There are three Crockers and three missions. Now it's time to choose who you want to play as! We've been playing as Dirk for a while, so let's switch it up. We'll be changing up between the three so no need to worry about skipping any of the good stuff.

So who do you want play as?
>>
Jake. Time to see what that mysterious ship is.
>>
Scarlet. It want to see what total war looks like.
>>
On a side note, isn't the Camelot on the Colony Defense Mission as well?
>>
>>25454059

Jake
>>
>>25454108
Oh yeah it's there too. I probably left some stuff out by accident.

1 vote Jake, 1 Vote Scarlet.

I'll wait a half-an hour or so for votes, I probably need to mow the lawn.
>>
>>25454059
Scarlet. Time for Super Pilot antics.
>>
Jake - l wanna see what that the reason for his existence is.
And how the old boy turned out.
>>
Three Votes for Jake.

Two Votes for Scarlet.

Alright. I'm going to mow the lawn now. Once I get back I'll start things.

This is gonna be fun.
>>
So, we're going to end up either on a time-traveling ship, or the old Feds had developed some way of traveling that's considered to be impossible using modern tech.
Either way, this is going to be fun.
>>
>>25454158
The roster got switched around a bit, too. Originally it was the Magic School Bus going to Big Ring. But I guess Woolf and Millais wanted to remain close to their son, so when he switched over, the whole damn Diva did. Not that I mind. I can see the potential for a lot of entertaining drama that way.
>>
>>25455187
I guess so. I remember vaguely that the MSB was supposed to protect Big Ring, while the Diva stayed behind to protect the colonies.
But that was back when Asemu was staying behind, so it's quite possible that they decided to remain close to their son for a while.

And speaking of the MSB, it still has the photon cannon, right? I kinda wonder if we can use it without having to move the AGE builder around.

Your name is Jake Crocker and you feel kind of nervous. The shuttle ride is going fine, everything is packed, no one has attacked and the Magnificent 7 are great company. You'd be enjoying this road trip if the destination was anywhere but where you were going.

The location appeared to be the middle of nowhere however you knew better. The shuttles you guys daisy-chained together hold all your suits and equipment, but they'll only get you so far. Thankfully after a day of travel you tell everyone to get ready.

"Slow down the speed of the shuttles to 1/4th the speed we're at now" You say, seeing a single small but familiar looking asteroid.

"Alright, I hope you know what you're doing..." Carlos mutters as you get closer and closer.

Suddenly, the scenery changes as you pass into the invisible umbrella field around the miniature colony. Docked with that tiny colony is a ship.

"What the-" Carlos looks to you, the rest of the Magnificent 7 does to.

"He set up an invisible umbrella system a few years ago. It's OK he's not a vagan or anything" You state, letting out a heavy sigh.

You have them dock the miniature colony and have everyone starts unloading. All the while you walk down the hall and approach a large set of blast doors leading into the colony, dozens of cameras line the wall above the door, looking down on you.

Suddenly a voice comes over the intercomm system.

"Hey...Jake. It's been a while hasn't it? If you're here about 'it' don't worry I haven't used it, just like we agreed. However I can see you brought some men with you. I remember the OTHER part of our agreement Jake" The voice grows threatening. "I won't allow it to be used by anyone! Not after what I did! Not after..."

"Dakai! Calm the fuck down!" You shout, your heart beating in your chest knowing very well how much explosives he has wired to the colony.

(cont)
>>
>>25455253
"We're not here to take it. I just need a way to get to Mars to save some people. It'll help a lot of people Dakai..."

"...No." Dakai states firmly.

"After this we can destroy it. We can destroy the Treasure Star" You say, despite being fearful of what that could bring.

"...Really?" Dakai asks, sounding happy but cautious.

"Yes really" You say, smiling. "I'm not afraid anymore. Neither of us should be afraid of it anymore. Can we come in? I haven't eaten anything but rations and I need some real food before I throttle someone."

"You're not touching my stove. I'm cooking, I've head enough of your goddamn pancakes.

(cont)
>>
>>25455327
The doors unlock and you lead everyone inside the mini-colony. It's small, enough for a single person and his family, not that Daikai has one yet. It's got a small farm, power generation, the works. Totally self sustainable.

You go up to the small suburban style house and there standing on the porch is your friend and the reason you exist.

Daiki Ryuuzaki.

How will you greet you friend Jake?
>>
>>25455327
Sounds like something really bad happened to Sirius and Kotetsu and the rest of the Treasure Star's crew. What happened in your time journeys, Daiki? What did you see?
>>
>>25455375
Let's give him a hug. He seems like he needs a hug.

Out of curiosity, how old is Daiki at this point? In theory he should be 35, but if we factor in time travel, he could be just about any age.
>>
>>25455375
With a hug, the sort of hug where you pick the other person up and spin them around.

"Even my son, my dear son, has had enough of my pancakes. I'm surrounded by heathens and heretics."
>>
>>25455375
"Daiki! Long time no see. How's it been, man? It's been far too long, I haven't seen you in... what, 5 years?"
Give the old guy a hug. I have a feeling he and Jake get along splendidly.
>>
>>25455412
>>25455459

He's 35 like you are. He's clean shaven, tall, gaunt and healthy. Still you can tell he's been drinking again, he looks and smells like he has the mother of all hangovers. You're glad you didn't come when he was drunk or he could have blown the colony sky high with the charges you had him place in case someone attempted to take the Treasure Star.

You walk up to him and hug him tightly, as if he was your own brother. Hell, at this point he is. Your distant brother. You pull away and give him a serious look that seems to scare him a little.

""Even my son, my dear son, has had enough of my pancakes. I'm surrounded by heathens and heretics."

Daiki's face cracks into a smile and he bursts out laughing, unable to breath he sits down and looks at you, smiling for what looks like the first time in ages. "God I'm glad you're here. I was beginning to go crazy again. I've been dreaming of this day, the day we can finally end it."

"I'm sorry that I didn't come sooner. We should have ended this a long time ago, but we need the ship this one time. After that we can turn it in the universes biggest firework." You grin and he grins back, standing up.

"I see you brought along some friends...all X-Rounders if I haven't lost my touch."

"Yep, we're the Magnificent 7. I'm Carlos, this is my team"

"Jeez nowadays it's like X-Rounders are growing on trees. What do they make you in factories now?" Daiki asks with a laugh.

"Not yet" Rena says with a shrug.

"Well, I think all of you should know that Jake is a magnificent man and I love him like brother. However he cannot cook a single fucking thing besides Pancakes. If he says otherwise he's lying through his teeth. So, what do you want to eat, and Jake I swear to god I will space you if you say pancakes"

Well Jake, what do you want Daiki to cook you?
>>
>>25455613
"... Waffles?"

Give him a few seconds to glare at us.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Can you whip up some pasta?"
>>
>>25455613
"Hashbrowns. Or Waffles."
"Nah, I'm just kidding, make whatever you want, I'm okay with everything tasty. I don't know about the rest of the crew, though."
>>
>>25455613
"Crepes. What are you looking at me like that for? They're a distinct item from pancakes!"
>>
So, Arthur was a time traveler?
>>
>>25455696
>"... Waffles?"

>Give him a few seconds to glare at us.

>"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Can you whip up some pasta?"

Daiki goes inside and cooks up a load of spaghetti and meatballs for everyone. Everything was home made too, beef, pasta and even the bread you ate with it was made by Daiki. Tastes bloody great.

You're having a pleasant meal until Rena decides to ask what everyone has been wondering.

"So how do you two know each other?"

Daiki looks at you and you nod, deciding you might as well spill the beans about everything.

"Well to understand our relationship we have to go back to when I was a young man..."

(cont)
>>
>>25455800
He also makes a mean sandwich.
>>
>>25456117
This is gonna be good.
We're from the future, where the machines rose up and the only way to survive was sending people back through time?
>>
>>25456117
"My father built a device. Apparently he was trying to develop a new type of engine to make an attack on the Vagan Homeworld more practical. However during a test run he discovered what he developed wasn't a engine at all. It was a time machine." Daiki sips his coffee and frowns.

"He wound up back in time with a trashed time machine and an 'old' Adele. He proceeded to reverse engineer a Gundam and an AGE Builder from it using the data he 'borrowed' while maintaining it. I don't know much after that. My father met my mother had me and continued working on things." Daiki sighs.

"I'll skip over the unimportant details. What you need to know is that my father died and all he left were the words "Grand Wing". I found the Gundam he left, and eventually set out to figure out what the 'Grand Wing" was. I met friends, enemies, found an AGE Builder my father built and eventually found the Treasure Star and on thing led to another. Eventually I was travel through time and space"

Everyone appears very confused, Rena appears incredibly skeptical but you keep them quiet.

"I had done a lot, but there was one thing I hadn't tried. Going back in time. I had gone to the future, but never the past. At the time I wanted to see the Dinosaurs, but my friends dis-waded me so we only went back in time a couple of years. We went to the colonies, saw the sites and avoided doing anything drastic. When I was walking down the street a boy my age fell off his bike and into the street. A car nearly ran him over when I pulled him to safety. His name is Jack and we became good friends..."

"Wait, don't you mean Jake?" Rena asks.

"No. I mean Jack Crocker. The boy who would of died if I hadn't been there..."

(Cont)
>>
>>25456481
"After I had some fun with Jack we returned to our original time. A.G. 115. However when we returned everything had changed. " Daiki's eyes stare down into his coffee and a look of self loathing spreads across his face.

"No one remembered us. It was like we were never born. Slowly everyone but me began to realize what had happened and began looking for answers. They turned on one another out of anger and desperation. My friends slowly tore themselves a part and began killing one another. I tried to stop them! I tried everything I could but in the end I was forced to kill the last friend I had left in self defense..."

The room goes silent, Carlos looks like he's about to throw up. You aren't happy about hearing this story, but you know it's doing Daiki some good to share it with someone besides you.

"I spent months on the ship alone, cleaning the gore off the walls and preparing everyone for a proper burial. I ran out of food, water, stopped sleeping and was about to kill myself when Jake came along." Daiki looks up to you, smiling thankfully.

"He got me fed and treated and even helped me bury my friends, all without a single question or accusation. Slowly he helped me figure out what had happened and when I figured out who Jake was and what he had done...I realized what I had done."

"By saving Jack Crocker I allowed Jake Crocker to be born which allowed him to change the course of history, which in turn erased me and my friends from existence..."

Daiki grows silent and everyone looks horrified.

Anything you want to add?

>>25456625
"So, Now you see why this thing is rigged to blow and why we need to keep this in utter secrecy."
"One small misstep with this thing, and we could screw temporal causality over so bad that no one was born, or the Vagan win, or Earth got glassed."
"If it's any consolation, it appears that saving Jack proved to be a good thing, because the original timeline was much, much worse than this."
>>
>>25456625
"It's okay, Daiki. We're not moving through time, this trip. I promised you that I wouldn't let that happen again, and I intend to keep that promise. Just two warps, one each way, with no time travel except for a slight shift forward to prevent intersecting our own light-cones. And then we can destroy it. It will be okay.
>>
First >>25456825 then >>25456693
>>
Okay, didn't see that one coming.
Theory about Arthur being a time traveler proven wrong. Or is it?
>>
>>25456693
>"If it's any consolation, it appears that saving Jack proved to be a good thing, because the original timeline was much, much worse than this."
Opinion. And may piss off Daiki more, don't say it.
It's never a good thing when you trade the lives of yourself and your friends for the existence of one person who fucked it all up.
Thank god for splitting timelines, and there are an exponential number of happy Daiki out there. He's not as fun when he's all depressed and moody.
>>
>>25457198
Yeah, point. Better throw that one line out.
>>
>>25457209
Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't do the old time traveller staple of going back in time and stopping himself from taking the action that changed the future.
Hopefully his father will be born in our Kio timeline, and then do everything he has to do to close the loop. An open time loop is dangerous as hell.
>>
>>25457249
Maybe we need to bring him along with us home to Zarth once this is all over. He gets married, has some kids, and one of his successors becomes his father.
Or time travel in Gundam works different, more like Back to the Future, where there are alternate timelines, and we don't have to worry about closing the loops.
>>
>>25457249
There's also the fact that the destruction of a time device could have massive effects on causality, especially if there's something that device needs to do in the future of it's own timeline.
By destroying it, we could cause time to come unwrapped and the universe to cease existing.
>>
>>25457345
Does it, though? The Treasure Star's creation never happened in this timeline. I think it's a branching timelines thing, and though you can be trapped in a timeline where you were never born, it doesn't prevent you from existing. So we might not need it to complete the loop.
>>
>>25457345
That's assuming that we didn't branch into an alternate timeline when Daiki saved Jack and there's only one timeline that abhors a Paradox.
I think we're running on the multiple timelines and universes theory, so there's no risk from a temporal backlash.
>>
>>25457339
Regardless of how time works, we need to get Daiki back to civilization. He needs some friends. He'd get along well with Desil, I think. And then by Gen 3 he can be great-uncle Daiki and be really weirded out when he meets whoever we have instead of Kio, because he met him in the Treasure Star manga.
>>
>>25456693
>>25456825
"So, Now you see why this thing is rigged to blow and why we need to keep this in utter secrecy. One small misstep with this thing, and we could screw temporal causality over so bad that no one was born, or the Vagan win, or Earth got glassed." you point out.

"Daiki here has dedicated his life to making sure the Treasure Star wasn't misused. I would have happily blown the thing sky high but for all we know it could unravel all of reality." You explain with a frown.

"Still, we need to use the ship. Using the 'Grand Wing System' we can make it to Mars in a matter of minutes, or an hour. Technically we're going to use time travel to...regular travel. It's complicated, Ma G has all the math for it finished, all we need to do is load everything onto the ship, install Ma G on it and we'll be good to go." You explain.

"Unless 'it' happens again" Daiki says warns.

"It?" Rena asks.

"One time when were were traveling to the future we ran into some guys who tried to kill us. Apparently when you travel through time you also have the issue of other dimensions, I think. I know jack and shit about the exact science behind this. All I know is that if we use the Grand Wing System, even if it's to get from point A to point B, we're going to be in the 'Time Tunnel' for a while. Long enough for something or someone to attack us." Daiki explains.

Everyone finishes their dinner as they digest the boatload of information they got.

What do you want to do now Jake?
>>
>>25457533
Agreed on that. I guess we could take him in the Crocker household, he could hang out with Jake and Jack all the time.
As for Desil... What age is Fram at the moment?
>>
>>25457533
We'll bring the treasure star with us. Too risky to leave it here, but Daiki knows not to abuse it, and if people think it's some random Crocker ship, they won't be inclined to think "Time Machine! Must Steal!"
Hide it in plain sight, as it were.
>>
>>25457574
"...do we tell them about Arthur?"
>>
>>25457575
Probably pretty young. I can't find an age listing for her, but she looks to be younger than Zeheart in Gen 3. Barring her having spent significant time in cryostasis between generations, she's can't be out of her early teens at this point. Probably younger. I'd put her at being Seric's age, personally.
>>
>>25457574
Let's hang with Daiki for a while while the 7 sort themselves. This is big, after all.
"I guess you guys need some time to process this. Yeah, this sounds insane, but it's true. And it's frightening, so I can understand if you're against this mission."
"If you want, you can still bail on the mission, but we need you to keep quiet about this."

>>25457645
Too bad. We need to get Desil some booty as well, for fucks sake, he's our lil' bro.
Maybe we end up taking Fram and her brother and some other kids with us to Earth, because we're pretty much going to screw Ezelcant over once we get to Mars.
We're either going to start a revolution, or Ezelcant decides to glass Vagan because we brought medicine and food with us or the solution to the Mars Rays.
>>
>>25457854
Where would Fram's brother be? In this timeline the Magicians 8 have been replaced by Desil's siblings, so where does that put the canon members? I assume they'd still be in the Vagan military, but they might not all be in the same unit anymore. Anyway, Dole's a lot older than his sister. He's an adult at this point in the story, so he probably isn't going to turn easily.

What's with that, anyway? Dole's much older than his sister and has a different last name. Either someone remarried at some point, or Fram is actually a kid that Dole adopted and developed a sibling relationship with rather than a parental one.
>>
>>25457854

"We're not bailing Jake. Not a chance." Carlos states firmly.

"We've all called dibs on punching the leader of the Vagans, that Ezelcant guy, in the balls at least once over the years" Duke explains.

"Besides, how often do we get to travel through time!" Rena says with a grin.

You leave the 7 to their own devices and take a walk with Daiki through his well tended fields. What do you want to talk to him about?
>>
>>25458258
"Hey, man. Listen. What do you say about you coming to live with us back on Zarth after we've dealt with the Treasure Star?"
"I'm worried about you, man. This isolation and drinking is going to be the end of you."

>>25458001
My theory was that that the Vagan military takes in orphans and just gives them a new name and groups them as a family.
So that could mean that Desil's brothers and sisters aren't his biological brothers and sisters, but the government brainwashed them into thinking that they are.
That'd explain Dole and Fram, for example.
>>
>>25458258
Ask him what he expects will attack in the time tunnel.
>>
>>25458258
Damn it Rena, we're not traveling through time! We will never travel through time! Pay attention!

"Daiki, after this is over, do you want to come back to Zarth with me? You've spent enough time alone here guarding the Grand Wing system. You don't have to live as a hermit anymore. Come on, my kids will love to meet you."
>>
>>25458258
Ask Daiki if we wants to come back to Zarth and if he's worried about destroying the Treasure Star. If he's unsure, or thinks it has something it still can do, or if it's too dangerous to destroy.
This is the last thing he has of his friends and father, even if it's something you want to let go of, sometimes it's better if you don't.
>>
>>25458451
>Damn it Rena, we're not traveling through time! We will never travel through time! Pay attention!
We are travelling through time. We're just doing so linearly instead of going up or down stream.
>>
>>25458451
>Damn it Rena, we're not traveling through time! We will never travel through time! Pay attention!
You do realize we're all traveling through time right now, right? Honestly your freaking out over time travel is getting kind of annoying.
>>
>>25458479
How is that different from just existing? By that standard I'm traveling through time right now.
>>
>>25458496
Dude, what are you talking about? I was just making a joke about how we're not actually going anywhere in time. I guess tone doesn't come through very well with text. Sorry.
>>
>>25458516
You are traveling through time right now. Just very slowly and in one direction.
Unless you're some kind of weirdo who's posting from a place where time doesn't continually flow foward.

The difference is they'll be moving through space while moving through time. Imagine us as Point A, and time is 1. When we move to Point B, time flows to 2.
But when they move from Point A to Point B, Time stays at 1.
>>
>>25458544
It doesn't. And sorry for snapping, it's just there's been a dude freaking out whenever time travel and the treasure star was brought up, and I've gotten kind of annoyed at it.
>>
>>25458558
Basically, we're making a Homeworld-esque Hyperspace jump.
>>
>>25458592
Not sure how Homeworld technology works.
>>
>>25458582
It's cool, man. I can see how that would be annoying. Some people just freak out when a story doesn't go the way they were expecting, I guess.
>>
>>25458347
>"I'm worried about you, man. This isolation and drinking is going to be the end of you."

"For a while I was hoping it would be Jake" Daiki admits. "I've had to live with this guilt for too long. I wanted it to end, one way or another. When I heard you say we could finally destroy the Treasure Star I was overjoyed! I'll finally be able to leave..."

>"Hey, man. Listen. What do you say about you coming to live with us back on Zarth after we've dealt with the Treasure Star?"

"That...that sounds nice. It'll be nice to see this place blown sky high. It's been my self-admitted prison for far too long." Daiki kicks the dirt and begins to laugh, looking quite excited.

"So, when we get to Vagan what do you intend to do exactly? Daiki asks.

Well Jake?
>>
>>25458931

A Standard Search and Rescue. We have intel suggesting that the pilots of the Vagan elite X-Rounder squad are being blackmailed via the threat of their parents being executed.
Though picking up some souvenirs while we're there is also in order...
>>
>>25458931
"Start a revolution. End the war. You know me, do the impossible."
"If that fails, a simple search and rescue mission for Desil's parents and family with some data gathering and sabotage."
>>
>>25458931
"Infiltration, to start. Gonna have to be careful with that, which means it's going to take us a while. But it's necessary to getting the information we need. We're going into basically unexplored territory. First priority is breaking out Vagan political prisoners. We know of at least two that we need to extract, there may be others we find along the way. Second priority is acquiring intel regarding the source of their technology. They've got access to tech that should have vanished with the Silver Chalice Treaty, I want to know where they dug it up. Final priority is any military sabotage we can accomplish, with care taken to prevent any damage to civilians. Ideally, I want to spread as much good will towards the Earth Sphere as possible. I doubt it will make much difference, but if we can change any public opinion it would be nice. I've actually got a design for shielding the colonies from solar winds and some experimental medical treatments that I'd like to leak to the Vagan public, but we'll see how that goes."
>>
>>25459175
Seconding this.

>>25458653
It's FTL travel based on opening a quantum rift. A ship opens a rift, enters through it hyperspace, and exits through another rift at the predesignated coordinates.
Now, that thing was used to move colony-sized ships from one point of the galaxy to another in a couple of minutes, maybe less, which means that a smaller ship like the Treasure Star traveling the small destination from Earth to Mars should arrive at its designated location almost instantaneously.

Also, am I the only one here expecting to get attacked by shit from another Gundam setting, or a Mysterious Blue Box appearing on the Treasure Star?

I doubt it will make much difference, but if we can change any public opinion it would be nice. I've actually got a design for shielding the colonies from solar winds and some experimental medical treatments that I'd like to leak to the Vagan public, but we'll see how that goes."

"That won't be easy Jake." Daiki says with a sigh. "The Vegans are still as hate-filled as they were where I came from, maybe even more. You'll be fighting a losing battle..."

You shrug and smile. "I'm still gonna try"

Daiki laughs and shakes his head. "Wouldn't have it any other way. So how do you want to start preparing? I haven't started up the Treasure start in twenty years. It might need some work..."

Well Jake, what do you want to do?
>>
>>25459759
"Heh, I'll help you with that thing while the rest of the crew loads the suits, supplies and everything else on board."
"We could call that girl Rena to help us with it, apparently she's already a professional engineer. And I want to screw with her by asking her if she likes Dirk."
>>
>>25459759
If they do destroy the Treasure Star, can we at least save the AGE Builder and it's Data? Daiki's AGE Builder will be immensely helpful. Infact, ask him if he'd mind if we didn't destroy the AGE Builder.
>>
>>25459985
I assume that we'll first strip the ship bare, remove whatever we can, and safely destroy the time-travelling engine.
It's an entire ship, for fuck's sake, we can salvage it, get another AGE builder, and remove the risk of screwing the timeline over by exploding a time machine.
>>
>>25459759
Check the reactors, to start. Then the Grand Wings system itself. It's mounted in the mast, right? Anyway, get the systems needed to support Ma G ready for installation, too.

Remove the Invisible Umbrella projector from the habitat itself and mount it on the Treasure Star. We might get there instantly, but we can still be detected afterwards. Not to mention the possibility of cherenkov radiation giving us away as we emerge from the time tunnel.

Get the Pioneer Alphas loaded into the chambers of the Revolver Catapult. Same with the Crusader. Check the AGE-1D for any age-related wear and then equip it with its AGE-related wear. Have Carlos make that pun. Seriously, though, get the Phoenix Wear on it.

Hey, as an aside, can we get the information from Daiki's AGE System? He's been to the future, and has seen the AGE-3 in battle. Some cool custom Vagan suits, too. There could be some nice developmental data in there, if it's had twenty-five years to work on it. Probably he hasn't left it on, but there should still be something to work with.
>>
>>25460053
I think he's flying around in the AGE-1 Phoenix, the same one Yurika is using. I doubt that he hasn't met Flit as well, and that we already exchanged data.
But we probably should check whatever he has available. Maybe we can come up with some ideas for the new Crusader.

Something like the Gransa / Phoenix hybrid.
>>
>>25460214
Oh, I know he has the Phoenix Wear. I don't think he's built anything new. But there might be some good stuff from his AGE System's scanning that he never got around to building.
>>
>>25460307
I guess he has something in the AGE builder, considering how he made the Gundam by reverse engineering a future Adele.
So it's probable that he has a functioning Clanche or an advanced Adele in there, or the HDODS rifle. Or maybe even a SigMaxiss.
The best thing would be if he had a personal cloaking system that actually works properly and can be reproduced.
>>
>>25459985
>>25460032
Daiki is find with keeping the AGE Builder and his Gundam. He's even fine with keeping the Treasure Star around, just as long as every single piece of the Grand Wing System is destroyed and all data and computer systems regarding it are wiped clean.

>>25460395
>>25460307
>>25460214
Mobile suit wise, all he has is the AGE-1D. The Phoenix Wear...well you kind of 'borrowed' the data from him and gave it to Flit. Other then that he doesn't know about the Grand Wing System, because you're honestly afraid what he might do with it.

As for the 'future' developmental data, he erased all of that a while ago to avoid anything fucked up from happening.

>>25460053
You take Rena with you and check out the ship. First you look at the reactor. It's running fine, old but perfectly acceptable.

The Grand Wing System is...confusing. You have no idea how it fucking works, but Rena seems too, at least she thinks she does. She pokes around inside, checking things out and gives the thumbs up. "I did some cleaning so there shouldn't be any problems in terms of wear or age."

You look at the other systems of the ship, do some basic maintenance and cleaning but there isn't much to fix. The AGE-1D seems fine, a little brushing and cleaning. You plug your G-Phone into it and have Ma G look everything over.

"This is the first time to look this copy of the AGE System over. It's quite remarkable. A very close copy, but there's some data in here similar to your XM3 Operating system, however it's keyed to assisting X-Rounders..." Ma G says, sounding genuinely intrigued.

"Alright, copy it. Daiki probably won't have an issue with it."

"Will do"

You do some thinking and realize you'll need to remove the Invisible Umbrella projector from the habitat itself and mount it on the Treasure Star.

However this will be VERY tricky and will require several hours, a lot of work and everyone's assistance.

Let Daiki know that if his father is born in the future of this timeline, he might reinvent the Grand Wing System, and we have to let this happen.
Honestly, I'd rather keep the grand wing system around and all data on it in Daiki's hands, just because I'm worried we'll miss something and someone will find it and be able to rebuild it.
But if exploding it makes him feel better, then we might have to.

Oh cool, I was hoping we'd get the AGE-1D's improved X-Rounder systems. Combine this with the tech we copied from the Zeydra and we'll have a nice machine for whatever X-Rounder protagonist we have in Gen 3. No way will Kio be able to use "it can't keep up with me" to justify his poor piloting. Provided we don't erase him from time, of course. Now that time travel has been introduced, I find myself contextualizing all of our changes to canon as that. It's oddly entertaining.

>61, 45, 70, 11, 19, 5

It's hard work but you pull it off without an issue. However the system is tasking as all hell on the generator and no real way to get around it. While the Invisible umbrella system is active you can't use any of the Treasure Star's weapons, sensors or high function systems. All you'll have is the bare bones stuff, but hey it's better then being shot at.

You've loaded up everything, the Crusader, the Anti-X-Rounder Genoace, the Pioneer Alpha's and all the supplies and materials you brought.

What do you wish to do now Jake?
>>
>>25461746
Wait, we're going to leave the colony behind, right?
Can't we just take its generators, add them to the Treasure Star and use them only for the Umbrella? Or would that take too much time?
>>
>>25461826
I'd recommend keeping the rest of the colony intact if possible. Having a base no one but us knows about is always a good thing. Never know when the Crockers will have to lay low for a while (or secretly build a superweapon).
>>
>>25461826
The Generators for the colony are pretty god damn big. They'd need to mounted externally and it would leave the ship very vulnerable to attack.

On top of that Daiki seems to have second thoughts about blowing up the colony. He's going to leave it yeah, but that doesn't mean you have to blow it sky high or kill everything inside. Without the generator all the animals inside would die and the agricultural set up would have to be completely redone.
>>
>>25461959
>>25461933
Okay then, let's keep the place intact for now. We could use a new hidden base of operations anyway.

Are we in a hurry? Maybe we can upgrade the X-Rounder systems using with Daiki's and Zeheart's data.
Or do some other quick fixes and upgrades.
>>
>>25461746
Time to get moving, I guess.
>>
>>25461959
Before we go, take Daiki aside to where we're fairly sure he can hear us, and ask his opinion on keeping a copy of the Grand Wing Data.
I don't want to use it, but I'm with all these people in the group I'm worried someone might be a spy for Vagan or Leviathan and if we miss destroying abit of data, or someone steals it we'll have a huge problem on our hands that could only be fixed with the Grand Wing System.
Obviously, we wouldn't tell anyone that we have it and would continue on as if it had all been destroyed. And besides, this is the last thing he has from his father and I'd feel bad if he destroyed it because he saved us.
>>
>>25462225
He's pretty damn jumpy about the Grand wing. Asking to keep the data is likely to end up with Jake and crew getting scattered across space, without normal suits. We've been warned several times that the Grand Wing System is off-limits. Better to leave well enough alone there.

>>25462058
Could the data we pulled from Zeheart's MS be used to upgrade the Genoace?
>>
>>25462225
The problem is, how do you notice that a change has happened? Only the people on the timeship itself remember the original timeline. Someone else getting their hands on the system would be bad, but I don't think we could use it to undo what they did.
>>
>>25462306
Yeah, let's leave the damn thing alone. MaG will be integrated with the ship, she can monitor and shut down anybody trying to steal data about the Grand Wing.
As for the Genoace upgrade, I don't see why not. We could probably ask the young Spriggan to help us as well, considering how she's the expert on X-Rounder tech.
>>
>>25462318
I think Jake and Daiki would both be able to know, since they've taken a trip on the Treasure Star. Usually time travellers are immune to changes in the time line, or at least heavily resistant.
The second one of them wakes up and feels everything is wrong is when we bust out another grand wing system and fix it.

>>25462306
He is Jumpy, but he's excited about it because he's been trapped here guarding it and is resentful. It's always good to have a backup incase something happens in the future, and it's his father's life work and if he destroys it he might get resentful and depressed in the future. Tell him we'll be respectful of his choice, but he had to ask him to make sure he was sure.
>>
>>25462306
Speaking of Genoaces, is the Genoace Kotetsu still in the Treasure Star's hangar? Because the sub-arms would be nice to reverse-engineer for the limb control software, even if it needs X-Rounder abilities to manage.
>>
>>25462376
Unless the have a way to block her vision, or she's more distracted running the ship and making sure we don't end up in Turn A Gundam.
Seriously, we should take him aside and ask him if he's sure he's sure.
>>
>>25462382
Daiki buried his suits with his friends. However he did keep the data from them.

>>25462225
You take Daiki aside and ask his opinion on keeping a copy of the Grand Wing System.

"No. My father discovered it by pure fucking accident. It would take decades to properly re-engineer the system with anything less half of the data or parts from Grand Wing System. If and when we destroy it, it will be good and done with. Besides keeping it would only leave the temptation of using it. Don't push me on this Jake, I'm going to turn this system into slag even if I have to kill to do it. I won't let it bring ruin to anyone else"

>>25462058
>>25462306

Getting his fast and over with is a good idea. Besides X-Rounder data is tricky, it needs to be properly looked over and studied before it can be properly applied. It'll take a while to make any improvements from them.

However you could take couple hours to try and improve the Anti-X-Rounder Genoace. Want to? (Roll against your Engineering Skill)

>>
Rolled 31

>>25462432
"Relax, Daiki. I was hoping you'd say something like that. I don't want to keep it around, either. I'm just the sort of paranoid where I needed to ask, first. I've spent too much time in R&D to not worry about data theft."

What IS Jake's engineering skill by now? He's been doing SCIENCE for decades now.
>>
>>25462578
Apparently 80. Which is weird, I thought it should be in 90 or something by now.
>>
>>25462623
80? Odd. Like I said, he's been a borderline Mad Scientist since he was fifteen. Barring a nat 100, almost any engineering roll he makes should be at least a partial success.
>>
>>25462741
I know, that's why I said it was weird. I think it was 80 when he was a kid, as well. Or was that computing, while engineering was 60?
Anyway, I'd probably give him 90 with all tech-related skills, with some feat that lets even a failure be functional, if not salvageable.
As for piloting, I don't know - is he a Super Pilot? Or a regular Ace like Woolf and Jack?
>>
Rolled 69

>>25462837
Jake's engineering was 60 towards the end of the first arc. So somewhere around 80-90 for current engineering skill then. No one else seems to be rolling. Eh? Rolling again for the Hell of it.
>>
Rolled 93

>>25462837
Well, he's good enough that he doesn't need MADNUG support anymore, so he's probably gotten his skill level up to 80 or thereabouts. But I wouldn't say that's Super Pilot level. Super Pilot level should probably be represented by an alternate die roll system. Maybe using smaller dice sizes, maybe getting to disregard the first one or even two failed rolls. Something that means that only the worst luck or enemies giving a lot of penalties would make you fail. Though if we do that we should have a system for X-Rounders, too. We haven't actually played as an X-Rounder who hasn't suppressed their powers, yet. So we have room to make new systems.
>>
>>25462953
Or we make the Super Pilot just be invisible to enemy X-Rounders. Maybe give him something like a permanent bonus to his piloting because he does it on instinct.
Hell, Scarlet is probably going to end up being the Super Pilot, considering how her piloting is around 70, and she didn't even have any formal training.
Old Jake is going to end up in a Geth Gundam which is invisible to X-Rounders because it's a fucking sentient machine.
>>

>(Also just wanted to say, this version of Daiki sucks. He has nothing that made him awesome in the manga, and it's kind of an insult to be using him like this. He was one of the truly good things about AGE and you kind of went and fucked him up for no reason.)

(I'm sorry you feel that way. However I didn't do this for the LOLZ, Daiki is suffering from a tremendous amount of guilt, trauma and a number of other issues. Time Travel isn't something to be toyed with and Daiki didn't understand what he was doing. It's unfortunate what happened to him but if all goes well Daiki may regain his spirit. Jake's existence has helped shape most things for the better, but some things for the worse.)

>>25462837
(Alright that's fair. By now he should have 90, however I think giving him 100 would be power playing. 90 is the limit cap I'm going to put on skills. Jake's Engineering and pilot skill is now 90%)

After another several hours of work you manage to properly calibrate the Anti-X-Rounder Genoace. It should be somewhat more effective. If it doesn't just blow up anyway.

With everything cleared up you have everyone gather on the bridge. Daiki takes the captain seat (He called dibs) and you take seat the engineering console.

"Release Docking Clamps, Full power to Grand Wing System" Daiki orders.

"Full Power to Grand Wing System, we have just left dock."

"Begin count down to time Jump."

"Ma G are you ready?" You ask.

"I hope this rust bucket doesn't corrupt any of my drivers..." Ma G mutters.

"I'll take that as a yes. Count down in 5, 4, 3, 2,1..."

"GRAND WING SYSTEM GO!" Daiki shouts and then in an instant the Treasure Star is surrounded in a tube of brilliant White Light and suddenly it seems like the ship is moving forward through a tunnel of light.

Everything seems amazing and fantastical at first...until you see the massive black monstrosity rushing towards the ship...
>>
>>25463045
Well I'm calling it a night guys. I'll see you guys tomorrow. I apologize if some of you thought I mishandled Daiki, however this universe isn't perfect, bad shit has, can and will happen. However that doesn't meant you can help those who have suffered.

>>
>>25463045
I think you mean 90 on computer skills, not piloting. Not that I'm complaining, it means that Jake is the fucking Super Pilot / Super Engineer / Super Dad.
It was fun as always, maybe a little slow.

As for Daiki, we'll fix the bastard. That's what we do. If we survive the encounter with Cthulhu, that is.
>>
>>25463071
I've liked it. I'm eager to see where this is going. It might not be like manga Daiki, but I only know what about what the wiki says about Treasure Star, so I don't really have any particular attachment to him. And the character we've gotten is pretty interesting. Now let's just hope he manages to live out the arc, because it would be dramatically appropriate for him to die along the way, and I don't want that to happen. Especially with the horror from beyond time attacking us.
>>

(I hope he gets his spirit back. Destroying the Grand Wing system is a huge waste of a Storytelling MacGuffin, and Daiki was fun because he wasn't an angsty dramawhore who decided to kill all his friends because he changed history. He was fun because the whole thing was adventure and he kind of had a never give up hot blooded attitude.
I'm just worried that now with Daiki being so insistent on destroying it, people will just accept that.
I mean fuck, if Michael J. Fox can change history for the worse, then man the fuck up enough to fix it, Daiki certainly can.)
>>
>>25463087
Maybe situational bonuses (or negatives) depending how good or bad our decision-making is. Good or interesting calls might get a small bonus, while dicking around brings our piloting back down. Make survival hinge just as much on decisions as the roll of the dice.
>>
>>25463167
This. It should depend on the situation on hand, as well as decisions we made.

For example, because Super Pilots can't be read by X-Rounders, they get a bonus to piloting skills against them.
Dirk must constantly watch his ass in the middle of a fight or get a seizure because even those glasses don't do shit when he's in danger (that is, until he manages to get his act together).
>>
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25454059/

We can talk over skill advancement and Super Pilot/X-Rounder stuff tomorrow. I'm gonna hit the hay, night!
>>
>>25463071
It isn't perfect, but you aren't Tomino and this isn't V Gundam.
I understand where>>25463156 is coming from as well. You have the fans of Daiki, who was a good AGE character and then he gets fucked up in this way it'll make them bitter, especially when they wanted to see Awesome Adventures Daiki team up with Do the Impossible Jake.
I also think destroying the Grand Wing is a huge mistake. There's so much you can do with it, it's dangerous sure, but then so is the EXA-DB, the AGE Builder, and the Gundam.

(I also want to keep it so we can take the data and remove the time travel aspects before putting it on an MS and inventing the WINGS OF FUCKING LIGHT!
THEN we'll be V Gundam, but you still won't be Tomino.)
>>
>>25463309
Anyone else think we should talk Daiki into keeping it and becoming the AGE Canon's version of the Doctor?
>>
>>25463388
Nah, if anything, we should use it to discover Spiral Power.
>>
>>25463405
I'm betting that'll lead more from Dirk's X-Rounder powers. Grand Wing will probably lead into shit like the Sail of Light, Wings of Light, and if Crosswire is cool about it, short accidental jaunts into other Gundam universes, or the main AGE timeline so we can pick up technology from there.
Which would eventually have Daiki and the Crockers breaking into the Meta, and joining Taskforce 38 for totally awesome times.
>>
>>25463466
Well, considering how we're going to end up with nanomachines, I guess Dirk can make some X-Rounder self-repair system where he controls swarms of nanobots with his mind.
Hell, he could probably control bits outside of a MS.
>>
>>25463466
At worst or at best, they'll be press-ganged by The Editors to reclaim The Meta, or be part of a Fifth Column to undermine the TSAB.
