<I will keep the secret.>

Adavan takes a glance around the hall. It's empty. He checks a ring on his finger which holds an enchantment. Finally, he turns to you.

"Sealed within the Vault is Hecate, the Great Goddess of Spirit," Adavan says.

<...by the Night and the Moon.>

"Indeed," Adavan says. "After a series of extended conflicts, she clashed with Raijin...and lost. This greatly weakened her. It was at this point that the tide began to turn in full against the lesser elements. It wasn't long after that Geb was stricken mad and cursed with Aeolus's winds.

"She came to me. She placed her faith in me as her most loyal general. She said she would seal herself away - avoiding detection by utilizing a balanced portion of the enemy's own magics - and rise again at an appropriate time. It seemed Erebus had come up with some greater master plan, and that her own sealing was a part of it.

Adavan's fists tighten. "I refused to accept it for days. It meant accepting defeat in the now...for some marginal chance of victory, far in the future? I didn't understand. I didn't want to understand. All the death, all the chaos...to end it like that.

"So I chose to be sealed with her. And I swore that when I freed myself, I would free her, as well. But the keys..." He shakes his head. "They've been scattered. The centuries have been too long."
>>
You withdraw the Sun-Moon key from your satchel. <But have they?>

He draws back. "...unbelievable. You're unbelievable."

<I think the Duke has the lightning key stored in Kelvere,> you say. <The wind key may be with Flint's family. The Fire key...I do not know its location.>

Adavan nods. "...Hecate's rise may be the leverage we need to restore balance to the world." He meets your gaze. "And you...Erebus? I met Erebus, once, while he consulted with Hecate. He never spoke to humans. Only to the other lords. But he looked at me." Adavan shivers. "Your gaze...it isn't his." He takes a breath. "If you quest to find the keys, I am with you. My knowledge is great, though I admit, my power has waned greatly. I fear it cannot be fully restored with the Goddess's help. And even if we free her...what state will she be in? So much I do not know."

I like saying this, actually. We aren't terribly convinced that we're Erebus either, but it bears mentioning.

We should also bring up that Kan-Abar soldiers were poking around Jacob's Field, but we chased them off.

It's not entirely unlikely that Nulis Vin has the fire key and had an idea that it unlocked something there, and had people poking around Jacob's Field to try and figure out what it was good for.

Unless I'm totally misremembering what happened back then. It's been a while.

<We shall,> you say. <But would she be interested in continuing the war? Or finding peace?>

"Hecate was the voice of...well, -now-, they call them the lesser elements. Then, our alliance was called the Spirit of the World - Water, Earth, and Spirit. And Shadow, at the end. In any case, Hecate was our voice. Our representative. She spoke often with Logi, the Fire Lord. They never fought directly. Even Aeolus and Hyperion stayed their hand, at times. Only Raijin would attack her directly. She would be a force for peace."

<Did you know of other talking elementals? Many seem convinced I am not Erebus...but what else can I be?>

Adavan looks at you. "Logi, in particular, commanded many lesser, sentient flame lords. Shadow, you can't be Erebus. Where Erebus walked, the very light itself faded. The air chilled. He could put out the sun by WILLING it. Yes, you have such might - I felt your power, before. But there's a difference between casting a spell and merely thinking something to happen." He smirks. "And frankly, you're just much too human. Erebus was a glacier. To him, the rest of the world was like bits of sand...interesting to rub between your fingers from time to time, but ultimately boring. If Hyperion hadn't attacked him out of paranoia, he might not even have gotten involved in the first place."

<What about Legion?> you ask. <And the Black Hand?>

Adavan makes an ugly look, as if he's smelled something foul. "Mad dogs that started more fights than they ended. But who's Legion?"

<Erebus's Arbiter?>

Actually, this brings up an interesting point.

If we servant someone of an opposed element, it overwrites their previous element at least somewhat.

Is Servant necessarily consentual? I know we've been seeking peoples' approval before considering them for servanthood, but is it possible that we could we weaken a strong enemy of a non-compatible elemental affinity by Servanting them mid-combat to neuter the element that they are more practiced in?

Probably not, but still an amusing mental image.

><So here, have a fragment of my power.>

OH! GUYS! Addy most likely knows what that sword shard is. We should REALLY show it to him and get his input.

Adavan raises an eyebrow. "The Arbiter - I remember him. But his name was David, not Legion."

You tell Adavan of your experiences involving the crazed demonic force calling itself Erebus's Arbiter.

Adavan shrugs. "I knew little of him, other than that he pretended to great friendship with Erebus - the only human privileged to it, according to him. He was a bit too powerful for me to contradict his pride. Anyway, I looked up some dates. I sealed myself about a year before the war ended. If he is this Legion, it happened after my time."

<...I wonder...did Hecate have any equivalents to angels in her army?>

"No," Adavan says. "She would often lend power to specific spells, but never to us directly - not that she wouldn't but that she couldn't. That odd enchantment to the soul...they started calling themselves Angels, then. It's actually a term from the old language. It means 'Blessed One'. And then they coined the name Dawnflight, and from there, it was a cult. That was before the war started in full.

"But to answer your question. The only elementals that could change humans in that way were Hyperion, and Erebus. And then, Erebus, just the one." Adavan frowns. "I always wondered if Erebus ever even gave David power, or he was just a freakishly strong mage. It never made sense...but then, there's not really another easy explanation."

<...wait...how did you learn the new language, if you were locked in your cell?>

"Spirit has no language," Adavan says. "I spent some time scanning Flint's mind while you approached me, back in the fortress. I wanted to be able to communicate. Hoped to scare you off, actually."

You nod, sighing. You've learned a lot, today.

>Servant - With the assistance of a mana pool, you can make any sentient soul a servant for 15 EXP. Your servants are stronger, faster, and have more magical power than normal individuals of their race.

Servants gain all the abilities you've unlocked for them. All old servants are upgraded when you purchase new servant abilities. Even without any extras, your servants have boosted physical abilities. You can have any number of servants.

A servant's mind is unaffected. They can disobey you, and even turn against you. You can withdraw the power you've granted a servant at any time, but you don't regain your experience points.

>Shared Resistance - your servants share half all your magical resistances. They also share half your weaknesses, too.

>Shadow Gift - your servants can cast Shadow Assault, Shadow Bomb, and Nightflare, if they have the mana to cast these spells.

>Multishade - your servants can cast Multishade, confusing opponents with a troop of illusions

>Shadow Eater - your servants all gain the Shadow Eater ability

>The Sense - Your servants share many of your unnatural senses, giving them a greater awareness of the world around them.

Point to it.

>ehehehehe

<What do you make of these?> you say. You raise the shards of the sword. They hum at your touch, and arrange themselves into a sword shape. It's only pieces, fragmented, but the outline of the weapon is clear.

"...Goddess...this is...this could be the Moonsong."

<What,> you ask, as you return the shards to the pouch, <is the moonsong?>

"David's sword," Adavan says. "He boasted that Erebus forged it himself. With the power it displayed, I had trouble doubting him."

<What kind of power?>

"It erased whatever it touched," Adavan says, "and fired bolts of energy that did the same. When I sealed myself, it was still in once piece, but something obviously happened. Be careful with those shards."

<Have you heard of a Shel'kath?>

"Shel-what?"

<...never mind,> you say. <It's the parasite on Flint.>

"I'm not an encyclopedia," Adavan mutters.

You then tell Adavan about your earliest memories - that of meeting of elf woman, and of waking up after a flash of green light with your memories lost to you.

"Now that," Adavan says, "is a story. I known not of this elf woman...but...your memories..." He shakes his head. "I'm exactly where you are. Too little information to draw conclusions. Do you remember anything she said?"

<No,> you say. <Just images. Something...maybe...she seemed...surprised. Shocked.> You begin to tell Adavan about the other shadows you've consumed, the two shards you feel within yourself. <...I begin to suspect that I am merely a part of something greater.>

Adavan considers your words for a long time.

He raises a hand to his chin. "...I've learned that Erebus was responsible for ending the war - that after the other three lesser lords were sealed, he took on and destroyed the four greater lords alone - and himself, in the process. There's too much evidence here in front of us to dismiss all this as accident - to call you a happy coincidence. You're involved in Erebus's plan. You aren't him, but you're involved. You have to be."

<What kind of plan would he make?> you ask. <I thought he didn't care.>

Adavan shrugs. "Frankly, I have no idea."

You consider everything for a moment. <I feel...as though...I could grant some of my power to another. Is that normal?>

"No, Shadow. That is not normal. It is more evidence that you...are greater than you seem."

<...your loyalty has earned my highest trust,> you say. <If you would like, I could impart some measure of Shadow to you.>

Adavan nods. "It would make my life easier, Shadow. Let me know when. I will accept your strength, and together, we will free Hecate. And we will make this world what it was meant to be."

You nod firmly.

I didn't agree with Adavan. So your statement is false.
>>
After your long conversation, you lean back against the wall alongside Adavan and think hard. And there's plenty to think about. It's been a long, long few days. And from the looks of things, they're only going to get longer.

Two hours later, Abigail leaves class. You join her for lunch back in Yi Fang's tower, and this is followed by another classroom session.

When she returns home, Fang takes time to drill her in simple spells. He has her form shields, fire small bolts of Spirit at targets, and wrap wood blocks of different sizes and shapes in binds of Spirit. He patrols around the room during her efforts, commenting and critiquing. At times, he kneels next to her, guiding her hand with his own, or demonstrating a spell with just a touch of his own power.

You and Flint watch from the side of the room. Abigail zaps her tenth target in a row, and Fang smiles, pleased. He sets the 11th.

"It's almost like he cares," Flint mutters. "What a joke."

<I think he does.>

"I doubt it."

<...I hope you're wrong.>

"Always the optimist, Shadow. Funny how the elements got reversed on me like that."

<How are you doing?>

"For being cooped up and probed by Spirit every day, not too bad." He throws you a quick smile. "I'm fine. Focus on Abigail."

"Did you see that one, Mr. Shadow?!" Abigail shouts. You glance over. The 11th target is totally vaporized. Even Fang looks surprised. "I got it!"

<I sure saw, Abby,> you say. <Good job.>

She balls her fist and pumps her arm, then turns back for another shot.

you mean this right? from when were in Jacob's field
...your senses flash back to you.

8 flames burn in your vision. Of the 8, three are close - three others, three existences, pillars, foundations, three Others...spirit, like orange mist...water, like blue rivers...earth, soil, the smell of a spring morning...

And then, distant - so far you're not even sure they're in this world, but so clear you know they're there absolutely - wind as the searing air of a desert, fire like a volcano's wrath, lightning from an angry thundercloud -
Light to pierce darkness.
The sensations fade. But they're there, hovering.
Spirit - you can feel it - Spirit is close. Just to the south.
Water is far to the southwest.
Earth, far to the southeast.
The other four...impossibly far, even for you to tell.
>>
>>25521877
I'm hesitant on Shadow Gift because of the cost.

If we get that, we pretty much HAVE to make a few more servants, to have it be worth the investment.

>>25521898
Don't even bother what?

You say it's inevitable, i'm just trying to suggest a good potential upgrade for when it happens.

Which reminds me, we should get Analyze too, It's a visual talent, so it may be partially shared via The Sense.

At dinner, you promise Abigail a bit of a show. She practically bounces up in down in her seat the entire time. After finishing dinner, Abigail runs up to her bedroom to get changed, and you arrange a light in the study to shine from behind you onto a blank wall. Adavan, Fang, and Flint all sit in seats, curious as to what you have planned, but you stay silent.

You didn't have much to do at night, during that long trip through Tarun Gakth. You read the stories you had brought for Abigail several times...not enough to memorize them, but you know how they go, more or less.

Abigail runs back down the stairs in orange-and-white pajamas. She flops onto the carpet in front of her caretakers and starts to clap her hands. "Show! Show! Show!"

<Alright, alright,> you say.

Your shadow works around the room, touching each of the lights in turn until only the bright light behind you is shining. Your shadow is cast high on the wall. Abigail's eyes go wide.

<This story is called the Zombie That Could Talk,> you narrate.

<Once there was a zombie that could talk. Though it still had trouble walking.> Your shadows form a slightly-chewed looking human, standing on a shadowy field of grass. He slowly trudges across the ground. <The zombie's name was Bob.>

"Bob?" Abigail asks. "That's just silly."

<Well, that was his name,> you say. You clear your throat. <Bob was special. He remembered his former life as a normal human...and he decided that he no longer wanted to be a zombie. But, Zombies can't die. So Bob decided to hack off his head and be done with it!> Your shadowy version of Bob draws a finger across his own throat. Abigail gasps. Fang and Adavan chuckle. Flint looks bemused.

Good idea, let's do this. It meets all our goals. Also, can we ask him to keep an eye on Flint. I know SM is painting Yi Fang as a (extremely well guarded) kind of a nice guy, but I'm not 100% convinced he won't try to reconquer Arland and replace Flint's Shel'Kath with his own bullshit parasite.

Also, I'm not pleased that no one else is around to corroborate Yi Fang's treatment and plan of action for the Shel'Kath, but we can't really do anything about that, I guess.

Erebus didn't talk to people. We do. Bob did.
>>
<But Bob knew of a poisoned well that was hurting his town,> you say. <So before he died, he drank up all the poisoned water. And it didn't hurt him, because he was a zombie!>

Your shadowy zombie falls into a well, and then sucks up all the water until it's bloated and fat. Abigail giggles. Flint snorts and shakes his head.

The scene changes. Bob walks through a forest. <And he knew about a nasty wolf that was hurting the town's cattle. So before he died, he went and killed the wolf, and left its pelt for his old family. The wolf was afraid of a zombie, so he wasn't even hurt!>

Your shadowy zombie uses a sword to cut down a nasty, growling wolf, sound effects courtesy of your ability to reproduce sounds. Abigail brings her hands up to her mouth when the wolf dies, but she smiles when she sees the pelt wrapped around a little girl as snow falls from the sky. "...Bob is really nice."

<And Bob knew about some construction work that needed doing for a new family. So, over several nights, he built five new houses, and a barn, and a fence for an entire new pasture! Because, after all, zombies are very strong, and don't get tired.>

Your shadowy Bob zips around the village with a bucket of tools. Houses and fences construct themselves in his wake.

"Zombies are great," Abigail says. "I made one once. But it wasn't smart like Bob. Maybe I should try again."

"We'll see," Fang says.

"Awww."

<And by the time he was done, the townsfolk cried out to Bob, 'Bob, don't go! You're a good zombie!'> You show a crowd waving at Bob.

<And Bob merely replied, 'A good zombie is still a zombie. It's not right to live forever like this, moldy and smelly, so I have to go, though I love you, my town.' And so Bob took a sword from the town garrison, and walked to the graveyard, and hacked off his own head.>

Abigail gasps sharply as Bob's head rolls away. He falls silently to the ground. For a time, you say nothing, letting the drama play out.

<And his friends and family and neighbors mourned for his loss,> you say. You show Bob's family, including the little girl with the wolf pelt, standing next to his grave.

The scene changes from winter to spring. Leaves blossom on the trees. Flowers sprout up and blow in a fake breeze over the mound in front of the tombstone.

<But even with time, they were always reminded of the zombie that could talk, because where Bob died, beautiful flowers grew every year.>

You allow your shadows to melt away. Fang waves a hand, and the lights come back on.

"...that was sort of sad," Abigail says. "But...it was nice, at the end. I feel bad for Bob, though. I..." Abigail's eyes well up. "I miss my mommy and daddy sometimes."

Fang looks torn, but he doesn't move. Maybe he's unsure of what to say. Flint looks just as stricken. Adavan's face darkens with his own memories.

You wander up to Abigail. <You know, Abby, your dad was a great man.>

She hiccups. "...yeah."

<He was trying to end the plague, all by himself,> you say. <He protect you, and your mother, all the way to the end. Just like Bob - even though he was a zombie, he helped his family, and the town. It isn't what you are, or who you are - it's what you do, that's important.>

Abigail nods. "Yeah."

"...time for bed, I think," Fang says quietly.

You bring Abigail up to her room.

It's spacious. The walls are orange, with plenty of white. There's a little pink here and there - and despite the bright colors, it works well together. A large bed sits in one corner, and the walls include a mostly-empty bookshelf, a brightly polished oak desk, and a wardrobe that sits nearly the breadth of the remaining wall.

You wonder if Fang put it together for her.

"Can you tuck me in?"

<...I can.>

You set her down on the bed, and she rolls under the covers. You carefully poke the sheets in until she's well-tucked.

<Good?>

"Yeah." She puts her hands on the end of the blankets. "I used to be scared of the dark, sometimes...but now...you know, I just think of you, and I'm not so afraid."

<...I'm glad.>

"So, um, are you and Flint going to stay a while?"

Then we take the meatier sections of the thigh and carve those off, and stuff them into the hole in the neck. This cushion is then punctured by something resembling a metal spike, and filled with blood from the jugular vein, supplied via the previously slit neck. >>
>>25522654
So was Adavan accidentally Lich'd, or just woken up early? I think I recall him saying he was 'recently raised by something something' when he first talked to Fang.

Then Fang merely referred to him as a Mage. Was that to hide his Lich status or is he not a true Lich?

>>25522654

I know a way for everyone on to get along. Flint needs to do the nasty with Auriel. They need to have a boy. That boy needs to hook up with Abigail. Boom instant unity between haven and arland as well as Archon.
>>
>>25522654
So what I'm taking from this is that whatever Shadow originally was or is a part of has never experienced Love before.
>>
Now that we're done with stuff that actually matters, time for THE WORD OF GOD:

There's a difference between blatant wish-fulfillment fantasy and a somewhat-legitimate romance subplot. I like romance in my stories, as long as they aren't the sole focus of everything ever, but /tg/ doesn't seem to have the attention span or maturity for romance. It always dissolves into waifuing. Obsessing about one character for no good reason is rediculous, but beyond that, Shadow isn't some kind of Casanova. It's not in character.

But equally frustrating, at times, are the anti-waifuers. Their paranoia is somewhat justified, given what I just said, but then, any hint of romance or compassion is blown out of the water into "PANICK", "WAIFU-PANDERING", "THE QUEST IS DYING". This bleeds the story of flexibility and characterization.

Now, we're far into the quest. You've earned a lot of humanity. Deeper compassion - or passion - for your acquaintances is perfectly possible, given that it develops naturally. I came into the quest with various ideas on the subject, and now that you've achieved the appropriate point levels, they'll be cropping up at some point.

But if the collective can't handle anything but immediate waifuing of the first female character that shows interest in the shadow, I'll just fuck the romance and toss it out the window. If the majority is still insistent in their unrealistic expecations, I'll just fuck you over - because any thinking, feeling human is going to reject that kind of creepy obsession.

You've been warned. Again.

This is not a democracy. It's a benevolent dictatorship. I have to be a Quest Master, not spend time falling over myself trying to appeal to every other sub-subdemographic. The story will go where the story will go. If it goes somewhere you don't like, or it never gets where you want it to go - too bad. I will do my best, but sadly, I can't make every single person perfectly happy. That's the only apology I have to offer on the subject.
>>
Would we be able to get Fang's assistance in freeing Geb before he uses the Staff of Air to upgrade Archon's defenses?

And Adavan is 100% behind freeing Hecate, great news for us.

At this rate, we'll have the old alliance revived and the old enemies still trapped.

Fuck it.

I've been trying to get people to see how useful using servant will be, but fuck it.

Everyone's retarded.

Dump ALL of it into the summoning tree.

Or get tao.

Or complete the entire left side tree leading to regen.

I don't give a fuck anymore.

And when Adavan asks what's up with the power thing, we say we have no idea what he's talking about.

100% serious no sarcasm.
>>
>>25522839
Even with your cautions, your faith in /tg/ is far too generous.

Excepting the female elf who appeared in the beginning (who did not get sought after because Shadow got teleported the fuck away from her), /tg/ did it's normal thing of latching onto the FIRST CHARACTER OF THE OPPOSITE GENDER that conversed with the main character.

EVEN THOUGH SHE IS 9 YEARS OLD.

From everything I've seen, no the collective can NOT refrain from "immediate waifuing of the first female character that shows interest in the shadow" in your own words.

Sorry, but you need to take stock of where it is you're running this quest and the type of people that frequent this board. Yes, it sucks.
No, there is nothing that can be done about it.

/TG/ will not heed your words of warning. At the beginning of the next thread, those same people will crawl out and begin the whole "SERVANT ABBY/DON'T SERVANT ABBY" "WAIFU/NO WAIFU" again.

And if you think somehow you manage to beat it into their heads not be all pedo, they'll just begin creeping on the second female character that wasn't outright hostile/taken as is /tg/ custom. Yes that'll likely be Ila.
>>
>>25523035

Its not impossible, but it couldn't be prudent to try in this quest. And I am perfectly OK with SM decision, even better I am reaffirm by it.
>>

SM, you've got nothing to fear on either side of the coin, I've been with the quest since the start and its pretty apparent that is a small vocal minority that is more concerned whether there will or will not be waifu's, rather than enjoying the quest.

Keep doing things the way you are, and they will either deal with the fact that this is not a "harem end lol" or a "you are a soulless emotionless robot" quest.

>SM, what do you plan on doing with Shadow Quest when it's finished?

Dunno. Haven't thought that far.

do you ever plan on running this quest again?

I don't know. I've spent a lot of time creating this world, but I have other things going on. I've thought of a lot of other quests I'd like to do - particularly one that isn't entirely original content, because it does get exhausting at times. A Dark Souls quest could be cool. Maybe a pure Scholomance Quest. I've been thinking of doing a Pokemon quest, actually. I've been a fan since I was a kid, and from what I hear, it's never been done too well...we'll see, I guess.

>Will you release the notes afterwards?

I might do a little behind the scenes tour, but I like to keep the part of the quest that's hidden from view a secret. More tense that way, I think.

>Will there ever be a prequel quest?

Hmm. Dunno.

>shitstorm continues, possibly lingering through several threads
>I keep going anyway
>shitstorm slowly dies as people decide they have better things to do
>I'm still writing

The subgroup that does not get its way, be it one or the other, will then react thusly:

I'm somewhat sad that the /tg/ collective evidently cannot handle proper romance, but at the same time I am confident that you can serve as a fair arbitrator of what Shadow as a character would or would not do, so I'm happy that you've taken the reigns on that one.

No. We can't get fear because it could turn us into a monster. Did you hear how Adavan felt when Erebus looked at him? He was terrified.

We can't be like that.

Fear makes people afraid. We shouldn't get it because it could make our friends afraid of us. We don't know it wont.

We don't know that. We could just be speeding up the sound barrier around us.

We should go ask people about the other elementals and how their go fast worked.

No. We need to ask people about it. I'm sure we can get some info on it.

SM, can we turn fear on/off as we desire?

Abilities can have consequences. We need to learn what they are BEFORE we buy them or we'll get ourselves and our friends killed.

I mean, they don't have to LOOK like they're made of jagged spikes of rock and bone to be grim and dark. (Though I will give it to you that they do need to look that way to be GRIMDARK, admittedly.)

It's just interesting to think about using these absurdly powerful creatures to battle other people in a setting that isn't heavily padded with "fainting" and free, instant health care and messages of "friendship conquers all".

Night all.

Yes, Fear is an ability you activate and direct. It won't somehow make you scare everyone you like.

Come on now.

The pastebin doesn't have all of the info. There's just too much we don't have for sure.

Like, what if it causes us to be unable to use summoning because our weaker than us summons get fraid and go back into the nether?
>>
>>25523955
maybe we shouldn't get ghost either because we will be to SPOOKY for all our bros

>Yes, Fear is an ability you activate and direct. It won't somehow make you scare everyone you like.
>
>Come on now.
You've never told us everything about an ability before. We need to see how stuff works on our own a bit and fear just seems like too much f a risk.

It isn't worth the huge xp investment.
>>

WE CAN'T GET ROBUST IMMUNITY, WHAT IF IT MAKES US UN-ROBUST???
>>

GUISE I DON'T KNOW IF WE SHOULD GET EARTH RESISTANCE, IT SOUNDS RISKY.

WHAT IF IT MAKE US RESIST THE EARTH AND WE ARE UNABLE TO WALK? THEN WE WILL HAVE TO FLY AND FUCKED BY THE SKY-SEVER FASTER THAN ABIGAIL IN A ROOM OF WAIFU FAGS.

ALSO I SUCK COCKS

didnt we already get viral? If so did that turn us into dicks?
>>
>>25524079
That's just being silly.

But, for real, we shouldn't get too many levels in earth resist because it might makee it so that we resist Geb's presence. We need to be able to interact with him in the future so we can get the levels.

It's too expensive for the risk.
>>
>>25524116

There is a point where we should stop and we have clearly passed it.

Here is a scary idea.
What if we would have let the Elves in the beginning die, had they not been led by a scared Queen but a King?
>>
>>25523897
>>25523831
>>25523705

I believe that this kind of shit does more harm to the quest than any other polemic topic. Making up arguments for the sake of dragging any productive initiative to a crawl and delay any decision with contrarian argument for the sake of it. You disgust me just as much as the people that shitpost on quests in general just because they don't like them. You are a blight.
>>
>>25524141
The queen wasn't scared.

Besides, there would be at least one female on the group otherwise people would say that SM is sexist.
>>
Also I oppose getting any points in summoning.

The only thing we summoned was Xella. All she wanted to do was eat people's souls.

We don't know any summons that don't eat souls, so it's wasted xp.
>>
>>25524141
At that point we were really just looking for anything to go on about our existence and the Elf Queen not only showed an understanding of what we were but even a small bit of acceptance/tolerance. I don't think that would have changed with gender but it's possible some of us would have been less gung-ho about killing the dragon for them.
>>
>>25524174
You forgot wispbro you fool! He saved us so much trouble in angle town
>>
And we totally shouldn't use servant on Abby. It might age lock her and it might turn her into Legion. It could also make her a spoiled brat that abuses her power.

downvote.

GUISE WHAT IF WE GET DOOM AURA AND SHADOW DOOMS ALL HIS FRIENDS BEFORE HE GETS THE CHANCE TO PUSH THEM AWAY FROM HIM BECAUSE DESPITE HIS HIGH HUMANITY HIS ACTIONS ARE DETERMINED BY A BOARD OF AUTISTS WITH NOT UNDERSTANDING OF NORMAL, REALISTIC HUMAN INTERACTION AND THINK BEING THIS OBSESSIVE IS ENDEARING OR SOME SHIT BUT IN REALITY PEOPLE WOULD QUICKLY BECOME TOO CREEPED OUT BY IT TO STICK AROUND JUST LIKE FOR THEM IN REAL LIFE EXCEPT THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT'S HAPPENING OH GOD EVERYTHING HERE IS SO SOCIALLY AWKWARD AND INCOMPETENT MAYBE WE AREN'T PAYING ENOUGH ATTENTION TO THEM WHAT IF THEY LEAVE BETTER STICK TO THEM LIKE A LEECH DON'T LEAVE ME FRIENDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
ALSO YADDA YADDA WANT TO BE THE LITTLE GIRL AND LIKE LITTLE GIRLS TOO MUCH BUT NOT LIKE THAT OKAY?
>>
>>25524169
>>25524203
>The queen wasn't scared.
Fine, not that it would have changed anything as this would have applied to both.
>Elf Queen not only showed an understanding of what we were but even a small bit of acceptance/tolerance.
She ignored us. That was as far as she went.

I will also note that our very first decision in this quest has been to save the "maiden" from the dragon.
>>
>>25524268
We should try to sell back the ability to communicate or else we might start sounding like this guy.

It's not worth the risk.
>>
What even is.
>>
>>25524301
But Shadow should at least be able to tell people why he is humping their leg.
>>
>>25524300
Actually the very first decision was to explore.
>>
>>25524327
Actually, we should try to get rid of all our locomotive abilities. If we walk around too much, we may go places that are bad.
>>
>>25524329
That wasn't much of a decision because there was hardly anything else to do.
>>
>>25524385
We could have sided with the dragon and killed the filthy elves.
>>
>>25524406
I was referring to the initial exploration, not the Elf/Dragon fight.
>>
>>25524448
