The world of Gaia, in which you live, is a world of magic and mysteries, both older than any human record. It is known that this force was born from two beings: Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony, and Chaos, the God of Discord. Since the dawn of mankind, the two have been at odds, warring against one another behind the veil of reality. It is said that to maintain balance, the Gods granted four Supreme Crystals to mankind. Earth. Fire. Wind. Water. Wars have been waged, nations born and destroyed, great threats to man's safety have been quelled, all with these crystals at the center. As it stands, the four crystals are divided among the different nations of the continents known as the Realm of Spring. Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony, granted man with four gifts: Orbs of Guidance that would find themselves in the hands of heroes when the balance of the world was threatened and lead them to their destiny. But the unseen hands of the Gods stir once again. This time, the forces of harmony and discord will clash against one another more and more violently, until all mankind is at the brink of destruction. But every tale must have a beginning before it can reach the end. And for our beginning, we must first set the scene.

The Kingdom of Erelund is one of the Four Greater Nations in the Realm of Spring. The Grand Crystal of Fire has been in their possession for centuries, since Odin the First King slew the Great Earth Dragon, Urrworn, and found it amongst his remains. The crystal led to a technological revolution, that filled the skies with airships and opened the nations of man to one another in a way that had been unthinkable before. The capital of Erelund is Corneria, a great, walled city where the people thrive, the streets teem with those peddling their wares, the smells of civilization, fair and foul, cloy and every adventurer worth their salt finds themselves a place. It is your first time visiting Corneria, but who are you?

No one said we had to follow traditional style guidlines. Blue mage wearing a red mage hat. Confuse our enemies then kill them with their own attacks.

You are the hero of this tale, but the Gods who control all our fates can place this mantle of many a pair of shoulders. Who will you be:

The Fighter, strong of arm, trained in sword, shield and spear?

The Thief, armed with dagger and cloak, a knowledge of picking locks and deft fingers?

The White Mage, whose healing hands, protective spells and holy light are a soothing sight to all?

The Black Mage, whose elemental magic and distinguishable appearance are recognised world-wide?

The Red Mage, who advances in the skills of swordplay, Black Magic and White Magic, yet excels at none?

The Trainee Monk, whose physical prowess excels most, even with bare hands?

Or the Bard, whose charming looks and skill with the lute have won you a lifetime of meals?

RED MAGE
>>
You are the Red Mage. Not the first of your kind, certainly. A born adventurer, you have your fair experience of routing goblin raiders, slaying giant rats and once you even blinded a Ahriman that threatened to gobble you whole. You wear the trademark feathered red hat of your kind, and a red-dyed cloak over your leather travelling gear. Your white hair is long and roguish, defiant in the face of more loyal adherents to the school of Black or White. Like most Red Mages, you dabble in both schools. You can always ask what spells are available to you if you wish to know. Your home was the trading town of Loitha, in the verdant Kingdom of Silinlund, to the east. You began as a White Magic adherent in the local Temple of Harmony, after your parents had abandoned you. Holy life didn't suit you, but their arts did. You stole off with tomes of Cure and Antidota, which you have made great use of.

Since then, you have travelled from city to city, taking whatever job will boil your blood and fill your belly. You carry a hand-and-half sword with you, a thin, graceful blade of fair quality steel. On your travels, as rewards, lucky finds of even 'borrowings', you have picked up the Black Magic tomes of Fire, Blizzard and Blind. As you have previously heard, any adventurer worth their salt ends up in Corneria. With coin earned from helping exterminate an infestation of Bombs in a nearby farming village, you hitch on the back of a caravan which drops you off on the noisy cobble road of Telltale Street.

Waiting on OP.

Red Mage, Blue Mage, and Dragoon are and always have been my favourite classes
>>
>>25513348
Red Mage, Dragoon, and Ninja here. (replace Ninja with Time Mage if using FFT as well)
>>
>>25513284

It is the pub you seek, a well-known place with a tin sign, depicting a Malboro, its many tentacles each wrapped around a tankard of ale.

You enter the Stinky Drunk, passing loud arguments and merry laughter as you do. Eyes are soon drawn to you. It's that hat, of course. You're not the only one to wear such. You see a man with a short crop of messy brown, his own stained hat hanging around his neck with a thin rope. To be a Red Mage is to be a known adventurer. Shunned by the White Temples and the Black Mystics alike, their best career choice is on the Quest Boards and bounty lists, in promises of spoils and glory. You see a Quest Board here, but you can make out nothing on it, as a group of men stand around it, animatedly discussing something they have read. Amongst the other patrons, you see three crest-fallen soldiers at one table, wearing the Six-Legged Horse of Erelund on their chests. The barmaid is a big, doughy creature, fair but fat, with ginger curls held under a colourful bandanna and great big breasts threatening to spill out of her bodice at any point. She's a popular one, as you can fathom by the men and women who vie for her attention as well as her mead. And you know that the staff of an establishment such as this always have good information for those who choose to ask. But you don't come here on any errand in particular, so what you do here is up to you.
>>
>>25513348
Then we take our red mage class for a spin and dip into dragoon.

I told OP before. This needs dragoons. E-NUFF-SAID

This
>>
>>25513634
Considering it's Gaia, Cornelia is there, and all of the jobs are your FFI ones, I was assuming it had to be one of those points (well more pre or during, after the light warriors success there's very little in the way of monsters, according to the game and lore.
>>
>>25513545

(It's none of the above.)

>>25513516

A bald, bronzed man with a great maul strapped to his back glances at you before shoving his hands between two of the men blocking your way to the board. He pries them aside easily, giving you a nod so you can get a look in. Besides plenty of white tatters from where quests have been accepted and ripped from the board, there are four pages currently pasted on. One is a job for a nearby Alchemist, asking for a brave adventurer with time to spare to help him up the Knolly Mountain Pass to collect some Drowseweed. You hate fetch quests. Another asks for an escort across the sea to the island nation of Tiralund. You don't have a ship for that. Then you see what has clearly caused all the fuss. Beside two, now vacant spaces, two posters are pasted up, offering a reward of 70,000 gil. To compare, you have 800 gil. The task on both posters is the same: to join a captain of a household on a journey to the Bandit's Wood. A maid of noble birth has been kidnapped by the Lucky Dogs and the girl's father is unwilling to petition to the king. After all, you hear one man say, it's called the Bandit's Wood for a reason. Any decree by the king will have reached them long before the soldiers get there, and the woods would seem as empty as his friend's skull. And so the job has been offered to four skilled adventurers who would be willing to follow the captain of the house guard, a strike force to get in, get the girl and get out.

<continued>
>>
>>25513804

"Folly," says the bald man who had made way for you, in a deep, rounded voice. "There's nothing in those woods for honest folk but empty pockets. The bands that set up there have been there for generations, they know it better than any man alive and have eyes in every tree."

"That's what they'd like you to believe." A woman with wild, blue-dyed hair and olive skin smirked, her arms wrapped over her leather doublet, her daggers jostling on her belt as she jutted a hip out. "There's no bigger fool than a thief in a band. They start to think they're an army, that they're safe amongst their brothers, until they come to sword point. Then they'll backstab each other as quickly as gets them away from danger."
>>
>>25513804
(my bad then, proceed I am enjoying this, old school FF quest is fun.)
>>
>>25513823
Fuck it 70,000 gill is 70,000 gil, and they're bandits, what's the worst that could happen.

Sure, why not. It's not like we'll be alone, and we can play support or artillery if we're not strong enough to be on the front lines. We won't crumple as fast as a black mage or white mage either.
>>
>>25513823
Is it a 4-party thing? Do we have to split the 70k with 2 others?
>>
>>25513908
Better than nothing. And if there really is an army, someone is bound to bite it before we do.
>>
>>25513773
FFI had lore?
>>
>>25513823
Is it 70k each or 70k split?

"Well, I suppose you know better than I, Ms ...?

I think I'll go for it, pay is good, bandits sound fun, and getting the friendship of the local nobility could be useful.

Besides, I don't have anything better to do."
>>
>>25513908
That's still 17.5k split three ways, and knowing bandits, there's even more gil around them, and we can always sell off what we can take from them.
>>
>>25513938
(Oddly yes, not intricate like some of the later ones, but there was still some lore to it, but that's a tangent for another thread.)
>>
I say we go full Kirito.

>Solo 4 life.
>>
>>25513968
I assume the captain as 4th member won't take a cut, so 23.3k really.
>>
>>25514047
Either way, it's still better than what we have, we might also want to get some white magic anyways.
>>
>>25513908

Each poster has the reward offered to they who turn it in. It's 70,000 per person.

>>25513860
>>25513890
>>25513899
>>25513949

"Elly of Tenclocks." The girl offered a grin of slightly crooked teeth as you tear the poster from the board. After you offer your reasons, she nods. "We're board-hunters, aren't we?"

Following your lead, she takes the final remaining poster. She leads you over to the barmaid, and you both place the paper on the wooden bartop.

"A lik'ly pair," the woman chuckles, her accent rough and common. "You be gent'e with this one, Elly."

Following a wink, she slides two gold-coloured coins across the table. They're mostly smooth, having a series of dots hollowed through. You know what they are. If a coin doesn't return to the bar that issued it, it's soon assumed that the quester failed or abandoned their charge.

The red head went on: "The other two have already left. The client wishes to meet in a more private place, so you'll 'ave to make your way on over to the Silk'n'String. It says 'closed' in front, but ne'er-you-mind that. Best of luck, chicklings." The woman offered a matronly smile before Elly turned away, leading you out the door.

"I know the way," she boasted. Then, as you walked along the bustling streets of Corneria, where the buildings were taller than ever you had seen in any other city, and the great white-bricked castle loomed in the background, above everything, she cast you a sly, playful hazel eye.

"So... I hear you Red Mages are all thieves and braggarts."
>>
>>25514117
that's Classist.

Not at all, we're not thieves.
>>
>>25514117

Extremely so. Humble, too.
>>
>>25514117
and?
>>
>>25514117
Joke back with her.

"So I'm accused of being a thief by one such as yourself? With your dyed hair, pile of knives, and I'd guess even more concealed on your person, and surprisingly in depth knowledge of how bandits and thieves operate. What has the world come to?

Besides, it's the bards who are thieves and braggarts, poncy bastards.

Us Red Mages are obviously the most humble, kind, generous, and most competent people ever, I don't have a bragging or stealing bone in my body."
>>
>>25514117
"I cannot say for my 'brethren', but I am only an opportunist, nothing more." I say. "What were you to answer me with if I asked what the purpose of all those daggers was?"
>>
>>25514117
"Come now, we're not bards!"
>>
>>25514148

"You may not be as thieving or as proud as a bard, but you're certainly wordier." She shoots that grin of hers again. Crooked teeth or no, the girl's slim, soft features, sharp eyes and small, pointed nose make her an amiable, even attractive, face to look upon.

>>25514205

She shrugs, nonchalant. "You have the right of it. I'm a thief by trade. Never had a bounty on my head, though, so I'm either the 'good' kind or just very, very good." She smiles easily, it seems. Before long, you arrive at the establishment bearing the name, the Silk'n'String. A rather bawdy scene is depicted on its carved wood sign, of a bard playing a lute to a woman who seems to be in the process of hitching up her skirts. As promised, the sign on the front has been turned to closed, but you press inside. The shutters of the windows have been closed. As soon as you step inside, two men in mail hauberks with spear in hand approach. Elly holds up the Quest Mark she got from the barmaid. You do the same. The men nod and stand aside.

The only light in the dim room is the series of wax candles lit on one table. Around it, three people are sat, with two empty stools between two of them. Your eyes are first drawn to the two who must have taken the posters. Instantly, you recognise one as an elf, due to her pointed ears and tall, slender figure. She wears her long, brown hair straight, her almond shaped, dark green eyes regarding you and Elly coolly. She must be a Ranger, judging from the brown and green hues of her leathers. The other is simply a Fighter, wearing bronze plate, his short sword sheathed in its hilt and his shield laid by the leg of the table. His bright blue eyes blink wide up at you, a friendly smile on his lips. He's younger than you, no more than seventeen, with big, shaggy red hair.

Behind the table sits a robed man, a hood up over his head. Beneath are a pair of worried blue eyes, a long, hard nose that looks to have been broken at some point in the past, and a full, lustrous beard of gold.

"Ah," he speaks softly. "The last of our would-be heroes approach." He sounds as if he is not entirely convinced by this plan, gesturing the two of you to seat. "Please, if we might hear your names?"

Elly introduces herself as briefly as she did to you, when all are soon waiting for your answer.

"Are you a lord's son?" asks the Fighter, all honesty and curiosity.

"Sounds made up," snickers the Thief, as she takes a stool next to him. This leaves you next to the Ranger, who slides her seat a couple inches further away.

"Elly of Tenclocks. Cecil P. Mycroft III," he sighs laboriously at you. "This is Ryara," the bearded noble gestures to the elf. "And Horbold Anvil. Although I'm told he hates to be called Horbold, and prefers Horry." Then to the Fighter, who nods earnestly.

"Yet he insists on introducing himself as 'Horbold'..." were the first words spoken by the elf, who seemed displeased in general.

"And this is the captain of my house guard. Ser, please step forward."

From the dark of the room stepped another cloaked figure. As he made his way to the light, silver coloured breastplate and mail glimmered, yet seemed to weigh nothing on him. He was a much older man, with grey, fading hair that came in a widow's peak atop his head, and a heavy, square beard that covered everything beneath his nose. A patch of black hung over one eye. You can see a long sword hilt behind his thick neck, but the cloak obscures what blade is beneath.

"I am Ser Lorn Hoskeep. It's... a pleasure." It took him a while to say. "We've been given leave to use the beds of this establishment for a night and will leave on the morrow. It's a good thing four of you responded so quickly. Less talk will reach the outlaws. It's a six day ride to Bandit's Wood, but we'll be arriving there in four, so I suggest you eat, drink and rest as well as you can tonight as you'll not be satisfied by how much of each we have on the road."

He turned to the noble, whose unsure eyes were busy scanning slowly over all four of you.

"My... Lord. You had best leave now. The innkeep will be wanting to open to business now, and you must surely have affairs of your own to attend to. Rest assured, your daughter will be returned to you soon. You have my honour as a knight on it."

The older man nods, looking more tired by the second. "I trust in you, Ser Hoskeep. And you four." The last seemed to come with a degree of hesitation. "I wish you speedy travel, and safe, too. I shall have a man posted in this establishment at all times, so return here, one or all, when the job is done or..." He shakes his head. "When the job is done."

<continued>
>>
>>25514890

He stands, and turns to give another word to the knight, before departing with the two spearmen.

"Olita, we're done out here!" Shouts Ser Hoskeep. A woman with a hooked nose, a withered face but a hard little figure appears from behind the bar and rings the bell. Before long, a host of wenches and a barkeep rush out, opening windows, lighting candles and turning the sign.

Your meal for tonight is free, a large stew with plenty of meat and bread. Your bed comes without charge too. As you eat, customers begin to file in again, a lot of them regulars disgruntled that the place had closed down, even if it was for only an hour. You hear Olita pass the excuse of a giant rat caught in the basement. Would you like to sleep? Get to know one of your band better? Take a look amongst the patrons? You could even go out on the streets. The night is yours, and the morrow belongs to the stern knight now taking a hefty tankard of mead.

He's a solid young man, not too tall, but you can see the thickness of hard worked arms bare beneath his plate, and a broad chest, too. You imagine he wields that sword and shield with ease.

"Cecil P. Mycroft III, sit with me." He gestures to the stool next to him. " If you wouldn't mind answering, what does the P. stand for?" Those young, trusting blue eyes, how do you answer them?

Say you'll tell him if he tells us how he got into fightering. Then say it was passed down from the first generations of Mycrofts from the beginning of the second and a half century, mysteriously disappearing half way through some obscure civil war. You think it was Percy.
>>
Upon your comment as to how well-built he is, Horry grins and nods. "Pa always said I was part ox, though ma didn't like that. Said she might've married and bred with an ass, but she didn't touch no ox. Really, though, if you spent your childhood with 'ammer and anvil, you'd probably be like me, too. Only taller!"
>>
>>25515162

(Cool tripcode, me.)

>>25515139

When you ask about how he got into adventuring, he shrugs and smiles, sheepish. "I always wanted to do it, really. Pa was never too 'appy about it, but he has two other sons, one older, too, so his trade and name'll go on, not like 'Anvil's' a rare an' lordly name like Mycroft. Were the first and second Cecil's adventurers, too?"

Maybe some tall tale would be in order here?

We say that the name "Prentice" is a curse of sorts, laid down on the first Cecil Mycroft by an evil witch. A silver-tongued bard with far too much flair and far too little sense, he taunted her after his party foiled her wicked plans. Thinking that the ancient Mycroft was a boastful fool, she laid down this curse on him with her dying breath, forever dooming the family name to obscurity unless one of them became a powerful mage. Unfortunately, she was spot-on with her assessment of our distant ancestor, so this curse persisted for hundreds of years, and soon mingled with an unsuspecting lineage of turnip farmers. But that was before Cecil Prentice Mycroft III came along, that is!

I swore upon my pointy hat that I would rise to power, and restore honor to my name, and rise to great fame and fortune in the process! And also maybe help some other distant relatives who are raising another generation of purple root crops.
>>

This. Fucking this.
>>
>>25515272
ooh I like this choice
>>
>>25515272
Thirded.
>>
>>25515272

Horry listens to your tale, his eyes growing wider with every passing moment, until they're as big as saucers. At the end, he gives a heavy swallow of his ale.

"Blimey," he sighs, star-struck. "And my ma said that Red Mages were only prancing fools! Here, Ser Mycroft, let me get you a drink!"

He barks good-naturedly at a passing wench, placing a coin on the table. You think you notice something strange about it before the girl takes it away. After a swing around the bar, she returns, offering your frothy ale towards you.

"Maybe when songs are written of you, they'll speak of how we saved a noble lady from the Lucky Dogs, eh?" He grinned, as you toasted and had a drink.

The night deepens.
>>

(Stay, tripcode, you're making me look amateur, dammit.)
>>

I'm starting to feel a little sorry for how much we're lying to him, but not enough to stop.

What are Ryara and Elly up to?
>>
>>25515429
How do you know we are lying? We don't even know ourselves.
>>
>>25515381

Take a sip and collapse unconscious.
>>
>>25515381

Hold off on quaffing the ale for now. Let's go see how our other two compatriots are holding up.
>>
>>25515381
Let's check out what Elly's doing, if we can find her.
>>
>>25515429
>>25515490

>>25515429

A look around the tavern shows that the seat once occupied by Ryara is now vacant. Elly sits with a company of town guards in their cloth coifs, she's playing the knife game to the the tune of 'Three Wheeled Sally'. For every verse she passes, a 50 gil coin is laid down. She already has seven. Then again, you can see she also has one slightly shortened pinky finger. Before long, a bar wench smacks her on the back of her head, causing the dagger to pin against her sleeve. The guards laugh and she grins before using one of the coins to buy herself another drink. It looks like the men know her well enough from how amiably she regards them.
>>
>>25515565
Let's beat her at the knife game.
That's gotta earn us some points.
What dice we rollin?
>>
>>25515565
Let's finish our drink with Horry before wandering over there and bothering her. Ask if she spends a lot of time not quite stabbing herself or if today is a special occasion.

>>25515623
Rule #17 of life, do not try to beat a professional at the knife game.
>>
>>25515644

Let's also inquire about Ryara's whereabouts. It would be inappropriate to fight or die alongside a complete stranger while attempting to save a fellow(?) noble.
>>
>>25515694
My guess she's either asleep or doing some elfy stuff outside, we can talk to her more on the ride there if we don't see her tonight.
>>
>>25515644

The thief's easy grin returns as you wander over. "If it isn't my good, noble Cecil." Upon your question, she cackles gleefully, still full of excitement from the game, and wiggles her just-a-bit-short pinky at you. "Sometimes I go ahead and stab myself."

She kicks out a chair at you. Most of the men look upon you cheerfully enough.

>>25515694

"She's a gloomy one, no?" Elly asks as casually as any tavern dwelling man. "She sat there, at Ser Lorn's table, with her whetstone and a quiver of arrows. She ate some, drank none and then buggered off upstairs. I imagine she's sleeping. Or still whetting away."

The table offered a merry chuckle. But you've noticed that one of the guardsmen is giving you the stink eye.
>>
>>25515796

Blind him.
>>
>>25515796
Ask what his beef is with you. I imagine it has something to do with Red Magi, but remember, we're different than those pretentious bastards.
>>
>>25515837
We haven't even had out first mission yet and you want us to have an enemy? We aint that drunk yet.
>>
>>25515837
No, we don't randomly magic people in the face for no reason, it's impolite and crass.

>>25515796
"And we're stuck with her for a bit, but hey, she's probably good at her job. So I can put up with a bit of gloom.

So, Elly, how'd you meet this bunch of fine fellows?"
>>
(General rule for courses of action is first to get a second, unless another option soon gets a clear majority vote.)
>>
>>25515885
Very impolite, and only apprentices do that sort of thing.

Listen to her tale of course, we need to get to know our companions better, especially if we're going to travel with them.
>>
>>25515885

Thirding this; best to ease into the subject. Let's not call out that one other guard unless it's necessary.
>>
>>25515885

"We can't all be charismatic thieves is what you're saying?" Her eyes danced to the tune of the near empty ale she drank at. As you ask of her friends, ignoring the one that doesn't seem too friendly, Elly wraps her arms around the shoulders of the two on either side of her.

"Biggs, Wedge and Cinch have been my fast friends for years, now! What girl doesn't show a bit of appreciation for the brave men of the town guard? Corneria's only safe to sleep in because of these three, you mark it down!"

One of the three, a red-faced, chubby cheeks one with no shortage of chins, gives a hearty laugh.

"Elly's only sweet with us because she thinks we'll let her go when we eventually catch 'er."

"You're not from here, are you?" The one who had been glaring at you speaks up. He's a man with shallow cheeks, a dignified nose and curly brown hair, his coif pulled down. He looks a bit like what knights do on every picture book on the subject.
>>
>>25516059

Nah mate, I'm from (that town with the pirates and the boat).
>>
>>25516059
>Biggs, Wedge, Cinch
>If we don't meet a Cid I will find you The Sage, and I will kill you.

If by Corneria, then no, if by the kingdom of Corneria... maybe?
>>
>>25516247

"I'm from Pravoka, too!" Piped up the chubby guard, grinning widely. "Are you from Druryside or you past the docks?"

Elly watches you, her hazel eyes curious, her smirk knowing. The ill-eyed guard watches you, still, but busies himself with his ale. At this point, you feel a heavy hand suddenly clamp on your shoulder.

"You should sleep, Elly, Cecil. We begin at dawn. You can try sleep on the cart if you please, but it won't be sound." The gruff, one-eyed night informed, before turning and making his way for the stairs. As his cloak flutters behind him, you can see the wide tip of his word, almost scraping the floorboards.

>>25516270

(Decided to go with the other, because Corneria's not a kingdom, but the capital city of the kingdom of Erelund.)
>>
>>25516462
"I was born past the docks, but I never really stayed in one place for that long, been everywhere from Silunland to (Kingdom to the West of here). I'm a born traveler, wanderlust in my veins, you get the idea. Never been able to call somewhere home for too long."

For now, it's bedtime.
>>
>>25516635
Seconding this, we need to be well rested (I doubt our MP is at full)
>>
>>25516527

This.

Although I wonder if Cecil should perhaps linger a bit to converse with the guard who's obviously not fond of him. Might be important to get things squared out before embarking on an important mission.
>>
>>25516527

You're proving a born liar, you can't help but think.

"Those Tiralese women are firebrands, for sure! I'm jealous, Cecil." The thinner of the two friendly guards sulked, taking a hefty swig of his drink. But before long, Elly snatched up her silver coins, before standing up and easing her way past all three.

"Well, we'd best sleep for now, gents. Me and Cecil and Dandy and Mandy have maids to be saving. Might be she'll even reward one of us with a kiss!" She chortled, before leading you away and up the stairs. You see a comely tavern wench shaking a dozing Horry, too, holding up his shield for him.

But when you and Elly are in the landing upstairs, she flashes you a gaze too hot for a colour like hazel.

"You know, Cecil, I'm feeling so very guilty to have a bed all to myself without paying. What say you and I share a room? That way our merry innkeep can make a little more for the night's work." Her lips curve wickedly, her fingers lacing between your own.

Once we get to the room we'll ask her what game she's trying to play.
>>
>>25516852
Seconded.
>>
>>25516852
Oh this right here, so thirded, never trust a thief when you're in the same room and one of you might be unconcious.
>>
>>25516852

With that slightly crooked grin of hers, she releases your hand and opens the door to her room, before reaching back and dragging you in. Dallying only to set her pile of silver coins on the bedside table, she turns back to you.

"Oh, it's a fun game, I promise." Her voice is becoming a low, soft song as she unlaces her leathers, pulling the top right off. She has a taut, lithe figure, small olive-skinned breasts tipped by bronze nipples. You can't help but wonder where she's from. You've never heard of Tenclocks, before. She sashays across the room, unlooping her belt so daggers could fall to the floor, before she stands before you.

"It's a game boys like a lot. It's got swords in it." She slides her hand beneath your breeches and squeezes. It's almost pointless to roll resistance on this one, physically. "You have to find a sheath for it."

With Elly's dexterity and enthusiasm, and your own weariness from travel, you don't last too long. But still, as she falls onto the bed beside you, both carrying a sheen of sweat and panting like dogs, she's still grinning happily enough.

"... always wanted... Red Mage...," she sighs, rolling off of you. All in a moment, exhaustion lays in. As your eyes grow heavy and Elly curls herself under your arm, your head falls to the side and the pile of silver coins catch your attention.

As your vision fades to the black of sleep, you look at the portrait of the king on one overturned silver. You wonder, just where have you seen that regal looking beard and once-broken nose before? And then you sleep.
>>
>>25517517
Oh well, I guess she really just wanted the dick.

And that's all for tonight, folks! There are humbler beginnings than the loins of a thief, to be sure, but you have greater heights to climb yet. And I don't mean princesses or anything. I hope you're all ready for a long tale, full of interesting characters, war, magic, beasts and several opportunities to both brag and also live up to your own boasts. All this and perhaps a bedmate more or two to come in Final Fantasy Quest! Next time will be tomorrow, hoping to start an hour earlier and finish around the same time, so be there or be Borghen.
