watch.

"So...now what?" Tomoko asks.

Your familiars run on your magic. They're a tiny strain on it, not enough to notice unless you really push them, and just sitting there doing nothing but watching, the drain no energy. They have very small versions of your prana generators in them.

Okay to be honest, I was just trying to take it a logical extreme. The magitech robot idea seems a bit more practical.

"How about we go for some dinner?" You suggest.

"Really?" Tomoko asks, slightly surprised. You nod.

"We can't keep doing this without taking some time to unwind occasionally." You assure her, leading her by the hand to a small, family owned Italian restaurant. Tomoko squirms slightly nervously, blushing a little as you request your table. You two pass through the meal with a few nervous starts on conversation, but once you get Tomoko talking about her interests it's difficult to make her stop. After the meal you're both walking home, towards the college when Assassin appears in front of you. Down the street stands the young boy from the other night.

"Nice to meet you, Sister, Brother." He greets you and Tomoko. Tomoko has suddenly tensed next to you and you feel Caster's feet materialize on your shoulder. "The was is in full swing, and my Servant is getting antsy. Could you be so kind as to help me satisfy his urge for a fight?" He asked.

Concealing an illicit TANK is one hell of a task, even with magic. To say nothing of acquiring one in the first place.

And it would basically be one-use only, since the mortal authorities would shit themselves scramble an air strike if a fucking tank popped out of nowhere and started shooting.

Would totally be worth it though, because nothing is quite as pants-shittingly terrifying as an angry tank.

"Caster, do you mind providing some entertainment for our...guest?" You asked him.

~Certainly.~ Caster hops down and a small circle glows in front of him and a young woman with long black hair in bike leathers riding a motorcycle rises from the ground.

"Servant Rider, at your command." She greets cheerily.

"Ah, a Rider. Very interesting." The young boy remarks, "Assassin, have at them." He commands. Tomoko's Assassin tenses nervously as a young man with thick black eyebrows and a perfect black bowl cut in green spandex suddenly appears in front of the boy. He raises his bandaged arms into a defensive position.

"I, Servant Assassin, am here to test my skills against you, Servant Rider! Please, come when you are ready!" He commands. Rider grins, and kicks her motorcycle into gear and sends it screaming towards the enemy Assassin as she pulls a shotgun out of a side holster and fires it. Green Assassin manages to throw himself to the side and lashes out with a kick, knocking Rider off of her motorcycle and into the street.

"Fast...really fast..." Rider remarks, keeping a wary eye on Green Assassin.

"Caster...now would be an excellent time to get someone to deal with Green Assassin's Master." You say softly. He nods, and another glowing circle appears and a woman in a yellow trenchcoat is left standing in front of you.

"Who would you have me kill?" She asked me. You gesture to the young man and she grins, a small swarm of wasps bursts out from the sleeves of her coat towards the young boy. Green Assassin takes note and immediately kicks Rider away and runs back to his Master, grabbing the boy and leaping away.

"Tch. Such dirty tricks are an insult to the skills of the combatants." He remarks.

"If you're not going to play by the rules, I don't want to play with you anymore!" The young boy pouts, blowing a raspberry at you. Green Assassin adjusts his carrying of the boy and leaps away across the rooftops.

"Well...that just happened." Tomoko muttered.

"Before I make that decision, could you two tell me a bit more about yourselves?" You ask the two Magical Girls.

"Certainly. I am Yuri. I spent much of my life preying upon targets of opportunity, and my skills are well suited to capitalize on advantages. I can concentrate on multitasking through my swarm and use them as long range spies and scoutes, and have several one of a kind magical breeds, though I normally just stick with Vespa Mandirinia." The wasp girl answered.

"I am Chiyo. I'm a skilled rider and picked up proficiency with fire arms when I became a Magical Girl. I've mostly focused on hit and run tactics, doing my best to avoid taking a hit and keeping them occupied with my own attacks." The motorcycle girl add.

A few people going missing during a grail war should go almost unnoticed. If we only nab a single person once every few days, it should be fine. Unlike what happens after a DA nabs someone, we don't turn whoever we abduct into a ghoul and then send them out to nab other people. That's what draws the Church's attention. We can probably keep this up until the war ends, so long as we stop as soon as that happens.

"Tomoko, I'm going to be a little busy tonight, so I'll see in the morning, okay?" You assure her.

"Alright. Be safe." She says as you part ways. You quickly make your way down to the basement of the library and quickly switch bodies.

"Here, Yuri. Keep this." You tell her, grabbing one of the spare phones and tossing it to her. She flips it open and turns it on with practiced ease. She nods, closing it and tucking it into a pocket. "How far out can you remain in contact with your swarm?" You ask her.

"Several city blocks." She answers readily.

"Excellent. I want you to focus on just scouting out and around us when we head out, keep an eye out for the pair we encountered tonight, and be on the lookout for someone else who uses insects." You tell her. "Sayaka, if you would be so kind as to join us?" You ask the blue haired Saber Servant from where she was reading some novel from the upstairs library.

"Oh, sure." She says, setting the book down and following after you and Yuri. The two servants quickly turn astral as you climb the stairs and you head into town. As you start wandering the dark streets, you decide you ought to be looking for...

"That house there probably has a Master in it, I want you to pay close attention to it." You warn Yuri under your breath. You loop around the block once, watching as several wasps go buzzing by occasionally. Eventually a handful of wasps coalesce in front of you and a buzzing voice speaks through them.

"No one there. Abandoned, about three, four days ago. Signs of two occupants." Yuri says. There's a loud buzz and several insects swarm into the middle of the street nearby.

"You have come searching for Marianne?" Villain asked softly as Yuri materializes next to you, covered in a swarm of large wasps and looking tense. On your other side, Sayaka appears, sword at the ready.

As well, Hero's master is held under her thrall, so his Master would also be in debt to you as well." Villain says softly.

"So, you want me to do you a favor. After the attack you did on me and my allies?" You asked her.

"I'm hoping we can work together against a mutual enemy. John and Marianne have holed up on the south side of town, in an old couples home at the intersection of 22nd and 208th. We're not attacking the place right now, not when we only have Yuri and Sayaka with us. We need more than that to deal with this. Especially if Marianne can control Villain and Hero by proxy. We're going in with everyone, and taking her out, as well as Hero and Villain's Masters if possible.

"While good to know, I think we should retreat for now. I'm not entirely eager to rush in and repeat a situation like what happened last time." You assure her. She seems to relax slightly at that.

"Oh, thank you. I wasn't certain I could deal with another encounter like that one." She mumbled.

"This time, we'll be far more prepared. I can't be entirely certain that this isn't another trap, anyways." You comment.

"As well, commanding the regular wasps is...difficult with Villain around. They also seemed to prod at my more...personal insects." Yuri confessed. That was worrying. You three retreat from the area cautiously and make it back to the college just as dawn is breaking. Your two Servants disappear back to astral space. By the time you arrive at Tomoko's, Assassin has already opened the door for you.

"Thank you." You say as you enter. She's already got everything set up, and even Tomoko was awake.

"You're okay! Did you meet anyone? Find anything out?" She demanded excitedly.

"Yes, yes. I met up with Villain, and they said their master is being held hostage by Marianne. So we're thinking of mounting something of a rescue mission." You tell her.

"Really? We're going to be big damned heroes?" Tomoko asked excitedly.

"Or big damned villains. We need to prepare for this, though." You tell her.

"Well, I'm coming this time." She decided. You're not entirely certain you want her there, but she looks dead set on it. And you need to prepare...

"I'll talk to Monster some about a, uh, secret trick we've been trying." Tomoko said.

"Good. We'll need everything we can get." You tell her. She nods, and you two eat breakfast quickly and both depart on your separate ways. You scrounge up some spare metal at a local scrap yard and return back to the basement and set to work building bigger and stronger familiars than your scouts from the other day. As you work, you notice that the sludge in the pool is gone, as is Monster. Probably working with Tomoko on their secret weapon. You manage to piece together two working familiars of large dog size bristling with spikes and blades. You also managed to fasten a simple blade launcher for yourself that you've hidden up the sleeve of a large rain coat that someone left laying here at some point or another. With that taken care of, you shoot Ayase a text telling her to meet you at Tomoko's place.

Tomoko, if play it careful and safe. When you get an opportunity, deploy the city. We want to end this as decisively as possible." You tell them as you're all approaching the area. You get back general grunts of acknowledgement. Part of you wishes you could have brought Monster along, but she was tied to the leyine. Tomoko tenses up as you approach the area.

You cautiously send in the first spindly familiar, closely followed by the second following it more slowly and carefully. As the first one approaches the house, an arrow comes flying out and piercing into the armor, coming dangerously close to the internal generator. Immediately, you have the familiars duck down low to the ground as bugs of all types flow out of the house. From inside of the bugs comes Hero and a woman that you don't immediately recognize. At her side is a long katana.

"Come out and fight. We know you are here, Master of Caster and Master of Assassin." She calls out.

It's not night time.

We need to neutralize Marianne. We can't hope to fight three enemy Servants at once for very long.
>[X]Assassin, shank a bitch
Try to get to Marianne. We'll try to handle distracting the enemy servants. Hopefully Villain realizes what we're doing and doesn't go all out.
>[X]Attack Attack Attack
Have Caster ready to summon reinforcements or witch out megucas as necessary, depending on which is more mana intensive.
>[X]Write in.
Have Tomoko pretend to be Assassin for now, hopefully they won't notice the extremely muted presence of Assassin is missing until too late.

Is this Servant number 9? The fuck is going on?

We need a "FUCK EVERYTHING" spell/cantrip. Something like dynamite filled metal snapping turtles or a swarm of small birds that spit glass shavings. Or we could go with the magical tank idea, that sounds nice. If we go that route, can we use pic related as a base?

Tie them up with the Meguca so that Assassin can get a good run on Marianne.

Sorry guys, things are getting busy on my end. Can't quite run quest any more tonight. I can try and add some more to this tomorrow, though, if it's still alive. I've been wondering, whenever we switch to another body, do we feel hungry in the new one even if we already ate in the old one? And whenever we eat, does it nourish our soul now rather than the body due to our circumstances?
>>
>>25847789
You've actually managed to get at least one meal a day in each body, generally. It tends to be rather a good sized meal. But yes, sometimes you switch bodies and are a little hungry.

Could we turn some heavy machinery into familiars by integrating some sort of "driving" creature into them?

Yes, in fact it would be child's play for you. The hard part is getting the machinery.
>>
>>25847928
How long would it take to make the necessary alterations to a vehicle? How physically intensive is the process?

Let's take a leaf out of Archerko's book and stop walking up to enemy bases and waiting for them to come outside. Next time we find the enemy's house, let's send suicide Cessna's at it.

Just going to throw this out for next thread. My advice is to summon a fast expendable magical girl crash it at them while going full witch. Then take advantage of the domain the witch has to seclude them and wear them out for assassin. If the witch dies then it wears them out if the witch kills the women then we get prana back. The expendable magical girl triggers any traps that they have set from a range.

So if we do make a metallic body for us to possess, what kind of metal should we make it out of?

Copper for it's conductive properties and ability to be easily shaped?
Cold Iron for it's weight, and ability to harm the supernatural as well as its abundance?
Steel for it's durability and strength?
Silver for the improved benefits of fighting the supernatural as well as being able to conduct electricity?
Or should we make a Composite body?
>>
>>25853973
If we can only choose one, I'd go with steel, but if we can, we should mix silver and iron. I REALLY like the idea of conductibility.
>>
>>25853973
The downsides to these metals are also relevant:

Copper tends to loose it's edge very quickly when fashioned as a blade, and is less dense than the other metals.
Cold Iron can be too heavy for our body and has the potential to rust if not properly stored and maintained.
Steel can also rust if not properly maintained.
Silver is very expensive, tarnishes easily, and rare compared to Copper.

>>25854090
I'm sure we have the magical ability to get rid of rust and keep our weapons clean. If we opt for a lighter metal, like steel, we use quick, bladed weapons acting as a hit-and-run dude, but if we go Heavy Metal, we use blunt, crippling weapons and be a tank. I'd go for the metal with the most magical resistance.
>>
>>25854216
Not a bad idea with the magic ability, but we are still using magic energy, so I guess we have to use Mundane methods in order to preserve as much magic as possible for later use.
>>
>>25852544

This idea is both practical and evil. I'm for it. Also, Sayaka is going to kill us in our sleep, so we should prepare for that.
>>
>>25856417
>>25852544
I don't know how angry we have her. We've earned points by showing concern for her safety and attempting to avoid unnecessary risks. She's proven loyal and capable thus far, and Cubes has to have some sort of ability to control the megucas (otherwise summoning the Irregular might result in a TPK). Let's avoid pissing her off unnecessarily.
>>
>>25858592
Thing is, they ARE spirits, after all. Rider accepted her dismissal pretty calmly. The thing about being a Meguca/Witch now is that it is no longer a matter of "YOU MUST KILL THEM OR THE WORLD WILL DESCEND INTO DESPAIR AND MADNESS." It's more like a chanse to return to the land of the living and DO what a Meguca/Witch has always done: fight. Sure, Witches are more volatile, but that is what being a mad, twisted version of a Meguca's wish will do. They all return to Madokami's harem in the end.

"Caster, would you be so kind as to start us off." You say softly. He nods, and a small circle appears in front of him and red haired young woman in what look like stylized priests robes and with a Lance appears.

~Lancer, I've summoned you to deal with some troublesome opponents.~ Caster commanded. Lancer grinned and charged forward to meet the three in battle, her spear stabbing forward and separating into several pieces to worm around the enemy guard. ~Servant Berserker, support her.~ Caster adds as a young woman in a bear skin outfit darts forward with a roar, attacking Hero recklessly, forcing him to cower behind his shield. Behind you, Tomoko is muttering under her breath and you can feel something swelling in the air around you. Villain's insects are darting in and out of the fight between Lancer and the new Servant and Berserker and Hero.

"Come now, face us like a warrior, Villain! None of this hiding like an Assassin!" Lancer taunted. There's no response from the bug controlling Servant.

You start sneaking your way towards the house. Tomoko follows you, still mumbling under her breath. There's a tense moment where it seems like Villain is going to interfere, but the insects pass by without pausing. You continue creeping forward, making it around to the back of the house where John and Marianne are leaving through the back door with two people in cloaks following them. You feel Assassin's presence begin to fade from behind you as she moves forward.

"Only John and Marianne" You whisper as Assassin's presence passes you by. Assassin and Yuri suddenly appear in the group of four, Yuri unleashing a flurry of insects in John's face causing him to fall and Assassin stabbing Marianne in the side. Marianne lets out a pained scream as Villain suddenly appears, a swarm of insects and a shadowy figure, tall and lanky concealed amongst them. Villain pushes one of the cloaked figures and Marie aside, and Assassin turns her knife around, cutting out at Villain and her knife draws no blood.

"Saber!" Marie cries as her chest glows and the young woman with the large katana appears, slicing out at Assassin. On the ground, John lays motionless and Yuri retreats towards you, being driven back by a growing swarm of insects.

"The Sunken City Arises Again!" Tomoko screams, and the city once again covers everything you can see. The pools of shadow and blood stir and soon you see a dark gray and red version of the new Saber appear in front of you with a young woman in some kind of outfit with what looks like mandibles next to her.

"Assassin, Marianne dies tonight!" You order as Saber's counterpart rushes forward to counter the true Servant. Meanwhile, your shadow Villain has been immediately put on the defensive by the real Villain.

Yuri quickly sends a burst of wasps at Marianne, causing the young woman to screech. Assassin, however, sets upon the woman viciously stabbing down with an old rusty scalpel in one hand and a large knife in the other. "Marianne!" Saber cries out, deflecting an attack from her shadow and trying to move to her Master's side. Assassin, however, throws the knife at Saber, driving her back slightly. With that, Assassin stabs the scalpel into Marianne's throat, glaring at Saber the entire time. Saber immediately disappears and Villain manages to trip up her shadow and stab it, turning quickly to face you and Tomoko cautiously.

"Assassin, deal with Hero's Master, please. Villain, we have no quarrel with you." You tell the dark Servant. Villain inclines her head slightly in thanks, moving forward cautiously and picking her Master up carefully and moving away quietly. You turn back to see Assassin covered in blood and standing next to Tomoko by the bodies of the fallen masters, helping the young girl stand as the City's presence fades. Marianne and John's corpses look to be mostly hacked apart, and Tomoko herself has a surprising amount of blood on her.

~Master, we should retreat for now.~ Caster said.

"I think you're right. Call the girls back for now, have them meet us at the college." You tell him, moving in and helping Tomoko to stand. You grunt slightly as you realize just how heavy she is now. With some effort, you begin to limp back to the college, Caster and Yuri reverting to their astral forms.

Ominous. Hopefully it's just because Assassin didn't have as much rage/reason to mutilate it and not an indicator that Assassin didn't finish the job.

All-in-all, this was a pretty good outing. Still don't have a reliable plan to kill off Villain, and they've got a pretty good grasp on our abilities.

So. We've seem quite a few Servants running around this war.
Caster: Coobs
Assassin: Jack, Rock Lee
Monster: Jorogumo
Saber: Musashi, ??? female saber
Archer: Archerko
Hero: Link
Villain: Skitter

That's nine Servants so far, three of them we know are dead (Monster, Archer, and ??? Saber.). There's also that pirate ship we heard about in the 4th thread, as well as whatever was up with the hotel, so there's probably a Rider and one other Servant too. That leaves us with three more potential Servants, assuming 14 were summoned this war (which could just as well be completely wrong, it could be some arbitrary number for all we know.)

I'd say ask Coobs about this, but I've lost track of all of the ongoing things we've asked him to look into for us.

I say next time we make sure Hero's Master is dead, and then the next day we head to the bay and find out what's going on with the Grail. It's the easiest way to learn a) if the Grail actually works as intended, b) if there's a reason for all these abnormal classes, and/or c) why there are so many Servants.

Sounds good to me, although let's make sure to scout it out with a submersible familiar first before heading out in a boat.
