“I cannot fully stress the gravity of your mission, Taisa.”

The silhouette of a man looks down at you. Behind him a window and the rays of the morning sun, shining like the national symbol. You cannot see his face clearly, but there is no mistaking who figure in front of you is.

Hideki Tojo. Your General, and now, Prime minister of the Empire of Japan. But a few months he, defeated his opponent Nobuyuki Abe.

“The success of your efforts could potentially mean an end to the bloody war and the glory Japan is destined to. This is why its success and utter secrecy is of vital importance. The town you are heading to and its location does not exist. For the time being, you do not exist. Any ties that you had with the outside world beyond that gate are already cut off. Have I made myself clear.”

“Hai, Taishō”

“The gate awaits, and behind it new world. A world clean of the corruption of this one. Pure, fertile, and ripe. It is your duty to sow the seeds of success and reap their rewards. The trust of Emperor and hope our people rest on your shoulders, Taisa.”

He pauses for a moment, and then, somehow, you can tell he looks you in the eyes.

“I know you won’t fail me, Tatsuo.”
>>
You, Colonel Tatsuo Miyamoto, step out.

Your expertise:

>[ ] – Kempetai. You have received military training to rise to your post, but it is your political career that has put you where you are. You are skilled in wordplay and speechcraft, and your oratory has managed to win over many of your peers as allies and confidants, though your zealotry to the Emperor and refusal of moderation has given you some foes in opposing factions as well.

>[ ] -Taisa. Having risen to your rank by virtue of military experience and tactical insight, as well as quite a bit of first-hand combat experience, you have climbed the ranks by virtue of intellect and combat ability. You have run various military units and companies with great efficiency, though your ability to deal with politics or complex scientific matters is somewhat lacking.

>[ ] - Engineering. Having traveled and educated yourself in numerous mechanical and scientific fields abroad, your vast insight guaranteed you as one of the IJA's top military engineers. Though this degree of savvy in foreign politics would’ve been a boon as an ambassador per se, it does not translate well politically or militarily back home. However, you've risen to your command with a modicum of knowledge in such areas, as well as a shining brilliance in the sciences.

Who are we, gentlemen?
>>
>>[ ] - Engineering.
As if there were any other choice.

This sounds like fun

THIS. There's no getting around it this time compared to Nazis in Fantasyland. We're going to have to face the reality of this sooner or later. Namely because IJA's culture at the time was abusive to the lower ranks and it was very damaging, as well as a lot of doublethink going on.

Sorry guys, you already have your fun with Hans Landa in Nazis in Fantasyland. I can't let you slide this time with that choice, since you picked that EXACT SAME CHOICE in that other quest.

Today is November 20. 6:00 P.M. And while the war rages on in China, you find yourself on an undisclosed island in the heart of the mainland. As you ponder on the memory of your meeting with Tojo but a few days ago, your train arrives to the depot. Outside, a coastal town. It was built for the constructions workers of a nearby hydro-electric dam, abandoned after it’s completion, but now a military facility proper. All built for one purpose. The Gate.

And now you find your work has led you away from your brothers to here, back home, and yet, almost alien to you after such hardships. So you stand there, at the empty depot, with your destiny before you. What shall we do now gentlmen?

Okay, yes, but certain youkai would not get touched because of State Shinto protection.

That's a majority consensus for the gate.

This, "doorway" to another world is why you are here after all. Let's go see what we are facing here.
But as you head on your way, you see them.

Kempeitai.

The omnipresent military police. You recognize them by their armbands Three of them to be precise.
It’s actually no big surprise them this soon, they seem to be everywhere these days. You fear no man, but the Kempeitai are due their respect (and for good reason). Their leader sees and recognizes you, and walks up and bows along with his men. You recognize him immediately.

“Taisa” the man calmly smiles and speaks as he nods his head (he must be equal status to you, or at least his uniform says so) “we were expecting your arrival, I hope”

His speech is formal and rigid, but with a certain grace to it, as expected of one of the Kempeitai.
>>
>>25518899
"Taisa-dono. I came to inspect the Gate personally."

Fuck, Kempeitai. Fucking politicalized shits. But we must show formality and respect due his rank.
>>
>>25518899
“Hayato-sama, I was told you’d be accompanying me.” You say, in the exact distant manner. Tojo mentioned them earlier.
>"You will be joined by a few unfortunate necessities, Tatsuo. I have absolute faith in your loyalties, but alas, those above me do no."
Back to the present. "It’s good that we meet." you say "I trust you and your men will help instill order?”

“Ah, Taisa, me and my men will instill order and obedience. . . to the Emperor.” Emphasizing the word ‘emperor’. “But only among the officers. If you wish to instill order among the rank and file, I suggest you head to the Dojo. You will Sensei Fukui and his team of Marines. I highly recommend them to be brought along this noble journey. They’ve shown exemplary skill and devotion to the emperor’s will. “

No reason we can't do both. We'll ask him to accompany us on the way to the Dojo and we'll talk with him on the way there. We're an IJA officer we don't waste time doing one thing when we could be doing two.

1. Messengers of Inari - DO NOT FUCK WITH A GODDESSES' EMPLOYEES. Especially when she's the goddess of FUCKING AGRICULTURE AND MOTHERFUCKING INDUSTRY, OF WORLDLY SUCCESS. You fuck with her, she will fuck up your entire war-making capacity.
2. Benevolent Fox Youkai - holy fucking shit, prime aides and assistants, you get one of these and your household/organization will run like you've entered cheat codes to boost productivity and efficiency.
3. Murderous Tricksters - range in power from only being able to do basic illusions to ripping your soul out of your body with a flick of their tail, immune to mundane weapons and for all intents and purposes, immortal.

Hey, Chusa, do we have any ranks in Kendo? If we do, and we can fight pretty good, we might be able to get some respect.
>>
>Imperial Japanese vs. tengu, youkai and other nasties
OP, that sounds awesome. I hope this becomes a thing on its own and not just a side dish to Nazis in Fantasyland.

One worry, though: I don't think this group will will have it as easy as Landa's. Japanese nasties are on a different category than Western ones.
Specially considering most of them are only vulnerable to holy or blessed weapons, and I don't recall the Imperial Japanese as particularly religious.
>>
After much but quick thought, diplomacy seems the best options. These guys could prove a serious enemy, even before you've stepped foot on the other side.
You're not mast orator, but you do have your values on the Emperor, the Empire, Bushido, and whatever you can throw in there. With a little luck, you actually manage to get into an actual conversation with the man. You seem to think you know your way around him, until you realize you find yourself in front of the Dojo. He's been leading you there this whole time.

"Well, Taisa, I must say I'm a little relieved to find such. . .fervent devotion to his holiness."

"Erm-thank you, Hayato-sama"

"You're welcome. But, as much as I'd enjoy finding out more about you, I'm afraid we both have matters of our own to attend to. You'll find Fukui's and his men in there."
>>
>>25519406
This is something to keep in mind; he can manipulate us, he's good at it.
He also KNOWS he can manipulate us, meaning that he will see us as someone he can use. Dangerous, because while he'll see us as valuable to keep around for now, if we oppose him then he will become enraged at the loss of control.

As for Fukui, this applies >>25519386

Unfortunately, your experience with combat hasn't really stemmed from any actual martial arts. As much as it pains you, you realize that sword was thrusted into your hands after your rather hasty promotion. You really wish you had some experience though, as you can remember many situations where it would've come handy.

>>25519406
As you enter the improvised dojo, all around you kimono’s whirl about in intense training. One man in particular notices you and turns in your direction, and see’s your uniform.

“Taisa!” He shouts, his greeting echoing across the room. He quickly bows with his arms to his side, the others follow in turn. “It is an honor to welcome you to our Dojo.”

“Thank you, Sensei. I’m actually here on a recommendation about you and your men. I trust you live up to the fame of marines. Are you and your up to the challenge of providing specialized security and reconnaissance to the expedition?”

“Hai. It would be an honor to serve you, sir. My men not only promise you the best, we ARE the best.”
The room erupts with a loud grunt from the men. You take a look at them, the fire and determination in their eyes. They seem fervently loyal and dedicated alright, but to you? That’s the big question. As you look behind him and see several wooden dummies. You immediately recognize it as Muk Yan Jong, part of Chinese martial arts. You don't fight on a continent without learnig a thing or two.

Knolwedge is power indeed.

You inquire about the wooden dummies, and Takumi’s eyes seem to light up.

“Hai, Taisa. We practice not only Kendo, or Karate, this is Wing Chun. Several years ago I and my men were stationed in Hong Kong under General Miuira. There was a man there, we thought him a trouble maker, but he was a teacher of the arts. My men have never backed down nor lost a fight, until that day. Under Miuira’s orders, each of my men were to challenge him, many of us at the same time. All of us to the last man lost, I included, and we have scars to prove it. Miuira himself, the greatest of us, was also defeated."

"Before the man could leave Hong Kong, I vowed not to let such skill escape me. All the men you see here humbled ourselves before to him, and in exchange for treating the people of Hong Kong with fairness and decency if he taught us his ways. For years we’ve kept order and peace in Hong Kong, a new jewel of our Empire. Now we practice a different art, not of only our great Empire, but of a code. Our loyalty is not only to the Emperor, but to his subjects, yes even his new subjects. And as of now, our devotion is to your command my lord.”

Well, that’s somewhat relieving. If you don’t trust their loyalty to you, at least he’s promising good moral character, f that counts for anything (experience tells you that it often doesn’t). But cities are a nightmare to stay in for prolonged amounts of time (you can testify to this). If these guys really did keep the peace in Hong Kong for years, you’ve got to give them some credit.
After a few simple customaries you leave the dojo. Finally you’re free to do what you want. What was that again?

As much as a nice warm drink would've suited you, you always remember business before pleasure (at least for now).

The gate, that object which has brought you here, now beckons to you. And the only way to get to it, is the lab. Of which you now find yourself in.

You find your way to lab. Upon entering you realize in truth should’ve been called a cave. The place is dark, lit only by the strange glow of odd devices everywhere. This is beyond you. But aside from these machines, the room and entirely filthy. Bugs, garbage, liquids on teh floor. You manage to actually find the professor amid this chaos. Walking behind the man sitting at his desk, he hears your footsteps.

“For fucks sake I said not to bother m- TAISA!”The professor recognizes you takes a very deep bow. “I humbly beg you forgive my insolence sir!”

You are now face to face with a man bearing deep eyebags, oily hair, a streak of drool down his mouth, and what apparently was once a white lab coat now more like brown with blotches of other darker stains. He has a smell to match his appearance.

>[ ] – Insolence indeed! This is no way for an esteemed professor to behave himself.

Though you are divided, you decide to take the middle ground by trying to understand just why he is in his condition.

"Well, it wasn't always like this, but you see I'm not a man comfortable with letting others touch my work. I've been robbed of far too many achievments in the past, it's been a nightmare just to earn my reputation. They've been hammering all this "secrecy" about the g- the project. Nobody's been wiling to hire actual assistants besides the bums around town. So, yeah I've denied myself that type of aid. As you can see, that hasn't been to my advantage"

You see just very clearly why. "Well, if the issue is trust worthy help I'm sure we can find you some. and I'm *sure you will accept them" emphasizing the word "sure".

"Y-yes Taisa! Of course. But as you know, I’m the only man on earth with knowlege ability act as a communicator through the gate, and who knows how to use it. They've been telling my it's my head if they find out that information is leaked.”

“Please, Hakase, don't worry about that anymore. . .So, communication between the gate is possible?”

“On paper, yes. But I’m the only man here who would know how.”

“Uh, yes you've told me this. Good, then you’re the only man here I know to bring beyond a doubt. What exactly is the gate?”

“I don’t know myself, the dig site is classified info. The pictures they found scrawled along the cave walls indicate the gate is to be placed on the river and leads to a very large body of water, possibly a bay but we’re not entirely sure. There are images of ships passing through, but I don’t know what era. However, it’s been decided the gate be placed on the river naval vessel will be used to travel through the gate. I like swimming in the river.”

Classified info eh, looks like you- wait, what?

“What did you say?”

“wuh, OH. Um, nothing sir! It’s just- eto.”

“It’s just he’s not getting enough sleep.” Another voice buts it,
a womans voice.

You turn around and see her, dressed in a white labcoat (a clean one this time), carrying with a tray of food.

“Ah- my sweet imouto! And dinner too.”

“Don’t call me that” she retorts “If I didn’t bring it to you you’d be nothing but a corpse days ago.”

This is supposed to be his little sister? She’s almost half a foot taller than him, and certainly more. . .developed.

“Taisa” she says and bows “I’m sorry Oneesama, Colonel, to see you’ve met my brother like this. I hope you haven’t believed a word he says. This place is a wreck because he’s so afraid someone will steal his precious work like what happened in college, he has refused a single assistant since. He's so enfatuated with his precious gate, he hasn't slept or bathed an inch. I’ve tried my best, but I cant babysit him like I used to.” She looks at him “Anyway, it’s nice to meet you commander, but I must return to the infirmary.”

You swear she smiles at you particularly, and walks off, with a hint of a swagger. It’s then you wake up from your stare.

Drat, you forgot to say something to her.

Looks like you've just met Dr. Emiko.

“Well then, senpai, what else can you tell me about the gate? How does it work?”

“It. . . feeds off of electricity, sir. Like a battery. Do you see these devices around us?”

You look around and see coils, wires, spheres of glass seemingly filled with lightning.

“Dynamo’s, sir. I’ve been reapplying the principles put forth by Tesla and Edison and I’ve discovered a new method to generate an extreme charge of electricity in a short amount of time. In previous tests, we’ve managed to open the gate for no more than 5 minutes, with a one month gap, an insufficient amount of time. However, using several new techniques, I have discovered how to keep the gate open up to 20. Unfortunately, this also means a full two months are required to recharge the gate.”

Two months, stranded away from any hope. Sounds just like home!

After promising him that anyone caught or thought to be stealing his work will be publicly punished in the harshest manner, you find you can't stand the stench of the place not a minute longer (and after years in china that is saying a lot). You order him to bathe immediately, in the river he likes so much if he wants, just get clean and go to be. We're launching off in the morning, apparently.

Bed. That sounds nice. So does a drink. Wait, we still need to inspect the ship!

Count Takehiko, you recognize his face immediately. He’s a chief of a branch of the Railways and Shipping Section. This is one of the few men you know anything about before your arrival, and for good reason. The rampant rumors.

He’s nobility, hailing from a powerful ancient family. Most importantly, a family which has long been suspect of being affiliate with the Yakuza. But anyone who tries to voice this has a nasty habit of disappearing. He's the family heir and thought to have been made chief through nepotism, intimidation, and shady deals, though this claim is may be without merit. His legendary devotion to punctuality and ensuring supplies get through is matched only by his lechery and hedonism. He’s known to be a man to enjoy women particularly.

You walk up to the man. He greets you with a big shit eating grin.

“Colonel! it’s both an honor and a pleasure.” English! Fluent English at that. He seems to laugh out each word he says as well, it’s not a taunting voice but one of true genuine amity, at least at face value. What’s more, in addition to a nod, as though you and he were equal, he opens out his arm for a western handshake!

[ ] Reprimand him. The nerve of this man! Using the greeting and language of the foreign devils. Being an army colonel and by strict military definition you are technically superior to him. He must know his place. There can be no misunderstandings or insolence.

[ ] Accept the handshake. The western handshake is a sign of amity and mutual understanding; after all you are technically equal to him regarding your status in the army and his in the transport division. He seems very affluent in western etiquette too, a sign of man of diverse talents. Whatever the matter, it’s a sign of goodwill and he'd make a good ally, and certainly a bad enemy. You technically owe him your life, if it weren't for those reinforcements getting to you on time during a last stand of yours, you'd be a dead man.

Okay, so you're completely ignorant of the cultural ramifications of the shit spewing out of your mouth.
Inari is one of the principal kami, right up there with Amaterasu. Over 30% of all Shinto shrines are dedicated to Inari. We may be a subject of His Imperial Majesty, descendent of Amaterasu, but that gives us no right to disrespect the Messengers of Inari.
As Inari controls agriculture, industry (including factory production), and financial success, making an enemy of Inari is one of the stupidest mistakes you could make.
And no, her influence can't be warded off; that's like saying it should be possible to ward off a 120mm tank shell with tissue paper.

You accept the handshake, but reply in Japanese. He seems to get the message.
Next to him stands, rather above you both, a giant bulk dressed in a Naval captains uniform.

"Taisa" he bows,

"This is captain Kaito, me and the boys were just helping him plan how to load" he takes out a cigarette and notions to a bunch of other men by the docks. These don't appear to be soldiers, at least not uniformed, but they do have weapons. You recognize them has mercenaries, gangsters, not real soldiers but just as deadly when push comes to shove (you've fought along a few).

"In fact, we were just waiting for your arrival. Come,". Takehiko's men open up a warehouse door, right by the docks, but and inside is a sight to behold.

Boxes. Boxes everywhere, big ones taller than yourself, hundreds of crates.
"Yeah, we got everything you need Taisa. Food, medecine, creature comforts, but my personal favorite." Takehiko takes a crowbar smashes open a crate "weapons."

Bullets spill out, along with submachine guns. MP40's to be precise.

"These are-"

"Yep, German made and freshly shipped. Pulled a few strings and got them in special. I tell you, our Empire joining the pact of steel was the best thing to happen. And there's plenty more where that came from."
You follow him around the labrynthine complex of supplies "We got American Thompsons, Russian Nagants, British Bofors, just about one of everything I could lay a hand on. And then there's this little number-"
He pulls out the sheets from over some kind of vehicle
"Type 2 Ka-Mi, an amphibous model. Managed to get a hand on the blueprints from some eggheads and built the thing myself."

You find yourself staring at some sort of tank-boat hybrid. You've never seen the like of it.
"This is very impressive, count, but-"

"But why am I showing you all this. Well for one, your the Taisa, but really it's because of the choice you'll need to make?"

"Choice? What choice?"

"Who gets to go on the expedition with you first. See, that tiny little minelayer was the best I could pull. Those idiots up at command originally though you'd be find with a couple gunboats and barges, can you believe this? They're not very fond of all this magic stuff, and to be honest I don't bevieve it myself, but still even with a ship you'll only be able to take so many men."

"Now, I'm sure you've met our friends the Kempeitai and his Marine lackies, but let me tell you whatever they got it won't match the firepower me and my men'll bring. And I promise you, we're the only ones who know how to run these things. Without them, you'll just be stuck with the same old guns you've seen, not that that's a bad thing for you, but just keep that in mind when you do need the ultimate decision."

You do keep that in mind very much, as you plan out the actual supplies to be brought. You leave the weapons for last, telling him to keep them just at a side until you make a good choice.

Before you leave for a much needed rest, Takehiko rus up to you. "Look, I know you're wanting to catch up an hour's rest before the trip, but you ought to head to the bar for a drink. You've met everyone but the actual Imperial Army in town, and there's someone I'm sure you'd like to meet."

"Thanks, I will"

The chance to actually get a damned drink and meet some fellow soldiers is too much to take.

You walk into the pub, everything’s oddly quiet around this time, and empty. No big surprise, everyone's shitfaced drunk and asleep. Just like your boys back in China at the end of the day.

“Everyone but me” you think, “Bartender!” As you wait, you notice something. . .odd. Namely, the man sitting, wide awake a few seats away. A Sargeant. He's got the thousand yard stare.

The bartender walks up to you.

“Taisa. What can I do for you, boss?”

"What does it look like I want?"

"Right. Strongest we have. Yes, sir."

And now you drink. Ahhh. Well, you didn't get to talk to your brothers but it
s good to see their well. Except for the man sitting just a little away from you.

You whisper to the bartender about the man.

"That man there’s Sgt. Kadokawa Masao. Everything we know about him, he didn’t say. What little we do is he and his men just arrived from Nanking. He’s good for business, and I don’t just mean the drink (and between you and me they do that a lot, and that’s coming from a bartender). I’ve seen that man stop a fight in seconds. He grabbed both men and lifted them in the air and gave them that stare, you see, and when he put them back down they flew out the door. There ain’t a lick of trouble wherever he and his men go."

“I see, thanks. And give me another cup."

Taking the best opportunity you know, you approach him with the drinks. The man can't ignore your footsteps, and see's you approach. Before he can stand and bow, you motion him to relax and hand him a drink.

Some meetings can't really be described in words, but in actions. Minutes or hours, you can't recall, but for some reason you're able to communicate without speaking a word. You seem to understand a little of his experience in Nanking. It was Hell.

You finally ask him the ultimate question.

"Tommorrow, will I be able to trust you and your men?"
He looks you in the eyes, almost past, you but the stare speaks volumes. He nods, "Hai, taisa."

This is a brother in arms who would die for you.

As you leave the bar, heading straight to the ship for a night's rest, you realize you've come upon a crossroads. We must decide on two factions. Two factions to survive for two months until the others can, and will, follow. Our destiny is in our own hands.

>[ ] The Kempeitei – Masters of propaganda, fanatical servants of the emperor, and nothing escapes their sight. In conjunction with the Imperial marines, your men will be loyal to the death and absolute order will be instilled. However, for obvious reasons, they won’t take kindly to Takehiko and his hired guns, and that sentiment is likely mutual.

>[ ] Elite Imperial Marines – Takumi, and his elite Special Naval Landing Forces. Killers and keepers of the peace, they know how to run things with or without orders. Scouts, snipers, and sabotuers without equal, there's nowhere or nothing they can't do.

> [ ] Imperial Army – Veterans from China to the last man, these guys are some of the best and lucky few to have survived the war since the very start. They’ve been through hell and back, many not wanting to repeat it, while a minority seem entirely capable of bringing it with them. But all them them are loyal to you beyond a doubt. They'll be perfectly fine with anyone you bright.

>[ ] Takehiko’s mercenaries – Hand picked by our shady count and armed to the teeth with a menagerie of cutting edge and exotic weapons. To arm the Imperial Marines and train with their weapons would leave you a force to be recoked with even this side of the gate, and Takehiko is a trader at heart. Most of all, you get his Type 2 Ka-Mi amphibious tank prototype, a most tempting prospect, but also Takehiko and his meddling ways.

And with that choice, you head for bed. As do I. I leave you gentlemen, until next thread. I'm really sorry I kept it up this late, but I'm also glad this quest actually got off the drawing board in the first place.

Agreed Politicians and Possible Secessionist's are not needed on this Campaign.
>>
>>25522187
Preferably? tomorow 6p.m. est
Likely? Around that time someday of this week or next.
>>
>>25522199

Being that the Marines helped keep peace in CHINA of all places and the IJA guys are either ticking time bombs or are scarred beyond roudiness I think it should be fine.
The men of the line aren't the top brass after all.
>>
>>25522109
Awesome start, OP. Hope to see you again soon.

[x] Marines
[x] Army
I don't think we are going to subvert anyone any time soon, so no need for Kempeitei, and the least we need is threats to our authority, so no Takehiko.

>>25522199
These have different teachings, don't they? Besides, we can have them fulfill different roles, reducing conflict: we can have Takumi's men doing Operator stuff and the IA the rest.
Also, our MC is a soldier and a leader. He'll know what to do.
>>
>>25522109
Marines and army.
>>
>>25522298
I suppose, but take landa's example and the issues we had with Gunther when we neede their manpower the most.

And if these Marine guys fight like ip man, I'd hate to be having to deal with injured and probably miserable army guys.

Then you'd have to choose between betraying your army bro's or seeming like a natural enemy to the marines.

At least with the kempeitai we have commisars to be obeyed, and with takumi no one threatens the yakuza.
>>
>>25522585
No combination of the two is perfeby. But really given the choice Marines and Army conflicts would be the least troublesome.
>>
>>25522109
Just found the thread now OP, this is looking very promising, my votes would be

>[x] Imperial Army
>[x] Takehiko’s mercenaries

we need guys loyal to us, and guys willing to do some dirty work

Also, next session when?
>>
>>25523778
he said hopefully tommorow at 6 and if not then then someday later this week at the same time
>>
>>25523816
seeing as I'm in ausfalia, that probably means I'll catch it in the archives
>>
>>25523778
Their Yakuza considering we ourselves are no't Yakuza their not gonna like us very much. Only way to counter this is A. Have powerful Yakuza boss friends OR B gain their respect. Their gonna be a troublesome bunch. So its gonna be best to minimize trouble as much we can ESPECIALLY since during our first venture.
>>
>>25523969
>Have powerful Yakuza boss friends
but we do, his name is Takehiko, and they are more along the lines of mercenaries that true yakuza
>>
bump
>>
>>25522109
I like the look of this, that part with Sgt. Masao was pretty good..

Another vote for Marines and Army. Army is because it would be crazy to go without a main force that is utterly loyal to us personally. And the marines because their skills will be invaluable, both in a subduing and in occupying any indigenous force.

A bit lengthier in description but I approve. A thousand thanks.

So like, what's the deal with Japan in 1939? I don't really know much of it compared to Germany or Italy.
>>
>>25528251
take all the hate that the germans have for the jews and ethnic minorities and spread that hate evenly across the world for anyone not japanese. then combine it with religious zealotry for the emperor and you have imperial japan.

>Full retard Showa Era
>Not Awesome Meiji Era
>Not Glorious Taisho Era

Oh well.
Also, we need to make the most important decision of all: our blood type
>Type A: Common among the glorious Yamato race, Type A personalities are earnest, sensible, patient, and reserved, though this can mean they're uptight and overly tense. They can be good leaders of men, but may not react well to the strange and unusual events of this new world.
>Type B: Common among the wild Manchu people, Type B personalities are passionate, creative, and active. However their wild natures make them erratic, wrathful, and selfish. Type B personalities lead from the front and encourage the men with their passion, but they may be provoked into foolish acts and could offend and alienate others with their outbursts.
>Type AB: Common among the inscrutable Jew, Type AB personalities are cool, rational, and adaptable, but their intellectual nature can make them indecisive, critical, and absent minded. They can be clever and quick to grasp new and unusual situations, but may miss the forrest for the trees or lose the decisive moment as they're processing new information.
>Type O: Common in the savage and treacherous Taiwanese, Type O personalities are strong willed, confident, and optimistic. This confidence, however, makes them self centred and unpredictable with little respect for authority. They can make brilliant innovative leaders, but their disdain for tradition and others' feelings can be their downfall.

Most honorable bump

It would have been better to let this thread die so that we could have a new one, instead of using one that's already halfway to auto-sage.
You are everything wrong and stupid with the Showa Era.

>>25533663
You are right.
I shall commit sedoku

SEMARU

SHOKKA

JIGOKU NO GUUUUUUUUUNDAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
>>
>>25523778
I second this.

Our IJA guys are definitely coming, and they did some fucked up shit to the Chinese on their tour. This will conflict greatly with the Marines and their do-gooder attitude towards oppressed peoples.
