"Alright you, uh, three," You begin, talking to Sayaka and your new Caster Servant, "You're going to go assault a Servant, Villain, in their own lair. If all goes well, we can wipe another Servant off the map tonight. If things god bad, however, I want you two to retreat. I do not wish to lose you two for little appreciable gain. Worst comes to worst, I can settle for annoying Villain and their Master. If the enemy Saber shows up, retreat immediately."

"And if we encounter Hero?" Caster asks curiously.

"That, too, is a sign to retreat." You order.

Your two Servants leave with Caster trying to amiably chat with Sayaka who seems indifferent to the other girl's attempts at conversation. At the same time you have your familiar move to follow them, its new metal skin quickly adapting to the changes in it's surroundings. You watch, through its eyes, as your two servants cautiously approach the hotel you suspect Villain to be hiding in. They seem to stop and argue over something for a while when a small dark cloud seems to move in an alleyway and Caster springs into motion, sending a fireball into the alley. In the sudden burst of light you can see thousands of insects, most of which were scorched by her attack. Sayaka turns to the hotel and kicks the door down before flinching back as thousands of bugs spill out, biting at her and crawling across her. Caster turns and blasts her with a burst of fire, causing Sayaka to scream as her skin bubbles and regenerates from the bad burns and she glares at Caster who shrugs. Sayaka says something and then Caster nods and grins. The two move back a ways away from the building before Caster turns and aims one palm towards the hotel. She says something and simultaneously a bolt of fire and ice leap from her hand, spiraling around each other until they collide just inside the doorway of hotel and there's a small explosion of fire and ice. The hotel begins to collapse in on itself, parts of it now burning and other parts frozen and brittle. For several tense moments both you and your Servants stare at it.

There might still be civilians in the surrounding buildings. Wholesale slaughter of innocents, while not expressly forbidden, is certainly frowned upon. Its also basically playing the Unwanted Attention Lottery, since up to now the War has been relatively low on overt collateral damage.

If civilians aren't an issue, then by all means burn away.

You nudge the familiar forward and suddenly it stumbles and falls into an alleyway. Caster and Sayaka turn in surprise at the sound as the familiar looks over itself now noticing the many ropes of spider silk lashed around its legs and back, things you hadn't noticed due to a lack of touch. With a ripple, the metal forms into small blades, cutting the silk to pieces and your direct the familiar to its feet.

"Master?" Sayaka says questioning.

"Burn the building to its foundation, search the area. Villain must still be here and we will find him. And caster, no team killing." You order. The two Servants nod and move away, Sayaka ducking down a side alley while Caster continues to throw magic at the remains of the hotel, alternately burning and freezing the rest of the mansion down. It takes almost no time at all before the rest if the hotel is completely demolished. There's a buzzing behind you and your turn to face Villain, standing amidst a cloud of insects. Two bright yellow eyes glare out at you unflinching, even as bugs occasionally crossing them.

"Leave. Now." Villain commands, their voice a cacophony of buzzing and chirps, thin and reedy at times. You glance cautiously at Caster and notice them tensed and ready, a small flickering orb of fire hidden behind her back.

"Hey, did you know that bugs are weak to both fire and cold?" You retort, rolling to one side as Caster fires off a blast of fire shortly followed by a blast of ice. The swarm of bugs dissipates with the force of the attack, and amongst the corpses of charred and frozen bugs you can see a set of melted yellow goggles. "Caster, scorch the earth." You order.

"Yes, Master." She says with a grin, letting out a wave of fire with a grin, setting a few more nearby buildings on fire. Several swarms of bugs come out of the alleys around you, a few chasing Sayaka.

"Master, I'm having some rather significant difficulties in harming a swarm of bugs." She complains as Caster lays down some suppressive fire. The bugs form into several humanoid shapes, again with bright yellow eyes staring at you.

"Last Warning. Leave now, and we will pursue no further. I have no quarrel with you." Villain commands.

Well shit, looks like we can't pin him down. Might be best to retreat and evaluate what we've learned, since apparently we either can't find the main body, or he doesn't have a main body for us to attack in the first place.

"Fine, this is getting us nowhere, and I don't feel like burning down half the city trying to flush you out. But before I leave, allow me to indulge my curiosity. Why team up with Hero to take down Archer? One would expect you two to be... incompatible, to say the least."

May as well try to pump him for some info while we're here.
>>
>>25308224
Yeah, Saber isn't really suited for this task. However, this is a grail war and we need to kill them all if we want the reach the root, or a minimum of 7 Servants if more than 7 were summoned.
I'm hesitant to just let Meguca Caster take Villain on her own though...

...
Hmmm... looking at Villian's stats, he has Disengage A+
From the type moon wiki: >C: Bonus effect of returning battle conditions to what they were at the beginning of the match.

Unless we're sure we can take him out now, I think we should leave. The only one who'll be weakened in this battle would be us.

Perhaps instead of fighting Servants, we should aim for hacking the grail and figuring out if it's a monkey's paw or not. We have three nonstandard classes in this war, so it at least merits looking into.
>>
>>25308353
>you don't seem like half the douche your master is.

Do we know who his Master is? Marianne is unlikely, since there was a distinct lack of evil bugs at her house, and I doubt she would want her Servant setting up shop a significant distance away from her residence, that just don't make sense. Odds are her Servant is Hero.
>>
>>25308419

"Efficiency. With three people, there was a nice system of checks and balances for resolving issues, as well." Villain replied, emphasizing the number and exploding into a swarm of bugs. "Now please leave." His voice buzzed through the insects.

"Right. Caster, if anyone follows us burn them." You say, taking off after Sayaka. After a short moment Caster followed. When you get back to base you'll...

>And we do need to be looking around for clues on what the fuck kind of grail this is.

True, but finding it is going to be a pain in the ass. We've got a few options in terms of Grail investigation, none of which seem particularly promising at the moment.

1. Find the Greater Grail. It'll probably be near a Leyline but it'll also be very well hidden, and we don't know where to start looking. Plus if anyone catches on to what we're after they'll try to stop us with extreme prejudice.

2. Find the Grail Vessel and work backwards from there. Problematic at the moment because we haven't encountered any likely candidates, and the Vessel (assuming its even human and not an object) won't start exhibiting symptoms until several more Servants have died.

Of course both those options rely on the assumption that this Grail basically works like the Fuyuki Grail, which isn't necessarily a given.
>>
>>25308757
>[]Move your base of operations to Monster's old Leyline
It would be a shame to waste all the preparation that we've made on the docks, but it would be worth it to set it up again on a leyline for extra prana. We can always return to it if things go horribly wrong and we lose our base. Again.
>>
>>25308757
>[]Hunt down the other Leyline in town
I like our current base for now, and I'm guessing Monster's leyline is going to be watched.

We should probably whip up a familiar to keep an eye on Monster's old leyline just in case anyone else tries to set up shop.

Oh yeah, duh, we've got Double Caster going on now. That is worth looking in to.

As an added bonus, if Meguca Caster has her butt parked on a Leyline we can probably get away with summoning a fourth one. She's on the Leyline, one of the others will be hooked up to our mana generator, and we can have 2 active.

I just want Kyoko to make an appearance. With all the non-standard classes in this war, there is a distinct lack of HOT-BLOODED LANCER.

>>
>>25309369
>Sayaka WILL witch out

We've had nothing to suggest that they're capable of doing that unless Caster decides to make it happen. We've had Sayaka active for a long damn time, not to mention the other girls, and we haven't seen any evidence to suggest that them witching out unexpectedly is even a risk. As far as I can tell the whole soul gem mechanic is absent, which is the normal catalyst for a Witch transformation.

"Caster, can you detect leylines?" You ask your newest recruit once everyone is safely back at base.

"Vaguely, yes. If I'm within a few blocks, I can probably pick them up." She answers.

"Right. Then I want you to head out with my familiar and start scouting the east side of town. Saber and I will cover the west. If you find anything, have the familiar get my attention. If we find anything, I'll let you know through the familiar." You tell her. She nods, and takes off with the metal beast.

~I shall keep an eye on things here, with Monster.~ Kyubei informs you. You give him a nod of thanks and turn to Sayaka.

"No more bugs?" She asks.

"No more bugs." You assure her. She lets out a sigh of relief.

"Great. I didn't really want to get burned again just to get rid of the damned things." She muttered.

"Is that what Caster did?" You ask curiously as you head out with her.

"Mhm. It hurt like a bitch, but its not like it leaves any lasting damage. It was also quicker and less painful than trying to deal with hundreds of bugs laced with what felt like pepper spray and tear gas rolling around on my body and in my eyes." She answered. You two walked along the beach and you cast out a few magical hooks to try and feel the flow of mana in the local area. Its being drawn in slightly from the ocean heading inland slightly. Most Leylines tend to have an impression of the area around them, and the mana flowing into this one feels cold and alien. After another hour or so, you have pinpointed the direction it goes in from the coast, and it is most definitely in the direction of the college.

The fuck does Villain mean he has no quarrel with us? He tried to kill us/our allied Servant, our ally, and our ally's Servant.
>>

Bug-man presumably also includes spiders. I think spider webs were mentioned when we investigated his lair earlier as well.
>>
>>25310231
Indeed. He has no personal beef with us, and besides, he thinks they were fighting Archer and not us.

Far as he knows, we're just Caster, someone he and his master have (wisely) chosen to leave alone for now. Of course, we don't know how much they know, but even if they know everything the servant can still bear us no ill will in particular.

Still, he has bug clones. Finding this fucker is going to be a bitch.
>>
>>25310274
>he thinks they were fighting Archer and not us.

I think everyone present knows that Caster was involved in some way, since Sayaka and Candeloro jumped in when shit went down.

All the remaining Masters probably know that Caster is using proxies to do his fighting by this point, so I'm sure they can put 2 and 2 together and realize that Team Caster helped Archer out there. Whether they've realized that we're in direct control of Archer is another matter entirely.

You send a quick message through your familiar telling Caster to meet you at the college and pull your phone out and shoot a text to Tomoko. You meet her outside her dorm room where she and Assassin are waiting, Assassin is currently in a maid's outfit again. Caster arrives at about the same time, and there's a grim look on her face.

"You found a leyline?" Tomoko asks excitedly. You nod, as does Caster.

"In the library, somewhere underneath it." She remarks.

"Yes. Do you know if the library has a basement?" You ask Tomoko.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. There's a whole hidden library and stuff down there. Normally, we students can't go down there, but Assassin was really helpful in unlocking the doors at night and sneaking in." Tomoko replies.

"Then you've already been down there?" You ask her. She and Assassin nod. You're a little surprised at that, she may not be able to feel the leyline as well as you can especially since you didn't really notice it until you were looking for it, but surely she would have noticed its cold and alien presence in its central stronghold. "Then I would appreciate your assistance in getting in." You say.

"Alright." Assassin mumbles, fading away.

"She'll have it all unlocked by the time we get there." Tomoko says, taking your hand and dragging you towards the library. As you arrive on the steps, the door creaks open slowly and eerily, Assassin standing in the shadows. Tomoko ushers you inside the dark library quickly and Assassin quickly shuts the door behind you. Tomoko drags you through the darkness that you can barely see through and pushes a door behind the librarian's counter open and leads you to a huge metal door tucked in a corner of the break room. With a grunt she pushes it open and then reaches inside and flicks a switch. With a flicker an ancient light turns on in a stone staircase leaded down into the earth, and the alien vibe of the leyline seems to practically pulse along the walls.

Agreed. We've likely triggered a few of his bounded fields as well. Question, is our MC or anyone in our party good at sensing the presence of those things. Cuz if we or they did we can be damn sure this is a workshop.

And as to why she can stand it MC? Her origin is blood, her reality marble is a blatant reference to R'lyeh, and she's a 4chan nerd to boot. So this isn't out of the ordinary for her.

>>25310800
She poked around with her servant. Our boy might have just let her be to gague her as a magus and gather whatever intel he could. Hell he might not even be involved in the war. Ya never know how many magi are in a given area, not all of them get command seals ya know...
>>

Have Tomoyo tell us what she knows of the place, then poke around a bit. Have the Casters go 5-10 paces in front of the party and lea the way to detect and disarm any potential magical traps, while still being in sight of everyone else in case of an ambush.

Abandoned or not, there could be the odd trap that Tomoko simply avoided blindly walking into.

Truth. So much plotting, scheming, intel gathering and paranoia to deal with. Seriously, masters must have a high ulcer rate. So very much to worry about...

We need more prana generators. A lot more. We need to get working on that. Caster's been helpful in that regard, helping us to refine our design and all. If only we could figure out the mystery that'd convert electricity into the stuff. Then again, that's pretty much what our wish is. To make such things interchangeable.

A world where the mundane and the magic are but one and the same. It's a glorious world, if only those fucking luddites at the Clock Tower shared our vision. The poor sorry fools, their prejudice against technology blinds them so...

"Sounds like a Magus workshop. Anything else important?" You ask her, peering in cautiously.

"Um...the goop smells kinda rank but you kinda get used to it. Some of the books are difficult to read. Um...I don't think anyone comes down here, really, since once I fell asleep and Assassin said nobody came down here all day." Tomoko replies with a shrug.

"And you don't...feel the leyline?" You ask her.

"Mm...not really? I mean, I feel something comforting and familiar, and this place is calming to me." She replied. You suppress a shudder.

"Caster, Assassin. If you two don't mind going first in case of someone being there. Caster, check for traps like Bounded Fields or anything of that sort. Saber, cover us in case someone tries to get us from the rear." You order. The servants nod and set into motion. You nervously follow Assassin and Caster down the stairs, Tomoko humming something to herself as you go. Eventually the stairs begin to spiral and come out into a large open cavern. In the very center is a deep basin with a pool of something brackish and foul smelling. In one corner there's less of a desk and more of a table with some kind of manacles on it and a small tray of knives and tools. Against one wall there's a rack of varying substances. And back in another corner are several bookcases full of ancient looking tomes.

"No sign of any practiced magi using this place. No bounded fields, no familiars, no surveillance spells. Nothing." Caster mumbled.

2. Check out the books, figure out if there is any common theme. Grab any that seem particularly useful.

3. Have Caster set up a basic bounded field that will let us know if anyone comes or goes. This might make a decent back-up base in the future since Tomoko obviously has an affinity for the place, so we want to know if anyone but us comes snooping around.

Now, time for OUT OF CONTROL PARANOIA TIME!

Remember Fate/Zero Caster and his Cthuloid horrors? I think this place is connected to that same branch of magic in some way. Tomoko probably is as well, but whether thats just a symptom of her Element/Origin combo or something more sinister is unclear. Either way, we should be wary of this place, lest we awaken that which should remain asleep.
>>
>>25311932
The mysteries compound themselves. Let's check them books. Tomoko isn't a magus, tomes of occult and esoteric lore would be unreadable to her but to us they would contain a wealth of mystic knowledge. Like when Rin opened one of daddy's books. I bet nothing would have happened to a normal person. But as she had just enough knowledge (and quite a few magic circuits) to be dangerous, it tried to grab her and fuck her shit up.

Magic is a little known fact in the nasuverse for a reason gents. The average man happens upon the mystic with no consequence. Only external factors, a magus lineage, or a unique origin gets you into the dark underbelly of that reality, for better (Shirou) or worse (Lio).
>>
>>25311932
Examine the tomes, try to get a general idea of what this place was used for. Have Caster examine the goop. Have Assassin check the table and see what the tools were used for if she hasn't on her previous trips down here.

Keep Sayaka up above guarding the entrance, Meguca Caster stays with Caster to keep watch, Tomoko stays down here with us and Assassin as an extra set of eyes.

After getting an idea of what the hell this place was used for Tomoko can guide us through the area to explore it, and just to be safe, bring a caster for this to disarm traps on the off chance there might be one hiding somewhere. This will probably be saved for the next vote though.

No reason why each person can't do their own thing.

There's a Dead Apostle sleeping here. Tomoko's Origin of blood makes her feel at home around them, and if her origin doesn't make her hunted by said DA, she will eventually turn her into a DA as becoming one is the only logical conclusion for someone with an origin of blood.
>>25312137
Whoops, forgot my name.
>>
>>25312213
A Dead Apostle master would be beyond broken. They are hard enough to kill as is. People like Nero Chaos have a good chance of taking one out all by themselves. Few Servants could survive getting caught in "Soil of Genesis". It just wouldn't be fair. But then, everything was labeled as possible once we cold summoned QB...
>>
>>25312213
DA, especially strong ones, have to feed fairly regularly even if they're lying low and conserving energy. Based on the fact that we've seen no signs of vamp infestation in the city, and the fact that the bad juju seems to be tied to the Leyline itself, I doubt we've got one on our hands.

Also, don't forget the whole "The City Sunken Rises!" bit. I have a very hard time believing that was anything other than a red flag.
>>
You skirt the basin, the leyline's pulse emanating most strongly from it. You approach the book shelf cautiously, noting the rough leather wrappings of the books and the scratched in markings in a foreign language. "I can see why you might have had a hard time with these." You say to Tomoko.

"Yeah. Like this one, قادیم ممنوع جادو, which had some stuff that helped me with my magic, but some of it I just don't get." Tomoko grumbles, pointing out one faded leather bound book. You blink slightly, uncertain of the words that just came out of her mouth. You crack one book open uncertainly and are greeted by more of the unusual writing.

"You can understand this?" You ask her. The very appearance of it hurts to look at it, and something in the leyline reverberates when you open the book. You snap the book shut and the reverberation ends.

It's Tomoko's Reality Marble. Based in Blood and Shadow. Manifested it because she drew it from Archerko. A city of shadows sunken in blood, where all meet their darkest reflection and struggle against it. That is how we made it out of there. They may have defeated their shadows, but not without a great expenditure of time and effort.

Now she's speaking in tongues as well?

We need more info on just what the hell is up with this place and Tomoko's magic before we use it for anything.

Its obviously a Workshop, situated on a leyline no less. A Magus wouldn't just abandon something like this, and most certainly wouldn't leave a bunch of equipment behind. Which means something happened to the previous occupant.

Gonna have to agree. We all live and die based on information after all. Especially in a grail war. He who neglects intel is the first/next to die.

But don't expend a command seal. If we can't get him here without expending one we just set up a surveillance field and bug out. We do NOT want to be at 0 seals when this war ends, for we intend to have this fucker suicide if I've been reading correctly.
>>
>>25312213
Not really. We only said her origin is blood. You can be told what your origin is, it won't really matter much, it'll just explain a hell of a lot about you.

To REALLY get fucked by thine own origin you have to be truly *awakened* to it. Take Lio for example. He ate a whole human body within a few hours. An Impressive feat yes, but nothing truly impossible for him as a mere human being.

Only after Araya casted the Origin Awakening Spell (which REQUIRES the consent of the "victim") did he truly lose it and become a superhuman monster.

We have only told Tomoko what her origin is, we have not truly *awakened* it. That's a very big difference in the Nasuverse.
>>
"I think I want to get the other Caster in here to investigate things before we do anything major." You say before turning to your psuedo Caster, "For now, can you set up a surveillance field?"

"Already done, Master." She answers. She's staring at the pile of black goop distastefully, and Sayaka is standing as far away from the pool as possible.

"Then let's go." You say.

------------

Back at home, you bring the leyline up with Kyubei who expresses some concern as well, and agrees to go investigate the leyline. He immediately goes astral and leaves to do so. You spend a few tense hours waiting before he returns.

~I have found no signs of any magi having used that area in a good number of decades, however there are signs that someone has been keeping it in good condition. As well, the leyline is aspected to something distinctly inhuman. What, I am not entirely certain, but it is something as far removed from humanity as I, or perhaps further. And it has been aspected as such for an incredibly long time, perhaps even out dating the school itself.~ Caster explains.

"And suitability for a base for us?" You ask him.

~It has great potential. Tomoko seems uniquely aligned with it, and the basin is full of something akin to primordial soup, probably from a previous magus who was working with flesh or blood. Some kind of alteration magic, I would presume. Not particularly useful to you or I, but Tomoko may be able to make use of it.~ Caster explained.

It would be a shame to neglect it, but giving it to Tomoko is too great a risk. A Magus walks with death, and thats probably more true in her case than most. We don't want her accidentally mucking something up and getting eaten by a cosmic horror.
>>

Yup, that sounds like Great Old Ones to my ears. Maybe even Outer Gods if we're particularly unlucky.

Lets have someone expendable manning what may or may not be a shrine/portal for cosmic horrors from beyond space and time.

Sorry Tomoko, but horrible summoning accidents are probably fairly high on the list of "most frequent cause of death in inexperienced Magi". Lets not have you messing around with that junk in the middle of a grail war.

Ah, an accidental summoning might not be so bad. Outer Gods are fairly pleasant to be around in my experience.
>>
>>25313119
Well that would explain why it's been abandoned. After all, if a Sealing Designate does get nailed by The Church or the Executioners of the Clock Tower they're pretty much deader than disco. Thus, their workshop would be well and fully abandoned after such an incident.

Unless they managed to land an apprentice in-between the time they got the designation and when it finally caught up to them of course. It's been kept in good shape after all, that in itself is quite suspicious. The master may have died, but his dark apprentice may well be roaming the streets. Not good, especially if he has a servant like we do.
>>
"Caster, you wouldn't happen to have anyone who would be good to set up in such a place?" You ask. He seems to think for a moment before nodding.

You give Tomoko a quick text letting her know you're available for teaching her tonight if she wishes. Not even an hour later she barges into your warehouse.

"I am ready to learn your mystic ways." She says, sitting down across from you as Assassin moves to your makeshift kitchen and begins to cook some tea.

"Good. Today we're going to work on precision and efficiency. I want you to work on avoiding everyone but Assassin and focus only on mimicking her stealth abilities, okay?" You tell her. She nods, and closes her eyes, concentrating.

"تمہارے دل سے، میرے دل کے لیے، تمہاری زندگی" Tomoko mumbles under her breath. For a moment, she seems to be there and yet not. If you weren't watching her, you weren't certain you'd be able to notice her. Your eyes just naturally want to slide away from her. After a moment she releases it and grins. "I've been practicing! I can almost completely mimic Assassin-neechan's abilities all at once! Not for too long, though. At least not the last time I tried it. It was easier this time, though." She says.

"You've been practicing without me? Do you know how dangerous that is?" You ask her.

"Hey, Assassin and I were careful. I mean, after the first few times with all the blood and stuff..." Tomoko replied. You let out a sigh of frustration.

"I understand the temptation and I applaud your eagerness, but it does nobody any good if you get yourself killed. Please don't do it again." You tell her.

"Fiiine. I won't do it again unless I have some kind of supervision." Tomoko relents. You spend a while more, having her practice focusing on various people. Candeloro, Sayaka. She has some trouble with psuedo Caster, having the occasional issue with differentiating between the two souls.

Assuming he hasn't gone bonkers or done the smart thing and gotten the hell out of the city, we should offer him asylum since as far as we know there is no Overseer for this war.

He's still technically a Master, and that makes him a target. Plus we fully intend to kill the ones responsible for Monster's ill-fated betrayal, he'll probably be on board for that.

Hell, maybe we can build enough trust that we can start prepping him for soul-stealing. No reason we can't be nice while also preparing a "steal your body and use you as a meat-puppet to further our immortality" contingency plan.

"John. This is Nicolas. I was just trying to see how you were holding up since...since Monster. There's still a chance someone could try and target you as a Master, so you should be careful. "Tomoko? What are you doing here?" You ask her.

"Welll, you said not to practice magic without supervision, so I decided to come here and check in on Caster and his new servant, um...." She began before looking to the woman.

"Monster. But you can call me Dr. Jeckyll." She supplied.

I'm not against it per se, but we need to have a sit down and make it VERY clear to Coobs and Dr. Jeckyll here exactly how pissed off we will be if anything unfortunate happens to Tomoko.

"Unfortunate" would of course include things like being turned into a Magical Girl (we know what that involves, and it isn't good), suddenly developing a homicidal dark side (looking at you, Jeckyll), being turned into an inhuman monster, getting possessed by an Old One, ect. Just make sure they get the picture.

Also take Assassin aside and make sure she keeps an eye on the situation. We can trust Coobie to follow our specific instructions, but he doesn't really "get" human morality or ethics, so he needs oversight to avoid straying in to magical mad science territory.

The longer the War goes on, the less sense our alliance makes from a logical standpoint. At first it was simply mutually beneficial, but as time goes on Tomoko is only getting stronger. Thus she needs our protection less and less, while simultaneously becoming a greater threat as her powers grow.

Of course that doesn't take in to account the fact that we won't betray each other because we share a degree of genuine affection by this point, but Coobie doesn't understand human affection. "Because we like each other" will not compute as a legitimate reason in his mind, and in the context of "we want to win the Grail War", killing the chick who is rapidly developing powers capable of stealing the capabilities of Servants before she becomes too powerful makes a lot of sense.

Remember that, unless we find the Grail and alter the rules, Coobie will eventually need to kill Assassin to win and get his wish. Even if we DO cheat it up so killing her isn't necessary, he will probably assume she's lying when she says she will forfeit the Grail as long as Tomoko is safe.
>>
>>25315688
Little late to respond.

Anyway the biggest reason he won't though is that he knows how to manipulate people so he should know we have her under control. Especially if we mention how jack is willing to die and like Cube win. He has some basic idea of how humans think in the show he does manipulate people based on there feelings. He might not understand it but he knows this much at least and the stronger the girl is the more useful a ally she is. Us vs jack alone is a slaughter. So no real threat there and if a fight does break out Tomoko will freeze at fighting us. Logically there is no real reason not to keep a alliance when she gets stronger. Because it is her at her strongest that makes the alliance worth it.

>Not certain that's safe
We need to know more about this shit before we try and do anything with it. Besides she's unpracticed at magecraft.

She tries and pull something as major as the body/genetic modification she wants right now and she may end up becoming an Eldritch Abomination at best, or killing herself at worse. Nope, not risking it yet, get more info.

While I'm awake I better make a list of useful crap we should do.

1. Ask cubes if we can jam another magical girl into the leyline with minimal fuss.

2. If we can ask him to summon a diviner so we can see the future.

3. Practice UBW until we have a higher then 25 percent chance to use the bloody thing.

4. Try and jack command seals from a master. Then use the seals as a prana boost to Cubes so we can do more bullshity stuff. Be better if we burn like 3 of them just for this.

5. Ask cubes what he plans to do after his wish is granted.

6. Start working on mana generators and more familiars.

"Just...be careful, alright. While I'm certain these two know their stuff, it's still probably dangerous. And you two had best make sure nothing bad happens to her, understand?" You order, giving Kyubei and Dr. Jeckyll a stern look.

~I would not allow anything to needlessly endanger a valuable asset such as Tomoko. She and her Servant have been far too critical in several encounters to lose.~ Kyubei reassured you.

"I will do everything I can to make this as safe as possible." Dr. Jeckyll added.

"No monstrous hidden sides?" You ask.

"Well I certainly won't be giving her one. My own 'hidden' side comes from my Contract with Kyubei here, the Witch that sleeps in my Soul Gem." She replies.

"And I know enough not to trade my soul to fluffy animals for any reason!" Tomoko interjected, "I'm an adult and I know the risks, so can you please stop treating me like a child?"

"Ah, yes. Sorry, it's just..." You begin.

"It's nice that you worry and all, but I've got this covered." Tomoko assures you.

"Alright, alright." You say.

Shouldn't the Stealth Golem be in place by now?

If John has definitely cleared out and it looks like no one else is taking up residence, let's put a couple prana generators/batteries there to collect the leyline. Booby-trap them with some bombs, and we can ensure that no one takes the fruits of our labors, maybe even take out a negligent Master.
>>
Seeing that they have everything under control here, you take your leave. Back in the warehouse, you check up on your familiar. It has been hunting for John all day, and has found no sign of him. You even found his house, though it looks like he has not returned in some time. With a sigh, you have it continue its search.

With that taken care of you sit down to work on some Familiars. Candeloro hums as she begins to cook in your makeshift kitchen as you work on your little metal creations. Since you had so much success with the stealth familiar, you decide to make a more streamlined version of it. Smaller, sleeker, and with its original primitive stealth abilities. You focus on one initially and when it's done it runs around helping you.

When Candeloro finally serves you dinner, you have three small, eight inch tall familiars in the same design and style as your original familiar. They will probably be better for scouting and stealth than the original was, but the original was better all around. And now has combat applications, so it really all rounds out in the end. After dinner, you decide you ought to...

Fairly sure tiredness is just body wise. So switching bodies should make us less tired and we should practice the archer body until we can really use it with some ease.

"Thank you for dinner." You tell Candeloro after the meal. She smiles and cleans the table off as you shoot Tomoko a text asking her to send Kyubei home. After several moments he shows up.

~Yes, Master?~ He asks.

"Do you think you can find where the Grail is?" You ask him.

~Hm...Probably. It would be difficult and could take some time to pin down. The best method would be to find the Lesser Grail first, and from there I can find the Greater Grail.~ He told you.

"Excellent. We should probably work on that. If we can find it and research it, we may find a way to get an advantage on our opponents." You remark.

~Hm, this could be incredibly useful. I shall endeavor to find this Grail, then.~ Kyubei says. With that, he disappears again, leaving you alone again and with nothing to do.

Though I am worried about archers body. A reality marble is someones inner world but imprinted over reality. Which means archers mind must still be in there because we can use his inner world.
>>
You lay down on the bed next to Archer's bandaged body and quickly switch between forms with a thought and suddenly your body is burning and creaking and oh dear lord your very soul feels like it's being ripped apart from the inside out and being worn as a shade and suddenly you're back in your own body, panting heavily with Candeloro leaning over you worriedly.

"Master, are you alright?" She asked, one hand cupping your cheek gently.

"Yes...Yes, I think so, just a little startled." You say, glancing carefully at Archer's body, still comatose on the bed.

After assuring Candeloro that you were completely fine, you while away the night, trying to build another good sized generator, your familiars bringing resources to you as you go. A few hours in, Candeloro falls asleep on the bed behind you. Halfway through the night, Kyubei reappears, interrupting your progress.

~I have tracked a large amount of mana to a high quality hotel. It has a strange taint to it, reminiscent to that of a Servant, but I could not sense a Servant in the area.~ He answered your questioning gaze.

>>
"If you don't mind, could you take a look at Archer. Something is wrong every since I tried to use her Phantasm." You request. Kyubei nods and pads over to the sleeping body. For several moments he paws at it slightly, licking up some of the blood from the bandages and the like.

~It seems like you may have overextended your own abilities. The flaw is stemming from your soul's attempts to command the left over soul. The Reality Marble itself is difficult to control at best, and seems very volatile. It attempted to activate as normal when you used it, and attempted to perform its normal routines upon a manifestation attempt.~ Kyubei informed you.

"Such as?" You ask.

~It appears the Marble attempts to heal itself with the swords stored inside. In this case, you stressed your soul and the Marble, and so it attempted to stitch itself into your soul, piercing into your soul with the very concept of Swords. Hence, the pain. You have, potentially, damaged your own soul as well as the Marble.~ Kyubei explained.

"Great. As well, do you think we can support another Servant on our current lelyine?" You ask him.

~Yes, we could squeeze one more Servant into it, but it would limit both Servant's abilities.~ He explained.

"Right. For now, I need to sleep." You tell him before crawling into bed. Tomorrow, the first thing on your agenda is...

So far her training has been highly specialized. Lets branch her out a bit into more traditional spells, so she doesn't become a magical one-trick pony.

>[X] Talk to cubes about our soul for a while.
>[X]Scouting the leyline in the old school.

Is the order I'm thinking we should do things.

We want to keep our mana juices up. Also guys thinking we should see if Cubes as a diviner in his contract list. Mainly because as a magus we know future visions are possible so it would be useful to be able to get a glimpse on what each action will cause before we do it.

Before then though we should work on securing our prana supply and work on getting ourself set up more.

I think we can leave Tomoko alone for a few turns. We have more important resource issues to attend to.

Figure out how to and start fixing both souls, use kyubey judiciously to manage this
then help Tomoko set up a private workshop at that leyline, after she has all the nessesary bits and bobs, we leave her to her own experimentation and look for john, while also rumor searching and etc. for other masters
