You are Nathaniel, a well dressed man of great taste. The only untrue part of that statement is that you are a man; Actually, you are demon, with a penchant for souls, and a mission to complete. You are on the trail of something known as Origeth, which you must retrieve for the glory of the dark lord. But that doesn't mean you can't have a little fun along the way, does it?

You awaken to the sound of Emily coming through the door with two cups of coffee. She is wearing your bathrobe, which is a little too big for her. "You like coffee, right?" She looks at you hopefully. You nod, and accept your early morning gift of caffeine. It appears having someone hopelessly infatuated with you does have its benefits. She sits down on the edge of the bed, and begins to sip her coffee.

As you enjoy your beverage, you think on what you have accomplished, and what you still need to do. You need to come up with some sort of plan for the party on Saturday, so you can get the ring. Upon further inspection of your information, it appears that the party is invite-only, making things more complicated.

Additionally, you need to be on the lookout for some more easy souls. Once you get two more souls, you will gain an ability that will give you more influence over this human realm. You check your phone, and see that you have a message from the friend you made at the coffee shop yesterday, left late last night. "Hey, uh, do you still have that job you talked about yesterday? If so, I'm interested. Give me a call back, okay?" You can sense a tinge of desperation in his voice.

And then, there's the matter of Emily. You don't want her to get in the way of your plans, but you know if you send her home, she will most likely be picked up by the police, and asked where she disappeared to last night.

The day is young, and you have much to accomplish. What will you do?
>>
>>25709201
We'll have to get some money so we can buy a more suitable place to live. If we want a thrall it will be necessary.
>>
>>25709201
Find souls! We want to buy thrall an apartment or something, but that can wait. Tell her to wait here while we search out some people, preferably Pride/Wrath folks.
>>
>>25709201

Tell Emily to rest today, she'll need some time getting over the whole ordeal Head out to acquire souls, and more information.

SPecific destinations include diners and restaurants in the area of this guy's mansion, hopefully we can find another invitee
>>
>>25709281

we get $1000 free every week
>>

You are down to $275 now, after your day of eating out and taxi-ing around. But you do get $1000 every week, and you could probably get some more from down below if it was needed.
>>
>>25709361
Or we could start becoming theiflord and taking a cut of the takes from the burgles
>>
>>25709361

we need more info before we ask our... supervisor for more cash
>>
>>25709325
$1000 isn't much. We're kind of flashy so far. We can't have much left.

I say that we have our good friend do a few jobs for us. Maybe we can find a few contacts with some dealers and fences. Everyone can use a runner, and I think we can convince this gentleman to do most of the work we can line up for him.
>>
>>25709201

Can't send her home, at least not off-hand. Can't let her stay because we risk her getting in the way. Also we already explained that it would be a problem for a few days. Need a good reason for her to stay away from the cops. See about sharing breakfast first, then something along these lines perhaps?

"There is one thing I have to warn you about. Fate is a cruel mistress with hands hidden out there among normal people. For simply wanting life, freedom or a shot at happiness, those who defy her are seen as wicked and called the worst of things. Abominations, horrors, demons and many more things like that. If you hear anyone call you or me something like that, stay away from them if you can. But for now, just stay here and rest. You'll be safe."
>>
>>25709466

WE MUST HARVEST!!!!
>>
>>25709466

So, let's got get some gangster mooks, eat them/make some contacts so we can hook up our guy with some work.

>>
You decide to head back to Eric's neighborhood, to get some more information, and also find out more about your new man. Before you do so, you make sure Emily will be alright while you're gone.

"I've got to go out for today, I won't be back until later tonight. You should stay here and rest, after what you've been through in the last few days. Will you be okay?" She nods. "Alright, just stay here and get some rest."

You step outside, and catch a taxi. After arriving in the area of your destination, you find a nice diner, and find a corner where you can call your guy back. You do so, and he picks up.

"Hello?"

"Yes, I got your message. You are interested in a job"

"Oh, yeah! Do you have anything for me?"
>>

Come meet me at "whateverthefuckweare" in 30 minutes. we'll discuss it over "whatevermealweshouldbeeatingnow".

"Come meet me at 16th and Pecos, I'm inside the diner. We can discuss this over lunch." After waiting for a bit, he arrives, and comes and sits across from you in the booth.

"So, hey, this job, what would be the specifics of it?" He seems a bit nervous. You can tell that his soul is a little more tarnished then when you saw it last.
>>
>>25709867
So far we've been doing good IMO, advancing our mission while doing other stuff (like working on a pseudo-succubi minion, getting a guy to commit murder and snacking some souls) on the side. That being said, I wouldn't object as long as >[write in] remains in the options

You begin to feed him a well-cultivated mixture of Envy, Pride, and Greed, slipping it into his mind like a stream of well-flavored wine. "I work for a very powerful man. He often sends me on acquisition runs around the world picking up odds and ends that suit his taste. Occasionally, like this job, I need an extra set of eyes and hands assisting me in the acquisition bit. I'm sure a man like yourself has been sick of scraping at the bottom of the barrel. The people you'd be working for through me have a way of being able to affect shit on a scale you could only dream about... and hell, you prove yourself right.... you can consider a slice of that pie yours." You end with a tangy note of greed, leaving him to consider.

After a few moments, he responds. He is rapt in his attention, considering what he is about to get into. "How long until I could do one of these ...jobs, and get paid?" It seems he is desperate for some kind of quick payment, although his reasons are unknown.
>>
>>25710221
The job is on Sunday, however if you were in need of something more... immediate, then we could make some warm up runs on a few lesser jobs and make you some faster cash.

You send him the text, and begin to scan the cafe. It is well attended, and most of the patrons seem to keep themselves clean. As for marks, most patrons of this establishment look like they are well-off, given its location. However, one woman catches your eye. Her soul is filthy, seeping yellow juices. She sits with a group of friends, laughing as she eats. She is fairly good looking, and wears a lot of expensive jewelry. However, you are too far away to hear their discussion.

Sitting in the booth behind you, is a woman and her lover. Nothing particularly interesting about them, they are discussing their plans for the weekend: A trip to a cabin by a lake. In the booth in front of you, two businessmen with papers splayed out over the table, working together on some kind of project.

You get out your smartphone, and open up Hellgle In your browser. As the only search engine connected directly to the bowels of hell itself, it can provide results no mere google search can.

You get a smattering of findings: A variety of pages and images appear on your screen. From what you can gather, she has an active social life, and has a presence in the high-life scene of the city. You can see evidence of several relationships that were quickly joined, and quickly finished. Among the photos of her at social gatherings, and profile headshots, you see some self-shot nude photographs.

Her soul is already corrupt enough to be bound. If you can figure out some way to get close to her to follow the procedure, her soul is yours.

No.
If she passes out we can take her soul. Then we leave.

>>
>>25712680

Sorry if there was misinterpretation there, you saw her unlock the door, and walk inside.

You carefully creep up to the door, and try its handle. She seems to have carelessly left it unlocked. You slowly open it, step inside, and close it behind you. You walk towards the room from which you hear the music, and peek through the doorway. She has her back to you, sitting at her dresser. She is doing her nails, engrossed in the music playing from her speakers.

You approach her from behind, slowly, stealthily. But, just as you are about to reach her, she turns, stares at you wide-eyed for a few seconds, screams, and jumps up to run for the door. You attempt to grasp her, but she slips through your arms. She runs out the doorway, and you run after her in hot pursuit.

She dashes around the corner, running into her kitchen. By the time you make it around the corner, she has already pulled her phone out of her bag, and dialed 911. You manage to reach her, grab her head, and slam it against the counter. The phone slips from her hand as she falls to the floor, unconscious, and her head with a nasty gash. Hastily, you complete the binding process, and feel her soul rush into yours. You then have no choice but to break for the back door, and make a run for it. You burst out into her backyard, vault her fence, and land in the alleyway. You can hear a police siren in the distance.

You begin walking down the alleyway, at a brisk pace. Just as you round the corner, you hear the police make their way into the alleyway. You continue quickly walking, until you get to a busy street where you can catch a cab, making sure to mask yourself by sending feelings of trust, and tranquility to the driver. You have him drop you at a different hotel, several blocks from yours. From there, you walk. Eventually you make it back to your hotel, and walk up the stairs to your room. You step inside, to find Emily sitting on your bed, watching TV.

"Hey, how did your day go?"

"Weird"

"Like hell. Could you do me a favor?" When she asks what the favor is, simply say "I want you to trust me", and promptly change our face.

my boss wanted me to talk to a woman to get a party invitation. My job largely involves tracking down items and people my Boss is interested in. He gives me a goal, i try to make contact so we can discuss business.

'Just like a day in my hometown.'

Close her eyes, give her a gentle kiss while we change our face. 'Thought I'd slip into something more presentable.'

so this lady, after inviting me over, flips the fuck out and starts screaming, she starts throwing things at mean and then tries to get a gun. i wound up having to knock her out and run the hell away.

I dont know what the hell she was on, but im kind of worried about something bad coming out of it.

Im, about to do something.... weird' im going to need you to trust me. Its something, im kind of hoping to teach you how to do later.

"Just like a day in my hometown."

You lean forward, and kiss her. As you do so, you begin the internal process of changing your physical form. You rearrange yourself: Bones shift, lengthen, pop. Textures roughen and smooth, your eyes shift to a pale blue, hair to a toned brown. The lines on your fingers run themselves in new directions. However, one thing remains intact: Your devilish appeal, and incorrigible charm.

Emily pulls back, shocked. "Y-you can do that? Change who you are?"

"Not who I am, what I look like."

She reaches up, and feels your new face. "I know. It's still you."

After a long day, you fall asleep, Emily's head nestled beneath your chin. You can feel the soul you captured today settling in, and you feel you are close to unlocking a new level of exploration and power. For the first time in this world, you dream. Of the future, and things to come.

I'm in favor of lord's approach following it up with "so mostly like a day in my home town" then the kiss, change thing

That'll be all for tonight, hope everyone enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to run it tomorrow night. It will most likely return Sunday or Monday, instead. I'll update the twitter once I have a time. goodnight!

Make sure that Emily understands that if anyone comes knocking asking about someone matching our old description, that person is not us, and we haven't seen them for days.
