You consider the Huntsman kneeling before you once more. Clearly, this new specimen will require some orders…
And he isn't the only one amongst your staff who will require some instruction.

After all, you were going to give the servants new assignments next…

You review your mental itinerary.

✓ Finish chess game
✓ What will be done with the Ulvenwald Villagers?
✓ Personal fleshcrafting
> Sort out the servants
> Ambush Nalus with Ahote leading the operation.
> Pick up dresses
> Examine village in Ulvenwald
> Check Airship Yard
> Commission an Airship
> Follow up other leads if Nalus isn't the culprit.

You are Isabella Katarina Markova, twelfth of the line of Carmilla, thirteen generations from Dracula, the First. This places you with enough blood and power to make you a minor noble in Shadescast, the city of the vampires, and possess your own castle- which does not necessarily have sensible geometry, and which is not always in the same place. Though your physical appearance is that of a young girl, you are actually three and a half centuries old.

You spend your time responding to requests from other vampires for lore, and holding tea parties and other social events, both with humans and vampires. On occasion, you indulge in adding one or two of them to your collection of porcelain dolls…

Recently, you were attacked by a human vampire hunter who managed to temporarily kill you. Upon rising from death, you captured him and left him in the tender hands of your doll collection... but first he managed to majorly deface your castle and burn a portion of your library, including some hard-to-replace texts. Signs point to him having been hired by a rival vampire... and one who was here, and managed to take one of your dolls.

Currently, you are working to turn the mayor of Mark into your soft, gooey servant. The process will take one or two weeks more. You also intend to invest in the airship trade- a process speeded considerably when the chattel you acquired to raise money were vastly overvalued by a vampiric noble by the name of Blackford. As a result, you gained control of his airship yards in Mark. When you returned from formally transferring control, you discovered that Rose had gone missing in your absence- So you had Scarlet, one of your Dolls' creations, drag her back to the Castle for you. In return, Scarlet was given Rose as her servant.

Five minutes later, you almost ate Scarlet after taking backlash from a failed scrying attempt.

Having sorted that out, you arranged your itinerary for the next week...

I thought he was sufficiently tenderized already?

>Numberologist (Thomas):
Try to increase his power. Inquire as to the exact mechanics of his craft. How quickly can we launder his fake money?

>Rose:
Check progress, maybe start teaching her basic fleshcraft.

>Sophia:
Mind-cuddle her. She is a time bomb of betrayal.

>Maxwell:
Check up, mind cuddle.

>Ahote:
See how his prep for the ambush is proceeding

>Scarlet:
Hugs. Still saying we should keep mind cuddling her but it's up to you guys.

The Huntsman:
Definitely mind cuddle now that he's controlling the hounds.

The only new servants of immediate concern are Head Maid Sophia, Maxwell, and Thomas the Numerologist. Rose is under Scarlet's care, Ahote is an esteemed guest doing his own thing, and Scarlet is, well, Scarlet.

Check in on Sophia personally, and be sure to remind her of her place in the castle. If she doesn't like her current position, she could always be shoveling slop for the new Pack.
Check on Tommy and make sure his numbers balance out and he isn't taking anything for himself.
Maxwell is the most curious case. The two paths suggested are to either give him valet training or station him in Grand Victoria as a mortal agent of ours. Personally, I'm inclined towards the latter, mostly because it gets him out of our hair and we don't have to hear him prattle, plus we can maintain a steady feed of info on the goings-on of Grand Victoria.

>>25198071
We ARE sorting out the servants now.

>>25198210
GEE I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED
>>
>>25198067
Well for Thomas and Rose I would agree with taking that course of action.

For Sophia I think we should ask her if there is anything she thinks the castle needs and if she can't think of anything have to think of a list of things while we are out.

For Maxwell I think we should test him. Since we are of a more magical nature I propose that we have him study. He learn spend his time pouring over books and once we return he will tell us what he has learned. We will then judge him on if he has made any progress.

Ahote I agree with.

Scarlet have her continue with whatever work she desires at the moment along with hero other duties (watching over Rose ect.), but also have her keep an eye on Maxwell.
>>
>>25198067
We can use the virtual Holdings he offers at any time, but we need to roll an Acumen check to make sure they pass off well enough that no one notices they don't actually exist.
>>
nice quest Idea
how about starting an army of flying monkeys to protect you airship trade?
>>
>>25198067
The Huntsman is already perfectly loyal to you, having your magic literally in his bones. Only opposing mindfuckery would make him turn on you.

>>25198319
Sorry, you're going to have to wait for our next fleshcrafting session.
>>
>>25198319
1. It'd break the masquerade way too easily, especially in a domain that fiercely frowns upon anything unholy.
2. We kinda need a fleet, first. Isabella hasn't even commissioned her own personal cruiser yet.
>>
>>25198309
I understand that part but my question is more what happens once the virtual holdings leave our control. Does he generate more? And if so at what rate? And is there a cap?

>>25198319
You're mocking us, but we totally need to do that anyways.
>>
>>25198355
I think the trend I've seen is that we have virtual holdings equal to half our actual holdings.
>>
>>25198355
If the money is passed off successfully then he can generate more.

However, if anyone discovers it as fake in the future it goes *poof* like fairy gold.
>>
>Numberologist (Thomas)
Continue his mental conditioning. Once he's loyal enough to give our financial accounts, we can actually put him to work.
Also, we should mildly mindrape him. His magic is extremely useful and we should learn it. We could get use from the magic long after he's dead and gone.

>Rose
We gave her to Scarlet. Don't micromanage, leave her to it.

>Sophia
A little mental conditioning and assign her to be trained in her roll of maid by the household staff.

>Maxwell
I think the plan was to have him trained up then later we could use him for intel gathering in Mark. Also, mental conditioning.

>Ahote
Ask how his preparations for the hunt are going. Also, locate his tribe.

>Scarlet
Give her a hug.

>The Huntsman
If he is to escort us around town he must look the part. Have him fitted at the tailors.

No, the airship would stay. However whoever had the money then would discover it mysteriously missing.
>>
>>25198455
1, Make a point of diluting the voodoo economics. Mix the magic money in with real cash.

2, Don't give the magic money to anyone we shouldn't cross or want to keep on good terms. (ie: Vampires that could wreck our shit)
>>
>>25198455
Anyway, let's push on. Current trend is to:
>Check on Thomas; see how he runs his numbers; ensure his loyalty
>Check on Sophia; make sure she understands her place and has taken to her role; if she gets uppity, USE THE PIMP HAND
>Check on Maxwell; consider him for valet/etiquette/retainer training; eventually station him in Mark as our agent and informant
>Rose is Scarlet's business, but see how well she's dealing with it
>See if Ahote has found his tribe; inquire about progress in prep for the ensuing vampire hunt
>>
>>25198508
Vampire money laundering quest? We run it through the shipyard in mark and maybe a few other investment vehicles. Nobody will be the wiser until the Markian economy inexplicably collapses. Definitely something to be careful about. We should limit our use of this.
>>
The Hounds.

Last thread, it was pointed out that the hive-mind thing could make them vulnerable to mindfuckery.

Before we take them into action we need to booby-trap them with an enchantment that would give nasty backlash to mindfuckery other than ours.

Doesn't even need to be that powerful, just something that would rattle them for a few moments would be enough.
Having your senses shaken for a few moments in the presence of Fluffy and his pack will probably be a game finisher.

Smart. So just cover the hivemind with a security hex that only Isabella (and anyone else with the power that we approve of) can get through, more than likely something that scrambles the mind and leaves them stunned. It's like a door trapped with a flashbang that triggers when you open it unless you know the trick.

>>25198711
Nah. Vampires are famed through aeons for keeping the pimp hand strong.
>>
>>25198667
And set Maxwell on his path to knowledge by having him study books while we are out.

>>
>>25198667
I like how the one servant you don't address is Maxwell. Frankly, I don't blame you.
>>
>>25198778
Oh yes. Are we going to train him or send him to Mark, or both in order?
>>
>>25198778
I'm still not entirely sure why we keep Snackwell around. Aside from his monstrous ambition he has no redeeming qualities and he doesn't actually do anything. If we see him definitely cuddle.
>>
>>25198796
I think he needs some training and mind-cuddling before we send him out to spy for us.

Train first. Then put him to work in Mark.
>>
>>25198796
I would say train him and once we are satisfied that he is ready we shall send him into the field where he will prove himself.
>>
>>25198796
>>25198820
Yeah, Maxwell is honestly the most difficult to handle because the only thing we have on him is his ambition to be sired by Isabella, which is why I want to send him to Mark and get him out of our hair. Train him up in basic skills and etiquette, then ship him off to Mark as our agent; make sure to station him elsewhere in the city that doesn't immediately relate to us (notably, the airfield and our estate) so we can get an outsider's view of what's happening in Mark and Grand Victoria as a whole.
>>
>>25198796
You take a moment while you're here to add a layer of protection to the Pack's mind with some sealing runes. You're fairly certain your binding will hold.

The chitinous hounds are surprisingly affectionate to you, though their smooth, hard skin isn't exactly inviting. You emerge from the pack smiling at your new acquisitions.

Scarlet is smiling at you from the sidelines, and you decide to reward her for her part in making the Pack. But what to do…

A sudden thought strikes you, and on the spur of the moment, you hug her fiercely.

Scarlet is taken by surprise as you grab her legs, but she sort of pats you on your head, clearly appreciating your attention.

… You're going to have to change your clothes again.

Hm. That's an idea…

Sophia could use some scaring to get that stubborn streak out of her.

So you drop in on her with every inch of your clothes soaked in blood.

"Afternoon, Sophia."

Her eyes take in the bloody handprint on your hat, and the blood all across the front of your dress, and she fingers something in a pocket.

You sigh, and look into her eyes.

Slowly, the hand is removed from her pocket, and brings the knife she was fingering up to her own throat.

"I'm becoming tired of this rebellion, Sophia. Now, tell me. Did you help Rose escape?"

She says nothing, her upper lip curling with force of will.

"Did. You."

She snarls, but then her lips part against her will and the answer spills forth.

"Yes, Lady Markova."

Well. It would appear that you now know how a small, frightened girl like Rose managed to slip out of the tightly-guarded castle unnoticed.

What will you do about Sophia?

(Secret roll has been made for rune strength on the hounds.)
>>
>>25198643
Wait a minute. The hounds' stats only drop low enough for hacking to be plausible when they're separated anyways. I mean, a quick backlash would be useful, but if they've captured a single hound then that one hound wouldn't be much of a threat. I think we should have it also send out a homing beacon of some sort. When we get it, immediately start counter-mindfucking on the Huntsman and all present hounds and overpower the meddler with the bonuses we get.
>>
>>25198986
>Let us Pray the Pimp's Prayer.
>Lord, please pray for the soul of this bitch and guide my pimp hand and make it strong Lord, so that she might learn a hoe's place.
>*SLAP*
Then send her to shovel slop for the Pack for a while.
>>
>>25198986
Oh Sophia. I want to be nice to you. I really do. I want to be kind to my servants, but you are making that very difficult.
>>
>>25198986
This is less than ideal, we're going to have to get more persuasive with her. Also what does she want? Rose wants safety, Slably wanted a boss, Maxwell wants immortality. If we're going to manipulate her we need to find out what makes her tic(k). Not sure if we should rip it out of her or not.
>>
>>25198986
Give her a day or two in the Doll House. She'll learn or shell become raw materials.

She is of minimal value to us. I have no interest in fucking about with her.
>>
>>25198986
We should tell her in detail what the punishment was for the other servants who ran away and as the head maid she should tell us what she thinks her punishment should be. Warn her that if it's not to our satisfaction that we will have to create our own...interesting punishment.
>>
>>25198986
Hmmm, that's interesting. I advocated leaving her un-fucked for a couple of days to see how rebellious she'd be, but I had only really anticipated an assassination attempt or for her to flee. Helping Rose get away seems remarkably selfless, and not doing anything to get out herself strangely passive.
>>
>>25199200
She's been compulsed into not leaving herself, otherwise she would probably be gone.

>>25199150
In my opinion, I think she demands independence and refuses to be tied down by anyone. She's an honest-to-God liability right now, especially after confirming that she's responsible for Rose's flight. For what it's worth, she cares about her fellow humans enough that she helped one of them escape. Clearly, she wants out and wants nothing to do with this.

Ask her what she wants, straight up. What does she want out of Isabella, of her situation?
>>
>>25199200
Not really, if she has any sense of self preservation she would have wanted to test our reaction to an escape attempt before trying her own. She sent Rose out as a guinea pig, expecting it not to lead back to her if we even caught the little runaway.
>>
>>25199233
That actually might be the best choice as it gets us to the real problem she has.
>>
>>25199233
We really do need a proper Sakuya to our Remilia. A friggin' time-and-space ninja maid, the vision of perfect elegance. A real person, not just a construct of ours.
>>
>>25199265
Rose wasn't the best choice though, not only is she entirely unsuited to escaping thus making our recapture of her a poor measure of whether someone resourceful like Sophia could get away, but she's also entirely unsuited to rebellion which makes it reasonably to suspect she had help.
>>
If my experience with knife wielding maids in the service of vampire lolis has taught me anything, it's that we should molest her and imply she wears padding in her bra.
>>
>>25199233
>>25199282
It's possible she's just a complete sociopath. I mean, until we caught her and made her our maid, she was basically just a hobo with a knife.
>>
>>25199282
>>25199233
If nobody comes up with an alternative fast I'm going with this.
>>
>>25198986

"How terribly noble, helping Rose escape from the terrible vampire. You selflessly stayed behind while she escaped to freedom. Why it's almost like a story book. Of course you must have known what awaited her in Ulvewald. You're a smart girl Sophia. Smart enough to know what would happen to somebody like Rose there. The truth is that you never cared. This was never about her. It was just another way to slight me. But don't worry, I am forgiving. I will bear your hatefulness until you can be made to understand your place here."

>>
>>25199316
But wasn't rose the only one we didn't mind-write the "no escaping" order into after the slab fiasco?
>>
>>25199352
If we use this (and for the record I approve) I think we should take a personal interest in Sophia's education. I don't care if it happens off screen, but I think making this personal shows that we care about our servants well being.

You smile sweetly at the girl.

"How very thoughtful of you, Sophia. Allowing Rose to go on alone to be inevitably recaptured. Did you think she would survive in Ulvenwald without my help? I don't think so. You merely wished to hurt me more. Why, Sophia? Why do you hate me so much?"

You step forwards towards her.

"Sophia. I want you to work with me. What do you want?"

She spits at you.

"I want to be free, you tiny little bitch!"

And you can feel the blow in your mind, as she pours all her hatred into breaking the control that pours in from your gaze.

Since this is the next thing on our agenda, I think it's worth discussing now. Plan ahead a little so the quest moves along.

Basic outline of my plan:

>Dress them in local garb (from the village) and arm them like local Vampire hunters. (armed something like Ahote)

Sophia pauses for only an instant before simply throwing the knife at you, your vampiric eyes tracking it as it makes a single perfect rotation-

You decide that enough is enough. Not even bothering to try and dodge Sophia's next stab, you dig your fingernails into one palm and call upon your blood magic.

Sophia throws another knife in desperation, but the magic already has her and the shot goes wild. You slam her against a wall, and hold her there.

Well. The room is a disgrace. Some maid this one.

> What will you do now?
> Eeriness roll with a +30 bonus to maintain control now that you have it.
> Sophia's ferocity as usual, this is her only shot at escape.
>>
>>25199996
both sides outright failing is far too common under these systems in my opinion. Plus, it introduces hard stat caps which make scaling difficult.
>>
>>25200043
I think we're trying to prove a point here. It's just that Sophia is putting up a much bigger fight than we gave her credit for.

...maybe make her drink our blood?

How does this work, anyway?
>>
>>25200090
I say we should just change her to desire subservience instead of freedom (as well as make her more loyal). Let that be her punishment, having to live on knowing that she can't help but be satisfied and most happy doing what she hated.
>>
>>25200185
I didn't say Doll. I said Flesh-Loom.

Another creation like the Huntsman.
She's a fucking pain in the ass but clearly has potential.
I bet we could create something special out of her.
>>
>>25200215
I just want to hear her answer. Besides, what's wrong with being so forcefully independant?

Isn't that what Isabella and her sister did to their "father?" Rebel violently?
>>
>>25200251
It may be laudable on an individual level, but it also makes her useless as she is, nothing more than a threat that can't be trusted.
>>
>>25200228
Your blood is addictive and as part of you in her system will make her vulnerable to your control.
>>
>>25200301
This sounds like it has potential. Addicted is about as far from free as you can get.
>>
>>25200301
I wanna hear her answer before we feed her any blood or imbue her with our magic. I'll bet it's something like Scarlet's answer. "I don't want to be weak again. I don't want others to be hurt, especially on my behalf."
>>
>>25200207
Give her to the dolls for a while with orders not to break her and force her to drink our blood. I thnik that may suffice
>>
She just broke our magic. If anything else, she's interesting enough to be worth keeping, but she needs to be entirely broken first.

We don't appreciate being attacked in our own home. Ensure she knows that until she did that, we didn't really care about what she did and would have allowed her relative freedom, but now that she's interesting enough to garner our attention, we're going to spare no effort in 'acquiring' her.
>>
>>25200251
Because, with out rolls, she could have killed us and set our house on fire. Some of our things are irreplaceable, some of our minions are easier to kill, some of our secrets should stay hidden and Sophia is too great a god damn security risk to keep unloyal, and too damn impulsive to trust to suppress her insubordination. And she wants, above all else, true freedom. You wanna make her a vampire? That, letting her go, mindrape and death are your options. Go.
>>
>>25200324
It also means that if she dies she could rise as a Vampire.

Also, we've already shown that blood links can be exploited with magic.
Someone could grab her and and might be able to use the blood link.
>>
>>25200351
The issue is, she broke our magic through force of will, and most of the suggestions of how to deal with her are all about taking that away, which would be counterproductive.
>>
>>25200381
Exactly. We have to find a way to redirect it, and I want to do it by playing to her base desires.
>>
>>25200381
>which would be counterproductive.
This, we don't want to ruin the very thing we find useful in her by forcefully making her loyal, what would the point of that be
>>
>>25200415
Not to mention she's actually pretty neat in a fight, at least for a human.
>>
>>25200415
I thought we found her skill with knives to be useful, not her personality.
>>
>>25200351
>>25200412
Is there any problem in letting her go?

If anything can bring her under our control, it's giving her freedom and waiting until she comes back, after all, she'll want something else after being free.

And maybe she only wants to know (think) she can go away when she wants.
>>
>>25200381
From last thread:

The Huntsman
Ferocity 50
Celerity 40
Acumen 30
Eeriness 20
Discipline 30
Masquerade 90

We are /not/ suggesting destroying her will. The Huntsman has 30 Discipline.

Put her in the Flesh-Loom. We can make use of her potential.
>>
>>25200437
She seemed resourceful from the start, and this fight hasn't exactly made her mind look weak.
>>
>>25200365
If she does she'll be utterly dependent on your blood for a year and very easy to control.
>>
>>25200437
The former, yes. The latter just came up.
>>
>>25200450
That's...actually not a bad thought.
Let her go in Mark. See what she does.
>>
>>25200458
Perfect, that's what we need, something she can't overpower with willpower
>>
>>25200412
>>25200415
See >>25200452
You need to read the previous threads. You are arguing against something that is not an issue.
>>
>>25200474
Give her a chance to start over in a place that isn't Eyesocket, and she gets out from under us. We'll see where she goes from there.
>>
>>25200480
You want to turn her into a vampire now?

There are easier ways to control her.
>>
>>25200450
And what preventing our proposed stalker from picking her up and being...less gently in acquiring her loyalties? Or spreading word of a va,pier matching our description in her hometown, which would preclude us ever setting up shop there?
>>
>>25200480
You know, it sounds good, but I can't help but notice that if she turned vamp it would put her in the exact same position as Isabella and her sister was in (just replace the pedophilia with a hatred of service), which has a lot of potential to screw us over in a very poetic manner.
>>
>>25200474
>>25200491
Are you fucking insane?!

No. NOOOO!

Let her go in Mark? So she can run right to the Witch-Hunters and Inquisition?

That's it. You don't get to vote any more.
>>
>>25200537
This. God, whiteknights such at playing in horror settings.
>>
>>25200090
I've had it with Sophia. She really doesn't seem that useful at this point. She may be good with a knife, but we have a small army of very powerful fighters now who aren't prone to rebel and try to kill us.

I say we kill her right here and now. Slit her throat and drink every last drop of her delicious blood. For added style points, maybe whisper to her that she's finally getting the freedom she desired so dearly.
>>
>>25200537
Point taken. The Witch-Hunters slipped my mind.
>>
>>25200569
Did I say "such"? Sorry, I meant "suck" as in "they are very bad at not letting every named female NPC walk all over them all the time. And it sucks for the rest of us."
>>
>>25200570
Second.
>>
>>25200570
Nah reprocess her, she no longer useful to us and is a hazard. Make her our first assassin doll.
>>
>>25200480
No no no no no.

We're not going to do what our sire did and make her into a vampire just so she can be our attack dog. Sure, it isn't half as creepy as what our sire did, but it's almost as bad.
>>
Just put her in the Flesh-Loom.

She has some potential, just ensure her loyalty and give her some human+ alterations and she could be useful.
>>
I vote making her our blood-slave.

As long as we solve this in a permanent way.
>>
>>25200537
Alternately, you could let her free in, say, Ulvenwald.

Or Shadescast.
>>
>>25200615
This. Make her our spy/assasin
>>
>>25200602
This idea has merit, but less doll and more loyal servant.
>>
>>25200618
We not letting anything we get our hands on for a lenght of time go. Shes had access to all of our shit and if she gets away, we'll get hunted down or murdered.
>>
>>25200618
And let other vampires snatch her up for a great minion instead? That's almost as bad.
>>
>>25200604
Ok. Then let's just eat her, she really isn't worth all the time we've wasted fighting her and debating her punishment. Just drain her and give her body to the dolls, and let Rose see that we are not always merciful.
>>
>>25200618
Yeah, but that's essentially just throwing her away.
She gets away with this slight and we get nothing.

>>25200615
>>25200602
Seconding these. Just turn her into something useful.

Then we can move on.
>>
>>25200618
If we released her, I'd be worried she'd find her way to the home of one of our rivals, and describe to them in detail our castle's defenses.
>>
>>25200537
Is there any other place we can that is far away enough? and no letting her go without surveillance, and killing her if things go south, or she doesn't return in some time, i said freedom, but we're not risking anything for her.

>>25200569
No interest in whiteknighting, but the interesting thing in her is her attitude, if only it was pointed at others, if it doesn't work, we break her.

Right now, we should dangle the possibility, in a far away place, if only so she stops attacking, just ask her what would she do with her freedom.
>>
>>25200615
Doing this will be more difficult with an actively resisting host. Also, we'd have to use our bloodbag hobos.
>>
>>25200674
That's retarded. What possible reason is there to kill her instead of using her for flesh-shaping? Isabella's not even notably hungry.
>>
>>25200618
>Ulvenwald
At that point we should just tie off the loss end and end her.
>Shadecast
Ok, now you're just being funny.
>>
>>25200687
Well, if she wants freedom we can give her a choice.

Drink our blood or go in the Loom.

>>25200658
>>25200676

It's not whiteknighting. It's playing to her desires to ensure future loyalty. Make her work for her freedom.
>>

Rolling to kill her. If I fail at least we start the quest moving again.
>>
>>25200728
shitposting is not going to help or proceed things and faster
>>
>>25200716
Her desire is full independence. As in not working for someone that has previously placed shackles on her mind. In my opinion there is no chance at natural loyalty from this one. What makes you think differently?
>>
>>25200687
We have bonuses up the ass with our Sanctum, Flesh-Loom and Scarlet assisting. I don't think it's an issue.

And we can grab more hobos any time.

Go for it.
>>
>>25200767
Optimism, I suppose. If you wanna imbue her with Isabella's magic or throw her in the Flesh Loom, then so be it.
>>
>>25200703
Just mentioning it in case you wanted to do the "you wanted to be free? Go be free." thing.
>>
We ought to at some point try to construct an apparatus that would continuously blood from a restrained prisoner at a rate just short of what would be lethal.

Because I can't imagine a more ironically fitting punishment for a freedom-loving rebel like Sophia than keeping her permanently confined in such a machine.
>>
>>25200773
You have her dragged away by dolls, to be turned into your next masterpiece at your leisure.
>>
>>25200744
Neither is this conversation at this point, the audience is spilt and not budging...is the post useless, probably, but I can hope the QM will take pity and start rolling for Sophia every few minutes until the character forces our hand, or we come to consensus.
>>
>>25200834
Well, I guess that's the end of that. Now let's go check on Tommy the Numerologist.
>>
>>25200792
At this point I'd rather burn her mind to ash and throw her back on the street, assuming none of our blood is in her. I will settle for her being made a permanent non-threat that does not require our attention.
>>
>>25200834
Thank you for allowing us to move on. Let's vent our frustration somehow. I say a tea party is in order, perhaps we shall taste the new item on the menu?
>>
>>25200840
Alright then, back on track for Thomas.
>>
>>25200834
Awesome. Can we just do that off screen at some point so we don't have to waste any more time on this one thing?

Next thing on the agenda.
> Ambush Nalus with Ahote leading the operation

Basic outline of my plan:
>Find his crib in Ulvenwald. (if we don't already know where it is)
>Mind-slave 15-20 hobos from Eyesocket.
>Dress them in local garb (from the village) and arm them like local Vampire hunters. (armed something like Ahote)
>Have the "Vampire Hunters" launch a frontal attack.
>Program them to flee once the slaughter begins.
>Nalus chases them right into our waiting ambush.
>Ahote does his thing, Fluffy gets to play with the pack.
>We eat.

Ideas?

I like it, but you're thinking too small. We're a little vampire industrialist, after all.

Construct a factory with a hundred of those machines connected to a bottling system. Put all the prisoners we can find into the factory, and use it to produce a constant supply of cheap low-quality bottled blood to sell to the lower class vampires of Shadecast. Bloodweiser, if you will.
>>
>>25200901
We've got an itinerary to keep.
>>
>>25200905
You can do it off-screen by giving her to the Dolls to play with.
>>
>>25200861
>>25200904
Of fuck. The Sophia thing dragged on so much I completely forgot about the others. I thought we were moving on to the next item on the list.
>>
>>25200811
Or, perhaps, a spell that would keep them alive and healing, no matter how much blood they have left in their veins?

For extra creepiness, combine it with our rose gardens - the plants can restrain, feed and drain prisoners, while the spell ensures that they never die from it and the agony never lessens.

Perhaps their spirits could even be sundered from their flesh to double the suffering - wraiths kept eternally bound to their still-bleeding carcasses, unable to pass on, periodically forced to return to their tortured husks as their strength waxes and wanes.
>>
>>25200904
The next item on the list is Thomas.
You have little time to stand around and chat after the interlude with Sophia, so you get straight to the point. The books are clean. He can make more money or more people than he is now- He can clone anyone or anything temporarily, including you- but these are more advanced, and he is not particularly skilled in his craft.

Anything you would like to request him do?
>>
>>25200925
I'd rather have Isabella do it (just off screen later) but I'm all in favour of streamlining.

I wouldn't object if people want to leave it to Scarlet and the Dolls.
>>
>>25200877
If we're going to do that, we might as well just eat her.

>>25200834
Alright. She can be turned into some kind of ninja maid later.

However, her punishment must fit her crime. She needs to be able to think, but never disobey. She'll watch herself being used as a puppet, because she wanted freedom enough that she actually tried to kill us in our own home. Maybe some kind of geas, where if she thinks about disobeying her orders she's subject to extreme pain?
>>
>>25200912
I am now imagining a redneck vampire in a trailer park with a case of Bloodweiser. And of course hipster vampires that prefer another, more obscure brand of canned blood.
>>
>>25200974
First I would like him to get better at his craft. If that means he has to study or by us "helping" him along.
>>
>>25200912
We'll have to look into that.

See if there is a market for it.
>>
>>25200974
Just keep doing what you're doing. Wonder aloud if he'll ever write a book on this someday.
>>
>>25201007
He notes down the names of some books he's heard of that might help him perfect his craft. Perhaps you can look for them later when you're in Mark or Shadescast.
>>
>>25200974
Maybe we can buy him a few books on Numerology. If that cloning technique can be made permanent, it would provide us with the resources we would need to create an entire army.

Either way, we need to ensure that we have his loyalty. Use our voice, I suppose.
>>
>>25201039
I think that will do for now and just tell him we will bring him what he needs to improve.

Next servant.
>>
>>25201046
Nah, no voice for now. Buying him the books would be a nice-enough gesture.
>>
>>25201039
Okay, get list of books that he can use in his craft.
Mind-cuddle to condition loyalty.
Memory-probe to learn the secrets of his craft ourself.
>>
>>25201039
Let's go peek in on Rose, then Ahote. I wanna save Maxwell for last.
>>
>>25201039
Then I guess we can thank him for his service, explain that loyalty and initiative are not thing which go unrewarded, and move on.
>>
>>25201108
You're in a hurry, and you can read just as well as Thomas can. You'll steal his books for yourself later.

Now, you need to go speak to Rose or Maxwell.

> Vote fast. Ahote is last, because the next item after him is hunting vampires.
>>
>>25201158
Let's go see Rose.
>>
>>25201158
Rose then Maxwell
>>
>>25201128
>>25201177

Rose it is.
>>
>>25201158
Go see Max, Rose is someone else's problem now.
>>
>>25201201
We're not having a full checkup. We're just poking our head in the door to see how she's coming along after her adventure in Ulvenwald. She's Scarlet's business now, yes, but it helps to at least take a look once in a while.
>>
>>25201197
You take a moment to drop in on Rose.
She appears to be being treated well by Scarlet, who has put Rose's rose in a vase atop a bookshelf where the relatively-shorter Rose can't reach. The rose is missing a few more petals than before, but it would appear that Rose is learning quickly under Scarlet's firm tutelage.

As Scarlet seems to be in the middle of explaining something, you simply wave from the door and leave them to continue their lesson.

> Next: Maxwell.
>>
>>25201242
Hoo boy. This might take a little while, if only because Max doesn't shut up.
>>
>>25201242
Maxwell is waiting not-so-patiently in his chambers for you, tapping his feet on the floor. As you open the door, he leaps to his feet and addresses you.

"Aha! I knew you would come eventually! What is it, what do you need me for? How can I prove my loyalty to you, Lady Markova?"

Especially after the fight you had with the strong-willed Sophia, his intense desire to serve is off-putting. You feel almost like kicking him just to see if he'd ask for another one.

> What do you tell him?
>>
>>25201294
Kick him. See if he asks for another.
>>
>>25201294
SOMEONE'S an eager beaver.
Ask him exactly what he did before we picked him up out of Eyesocket.
>>
>>25201294
He will receive training from our Butler in how to serve a Noble House.

If he proves competent, we will give him a mission in Mark to prove himself.
>>
I suspect our meeting with Ahoth and the next item on the agenda will be merged.

Sooo. This >>25199703 is my plan. Ask for Ahotes take on it.

Thoughts? Improvements? Better ideas?
>>
>>25201349
Maybe add something to entice him? Maybe add at the end if he ends up doing a good job in Mark he can begin a more..."formal" training under our supervision.
>>
>>25201434
That's how you plan to draw out Nalus? Faking an angry mob on his door? Nalus would run them all down before he ever approaches the spike trap.
>>
>>25201294
You frown at him, and kick him in the shin.

"OW! What was that for? Er, Lady Markova, what was that for?!"

You shake your head.

"Such massive eagerness smacks of flattery. I don't need puppies pawing at my heels, I need loyal, trained hunting dogs. Over-eagerness to please could lead to disaster."

He sits down cross-legged on the bed, rubbing his aching leg and sucking in air through his teeth.

"Yes, Lady Markova."

You nod to him.

"Tell me. What did you do before you came into my service?"

He smiles winningly.

"I ran a street gang, Lady Markova. Mostly selling contraband with a few enforcers to hold our territory."

You nod. It sounds like the kind of background you expected.

"Well then. You'll be glad to know that you are to be trained in how to serve my House by my butler, who has been in my service for decades. Then, you will become an agent of mine in Mark."

He nods eagerly.

"Where do I meet this butler?"

You gesture towards the door.

"The servants will direct you."

He eagerly steps towards the door.

> Anything else you'd like to say before he leaves?
>>
>>25201436
Shit, the boy can hardly keep it in his pants. He needs no further enticing. Lets start his training. I like the idea of having the butler train him. Not sure what our long term goal for him would be.
>>
>>25201436
>>25201493
Add this and I think we can ensure he will do anything we want perfectly.

Nah, he seems self-motivated as it is. No extra incentive for now.
>>
>>25201476
He's only one guy, he can't strike against 20 at once while they're all running away from him.

I plan for them to break and run the moment the first dies.

Unless we get /horrible/ rolls, he shouldn't get all of them.
>>
Hnggg, I've got a game in 20 minutes.

>Ambush Nalus with Ahote leading the operation.

Whatever happened to a simple ambush in the woods, now its like there's a whole damn army being gathered to handle this guy.

It's one nosferatu, all that needed to be done was to send angel, scarlet, and fluffy after luring out Nalus with with an invitation.

Now there's a whole army of fluffy's, a houndmaster, an Indian warchief, not to mention whatever else you guys come up with before we even send out the invitation.

So he heads out into the woods, makes a single test vs. the entire stealthiness checks of the horde while flying along, and goes, OH SHIT, I'M OUTTA HERE and flies away.

Whatever happened to keeping it simple?
>>
>>25201568
Nalus is an idiot, but he's a powerful idiot. We need superior firepower and experience if we're going to take him down and devour him.
>>
Just got on thread. Guys I see a lot of reluctance to use the addictive properties of her blood to take control of people and I can't figure out why. It gives a automatic way into someones mind.

If they happen to die and rise then we can easily control them to ask how they died and if we don't want them we can just use them as a base for flesh crafting or just kill them. If they run in the first year they die because they need our blood. I can't see any disadvantages to this.
>>
>>25201568
>So he heads out into the woods, makes a single test vs. the entire stealthiness checks of the horde while flying along, and goes, OH SHIT, I'M OUTTA HERE and flies away.
No, he chases a horde of peasants that attacked his house, notices he can't fly and gets overwhelmed by the hounds
>>
>>25199703
what the fuck?

No, that's foolish and ill thought-out.

I don't like the idea of agreeing with namefags, but in the last thread the plan was, send him an invitation, luring him to your castle, and catch him in the woods with Fluffy.

Now people got pissy because they were worried that if someone died on the way to our castle after they recieved an invitation that would damage what little reputation we have.

Well, I believe that all this gathering up a mob of dominated people and throwing them at the doors will do far more than damage our reputation, because now we've shifted from a subtle attack of opportunity, to a fulll on assault.

THAT IS NOT OUR STYLE.

That's my feeling on it.
>>

"Come to [this wooded clearing] in Ulvenwald. There is business to discuss. Signed, Another."

>>
>>25201637
No, using mortal hunters to take out your enemies is normal in vampire society, killing them in your house is not. How will it look if he goes out to visit us in our house and then dies. We will know we didn't kill him in our Hoese, but good luck proving that
>>
>>25201568
>Whatever happened to keeping it simple?

It's not really that complicated.
Have the Pack and others dug in and hidden.
Lure him out with failed attack from "Vampire Hunters"
Pounce and overwhelm with superior numbers and force.
Dinner Time.

The whole plan only has two potential points of failure.
One is harmless and costs us nothing. (the 'hunters' are lost)
And the other is extremely unlikely because of overwhelming force.
>>
>>25201711
He was saying the ambush happens while Nalus is enroute to our estate via Ulvenwald.
>>

You allow Maxwell to leave without adding anything more, then make your way out to the Ulvenwald side of the Castle. Amid the ruins, you spy Ahote, sitting by a fire, fire-hardening a birch spear. Unfamiliar runes run down one side of it; and you can see that to his right, a small pile of complicatedly-intertwined twigs is sitting.

He glances up when he sees you approach, but doesn't acknowledge you beyond a grunt of recognition.

> What do you wish to discuss with Ahote?
>>
>>25201727
Yes, but how will people know whether we killed him IN our house or on the way?
>>
>>25201745
"Your tribe comes first, but my attack on the other wolf-that-walks will be imminent. I assume I will count on your support, yes?"
>>
>>25201637
>>25201686
The point is, a false invitation has potential social and financial consequences.
Who would ever trust our invitations again?

Taking a little more time to lure him out costs us nothing.
>>
>>25201745
"Hello there Ahote, I trust your stroll in the woods was enjoyable."

Ask about the runes on the spear, the intertwined twigs, what they do, how they work, why birch and ash are important, it's time to be curious as fuck.

Also tell him that the hunt for Nalus is forthcoming and we expect him to be ready and join us for it, and the addition of the Huntsman and his pack.
>>
>>25201787
Do you have any idea how many other vampires employ false invitiations like that?

Here's a hint: the number is less than infinity, but greater than or equal to the number of vampires residing in Shadescast.
>>
>>25201817
Source?
>>
>>25201780
>>25201808
These. Run the above plan by him and get his take on it.

Ask how he would set the ambush.

Also, do we know where his place is or do we still need to find it?
>>
>>25201844
I'm being facetious, but you get the point. The false invitation is not an unheard of tactic.
>>
>>25201748
Because we wouldn't dare violate the guest rules.

The visitation rules are sacrosacnt for vampires, to violate them even a little is to invite your death.

I suggested the idea of the invitation in the first place then ambushing him because word would get around.

"Hey you hear the Lady Markova killed that runt Nalus?"
"Yeah, whats up with that? Oh, she invited him over, but when she discovered he had stolen one of her dolls, she freaked and murdered him on the way to her home."
"Ha, well played, I wouldn't dare to think of stealing one of her lovely porcelian dolls now."
"Especially that one with the number 6 emblazoned on it."
"Too right, more Bloodka?"
"Of course."

I don't see an issue with this plan at all. It would not damage our reputation, but reinforce it.
>>
>>25201885
Not to mention that people will figure out this attack was a reprisal for the attack upon OUR estate (not to mention theft of our property), and is thusly justified.
>>
>>25201787
My problem with a false invitation is because he might go on a walk through Shadescast or take some route other than walking through the dark woods to come and visit us. That'd be seriously awkward if he came through Shadescast and found us not there because we're waiting outside his house.
>>
>>25201637
Yes this.

Though personally I would study the guy a bit more. We wouldn't want to invite him then have him happen to have a friend with him walking with him or something.

And I don't think that just attacking is illegal or anything given he is barely a noble. We might want to study up on the guy a bit though just to be sure.
>>
>>25201891
>Bloodka
I prefer sanguiskey, myself.
>>
>>25201817
And how many of these others enjoy a reputation that allows them to break convention and summon higher ranking Vampires to their home instead of going to them?

We stand to lose that with the false invite.

We stand to lose nothing by taking an extra day to lure him out.
>>
>>25201891
Or it could go
"hey you heard that Nalus went missing? I think he died"
"What, the last time I met him he mentioned he had received an invitation from lady Markova to her home. Maybe she killed him"
"Kill him in her house? I didn't think she would step so low."
>>
>>25201941
There's nothing wrong with an extra day, but there's more efficient ways to go about it.
>>
>>25201745
"I will be relying on you when the time comes to hunt my rival. Can I count on you?"

Ahote simply nods. You decide to ask a question that requires a more elaborate answer.

"May I ask, what is the significance of Ash and Birch to the charms?"

He simply shakes his head.

Choosing not to press the issue for the moment, you instead ask about a battle plan.

"What do you think about using a mob of people to draw the other wolf from his castle?"

Ahote shakes his head.

"Wasteful. Better way. Take one of their servants. If he comes to rescue or kill, we trap him. He does not, we heal the servant, they teach us how to reach him in his lair."

> What's your opinion of Ahote's suggestion, and do you press for more details?
>>
>>25201919
That's a good point. We can't exactly pick his route for him with the invite.

Even if he does go through Ulvenwald, how the fuck do we know he's go past our ambush site?

Unless we know his route in advance, we'll have to lure him into the ambush.
>>
>>25201992
This is a decent idea. But the guy would have to care about servants.

We might want to jack one and use it as a link as well to spy.
>>
>>25201992
Kidnapping. An eye for an eye, plus potential information.

This is why we pay you, Ahote. Except we're not paying you.
>>
>>25201992
Sounds like a good plan to me, but we'd have to figure a way to capture one of his servants without him knowing we did it.
>>
>>25201992
> What's your opinion of Ahote's suggestion
Possible option. We'd need to know more.

Do his servants come outside in Ulvenwald where we could snatch them?

We'd have to scout his place before we could go with this.
>>
>>25201992
I like his plan assuming its feasible.

All we have to do is find where his castle is in Ulvenwald and Shadescast, we'll keep an eye on it, jack a servant who is vulnerable, perhaps by going outside, one way or another, probably Domination, and then pull them away. He'll come after us and we'll have set up a trap by that point and he'll get ripped apart by our forces.

Do we know where his castle is or where any of his Servants are? Would it be easy to find out either of these through asking the right person or just using a simple scrying spell?
>>
>>25202027

Okay, assuming we can snatch a servant, update of the plan.

>Snatch one and Dominate.
>Tell him to steal [valuable item] and bring it to [Location X]
Option 1:
>Servant gets caught and tells him about the thief waiting to collect [valuable item]
>Narlus goes out to fuck up a thief and gets ambushed.
Option 2:
>The servant gets away.
>Send him back to steal [another valuable item] until we get option 1.
>>
>>25202139
>>25202143
You know that his holdings are to the northwest of yours generally and about 50 miles or so away, but you're not certain about anything else regarding them.
>>
>>25202337
Distances are big in Ulvenwald.
>>
>>25202317
>Narlus sees that another vampire dominated his servants and wants to draw him out with a viable item, so he brings all his minions etc. to try and kill us
>>
>>25202337
Send Ahote to scout it out
>>
>>25202337
Time for Flesh-Craft scouts.

Hobo brain in the body of a bird or something like that.
Something that could fly around without drawing attention.

Have them scout the area during the day until they find it for us. We can go from there.
>>
>>25202407
Ahote says it will take two days for him to reach the area, another two to scout it, and another two to return, as there are no streams large enough to canoe nearby.
>>
>>25202337
How long would it take for the Hounds to cover that distance? I'm guessing not all that long because they're the fucking Hounds.

We need to do more scouting and they make great scouts, they can smell who comes in and out of the place, bring us a mental picture of it, they'll get there and back faster than Ahote, and if a servant of his is outside for some reason and vulnerable they can drag the servant back to us because they're good doggies.

While that's happening have Ahote oversee setting up a good place for the ambush.
>>
>>25202436
>Hobo brain in the body of a bird or something like that.

I like this.

>>25202449
>6 days total to come back

Ask if there's a different way to scout it that's just as efficient but faster.

And warn him to be careful. We don't know much about the wolf's holdings other than location.
>>
>>25202449
Flying scouts would be quicker and less risky.
>>
>>25202456
They can be there by the end of today and return tomorrow, even bringing the Huntsman the whole way.
>>
>>25202480
Unfortunately, that would ruin the surprise of our attack force potentially being exposed. If Ahote says he can scout it, let him scout it. It gives us a full week to prepare by the time he gets back.
>>
>>25202520
Otherwise, if we don't want to risk Ahote, we can always quickly whip up a couple birds from some leftover flesh and send them flying to scout the holdings themselves.
>>
>>25202480
I wouldn't want to send the Hounds for this.

If he or a servant spots a monstrous hell-hound snooping around his lands, it'll be a clue that's something's up.

It'll be harder to lure him into an ambush if he's already on guard against monstrous hell-hounds.
>>
>>25202541
Or you could just dominate some regular birds, same difference.
>>
>>25202520
They'd have the Huntsman with them, they've been optimized towards stealth and know tactics when the Huntsman is with them.

They're not that likely to get caught if they're smart and are easy to mistake as some sort of beast that inhabits the forest.
>>
>>25202559
You said we only have a max animal dominate range of a mile, and that Nalus's holdings are potentially 50+ miles away. The dominate wouldn't hold beyond that range.
>>
>>25202559
Let's do this and move on to picking up our new dresses
>>
>>25202541
Yeah, sending him off for a week to scout a Vampires lands does sound a bit like 'suicide mission'.

Hobo-brain birds.
>>
>>25202587
Not dominate. Direct I-AM-THE-BIRD is one mile.
>>
>>25202607
Fine then. Dominate the birds, have them find Nalus's estate, and report back to either Isabella or Ahote.
>>
>>25202559
You nod to Ahote and decline the offer. Instead, you call out with your powers, and dominate a few small birds to serve as your eyes and ears.

Now that that's done, you have some time to pick up dresses back in Mark... Though honestly, it seems a bit more efficient to take a moment while you're here to decide what to do with the village.

> Since we're here, why don't we bundle all the stuff in Mark together and all the stuff in Ulvenwald together?
>>
>>25202642
>why don't we bundle all the stuff in Mark together and all the stuff in Ulvenwald together?

I'm interested, but how?
>>
>>25202642
Sure, let's do it.
>>
>>25202642
Send someone to sort through the village to take everything valuable or interesting.
I don't think we ca do anything with the Buildings right now.
>>
>>25202382
That's a good point. Domination is noticeable because it gives people "Renfield-esqu" traits.

A group of "Vampire Hunters" attacking wouldn't give any chances for social interaction. You wouldn't notice and odd habits or tics.
If you caught and questioned a thief, you could.

Okay, if we do decide to snatch & grab, how are we going to use it?

How are we going to lure him out?
>>
>>25202662
The only other thing we have to do in Ulvenwald is personally check out the village that Scarlet and Angel cleared out when they recovered Rose.
>>
>>25202642
What is there to do with that little farming village?

Are there any rare, interesting, and valuable plants that could be farmed there? Are there any valuable natural resources in Ulvenwald we could exploit using the village whether it be rare woods, rare plants, rare animals whether for their pelts or captured alive and used as base material for interesting projects?
>>
>>25202685
Let's focus on finding Nalus's place first before we go much further.
>>
>>25202703
That's what we're about to find out.
>>
>>25202703
It''s an empty village at the moment. Even if there are local resources, we have no one to exploit them.

If we do make a deal with Ahotes tribe and they agree to serve us, they'll probably move closer to our lands.

We could house them in the newly available village.
>>
>>25202703
You decide to take the time to look at the village while you're here.

It seems to be mostly a farming town, growing some form of wheat along a river.

However, Ahote's comment about rivers jogs your mind- this village is probably essentially built on a highway. The river here is quite large. If you were to have a watermill built here, it would be able to do all kinds of useful work, wether that would be for flour or for lumber.

It's a prime piece of real estate. The problem, of course, is that it's in Ulvenwald. Whoever works here will need guards day and night from threats such as yourself.
>>
>>25202915
>It's a prime piece of real estate.

After this enemy vampire business we try to set up that village into a trading post.
>>
>>25202915
Send some servants to search the houses for money and other valuables
>>
>>25202971
The Tin Soldiers quickly and efficiently gather up everything that's valuable and not nailed down.

You gain 5 Holdings from looting the place.
>>
>>25202915
File that away for future action, once we've dealt with Nalus we'll start tasking the Huntsman and the Hounds to hunt down things in the surrounding area and bring interesting specimens and cool critters back to us.

Animals aren't dumb, if the Hounds make it clear that this is our territory through intense murder they'll stay the fuck out and leave this place in peace for farming, putting in the water mill, collecting lumber from the forest, and setting up trade along the river.

For now, dresses.
>>
>>25202915
>Contact Ahotes people.
>Make a deal for them to serve us.
>Settle in our empty village.
>Offer them Hounds to aid in hunting and guarding village.
>Their hunters give us regular supply of monster-flesh.
>The villagers produce.... We'll see what they can do.

But tough flyers that can keep an eye on our perimeter without being suspicious is a good thing.

We'll want shocktroopers, big, heavily armored, heavy weapons, preferably able to regenerate.

We'll want to be able to automate dreg gathering so we may need to make ones that can go out into somewhere like Eyesocket, look normal, capture a drag or two with some sort of sleeping injection and bring them back to us.

More Human++ Servants that we can have infiltrate normal society and spy on things. These ones with a focus on stealth, speed, and social infiltration. Make them pretty.

The Pack is a combination of fast/mobile, stealthy, strong, and tough. They're hunters, not dedicated frontliners. They can manage in a front line due to the fact that they're tough, but it's not what they're made for.

For Shocktroopers I would focus on heavy armor, not just being tough, more regeneration, and a more bipedal frame for easier formation combat instead of spreading and circling their prey. The bipedal frame also lets us equip them with axes, shields, and large firearms.

Honestly, too big to be practical for almost all tasks, couldn't fit most places, draws too much attention, attention is bad when we're talking about drawing the attention of Elder Vampires or other large organizations, is difficult to maintain and get enough flesh for it, and we might get fucked by the square-cube law. Not to mention with a size like that you need a large support element to keep it from getting swarmed and hamstrung.

Sure it'd smash castles real good, but how often do we need to have something break castles? And we'd probably be better off using cannon and siege weaponry for that sort of thing.
>>
>>25204715
I guess it's not the most practical project, but it'd be a neat toy.
>>
>>25204715
>we might get fucked by the square-cube law.
I don't follow.
>>
>>25205154
Metaphorical fucking, not literal fucking.

The square cube law is the mathematical relationship between something's volume and its area. In a biological sense as something gets bigger the cross section of the muscles gets bigger, and it's the cross sectional mass which determines strength, but the volume/mass increase at a much faster rate, so as you scale it up its strength relative to its size decreases.

Scaling a human up to that size would simply not work, it'd break its legs under its own weight, the stress on its joints would be astronomical, swinging its arm would lead to everything ripping and tearing, its heat dissipation would be terrible and it might cook itself inside its armor. Not to mention that if it fell it'd literally crush itself.

This is the reason that if you took a ant and scaled it up to human size it'd break under the weight of its own exoskeleton.

Let's say we made a 60 foot giant, about 10 times the height of a tall man, and kept human proportions and shape. Assuming the 6 foot man weighed around 200 pounds the giant would weigh about 100 tons, getting that much flesh would be an astronomical task, stress wise it would be constantly taking 10 times the impact per square inch on its bones, joints, and tendons, imagine instead of putting your weight on your foot putting 10 times your weight on it, things would snap, break, fracture, bend, twist, and otherwise fail. I mean we can make stronger bones, tendons, everything, and apply magic to it, but it's not approaching feasibility any time soon.

Obviously this is a real world physics concern and can easily be suspended due to rule of cool.
