LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Gundam+AGE+Quest

Check my Twitter for Updates: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your Name is Dirk Crocker and you have managed to do a lot over the past few hours. Saved the colony, stopped your Vagan-Spy-Friend Zeheart from being rescued by the Magicians 8, met up with your Uncle Carlos and Desil, learned Akito isn't such a bad guy and created a lot of crap. You just met up with your father and had decided on who should go on what mission when he mentioned a strange ship that could get him to Mars without fear of being detected.

> Mars - Jake, Magicians 7.
> Colonies - Scarlet, Asemu, Diva, Camelot, Pirates, Mellis
> Big Ring - Dirk, Akito, Yurika, Magic Schoolbus

Confused on what he was talking about, you pressed and pressed and pressed and eventually he began to speak.

>Jake takes a deep breath and says "Because that ship is the reason I exist..."

How do you wish to proceed Dirk? What questions do you want to ask your Father?
>>
"...what? No, seriously, dad, what's up with this ship? And don't tell me how we're a family of time-travelers or something like that, because that's crazy, even for you."
>>
>>25362222
"...What? Are you serious? That doesn't make any sense at all. Time travel is pure fiction! Isn't it?"

Because really, what the Hell!?
>>
>>25362222
"What? What does that mean? Were you built, not born? Is our family the result of pre-AG cloning technology? Because Grandma and Grandpa never mentioned anything like that."
>>
>>25362222
"If it's that important then I'll need to hear an explanation before you guys head out. After all my existence is dependent on yours."
>>
>>25362330
We don't know it's time travel. I'm not sure Dirk would necessarily jump to that particular fantastical explanation. There are a number of explanations for a mysterious ship being responsible for Jake's existence. Aliens, pre-AG cloning projects, inter-dimensional travelers...There is a wide variety of insane plot twists that this thread could reveal.
>>
>>25362330
Insane time travel theory time:
Let's assume that in the original universe, things went to shit - Zarth gets destroyed, Jake gets orphaned and eventually joins the military. He becomes an Ace pilot, but instead of being his enthusiastic self, becomes a jaded and cynical ruthless bastard. In this timeline, the Vagan won, and Evilcunt's plan for creating a Social Darwinist utopia comes true - just instead of everyone being peaceful, everyone turns into a mad killing machine. In order to deal with the Vagan threat, the Feds decide to augment their aces with cybernetics, and make them artificial X-Rounders. Evil Jake somehow survives all that, gets aboard the time traveling ship, and gets sent back to the past, where he renames himself Arthur.

...I've got a headache now.

>>25362404
You've got a point there.
>>
>>25362404
Maybe Jack met his wife while exploring the ship? You know, he found her in cryostatis just as Jake found Travis?
>>
>>25362505
Don't worry about it. Just know that nanomachines are to blame.
>>
>>25362446
Was Arthur an X-Rounder? I don't know if that's ever been confirmed or denied. Certainly it would make sense as he's an Amuro analogue, but he could just be a SUPAH PILOTO.
>>
>>25362330
>>25362285
>>25362359
"...What? Are you serious? That doesn't make any sense at all. How could a ship be the reason you exist? Your not some kind of clone or alien are you? I mean I'm cool if your are, you just better not be playing another joke on us!" You point accusingly at your father and he smirks, recalling the many times he messed around with you two.

"Yeah, this better not be another one of your jokes like convincing me and Dirk we switched brains at birth!" Scarlet warns with grit teeth, making Asemu open his mouth to probably ask how that was done, but you quickly shake your head to stop him from getting himself killed by your sister.

"I'm not an alien and I'm not a clone, at least I'm pretty damn sure I'm not. Anyway, the ship..." Your father pauses, as if he still doesn't want to spell out exactly what relationship the ship has with his existence.

"Well let's just that things weren't like they were now. Once they were very different. However someone used this ship and changed things. They changed things that triggered my birth that apparently didn't happen originally. Thus, if this ship was used improperly to change things again, Me, everyone and everything you know could be altered" Jake explains, almost trying to be as vague as possible, making Scarlet and Asemu scratch their heads as what he's bloody talking about.

Any ideas Dirk?
>>
>>25362505
To be fair, this is nowhere near as bad as other Gundam plot twists. Besides, we are already messing with all the things, might as well kick reason to the curb.
>>
>>25362520
Oh god. Grandma Crocker is from the future, isn't she? What hair color does she have, does anyone remember? It's relevant to determining which canon character she's descended from. I have a horrible fear now that Jake is Kio's grandson. Though it would explain things, if the awesome skips a few generations.
>>
>>25362547
"Eh I can work with that, just make sure that you don't wake up any eldritch horrors and we'll be fine."
>>
>>25362547
..Oh bloody hell. I think I get it. Basically, original AGE happens normally, but due to the ship messing with the time stream it caused probability to flux like hell. Like Arthur wasn't killed in battle so his gundam remained intact and he was able to reproduce. Because Arthur didn't die, Jack and Jake were born and thus history changed due to that.
>>
>>25362547
"I...think I can sort of understand what you're trying to talk around. And that scares me a bit. Just... don't wake up Cthulhu or something while you're...traveling."
>>
>>25362547
"Oh God you're serious. This is a time-traveling ship and this is not the original timeline, isn't it?"
"Next you're going to tell me that an alternate dimension you is going to teach me to control my X-Rounder powers."

>>25362542
We know almost nothing about Arthur. He was the original Crusader pilot, and had control over MaG, CD, and MID. He was on the ship in the Graveyard while working for the Feds. After the ship gets attacked, he is reported missing, and his Gundam is eventually found on Zarth. Also, he probably joined Rysis while he was missing, and the two became lovers. And according to her, he was an insane, bloodthirsty super pilot.
And Jake is apparently his identical copy - the only difference is that Jake is good.
>>
>>25362547
"Okay. I think I get what you're saying. Just tell me this: what model of quantum physics does its technology seem to endorse? Because I really hope we're talking Everett-Wheeler, here, or things just got very existentially terrifying. I'm not sure I want to live in a world where causal violations aren't somehow constrained."
>>
>>25362576
> Jake is Kio's grandson
Don't even joke about that.
>>
>>25362876
Look, the only way we can prepare for the worst is by considering the most terrible possible circumstances. I'm not going to apologize for what I said.
>>
>>25362547
So is it a time travel ship, or a not? Because I need to know if it's cool to search it for awesome technology or not.

Oh! What if he's really Ryuji, who showed up in the past and didn't die, so he changed his name but never had Daiki, so now we're Daiki.
>>
>>25362955
Nah, Daiki is around. Because Jake & Daiki team-up sounds awesome.

Speaking of our trip to Mars, we could call Zeek and the rest of the Vagan defectors if they finished that cure or system for protection against those rays. And we could pick up some medicine, food and stuff for the Vagan civilians. I pictured Jake infiltrating the colony, giving the kids meds, food and toys and becoming the goddamn Vagan Santa. So when Ezelcant finally tries to capture them, all the kids begin booing his ass while screaming "Leave the Black Devil alone!"
>>
>>25362955
But we played as Jake. We know he's not Ryuji, because we know his parents and saw his internal monologue.

And I'm not really sure that this ship is the Treasure Star, necessarily. The Treasure Star exists because of time paradoxes, but is not itself capable of warping time like that. More likely it's some crazy thing from after the war, as Kio's philosophy of "can't we all just get along" isn't actually enough to stop hostilities and everything ended in colony drops. So they had to change the past. Maybe Ryuji's time travel event has been analyzed and duplicated, and that's how the timeship got made, but I don't think he's got any direct involvement in this.
>>
>>25362222
Hey Crosswire, who did the intro card?
>>
>>25362404
Causal Singularities like Takeru, inter-dimensional groups like The Transpace Guard, Akemi Homura, Pinky, etc etc.
>>
>>25363019
Or we're jumping to conclusions considering time-travel.
Maybe it's some ancient, pre-war ship that was supposed to travel quickly to Jupiter and back, and carry helium fuel. Such a ship would probably require engines that are considered impossible in the current day and age. Then the war broke out, and the original crew entered cryostatis, only to be found ages later by a young Jack Crocker. And among those frozen was his future wife.
>>
>>25363051
>>Pinky

We have a problem. Pinky hijacked a dimension-hopping ship that landed in MGNQ and its contents, which came from the setting of _another quest_. Happened sometime during the Siberia arc.
>>
>>25363062
Well, that is what I hope. I'd rather not violate causality if we didn't have to. But Jake is pretty strongly implying some sort of timeline-distorting system.

>They changed things that triggered my birth that apparently didn't happen originally.

Certainly sounds like there's a Jake Crocker-less universe to compare to that isn't just a hypothetical
>>
>>25363051
>The Transpace Guard
We know it's not the TG, we haven't seen MechaGodzilla or Kiryu yet.
>>
>>25363120
Well, they show up by Generation 3 in canon, so maybe...
>>
Is this ship's existence implying that, someone knows the "story" of Gundam AGE and tried to... "fix" its failings by interfering in the timeline and stuff with.. contaminants?
>>
>>25363221
Seems like it. So basically, we as the audience are actually a part of the story. Because what else are we doing, if not messing with AGE's timeline to make it better for our enjoyment? I mean, it could just be a "go back to the past to save the future" thing and it makes sense from an in-universe context, but I'd like to think there are inter-dimensional fanboys at work here.
>>
>>25363266
Jake found the TG-Mobile?
>>
>>25363348
Maybe, or it might be a random Shipper or some Fixer's blockade runner.

Damn it, now I want to use Super Robot cartoons as a propaganda tool against the Vagans. Our peace conference will also be an anime convention. Because that idea, as much as Nadesico then went on to deconstruct it, is still pretty awesomely hilarious.

Jake: Reverse engineer the cloaking tech.
Dirk: Upgrade the armor for the mobile suits that are going to Mars.
After that, both: Perfect the Anti-X-Rounder tech.

Scarlet could call in Hogan, who knows what they have available now.
Also, Jake could call in Zeek and see if they have some tech available for his trip. Maybe get some supplies and meds for the Vagan kids.

We need to have the AGE Builder make a 150 Meter Katana for each ship.

Also can we make a wear for the AGE-2? Maybe based off the Proto-Clanche's four beam cannons or something?
>>
>>25363858
We need to make sure that everyone has weapons that can punch through the latest Vagan EM armor, that might mean a lot of solid projectile weapons are going out and we may need to design new ones for that.

We should spend some time looking over the Nanomachine stuff with Dad and Rena, find any flaws, bugs, and improvements, and then sandbox it and start throwing some together, it'll be fun.

Also, we should spend some time in private with Rena, because we won't see her for a while and I doubt we'll be finding awesome engineer girls like her anywhere else.

We already have mass-produced railguns. The ability to swap out different ammo types was cited as the reason that they've become popular. But I don't think we have grenade launchers on them. Though that could just be that our current loadout doesn't have them. The test facilities seemed a bit under-stocked to me.

We need squad support weapons as well. Next idea: 180mm Heavy EM Rifle. New advances in rail-weapon tech allow the 180mm the same acceleration per meter with the heavier round as the 100mm Bullpup Rifle. With a barrel 4 times longer than the Bullpup and a round 80% larger in diameter, it can punch through any known MS. It can even destroy Mobile Armors and, with good aim, can cripple smaller Vagan warships.

Power requirements restrict it to semi-automatic fire, and it's size gets in the way at close ranges. Still, it's a good weapon when out of shipboard weapon range or for firing through beam chaff clouds.
>>
>>25363858
I'd like to see if Jake has any ideas for improving DODS Rifle penetration better than the AGE-2's solution of "get a bigger gun". We never did get around to building those Variable Speed DODS Rifles.
>>
>>25364023
We have EM bullpumps, and I'm not sure that they pack the same punch as the good old EM Crossbow.
Maybe make an EM Assault Rifle - faster rate of fire, good for suppresion. EM Snipers. Hell, make everything EM.
Also, missiles.

>>25364071
Particle weapons - from some thread a while ago:
> A true particle beam, firing either electron or ionized particles, could be very useful. It would impart both thermal and kinetic energy, and induce electric fields in the target by bremstrusstralung radiation(why is that word always left untranslated from German?). It would deal damage by multiple means, and be very hard to create a single defense capable of blocking it.
It's basically the DODS rifle, but firing ionized particles.
>>
>>25364131
Just as an aside, isn't it "bullpup"? That's the term for a gun that places the handle and trigger mechanism ahead of the ammo magazine, right? Or is it meant to indicate something else?

Further aside: Why don't we have bullpup DODS Rifles? There's no reason not to save space that way, considering that as energy weapons they could put their E-Cap anywhere on the stock.
>>
>>25363997
Powered Armors are currently being worked on. Estimated time to completion is 3 hours.

>>25364258
Yeah, its 'Bullpup'. Half the people here seem either misspell it or don't know what a bullpup rifle really is.
>>
>>25364258
I think it is bullpup, I guess it's a typo and I never bothered to check up on it. Sorry about that.
But yeah, apparently it functions as a typical bullpup railgun.

As for the DODS bullpups, I think we didn't have the tech for creating something like that.
Are we talking about creating something that uses magazines or...?
>>
>>25364317
Remember in Gundam Seed ep 1, they hinted at powered armor?

DOH, DROPPED!
>>
>>25363947
Oh there are Grenade Launchers for the EM Bullpumps, you just didn't have the time to slap some on. There are plenty of

>>25363965
EM Crossbows and EM Ballista's were mass produced a long time ago. Even before the EM Bullpump was produced. They were standard armaments before the EM Bullpump became produced and phased most of them out. They are still used, but mostly in rear guard units.

>>25363997
The "Genoriders" are being made. It'll be 3 hours till they are completed and touched up by the AGE Builder.

>>25363992
You mention and explain the Nano-Technology to your father. You've already mentioned it once but you bring it up in greater detail.

"I don't think we have time for an experiment like that. Not now. Give me a copy of the data, I'll try running some simulations with Ma G to give you an idea what to expect. OK?"

"Alright..." You say with a nod, obviously knowing your father's knowledge of the many Grey-Goo-Doomsday novels and movies out there.

>>25364052
The AGE Builder is just a little ways away from making that EM Lancer you were thinking about previously, that new DODS Rifle is practically done to.

However your Dad's test team is working on a 180mm Heavy EM Rifle. It's still in the testing phases and it has some issues, but you could ask for a couple of them to try out. Chances are they'll have design flaws and problems, but that's conventional weapons testing for you.
>>25364317
(Yeah I mean Bullpup. Sorry.)

>>25363886
>After that, both: Perfect the Anti-X-Rounder tech.

If only it was possible to perfect an incredible experimental and unstable system in a matter of hours. Even with You, Dad, Asemu, Dirk and everyone in the colony working on the system it would take a lot more then 24 hours to stabilize it. The system has already ended up killing one test pilot.

(cont)
>>
>>25364338
I just mean that there's no need to make a full stock on an energy weapon. Hell, it would arguably be better as a bullpup. Most beam rifles in Gundam are fired single-handed. Making the gun shorter and easier to handle would be a benefit to anything other than the necessarily long-barreled sniper DODS rifles.
>>
>>25364435
>new DODS Rifle

>>25364435
>killing one test pilot.

Girard Spriggan here we come.
>>
>>25364468
I'd Girard Spriggan

>>25364435
That reminds me. Do you think Asemu would get totally mad if we stole some of his DNA to find out who his father was? Or is it going to be a Darth Vader moment between Asemu and Flit?
>>
>>25364436
That's actually a great idea.
We could perhaps combine it with some magnetic induction system or something to create improved DODS rifles that could mess up that new Vagan armor something fierce.
Instead of simply using brute force like the HDODS rifle does, we use ionized particles to shut it down and burn the living shit out of the suit, possibly even frying a couple of systems.

>>25364488
Better make it a Darth Vader moment when they finally meet, for the first time.
>>
>>25364523
I'm sure they've met at some point, Asemu's been over to the Asuno household plenty. Unless Flit's made a practice of always being away with his duties at any time Asemu could be possibly expected to be there. Which would explain why Akito's gotten so insecure, if he thinks HE'S the one that Flit doesn't want to see. Oh god, Flit, why can't you have a good relationship with you kids? Is there something that happened before the point of divergence that's doomed you to be an absent father? Maybe something to do with your own parents' deaths that left you without any knowledge of how parent-child relationships work?
>>
>>25364468
>>25364488
(Girard and Reina are still very young, it's unlikely Jake would use test pilots that young.)

>>25363902
Scarlet called Hogan a while ago. All she got was a short encrypted message saying "We'll arrive in four hours". Bisbidan has been heavily pressured by the Federation due to the organizations criminal nature. It's unlikely you'll be able to get anymore info until they arrive.

>>25364488
You're pretty sure Asemu would get pissed if you tried to steal his DNA for anything. Besides he gets rather upset when you ask or try to find out who his father is. He always says "It doesn't matter"

>>25364435
>Jake: Reverse engineer the cloaking tech.

Your Dad decides to look over the cloaking device. It's COMPLICATED, even for Jake. It's obviously very experimental and appears somewhat sensitive. You can give your Dad a hand if you want to prevent anything nasty from happening. Or do you have something else you want to work on?

Well Dirk? Want to help Dad out with the Red-suits invisibility?
>>
>>25364662
Help Jake. It's been ages since you two hung out.
>>
>>25364662
Help out Jake. Even if we can't completely figure out how to reverse-engineer the cloak, the data on how it works could speed up development of countermeasures. We need the Artimes Wear and it's sensor systems as quickly as possible. Once we get some combat data on the Artimes, we can start working on sensor attachments for our MS and, eventually, integrated sensors for mass-production MS and battleship-level anti-Umbrella sensors.
>>
>>25364662
>You're pretty sure Asemu would get pissed if you tried to steal his DNA for anything.
Asemu! We stole your DNA and make you an opposite gender clone. Her name is Yunoa and she takes after Emily mostly.
>>
>>25364662
Yeah, let's mess with the cloaking system. Anything working with complex optical effects could help us advance our own sensor and laser weapon systems, even if we can't figure out how to replicate the Invisible Umbrella itself. I want us to get SigMaxxis tech a half generation early, so it's nice and refined by the time whoever takes Kio's place (he will not exist. He will not.) gets the AGE-3.

Akito feels that he needs to somehow reconnect with his father, while Yurika is doing her best to keep everyone happy, even though she's broken and sad on the inside as her brother. And now with Zeheart breaking her heart and Akito being an even more insufferable jerk...

The system is a nightmare to work with, however you do manage to get some usable data off of it. With it you might just be able to make a detection method for the Invisible Umbrella System.

"I feel sorry for the poor bastards who had to work on this thing. It's been at least 35 years since I last saw something like this and from what I can tell they still haven't perfected it. movement isn't an issue, but power sure the hell is. Unless it's stationary and using all it's generator power to run the system, it can't functional for any long period of time." Jake shakes his head in disappointment and worry.

(cont)

"Well at least we have a way of seeing the larger units, or we will." You say with a shrug.
>>
>>25365486
Maybe we can count it towards making an anti-Umbrella sensor system. Up to Crosswire.
>>
>>25365516
Hopefully something.

You split up the data between you, Scarlet and Dad so you'll all have it on hand if you need to do something with it later. The work took about 3 hours but you think it was worth it.

Now what do you want to do? The "Genoriders" are finished. 10 of them, all experimental and in need of testing.

However there is Yurika and Rena to talk to.

That and there's bound to be something else to do.

What would you like to do now Jake?
>>
>>25365551
Asemu is the local test pilot, let him test one out.
Scarlet is probably chatting with Rena about who's the bigger Mellis fangirl, so let's go check out Yurika.
>>
>>25365551
See if we can't work on making suits that use artificial muscle fibers to increase the speed and strength of the wearer.
>>
>>25365551
Well, we obviously ask Rena if she wants to go for a ride on a crazy armor-cycle. We can talk to Yurika after that. We've got more time, seeing how we'll be heading the same direction as her, but we should still say something before the day is over.
>>
>>25365601
Lets get the Mospeda finished first. Rather not make cool underarmor only to get crushed to a pulp when we transform
>>
>>25365551
Let the 7 know that the Genoriders are finished and need testing. Then go visit Yurika. Dirk can come back later to oversee the Genoriders' testing and chat with Rena.

>>25365535
Maybe use it towards the successfulness of the Genorider tests. No injuries or major flaws during testing.
>>
>>25365643
I just want to see Carlos come up with puns about the Genoriders. Something about R&D testing being a really vicious cycle, or some awful shit like that.
>>
>>25365551

Test the Genoriders.
>>
>>25365689
Oh God. I pity the 7. Jake and Carlos are going to engage in a horrible pun-off, that'll last for days.
>>
>>25365689
Oh God...where's a Vagan attack when you need one?

You inform the 7 that the Genoriders are ready for testing, Asemu joins in on the testing since he's basically become a Test pilot anyway. Your Dad and Carlos step aside to look over the bikes themselves chatting with each other.

"What's the matter Carlos?" Your father asks.

"...I can't think of anything..." Carlos mutters.

"What?"

"I can't think of a pun..." Carlos admits.

"OK what kind of alien are you and what have you done with the real Carlos." Dad demands.

"Hey gimme a break it's a transforming bike, I'm having a bit of a hard time, give me a little bit..."

While Carlos suffers his mid-lie pun-crisis you go and visit Yurika who is checking up on her Gundam Unit 2.

She turns to you and smiles. "Hey Dirk, did you want something?"

Well Dirk, what do you want to say to the nice lady?
>>
>>25366011
"Hey. How're you holding up? Need some help with that thing?"
>>
>>25366011
Ask how she is dealing with the whole 'We're about to go into a fight and people might not come back' thing.
>>
>>25366011
"You or your Gundam need anything?"
>>
>>25366011
Wow Carlos, you've really lost your clutch. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get into top gear again soon. You'll be firing on all four cylinders in no time. I expect you to brake all the records for motorcycle puns. Besides, no one's gonna give you the shaft for NOT punning.

That's all I've got. A lot of the puns I can think of for cycles are just generic engine wordplay.
>>
>>25366436
I guess these things are going to take cycles of testing and fine tuning.
But soon, everybody is going to be head over wheels about them.
>>
>>25366011
"Just wanted to see how you're doing. It's been a pretty crazy few days. It's so dramatic I can't even remember how long I've been on base. How about you?"
>>
>>25364436
>other than the necessarily long-barreled sniper DODS rifles
But the advantage of a bullpup layout is that you can have the same barrel length in a shorter overall length. So it's a benefit in a sniper DODS too. Even if all we wind up doing with it is keeping the OAL while upping the barrel length (Actually, that's not a bad idea. We should do it.)
>>25366011
Ask her how she's doing. After all, she is a friend, even if her brother has turned into a real cockhydrant lately.
>>
>>25366673
Jake: "Carlos, man, get a GRIP."
Carlos: "To be honest, I can't HANDLE this new GEAR of yours."
Jake: "You have to RIMember, this is a prototype, so we're going to CHAINge a lot of things."
I'm sorry.

"Hey Yurika, how's everything going?" You ask with a smile.

"My nose is feeling better, still broken but it doesn't hurt that much anymore" She says, pointing to her taped nose.

"That's good to hear. You or your Gundam need anything?"

"Not really. I keep my suit pretty well maintained and pretty well armed. The Phoenix Wear I'm using should carry me for quite a while. If you make too much stuff then you'll end up wasting resources and producing a lot of clutter. Sometimes it good to make due with what you have." Yurika explains.

"I guess that makes sense." You say, realizing your own habits tend to lead you in the exact opposite direction.

"So how are you feeling?" She asks.

"Aren't I the one who's supposed to ask that? Other then the fact my home was nearly destroyed, the enemy is approaching the Earth to break through our defenses and my best friend is an enemy spy who can't defect or he'll have his parents killed." You explain with a heavy sigh.

"Yeah but Zeheart is still our friend. Even if he doesn't act like it hurts him, it does." Yurika explains. "Dirk can you promise me something? Please save Zeheart. He's our friend and I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if he was killed..."

Well Dirk? Will youi make such a promise?
>>
>>25367020
"That's the plan, but if he starts dropping colonies he's going down."
>>
>>25367020
"Yurika, I will do whatever I can to save Zeheart. I'll try, I will sincerely try.

But I can't promise I will be able to, I'm just one person. There's so many things I have to protect, and I'm not sure I can protect everything."

Give the girl a hug.
>>
>>25367020
"It'll take some time and effort to pull his head completely out of his ass. And until it's out, he's a danger to us all. We're working on it, though. Dad's going to go get his parents, as well. Don't worry so much, Yurika. We'll get that moron's head back on straight. Just who the Hell do you think I am?"
>>
>>25367201
I think Jake is the only one who can say that last line with a straight face. Dirk can't do it without feeling silly and awkward.
>>
>>25367308
That's the point! Get Yurika to laugh a little. She's getting WAY too serious about that twatwaffle Zeheart. Gotta liven things up a bit.
>>
>>25367020
"Yurika. I promise to do everything I can to save Zeheart, but I can't promise you that I'll be able to do that."

"After all, I'm just one impossibly cool guy in an impossibly cool Gundam, and I need to protect everyone - including you. So if he decides to go omnicidal again, I will have to stop him. Hopefully, it won't come to that - we're going to save his parents, and then we'll fix him. And we can do that - after all, the motherfucking Crockers are on this case, and we do the impossible."

"Just who the hell do you think we are?"

Then feel awkward and silly, while she laughs a little.
>>
>>25367128
This one's good, too. Just depends which way Cross wants to go. This one's better if we're leaning more towards a true Gundam story. Mine would work better if we're heading further into Super Robot territory.
>>
>>25367201
I'm more worried about a Vagan agent killing him. The Vagan-Federation collaborators would probably take him out before he can spill any secrets. Remember, he is sort of Ezelcant's protege. Even if he doesn't know that much about Vagan plans because of compartmentalization, he still knows enough to be an intelligence risk. Let's just hope that Ezelcant won't abandon him as a useful tool before we manage to rescue his parents and set up the X-Jammer. Then we just need to guard against assassins. Forever. Freaking spycraft. Anyone got any ideas for a new identity for him to hide under?

>>25367535
...Fuck! I forgot about that. Shit, this could be a problem. Plus the fact we had him arrested for trying to destroy a fucking COLONY! Keeping the twat alive won't be easy. Especially when I was one of the first ones to call for his head. I'd still rather kill him, but then Yurika would either try to kill Dirk or herself.
>>
>>25367535
We could give him to the Bisidian pirates, but I'd rather see him face trial for his crimes. He'll live, but he'll be in prison for quite a while.
Maybe after that ask Hogan to break him out and take him in - he'll still be a prisoner, but no one will go directly for his head.

And apparently the secret base with Vagan deserters isn't quite so secret - we might have an intelligence leak there - so keeping him there isn't an option either.
>>
>>25367767
I wouldn't mind seeing Zeheart tossed into prison. Not too sure how long he'd survive, though. Between Vagan and Feddie spies wanting to silence him and other inmates after him for trying to drop colonies, even Zeheart's fancy-ass X-Rounder powers would be pushed to the limit.
>>
>>25367718
Killing him won't stop them from trying to drop Colonies. Right now we're good, the tropes say he'll break out and show up right as we're about to save his parents and the Vagan are trying to kill them and he'll switch sides.
>>
>>25367859
He'd probably be kept isolated from the general population, especially since we kneecapped him. Though, that doesn't really prevent a dedicated assassin from getting to him, just him dying from a random beating.
>>
>>25367926
Or Jake talks to him and telling him how we're about to save his parents. Cue Zeheart staring in awe at the Black Devil and waiting for his return.

>>25367943
So, he faces trial, we take him in, give him to Bisidian where he'll be kept in prison far away from the rest of the world.
The only thing he'll have to fear then is Hogan supplexing while yelling "YEAH BROTHER."
>>
>>25367128
"Yurika, I will do whatever I can to save Zeheart. I'll try, I will sincerely try but I can't promise I will be able to, I'm just one person. There's so many things I have to protect, and I'm not sure I can protect everything." You say giving her a hug.

Before you Yurika can thank you, a voice calls down from the maintenance catwalk above you.

"If it isn't little Jake Junior! I see you still have the moves of your old man..."

You look up and see a young, curvy, blond haired women grinning down on you, making your stomach lurch a little.

"Come up, give your Aunt Rysis a hug!

(Here's where I have to end things today. I promise we'll go all out tomorrow. I've been busy and need to sleep and plan.)
>>
>>25368026
>Aunt Rysis
Best Aunt
>>
>>25368026
"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HIT ON MINORS! IT WAS CREEPY ENOUGH WHEN YOU FLIRTED WITH MY DAD! AREN"T YOU LIKE 100 YEARS OLDER THAN BOTH OF US?

I love you too."
>>
>>25367926
I don't know. The story seems to be leaning towards Zeheart getting his head out, but LOTS of people want him dead. Frankly, Yurika and Desil are really the only ones wanting to keep him alive. Just about everyone else wants him tossed in prison or out an airlock. Crosswire might decide to keep him alive, but the odds are stacked against Zeheart. We might save him now only to lose him to an assassin a week later. I just don't think he'll survive for long without some major work on our parts or a major asspull on Crosswire's.

There I go again over-analyzing things...
>>
>>25368026
Oh god no. Damn it, Rysis, what are you doing here? I can think of so few explanations for you being here that don't scare me.
>>
>>25368076
Next time: Mellis and Rysis sniping at each other. Jake running for his life. Dirk trying to explain how Yurika is NOT his girlfriend.
>>
>>25368026
This is gonna get interesting...in the Chinese sense.
>>
>>25368069
>There I go again over-analyzing things...
You're over analyzing. Gundam isn't like normal, and we're definately not going Tomino. We've had too many people survive for that to happen.

>but LOTS of people want him dead.
Not true, the Vagans would but only if he doesn't switch sides. The Crockers will keep him alive because he's their friend and that's what they do.
The only people really after his head are you and that other guy calling to kill him every time his name shows up.
>>
>>25368101
Next time: We charge at Rysis and motorboat the shit out of her because we can.
>>
>>25368133
>only if he doesn't switch sides.
er, that should be "only if he does switch sides."
>>
>>25368133
I meant people in-universe. Still, you've got a point about us heading away from Tomino Territory.

We still gotta keep Zeheart's ass away from Leviathan, the Federation itself (who knows Zeheart planned a colony drop), some of the guards or staff who might go after him, and Vagan spies. Doable maybe, but it'll be a lot of work.
>>
>>25368101
"Auntie, she isn't my girlfriend, seriously, I love her like family, but we're not going out.

Before you get any ideas I'm not going out with anyone right now. Before you start snooping around this one girl Rena who I just met, but I'm not going out with her either. Nice girl though, she's funny, a good pilot, I could talk engineering with her all day, and she isn't afraid of grey goo scenarios.

Oh god, I'm going to start dating her aren't I? Auntie, help."
>>
>>25368213
True enough. Still, we can pull it off, we're awesome like that.
>>
>>25368069
If we save his parents, we're going to end up not only with him, but the entire Galette family on our side.
So I guess we could give him to Zeek and the rest of the Vagan defectors or Bisidian where he'll serve his sentence.
Bisidian sounds like the best and safest bet, though. Maybe turn him into a badass pirate.

>>25368234
And then, because the Diva docked, Arisa comes in and begins messing with him.
>>
>>25368026
Quick question: does Rysis still want to kill Jake, or did she decide to constantly troll the shit out of him and Mellis instead?
>>
>>25368273
You yourself aren't completely sure. She hasn't tried to kill him in front of you, but for all you know she's been trying to kill him since you were born.

Also, what does "Interesting in the Chinese Sense" mean exactly?
>>
>>25368340
Ancient Chinese Curse:

May you live in interesting times.
>>
>>25368366
Oh! I get it now.
>>
>>25368340
Interesting like sudden Vagan attack, or nano-bots going grey-goo doomsday interesting. A person wishes something interesting would happen, and God answers with a break-in, or sudden terrorist attack, or catching an incurable disease. Get the picture yet?
>>
>>25368234
And then it turns out Rena is actually Rysis's daughter, and she came here to visit her baby before she went off to Mars.

Well I'll see you guys tomorrow!
>>
>>25368340
It seems like the friendly type of trying to kill each other. If either of them were really invested in killing the other it would've happened by now, it just seems like a hobby for Rysis and an annoyance for Jake.
>>
>>25368430
We would have met her before if that was the case, considering how Rysis tends to show up for holidays.
She's probably here because she's on that mysterious ship as well.
