Events Summary:You managed to trek on foot through Tarun Gakth - a journey taking you thorugh the hidden orc city, Refuge, and pitting you against rogue machines, titanic rock worms, and the hive-mind of a race known as the Vog. After a harrowingly close brush with death, you managed to make it out alive, and had an easy time making your way to Palthair.After relating to Flint and Auriel Xella's casual treatment of their lives, and admitting that she cannot be trusted, you worked with them to banish her. You were successful, but something else possessed Xella's fading corpse - something that identified itself as Legion. At first, it mistook you as Erebus, but then changed its mind, claiming you just a shard of a shadow. While it was powerful, you managed to subdue and consume the horror - but an echoing voice threatened you with the fact that it was far from truly dead.The battle destroyed the tavern you staying in, but everyone escaped unharmed. You were quickly surrounded by the city folk, who you learned were enslaved by the lich, Magnock - your battle against Legion drew his attention. Adavan and Abigail were captured by the lich, whom Auriel recognized as an old foe.You defeated and subsumed another Shadow, named Darkxis, who was working with Magnock, and gained a second Shard of True Darkness. Auriel protected the party with some sort of Light-based barrier, but Magnock teleported them into his lair to work on cracking it open - after finishing the job of 'breaking' Adavan. However, thanks to your adopted disguise, he believes you are Darkxis - leaving you isolated, but holding the element of surprise.

A winding maze of platforms and mine tracks crisscrosses the floor, connecting together all the mine shafts. Mine trains are being hauled by men and women and beasts of burden, bringing loads of raw ore up from one of the many tunnels. That is then sorted for what you think, at a glance, is purity, by a large troop of mostly women and children. The sorted ores are then carted off en masse further down a prominent tunnel, out of which a smaller, but steady stream of people leads. Holes in the ceiling far overhead look like intentionally-cut air shafts for ventilation.It's an impressive operation, one that shows decades of effort and careful construction. I think we have to take this guy down before worrying about this new thing, since on the off-chance this huge spirit presence is evil (hopefully it's not Legion coming back for round 2), we would much rather have Adavan, Auriel, Flint and Obis out of lockdown for the fight.
