LAST TIME ON GUNDAM AGE QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/25177239/

Follow my Twitter account for updates and reschedules: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

Your name is Dirk Crocker and yesterday you stopped Zeheart, who is most definitely a Vagan spy from being shot by Zeheart. Akito ended up with a dislocated arm and a knife through the right hand but after breaking his own sister Yurika’s nose, he deserved it. You flash banged Zeheart and Asemu shot him in the knee caps. Woolf showed up and picked everyone up, bring them back to the Zarth Colony Defense Force HQ where Yurika, Akito and Zeheart are currently in cells being treated by medics. The red suit is sitting inside the hanger and you just finished explaining everything that happened.

“Wiretapping? Really Dirk? Meh, who am I kidding your Dad’s done worse than that. He once fooled me into swallowing a mini camera to see if I ate his candybar stash…” Woolf laughs and lets out a relieved sigh. “You did a good job Dirk and I’ll make sure you’re not punished. I’m going to talk things over with the commander here. Feel free to look around, just try not to do anything crazy…”

Woolf leaves you and Asemu alone to your own devices. You have free rein on where you can go in the HQ, what do you want to do Dirk?
>>
>>25199763
Call Jake, tell him about what happened. And call Scarlet, see if she can get us our homework and bikes.
I guess we should check out on Yurika and the rest of them.
>>
>>25199763
>yesterday you stopped Zeheart, who is most definitely a Vagan spy from being shot by Zeheart
Wait, wat?

He tried suicide last thread?
>>
>>25199871
Sounds good to me. We should also see if we can get the Zeydra transferred over to either Madorna Workshops or our own house for dismantlement and analysis. Leaving aside the tech we can get from it, I'm not sure I want a mobile suit that Zeheart can remote control with his thoughts to remain intact. Plus, it would be delightfully spiteful. "You betray our friendship? Well good luck putting your mobile suit back together, jackass!"
>>
>>25199954
It's a typo. Akito nearly shot him.
>>
>>25199981
Eventually, we should tell Scarlet what Akito almost did.. so that we may prep up the bright slap.
>>
>>25199967
Oh, yes.
"You'll get your suit back, promise. Here's a bolt from it, you'll get another once you apologize."

I guess Jake's going to come around with the Camelot to pick the Zeydra up so that he can properly analyze it.
Which means that the Gen-1 cast is going to arrive to the scene soon. I can't wait for the Desil - Zeheart showdown.
And Flit slapping Akito for being such a jerk.

Brainstorming time:

We know that Ezelcant wants to create a Social Darwinist utopia on Earth by destroying the colonies - both those under control by the Feds and even Vagan colonies, and that he wants the survivors to be exposed to extreme conditions and trials so that they can evolve into "better" human beings.

What if he deliberately sabotaged Vagan colonies? We know that the people there live in poverty and sickness, but they do have resources for an all-out war. What if he prevents the creation of a medicine for that sickness of theirs, and the creation of solid protection against the radiation, simply so he can kill the weaker ones faster?
>>
>>25200410
I thought that was explicitly stated to be the case? Maybe I'm misremembering that episode. Either way, it makes sense. The radiation flux around Mars isn't THAT high compared to that which Earth Sphere colonies would have to face. Average dosage is 22 milirads per day, only 2.5 times that which an earth-orbiting colony would face. Solar flares would increase that, yes, but it should be possible to solve with enough mass serving as a shadow shield. Especially if you throw in Vagan EM Armor tech to help deflect charged particles. Compared to the resources needed to wage war across interplanetary distances, stronger radiation shielding should be relatively easy to produce. Probably the only reason it hasn't been done yet is Ezelcant's cult of personality and the fear of dissenters being killed by his secret police.
>>
>>25199763
say aloud "making someone swallow a mini camera to see if he ate his candybar stash? I'd be surprised but then there was the pool incident... so Asemu, wanna take zeheart's MS apart and give him a bolt every time he does something nice?"
>>
>>25200534
All their research is focused on waging the war against the Earth Sphere, and they only have some medicine that slows down the sickness, but is too expensive for anyone not being royalty to buy. Also, we know that their medicine is highly advanced, considering how he's been alive for about a 100 years, how they're capable of creating those X-Rounder helmets, and creating clones.

So a cure, or at least electromagnetic shielding across the colonies, should have been already made during all these years. Or, hell, even mass bioengineering could work and be less expensive than an all-out interplanetary war.

Ezelcant deliberately sabotaged his own people. He could've made the cure, but he decided to fuck everyone over, create his own army of beast-men and wage war for the "evolution" of mankind.
>>
>>25200691
Oh, I'm not arguing, friend. I totally agree. It's why Ezelcant's reveal, as hamfisted as it was, was one of my favorite parts of Kio's arc. Because there was finally an explanation for why the Vagans' actions didn't make any sense, even if the explanation itself didn't make much sense. But crazy people trying to force the evolution of mankind through genocide is a long-standing Gundam tradition, so I was willing to give it a pass.

And what was with the cloning, anyway? Did they have any except for Zera Gins? That concept just came out of nowhere in the last few episodes. Then again, so much did, so why am I singling that out?
>>
>>25200820
Probably because if they cloned more than the big bad, it would be like that final fight where you have to copies of various bosses you faced. A concept too amazing for the original Age.
>>
>>25200820
I know you weren't arguing. I'm sorry if my post implied that, that was never my intention.

As for the cloning part, yeah, it really came out of nowhere. Maybe the Vagans didn't have the necessary tech to implement it properly earlier? Is the process to expensive? I doubt that Zera Gins was rapidly aged - meaning that he was around for at least 15 years, if not more. And it fits perfectly with Ezelcant's ego to have his successor be his own clone. After all, who is the self-declared messiah?

Maybe the tech for creating clones was hidden away on the EXA-DB. I wouldn't be surprised, considering every tech ever discovered was stored there. Who knows what else is there, and what else Ezelcant had access to, but focused instead on waging war and creating the ubermensch.

You decide to call Dad and update him, but he's unavailable, which means only two things. He's fighting or he's fighting while eating lunch. You decide to call back later and instead call Scarlet and ask for you to pick up your homework and your bikes.

"What happened?" She asks expectantly.

"Zehearts a Vagan spy, had to stop Akito from shooting him. It's a mess and it'll be easier to explain when you get here." You say with a sigh.

"Anyone dead?"

"No, saved them all." You say with a smile.

"Alright. I'll come over when I get out of school, should be another hour. You'll be OK till then?"

"Yeah, yeah"

you hang up the phone and decide to have some fun.

>>25200250
>>25200281
You go to the R&D department, which is the local Federation Test Team who is set up in the hanger bay.

They're already looking over the Red Suit, the cockpit has been removed and they're working on dismantling the rest of it.

They have a very strange looking suit in the corner, obviously an experimental prototype. You've heard rumors about a transformable mobile suit but this is your first time seeing it.

The Test Team members seem pretty friendly, they'd likely be willing to work with you or answer any questions you'd have.

What will you do Jake?

(BRB, running to the store)
>>
>>25201114
Why do I get the feeling everybody around here knows us? Ah, yeah, we're Jake's son.
Do we know the chief engineer? Maybe he'll tell us something about this new prototype.
>>
>>25201114
They're already starting on the Clanche? I suppose that with reverse-engineering of the Gafran, Zedas and Black Raven, transformable suits should be easier for us to make. So does that mean the AGE-2 is complete, and the reason Akito doesn't have it is because Flit knows his son is too big a douche to be trusted with it? Hopefully it'll go to Yurika when we get to that part of the arc.

Anyway, let's ask about the Vagan suit. The Test Team have any idea how Zeheart controlled it with his mind? Because that was impressive.
>>
>>25201227
Maybe Flit's keeping the AGE-2?
Jake's probably been working on the Crusader Mk II for himself, maybe Flit wants to get back out there as well?
>>
>>25201114

poke around the Prototype. Maybe we could pick up some upgrade ideas for the Merlin.

A Fire-support mode could come in handy, two MS sized weapons in normal mode, a MA sized weapon in the fire support mode... Magic Mode sounds slightly silly...
>>
>>25201341
So, Dirk will insist on calling it "Fire Support Mode", and Scarlet'll call it "Magic Mode" anyway just to fuck with him?
>>
>>25201114
...You morons, get Scarlet to scrub off any records or software pertaining to the bugs!

We'll get scrreeeeewed if Leviathan tracks the bugs to us.
>>
>>25201227
Well, for all we know, Flit is saving his new suit for his third child. The one he never sees, talked to, or paid attention to. A belated birthday gift
>>
>>25201506
"You're a wizard, Dirk."
"Scarlet, I swear to God, do that joke one more time and I'm uploading all those videos of you in a puffy princess outfit to SpaceTube."

>>25201517
Oh, fuck, you're right. If Akito managed to track us down, who's to say Leviathan didn't?
Send Scarlet a message telling her how to disable the bugs, and how to remove the records of us using it.
>>
>>25201517
>>25201570
You quickly call up Scarlet and tell her to wipe all the tapping/bugging hardware off your computer, don't want to get traced by Leviathan. She say's she'll head straight home and do it.

>>25201215
You decide to talk to the cheif engineer about the Prototype.

"The Proto-Clanche? We made it using the data from the various U.E mobile suits your father collected along with the Black Raven data and some structural data from that new suit Flit was making for Akito." The chief engineer explains. "It's a high speed transformable mobile suit being developed alongside the Genoace III. They probably won't be in service until after the RGE-G1100 Adele gets distributed and further developed, but it'll give us a fighting chance against the U.E.'s newer mobile suits."

Any other questions Dirk?
>>
>>25201114
Let's help analyze that Vagan MS. Ask a few questions about the prototype in the corner. These guys likely know us already, so don't be shy about jacking any info available. Dirk is Jake's son. It's almost tradition to steal or trade for any new tech around.
>>
>>25202184
Hrm? Is there a way we could convince you to share the data on it and the new high speed suit? I'm sure dad would love to see what he can do with these, and we'll happily give you any test and preformance data the age builder poops out.
>>
>>25202184

Inquire about any advances in MS weaponry. The standard DDOS rifles don't seem to work well against the new Vagen suits...
>>
>>25202184
"It's beautiful. You don't have any blueprints or schematics for parts I could borrow for that Gundam I was making? I'd share the test data with you, of course. That transformation function looks impressive. Are there multiple modes of transformation - like an attack jet, a tank mode or something?"

"As for the new UE suits. First of all, that new suit? It's capable of being remotely controlled by the X-Rounder's abilities. Second, they've upped the demo charges, so that the suit blows up immediately upon getting shot. And finally, standard DODS rifles don't seem to be quite as effective against the new armor they've employed. Is there a way to up the damage output of the rifle? Add some more spin or something?"
>>
>>25202184
So, any word on if dad managed to get that DODS Finger to work?
>>
>>25202264
"We're just working on the suit, not the handheld weapons. This Proto-Clanche has a set of rapid fire DODS Beam Cannons, but that's nothing special" The chief engineer explains with a shrug.

>>25202232
"Is there a way I could convince you to share the data on that suit Flit was working on and the new high speed suit? I'm sure dad would love to see what he can do with these and we'd be happy to share the data..." You ask, with a pleading with the engineer.

"Well....You are Jake's son and he's practically Flit's brother so...sure, but I expect to get something in return later one" He extracts the data off his laptop and gives it to you in a data drive.

>>25202204
"How far have you gotten on the analysis of that Vagan suit?" You ask, looking over to the red suit.

"Well we know about the recent changes, enhanced demo charges, stronger Anti-DODS Armor and mass produced EM Armor. However this one is mass produced X-Rounder use mobile suit, we're still looking it over." The Engineer explains.

"...Mass Produced?" You ask.

"Oh definitely. This one appears heavily customized, but the base parts are absolutely mass produced, it's likely this model has been around for a while" The engineer explains.

Your reaction Dirk?
>>
>>25202764
"So there's enough X-rounders now that there's a demand for mass-produced suits specifically for them?"
>>
>>25202764
"Where do those guys keep on finding so many god damn X-Rounders? I mean seriously, they're turning X-Rounders into mooks with mass produced suits.

I know they can throw science at it to enhance it or maybe at this point simulate it with implants, but wouldn't it be prohibitively difficult to find every X-Rounder candidate and perform delicate surgery?"
>>
>>25202764
"Mass-produced X-Rounder suits? Shit. Let's get everything we can on the Psycommu systems then. I'm working on an anti-X-Rounder system, but I need more data on the hardware and software the Vagan use."
>>
>>25202867
>Psycommu

Do we even know what that is IC?
>>
>>25202764
"Mass produced X-Rounder suits. Fuck."
"That means that they have much, much more X-Rounders than us. So, they either mass produce them, or they enhance normal troops with implants or something."
"We need to tell Jake and Flit about this. If they attack us with an army of psychic maniacs, we're dead. We need that Anti X-Rounder tech as soon as possible."
>>
>>25202893
you know that this is Zeta's in Disguise...

"The fact that they are Mass Producing X-Rounder specific suits is... concerning to say the least... Are there any Anti-X-Rounder Suits in the EFF yet?"
>>
>>25202893
Dirk should know. Psycommu systems are one of Jake's main areas of study. Jake even developed an artificial pyscommu system called X-COM.
>>
>>25202867
>>25203113
(Psycommu is UC Kijin. X-Rounder weapons utilize X-Wave receivers and transmitters)

>>25202835
>>25202848
"So there are enough X-Rounders for them to demand their own mobile suits? Shit, this is very bad." You mutter.

"We only have a single squad of X-Rounders at this point, there's a push to find more but it's not easy." The engineer shakes his head.

"Could I have some of the X-Wave Receiver data? Me and Dad have been trying to work on developing an Anti-X-Rounder System for a while now"

"Sure, just help me finish examining this suit" He asks.

You manage to get the analysis done in twenty minutes after nearly setting off the self-destruct charges. Overall tests show the suit has an insane reaction time and some very powerful beam weapons, the external rifle seems to an attempt to emulate the DODS Rifle, it also appears to be able to emit a beam saber blade. This is the first handheld Vagan weapon you've ever seen, it definitely shows that there also learning from Federation designs.

"Thanks for the help, here's the data on the suit kiddo. Say hi to your Dad when you get the chance"

Now what would you like to do Dirk? It's only been 25 minutes or so.
>>
>>25203527

Time to check on Yurika. Having two people she cares for injured in-front of her is not a pleasant experience, neither is being backhanded by her brother...
>>
>>25203527
Check on Yurika. After the shit that just happened to her, she could use a friendly face.
>>
>>25203613
Do this. Also, maybe we can check up on Akito and Zeheart if there's time.
>>
>>25203527
"Will do. I run into anything interesting I'll send it to you. I might actually toss you the design for Merlin and Gawain, see if I made any big fuckups with them and let you crib stuff from them. Sharing is caring and all that."

Then go visit Yurika.

"No problem. If I run into something interesting I'll be sure to send it over."

You wave the Test Team goodbye, promising to send them goodies later on before heading to the cell-block to visit Yurika. You realize that everything that's happened to her must have been immensely stressful, she really needs some cheering up from your guess.

Entering the cellblock, you ask the guards to be allowed inside Yurika's cell and they agree. You find her lying down on her bed, a few bandages dotting her face and lots of tape over her broken nose, keeping it in place to heal.

She appears to be sleeping, anyone would be tired after he affair. Still you should have a word with her.

What do you wish to do Dirk? Talk with Yurika? What do you want to say? Or would you rather leave her alone?
>>
>>25204191
Hold her hand for a while and let her rest.
>>
>>25204191
Let her sleep but let's sit next to her, whisper to her abit and pet her hand.
>>
>>25204256
>>25204279
We're not really at that stage yet. Besides, doesn't she fancy Zeheart? Dirk isn't even the type to pursue a relationship (until some character development takes place).
>>
>>25204191
Sit down on the bed next to her, hold her hand, start talking to her softly to slowly wake her up. Be gentle about it. Not romantic, but friendly hand holding, she just had a rough day and we've known her for ages.

Once she's up we can actually talk to her.

"Hey there Yurika. You doing alright?"
>>
>>25204297
Well, it's not supposed to be romantic, just a sign that a friend is there for her. Agreed on Dirk not being ready for such a step, though.
Her brother's a dick, her father's always busy and Yurin is probably on her way over here, she could use somebody to be near her.

As for Zeheart, after today, I doubt that she'll fancy him.
>>
>>25204392
>As for Zeheart, after today, I doubt that she'll fancy him.
Clearly you don't understand how women think. Zeheart is now the mysterious brooding double-agent, and that's sexy.
>>
>>25204428
Zeheart is genocidal and likely to end up in Grodek's hands if Jake doesn't do something, and that's fatal.
>>
>>25204428
Oh, God, you're right. She's the most curious creature we know, she's probably going to like him even more now.
Throw in some romantic idiocy like "love can change him" from the Asuno airhead and we're set for some drama.
>>
>>25204504

Then it is our duty TO change him, as it the Crocker way...
>>
>>25204256
>>25204279
>>25204318
>>25204392
You sit down beside Yurika and hold her hand, petting her head until she wakes up after half an hour or so.

"Dirk?" She asks, rubbing her eyes.

"Hey there Yurika? You feeling better?"

"Yeah. Thank you for saving Zeheart. I know he's a spy but...he's still my friend and I don't want him to get hurt or killed." Yurika says apologetically.

"Me, Scarlet and Dad don't kill unless we need too, or if there colossal assholes who deserve it. Zeheart isn't right in the head, but maybe me and Asemu can snap him to his senses." You pat Yurika on the shoulder.

"Thank you Dirk. Just be careful of my brother and Leviathan...they're very extreme. They want to protect the Earth Sphere by any means possible, so they won't hesitate to kill anyone who gets in their way..."

"Will you be OK?" You ask.

"My brother may be cruel at times...but he still loves me. He won't turn them on me. You and Asemu on the other-hand...just make sure you keep yourselves safe"

"I think if Scarlet's around, I'll have to worry about keeping THEM safe." You say with a laugh.

Visiting Akito and Zeheart would be a good idea. Do you want to ask Yurika anything else? Anything else to talk to her about?
>>
>>25204781
Some basic info of what Leviathan has then do. Honestly, with the way Grodek slaughtered three ships, I have this very bad feeling he's been getting worse and worse. Probably wise to check up on Zeheart.
>>
>>25204781
Ask if she can tell us anything else about Leviathan.
>>
>>25204781
Ask Yurika about the basics of Leviathan. What do they do? Why do they do it? How are they equipped? Does she know who supports them in the mainstream military? Funding doesn't come from nowhere. If we can find out where their equipment and funding comes from, that could be damn useful.
>>
>>25204781
Ask more about Leviathan.

Also "Your brother is a complete ass and someone should smack him upside the head a few dozen times, beat some sense into him. I mean seriously, he hit you and is certifiably insane by every metric available. And not even the fun type of insane, the crazy, dangerous, wild dog type of insane."
>>
>>25204923
> And not even the fun type of insane, the crazy, dangerous, wild dog type of insane."
I think you're overreacting.
>>
>>25204942
Not really. If he doesn't get an SDF-1 sized Bright Slap in the near future Dirk, Scarlet, and Asemu will likely have to put Akito down like a rabid dog. That kid just ain't right.
>>
>>25204923
woah, easy on the 'your brother is crazy nutso' bit. Crazy or not, he's her twin brother. She is going to be loyal to him. Best we can do is either help her bro out, or protect her if shit goes down. She is probably going to be the only means to keep Akito from going full blown Lawful Stupid on us until we get through that thick head of his.
>>
>>25204988
No, really, you're overreacting. Just because he COULD become a crazy villain due to being a zealous asshole, doesn't mean he is right now.
>>
>>25204992
>>25204923

No need to throw the rabid dog in her face right now. Plenty of time do bitch about Akito being a bitch later.

>>25205051
Hence why he needs a Bright Slap in the near future. I see what you mean, but I can see how this can turn ugly very quickly if someone doesn't smack some sense into Akito in a hurry. Boy's already acting rather unstable.
>>
>>25204781
"Yurika...
God damn it, why can't you see that your brother is a dick. Seriously, you have to be the nicest and most forgiving person I know.

Listen, I don't want to see you hurt. Hell, I don't want to see Akito hurt, even though he's a giant dick.
You need to promise me something. If he ever does something like this again, you'll call me, okay? If anything happens, or you just want to talk with someone, call me.
Call me, and I'll be there. And you bet I'll do everything I can to help you and keep you safe.

...oh God damn it I'm really turning into Jake.

Anyway. Now, I need you to tell me everything you know about Leviathan. Every little bit can help me."
>>
>>25205051
Indeed. Right now he's trying to prove himself to his father he's just as good as him. Grodek seems like the sort who is VERY GOOD at head games. Hell, I bet that's why he's been acting like this. Grodek has been feeding his ego, telling him stories of his father's greatness under his command, and how he helped him reach greatness and can do the same for Akito. If we want to help the kid, we are going to have to give him the slap, help him get over his daddy complex, and a better reason to do things.
>>
>>25205144
Grodek turned canon Flit into a genocidal maniac. He is very, very good at playing head games. Who knows what he's been feeding Flit's son.
As for Akito, we need to help the bastard. He's an insecure wreck who wants to impress his always absent father and become his own man.
A bright slap here and there, some friendly support, and a good reason for fighting is what the kid needs.
>>
>>25205144
>>25205184
Need to get Akito and Yurika away from Leviathan. Half of Akito's issues are probably caused by or made worse by Grodek. If we really want to help Akito, we need to get him away from the genocidal madmen, and (temporarily) out of the battlefield. God knows what kind of shit Grodek or his backers have been stuffing into Akito's head.

If we can't get them out of Leviathan, I'm not sure how to help Akito without some sort of drastic measures. Hell, drastic measures might already be necessary, considering how paranoid and murderous Akito is at the moment. He'll likely push to get back to Leviathan, too. It's familiar to him and the people there are likely to hold the same opinions as him. Akito is not going to like anything Dirk says to him right now.
>>
>>25205184
Yeah. I think our main focus should be taking care of Grodek instead of Akito. For all we know, Grodek WANTS us to kill Akito so Flit hardens up and Yurika goes mad so he can stuff her into a Psycho Gundam while also sabotaging the Crockers to keep the fight going strong.

>>

Yeah, reforming him is going to be a bitch.
Maybe if he realizes that they're using him? That they don't care about his personal accomplishments but just want to get Flit out of the picture?
And then Grodek drops the bomb that Asemu is his half-brother and everything goes to shit. Or he already did and this is the fallout.
>>
>>25204892
"Yurika what do you know about Leviathan. What do they do? Why do they do it? How are they equipped? Do you know who supports them in the mainstream military?"

"I'm sorry but I don't know all that much about them. I know they are well equipped and they get priority funding over the regular military. They head Anti-Vagan operations, leading the assault while the regular military heads the defense. They deal with espionage and security. I don't know any other details, I'm sorry..."

You decide to see Akito next to talk with him about his many, many, many issues. Entering his cell you find he's lying in bed, his arm poped back into place and his hand heavily bandage.

"What the fuck do you want?" He asks sternly.

Well Dirk?
>>
>>25205424
Why did you slap your sister? Do you care about about your family at all?

...what? Grodek's more the type to drop the Vagan's colonies into the sun. He doesn't want to keep the war going. He wants the Vagan completely exterminated.

>>25205424
"What the Hell, Akito? I get not liking the Vagan, but you've got to be a little more rational about it. What would do more in the war against the Vagan: killing a spy or grabbing him for interrogation? If you hate the Vagan, that's your business. Just TRY to be calmer about it! You endangered Yurika and amost let Zeheart escape because you were being a bitch instead of a man."
>>
>>25205424

"Look. Right now, there's nothing stopping me from twisting that recovering arm of yours besides my own good conscience. I came to talk, but if you want, I could be easily convinced to just beat the hell out of you. Now then. I don't like you, and you don't like me. That much is apparent. Except what I don't understand is why you always seem to think you're a fucking big-shot with the authority to treat everyone else like dirt. Nevermind your affiliation with Leviathan. We'll get to that later. Akito, what the fuck is your problem??"
>>
>>25205424
Pull up a chair.
"You remember 8 years ago when I saved your ass from drowning? Or that time we won that stupid bike race? Or when we were kids and we played back home on Minsry?"
"It's me, goddamn it. Dirk. Your bro. I'm worried about you. What the fuck happened, man? Why did you turn out into a douche instead of being the coolest motherfucker ever?"
>>
>>25205424
I think we need to keep this as calm as possible. No over reactions or the like. He's tired and wounded and if we need over the top talking, we get Scarlet to do it.. or Jake himself. No, right now, we are his friend, we are concerned with the way he's acting and if Jake has told him about the war, chances are Grodek is likely someone who was not painted in the nicest light. Like it or not, he's need friends the most right now.
>>
>>25205502
He'd want to keep the fight going if the alternative is peace between the Vagans and Earth. He probably hates them more than Gen 3 Flit and he'd probably be more willing to throw people in the grinder to do so.
>>
>>25205424
Keep our voice calm and level.

"Akito, what is wrong with you? Seriously, I'm curious at this point. You're constantly an arrogant douchecanoe, you don't seem to give a damn about anyone else, you never admit when you're wrong, and you hit your sister. Your sister, pretty much the closest humanity can get to concentrated kindness. Why are you doing this man?

Why are you always so mad at everything? Everything, yourself, me, Scarlet, your sister, your family, the Vagan. Seriously, why the hell are you so angry?

You aren't helping anyone with your random fucking rage, because you have no control over yourself you nearly let Zeheart escape and you weren't even going to capture him for information."
>>
>>25205511
Agreed. We're his old friend, I guess showing him some kindness wouldn't hurt.
>>
>>25205424

"A high-spec computer, some new games, a new reactor for my suit...."
pose stoically
"Oh, and to ask; THE HELL MAN!? You were going to kill Zeheart! You purposefully injured YOUR OWN SISTER! For what!? Trying to talk down Zeheart from being a Spy? If someone from your class was providing information to the Vagen would you kill her? What about your Mother? Or your Sister? How about your Father? What about Grodek!?"
take a few moments to collect ourself
"Just because someone works for the enemy, does not inherently mean that we must kill them. Look at Desil. He IS Vagen, though Dad talked him down, set him up in a new home and he is now helping the Federation fight the Vagen."
"Even if he couldn't change his allegiance, he could still provide useful intelligence... What if he had set up a bomb somewhere in the colony? Would you have still killed him? Would you sentence EVERYONE to death, Just because he worked for the Vagen!?"
"We are better than them. Sinking to their level only proves that they were right. If they are fighting because of the conditions of their colonies, why not devote funds to researching how to improve those conditions, on a more peaceful solution? Sure it will not stop all the fighting, But it should cause most of their forces to loose their reason to fight..."
"Call me sentimental, call me nieve, but I would like to think that we can settle this conflict without having to lower ourselves to meaningless fighting and inhumane practices...
>>
>>25205424
Adopt the "Friend, I am disappoint" look.

"Look, I'm your buddy, not your enemy. Can you just... cool your jets for a minute?

I just want to know why you slapped Yurika.

I'd also like to get why you pointed a gun at Zeheart's head instead of just shooting his legs and sending him to the prison hospital. A Vagan that talks is worth more than a dead Vagan."
>>
>>25205614
Too whiteknighty for Vagans. No.
>>
>>25205507
Add to this:
"Why the fuck are you so angry all the time? You're angry at yourself, your family, me, my sister, everybody."
"Come on man, for fuck's sake, speak to me. We're alone here, no need to put up this tough front."

>>25205614
Nah. Dirk is not the passionate type.
>>
>>25205424
"Hello to you too. look dude we need to talk your sister is worried about you, your mom is worried about you, and I'm worried about you, what's been going on with you lately you've irritable, hostile, and have treated every thing that moves and some things that can't as an enemy. care to explain this to me just so I can try to understand?"

You pull up a chair and sit down looking at Akito with a disappointed face. "You remember 8 years ago when I saved your ass from drowning? Or that time we won that stupid bike race? Or when we were kids and we played back home on Minsry? It's me, goddamn it. Dirk. Your bro. I'm worried about you. What the fuck happened, man? Why did you turn out into a douche instead of being the coolest motherfucker ever? How the fuck can you justify slapping your sister and nearly shooting Asemu in the head!"

"...I grew up Dirk" Akito says with a sigh. "I know your Dad doesn't talk to you a lot about the war but...we're losing. Badly. We've lost so many colonies, millions of people have been killed. We're losing ground everyday, soon the Vagan's will be able to attack Big Ring and after that, they'll attack Earth!" Akito's fists clench. "I refuse to let those monsters hurt anyone else! I refuse to let them hunt my family, my friends, or even touch the ground of Earth! I'm sorry if I hurt Yurika, I love her and I love you guys like my family. But I refuse to show any sympathy when it comes to the Vagas. I don't care what it takes, as long as the Vagan are destroyed and the people of the Earth Sphere are safe...then I don't care what I have to do..."

Well Dirk? What do you think of all this
>>
>>25205809
Careful of how you fight the Vagans, or you'll end up as something worse than them.
>>
>>25205809
"You sure don't seem to act like you care for any of us, man. You've been an enormous dick."

"I get that you're trying to act strong, but this isn't the way to do it. You hit Yurika, for God's sake. Is that how you want to protect her?"
"And I get that you can't forgive the Vagan for all the deaths, and that you're afraid and all that. But doing all this is not the way to protect anybody. And you know it."
"Hell, if we stoop down to their level, we're not any better than they are."

"And if the Vagans come here? If they decide to try to hurt the people we care about? They'll have to go through all of us first. Me, you, Jake, Flit, everyone."
"Because we're bros. We're a family. And a family sticks together."

"Let them come. We'll be ready. We'll be standing our ground and not let anyone hurt the people we care about."
"Just who the hell do they think we are?"
>>
>>25205809
"You didn't grow up Akito, you turned into an asshole, not a man. Look at yourself, really look. You took all of your kindness, all of the things that we admired you for, and threw it out the window.

You treat everyone around with either casual disdain or hatred, do you have any idea how much everyone wants to smack you upside the head until you stop being a dick?

Yes, stopping the Vagan is important, but what's the point of doing it if we just lead to more conflict? If by doing so we just create more people just like them. If we just put people in charge who act exactly fucking like them?

I know you're working with Grodek, and he's not a good person by any stretch of the imagination. He's willing to kill innocents, millions and millions of innocents to hurt the Vagan. He doesn't care about you, let me guess, has he been telling you about how much of a hero Flit was?"
>>
>>25205809
"Even if it costs the people you love? Look. I know you want to protect those you care about, but letting your emotions run wild like that will harm your friends more than your enemies. What if we weren't there? Zeheart could have escaped and he could have done a lot worse than that. Would you be OK with that? I know you want to help everyone and stop the Vagans, but we're your friends Akito. At the very least you shouldn't abandon us like this. We want to help you, so let us help."
>>
>>25205809
"Akito, you're going down a dark road. I can understand why you're doing things the way you've been doing them. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I understand.

"Do you know Uncle Desil? He was a Vagan soldier, once. He was seven years old, made to fight in a war he knew little to nothing about. He was raised from birth to be nothing more than a living weapon. Had Dad not managed to talk some sense into him, he'd probably be the kind of monster you'd be justified for fighting against.

"But he's not.

"Vagan, Federation, or whatever, they're all human beings. They're fighting for a cause they believe in, just like we are. They have family, friends, and loved ones they'd do anything to keep safe.

"Just remember that the next time you decide to point a beam rifle at a Dorado's head and pull the trigger."
>>
>>25205809
"Yay because genocide worked so well for the feds back when they tried to kill all the mars colonists and in doing so created the Vagan in the first place."
>>
>>25205809
"You know who you remind me of right now, Uncle Desil.

Take a kid with some natural talent, convince them to utterly hate the enemy, throw them in a Mobile Suit, and watch the fireworks. That's what's happening to you right now. That's what Leviathan and Grodek are doing to you. Do you even realize that they're just as human as we are?"
>>
>>25205809
"Even if you throw away your family? Your humanity? Some lines can be crossed if the need is big enough. Some lines should never be crossed, lest we become worse than the Vagan or old Federation. We can win without crossing those lines. Just let us help you. A burden that breaks one man's back is easy to handle on the backs of many. You don't need to carry that weight alone. Do you really think we'll turn our backs on you for doing what you think is right? Who the Hell do you think we are!?

Time do dig out the old 'in case of potential extinction' design folder. I've got some nasty tricks the Vagan will never see coming."
>>
>>25205809
"Okay. Your motivations are good, I guess. But you're turning into a fanatic, Akito. If you keep up like this you're just going to drive us away. This isn't the way to protect the people you care about. You're treating us like we're all the enemy. You act paranoid, aggressive, arrogant...are you actively trying to keep us out? I want to help, Akito. So does Scarlet, and Yurika, and Asemu. We ARE your friends. You're trying to shoulder all this on your own, and it's turning you into a jerk. Let us in."
>>
>>25206157
"Even if you throw away your family? Your humanity? Some lines can be crossed if the need is big enough. Some lines should never be crossed, lest we become worse than the Vagan or old Federation. We can win without crossing those lines. Just let us help you. A burden that breaks one man's back is easy to handle on the backs of many. You don't need to carry that weight alone!"

"That's why I'm with Leviathan, Dirk. They're prepared and like me they are willing to do whatever it takes, just like me. I'm not throwing away my family or my humanity. I'm saving lives and the future of planet Earth! I may have been an asshole, but don't let me fool you into thinking Leviathan is evil. This isn't one of your damn Animes Dirk! Leviathan exists to annihilate the Vagan to stop them from exterminating humanity! Not to rule the world or that bullshit" Akito grits his teeth, obviously becoming frustrated with you.

"I apologize for hitting Yurika...I was just so shocked to realize that Zeheart was a spy! If someone like him could be that monstrous then anyone could be. I'm sorry for drawing a gun on you and Asemu but after I figured out what Zeheart was planning...I panicked" A look of disgust and worry flashes across Akito's face.

"What was he planning Akito?" You demand.

"The Vagans want to destroy the research facility your Dad has in Minsry, the one holding the Vagan defectors. They plan on destroying Fairdain, Minsry and Zarth and then crashing them into Earth..."

Thoughts Dirk?
>>
>>25206439
"Oh, well in that case it's Vagan hunting time."

No one messes with the family.
>>
>>25206439
"Then don't push us away. We can HELP you. If you don't treat those you say you're trying to protect as obstacles, if you bother to, you know, ASK us for help in this struggle, we might have a better chance of repelling the Vagan. Hell, I would jump at any chance to fight alongside my dad, and something tells me you would do the same for yours."
>>
>>25206439
" A colony drop!? You have proof? Shit, that changes things. Alright, the gloves are off. If they really are trying something like that, then I can't hold anything back. Do you have an idea of when they're coming and where from? I've got some nasty toys I can whip up to fry them if we have the time."
>>
>>25206439
"Yes, the Vagan must be stopped, I'm fine with that, I agree with that. I don't feel like having anything crash into earth. And it would have been nice if you didn't decide to keep all of this super secret and run around being a dick about it.

But Leviathan is shady as all fuck, I trust Grodek about as far as I can throw him, and you've turned into a massive ass. I mean a seriously massive asshole. That isn't growing up, not trusting your friends isn't part of growing up, whining about losing isn't growing up, in a lot of ways you're acting like a petulant child."
>>
>>25206439

"Well then. I guess it's time we got all the suits up and running. Not to mention improving our weapons to counter their improved armor..."
"Then we'll need to practice working together, getting used to our suits, Improving them to make use of our strengths while guarding our weaknesses..."
"Not to mention all the resources that we will need in order to get all of this done. We may have to take a trip to the Graveyard to gather raw resources. Dad's recycler should be able to turn some of the scrap there into material bars for the Builders..."
"Then there is sorting out our leave of absence from school to defend the colonies from the vagen threat..."
"Even then, we will have to continue to work on better weapons and improved suit mods..."

"We'll also need to work out a guard rota, where One person is on active patrol, One in reserve and the others 'off duty'..."
>>
>>25206439
This seems odd. How exactly does he know this info. Zeheart I mean? Jake being there is one thing, but the defectors? That's important info. Hell, does he even know what they are making? I have a bad feeling.

>>

"It's not me you should be apologizing to. It's Yurika."

"Also, Leviathan isn't evil? They are working for Grodek, for fucks sake."
"The same Grodek who killed the former captain of the Diva so he could highjack the ship. The same Grodek who threatened everybody on board, including your dad, into helping him. The same Grodek who destroyed 3 friendly Federation ships because they were in his way. The same Grodek who killed civilians on Ambat in cold blood. The same Grodek who broke Desil's arms when he was 7 and then tortured him."
"The man is addicted to killing. And he's trying to turn you into a monster like he is as well."

"They are using you, man. And you're not even seeing that."
"Or you are, and that outburst about them not wanting to rule the world is proof of that. You have your doubts about them, don't you?"

"You want to save humanity? So do I. And you know I was always there for you. Everybody was. Instead of acting like a douche, you could have talked to us about everything and we would've helped you."

"Please, bro. Let me help you. Drop the Leviathan, drop everything you had to do with them, and let me help you."
"Together we can save everybody. What do you say?"

Actually, CDACE broke Desil's arms. Grodek didn't do shit to Desil besides question him.

>"I err... wait what?"
>Narrow your eyes.

"OK you have a point there..."

"I caught a communication from Zeheart. He was on Minsry finding out the location of the bunker. He sent the location before I could stop him. The Vagan on their way here right now, for all I know they could already be here. If you hadn't stopped me I could have alerted the authorities" Akito sighs. "Of course If I hadn't been a dickwade you wouldn't have intervened."

What will you do Dirk?

>>

Right, I gotta go, let Woolf know about this, put things into motion to stop it.

Time to solve problems through mobilizing folks.
>>
>>25207013
"Oh fuck. I've got to warn everyone. When and where?"
"You rest here, I'll take care of everything. And once I'm back, we're continuing this discussion."
"And promise me you'll think about joining the Leviathan. They still stink to high heaven to me. Please."
"Wait. How did Yurika get involved with them?"

After that, alert Jake and Woolf, and go interrogate Zeheart.
>>
>>25207013

"There is no time to be lost. Luckly for you, Asumo, Scarlet and myself are available and ready to defend our homes. Asumo's dad should be able to get our suits equipped with better weapons and provide us the the materials to finish them...
I expect you to have sorted yourself out by the time we regroup. Also, you say that Leviathan is an attack group. If that is the case then we shall form our own group for the defense of our Homes. Our first meeting will either be our first combat mission, or to sort out the various logistics of our task."
head out of the cell
"Oh, and make sure you apologize to your sister. Even if you were panicking, you still hurt her..."

"Right." He nods and you talk with the guard who escorts you and him to Commander Aldrick Abis and Woolf. You explain everything and both look shocked.

"I'll alert the other colonies and scramble the Defense forces as soon as possible." The Aldrick says, picking up the phone.

"I'll alert Federation HQ, maybe I can get Jake down here to help out along with some reinforcements" Woolf says.

You decide to confront Zeheart on the whole affair. You stay out of his cell, despite his injuries he still appears quite dangerous. Zeheart smiles and shakes his head as you appear.

"You won't get anything out of me. I've already won" Zeheart stats proudly.

How do you want to approach this interrogation?

"What, the attack on the colonies? Apparently we knew about that, and the troops are already mobilized."
"Weird, it's almost as you had a spy in your ranks, Zeheart."
>>
>>25208418
Really? Tell me what you've won. Show me what you accomplished, my friend. Is it perhaps killing most of the people that like you?

What did Vagan High Command promise you to be so joyful about when you've been captured by people that would put a bullet through your head when they find out they can't stop the incoming storm?

Surely not something as petty as revenge against the sons of sinners?

I know you're better than that, and so does Asemu. Tell me.
>>
>>25208418
"Actually the ones going after the bunker are probably in getting ambushed right about now."

"You've won, have you? With you captured by us, how exactly have you won? Right now, you're as good as dead to them. You've let yourself and your mobile suit get captured, and we have some of the best pilots this side of the Federation backing us up. Not to mention that you forgot one thing.

I'm Dirk freakin' Crocker. My family spits in the face of impending defeat and comes out on top no matter the odds. You think you've won? Not by a long shot, and not on my fucking watch."
>>
>>25208418
You know, part of me wonders if he even KNOWS his brother is here. Hell, part of me wonders if he actually knows that we are developing a means to CURE the Vagan of their whole 'Mars is slowly killing us' situation. I would not be surprised if he didn't or was told it was a clever ruse or something.
>>
>>25208487
Nah, I didn't forget. It's just that Desil was 7, and he didn't know any better.
Zeheart is in too deep. We must break him first so he can see the error of his ways.

>>25208587
I was thinking about that.
If we mention that the bunker he wants to destroy holds Vagan civilians who have friends and families there, and that all those men and women have devoted their lives to curing the disease and finding a way to stop the effect of Mars rays, how will he react?
Hell, Jake probably even found the solution in the last 20 years, but all the efforts to help the civilians on Vagan were shot down by Ezelcant himself.
>>
>>25208418

"If you've already won, what's the point in keeping it a secret? Or is it that you doubt the capabilities of your allies? Do you feel that they are too weak to face whatever pitiful defence we futually attempt? Are they that lacking in skill that they can only strike the unarmed and unprepared?"
"Very well then. I shall leave you to your cowards victory. Feel free to enjoy the empty room"

>We must break him first so he can see the error of his ways.
I know how to start that. Use >>25208534 to make him talk about Eden. Then we can break him by mentioning the colony drops.
>>
>>25208723
That, and how Jake and all the scientists on Minsry - both Vagan and Federation - are working together on the solution to saving the civilians back on Mars.
And probably how we tried to help them, but we were shot down repeatedly. If we get him to doubt Ezelcant, we win.
Maybe we should call Desil as well...
>>
>>25208418
"'I've already won', eh? Did you really? Honestly, you Vagan are complete fuckwits! Did you really think that we're unprepared for something like this? No, you've won nothing but the deaths of your countrymen. And for what? You've been captured. So has your MS. We've already dismantled both the self-destruct and the X-Transmitter in it. What did you really hope to achieve with this stupidity?

Hell, the research lab you've been targeting is where we've been working on ways to deal with the Vagans' radiation problems! That's right, you're trying to kill the people who want to help you! What's worse, you're trying to drop the colonies onto Earth! The same place the Vagan supposedly want to return to. Are you people complete morons?

Why even invade, anyways? With your technology, shielding your colonies from radiation should be fairly easy! Instead of building dreadnaughts, you should have built radiation shielding and EM fields. Just what is going on in the heads of your leaders? Really? Cause it sure doesn't look like they have the common people's best interests in mind."
>>
>>25208888
Save that for later. We need him to spill about his motivations first, then crush them under our feet like the ants they are.

It would be even better if he showed via X-Rounder vision so we can summon colonies.
>>
>>25208888
We don't know about them wanting to come home, or project Eden yet.

>With your technology, shielding your colonies from radiation should be fairly easy! Instead of building dreadnaughts, you should have built radiation shielding and EM fields.
What we should build are a series of unmanned Gafrans that are controlled by stations on Mars. When they pick up mars wind/rays incoming squads of them form EM barriers to deflect it.
We'll call it the Everyday magnetic-field-dependent Self-defense System or EVERSE System for Short.
>>
>>25208947
Didn't Desil mention that back in Gen 1? At least, in AGE Quest he did while Jake questioned him.

>>25208945
Start with the first part, then use the other parts when he starts bitching about the 'Noble Purpose' of the Vagan invasion. Show him how utterly stupid the Vagan are.
>>
>>25208534
>"Really? Tell me what you've won. Show me what you accomplished, my friend. Is it perhaps killing most of the people that like you? What did Vagan High Command promise you to be so joyful about when you've been captured by people that would put a bullet through your head when they find out they can't stop the incoming storm? Surely not something as petty as revenge against the sons of sinners? I know you're better than that, and so does Asemu. Tell me."

"You don't know me at all. These past few months I've been lying to you, fooling you. You don't know the real me at all. As for my 'reward' it's nothing as petty as revenge. I'm happy in knowing that we're one step closer to Eden" Zeheart smiles happily.

"Eden?" Asemu asks.

"Earth, the paradise we were denied. Once all Earthlings are exterminated, we will be granted hour rightful home" Zeheart explains.

"I'm sure the colony drops your high command plans on doing won't ruin the Earth of anything" You state bluntly.

"Oh it wasn't high commands idea. It was mine. The Earth can take a little punishment if it kills enough Earthlings, it's a worthy trade off." Zeheart shrugs.

"H-how could you do such a thing so easily!?" Asemu screams.

"It's what must be done."

"I find it hard to believe that you people have such advanced technology and yet your unable to deal with the radiation from intense Solar Winds" You narrow your eyes

"I find it hard to believe you can forget that YOU were the ones who attacked us. We merely wanted to come home, but the Federation assaulted us and nearly destroyed us. Lord Ezelcant saved us from destruction and led us on the path to peace and happiness. It's unfortunate that our resources are tied up in the military, but once we've won, that won't be an issue." Zeheart laughs in your face. "In a couple of minutes that won't matter..."

>We must break him first
Just remember, you can't break a man the way you break a dog or a horse. The harder you beat a man, the taller he stands. To break a man's will, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind. Men have this idea that we can fight with dignity, that there's a proper way to kill someone. It's absurd. It's anaesthetic; we need it to endure the bloody horror of murder. You must destroy that idea. Show them what a messy, terrible thing it is to kill a man, and then show them that you relish in it. Shoot to wound, then execute the wounded. Burn them. Take them in close combat. Destroy their preconceptions of what a man is and you become their personal monster. When they fear you, you become stronger. You become better. But let's never forget: it's a display, it's a posture, like a lion's roar or a gorilla thumping at its chest. If you lose yourself in the display, if you succumb to the horror, then you become the monster. You become reduced; not more than a man, but less - and it can be fatal.
>>

Yurika is standing at the door right now, isn't she?
>>
>>25209205
"What about Desil? What about the Vagan's working with us to find a solution to your problems?" You demand.

"Traitors. They will be dealt with in time. Especially Desil...I will not allow him to cause me anymore disgrace! Because of him mother and father were..." Zeheart's eye narrow. "I'll kill him before this war is over if it's the last thing I do"

>>25208604
>"You've won, have you? With you captured by us, how exactly have you won? Right now, you're as good as dead to them. You've let yourself and your mobile suit get captured, and we have some of the best pilots this side of the Federation backing us up. Not to mention that you forgot one thing.

>I'm Dirk freakin' Crocker. My family spits in the face of impending defeat and comes out on top no matter the odds. You think you've won? Not by a long shot, and not on my fucking watch."

"Oh everything's gone according to plan. I couldn't locate the Defense HQ, so I planned on getting captured and taken here. Shot in the kneecaps wasn't part of the plan, but my rescue will make that a moot point."

Your eyes widen.

"Tracking devices are marvelous devices aren't they?" Zeheart smiles as the entire building shakes, alarms screaming.

"ENEMIES SIGHTED! 8 MOBILE SUITS ATTACKING THE BASE, ALL MOBILE SUITS MOBILIZE!"

What will you do Dirk?

>The dust from the colonies will block out the sun. It will choke the Earth. Nothing will grow for a hundred years and the oceans will dry up to nothing.
>Drown in your ideals and die.
Not in Gundam. It just reshapes continents and makes big holes and explosions. Human life will be fine and we'll just find reasons to keep making MS and fighting.
>>
>>25209425
Let's not kill Rivals, please? Quests get boring without a Char to fight and Asemu needs Zeheart to push him to SUPAA PIRATO!
>>
>>25209492
Maybe in this Gundam it actually does cause nuclear winter.
It'd be pretty funny if he screwed the Vagan over with this.
>>

Three colonies at once fucks EVERYTHING.

"You've been tossed aside like trash. They did the same to Uncle Desil, and they'll do the same to you."
>>
>>25209530

Not necessarily, Gundam X's Earth had a shitton of colonies dropped on it and it bounced back. And it's only 15 years after the aforementioned mass colony drop.
>>
>>25209581
Gundam X's Earth is a fucking shithole with more deserts than forest.

Dead rivals drop no colonies. Leaving a genocidal madman alive is the height of stupidity. Would you leave Hitler alive if you had him under your gun? Fuck that rival shit! Dumbass is trying to kill everyone! No way man. Kill the bastard before he kills our family and friends.

Yes, I'm getting overly involved emotionally. But leaving trash like that laying around pisses me off. It's like allowing child rapists or serial killers alive.
>>
>>25209694
Aren't you the guy who freaks out over everything? Seriously dude, calm the fuck down and let us have a Char. We're in a Gundam game, Colony drops are pretty much an old hat that any serious villain tries on at least once.

>>
>>25209736
Dude, not even Char was this much of a bastard. This isn't Char, this is Scirocco we're dealing with. Messed up, very powerful, perfectly willing to kill our shit.
Let's find our frenemy rival in someone a bit less crazy, shall we?
>>
>>25209675
Yeah, >>25209632, I'm not >>25209530.

It won't kill everything, but the dust will kill almost everything. Humanity can rebuild, but mostly everything that makes Eden Eden will die.
>>
>>25209736
Yeah, I do tend to go too far. I can't really help it, and neither have the psychiatrists. I'll try to calm down. I just look at situations like this and think about what I would do in Real Life, not anime. Unfortunately, that mindset makes my solutions look rather...extreme.
>>
>>25209807

Agreed. Does this mean that he is going to Kidnap Yurika and stick her in a Psyco-Gundam?

Then we have to transform into Fighter-mode and stab him though the gut with the nose-cone?

Then he uses his dying will to destroy our mind?
>>
>>25209807
>Dude, not even Char was this much of a bastard.
No, No of course not. Char was nowhere near a bastard. He just killed a man who looked like him, assumed his identity to infiltrate an organization in the goal of getting close to the ruling family, becoming good friends with one, with the intent of murdering them all.
And this isn't counting how he got all genocide-y in his later years.
>>
I'm not for killing Zeheart, but dude, he's apeshit insane in our timeline.

We're not killing the guy, we're taking him in and sending him to prison. But not before Desil has a chat with him.
They are still a family, after all. And who knows, maybe Desil manages to break through to him. Doubtful, but still worth a shot.
>>
>>25209807
Personally I hope Scarlet's rival has a bright green MS and just won't, fucking, die. Because Sir Gawain And The Green Knight references are awesome.
>>25209828
You have a point with the Hitler comparison though. Hitler came to power by saving the German people from a slow death, caused by the frankly absurd restrictions placed by the Treaty of Versailles, then promised the German people revenge, similar to the Vagan fixation on making the Earth Sphere pay for what their ancestors did. His body count is usually estimated at somewhere between eleven and seventeen million, a number which Zeheart's colony drop would DWARF.
However I favor him being thoroughly interrogated, and facing trial for several MILLION counts of attempted murder. Unless it looks like Leviathan are going to stick him in a black hole prison, then I'd be amenable to mercy killing him.

Yeah, he is pretty far off. I think that might be more due to his parents getting off and Desil being a traitor in this timeline.
Honestly, Desil might usurp Asemu's kill rights in Gen 3 here.
>>
>>25209873
To be fair, the Zabis absolutely deserved it for what they did to Zeon Zum Deikun, his family, and his most loyal followers. I mean it was literally the Night of the Long Knives IN SPACE.

> Desil: "You are NOT my family! You are NOT my brother! YOU ARE NOT JAKE!"
>>
>>25209917
You see where I'm coming from. Zeheart's already willing to write off millions, if not billions, of lives simply because they're not Vagan. The colony drop is HIS idea, not Vagan High Command's. I think letting someone like that go will cost a LOT of lives in this universe. I'd rather not wait until he kills Yurika in front of Dirk to give 'em the axe. Zeheart's already as bad as Char from the Counterattack and it's still early in the 2nd generation. What's next, chemical and nuclear attacks? Colony-sized lasers aimed at population centers?
>>
>>25209951
Actually, that's our lever to try and get him to at least show remorse. He should still pay for his crimes, certainly, give him a nice long prison term, for the rest of his natural life. But never stop trying to make him understand. Maybe then he can at least be at peace with himself.
His parents were murdered by his beloved Vagan government, to pay for what their son did. That is some Republic of Greater East Asia level shit right there.
>>
>>25210065
>What's next, chemical and nuclear attacks? Colony-sized lasers aimed at population centers?
Nah, he's not quite Ghiren yet.
>>
>>25210065

But at the same time, we need to help him. It's what the Crockers do.
>>
>>25209873

yes, but at least Char gave his rival equal playing fields. See Psyco-frame. Char caused the concept to get leaked so that Amuro could have it as well...

>>25210098
He has suggested AND is attempting Operation British I, II AND III simultaneously! He is Very much Ghiren level of War-Crimes...
>>
>>25210065
I'd say he's WORSE than Char in Counterattack. At least Counterattack Char had decades to become sickened and Jaded, before going full genocidal. Zeheart is a happy little brainwashed murder machine.
>>25210098
Oh please, he's absolutely Gihren bad. Remember, Gihren is Spacenoid Hitler.
This version of Zeheart seems like he's shaping up to be Spacenoid Stalin. And remember, Stalin had a higher kill count (usually estimated at around twenty million).
>>
>>25210098
Man, we need a 'how much of a dick ARE you?' chart for Gundam villains. Hell, let's put in some super robot villians in there too. At this rate, they are going to make a black hole bomb just so NO ONE gets earth.
>>
>>25210166

>>
>>25210184

>>
>>25210155
>>25210166
He is nowhere NEAR Ghiren level. Ghiren had his forces gas their own people to create his giant colony laser. He killed his own father to extend the war, because Degwin was at peace talks. Ghiren was a massive and total prick to everyone at any cost, Zeheart just wants to drop a few colonies.
>>
Serious question - did we finish the Merlin and Gawain?
>>
>>25210204
That's like saying Hitler is less evil than Gihren because he "just wanted to kill all the inferior peoples of the world".
>>
>>25210204
We're just STARTING season 2 and he's already heading full-throttle towards Ghiren level dickishness. I'd hate to see what kind of monster he could end up as if he lives. We can't let the bastard escape.

>>25210264

Besides, killing Zeheart doesn't stop the colony drops.

>>25210295
Let's not.
>>
>>25210295
Incarcerate the bastard for life. We're better than that.

Unless Grodek gets to him first, and decides on a public execution in the name of the Federation.
And this all turns out to be a move by Leviathan so that they can get public support.
>>
>>25210328
So let me get this straight. You want us to let a genocidal madman go. Because it would be 'more interesting'? Because THAT'S not both metagaming on a massive scale and horribly out of character or anything.
>>
>>25210370
We're not letting him escape, but we're not killing him either.
>>
>>25210393
And yet you seem to also be arguing against putting him on trial for several million counts of attempted murder, and locking his ass away forever.
>>
>>25210370
This ->>>25210393
But then, I want to try to avoid a rut like the one Hollow Quest is in currently, where we killed all our named rivals and all we have is powerleveling and wandering around fighting nameless things.
>>
>>25210393
8 Vagan MS incoming. That's a big chance for him to escape, even with a bum leg. Just gun him down and go.
>>
>>25210418
No, sorry if my post wasn't clear.
I'm all for him facing a proper trial. If the court decides him to be executed, he will be executed. If he's to be put in jail for life, he'll be put in jail for life.
What I'm saying is, we (Dirk) can't take the law into our own hands and kill him. He MUST face proper protocol.

Anima is a light novel currently being serialized in Dengeki Hobby Magazine, and it is weird as all hell.
Good things include Shinji showing clear influences from his interactions with Kaji (for example, he's rockin' the ponytail).
Bad things include the fact that when she's not in Unit-02 being the living incarnation of the uncanny valley, Asuka's a fucking loli for some reason.

You glare at Zeheart. "Why would you do something like this Zeheart? I don't give a shit if you say your not torn up about this, I know deep down inside you hate all of this. Just answer me this: Why?"

"Because I've done to much to get here. I've lost too much, killed to many and done...things that I will never be forgiven for. Now matter what I do now all that matters is the future and that SOMETHING good comes from all this." Zeheart shakes his head and looks at the ground. "Kill me if you wish..."

You take off your shades and glare at him. "Sorry Zeheart, I won't go down that route. Your not getting away, but I won't kill you. No, I'm just going to have a quick...'chat' with you."

He looks up and sees your shades are off. "See I'm not an X-Rounder as much as I'm...and Anti-X-Rounder. When these glasses are off I have very similar abilities to an X-Rounder, only there about 100 times as powerful problem is...I can't control them very well"

Zehearts suddenly looks ill and vomits, blood beginning to come from his nose and ears. After a minute and collapses on the floor.

You stick your shades back on as your powers start to affect you. Asemu looks at you in disbelief.

"What...what did you do?"

"I talked with him via X-waves. I think I said a little too much though..."

"What do you mean by too much?"

"I sent so much information at him so fast it overloaded his brain. Not that I can speak to other X-Rounders any other way, that's the sucky thing about my powers. There super strong but I have zero control over them."

"What did you talk about?"

"Why he should forgive himself and move on. Now take off his clothes" You say straight faced.

"W-what?" Asemu looks at you wide eyed.

"He has a tracer on him, it's built into his clothes, that much I got from our conversation. Leave his clothes here and stick him in the bathroom. They'll be thinking he'll be in his cell."

"What are you going to do?" Asemu asks as you begin to walk away.

The 8 MS are the problem, not Zeheart himself. He's got a tracking chip in him leading the MS right to where he is. If the Vagan really are trying a rescue, we need to shred them before they get too close to the base. Zeheart ain't going anywhere unless those MS get to him. What I'm not sure of is our ability to take all 8 out before they grab the little Gihren-wannabe.

YOU! MY MONIES! WHY AREN'T YOU TAKING THEM!?

On a more serious note, Call Scarlet and tell her to get the suits armed and ready for combat. Also ask her to wait for us. This is not the time to go solo. Teamwork will bring us victory. After all, This isn't a game or an anime.

None of the frame-installed weapons are available, eh? Shit, that make things a lot harder. We'll just do what we always do: fight like an underhanded bastard. We've got decent support as well. With Woolf and his troops involved, we might pull this off if we don't fight fair. Get to the MS. Grab EM Rifles and grenades. Show the Vagan just who the Hell we are.

Welp, time to scramble.

"Asemu. No time for being awestruck at how awesome I am."

"Grab weapons for the suits. EM rifles, preferably, they seem to be the most effective thing against this new armor. Also grenades."
"Tell Woolf that we're dealing with 8 X-Rounders here. They are highly talented, but individualistic and prideful. They can be easily defeated if we box them in with constant fire from all directions."
"I'll take care of the tracker. They are most likely following it - if I destroy the clothes real quick but preserve the tracker, I can throw it in a toilet bowl and force them to follow it far away from here."

He's alive. He's going to have a lot to think about and his head's going to pound for a week straight but your pretty sure you didn't permanently damage anything important.

You head to the hanger and climb into the Merlin Gundam. You and Scarlet collect weapons. 2 beam sabers each, Standard MS Explosive grenades *no other types available* and EM Bullpumps with plenty of ammo.

"Woolf, we're fighting 8-X Rounders They are highly talented, but individualistic and prideful. They can be easily defeated if we box them in with constant fire from all directions. How many men do you have?"

You see Woolf boarding his G-Bouncer and Command Aldrick boarding the Proto-Clanche.

"With you two, myself and the Commander? Four. They just killed the last of the Defense forces here. Everyone else is fighting the Vagan on the outside of the colony" Woolf explains as the hanger door is blown off, one of the X-Rounder mobile suits stepping inside.

"8 X-Rounders vs 4 of us? Now that isn't fair....for them" Your eyes narrow and the Merlin's eyes flash as if saying "Challenge Accepted"

(and this is where I'll end things tonight guys. Tomorrow's game will start at 4:00 PM since I need to do some job hunting. So, how was today's part?)

Glorious.

Zeheart seems OOC.

We reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally need to know what happened to him for that to make sense.

Other than that, excellent. Looking forward to next thread.
>>
>>25211237

Exquisite.

We shall have to spend much development time into making systems which can channel Dirks Abilities... Maybe have a thing similar to Unicorn Gundam, but call it 'Arcane Mode' or some such...
>>
>>25211336
>We reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally need to know what happened to him for that to make sense.
Maybe Desil defecting to our side had something to do with it.
>>
>>25211336
Oh I know. Don't worry I haven't gone this far to fuck up a character for no particular reason. I mean you guys have changed a LOT. So it's not surprising your actions have had unintended changes.

However I am sad that Art-Anon did not show up today. I really wished to see the finished Merlin Gundam.

>>25211336
His parents were murdered as reprisal for Desil's defection, and he was likely raised by the state, being thoroughly brainwashed into thinking that the Vagan are building a better world, all of them, better worlds?
>>
>>25211237
Fun game, though I did end up dragging everyone off onto a tangent about killing off Zeheart for what, an hour or so?
>>
>>25211350
>Arcane Mode
No no, Dirk is the "serious" one. He'll have some bullshit long name for it. It just happens that it can be acronymized to "ARCANE". When Scarlet points this out he can get all frustrated and insist on using the full name at all times, while Scarlet constantly uses the acronym just to mess with him.

>>25211376
Good work cannot be rushed...
>>25211370
>>25211382
You would think that he would take into consideration the massive damage to Eden... alas.
>>
>>25211350
Speaking of Dirk, is there a chance of him getting his power under control?
I guess it'll take some serious time and practice, but he can manage it.
>>
>>25211455
Of course. We have to make use of the power somehow, goddammit. Hell, when he finally comes to terms with it, we can make the Merlin Gundam manipulate like, 20 bits at once.
>>
>>25211382
Oh fuck. I just remembered something. Desil said how he has many brothers and sisters in the military.
The Magicians 8 are Desil's other siblings, aren't they?
>>
>>25211420
He's a fanatic. They're not exactly known for thinking through the logical contradictions in their beliefs.

Anti-X-Rounder Capacitor for Ability Nexus Entanglement (ARCANE)

feel free to adjust until it works...
>>
>>25211494
Well, considering how we'll most likely have reverse-engineered nanomachines from the Black Raven, we might end up with a self-repairing, psychic mobile suit.
>>
>>25211511
>The Magicians 8 are Desil's other siblings, aren't they?

Well, well.

>Knowing others like him were suffering, he joined the Federation military under his new alias Desil L'Ciel. He became a mobile suit pilot and winded up helping to create the Federations first X-Rounder Mobile Suit Team which he named “The Magnificent 7” .
